Springfield Therapeutic Massage

Today I visited Springfield Therapeutic. The massage and experience was very professional. The lady at the front desk was very pleasant and professional. Looks like she really enjoyed dealing with customers. The overall experience was great and I will be returning.

I would have given them 1 star, however the massages here are actually pretty good. Before you get to the desk to check out, they are pushing a tip envelope on you. I love to tip good work and usually always do, however give me a chance to honor your work as this is optional, especially since I paid full in advance for my service. This particular appointment I didnt have cash on me, so I asked where I can find an ATM. The lady at front desk told my masseuse to follow me to the ATM to get her $, as if I didnt already pay her for my serive and I wouldnt come back to pay her a TIP. Well here is my tip for you! I wont come back here. Very unprofessional!

Everything about this place is cheap. The oil they use stinks, I did an hour for $75 it was waste of money and time. The guy who massaged name Mason making me feel uncomfortable, by getting closer to my body, so unprofessional. Nothing is good at this, place. The cashier told me how much I should tip him, worst experience ever and will not recommended to anyone and will definitely not go there again. 😩

Asked specially for a female and was given a male after already being undressed on the table. If you ask the question, why don’t you honor the answer?? I’m not sure if this was a mistake or lack of attention on doing your job correctly, but this is inappropriate. Then a tip envelope was shoved in my face the second I stepped into the lobby. Do better.

Great massage experience ever, which I recommended to all my friends and they love it as well. The therapist released my soreness and hit my spot perfectly like acupuncture. By the way, the front receptionist lady was super nice and patient. She gives you comprehensive introduction and makes you feel comfortable to enjoy the therapeutic massage. Definitely I’ll come back!

Absolutely horrible experiences. I have been here numerous times, thinking maybe the first two providers weren’t good. They are all not good. My goodness. They start late, end early, the massages are terrible, and they are very rude. I’ll never go here again. Buyer beware.

I have been coming to this massage parlor for about five years. The customer service is impeccable. My masseuse Shadona is amazing. I’ve been going to her so long that she knows my body completely. I don’t have to tell her what service I need she just knows what to do. She gets the job done and I always leave feeling like I’m on a cloud just floating. I’ve also done a couple of couple massages with my husband, and we are not disappointed. I will continue to come here until I can’t. I highly recommend this massage parlor.

Nancy is absolutely AMAZING!!!!!! The best massage I’ve ever gotten and she is so intentional with the massage! It’s my favorite treat to myself!

Julie was my therapist. She has a good bedside manner. Tried to upsell me (again, after the receptionist tried while I was waiting) on “cupping”. I did the deep tissue massage and she has a firm hand so after bearing the pain for a while I asked her to lower the pressure. She spent a lot of time on my back and neck. I had a 90 min massage and she spent almost 60 on the back then legs and neck while I was on my stomach. After turning the massage was rushed. I had a gift certificate that was for $125 - the massage was $110 - however they wouldn’t let me apply the remainder for tip. I had to tip in cash. This was annoying bc now I have a $15 balance that I will have to remember to have them apply next time. They didn’t give me any receipt or any proof of this balance.

Mason really helped me with the deep tissue massage. Id been having really bad upper back pain from all the tension from work and now a few days after its stopped! Ill be going back to him for sure.

This place is wonderful, my neck is really uncomfortable this week, and my coworker recommended me this massage place. Wang-To-Yick is really helpful, I feel much more better.

The massage was great, but the lady from the front desk is always in a hurry to take your money and get you the hell out of there.

Mason was the answer to my prayer! He heloed to ease muscle pain and tension after a case of whiplash. I really could not recommend him enough. Just hope he is free when next I need him.

Parking at the mall and getting to your appointment is a hassle. The massage was good, but I dont think Id come back unless I was going to be at the Mall already. There are better, cheaper places around that you can get to easier.Photo is from where I had to park.

