I had the best bottle girl , her name is JudeaShe was so sweet . Amazing customer service I am talking about 10 out of 10.When you go and get a table ask for Judea to be your bottle girl.
I came in last weekend and Judea was such a delight so I came back yesterday night and my waitress was niya she was so sweet and outgoing made my night complete will definitely be returning ☺️
Great place, I have been coming to get drinks with my girls the last few weeks and the service is wonderful. Jude , Paris and Nihya where so sweet and helpful hope to see them again
Great service and experience at Privilege. Crystal was an exceptional bartender for the night and did a fantastic job servicing myself and friends.
As many clubs as ive been to in DC, this one right here, hands down had the most RUDEST staff ive ever come across! It was some of the bartenders, but mainly the security and the people outside handling the lines. If im being honest here, this actually is cool spot on its own, but it has soooo much potential to be better. Unless they replace most of their staff, lower their ridiculous drink prices, and (if possible) find a bigger venue, I dont see this place lasting long at all. It just sucks when you go out to have a good night, and people ruin it for you with their unnecessary, nasty attitudes. If youre looking to have a good time in DC, id advise you to go somewhere else to save yourself the headache tbh.
First and last time! Our group spent New Year’s Eve here. Collectively we paid approximately $3500 for a section. Which was 1 loveseat and 1 table and approximately 6 bottles of varying alcohol. Our section was located on a stage with 2 other groups. There was no security or staff to monitor people who did not pay to be there. Random people will be mixed in your section. We got an arm band upon entry. I think this was for the section….Bottle girls and guys came through with oversized marquee’s and bottle holders damn near knocking you over when it’s no place to go. Not a place for people over 35.
Let me start off by saying how great the atmosphere was yesterday night my waitress judea was so kinda and took very good care of us the security was so nice at the door and took their time to tell us about the party downstairs as we were walking by trying to find somewhere to go definitely will be returning
Priyana was the best service I’ve ever had in my life!!! Customer service was exceptional, I felt so safe with her! She was a great time!
We went on a Saturday night. When you first get to the door, there is a metal detector and someone there collecting cover fees. It is heavily congested, we couldn’t even walk into the door because 2 guys were having a conversation. I pushed past them and went downstairs. Online they charge 50-100 for VIP, I have seen more expensive fees in other reviews. They have more VIP than dance floor. Literally everyone is crowded in one area unless you pay for a couch, rope and table. We were able to find RSVP tickets online and I glad we didn’t have to pay to get in there, as we were not there for very long. But the person at the door was charging $20. As out of towners there is a different ambiance to DC as a whole, but when I got into privilege I just felt like it was a competition. Everyone staring at you up and down and no one really dancing, just chiefing it up. You could smell it from the street before walking in too. Maybe a good scene for some people, but way too much going on for it to be a lounge. We tried to get a hookah, I asked the smaller bar at the front for the price, she said she thought it was $65 but I would have to go to the back bar, which was VERY crowded. For the prices they charge, the energy of the club does not meet expectations. They need to change the name from lounge, to a smoke out bottle service venue because that’s what it is. Our clothes smelled heavily of ganja when we left, and none of us smoke.
