Massage Green SPA

Unfortunately, like a few others, I was assigned a massage therapist who provided perhaps the worst massage experience Ive ever had.I had requested a female masseuse as well as a hot stone add-on to be told on arrival that this location doesnt offer hot stone and that my male therapist had been assigned. He didnt introduce himself, and we were off to an awkward start.Long story short, it was clear he is not properly trained, does not know how to speak to clients, and has a bizarre understanding of what the tone of a relaxing massage should be. I asked him to make more than one adjustment, which hed do, but then return to the areas I requested be avoided. More than once, he had his hands around and across my neck in a way that was really uncomfortable and made me feel unsafe. Clearly, I was becoming more tense, and he told me to breathe and relax in such a condescending tone, I almost ended the treatment more than once.I complained at the front desk upon departure, and the receptionist said shes had complaints similar to mine about him before. So why is he still receiving clients?? She offered free aromatherapy at my next treatment, but that add-on is a ripoff, and theres no way Id return to this location. The whole interaction with this location, across the board, was unprofessional and uncomfortable.I dont usually write online reviews at all, and when I have a service issue, I reach out to the business directly to handle it. But I asked to have a manager follow up with me when I was there at the spa and also sent two emails so clearly no one cares to connect directly.Ive had great experiences at other Massage Green, but I would strongly recommend avoiding this one.

We came in for a couples massage. I have medical conditions that need to be noted, I had to basically beg for the form to fill out. Then the young lady at the counter gave me the sheet for facials.... When the masseurs came out, they saw that I had the wrong one and got me the correct form.The masseur was ok, she still massaged the 2 areas I asked her not to, and was so rough that I was sore for 3 days after and had limited range of motion. But some of the massage was also amazing. The 60 minute massage only lasted about 35-40 minutes too.Overall I would not recommend this facility to others. I feel like there was some this is the way it is attitude going on, and a casual attitude towards safety too.

I would leave no stars if it was a possibility! I was on time for my appointment. I waited over 30 minutes and asked the receptionist if this was happening or not? The therapist was not even there! Zachary was still at home. Another therapist had to tell the receptionist to call him. No one said anything to me as I waited! Complete disrespect for me, with no regard to my time.The receptionist acted like she couldn’t be bothered! Close this place down! It’s a complete dumpster fire! Do not, I repeat DO NOT spend a penny here! I cancelled and the receptionist simply handed me a copy of refund. No apology, no explanation, she really cannot be bothered to do her job. When I asked if a manager was available she just shook her head no.As I was leaving Zachary, the therapist arrived, and said he had no idea he was on the schedule and that “he has a life.” I have never experienced a complete disregard for people as I have at this establishment.Tomorrow I filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I will tell everyone I know to avoid this place. Avoid this place at all costs!

I have only been getting massages for about 3 months now, and decided after the second one to get a membership because the therapist I started with was wonderful! However, for the third massage I booked a couples with my daughter. From the start I said that I only wanted female therapists. The day of my appointment a male therapist and a female came to get us so of course I had to reschedule. On the day of my rescheduled appointment I asked the therapist could the headrest be adjusted or could she put a towel around it, which is how the first therapist always did. No big deal, just a request. I didn’t mention anything about the cold table (which is usually warm) because I am very easy going and I try not to make a big deal out of things. When our massage was over we went to the front desk to get change for a tip. As I was walking to the back with the tip I actually overheard the therapists talking about the headrest request in a condescending way. It was not that serious. I politely walked back to the front, tip in hand, and left. This is a very intimate job and should be handled with the utmost professionalism. I really don’t feel comfortable going back and will more than likely cancel my membership.

Zach was my masseuse on 5-12-23. I received a full body 90min. massage, a Mother’s Day gift from my son! Zack gave me some very useful information about breathing and diet. I had a little soreness afterwards but nothing to complain about. This was my first professional massage at a spa and I will come back again.

Very unsettling,and unsatisfied with my massage. It felt more like a rude breathing lecture instead of a relaxing massage. The male therapist wasn’t very welcoming at all.I already suffer from anxiety/vertigo which is one reason why I wanted a relaxing massage.He was constantly telling me how to breathe in an aggressive manner that actually made me even more tense instead of helpfully trying to relieve the tension and help me to feel more relaxed like a seasoned therapist would’ve done.He seemed very irritated I feltuncomfortable and no longer wanted him to continue so I left without getting my massage completed. Someone suggested Kiera for my next visit I was told she’s very professional and attentive. I’ll definitely request her if I return. But most likely I will not

I had a really wonderful massage experience here. The place is well decorated and clean, I got a groupon discount for 60 min couples massage & sauna. Aisha & Kierra were our masseuses, they did a GREAT job. I was a stretched, serene, mellow jello by the end of it and the sauna really wrapped it all together. Definitely coming back!

