Club Rodeo

Out-of-towners visiting Wichita and had to visit the famous Club Rodeo. Honestly I was highly amazed with the whole experience and club. Everyone literally goes there to dance! The bar staff were nice, drinks were affordable and I was impressed with the security personnel. Definitely going back.

Steep cover charge: $7. The dance floor is dirty, I mean sand and small debris, in addition people can bring their drinks on the floor and as a result the floor becomes sticky and difficult to dance on. I wouldnt recommend this place for dancing.However the waitstaff was attentive. They have live bull riding on the weekends, and thus the two stars.

Student of mine traumatized by security. She is here from out of state and instead of reading/scanning her ID the guards took her to an unmarked back room and interrogated her about her past, she feared for her life and safety. Horrible place. Wasn’t good when I was a student, isn’t good now.

Security and management needs to get people off the floor if they arent dancing. Drove here to dance only to see 90 percent of the attendees standing on the DANCEFLOOR with their drinks. Smh. Why have a dancefloor and music if its unusable. Hope management fixes this!

I was DRUGGED by a fellow person there. I dont know who did it. I was not able to function. Had to be carried to my car, home, and bed. I love the place so much. I love the energy. Just had to mention. PLEASE BE AWARE OF YOUR DRINK AT ALL TIMES!!! I WILL NEVER COME BACK. WAS SO DISAPPOINTED.

Had fun. Danced a little. Enjoyed watching all the people line dance. It was great.

This place is trash!!! Doesn’t even play country music hardly!!!! Or any good for that matter!!! These guys never heard of Garth Brooks or George Straight!?!? Should change the name to any thing but country bar especially when they let minors in and let them stand on the dance floor worse bar in all of Wichita!!!! Never going back and won’t recommend to any one

They stuck you over if your just 21 and you work and can’t go get your id renewed so don’t go

First time there and I was impressed. Very casual, but not too casual. Didnt seem to be a bad seat anywhere for a small concert. Couldve been happier not paying $7 for a soda, but I guess that normal.

If youre a young 20 something looking to dance on a dance floor of sticky spilled alcoholic drinks, sweat, and if youre really lucky (or unlucky) certain nights, blood to modern hip-hop and the occasional top country hit, get drunk off some brewskis or cheap liquor, and possibly find a one-off smash, this is the place for you.If youre older, possibly married, and looking for a place to relax, listen to country music, or dance out with your partner, this is not the place for you.Also the drinks in general are pretty expensive.

Its a great place until about 1030 and then everyone just stands in the middle of the dance floor and doesnt move for people actually dancing. Underage drinking, shattered glass and beer bottles on the floor, people trying to start fights if you bump into them while trying to dance and they just standing there. Just seems like a place they allow teenagers to come into and just run the place and go wild.

This was the third stop on our Party Bus route for my nieces bachelorette party. This place was PACKED!!!! Folks were dancing, laughing and enjoying themselves!! Staff was great, bar was hopping, and we all enjoyed the visit. If anyone saw the pink bus out in the lot, that was us!! 👰‍♀️💍💘🚌🎉

Went in there on the 4th week of January they have some false advertisement going on they dont have live bull riding anymore or a mechanical bull in there anymore the address is different from what it used to be they played mainly Hip Hop and pop music from 11:30 till they closed

The security at this place is way to aggressive and out of hand they are gonna end up killing someone. They will legit come to your car 20 deep and take turns chocking you and steping on your neck. They legit were running around sat night chocking people men and women just for having there phones out recording them (THE STAFF) assaults people and steals there phones for literally no reason. It is not against the law to record definitely when its outside the building in the parking lot I do NOT recommend going here. If you value your life.

Drinks are well mixed, parking lot is welcoming for door dings and drunks to smash your doors.Worst part is a Bouncer with a Hail Satan beanie on walking around very proud of himself, talking with management at times.We will never be back due to the Hail Satan hat. If this place endorses Satan Worship then we wont go.

Not the place if youre an adult and want to dance with your wife to country music. Its for young kids that like hip hop. Just wish there were other country bars with a dance floor. Oh, and the dance floor is nasty. The bouncers think theyre living in the movie, Road house except they dont know karate. Again, its geared toward the young crowd , so if youre a married couple that just wants to dance and hear eachother talk, this place isnt for you.

