Came on r&b Sunday night the dj knew EXACTLY what to do! My bartender Brooke was super nice and professional. Would love to see more diversity (black bartenders) being that majority of the crowd is black but only one black girl is behind the bar which is oddly strange. Overall coming from OT we had a great time!

Great environment (when live band is there) but $20 entry at 8pm is CRAZY!!! And to not have a credit card machine, or tap pay in 2024 is strange. Only cash or cashapp…

The cigar selection could use some work but overall the establishment is very nice and well run. The staff are very friendly and attentive. When I was there they had a vendor on the patio selling catered food. The food was great. You will likely need to purchase a section to lounge. There was no available seating when I went there with my friends.

Service is ‘meh - hookah waiter kept forgetting our order and staying on her phone. Supervisor had some attitude because we kept asking for the hookah order. Bar tenders were nice and atmosphere was OK. All that said, I will be returning as there are not a lot of black people spots in downtown Tampa.

$20 entry on Friday. Attendance was very light, about 11:30pm. There was a vocalist, sax player and keyboard player on stage= had a nice sound.The bartenders friend kept begging to buy her shots/drinks which was super annoying.

Didnt eat and dont know if they serve food ... bar tender was very attentive.. even though they were fairly crowded... dj was really good... came from out of town and was dressed down but the security let us in ... $20 to get in.. 1 house flavor of hookah... hookah was 70

Went for 90s night and had the best time! Grown and sexy vibes, amazing DJ, staff was incredible, drinks were on point. Please do a 90s night once a month and Ill be there every time! 5 🌟 experience!

We had high hopes for this spot considering the website but they were disappointing. We didnt even get to go in because on the website they advertise live music on Friday and Saturday nights from 8pm to 11pm. We arrived at 9pm to find the location closed. The bouncer had no idea what we were even talking about when we asked about entering and had to go check inside. When he came back he said yeah they arent doing it tonight. This came as a shock considering it didnt say anything about select nights or not on June 15th so that was a waste of our time. Please update your website.

Came early so I could sit at a table. The DJ was on point , atmosphere very nice but bar staff was not great as I stood at the bar waiting for someone to take my drink orders watching them just stand around talking to each other. At Around midnight we were ask to get up from our table because someone has paid for it. I explained this seating was open to general admission. She shrugged and again ask us to get up. We left. I will definitely come back and see if my experience is different.

Talented live music earlier in the evening is a regular thing, but show up before 9pm if you want a seat and dont want to pay for a VIP spot. Cigar selection is decent, though small and pricey. Staff was very friendly.

My daughter was literally choked by a bouncer having some sort of drug rage. The guy was fired supposedly but this is not a safe place. A 5 foot 19 year 9ld is not safe against their aggressive staff. Owner feel free to respond, Id like the bouncers name.

They charged $20 a head and they did NOT say it was standing ONLY because the VIP was all reserved and then on top of that they charged for the high top tables that only sat 2 people. They were rude and unprofessional and had the NERVE to have a dress code. Worse place I went to for my birthday weekend trip🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️

The spot promoted a reggaeton night and it was celebreating this random dudes birthday and afro music. I dont mind afro music but I came because the promo said it was reggeaton!!! Super disappointed.

The food was good as always. Third time here. And it never misses, especially late Saturday they usually have a DJ. Ask for Jodee she’ll take care of you.

I went last weekend and was shocked to discover all chairs have been removed from the bar and was told by bartender we will now have to buy tables or a section to seat and to even do hookah. I loved this spot and now will not be back because I refuse to stand all night or pay $250 just to seat and enjoy the place! This is a cigar and martini lounge so there should be seats for FREE!

Did eat food there they drinks were strong. The Dj was so good! They dont have enough seating though!

Went to an event last and the people at the door were so rude and nasty and then to spend $500 on a table and be charged $60 for two shots of DUSSÉ is insane no air circulating in and no ventilation whatsoever inside the venue people were shoulder to shoulder and it just wasn’t a good time I’ll never go back for sure

We went on Thursday and it was a bunch of literal kids many of which were underage and drinking . Some kid saying he runs the night tried to sell my girl “molly” . What a joke . Reported the place .

