My friends and I will never be returning. An extremely drunk employee stated that I was a racist when I was just standing in line with my friends, I was not even talking. He almost did not let me in and he kept yelling at me to “fuck off”. Once I was in the club for about an hour and a half, a bouncer came up to me and asked me to step outside. Once I did the drunk employee(who was still heavily intoxicated) said that I needed to talk to another black employee. As we were all standing there he claimed that I said “look at that little black motherfucker”. I have no idea where he heard this but I said nothing of the sort. He told me I needed to apologize to the man and I did. He said I could go back in but at this point I had such a bad taste in my mouth I and all my friends left. This is beyond unprofessional and I will be telling every single person I talk to that they should not go here. All of the reviews for here are bad and it’s pretty clear why.Might I also add that this place is letting mass amounts of underage individuals in to drink alcohol. Someone I know slipped the bouncer a five dollar bill and a fake id and was able to get in as 21. This is happening on an extreme scale so at any moment this place could be shutdown.

Nice music selection and dance floor. Gets pretty busy so there’s a slight wait at the door. Bartender was super friendly and courteous. Had to pay a $10 parking fee and $15 cover. Drinks are reasonably priced

The worse place to go out and have fun, we paid to have a VIP placement but instead we have to deal with marijuana smoker next to us, and no only that the person who light it up the marijuana was the security on the entrance of VIP area. I spoke with the manager and he claimed he cannot do anything about it. All this happened in a period of 1:30 hour there. Stay away.

Probably want to call ahead.On the website the dress code is reasonable - no baggy pants, bandanas, etc., probably to keep out gang members and the like. So when we showed up, we were denied entry for wearing shorts. Khaki shorts. They told us maybe if we were wearing nicer shorts (khakis?!), and that the shorts rule was just for tonight. No notice on the website, we were just kicked out. So disappointing.So apparently the dress code changes nightly. Management should let the guests be aware of this, and take off the generic dress code from the site.

Terrible 80s party. Didn’t promote. Spent 40 dollars on “VIP” tickets and when we got there bouncer wouldn’t let us in the VIP section and was extremely rude. Since we were 3 of the 10 people that were there I didn’t take kindly of that since we paid his nightly salary……Not that it mattered because the VIP section was a room behind a curtain that had nothing to offer. Lil Yachty as far as I know isn’t 80s music .

The staff was so unnecessarily rude when getting in. We are 19 and had zip ties put on, and as we jokingly commented on it, the lady said very rudely “that’s what happens when you are underage and go to the club.” First of all, we are not underage. We are 19. Second of all, she was rude for absolutely no reason. Then, we were asked to walk in a straight line because we were laughing. The staff is so unprofessional and I will never be coming back. They need to learn how to deal with college students. Sorry we want to have fun. If you can’t, don’t work at a club that is 18+. I will never be spending my money here again.

I had come here once before and thought the place was OK, though the bars on South Howard are much better and up to date comparatively. The second time going to the Kennedy the bouncer attending the door was very aggressive towards one of the patrons waiting to go inside. He was a pale redheaded bouncer and actually stepped away from checking IDs to punch this patron in the face (who didnt seem to do anything wrong). My group and I immediately left to go to South Howard instead. I would not consider going back to this bar as punching someone in the face seems to be their way of customer service.

No LGBTQ friendly and for young crowds. No bars stools or siting areas inside the bar. Excellent customer service from the bartender Ashely. I heard that she not longer working there? Why? Was really good entertainment.

The guy that checked our ids was nice but then the cashier woman with the lip piercing was super rude. The bouncer zip tied my friends arm too tight then got mad that she asked for another. Just on these two being rude I dont want to come back.

I love the atmosphere and the music was great. The only thing i didnt really like was the bartenders and some girls in there were dressed in lingerie and had thongs on and thats not classy but other then that I had fun. They need a stricker dress code for women.

NASTY smell inside And HORRIBLE staff...Friend had a bit of a medical emergency, nothing major but we needed an alcohol wipe to clean it to prevent infection. We asked for a first aid kit and then was told they didnt have even that. Upon being asked why they wouldnt have basic first aid, employee started cussing, yelling, and saying she didnt like my attitude. She then had my wristband cut and tried to throw me out. I asked for a manager and he was NO HELP. He justified her actions and told us we should be aware of what she is dealing with. As a paying customer I, think that should be the other way around.WONT be coming here again

If I could give zero stars I would. If you’re with a group of black people your chances of getting in are little to none. My friends and I stayed at the FRONT of the line for over 40 minutes, watching people in the behind us being let in. We waited to the point they stopped letting people in. When I sidelined one of the guys at the door and asked him if we were being racially profiled he said that we were unfortunately and that this was a usual thing, they (the people at the door) just implement the rules the managers give them. I never thought that in 2018 this would be something that we would experience.