I have came here weekly for several months so far. I consistently get good massage that helps with my weekly recovery, both from mental and physical stress. I do not use this place for specialization in targeted areas (i.e., if one spot on my body really needs attention). Instead, it is useful for general well being. Additionally, the price of this place and availability is superb; probably unmatched in the area. Buying in bulk, an hour massage can be just $65! And walk-in appointments are viable. I generally select any therapist, and have always left feeling more relaxed and recovered.5/5 stars because Springfield Therapeutic Massage expertly delivers on what it sets out to be.

The woman at the front desk was incredibly welcoming and friendly! Unfortunately, she was the highlight of the experience. We went in for a couples massage, and the minimum seems to be an hour for that option. Apparently, that hour includes the time they leave to let you get undressed , waiting for them, and it was very generous to allow us 15 minutes of the end of our hour to get dressed leaving the actual massage time about 35 mins. Suffice to say for us splurging on something nice for a special occasion and my first massage ever, it was quite disappointing. And as kind as the front desk was, we wont be back.The three stars are for the front desk, the room was comfortable and quiet, and for the time of the massage, it wasnt bad.

Like the other reviews said, the oil is cold and not warmed up. That’s a pretty basic thing in massage therapy is warmed oil. That alone will make me not come back. Not to discredit the hard work the ladies put in, but it felt like they didn’t want to be there. There were no hot towels to wipe off the oil, they used the sheet instead? If you are skinny they will ask you if the pressure is OK, then go harder throughout. If you are a man or bigger they will assume you want very hard. There is no consultation or even a quick “what would you like to focus on”.This is definitely not a “spa day” or “treat yo self” excursion. I would go somewhere else. The pros are that the room felt nice and the head massage was nice.

BAD EXPERIENCE. Me and my boyfriend had went here to do the couples massage. I am putting 3 stars only because the lady that massage me was 5/10. The oil was cold and it felt like she was just rubbing my back to get it over with. Heres whats worse, my boyfriend did NOT even get oil on his back so the GUY who was massaging him did it completely raw and rough. He was pushing through his back muscles and going around circles giving him a bad soreness the next day. Dont recommend. You are also EXPECTED to give a TIP regarless the experience. Wont come back here ever.

Excellent price!!! Massage was good, not exceptional, but gets the job done. My husband had a back ache and he says it helped his back. Receptionist was nice and followed through when we asked for separate receipts even if we did a couples massage. Room was clean, temperature and oil were comfortable. Giving them 4 stars because we signed up for 1 hr massage but they finished 5 minutes earlier. My therapist didnt ask me what pressure I wanted but I heard my husbands therapist asked him. She did ask me if everything was okay. So, my husband said that he might come back regularly for his massages!

Great massage, building was pretty cold and the facial steamer didnt work so I did not get the full facial, but they did good improvising and giving a facial massage.

It is so wrong for a business to not pay their employees a salary. Why because you are asked for a tip before the massage is done. At 80 dollars per hours tip should not be allowed. Its not that I dont appreciate the service its just the simple fact that you pay for a service, tip is not a requirement. Its a token of gratitude if I so desired.

My wife and I decided to have a couples massage. We dont get massages all the time so we werent entirely sure what we were doing. The experience though was worth it. The facility was not only clean but smelled nice as well. It was a relaxing and enjoyable experience. Id like to go back soon to experience the hot rocks or the aromatherapy, or any of the other types of massages they offer. Learning what type of massage your body needs in my opinion makes the experience all that much better. The staff was very professional and made suggestions what massages worked for pinched nerves, joint pain, etc.

DONT GO HERE. We did a couples massage last night, not only did the massage seem sloppy and rushed, the amount was pressure was terrible and it was hard pressure on my spine in my neck that today I have a sharp shooting pain. Not muscular. My husband can’t raise his arm because his shoulder hurts so bad. When I told them that one of their movement was hurting me, he laughed and kept doing it. When I asked for light pressure he didn’t even lighten the pressure. WORST MASSAGE K HAVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE. Incorrect techniques. And they asked for a tip afterwards?? The audacity.

I believe this is a great place to get your first massage. Not too pricy and there has never been a wait time due to having many rooms & staff available. It feels pretty sound proof to be in a mail and I’ve taken a few people here to impress. My recommendation is to get an hour and adding an essential oil for ~$5 extra is worth it every time!