I went in for a massage from Tamara a few days ago AND LOVED IT!! She was so damn good. She was very professional. I was very impressed with the front desk (Sana in particular). They made sure that every one had masks on, social distanced, took temperatures and had us clients wash hands. I felt safe and relaxed there. I will 100% be back soon!!

The receptionist did not no the policy on if you arrive late to your appt and was rude also the massage therapist was rude. Told me to reschedule for another day . Since I would only be getting 30 min. So I thought ok then receptionist says no you would have to pay again for a different appt. So then I said well I will just take my 30 min of course since I already paid for it. Of course my fault I was late got the time wrong but they did not know how to handle the situation at all and iam sure iam not the only one to show up late . Then when I got in the room it was dirty and the bathrooms are gross.And not to mention tried to call corporate and no one answers and the voicemail box is full never again would I come here.

I called 2 weeks ago to schedule a couples massage for myself and my boyfriend for his birthday. They called the day before and cancelled my appointment, telling me they couldn’t do both massages because there was an issue with one of the masseuse. The lady suggested I call around to other location. Which everyone was booked because it was the day before. When I called the Allen park location back asking for just a single appointment for him. They were fully booked and had nothing. It was a 2.5 hours time span between them canceling my couples massage, suggesting I call around and me calling back to make a single massage appointment. They did nothing for the inconvenience, and the attitude of the gentleman I talked to the second time was very rude and nonchalant. If it wasn’t for a birthday celebration I would have rescheduled but I don’t appreciate the lack of care from the Allen Park staff. Very rude and unprofessional.

Today was my first visit. I was greeted immediately, registered and completed the paperwork. The front office staff seemed to be efficient (even with a computer issue), friendly and interacted well with the other staff.Lindsey escorted me to a clean, quiet and comfortable room for my Swedish Massage. She asked about specific areas to work on as well as any areas to avoid. She was very nice and although we talked some, I had plenty of quiet time to enjoy the massage.She made sure I was comfortable throughout. I didnt check the time when it started; however, it ended right about 50 minutes, which is the time specified in their information. She also answered any questions I had about other services.Although I have only had a few massages, this was by far the best Ive ever had. I requested light to medium pressure and Lindsey did exactly that. She also focused on one problematic muscle, which was very much appreciated.The Spa has a wide variety of massages, facials, infrared therapies and more. Today may have been my first day, and I look forward to visiting again.

Pros: 1. Great customer service.2. Easy appointment scheduling 3. Location 4. Staff are practicing COVID requirements (temp checks, social distancing, mask wearing). 5. Absolutely amazing massage!!.Cons: 1. Cleanliness of massage room floors and walls grade is an F (failed). Room #6 has an awful fume smell and floors look like they haven’t been swept or mopped in a while. This is not cool for the staff to work in this room or the customers to receive services in this room. Once I explained why this room wouldn’t work for me. I was easily offered a another room. Thank you again. 2. Didn’t receive my full 90 minute massage.Note: If you are more interested in the actual massage and not the cons mentioned above, this is the place for you.Why did I rate at 3 stars? I have had a membership for about 3 years now.. I basically found me a Massage Therapist that I ❤️.. If she leaves then I will follow up to 30 miles away... Nice and professional establishment. They give courtesy calls and text 24hr before appointment.

Had a couples massage and it started off nice, front desk clerk was nice & friendly & my partners MT was nice, friendly & created a calming atmosphere. However the young male MT I had was rough, unprofessional & had a very negative vibe. He kept making demands for me to breath (I clearly was), stated I was to tense, maybe you if you remove your earrings you wouldnt be so tense (small studs), stop grinding your teeth ( wasnt grinding at all), breath, breath, deep breaths, inhale & exhale. This was over and over. I thought I was being punked but instead just received a crappie massage & no call back from management.