This is one of the worst bars in tampa, the bouncers are by far the worst part, they try to get with underage girls in an aggressive way, very vulgar and explicit towards guests, very aggressive towards men and women, will go out of their way and leave their station to fight anyone. Will harass you when you are even not on their property. Do not recommend, no control.

Line was around the corner, price went from $10 to $40 at standard entry and from $40 to $80 @ VIP entry which was still at least an hour wait. After waiting 2 hours in standard, I as well as several other people decided to leave after seeing another 30 mins or so in line

My husband and are married with two kids and love coming here for Latin night, however get there early if you like to salsa dance, because after around 12am it’s so crowded you can’t enjoy the dance floor

Worst club Ive ever been too, theyll do whatever it takes to get you in and will let anyone in. Convinced me to get a table and said the night would be a great experience. It was awful, all guys very few girls and there was a homeless man inside asking people for money!!! I cant make this up!!

Love the Kennedy! VIP staff is amazing and treats you like a super star!! High end experience And definetly the best nightclub in Tampa. Best Djs and beautiful people everywhere. If you want to have a good time come to the Kennedy

Bouncers are extremely confrontational and disrespectful. I was holding my girlfriends wallet and one of the bouncers came up to me thinking it was a wallet stole. After cooperating and letting them search me, a couple of other bouncers came up to me and started shouting in my face insisting that the wallet was stolen. After my girlfriend came up and confirmed it was her wallet, they still continued to shout at me. This place will never see me again!

Valet guy stole $500 cash from my Mercedes my gun, the place only has ghetto trash people there, from the patrons to the staff, I didnt stick around long. Go to Hyde Park Cafe much better

I normally enjoy this club.... but girl cashier working at the Vip entrance last night had a real bad attitude. Never experience that kind of treatment at any other club.

Always a great time at The Kennedy!! The owners are fun and the security is all about safety and customer service!! Bar staff are fast and reliable and never without a smile

Its has evolved into something a lot less classy than I remember. Maybe Im just too old to be there anymore. The clientele sure made me feel that way. Think my days at the Kennedy are over.

I feel this is the greatest place to party in the city of Tampa! From the music, to the promotions, and just the overall greatest hospitality and atmosphere. I would definitely suggest The Kennedy to any and everyone!

Every time I go to the Kennedy in soho its literally one of the best times of my week. If Im too drunk to drive home, Blair Johnson will call me an uber or have someone drive me. The Kennedy team really cares for your safety. Ill deff be coming back.

Fun naughty atmosphere. Lots of big booty ladies. Will go everytime we are here in Tampa. The hookah lady is awesome and very sweet.

The club is full of nothing but drug dealers and thiefs, vallet does nothing but steal ,the valet manager actually cut his employee across the face with a knife after calling him a monkey because hes racist and the employee is black. multiple whitnesses but nothing was done about it. The club doesnt even investigate any accusations as soon as fingers are pointed the club is quick to sick their paid off cops on you wich is a whole another story . The club kennedy in Tampa Fl. Is dangerous if you go youll end up getting robd or something worse . Do not vallet self park and have a good amount of money cause youl be taxed by acouple bouncers before you go in . something needs to be done.

Club Prana in ybor city is where you should go instead:Painfully bad music (im a barbie girl...?!!). Expensive drinks and covers. So much smoke it was hard to breathe.

I went on a friday night It was okay. The club is big and clean. My only complaint is the DJ or hypeman talks to much during the songs.

I experienced hostility coming from the bouncers upon entry, and my friends were verbally harassed as they were leaving. This isn’t the first time I’ve witnessed issues with security

I turned 18 I got in and no charge free then my cousins birthday she went free too she turn 21 I had fun gets crowed drink spills on floor I went small heels next time low shoes but good Latin nights

Bad spot velvet steals. They charge you extra at the door extra 15 for wearing a hat extra 10 for wearing a tank top. Dont even check ideas.

I showed the bouncer my real 21 year old ID and he refused to let me in. When I tried to insist it was my real ID he got up in my face and tried to fight me. Absolutely ridiculous, never going back again

I came last night at midnight, i gave the security my id he saw it then gave it back to me and started giving weird looks and he told me step aside and then he asked me to leave and the bouncers tried to push and all i wanted to know what’s the reason they don’t want to let me inside and of course i didn’t get an answer, i felt very bad last night and i’m the only guy that they did this to i saw like 3 other guys they did the same thing for them, this is not acceptable.

They make you wait a long line for the show of it. Empty inside, plus you need to pay a cover. Single girls get to cut the line if they have no guys with them. Very desperate

Horrible, unsafe, people doing drugs inside, rude personal mean cashiers , mean door men, dirty place no bussers glasses and bottles everywere on the floor more more and more