Always a decent spot to go out to on a weekend. Same music every weekend. Went last night and per usual a fight started to break out, but someone flashed their gun on the dance floor so my friends and I left immediately. Y’all need to start patting people down or something because that fight definitely could’ve ended differently. Don’t wait for something bad to happen, fix it before someone loses their life because of a stupid bar fight.

Over the past few weeks, there have been guns flashed, girls spiked, and major brawls. Management needs to step up security and keep the known trouble out, as well as start doing pat downs. Itd also help if theyd roll the volume back about 5% and kick folks off the center of the dance floor who arent dancing

Last Wednesday I took a spontaneous trip to Wichita with my friend here all the way from Tulsa.. This place has a great atmosphere, cheap drinks... but... being a competitive dancer, I would not recommend dancing here. The floors are sticky, gritty, everything you could think of. So I’m just saying if you want to dance... I wouldn’t unless you’re just a line dancer then it isn’t so bad!

No longer a country bar. Nothing but hip hop and rap when they finally do play a country song the dance floor packs. Last song went from garth brooks to Lil Wayne and the dance floor emptied. The place was filthy, bathroom was broken, and the volume was so loud the bartender was using hand signals to take orders. To say the least this place is no longer fit to go to.

I was totally excited to come here and it was great, minus a ton of people just standing on the dance floor and not allowing room for the people who actually want to dance. They need bouncers for the dance floor, if you arent dancing , get off. That would make it a hundred percent better :)

After being warned by locals to stay far away, the husband and I decided to check it out anyway. Everyone said it was nothing but wannabe cowboys who mercilessly hit on every woman they could, started fights, and took advantage of drunk girls.We had a blast. The cover charge is a little high ($7 each). The service was great and it wasnt a rough crowd like we were warned. Yes there were guys who were probably taking advantage of drunk girls (thats a bar, unfortunately) but everyone was nice. The bull riding was fun to watch. The drinks were good and not expensive. The music went back and forth between country and pop. Overall, as a late 20s/early 30s married couple, we really enjoyed ourselves.

Showed up tonight, as a loyal club rodeo fan. There were multiple fights, as well as a possible gun being flashed. Guy had to be carried out and tackled to the floor. They need to start doing security checks to prevent this stuff from happening. Also, while the country songs were playing there was a large mass of people standing on the dance floor not even dancing. You need to make sure people on the dance floor are actually dancing or tell them to move to the side.

I loved it!! it was my very first time being there and let me tell ya, I danced all night with my partner ,oh and our favorite thing there were definitely the bull riding it was amazing! all bartenders were nice everything was pretty good. We had an awesome time!! will be back soon!

Club Rodeo is just the name now. It is more like a Hip Hop Bar with a Country Name. If you get there at 7:00 p.m. You can listen to a preprogrammed list of Country Artist til about 9:00 p.m. Usually after 9:00 PM it usually turns into a Top 40 and Hip Hop bar. Use to be you could dance til about 11:00 p.m. to Country Music. But not any longer. Before long it will just be another top 40 And Hip Hop Bar. If you wanna dance for hours to Country music. You better look elsewhere. This is not a place you wanna spend your entire evening and paycheck if you wanna hear and dance to Country Music.

Worst club in Wichita. Overpriced, bad drinks, its filthy and reeks like spoiled milk. The music sucks and the staff are rude, musty and kind of slow. Maybe they have a special program for hiring staff including management. Like how does everybody who works there smell like burnt garlic and onions, its really terrible!

The guy wearing the hail Satan hat made me feel the safest. Best person around. People saying otherwise because of a hat can hush. Hes the one whos got you. Hes the safe place.

Go early, like when the doors open. You only have a few hours before there is no room for 2 stepping. Makes me wonder if they are up to code with how crowded they are. Two things that irritated me: first, DJ doesnt play requested music, even with a tip. Dont ask for a slow song, he wont play any till the very last dance at 1:45am. Second, people who are not dancing stand on the dance floor making the floor smaller for those who want to dance. The DJ did tell them once to get off the floor but it didnt last long. One positive though, the drinks were amazing! I liked how there were numerous security men walking around.

Bull ridings every Saturday night. I go to club rodeo every time Im in Wichita. Even though I dont dance well, I still love it.