Went on a Friday night had reserved a high top table was upgraded to a section , that was pretty much the best part. Music 3/10.. No offense but felt like i was partying with my mom whos in her 50-60s .. & they played a lot of caribbean & afro music I wish they played more up to date rap music.. Service was good .. they don’t serve food but allowed me to door dash that was a win for me. Not really sure if i’ll be back , but its Tampa i guess you can’t expect too much when it comes to hip hop culture & still wanting upscale class like Miami.

Patted down like a criminal to boot. Like this was a club in the hood when the location is suppose to be upscale downtown. Website said doors and pricing was one thing, but found out couples pay an up charge from $20 a couple to $50 a couple for disco music after 11:00pm. No live music. Makes no sense to me. Six nonchalant girls at the front door and not one was warm and inviting. Couldnt find seating except 4 empty VIP sections booked up. Only 25 people in the whole damn place with 15 servers lounging and trying to look busy. Made no sense to charge extra for a no name DJ as our entertainment. This DJ talked through every song. Got heckled over and over for constantly stopping the music. Never seen a DJ heckled. Crazy. The DJ stopped the music to explain why he kept stopping the music. WTH. Had to plead with one of the mangers to get us chairs. They had the space, but kept removing these uncomfortable metal chairs. Why? Asked us to get out the chairs after we got the chairs. Cant make this up people. Again, their business to patron policy makes no sense. Ill pay real good money for a good relaxing environment and good entertainment where I feel respected and my presence is appreciated. If my experience is the opposite anything over $5 is too much. Overpriced cover charge overpriced drinks. Overpriced dried out cigars. No control temp on cigars. Not a true cigar bar despite the name. Sometime service by the bartenders. Standard recipe for a failed club in Tampa. In my 30 years in this town LIT will soon be added to the list of clubs that went away. Either soon or later they will be gone. Change your service or get canceled. Gave this 2 stars instead of 1, because it use to be nicer. It’s a sympathy star.

Stopped here for the first time to check out the band and smoke cigars. Atmosphere was nice. Arrived around 8pm when they first opened. Stayed for 3 hours and thats when the crowd started to arrive. I would go again.

Very fun ... Good hip hop music... Mixed crowd... Good drinks and fair prices... They have a lot of in door seating and outside seating. We came for a girls night out.

I went to this place last Saturday, and I love the vibe of the place. I know the website says it is $10 to get in, but last Saturday, this band, I believe, his name is Shaun Brown, I believe that was his name, was there, and it was $25. Im from NY, so that is normal for me, but my cousin, who is from here, was not a happy camper. I personally loved the atmosphere of the lounge. First place that I have been to that reminds me of home. I love the dress code. The atmosphere and the drinks were delicious. I need to learn the schedule for the happy hour. I will be coming back. I had a lovely time.

My husband and I decided to check out Lit last Friday for the first time. We got there right after 8 when they opened after trying to find parking which is not easy. We settled for the garage across the street but for next time well use the valet from the business next door. Because we were there before 11:00 we were able to sit anywhere. First tip: bring cash at least $10 in case youre charged an entry fee. Even though on the website it says Ladies may be free before 11 its not set. And, the lady at the door says the price vary each night. I dont think youre able to pay via credit card at the door.The band playing was pretty good and the saxophonists were interactive with the audience. They go into the crowd and play for the ladies - a really nice touch. The drinks were tasty and you could taste the liquor. Happy Hour prices were reasonable less than some other establishments. Cigar smoke is prevalent IF youre in the area where folks are directly smoking. After the band my hubby and I moved to the patio more to get away from the cigar smoke. But, it also was a good spot for us because we had a table that wasnt reserved, and with the fresh air outside, still great bar service (our waitress followed us to keep the drinks flowing), we still could participate in the vibe and heard the music perfectly.We plan to visit for the culture nights. Overall, I highly recommend and for us the age group and vibe were perfect. We left around 12:30. Everyone was friendly from the security (the most polite Ive seen not only Tampa but as Ive travelled). They treated people with respect. There was an incident with a member of our party (we saw 2 friends while outside on the patio and they came in). Apparently, there was an issue re:hookah with one of the ladies and the security came and talked to us respectfully as they advised she had to leave due to whatever happened inside. They gave her time to talk to us and we understood. This is a really classy well dressed patrons. Just dont complain about the smoke - go outside if its too much and enjoy the vibe.

