Midnight Rodeo

The bartender I had was friendly and fast. The 3 separate bars kept the lines short. Never had a problem with any of the staff. Security was present and appeared competent. I was told by staff at the door that this establishment is considered to be a night club and not a country bar. The music was not that great and there was more hip hop than country music. If you prefer real country, don’t come here after 9pm. The DJ didn’t know how to keep the crowd engaged and his transitions between songs were horrible. I was expecting line dancing, two stepping, and couples dancing. Instead, it was more of a club scene with songs played from a bad wedding/cruise remix. I expected the newer country hick hop but I never expected to hear the 1995 R&B song “This is how we do it” by Montell Jordan. This place really needs to figure out its brand.

The drinks were very good and the music was mediocre but its just not the vibe, if your country this is your place but overall just not my kind of party, and the womens restroom smelled GOD AWFUL, definitely not coming back to this one.

Its ok, has a dance floor. I went for the mechanical bull. It wasnt there anymore. Which was unfortunate. There is like 3 bars with bartenders at each. Its not really my scene. Im not country so yeah I wouldnt be spending too much time there. They say they play all kinds of music but its pretty much a stereotypical rundown of country with disgusting dance songs that you hear literally everywhere.

Went with my husband and friends. We danced, played pool had a great time. Good atmosphere and music.

A good venue with lots of space and great staff. Happy hour drink pricing is economical and there was good flow at the bar to get you libations. The guys behind the bar were really hustling. The music selection really wasnt my scene, for the most part, but it IS the Rodeo, so it met expectations all around.

We have become regulars at Midnight Rodeo. Drinks are strong, music is great to dance to but where are the county dancers?!?!? We need to fill this place up with hard core country!!! Come on out and show Springfield what country dancing looks like! Anyone?!?!?The BEST things about this place are the amazing staff and that they play country all night long and don’t switch it to hip hop late in the night like other so called country bars. Good mix of 2 step, country swing and line dance music.When we walk in, the bartender starts mixing our drinks, doorman remembers our name. Love it!!!! Come out and learn country folks!

Cheap, friendly, and they have a TV for your husband if they dont want to dance!

I am only giving them 5 stars because the owner handled my issue very well. Im actually going to spare you the details of the incident and tell you what would have made it a much better experience.If you are ordering drinks, skip the rotating bar. Go to the one in front of the sound booth. Youll find better drinks, efficient service, and amicable personality. Once you get your drinks and want to see something entertaining, find a place to perch that gives you a good view of the rotating bar and watch the dingbats with the gaping egos be all they can be. Its like a dance club comedy show all in one place. If I hadnt waited 30 minutes for a drink, then called a liar, you might not be getting this tidbit of advice. I can assure you I stood there long enough to know there had to be a better option for obtaining a drink. Ill give you a clue as to what you will see: Jackass.... Enjoy the show and youre welcome.

I haven’t been to Midnight Rodeo in a few years. The drinks were great and reasonably priced. David, my bartender was very attentive and fast. Great music, great crowd. Overall a fun night of dancing with friends!

My wife and I drove from Kansas City Missouri to Springfield Missouri to see Pricilla Block at Midnight Rodeo. What a fun venue! Tons of drinks, great staff, clean restrooms! Ive been to a lot of country bars and this one may be one of the nicest. The concert sounded great and everyone was having good time. 10/10 would recommend.

Great local place to dance.. I was in town from Houston texas and was able to find plenty of ladies who could dance.. they play a variety of country, pop and hip hop! Drink specials were good also! Highly recommend you stop in!

If you go here, make sure you bring cash and pay per drink. DO NOT, under any circumstances, start a tab!!! If they think you’re drunk, they will add extra drinks to your tab and then refuse to give an itemized receipt. Crooks!

Visiting from California, my friend took me to play pool & dancing 🕺💃Cool bar friendly staff, mix drinks a bit pricey would have consumed more if they hadnt been!Although we had a super great time on the dance floor 🤠🤣😆

If I could give zero stars I would. They kept discriminating against us and wouldn’t play anything but country music. Wouldn’t come here again. They suck! Everyone was being weird towards us during our visit and we’re a mixed race group. Don’t come here if you’re African American/black. They hate us!

Love MIDNIGHT RODEO, l started couples dance lessons 10 years ago. Love Kelly and Dwight from STEP BY STEP. Awesome teachers. The atmosphere is friendly. Feel like its a family. As a dancer I appreciate the care of the dance floor. No drinks allowed or standing on floor. Makes it safer for all.