BIG New Years Eve DisappointmentWe went online and bought VIP tickets which included an open bar and buffet from 9:00pm until 11:00pm. We got there around 9:30pm and had to walk down a long narrow and steep staircase. When we made it to the actual club, the buffet that was supposed to have started 30 minutes before we got there was not even set up. They were also still putting up the New Years Eve balloons and backdrop when we arrived. There was only cheap rail liquor available at the open bar and we had to purchase any other alcohol including name brands. At 10:00pm, I asked one of the staff members when they were going to open the buffet. They informed me that it would be opening in about 10 minutes. I then asked them if they would be leaving the buffet open for an extra hour since they were 1 hour late opening it.The staffer told me that they didnt tell him anything and he didnt know if it would stay open longer, and that it would be up to management. The buffet did open at 10:10pm, and at that point there was a huge line of people who had been waiting over an hour to go to the buffet. The food on the buffet wasnt bad, but the presentation made some of the items look not appetizing. At 10:25pm, the DJ made an announcement that the open bar was now closed, which was 35 minutes earlier than what we all had paid for. I immediately went to the bar and asked the bartender why they were closing the open bar early, because we had paid for an open bar until 11:00pm. I also showed the bartender my internet receipt, as well as the wristbands that we were given at the front door that stated open bar and buffet from 9:00pm until 11:00pm, to prove that point. The bartender said that she understood my complaint, but management made that call and there wasnt anything she could do about it, and that I would have to talk to a manager. I asked to speak to the manager and waited 18 minutes, but no one ever came over to speak with me. There was no place to sit down in the entire club unless you had paid for a VIP section, which started at around $1500 for a section. This meant it was standing room only. They also did not have a coat check available. We asked several employees where was their coat check room, and they kept saying that someone would be coming to open one, but it wasnt ready yet. I think they finally opened a coat check but it was sometime after midnight. The club had a DJ but No Dance Floor at all. So, people had to dance wherever they were standing, which was even more difficult to do while holding your coat and your drinks. This was the worst New Year Eve celebration that we ever spent at a nightclub. The Privilege management team is only concerned about making money by overcharging their guests for VIP seating, bar drinks and making promises that they never plan on keeping. They should be more concerned with making great experiences for their guests and the money would come. Unless you like standing around wasting time, spending money and holding your coat and drinks all night, find yourself a better night club in DC that appreciate its customers. We will never return to Privilege night club as long as it is under that management team.
Ive never been to such a ratchet nightclub in my life, trust me, Im from South Philly. First of all, its located in a basement, and it was so hot that it felt like walking into the gates of hell! We asked our server if the AC was broken or something. She told us its normal for this time of year. Seriously? Anyway, the server was nice and attentive, but they messed up my order twice!!! I asked to speak to the manager, but I regretted it instantly. The so-called manager was really confrontational and rude. He had a thick accent, and I could barely understand what he was saying. We decided to let it go even though we were overcharged. Im never going back to this place of hell.
Loved this place and the vibe. The drinks were relatively cheap considering it is in DC. Overall the music was good and it had a nice crowd as well. Good place to have fun if you want to try something new
The venue was nice and presentable. The bottle girls/servers are very sweet and accommodating. Unfortunately, my friends and I reserved a section here and it was really small for the 6 of us and it was right by the bar which was very crowded and overwhelming. There were a lot of people standing around and packing up in the walkways because there were so many people in there. It’s expensive so maybe i’ll have to try it out another time but I wasn’t feeling it, 5 stars for my bottle girl though she was amazing. (Forgot her name)
My first night at Privilege was after a concert in D.C. and I was in awe. The venue is big and the vibe and décor was unmatched. Regarding service, we were well taken care of at the table. The servers and bottle girls are very sweet and efficient. The music is also a perfect mix of everything so its hard not to enjoy yourself. I will definitely come back as its become my new favorite club.
Initially, we had a good night until, we had to escort one of the members of our group to their car ride, right outside of the club. They were a bit too intoxicated to leave without assistance. Before escorting her out the front door of the club we notified the two security (Black hefty man, approx. 6ft, 250lbs) (Light-skinned lean Latino male, 6ft, 200lbs) men at the front door of the fact that we were just escorting her to the car and that we were returning back to the club after. Our jackets were still in our section so, we needed to get back in to retrieve them. The Black man replied, “I’m not the one you need to be telling that to” so, I reiterated the same thing to the Light-skinned man who was professionally dressed as security that night. He nodded his head agreeing to let us back in. As we were walking out of the barricades a group of (4-5) Black women workers who were also working that night mumbled that we were not getting in regardless of us informing them of our exit and our stuff being downstairs. We walked off to escort our friend and returned literally 3 minutes later with our wristbands that we were given that night still on.They were extremely rude and gave us a living hell just to receive our coats from downstairs. The club was still open for another half an hour before closing and we spent $900+ dollars that night as section holders. We were treated horribly after paying a great deal of money therefore, I will not be returning back and I’ll be sure to notify other friends/relatives not to spend money at this venue for future reference. We were standing out in the cold for about 20 mins without coats on which was unacceptable. DON’T SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE! The section was not even worth it, it was super small but, the bottle girls were amazing that night.