First time customer, found them on Groupon & called. I didnt use Groupon to book them because the front desk told me its better to boo through them instead of Groupon. I get massages regularly but I was traveling and booked a couples massage with them for me and my friend cause my regular massage company wasnt available. Their deals are based on if youre paying cash only. If youre using a card, you pay the full price anyway (deceitful) this is because they prefer if you pay cash.I went there yesterday when you walk in, the place is clean, but they dont do any initial assessment to see what you need, they just assume what you need. They ask about pressure preference, My masseuse was John, though I liked the pressure he stopped 3 times to sneeze and cough, he used cold lotion without warming it up in his hands and he did not wipe the lotion off after the massage. He spent 45-50 mins on me facing head down and less than 15 on me facing up, much less time was spent and that part of the massage was rushed because he had to finish. My friends masseuse was Lisa, he liked the pressure but he couldnt communicate at all with his therapist because she didnt speak much english, he had an accident that caused nerve damage in one of his arms and he was telling her to not pull it during the massage because it cannot fully extend, she did it anyway. His massage was rushed for the time she spent on him face up because both therapist tried to keep the same pace to finish together.We both usually tip well but they tell you how much you should tip them in a aggressive manner, that is a tacky & unprofessional. The amount of gratuity and how much should be based on the quality of service according to the customers experience smh. I dont plan to go back again & dont recommend them.

We had a 3 PM one hour couples massage scheduled. After waiting five minutes we asked when was the room going to be ready. The front host told us that the room still needed to be cleaned, 5 more minutes later, then we were told that the previous couple was still in there. 5 more minutes later when we asked for the final time when the room would be available, we got a blank stare. So we left. Terrible customer service.

I love, love, LOVEEEE this place. It’s a great place to come and get a nice, quick massage when you’re done shopping at the mall. I’ve tried other places but this place is by far the best. I highly recommend Linda. She applies the perfect amount of pressure. I always leave feeling like a brand new person and wish I could come at least once a week! Check them out!

Tom is a wonderful masseur, he is very experienced, and good on deep tissue. I feel my whole body and tiring ache muscles loose up instantly. My stiffness is melting away. I have been try to find a good masseur for a decade. I finally found one, highly recommend if you can tolerate strong hands on deep tissue message. Tom is the one!

I requested 1 hour massage and I added cupping, but when the hour of massage was over and I said I also asked for cupping the lady told that she was never told by front Desk about it. So I end up no getting cupping, because all they said to me was sorry sorry multiple times, Im very disappointed about that.

I’m there to relax, how could I with another dude touching me?! This is my go-to place when I need to get a bad knot out of my shoulders. They take walks and reservations, but I have never had an issue getting a same day res or even a res 30 mins before hand.

Recently I was experiencing significant lower back pain from a knotted muscle, to the point that I was in constant pain! Having previously received a deep muscle massage I believe, correctly, a deep muscle massage would relieve the pain. I was correct, my therapist Mason worked out not one but several knotted muscles from my neck to lower back. Having experienced deep muscle massages previously I knew the experience would be painful...it was as expected, BUT successful. The pain is gone largely from the efforts of Mason. Recommend Springfield Therapeutic Massage, especially Mason

My husband and I just received a couples massage from Karen and Amy here today. Omg. Best massage EVER. And that says a lot because I get a lot of massages. We both told them where we wanted the focus to be and how much pressure and they followed exactly what we wanted and made it the best massage experience I’ve ever ever had. ALSO, this place gives actual hour long, 60 minute massages. I actually have a membership to another massage place and their hour long massages are only 45 minutes of actual massaging which is such a scam but hard how most places do it. But not here!!! They don’t screw you and their prices are excellent!!!

Walked in and was greeted with a warm welcome. I purchased a 35 minute massage with Lynda and it was great she really got some / most of my stress out from my shoulders. The music was therapeutic and very soothing puts you right at peace. Definitely recommend trying this place also prices are great

It is in the mall proper. The address takes you to the middle of am intersection. If I hadnt been recommended to them, and been told it was next to I would not have found it.Fortunately the time of day I went (3pm on a Friday) they werent busy and was able to get me right in.This was only my second professional massage. It was a very relaxing and calming environment to say the least. The staff was professional and clear in what they needed from me to help make the service better.The cost was comparable to other massage places I have looked at.With all of that being said, I WILL be a repeat customer.