Nice place fun atmosphere just dont reserve in advance it does no good. Yes we had a table but couldnt leave the table everytime we did we had to run people off when we came back to the table then for new year we was dancing and came back to table for our toast and these guys opened our champagne and helped themselves to our glasses and sprayed it all over my coat and chair then trashed our table when we showed up and said something to them then they just walked away like oh well. Will definitely go back just not paying for a reservation anymore

I have been going to Midnight rodeo since I turned 18 and I always have a good time. The drink specials are great so be sure to get there early. Since the new owner took over, the mechanical bull is gone - kind of unfortunate because it definitely provided funny entertainment. Also, there are only 2 pool tables now, a table for beer pong and a punching bag machine versus the 6 pool tables it once had. You can request songs on their notepad by the DJ booth. Ive gone to a couple concerts there, all of which were quite fun, but its been a while since Ive attended a concert there as the variety has not tickled my fancy. Given the other choices in town, Midnight Rodeo is my number one choice for dancing and decent music, as well as atmosphere.

Best night to go is Thursday. It always seems really dead any other night. The booty shaking contest is a whole lot of fun! The dance floor stays hot all night on Thursday. This is definitely the place to go if you are looking for a good ole country time!

Im a truck driver from Texas and was looking for a nice place to dance and have a drink. I loved it! Everyone was so nice, the music was great and the dance floor was nice. Would definitely go again.

Great place! Love the vibe and music and drinks are super cheap. Have new DJ and pool tables, really making a lot of great changes. Their concerts are really good as well

The drinks were very reasonably priced, the bar tender was great, HOWEVER they took more money from my account then they should have. Pulled out money from my account twice, when I only had one tab the whole night. Was looking forward to going back, but pretty disappointed that I cant trust them to take out the right amount. Costed me a pretty big overdraft fee.

Do not use your debit or credit card here. Fraudulent business. If you sign a receipt showing X amount of dollars it will be upwards of 5-10 more than what you signed for. Confronted management about this and they justified by saying “they over charge and money is return 3 days later” during the same conversation I showed them my transaction from 4 days prior, being $10 over what I charged and the manager offered to pay the difference to me IN CASH right there. Currently addressing the issue with my lawyer this business is fraudulent and will take your money without telling you and without justification.

Just came here to enjoy some pool, got hustled by a couple of hooligans When I confronted them they told me we could settle it in the parking lot. So I did what any man would do, I hid in the restroom for hours. The restroom wasnt exactly clean. The next day I had a cold. Not gonna blame the restroom, but also not...not gonna blame the restroom.

Good experience. unique bar. Great place to go to stepping and to watch a concert when they have live music.

Great club situated on one of Springfield’s main roads. Rotating bar and live music are the highlights, also nice that it’s located across the street from a decent hotel and food.

This Mexican salsa noise is really disappointing. ..nobody dancing hardly.....and when you do play real music...you want to try to put a noisy mix to it....very disappointed. ..used to be a great bar. ..On a positive note...I do like the remodel

New DJ does not know how to read the floor and doesn’t play good songs to fit the crowd. I thought this was Midnight RODEO for a reason…for more country songs and two-stepping/line dancing…not club music. Lost a regular tonight.

I enjoy coming to dance. The people are nice and the bartender I go to is very pleasant. The music is the only thing that isnt always the best.

Last time I was there was probably 30 years ago. I even two stepped again and remembered how to do it. Nothing fancy but a good old country bar.

Went here for the Morgan Wallen concert, bought 1 Budweiser bottle and got charged $25. The place ripped me off then did nothing when I went back up to the bar for an explanation.

I prefer Midnight Rodeo over the downtown clubs. It has a better environment and more dancing options. Plus ladies night on Thursday with cheap drink specials.

Dont attend a concert here unless you like to stand for several hours waiting for concert to start in overcrowded conditions. Was over an hour past start time before it actually started. Then when opening act finishes, waiting even longet for main act. Continued to sell tickets at the door when it was already too croweded and not really enjoyable because you couldnt see.

Just a booty call, and the head of security/ bouncer Gary Sanderson is an Ill bred uneducated person who is rude, with no social skills and personality. He likes to beat people up.

Absolute terrible club. Security needs drastic improvement, I was dd for a friend and got kicked out because they thought I was drunk since I bumped into someone. Need to get their head out of their ass.

Can always find something to dance to, it may take some time, but eventually U get a chance to strut your stuff.

I went yesterday for the line dancing class and that was great; however when I went to the bar I got one cocktail and one water bottle. The bartender said he would charge me for happy hour price drinks (around $4) so the total was around $10 or less. Today I saw my bank statement and he charged me $25 when I didn’t want to open a tab and never asked him to do it. I didn’t get any other drink under my name and didn’t leave him a tip. Ive tried calling the phone number but nobody has answered. I was also completely sober this whole time. My friend also heard the bartender say he was going to charge me for happy hour priced drinks. I’d like to talk with someone to fix this problem.