Went on a Saturday night wasn’t too bad the music was good outside of the female bartender serving my drinks half full but despite her shady behavior I continued to tip her, and yes everyone else had full cups. Clearly she has an imbalance of love and hate in her heart for people so it was my responsibility to show her that there are good people out there. Management- please consider interpersonal training for your bartenders, stay blessed
The employees are very rude and unprofessional. I was told the club open at 10pm via phone. I arrived there at 10:15pm. The bottles girls were out front and they rudely told me that they were not open yet and turned their back while I was asking them what time do they open. I asked them again they sucked their teeth and said “ I don’t know” with a attitude. This isn’t even the worst part I got a drink from ANGIE the bartender (btw she was awesome and her customer service was great) one of the bottle girls that was being rude before smacked my drink out my hand and kept moving. I asked to speak to the manager to report her but she didn’t even care enough to even speak to me. I feel like they need to replace most of their team including management. No one wants to deal with a whole team of messed up attitudes and unprofessionalism. Besides that ANGIE was great and she made me feel welcomed. She was very fun and inviting. Her energy was A1 and her drinks were very good and strong.
Privilege DC surprised me. The servers, bartenders, and even the hosts out front are very welcoming. I loved the ambiance here LED lights all through the club. Me and my girls had a time here. Will definitely be back. This club is by far one of the most underrated clubs with some amazing beautiful ladies! If you haven’t checked out privilege DC yet what are you what for!!!!!!!
Overall the drinks were over priced. They gave you more juice than alcohol $52 to be exact!! Then in order for you just to sit down you have to pay!!! My overall experience to DC for the nightlife was definitely not worth the 2 1/2 hours that I drove. Make sure when you do go there you at least got about $6 to $700 in your pocket in order to sit down and drink their alcohol well let me rephrase that there juice!!!
I had a great time at Privilege this Sunday. Great music, and great service by the bottle girls and hookah men. Big shoutout to Priyana for making my experience even more enjoyable and making sure my friend and I had everything we needed. I will definitely be back.
Each and every time I go it’s always the best experience ever. The bartenders are friendly and amazing. There’s one bartender named Angie that always remembers me and takes great care of me from the moment I arrive until the moment I leave. Definitely because of her she made it my favorite place to go whenever I’m in DC.
Definitely, a new destination on U st. Totally replaced the music hall and I LOVE IT!! An amazing sound system, sick running led lighting,DJs and bands are undefeated!!🔥🔥💯 My, biggest concern is the inconsistent pricing from the bartenders on ALL of the drinks.... Ive been charged double for the same drink that I got from across the room. Another time I wasnt even made aware of HH specials while the person next to me received an entire menu. I enjoy the TURN UP, but gotta dot those Is and cross the Ts! 💯
My first time here I was in a section with a couple of friends, we ran through the bottles ! I love it here ! I ended up going to the bar with my friends for some solo drinks and Angie was the bartender !! Full of energy and so nice and she made us want to stay even longer !! She’s so fun, pretty and the drinks were soooo good. I made sure I tipped her good, her service was top tier ! HighlyRecommend and please go see Angie !