First time there. Celebrated my birthday with my family. The bartender was great. The band was exceptional. I totally enjoyed my whole experience there. Thank you Triple OG for showing me a great time. We will be back.

They have live music until 10 then theres a DJ. The atmosphere is great! We were able to do hookah at a reasonable rate. The drinks were great and consistent. Were definitely going back. This place is indeed LIT!!!

Nice atmosphere! Will return :). The heel policy for women is not enforced for all women which is unfortunate because nowadays there are some very cute flats to be worn. I personally have a few pair of designers that I wear because I like to be cute & comfortable. There were girls in there with skater distressed jeans & heels. Heels alone dont make your outfit upscale. Hopefully the owners will reconsider. I did enjoy myself but sat for a large portion of the night :(.

We randomly ended up here around 9:30 pm. It was pretty dead, but it was early. All the tables inside and outside were reserved, except one by then. So we took the only open table, which was outside in the corner. The music was really good, the drinks were good too! The bartenders were friendly and staff got us more chairs, which we really appreciated!! I have a broken back so seating important. I think the tables were going for 400 bucks. They didnt make us give up our table all night. The bathrooms were clean! The place was absolutely packed by 11:30. Everyone was having a great time, no fights. The only negative is it got really difficult to get drinks later on with so many people. But its expected being so crowded. I had a great night!

Truly disappointed, we visited on the 4th Thursday of the month to experience jazz night however it was sports night. No music at all.. if youre looking for a sports bar this is perfect but as far as the Lit experience offered not at all..

Not enough seating and someone that works there said VIP was $700 if we wanted to sit down. Thats absolutely ridiculous. I did enjoy myself, but that $700 VIP blew my mind.

I loved the vibe. The DJ was LIT the entire time I was there. The bartenders and other workers men and female looked good. I only had a few glasses of Crown neat, but everyone at my patio table loved their mixed drinks. Dress code is not strictly enforced which was a bummer. I like to see nicely dressed people. I will return at some point.

I was visiting for a night and stopped into this club because, why not. It was not really what I expected. The drink prices are aligned with most places, although where I live, they are a lot cheaper for the same thing ($6 vs $14 for a shot of vodka). The atmosphere was smokey because of the hookah and cigars. That wasnt an issue and I expected to smell like an ashtray when I left. The cover was $20 even though there was nothing special going on other than it being the first Friday of the year. It was your average club. Also, because I didnt have a handbag with me, I was not scanned/waned or anything by security. I thought that was concerning. I even reentered after going to my car. That is definitely not a smart procedure. If I am in the area again, I would not return to this particular establishment. Not for any negative reason, but Im sure Tampa has more to offer. Everyone should visit at least once though.* UPDATE (clarification) *Im reviewing, not complaining.This establishment did not search or scan my person with a metal detector. I specifically asked one of the two security guards did he need to check me and he said, (not verbatim) you dont have a bag, youre fine. One guard asked for my ID, but I also showed it to the young lady at the door. So my ID was scanned whoop de doo. That doesnt protect anyone. I didnt feel safe because of the fact that I wasnt checked for weapons so I could only assume no one else was either. That should be concerning for anyone. I left a review of this establishment based on MY experience. Im not reviewing to prove a point, lower ratings, bicker virtually, or downplay/attack anyone or anything. However, what Im stating is what I experienced so its my factual account. I would not go back, but I would recommend it to someone in their 20s.

KP and her team went above and beyond to accommodate me after missing my flight to celebrate with a friend. Communication was prompt and friendly assisting me with purchasing a table and coordinating a very special surprise. They really made my weekend and I will definitely be visiting during my next trip.

The service is always bad. The cocktail waitresses are rude to female customers. Always a bad experience. We spent at least $1000 last night-had at least 10 ppl in our group and the waitress brought only my sister and I a bill when the gentleman with us were paying for all the rounds. He ordered my drink, he told her the 1st time she brought me a bill that she doesnt have a tab, thats on me. She still brought me a bill for the one drink I ordered. When females do that its shade! I complained, The manager did nothing. I paid the bill and will never spend another dime in there. Its always something like this when we go there. People get dressed, go out, spend good money to have a good time, not get hassled...