It’s not a country bar. Period! They played hip hop and rap 95% of the time. Don’t waste your time. Yeah they had bull riding but they up played how aggressive the bulls were to get attention and hype. I would not recommend this place for a country bar.

My wife and I have heard all the horror storys about this place , but we went last Saturday night over 30 miles one way Anyway, Im glad we did had a lot of fun . drinks are cheaper than any other bar , nice big dance floor for me to make a fool of myself two stepping . didnt see any fights but we left around midnight wait staff was there when needed but not overly pushy.(which is nice ) bathrooms where cleaner than most and well lit . going to become a regular place for us when we want to go out for the night .

The security here puts black men in choke-holds and maces them despite being already sat on by 6 security guards at the moment. And it seems like they enjoy doing so (only in a group of 20+ they feel tough) one of them literally said “put him to sleep” before putting the already detained person in a headlock.. just sad and weak

Just dont go if you throw up from the horrid music then the smell if the club will have you sick. I mean how do grown people come to work funky and dont care. Also the club is filthy so please watch your hands. You might walk out with Covid or something else it was so dirty I refused to use their restroom!

To be perfectly honest this is the first time Ive had a good experience there. The staff is typically too busy to be hospitable and I cant stand all the drunk people getting too wild for anyone else to have fun, but tonight was different :) my brother and his wife (who is from another country) came out to see line dancing and bull riding with her mom (also from out of the country). They had such a good time :) and my bartender (shout out to Brooke!) made it even better. She was super sweet and genuinely made what I thought was going to be a bad night a good one. I typically go out downtown because its a little more my speed, but I might actually give Rodeo another go with my friends that like to go here in the future. Thank you to all the people who made tonight a good night (especially you Brooke. I always tip based on service and yours was perfect!)

My wife and I have not been there in quite a few years, and the deciding factor was because of all the trouble the club has had, for those years Ive come close to getting in several fights, and thats due to the younger crowd that constantly causes trouble, so thats when I said enough was enough and never went back out there. Well last night we decided to try going back out there and decided to take the wifes daughter who is 22yrs. old she said it was okay. I didnt mind it last night, but you still have a long way to go to improving the clubs image. My biggest suggestion would be to get rid of the 18 to enter, because thats where the trouble begins and thats where it ends me not coming back out there, 2nd. suggestion you still play way to much hip hop music, that needs to stop, because thats where the trouble really begins, 3rd. suggestion clean the dance floor, and last night I saw way TOO many drinks on the dance floor, that has got to stop as well, put a sign up that says no drinks allowed on the dance floor at any time. 4th. suggestion if you are going to play hip hop limit it to at least 4 songs and have bouncers at every corner of the dance floor, because what I observed last night when you all were playing hip hop thats usually where the trouble begins is out on the dance floor, thankfully nothing happened last night, otherwise I would not be back out there again. When you all were playing the hip hop music I dont want to get out there and dance, plus I found it really hard to get out there and dance to any country music, as the hip hop blew the mood and couldnt get into it anymore. There is still way, way TOO much of the young crowd in there. There is still a LOT of improving to do, quite a ways to go. Clean that dance floor up, it needs to be swept every night, before you open after you close, with a good dust mop.

Honestly this was the best experience going out under the age of 21. The employees were way nicer than the employees at Midnight Rodeo. Had a great time, love the music but could add my updated songs to set!! Love you guys, will definitely be back!!!

Staff is rude, security are nasty, and the music stinks!!! Me and my boyfriend went for the first time (and last time). We where treated as if we did something wrong when in fact all that we did was dance next to a spot where two guys started fighting... about 10 security guys beat up my boyfriend grabbed me and restrained me (felt me up) because I was scared screaming at them to leave him alone. I will have nightmares for the rest of my life because of this place

Just went with some friends yesterday for the first time. Drinks are not that awful although they dont have a great variety, music was ok and everybody was hyper, I found quite interesting how literally all kind of social groups were just hanging around and dancing like crazy, it was like a mixed up salad of people of all flavours, they switch to country to hiphop to pop and even hispanic with no warnings and no order whatsoever and all kinds of people just joined and danced their genre and it was hilarious all the ones trying new things and experiencing new stuff. Not everyday you find a grandpa dancing to pop music, or black people dancing irish in such rural environment. We had a lot of fun and it was crazy, literally crazy, we found a cuban Michael Jackson, a black cowboy owning the dance floor, a white cowboy dancing hip hop, trans & straights dancing together, gays and elderly people just dancing their lives off! it was awesome! And on top of that they have this weird thing with real bulls every now and then. They just need to expand their drinks variety but overall I think is a must see place. Travel! Know the world!! know the people!!! I saw no violence or abuse at all, just the most amazingly diverse crowd enjoying together and we really enjoyed it, almost every total drunk we found men and women had a wingmate babysitting them. It was just a great night

