Great music, but if you want to get property stolen, come here! My friend had both her wallet and phone stolen out of her purse and there were about a dozen other people that had it happen on the SAME NIGHT. Majority of the staff was unhelpful and unwilling to resolve the issue, and based on looking at other reviews after the fact, this is clearly a pattern. Photo attached is the two suspects fleeing with stolen property (that the bouncers refused to stop). AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

I was enjoying a nice evening at The Ranch and their security threw us out for no reason. They claimed my friend vomited multiple times, both inside the bar and over the railing down onto the sidewalk below us onto some college girls who were trying to get into the bar. Yes my friend ate a large meal earlier and yes he did vomit many times but they cannot prove that he was the one heaving chunks over the railing like wet soggy hand grenades. They claimed they have footage of him on the security camera but I think they were just jealous of his thick, luscious pubic mat.Anyway not going back the whole place smelled like vomit and 10-oz ribeye steak/carrot.

THE RANCH = PHONE THIEVES. They steal everything in your zipped purses, passports, car keys, house keys, your IDs, all your credit cards then they take it to Sams Club in Katy Texas, max them out, ship your phone out to Houston then Miami then Shezeng and they take out your phones SIM or extract your eSIM and send you violent text messages and disturbing threats and images and try to FaceTime you over and over again and text you relentlessly. Then the phone ends up at Shezeng China and the factory workers at that exact building started looking me up on LinkedIn. Violating experience, the bartenders and staff are in on it. Do NOT go to West 6th. Worst establishment ever.

Great atmosphere. Killer music on Saturday night. Was in town for the weekend and went here for the Ryan Meetup unofficial after party. DJ even gave all the Ryans a shout out.

Hadn’t been here in a hot minute. Dirtier than usual, the restrooms sucked, they smelled like garbage and drain. The music was alright.

Just want to give a big shout out to the bartender with the flower tattoo on her left chest for being so rude. I literally asked her how she was doing and she rolled her eyes at me and said what do you want. And then when I rolled my eyes and tried to order, she literally said I wont serve you and took two other persons. Sorry i matched ur energy lol. Pls check your cameras if you need proof. This is literally why yall have bad ratings smh.

Have been to this bar multiple times, never had a problem there before. Went out with my friends last night and there was a new bartender I’d never seen before who kept taking our drinks where we couldn’t see to make them. Me and another friend of mine wound up roofied and could not walk or stay conscious. Another one of my friends had her phone stolen out of her back pocket the same night. IF I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS I WOULD.

Got my phone and wallet stolen here this friday out of my own purse, i traced it to houston best buy. The workers here and bouncers assist and are compliant with thiefs and laugh and say it happens here daily. people get their car keys, passports, id, cards and everything stolen. then they take our cards and use it at Shell and coconut club and drive out. I have been to this bar plenty of times and not had anything stolen, but was there two days ago and both me and my roommate had our phones stolen out of our CLOSED purses that were on our shoulders without us realizing. I personally know 2 other people who have had phones stolen at this bar as well. The bar is a great time but clearly they have some sort of theft ring going on here and I wouldnt be surprised if the staff there was in on it too because they clearly havent done anything to stop these thieves from stealing countless phones.

My girlfriends wallet, keys, and phone got stolen out of her purse. They were unhelpful and obviously none of it was recovered.Also same night 2 kids got jumped outside of the bar, both were bleeding bad and one got stabbed. I got them into a corner to safety and asked the 8 bouncers outside to call an ambulance, they cursed me out and told me it’s not their problem. From a liability and a human perspective that’s messed up.

DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR PHONE MISSING! My friend got her phone stolen right as she was walking into the bar. After reading reviews this is clearly a problem for The Ranch and they seem to brush off the problem like it’s nothing, even though there’s a system of theft going on right beneath customer’s noses. Not sure if they need better security or cameras in the bar, but something needs to be done.

Only go here is you want to lose your phone. My phone got stolen last night as we we were walking in the place. I had my hands in my pocket protecting my phone but then someone pushed one of my friends and I took my hands out for five seconds to catch her mid air and after I helped her my phone was gone, I immediately use my friends phone to track mine with FindMyPhone and it showed it was still there, even my apple watch was still connecting but no ONE person from their staff help me with the situation! By the end of the night when they were closing one person from their staff at the door told me that 15 other girls had come to him saying that their phone was gone too and a guy who was there told me yeah, this always happens here, so how come this issue has been going on for soooo long and the place does not make anything to solve the situation?

The Ranch is a horrible establishment. Every time I have come to this bar, it has been the worst experience. My phone was stolen from my purse, and no one working at the bar tried to help me. Ive also read from many others that getting phones stolen here is a huge problem. Its most likely an organized crime, and the owners do not seem to care that this is taking place. I will never be returning, and I do not recommend The Ranch to anyone.

Got my wallet and keys stolen out of my closed purse and bouncers were unhelpful. Wouldnt recommend going here unless you can keep your prized possessions in your hand or in eyesight the whole night.

In shock had my phone and credit cards stolen last night same with my friends she had her car keys stolen. looks like its an organized crime thing they have going on here , going to be calling the cops and filing law suit.