I went on an R&B night called Genuwine and it was all you can drink Wine...the vibes were amazing...I definitely want to return.

I barely write reviews, but I attended Lit last Saturday, and usually bartenders be like robots, but my bartender Cass was everything. Her spirit really was a vibe. I was there for a birthday and was feeling blah but she really brung the vibes to our table and she was patient. Definitely will request her next time. We will be back.

This was our last stop for the night. We only had a Voss water, Casamigo and Padron cigar. Service was great from the restroom to the bar. But most importantly security was super attentive.

Pro: Classy atmosphere with enforced dress code. Other than that, not crazy about it. Hookahs are overpriced and low quality. They barely stay lit and you can barely taste the flavor. Customer service is terrible especially by the bartenders towards the customers who are women. Somewhat comfortable if you get a section. Otherwise forget about it.

Very nice chill vibe. Very grown and sexy. Not too crowded, I enjoyed the live band. The only thing that I can critique is that there werent many options for libations outside of vodka, and a bottle of makers mark. I wouldve loved some Hennessey or Crown Royal.. other than that everything was nice.

Lit is a bar and lounge that I have been to multiple times and enjoyed. The music is great, the vibes are there and drinks are strong. That is the 2 stars that they get. Now my issue isn’t with the place itself but the customer service.For my birthday I thought Lit was the perfect place to celebrate by getting a table with 8 of my good friends. Everything was great and the night went smoothly. The problem lies when I checked my receipt later in the week and realized the deposit was never subtracted from the bill. I tried calling however they don’t answer the phones. Ever. So I went to Instagram which I will admit was very fast communication. I confirmed that the deposit does indeed go towards the final bill and with that told them they did not do that. I received no apology just someone on the other end telling me they will speak to the boss. Then silence. For a week I had to keep asking for updates until FINALLY they decide to send the refund via cashapp(which I had to request).So in conclusion, Lit is a place is fine to have a good time but if you were thinking about getting a table I would think twice or make sure you check you final bill if you’re sober enough to do that.

Lit Tampa is the hottest spot in Tampa. We went for the very first time for their soft opening Super Bowl weekend and it was the best time! The music was perfect the crowd was hype and the bottle service is extremely welcoming and they really know how to make you feel like your VIP. I only party here! For any special event or a fun night out go to Lit you will not regret it!

This establishment was more of a hookah lounge for the young crowd oppose to a cigar lounge. Definitely NOT for 30+. I wasn’t impressed. They enforce the ladies to wear heels and dress to impress, but allow the men to look regular. Not one clean cut man in the building. It’s for the kids.. not grown n sexy.

I am from Atlanta and I’ve been in Tampa for 6 months and have been highly disappointed with the nightlife here. When my boyfriend and I decided to go to Lit. Hands down the best lounge in Tampa. Good vibes! Great hookah! Music amazing!! The entire place is a vibe!!! The bartender Bianca is the best!! Although everyone was sweet and i literally won’t go anywhere else now. Everytime I’ve gone i have been satisfied!!

No other place In Tampa with this vibe. Dress code enforced but not discriminatory, bartenders are literally the best I’ve seen in the city ! Beautiful and super friendly and about their money! Hookah girls and bottle girls spot on. The venue is dope, music on point. The owner KP is such a boss and genuine energy ! Not to mention a woman of God. The city needed this spot for sure !

Every since I been to Lit, it’s has been nothing but amazing. The vibes, scenery, and definitely the drinks don’t disappoint at all. You are guaranteed to leave out messed up. AP is definitely the best bartender EVER. The owners are amazing as well,shout out to KP if you haven’t been yet I definitely suggest that you go. This is a experience you don’t want to miss out on!!

Went to this club a few Saturdays ago. Would never go again. I was told I could not go in with sneakers on. I talked to them for a sec as others went in with sneakers. They told me it was dress code for women and they would not let me in. As I moved to the side they let a girl in with the same shoes on as me. I went to the front and asked why she was let in and was told she’s a friend of the owner. What a great owner huh. Dress code only enforced for certain people!

