Royal Foot Massage and Reflexology was an absolute delight! After skiing for the past week here in Steamboat my friend and I were in dire need of some foot care. And this locally owned business was the perfect spot! The couple working were both super friendly and held passion and pride for their work and their shop. The interior was very relaxing and the massage was wonderful. Ready to keep charging the slopes tomorrow thanks to Royal Foot Massage and Reflexology!
Spot on reflexology. Made a great difference. Courteous and accommodating. Hard to communicate with not speaking English but very nice. Worth every penny. Would recommend
Very clean, professional, and amazing foot massage technique! Will absolutely visit again
So the first time I went here they demanded I leave a better tip. Even though it annoyed me, I did so and thought I would give them another chance. Today I called and made an appointment for 2 30min massages at 3:30. He confirmed on the phone it was 3:30. So we left the skit bill a bit early to get there on time. On arrival he was just bringing two woman back and then uses his translator to let me know, they are busy now and ask if we can come back later. So don’t expect an appointment to mean anything.. unsatisfied and do not recommend and won’t be back.
I had a fantastic full body massage. Just what I needed after a few days of skiing. Ill be back for sure!
I used to love going to this place. Not anymore! Only 2 people working and neither one can communicate with the general public. Lots of finger pointing and head shaking. Forget about calling in. I’m not even sure why they answer the phone when they can’t speak or understand English. I tried to make an appt over the phone for 4pm, when I got there I was told to come back at 4:30. She had to point to the clock to tell me when to come back. Nothing serine or peaceful about the environment any more. No dimmed lights or background music. While I was getting my massage a second customer came in and proceeded to have a lengthy conversation with a relative on speaker phone, while getting their massage. There was also lots of moaning & groaning going on. I wasn’t really sure what was happening behind the curtain. Neither massage therapist said or did anything about the distraction. The therapist who did my massage had just come in from smoking a cigarette, maybe that’s why I had to wait a half hour, and reeked of cigarette smoke. YUK!! I give them 1 star because they did give me a bottle of water at the end. Sad that this place has gone so far downhill.
It was ok, but definitely not worth $60 plus tip. The therapist was sweet but her hands were ice cold and she wasn’t able to apply adequate pressure even when asked to increase it. It also was noisy while I was having the massage. They do have music playing but very softly and I could hear people on the phone talking etc. I had used this establishment a few years ago and I had a better experience then.
My husband and I have been here many times before.Sadly tonight was not a good experience. We received 55 minutes of what was supposed to be a 60 minute foot reflexology massage.Upon check out I paid with a credit card and gave 20 dollars cash for a tip. The girl kept pointing at the sign about the tip. She did not speak English so she just kept pointing at the sign. She then got her calculator and showed me that the tip should be $24!!!A tip is for good service which we did not get.In retrospect I wish that I would have picked up my $20 and walked out.So sad about feeling this way. In the past we have had good service.I doubt we will ever go back.
Not a professional place … We made a massage app for 4pm then the guy kept saying 4:30… he was not able to communicate too well and he kept saying 4:30 we said no we will be back then he is like oh no come in! Then I got 50min massage not 1hour. they said a different price on the phone than when we arrived then they kept pointing to the paper saying 20% tip forcing you to do so NOT COOL WHEN was not a 20% worth so at the end you HAVE TO pay $120 for an ok massage NOT SURE he is even a real therapist:/ …old town hotsprings has real therapist so go there!
Had gift certificate for foot massage. Therapist was okay, not bad, but not great. While its nice to get some head, neck, hand massage I felt feet did not get enough time,I would have enjoyed more massage on feet since it was supposed to be foot massage after all. However the place next door is under major renovation so all massage time hear loud construction noise, driling, hammer banging etc. It was so opposite from relaxing. Didnt enjoy the experience and left with a headache from loud noise. Its not owners fault but perhaps they can warn you,I would have came back later.
An absolute rip off! The massage was mediocre at best...Ive had better getting a pedicure. When we paid, we left a cash tip for 18% and the old man threw a fit because he wanted 20%! Since when is a tip obligatory? We should have left nothing and we will NOt be back!