My phone got stolen last night and when I told the staff they just laughed at me and said to retrace my steps. I explained how I definitely had it on me whenever I walked in but they didn’t care. No help from them at all

Many unauthorized charges on my card. Very unhelpful staff. Not completely their fault because the place is super busy but they need to be aware and make sure they charge the right persons card.Other than that the place is a good spot.

My son had his iPhone 13 and credit card STOLEN here — appears organized, will be contacting local police yo file a report. Be aware and beware!

If I could give 0 stars I would. Have gone to this bar multiple times last night had a bartender I didn’t recognize take our drinks to the back before serving and didn’t prepare them infront of us and my 2 friends ended up roofied and my phone got stolen out of my clothes

Terrible bar. Awful experiences all around at this place. They never have enough bartenders, the staff are awful people, the bathroom lines wrap around the room which is unacceptable, and so much more. They don’t follow TABC guidelines, coming from a former bartender. I will not be coming back to this bar and would not recommend it to anyone I know. Ridiculous. 👎

I had a great time at The Ranch!! Went here for a bachelor party. We did the bottle service and were having a blast! The dance floor was huge and really fun! It was a great night out with the buddies!

Great place to dance on a weekend. The open roof dancing is super fun, and the two dance floors are great. Good music. Actually never had a drink here, so cant speak to that, but overall a good place.

This is usually a stop on our list of venues to hit. The bartenders are pretty quick with drinks and dont choose favorites when receiving drink orders. The dance floor is always packed. Nice place to hang out.

I love the open setting between the two upstairs bars, there is always lots of room to dance and meet new people. They have a lot of bartenders on staff so you arent constantly waiting in line for 10 minutes to get a drink. Also the music is AWESOME!! The DJs they have on the weekend are phenomenal and always keep the good energy going all the way until 2am. Great bar, fun atmosphere, and right in the heart of west 6th!

We went here a few nights on a bachelorette party and it was SO MUCH FUN!!! They have the different levels with different types of music playing so theres fun for all! There is a photographer that goes around on Friday and Saturday nights. We will definitely visit Austin again and when we do we will once again come here!

Our favorite bar on West 6th. The crowd is unpretentious unlike other bars nearby. The DJs play good music (albeit a little repetitive at times). It has a similar atmosphere to Shakespeares and Blind Pig on Dirty 6th but less trashy. I usually dont have to wait long to get served at the bar. A great place to end the night.

The bouncers are a bunch of jerks. After my phone was stolen, they yelled at me and told me there was nothing they could do to help. The bartender told me the same thing. This Hass to be the absolute worst bar ever.

I went on a Saturday night. The upstairs was jam packed. Literally standing room only. A little difficult to navigate through the crowd. Awesome music, and the bartenders are fast. This was also my first time on West 6th. I definitely enjoyed myself.

I cant give this place a rating for very good in anything, because I feel like what has made it fun is the group of people I have been with. I will give them credit for playing great music, but drinks are expensive here. Besides the fact that they have a great outdoor patio, there is nothing extremely special that sets this place apart from other bars along West 6th.

My daughter and her friend had their cell phones stolen out of their purses, which by the way they wearing around their shoulders the entire night. When my daughter asked for help from the bar tender, he said it happens every night! So I wouldn’t go there unless you want your wallet or phone stolen!

We went here for St. Pattys day and the atmosphere and DJ was really great. Great deck view of 6th st and the drink prices were really reasonable. The green beer was a great festive touch! We will def be back for some day drinking or when we want a fun night out.

My friends phone got stolen here the other night and nothing was done about it by the staff. she had it in a purse with a latch on it. a different week a group of 8 girls all got their phones stolen. this is nothing new- it must be staff. don’t go if you want your phone stolen! :-)

The bartenders by the first bar by the entrance were annoyed and so were rude from the start. The music was okay; their genres of music changes far too quickly that if you like one song, chances are that will be the only song you will dance to, or at least, enjoy for a while.

Great place to hand out, drink and have fun with friends/ We went for a business trip with our employees. It is very crowded so dont lose each other. The bar had all the drinks we asked for but its was busy, wait for drinks at the bar was about 1 minutes. Not so bad.

One of the Funniest Bars Downtown!! Some of the hottest looking Female Bartenders with great personality. The DJ is on point too!! Spins some nice House, Hip Hop, underground and more..The crowd scene is nice, some of the Sexiest Ladies of the ATX are enjoying this Social Scene!!

One if the best places on West 6th to hit on a Thursday, Friday or Saturday night. The place is lively with a great crowd. You can reserve a table and an enclosed area if you are hosting a large party. Two separate floors with different bars and music.

Music and atmosphere is awesome and fun but sadly, I will not be returning. While waiting in line to enter, the bouncer made an inappropriate remark to me about my clothing. THE BOUNCER. The person that Im supposed to be able to approach if someone else makes a gross remark like that to me! So gross.

Weekend late night it is an aggressive dance filled bar, but during earlier hours or off nights can be more laid back. They have a massive roof deck, fire place, and pool and darts in the back so you can hang out there outside of the dance parties on weekend nights.