I called this location to see if they had two 60 minute massage sessions available.The receptionist Informed that they did not but told me they had a 1:00pm and 1:30pm available for tomorrow. So I went online, booked it; As well as filled out the online client intake form. My appointment was never confirmed. When I arrived I had to fill out the same exact paper I had filled out online the receptionist said it never transfers over she doesn’t know why they have it on the site. It took 15 minutes for the massage therapist to come out and get me. Which is taken away from my time that I can’t get back. They booked me for the woman and my boyfriend for a man which he did not want. They said we could swop masseuse but the time difference won’t be made up. That’s backwards! so I wanted to cancel the first appointment altogether. After waiting 15 more minutes to speak with the manager over the phone because it wasn’t one at the location she said she could move both of our appointments to another day where we can come at the same time! How is that doing me any good when I’ve already wasted my time, energy, and gas coming up there for nothing! There were kids crying and screaming coming from the back. Very unprofessional! The Dearborn location is way better! I’m rebooked for this coming Friday hopefully it’s a way better experience!Update: The supervisor called the day before my appointment (Thursday) and tried to change the times on us once again! At this point my boyfriend and I were both at a level of frustration. I canceled the appointment altogether. The supervisor I spoke with was very apologetic and offered both of us $10 off coupons, sauna, and amora therapy. How hard is it to stick to a schedule that’s already been set? It’s just a big NO for me. I’d prefer to spend my money were my time is valued.

The massage therapists are pretty good here, some better than others. Everyone has their preference so I am sure there is something for everyone. My main problem with this location is the front desk staff. I get inconsistent help from them. Half the time they are very helpful and courteous, both on the phone and in person. The other half of the time, they mess up my appointments, they schedule me with people who arent even free, and they treat me as if I am inconveniencing them. I think there is room for improvement.

I havent even left the parking lot of Massage Green because I had to comment on my masseuse, William. All 5 stars go to him alone. If I could give him 10 stars I would. He gave me the best massage that Ive ever had. He was professional, punctual, and very good at what he does. He gave me advice on what I should do about my Mom who has nerve damage in her spine and legs, which meant a lot to me. I read reviews before coming here and saw someone say that William was FIRE! They were absolutely right. He deserved a better tip than what I had in my purse so I went to the ATM to give him more. I am so proud of him and I will be back to see him very soon. Ive been going to Massage Green in Allen Park for many years and its always been a great experience. I dont have one, particular, massage therapist - I like to try them all to see their different techniques/routines. And they are all very good! The staff is friendly and professional too.

I have been getting massages for the past several months by Tamara and she does an excellent job. I have rheumatoid arthritis and have been getting massages for years, since I have a tremendous amount of pain in my neck, shoulders and arms. Tamara is by far the best I’ve ever had for massages. She shows care and concern and knows exactly what to do to make me feel better. She has a lot of knowledge and knows many different techniques that I never even knew about, to release pressure, tightness and pain in my muscles. She also gives me recommendations on what to do at home to help between the massages which I greatly appreciate. I wholeheartedly recommend Tamara to take care of you and know that she will provide A1 service to you.

I have been coming to Massage Green Allen Park for over 2 years, every other thursday for an hour deep tissue massage.This is an amazing place. The entire staff are so welcoming. Everybody that I have met so far are so sweet and care so much! THEY TAKE CARE OF THERE GUESTS.The space is amazing, it has a very professional, yet home-y feel that really makes you feel extra relaxed. They make you feel like family. If you are debating, definitely go get a massage here!!!!I absolutely love Massage Green Allen Park. In the beginning I had seen a few of the therapists there but have ultimately settled on Wilburt and hes phenomenal. The perfect amount of pressure and a great atmosphere. Hes very responsive and incorporates some guided stretching. I wont schedule with anyone else. Absolutely highly recommended.

This place is honestly embarrassing. I scheduled an appointment a week ago for a message, they called me an hour prior and said they had a call off. That’s fine. I scheduled today. I SHOW UP and they tell me there was a miscommunication and the person I’m scheduled with isn’t in. I would not recommend this location to anyone. Especially if your time means something to you.

Front desk staff was very welcoming, however my massage therapist was very condescending, He told me more than once I needed to do cardio or walk around the block this would help with stress and self esteem. “I beg your pardon!” I came here as a guest for a relaxing massage so of course Im not getting relaxed with all this unwarranted commentary. I have been reaching out to management since Thursday and have yet to receive a call back.

Great atmosphere and staff was very friendly. The massage was nice but not great, could have been a little better but what Im really bothered about is my facial. The woman who did mine was very kind and relaxing but she talked too much in my opinion and she used her own product line which I find to be sketchy but the worst part is 3 days later, today, and my skin is extremely dry after using plenty of moisturizer over the last 3 days as instructed by the therapist. This dry skin comes after a rosy rash on my cheeks. I wouldnt go back for this reason...

Good atmosphere and clean. Staff has always been helpful and friendly; even if I have had a technical difficulty or two over time, it has been resolved easily. Got a darn good Swedish massage from Will. Very professional. Chamere gives a great prenatal massage. I love getting an infrared sauna after a massage.. I leave feeling like a million bucks! So glad I finally decided to invest in a membership. What a difference in my well being.