Place is clean and relaxing. Positives end there. Paid for a sports massage and was given a lukewarm and somewhat painful swedish. I even reiterated to the tech before the massage this and areas that needed attention and she just ignored it or didnt understand. Did not wipe cold lotion off of body with hot towel when finished either. Price online did not match in store price. Absolutely horrible and would not recommend.

Two Very unpleasant experience to say the least1. I bought a Groupon for 55 minutes message but these people have trouble honoring my purchase. The deal was for clients to book Monday through Friday at specific hours. When I called to schedule I was told by the manager that I can’t book with a specific masseuse because I have a Groupon. She went on to tell me that it’s not fair for the masseuse to book a client with Groupon. She made me feel like my money doesn’t worth her time. Mind you the deal I got from Groupon is cheaper with only $10. If they don’t want honor the deal, they shouldn’t have entertain the idea. This people are a scam and very inappropriate. I have already reported them to Groupon and I am telling everyone I know to not put a step their foot in this place. Very unprofessional and inappropriate.2. The last time I was there, they didn’t have a single room so they put me in a room with two massage tables. I was told I will be the only one in the room. In the middle of my massage session they close the curtain and put another person on the table. It made me super uncomfortable to be in a room with a stranger divided in curtain. I couldn’t relax and enjoy my message. Again it’s very unprofessional and full of greediness . Do not go there. It doesn’t worth your time or money !

Traveling and Therapeutic Massage was recommended by a colleague. It was excellent. I was concerned about the location in the mall but the rooms were very quiet. Staff was very polite. Jessica was my therapist and I highly recommend her. I wanted deep tissue and she was excellent.

My go-to massage therapy place. They have all the forms and info needed to file claims with your insurance. The staff is friendly and quick on appointment booking (appointments arent necessary, but always a good thing). Therapists are professional and skilled. Place is always clean.

She asked about a tip for cash before we get massage, and she said that the whole body massage , including foot massage. But we both didnt get foot massage. So I complained , but she was more upset me sound ridiculous. I asked for a strong therapist since I like deep pressure. I was assured that would be the case. The only good thing that happened during my 1 hour session that I fell asleep and had a good nap. Otherwise I would prefer not to have to pay someone to rub lotion on me for an hour. At times it was awkward as all she did as just rubbing my face and slamming my legs against the massage table. I hated it. Ive had 3 hour massages and usually dont want my massages to end, but I couldnt wait for this 1 hour session to be over. Ill stick to Malee Thai Massage in old Town, I have been going there for years. The therapists there understand muscles and can give deep massages.

Good deep pressure. Got all the knots out. Knew where all sore spots were and took care of them.

Very friendly staff and never felt pressured to tip or buy things. You have to find the right therapist for you as they all have different techniques and styles. I prefer Tony or Kevin because they are more firm with pressure and seem very experienced at their techniques! My only criticism is the rooms are not fully sound proof as the walls are open at the very top towards the cieling. This usually result in some obnoxious costumers grunting, snoring, and speaking too loud in the room next to you, but not always.

No matter what your ailment its the same massage routine. If you like the routine you will never be disappointed as it is consistent despite the therapist. However if you dont like the routine...no matter who you get, it will be the same. I happen to like the routine and would say its really good...amazing considering its from a mall.

THIS IS THE WORST MESSAGE EVER!!!! My back hurts more now even after the message. When I got there nobody was at the front desks. ( that should have been a sign then) The lady comes from out the back and didn’t even say HELLO. She said walk-in or do you have a appointment. I told her I have a appointment. She said follow me she took me to a room and said what area do you want HIM to do. I said I’m here for a full body message. She said oh okay. Meanwhile I’m still standing there, she didn’t hand me no robe or anything. She leaves out a guy comes in and said I’m ready. I said ready for what he said to message you, he said take off your shirt. I then ask him to leave to room he returned 3 minutes later. Kevin I found out his name when I left out. Was so rough on my back this is the only spa I know that use lotion and No aromatherapy oils. This was my first and LAST time there.