I was visiting from out of town last month and decided to come here with some friends, and if I’m being honest, that’s the last time i ever go back!!When i first got there, the bartender that was handling my drink was cool, but then a different bartender came and started being rude to me after i told her I didn’t need help since someone else was already making my drink. Secondly, the hookahs are way to expensive!!! Maybe it’s just me because I don’t go to too many clubs, but I’ve never heard of a club say you have to have a tab of $150 in order to purchase a hookah. Then, what really topped it off were the bouncers, who, by the way, were arguing with people outside all night and made the whole establishment look very unprofessional. I had went upstairs at one point to make a call because i was waiting on a friend to join us and i wanted to see how far she was. A security lady with a short cut came in and told me i was not allowed to stand near the window/door with my drink, which is very understandable. I politely apologized and told her i was making a quick call and proceeded to move out the way. Next thing you know, she starts yelling at me, LITERALLY!!! She tells me that if i don’t like the rules then i can get out and pay another $25 to get back in……i never even complained about any rules or was being rude for her to act like that. Luckily there was no one around to hear this, but i still felt so embarrassed and belittled that it kinda just ruined my night. After just 30 minutes of being there, my friends and I agreed to leave and go somewhere else. This was such a terrible experience for all of us, not just me, and we all agreed that we’d probably never come back. I’ve advised almost everyone to avoid this place as well because honestly there’s just way too many clubs in DC that you can go to and not have to deal with piss poor attitudes like they have here.
Loved it here. My bottle girl Alyssa was amazing! Kept my bottles coming on time. Had a great time
I was at Privilege for the Caribbean Day Party this past Sunday. I had a blast!!! There was great music and even better vibes. My bottle girl Priana was incredible. She was so much fun and really made us feel like it wasn’t a sunday lol
Privilege night club is by far the best lounge in the DC area The servers are amazing especially Celina such lovely lady. The music and the ambiance is just amazing. It’s definitely a spot to be on the weekends or any day if you’re looking for an upscale hookah lounge with the perfect vibe and energy. My favorite is Saturday nights.
Came on a Friday. The music was good. A mix of hip hop and afro beat. Requested a song twice, 2x. Dj didnt play the song. So have fun but dont expect the dj to honor his word
Ive been to privileged multiple times over the last two months. The vibe has been good and Angie the bartender has been great. I wont go to any other bartender if shes not there I usually just have one cocktail and bounce. The hookah guy is always on point as well.
When looking for something to do in Washington DC on U Street I would highly recommend going to Privilege. Unlike many bars/clubs on U Street, Privilege stays packed and has the best looking girls - esp the ones that work there. ;0) The bartender Angie has served me a few times and always made sure I had the best experience. Unlike many of the other reviews, I havent experienced any bad customer service and would highly recommend this place if you like the packed club atmosphere.
Privilege is the place to be to have a lit & captivating night with your friends. The staff makes sure that you enjoy your night there and you feel like you are welcomed and and want to keep coming back! I would recommend anyone to come to Privilege for quality service & time every time!
Went here for my birthday and got a VIP table for 10 - the customer service was HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!! Servers are rude/arrogant and ignore your requests resulting in you asking for help multiple times. I wanted to speak with management after the treatment my group and I received and of course no one came. They also spelled my name incorrectly which was the icing on the cake. I will be escalating this matter. Waste of money, especially if you’re a group of girls.