The Massage was Really nice! Forgot the gentleman name. I gave 3 stars only because I had maybe 30mins of hands on massaging because they were behind. This was a bday gift so really wish I had the allowed time even post consult undress/dress

Front desk staff is Unorganized and Lacks Integrity. I called two hours before the appointment and upon arrival was told that I was at the wrong location. Then the staff said I had missed my appointment time when my husband and I both confirmed the time slot. She had overbooked and tried to place the blame on me. She was unapologetic and offered no solutions. I was left to suggest other alternatives. Very unprofessional and I will not return.

I rarely go for massages but my boyfriend surprised me with a couples massage today. I am a bartender and am constantly on my feet wearing heels. Its hard to find someone who will really apply pressure and actually get it good. Will did an amazing job I would recommend him to everyone I know and will be returning for future appointments. 👍

There was an incident where I bought a package deal at a Dearborn location but it was honored at the Allen Park location and I was charged for the massage even though I did my due diligence and asked if this was allowed (was told it was okay). The manager called me, confirmed the mistake and refunded me. These franchises are owned by individuals and even though the headquarters is a dead end, working through individual store management is the way to go. Ive used their services (both Dearborn and Allen Park locations) multiple times over several years and Ive only had one bad experience wherein my masseuse came in smelling like cigarettes and having freezing hands. Really took me out of the relaxation mode. But this has only happened once and I have since learned to make sure to ask for a nonsmoking masseuse. I used to go to a high end place for massages but once I discovered the $30 difference between Massage Green and the other place, it was a no brainer. I dont need to pay that much more just because I get grapes with my massage.

Zach talked the whole time telling me how I’m not breathing right. When I inquired about what exactly I was doing wrong, and what I should be doing, he said I was talking too much. Silently, I remained for the rest of my visit, while Zach told he how the stress of my breathing was causing me stress. He told me my expectations of him were way to high and that puts pressure on him to try to relieve my stress. Idk what that means. He slathered me with oil like ketchup to a hotdog! He told me to get undressed to my comfort level. I did. Then he came in and said “im using oil so u might not wanna get your underwear oily” but not to my comfort level? When I got there he asked me about areas of interest. I told him my back arms and legs. When he concluded the massage, without massaging my legs or arms, I said are you gonna do my legs and arms? He said no, I used all the time focusing on your back! Every massage I’ve had in the past, professional and personal, was better than this experience. And I also didn’t get my sauna session! Will not be returning! Thanks Zach.

Great service, excellent massages. Easy appointment and love the membership option. The only thing I would like to see is and updated beddings dont feel very fresh (especially the blankets) and maybe some disposable paper towels at the restrooms would be a more hygienic option please. Its very nice to offer the spa experience and provide actual towels to use in the restroom but it would feel much better to have disposable option available please.

I always enjoy my massage there, Rose is the best she always makes my muscles pain go away. I do recommend her for all who does suffer from stress and long time sitting on the desk

Ah I love Crystal! She is awesome and was able to give me some take home cleanser that smells amazing and makes an instant difference, the best thing is it is all natural ingredients! The first time I’ve had a facial and I will definantly be back, I’m going to invest in the monthly membership. Also the receptionist (Diane I believe) is super helpful and kind as well. A wonderful experience indeed 😊

Great experience at the Massage Green Spa. The atmosphere and rooms was very relaxing and clean. The receptionist was very helpful and Crystal gave me the best facial massage I have ever had. I get a facial on a regular basis, however I have never had such a relaxing and theaputic facial MASSAGE. She was very informative and I was able to buy some take home product. Great job Crystal!! I will definetly be coming back for full service massage and facial!!

I called at 1:00 and was able to get a 5:00 appointment. Walked in with a terrible tension headache. Will was amazing. He was kind and professional and I left there with my headache completely gone. If you need a deep tissue massage, Will is your person. He guaranteed that I will be back again and again.

The receptionist called me the day prior to my couples massage to confirm, I confirmed. Once we show up for our massage the next day we are told that first we must be at the wrong location. Then the story changed to the receptionist called a phone number 1 digit off from mine and spoke with my boyfriend and he confirmed it was ok to cancel. So, your telling me someone with an almost identical phone number just happened to have the same name as my boyfreind and also didnt find it strange that someone is calling to cancel an appointment? Complete lies told by this employee. Very disappointing after getting a babysitter and driving a good distance to this location.

I got a massage from Tamara, by far the best massage I have ever had, I will be back, and often, she is a miracle worker with her hands, incredibly professional, and extremely talented, I couldnt be happier with my experience, I give her 5 stars, but I wish the other therapists were a little more professional like her, I could here loud laughing, and talking coming from other rooms. That said, I will still be back, I have never felt better in my life, she gets my vote, best ever.