Stay away. My boyfriend and I decided very reluctantly to get massages here, bad idea. My therapist was so deep I couldnt breath they dont speak English so he didnt understand what I was trying to say. He very aggressively rolled over my spine several times I left in pain and woke up with bruises. As a therapist myself I can say he is probably not licensed or trained. My boyfriend had the lady who was much more gentle but sat on his head and massaged his back... Seriously the worst and to top it off it was 200$ for 40 minutes.
Great massage, and so easy. I was feeling stressed and made a last-minute appointment. The staff was very accommodating, kind, and professional.
I had a 30 minute foot rub from an older Asian woman. I would not go back or recommend this place to anyone. She was very nice but wore gloves that felt like Saran Wrap and had a VERY odd technique. I feel bad saying it; but honestly this was the worst massage Ive ever had. The place itself is nice; not a five star resort kind of nice but youre far from five star prices. Maybe the other employees are better. Also the towel she used to try my legs was wet as if it was used previously with another customer.
See all the reviews below— 100% true, the staff demand you give them at least a 20% tip when paying at the end. We were leaving a 17% tip, and the man kept pointing to the sign which said “18-20% tip is appreciated”, and he made it very uncomfortable for us. Since when is a tip 20% obligatory!? You can’t treat customers this way.
Great massage, a little over priced. I did think it was rather rude of the guy to ask for gratuity/tip
Wonderful massage therapist, I really enjoyed her knowledge of the chinese meridians and pressure points. The massage helped me to feel both energized and relaxed. Everyone there was very kind and helpful and I got in for an appointment right away. Thank you!
IT WAS TERRIBLE!!! It was supposed to be 60 minutes but turned out to be 45. The man was distracted and did a terrible job - missing major parts. I will be hard pressed to go back. Big disappointment. Your canned response to all the poor reviews it telling that you dont care.
They claim to do full body massages but the just have you sit in a recliner, not lie on a massage table. My therapist was nice, just not what I was wanting as far as massages go.
This place is a rip off! Not only was the massage mediocre but the old man threw a fit when the tip we left (in cash) was only 18% instead of 20%! Like a 20% tip is obligatory! I could not believe it! I will NOT be going back!
Amazing full body deep tissue massage! And the owners are so friendly! Definitely you should treat yourself!
Not as good as other places I have been to, rather disappointed. Got a full body massage but didnt even touch my feet... what is the name of the business?
Very good full body massage, I will come back again, highly recommended
From what I can tell there are fantastic Asian women who can give you massages and great advice.
Relaxing atmosphere and good massage therapists. Not tailored to injuries but for the price its an excellent place to find some relief, particularly if you stand a lot.
It really wonderful!Good music and environment.I have a good massage experience. And great relax.Thank all.
I paid for foot massage and reflexology. The guy knows nothing about massage or reflexology. Dont waste your money like I did.
Very basic place. Little areas for massages. Created by putting mats and screens... massage was ok, but wierd vibes.
Awesome place! Great massage! People are super friendly and nice!
I love the walk in aspect of this business. Good massages, friendly staff, affordable prices.
Facilities* Floors were quite dirty, crumbs and dust everywhere which had me concerned about the cleanliness of the rest of the place* Leftover food items scattered around: takeout containers, half-filled coffee cups, wrappers* Weird air mattress in the corner* Very ragged, used towelsService* My masseuse smelled like he just came from eating a huge meal and smoking a pack of cigs* He was also sick and sniffling and coughing during the whole massage* Did not expect to have greasy oil wiped all over my face and the outside of my clothes* Massage was pretty lame, he kind of just kept doing the same thing over and over again
Best full body massage I have ever had. Come to Steamboat 5 times a year and never miss this massage.
Clean. Therapists apply good pressure, but maybe on the firm side. Good prices for ski town
This place is open everyday from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm, the best foot massage in town.
Wouldn’t go back, very cold venue to have a massage spent the whole time shivering despite asking for more blankets.
Priced high for the service ie but probably correct for the market. I left satisfied
Had a male masseuse who injured my neck and did more of rubbing then massaging
Incredibly pleasant staff and wonderful service. A real gem in Steamboat!
Great deep tissue massage, really worked out that ski will soreness
Massage is little overpriced but was worth it.
The precision of their shiatsu work is awesome !
For $60 it doesnt get any better
Dont do it.
It good for muscle relax
Wonderful!!
The boss is very nice,