I go to Club Rodeo with my family and friends and we all have a great time. The music is great and the bull riding is awesome. I love going there to hang out with people and have a great time. I plan on having my 21st Birthday there next year. Its gunna be great! They even hold concerts from time to time which is insane.

Were in Kansas working on a job and a group of our people wanted to go out and see what this place was about. First, We started a tab (which never do, please!!) By time we were done, it cost us $486. There is no way that we spent that much. They added peoples drinks/shots to our card. Secondly, the fights there are ridiculous. A man pushes a woman, then calls her a C*** and B****. You dont call a woman you dont know or even if you do know them names like that!! She got kicked out for punching him and then started it on another group of girls. Yet security allowed him to stay and proceed with his wrong doing because he was a part of the rodeo. Thats not right at all! THIS CLUB IS THE MOST DISRESPECTFUL PLACE IVE EVER BEEN TO IN MY LIFE!! I will not return and I hope you choose to go somewhere else where you can be respectful and not have pointless charges racking up your tab bill!

This place has no Idea how to treat its clientele. There was hardly anyone in the place: and they had the music so LOUD that our group of nine people left. It is too bad that this is the only place in Wichita, KS. that has a dance floor for county western music.

It wasnt too busy when we went but we still had a great time hanging out, dancing and watching the bull riders. The drinks arent too expensive and the bar staff was friendly. There is a cover charge which I guess is to be expected with the entertainment.

Would give zero stars if I could, they break the law every night and pump their bass so high it travels a mile and negatively affects the residential neighborhood. They’ve been notified and act like they don’t have to stop it. Wichita law says otherwise for one and for two it’s very disrespectful and rude to the people living near by. There are many ways (such as bass traps) to contain their pollution.Vile, self-entitled, and rude business.Update*It’s not nasty it’s fact based. The law you are violating is 7.41.010 in fact another club dealt with a similar law suit and lost. There’s precedent to show my point is fact based and valid. We’ve tried speaking to you, you ignore electronic comms. My wife even tried calling multiple times and every time was ignored, never got an answer. Ever think there is a clinical reason that I don’t call? No you make assumptions. Until the bass no longer violates city statutes and negatively affects the neighborhoods that are almost a full mile away, I will continue to press. You wouldn’t like it if someone beat you in the neck for several hours multiple times a week, I don’t either. While I have increased sensitivity I defer to my wife to tell if it is within the reasonable senses” portion. The choice is obey the law or I will continue to press. All it takes is one person to be negatively affected according to the law. The statute is there to protect the health and sanctity of citizens in their homes. And yes health, bass can negatively affect people in many ways. All you’re doing with that spite ridden response is proving my points. I’m not being hateful, everything I’ve said is based in fact with either physical evidence or behavioral evidence. If you want to “be a good neighbor” like you claim. Obey the law.

They charged my 21 friend a $20 cover fee when the rest of us paid $7 bc they said he had to pay an extra “twink fee”. They also took my friends government issued ID because she told the bouncer she wouldn’t send feet pics. Also, they only have fake wannabe cowboys in this establishment. Go to bourbon cowboy instead.

Its my first time, and im from out of town. My husband I loved it. If you want a older crowd show up around 730. At 1030 the younger 28- crowds packs in. We stayed to watch the first set of bullriding then left. over all I enjoyed it.