Cool place to have a drink...super snooty crowd that think they look way better then they actually do. Would not take a date here but would cruise with friends looking for a not at all meaningful hook up. Over priced drinks that suit the crowd...nothing special but worth checking out.

Its actually not a bad place to go to early in the night, when its not crowded and you can sit, chill, have a drink, and get a nice view of Austin from the balcony. If you are going for a night out after 10pm, expect it to be crowded. It wasnt always my favorite crowd either.

Two dance floors upstairs with different atmospheres. Reserved tables are an option that can look over the city. Decent prices on drinks, and great place to dance

So fun! Great music with a really cool venue. There are multiple levels/bars/djs all under one roof. There was a line when we got there but it went really quick!

Went here when I first moved to Austin never experiencing West Sixth Street ever. I had always been to East Sixth street bars and to my surprise The Ranch was just what I was looking for. Much more adult atmosphere on West Sixth but the crowd was hype at the The Ranch. The music was awesome and the rooftop atmosphere really fit the bill. The drink prices were average. If you come to Austin make sure and go to the Ranch in West Sixth. You will have an awesome time!!!

2 phones were stolen from my group and the security guard laughed at us and told us that it happens and to cry about it. So unprofessional and disrespectful I will not be going back

I got my phone stolen here not once but TWICE. Owner’s aware of the situation and doesn’t do anything about it.

Great for the 22 year olds and nights you want to get hit on by drunk people who are looking for anyones attention. I have definitely been dragged in here many times and had fun, but I cant recommend this as there are so many better bars in the area for people my age (30s)

No cover, one of the more crowded spots on west 6th. Most of the people tend to be upstairs, theres a bar and chilling out area at the top of the staircase, with a few more steps leading to the dance floor area, which has a bar on the opposite side of where you come up. Theres also a small outdoors area where you can go to smoke. Drinks are alright, good place to go if youre in the mood for what amounts to a dirty 6th bar on west 6th. Popular spot to end the night at, and one where friends and I usually end up when we hit west 6th.

Large bar with two separate areas - one for general drinking / mingling and one that is more of a dance floor. Stopped by on a Friday night and there were a lot of people around, but it didnt feel too cramped.

Not a ranch. . .pretty cool bar(s), tho. Looots of beautiful (looking) humans in that place, but I didnt come across much in the way of good conversation, however. Male barback was busting his hump, I think his name might have been, Davey? Dave, maybe. Good to know Austins service industry workers havent completely sold out

The night I was there the bouncers punched a girl in the face, another stranger got sucker punched just for asking why they hit the girl for no reason. Later in the night I saw five bouncers beat up one of the guys in my group just because he asked for them to find his phone he lost. They obviously used excessive force. The cops were called and the only statement they took was from the steroid monkey bouncer who was doing all the sucker punches. They get paid by the bars for extra security. I feel the Austin police are to blame as much as the bar itself. It was packed and the service was horrible. If your thinking of going here bring a lawyer and a flask.

This is a good place for a couple of beers on a warm day. The rooftop patio is a great place to spend a couple of hours and the bartenders are fast and friendly. Ill definitely be back.

If I could give a 0, I would. The owners & staff coordinate with thieves to steal customers’ phones, wallets, and identities. STAY AWAY if you care about these things.

I attended my first BASHH (Big Ass Social Happy Hour) at the Ranch on West Sixth Street last week. It was a pretty standard Western-style Bar with the requisite animal heads mounted on the walls and barrels that served as small tables. This place clearly caters to a well-heeled yuppie crowd with money to burn. The service was lackasdasical; and I got the impression that the model-handsome bartender (or should I say mixologist) would rather be working on his modeling poses or memorizing his lines than mixing uninspired drinks. I doubt Id return unless I had a really good reason and the service and drink menu drastically improved.

Dj sucks, incredibly crowded saturday nights to the point you wont be able to walk without someone spilling your drink. Usual clientele is rude and disrispectful. Dont come here.

The place is still very okay as always but they are charging a 20% automatic gratuity on all orders. They do not let you know in advance and if you ask about it, they rudely answer that they’ve “been doing it for a while now.” I’m not 100% sure if that’s legal, but they deny anything other amount than what they have charged you.

Poor atmosphere for a college student, ripped a 10 dollar bill out of a friends hand when entry was attempted (no cover at this place)

This place is awful!! nothing but drunk college kids acting important. The staff is rude and the line is always long to get in for some reason. there afre plenty of other way better bars in the area to go to. I suggest you skip this one on your next visit

Fun enough, lots of stairs! Very odd that you can rent out the upstairs front wall section, and kick people out of the already very limited sitting space.

The staff had lost a persons card and would not look for it until he was getting mad and they ended up finding it, but while all of this was happening they were using bad language and were aggressive and after all of this still pushed him down the stairs and 5 of them hit the guy in the street! Horrible and rude staff!!! I WOULD NEVER GO THERE AGAIN

I had the pulled pork pizza. Its incredible. I dont know what was better, the meat or the crust. Atmosphere is great, too.

This place is just massive. Theres so much going on that its kind of sensory overload, especially later on in the night. Ok beer selection, and of course, you standard mixed drinks.