This is very nice spot. The band for that night was ok, but that trombone player was a beast.Hookah kinda expensive, bar tenders was ok at the center bar but that side bar they were more upbeat and exciting. The center bar you can only sit there doing the show after that they remove the seating by the stage. Ladies... ladies the guys were fine..fine if you looking to mingle. Drinks were worth every penny and security in was enforced. Security was even fine..fine .ijs if you looking to mingle..lol .I would recommend coming early and leave late. Also would recommend getting a reserved table and ask can you stay seated after the show. It was a mixed crowd, age, very diverse. I hope you enjoy the place as much as I did.

LIT is soooo dope. Always a good vibe. ESPECIALLY when we have Cass as our bottle girl. She really makes sure we had a great time on a Friday night. We plan on coming back on a Thursday and I hope she’ll be there because she’ll guarantee us a great time.

I have frequented this establishment many times and I always have the time of my life! from the music, to the service all the way to management CHEFS KISS! Friday was my first time in Tampa. I live about 3 hours east but Saturday night at Lit was the best time I’ve had in a long time. Definitely a sheek venue with great vibes and amazing ownership/employees. Whether youre in a section or grabbing a drink at the bar everyone takes the time out to make sure youre taken care of. I enjoy the ability to have somewhere I feel like family at downtown where I can get dressed up in cute outfits and grab a drink, cigar or hookah with my girls :)

Way overpriced drinks and lack luster service. Drinks were watered down and im sure they are recapping their liquor. Literally Nasty attitudes from EVERYONE who worked here except Tania. Prices from drinks were different everytime we went to the bar and I found out a girl at the bar was charging my friend 24 per drink and they werent doubles. That was literally twice the price. Disgusting to steal from your patrons like that. 👍🏽 I get its a club .... but being illegitimate is just that. Im not expecting a Publix shopping experience but man.. when I confronted her she gave us our last drink free and tried to lie and say that she thought ordered doubles. Drinks were literally like water to add insult to injury. Im still not happy with that. She needs to be terminated. Hey bought 5 drinks in the smallest cups filled with ice for $125. And he still tipped. Unacceptable.

On a Saturday night out I went to Lit as I did the previous weekend with sneakers on. This weekend I was told I could not enter because I had sneakers on and that the dress code was strictly enforced as there was many other minority females there wanting to enter. As I was standing there talking to friends we noticed Caucasian females exiting the establishment with sneakers on. As we proceeded to stand there there was another Caucasian female with sneakers on enter the establishment. After I was previously told that the dress code is strictly enforced they now allow a Caucasian female enter as the minorities stand outside because we were not allowed to enter! If dress code is to be strictly enforced then it should be across the board and not just for certain individuals.

The service was OK. They were not as attentive as I thought that they could be.

Great live music on Fridays. Just wish the cigar smoke was ventilated better. Was on the patio with open windows. But nice adult atmosphere!

This place discriminates against women and those with disabilities. I was told dress sandals were allowed but when I got there security wouldnt let me in stating that because I was a woman I HAD to be wearing heels. The employee did not state a time when the dress code began. Not only is it sexist to force women to wear heels, it is ableist as many people with disabilities are unable to wear heels. Anyone who supports womans rights or those with disabilities should steer clear of this place. This place isnt worth half a penny.

Service was underwhelming, bartenders were extremely RUDE and environment was DIRTY even though the prices were high.

Vibe is great. Music great. Section set up is cool. Get there early or you will be standing. Very limited seats if not in a section. Drinks HIGH. Hookah VERY HIGH.

The service was extremely unprofessional. I came here with my boyfriend and his teammates on the Toronto Raptors while they are playing in Tampa. The woman at the door Elise was very rude to us. I would not recommend coming here. There was little to no people In here and most of the people were 40+.

Terrible establishment. They said I couldn’t enter due to me wearing shorts but allowed 3 white guys who looked as if they came off a fishing trip inside all wearing shorts. Also denied a woman entry because she didn’t have on heels.

Its a nice spot, went on a Saturday night and was having a great time until some 420 friendly people started smoking...the smoke and smell was so thick my eyes and throat were burning, couldnt really enjoy myself after that, had to leave.