Great place to be and great place to work. I loved all my co workers and had an amazing time. Great way to meet lots of good people. As for those with bad reviews about the trash on the floor and the rude bartenders my advise to you is try being more polite and picken up after yourself. Those people work hard and theyre people too. Do you understand how many people come through in a single night. They work hard to provide everyone with the best experience possible. The staff is full of great people who will do their best to give you the best service possible; dont forget their doin the same for the hundreds of other people their serving that night too. I miss Club Rodeo and I cant wait to go back and visit. 2 of my best friends were security there and I myself was a waitress that worked my buns up from coat check. It was one of the best experiences and some of the most awesome memories I have. So if yall want to have a good time with lots of good people. Bring a smile, dress to impress, and go on down to Club Rodeo. Where the girls are hot and the beer is cold, and the men are what a country gals lookin for. Catch you a little rodeo action and try out the mean electronic bull for yourself but watch out for my buddy on the machine hell buck you right off if you dont mind your manners ;). Hes a real softie for the ladies though so girls hop on up and show the boys how its done. Club Rodeos the place to be in all of the great state of Kansas!

I hate club rodeo so much, every time i go i leave thinking “wow i just wasted money” save your time and find somewhere else to spend your time.

On 29 December 2017, my husband and I went to Club Rodeo to visit some friends and family (were stationed at Fort Stewart). Basically, we opened a tab (gave Bar Manager, Devan, our card). Went to go pay the tab with cash ($100). Devan said she would void our card transaction… never did. (3 January 2018) Saw they charged us $130 to our card. Called during business hours, busy signal… but we got ahold of Club Rodeo via facebook. Got a call from General Manager, Kyle Kelley, explained the situation. (6 Jan) He reviewed footage said my husband never handed her cash. 5 minutes later he told me he may have handed her a $10 (he never had a $10 in his wallet). He talked with my husband and said he heard everything that Devan said to us and she never said she would void the transaction (he is obviously covering for her because Devan told me and my husband) and then said he has 20 hours of footage to review and we should call him back Monday. (8 Jan) I called Kyle, and he still didnt have time to review footage. (10 Jan) Kyle had told me that he got the owner involved with the situation and the owner was going to review the footage because he (Kyle) was a novice at looking at footage and to call back the next day. (11 Jan) Called.. no answer… (12 Jan) Called.. no answer. Still have yet to receive a call from General Manager, Kyle.So, from here on out my husband and I will never open a tab and we will always just pay with cash after each purchase.

Worst night club ever. It’s not a country night club. It’s a hip hop club with a bunch of under age kids who don’t know how to act. You can’t 2 step or enjoy a conversation because kids are yelling and the music is horrible.

Bartenders are friendly, bouncers are good, waitresses and shot girls usually keep in good contact if you need a drink,prices are reasonable, over all I enjoy this place and try to go every day they are open even with it being an hour drive from me.

Gorgeous new place! Same o BS. Tones of space on the sideline but everyone wants to stand around and talk on the dance floor that is half the size of the old floor.

Love the music acts they bring in. Nice big bar. Even with large crowds can get around. Its one my hot spots. Gotta go see the Friday and Saturday night rodeos. Where else can you see that?

Alcohol is way too expensive here, $7 for one bottle of Heineken. This place is also very crowded as well. I think I like the clubs in old town better.

Waitress are awful, crooked security. The type of ppl that just kick you out for no reason but, on the positive side if youre the type that can two step to any song known to man this might be your place.

It’s lit in there but they play a lot of country music, it’s like a 5-1 ratio of country songs to any other genre of music like R&B or “hip hop”

DJ does nothing about the hoards of teenagers that just stand around on the dance floor so nobody that actually wants to dance to country music at a country club can do anything and have to dance outside or by the bar

, this company just let someone underage come in and then they accused me of trying to say oh hey she was legal no she was not they made her go back through the line and show her ID to get her age verified I cant even believe that your company would allow someone underage drinking to come through and I am going to follow through with the police department tomorrow because you had someone eligible to drink taking drinks how could you do this as a company

I barely go bar or drink, but it’s cool a place, the country dance and riding bulls seems fun! Beer is a little bit expensive, but it’s a bar, what do you expect?

Important message,I’m disappointed because some of the bartenders charged me way to more extra because I was tipsy and I noticed that because when I went back to get my second drink from a different bartender she changed me way to less for the same drink so I suggest whoever in charge should check their employees.

Its a great place to go and have some fun. I recommend leaving around 1:30 though once they close it can get quite rowdy and sometimes dangerous.

Absolutely disgusting how they beat the bull with inexperienced staff that repeatedly hit the animal until another guy stepped in to defend the animal! Then staff attacked to customers that tried stopping the men from attacking the animal!

I love club rodeo I work there for the stage set up and this place is my go to for concert venues and the staff welcome me as there own.