I decided to get a section at privilege to celebrate my 25th birthday. The night started out good until my body decided to call it a night and my mother went to get the car to get me home safely. But before she left spoke with my friends to let them know that she would text when she was out front.Once my mom arrived with the car my friends carefully got me out and up the long steps and let security know that they were escorting me to the car really quick showing their entry wrist bands. One responded “i’m not the one you should be telling that to” so then they asked the other bouncer who acknowledged us with an “o that’s fine. “ As my friends talked to the bouncer the female door managers began mumbling loudly “ohh they ain’t gettingback in regardless”. These were the same women who assisted my mom and I upon entry. I want to note there were no instructions given on (NO IN’s or OUT’s).Once they got me into the car and returned to re-enter their privileges were REVOKED. Literally 3 minutes later with their wristbands were told No re-entry and wasn’t allowed to return to the remaining guests in the still occupied section and active club scene. The female door managers decided to be extremely difficult giving them an issue about going back to the section I paid over $1000. WHERE IS THE PRIVILEGE?!!? Then for them to turn around and deny my friends entry and be talked to extremely disrespectful, and left standing in the cold with club clothes when their coats and personal items remained inside for entire 20min. My guest informed them over and over that’s their belongings were downstairs and that they needed to retrieve them and it escalated into and argument to where two of them were even afraid of their own safety. The female door managers insisted that they wait until the club was empty before they could go back down. (So let others drink the CasaMigos I bought or even possibly get their purses or even coats stolen?!) WHERE DO THEY DO THAT?! They don’t know I was a maitre’d at Carmine’s DC for 5yrs while in college. They don’t even greet you with a good even welcome to “Privilege” are you celebrating something? Thank you for choosing us to celebrate your birthday… we are excited to create an amazing experience for you . NAH JUST DRYNESS!I’m appalled at how my guests were treated after spending that amount of money. I would never go back to Privileged again and highly recommend you DO NOT come as well.
The customer service was terrible! Im not sure if the workers are trained to be rude to customers, but I will never set foot in this establishment again. Its a nice venue; however, Im not paying $$ for people to be rude & disrespectful to me/my guests. I actually told other people about this place as well (Ive been there before), but I will discourage them from going . We sat down & they didnt greet us or even even ask us if we wanted anything to drink. They just plopped a menu on the table and walked away, and later grabbed the menu and walked away. Unbelievable!
Absolutely do not come to this establishment!!!!!!! The party promoters are all unprofessional. Clearly 5th graders are running this place when the owner isn’t around. Not everyone should be a business owner. Maybe a class In business management will definitely be beneficial. If you want to be treated unfairly then this is place for you. A lot of young people on a Saturday night. The drinks are over priced and it gets very packed. Don’t waste your time or money you will be highly disappointed
Bought tickets to attend last night and our ticket stated “ valid all night” got to the club and was told our ticket was no longer valid and the price was increased from $20 to $60 dollars, the management meant was unprofessional and very rude when requesting the change in the ticket, seemingly tried to finesse the people out of money even though tickets were bought prior to the club. This club was crowded and people were leaving while they tried to charge $100 to skip the line not a good time.
Liquor watered down real bad! Drinks tasted like straight juice.
Rail drinks were $20, hookah was $66….there were tables everywhere so not enough room to dance …would not recommend if you want to have a good time and not break the bank
I went to Privilege Lounge with some of my friends and had Angie as my bartender. Angie was AMAZING!! She was fun, personable, and very knowledgeable on drinks. I would definitely Always ask for her to be my waitress!!
I wish I could rate the establishment lower than zero. The club experience was average with tons of confusion over the bill and table price. The bottle girl paid the tab and held my card and ID without returning it. When I called to retrieve my items I was advised to go on Friday night. When I get to the establishment the “floor manager” refused to assist me because “he was eating”. The bouncer was extremely aggressive and lacked basic understanding of my situation forcing me to leave without receiving any help with retrieving my items. Overall extremely poor business skills from all areas of staff. My friends and I will not be returning! AND I NEVER GOT MY ID
This place is probably of dc best kept secrets. A very nice spot. Bartenders are on point especially Angie. She’s always full of energy. Drinks and customer service has been on point. I highly recommend you go see her there
HORRIBLE!!!!!!!! $500 for a table !!!! Nobody was dancing, can’t stand at the bar, had to move from empty seats several times, was told five times we had to move from dance floor!!!! Small, unprofessional, too many men sitting around doing nothing !!!!! Dry !!!!!! $20 per shot !!!!! $20 to get in but you can’t dance or sit unless you pay $500 for a seat !!!! Trash Poor customer service !!!!! Traveled 6 hours because Instagram photos are FRAUD !!!!!!!