I thought that this place will be my go to for a good relaxing massage .I have been to this place several times. The place is clean, music is relaxing, massage is good. But today I decided that I will never come back to this place anymore because of how unprofessional the receptionist have treated me. I paid $40 for a massage and 20% for the tip and the receptionist insisted with an attitude that the 20% tip was not enough because the regular price of the massage was $60. It wouldn’t have been an issue if the price and the special offer was explained to me in the beginning and in a nice way but the receptionist talked down on me like I did something horrible. Also, the receptionist told me that they don’t accept credit cards even though they do. Coming here just made me feel sad....

The bad: no foot massage and they are pushy about you giving a cash tip. They also dont try to quiet customers who talk too loud, so you hear them.The good: they do a good deep-tissue massage, the massage therapists dont usually try to chit-chat too much with you (which I like because I am trying to relax).The biggest advantage of this place is that they take walk-ins. Most other massage places want an appointment, but I am not usually interested in scheduling an appointment for a massage....Im interested in getting a massage NOW. This place does that pretty well, so I keep going back there despite their annoying/rude cash tip requests and despite the fact that they wont touch your feet even if you pay for a 60-90 minute full body massage.The other thing they do really well: deep tissue.They have a rewards card, which is cool.

First let me say, I will NEVER return, simply for the rudeness of the woman at the front desk.Beautiful facility, well appointed. The man who gave me a lot massage did a GREAT job. Zero issues there. I am a REGULAR massage customer, wherever work takes me. At least once a week, I get a foot reflexology. The issue comes in after the massage. I get to the front desk to pay, and before the receptionist even says one word to me, she slaps a little envelope on the desk in front of me with the therapists name on it. I knew immediately she was about to ask me for a tip, before I even had an opportunity to give one. I said nothing, but took out my debit card to pay and asked if she took a card. She said yes, but do you have Cash for his tip? I shook my head a bit, confused as to why I was being harassed about a tip I had no even had a chance to leave yet. I said, no I do no thane cash today. She ran my card and handed me the receipt to sign. It was a $45 service, and I left him an $8 tip. Last time I checked, leaving a tip and the associated amount is my choice, based on how happy I was with my experience. At this point I was totally put off by her force. She had no smile for me, no pleasantries. Just, my only concern is you leaving a tip. So, after I signed my receipt with an $8 tip, she said, can you leave him more of a tip than that?. I could NOT believe my ears. I told her that was very rude to ask. And that she put me off 3 comments ago. She kept going. I will NEVER go back.

This place is very relaxing for me, because I sit for a long time at work, so my back is bothering me, but their masseurs helped me, they were very nice, very enthusiastic to ask me where I need to focus on treatment, this is my favorite place, I highly recommend you to come here！！！

I have had two one-hour deep tissue surrender sessions over the past month, with two different therapists. I was 100% satisfied with them both. Jin (male) is strong and was able to deeply penetrate my tightest spots in the back and legs, working deep into the tissues and slowly working out the knots. Jenny gave a more flowing and softer massage that still get deep into my back and hamstrings. In both cases, I walked out rejuvenated and refreshed. This location has a very soothing atmosphere and is conveniently located near the Nordstrom entrance of the Springfield Town Center, so you can get in and out quite easily.

Best experience in a long time!!

All clothes off and stress soon followed behind.. .the price is a bit up there but so worth it, I love in Woodbridge im very tempted to drive back to Springfield to have them put their magic hands on me.Only thing I didnt like was toward the end I didnt know if the session was over or not the lady just walked out after four mins I got up and got dressed but I dont think I was suppose to... even though I was still very satisfied

I’ve been here a couple times and have always had a great experience. The masseurs are very attentive and do a wonderful job, the front desk staff are very professional, the rooms are always clean, and the price is great!

Bad service in massage a gentleman used his hand bones to do deep massage I told him I wanted normal massage not deep he did not understand much English frustratingly bothered my neck with his bones I do not recommend this place for anyone almost all the staff that work in this place they dont speak much english