Oh lawd this was the worst massage I have ever had. Maybe it was just the therapist. I went in for a relaxing Swedish massage. The therapist kept on coaching me to take deep breaths continuously and its okay to get dizzy First of all, your bodys natural instinct is to take a deep breath, pause a little and breathe out slowly. You cannot take deep breaths continuously otherwise you will hyperventilate and get dizzy.All he does is do superficial rubbing. He then used a TENS unit and did not apply enough conductive gel so I can feel the little zaps of electricity on my skin.And lastly he kept rubbing my sternum (the flat bone between your chest where ribs are attached) and saying you need to relax. Just a little background, in nursing, a sternal rub is used to try and wake up a comatose patient because it is very painful, go figure, and tell me to relax smh. All the hormones released in my body are cortisol from that stressful session.Maybe they have other better therapists because I see a lot of good reviews here but please I do not recommend Zachary.

NEVER get FACIAL here!!! Good Body Massage!Me and my husband we both had appointments for facials and massage at allen Park. We liked massage but the experience of Facial was extremely POOR!!! And UNSATISFYING!! The lady was sweet but she didn’t not put worth 20 mins efforts for our facial where they claim it’s 1 hour facial. No steam, No cleaning black or white heads removing . Seemed she just wanted to sell her products and wasn’t interested in facial at all. We literally wasted our $120 for both of us. I will never get facial here ever again.

I had an amazing massage today. Will is very skilled and professional. I definitely will be back on a regular basis. One hour just isnt enough..... I might try longer next time.

Ive been going to Massage Green for a couple years, whether it was Taylor (before they closed) or this one. Today, I had the best massage from Nicole. I will be booking my future visits with her. I highly recommend her.

I got a deep tissue massage from Deloris, and it was literally the best massage I have ever received in my life. The front desk staff was friendly, the store was very clean and they were all following the covid precautions.

They messed up my appt. We’re supposed to be a two hour massage only had me down for one hour massage and wouldnt correct the problem. Are they said was we only have you down for one hour. I will not be going back to this location. On the plus side the massage was very nice

I like the set up of the place u can get everything done there. However!! We got a couple massage and it was horrible!! The lady I had was really sweated and kept passing gas. The lady he got was on the heavier side she sat down for most of the massage and was using one hand. He was ready to leave in the middle of it. I wouldnt go back there.

Really good experience! This was our first anniversary relaxing massage and they didnt disappoint. Completely calming massage with new age music with pressure how you like it. Highly recommended.

I never went.I bought a Groupon for a deep tissue infrared treatment and bought the Groupon.I looked at Groupon and they said I already used it.It was purchased at 8am and location didnt even open until 9am.It was 9am when I saw that it said I had used it.Didnt go and was refunded my money in Groupon Bucks.Never again.

My therapist was great. But they stole my money for a massage that I never received. I scheduled a previous appointment and cancelled the appointment 2 days prior and they still charged me for the cancelled appointment. Dont become a victim of these money hungry savages. The front desk staff are horrible!!!!!!!!!!!!

I received my 1st massage yesterday, it was horrible and not what I had expected as a birthday gift. I really regret that I wasted my bday gift. Im still feeling the awful results from it today.

People have always been professional here. Space is quiet and relaxing. Prices are reasonable. Message therapist have been fantastic every time!

Got a great 90 min. Deep tissue Massage from massage green my therapist name was achia she was very knowledgeable and applied the perfect amount of pressure to my shoulders and lower back I will be returning. Totaly worth the memembership.

Clean workspace. Beautiful, relaxing decór. Enjoyed my full body massage, I definitely couldve used more time; an hour is too short. My therapist was professional and worked out my problem areas. Much appreciated.

This location needs to train their employees I’ve never had a massage where all they do is massage by just putting oil ten times in one spot but don’t actually use their hands. The rooms are ugly and filthy, one side of the carpet was stained and the other very dirty. Beds are so cheap and old. Wish I could of left somewhere else (gift card).

I have been to several Massage Green Spas and love them so much that I joined the massage club which saves you money! Stephanie is amazing at facials and Michelle did an excellent massage focusing on my needs.

Poor management to the extreme. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy, they cut down your time without notice, the staff is very loud and onbxious, who ever works at the front desk isn’t very approachable and was on their phone and there was over three people behind the counter being loud, decor is outdated not a friendly or calming environment. Will never visit this location again.

Just tried to call to ask some questions and book an appointment, first call, was on hold for 7 minutes then hung up on. Called back was placed on hold again and hung up on. I think it was a sign that I need to not go here so, thanks for that!