Too crowded not really a chill spot unless you have a section
A waste of time and money, 1000 dollars for a section that was suppose to fit 4-6 people barely fit 3 of us. The party promoter kept asking us to move over for his people, I ended up just having to stand so he could sit. I was visiting from out of town I will never come here again
This is a Nice venue they have great music the drinks are too pricey to be U st ……. Angie is one of the best bartenders they have she makes good drinks and party’s with us as she serves us drinks overall 4/5 only because of the drink prices
Had an amazing night. Good vibes! Bottle girl Hannah was amazing as well. Will be going back for sure!
Best club in dc ! Always fun! Especially on Saturdays. Gm Tour did an amazing job setting us up for our section! 10/10
It was my first time attending the establishment for a GO/GO Function, Overall experience was excellent. I was alil late but I enjoyed myself. The venue was nice/clean, even the restrooms was upto paŕ, Goin be my new Spor
Great place! Had so much danced so much! Would def go back for a girls night! The staff soo amazing! Very professional
Ashanti was the absolute best! She was quick and efficient.
202Angie was my bartender and she was love, very pretty, LIT yet professional AND she gave me a bottle of water to balance out my drinking, she know whassup ask for ANGIE if you go there
Cool venue for a Sunday Soca turnup. They have the best tasting hookahs of U St. I also appreciate that their bartenders are pretty quick.
Bought tickets and still tried to get me pay 60 more dollars. Smh what a disgrace. They will try to get you. Don’t go here. You can go to so many other places and get sections for much cheaper with more respect smh.
Terrible experience worst customer service ! Booked a table for my sister birthday 🎂 was overcharged and lied to about table reservations and bottle service ended up spending over $1500 and worse club experience ever !!
I had an amazing night out!! The club is aesthetically pleasing, the music was great, and the staff was super friendly
I went to Privilege this past Saturday for the first time and I had so much fun! The service was amazing, this is by far the best club in D.C!
Only putting 1 star because I cant put 0 paid 2k for a section only for the other 2 sections to have 50-60 people in them without anyone keeping track of who is supposed to be there also weed smoke was at an all time high for no reason bad setup
Vibe was lacking. Drink were horrible....poor planning/management/execution of the event
Dope vibe! Even better crowd and Amaya gave top tier service! Couldn’t have asked for a better experience!
Had a great time, crowd was fun and employees were so friendly and nice. Great service.
By far one of the hottest new hip hop night club in DC. High energy environment plus awesome customer service.
I love it there Angie the bartender she makes it so AMAZING AND HER DEINKS ARE SO GOOD GREAT PLACE
Overall great vibe, love the people who work there and the music. Definitely hidden gem
I really liked Privilege because its a good place, and the hookahs are very clean and taste good best customer service

Always a great looking crowd and Good atmosphere. Definitely a Thumbs up
Great atmosphere and venue for a birthday celebration. Staff is amazing!
My favorite club in DC! Amazing service, music and drinks.
This place is a rip, they charging 1500 for sections that can barely fit 2 people.
That place sucks, it only opens at 11 pm, and the music isn’t goodThe cover is 20$, I don’t recommend
Priyana! She was very attentive and customer service was awesome!
Our group had a great time, will be back again!
Drinks overpriced! Clean establishment! Grown and sexy atmosphere
Love the vibe in this spot. Enjoyed the UAU open mic I attended
Nice spot. Enjoyed. Good music and drinks
Loved it here!! 10/10 will definitely be back!
Omg I love this place.... it’s so beautiful and best customer service. 👏👏
I didnt really care for this place... $1200 for a section that was half of a chair
I’ve had a great night good vibe love it!!!!
Awesome venue! Word class look and feel!
VERY OVERLY PRICED BOTTLES. AND I HAD TO ASKED TO GET MY CHANGE BACK 3 TIMES
Turned an underground club into a bottle service pos club.
Most underrated club in dc !
Top tier!! You won’t want to leave.
Avoid the place if you want to waste your money
Check your privilege and dont come here
