This is coming from someone who has worked in the service industry. Soho has some of the rudest workers Ive ever met. I wouldn’t be surprised if most of the employees are new to the industry because they move extremely slow and severely lack customer service. I find this very comical because the place wasn’t super busy and it quickly became evident why it wasn’t. I politely asked the bartender who made my first drink for a different drink because mine tasted very off (rum and coke). After I said something the person who made my drink rolled his eyes at me and didn’t say anything. He went up to 2 different bartenders and started taking other orders. One of the bartenders he spoke to eventually came up to me and took my order like she really couldn’t be bothered. Of course no one offered me an apology because that would be too much like right. The 2nd drink (vodka cranberry) wasn’t much better but at that point I no longer wanted to spend my money or time there. I sincerely hope that if the manager/workers are serious about their money they get an attitude adjustment

Is it legal to charge a tip without advising the customers? We had two non alcoholic and one alcoholic beverages and ended up paying 80 dollars; which included a 20 dollars tip without my knowledge. 👎

Sad. The entire upstairs was flooded or wet and was not blocked off to the public. Not well maintained. Drinks are definitely watered down. But I get it, anything to stay in business. Looking for a good time, this place ain’t it.

Me and my guy were allowed to be disrespected at this establishment. A drink was kicked on us by a drunk patron and we were told to have a drink somewhere else. If you like being disrespected then SOHO LOUNGE in Austin 6th st IS YOUR PLACE. O yeah it is advertised as black owned but a white patron kicked a drink on us.. way to GO SOHO

Wouldnt recommend anyone to go here. Anywhere else in Austin but here... Why? Where to start i dunno. 1 - Both the place and production is run by amateurs. 2-Drinks are expensive but bad 3- Rude & amateur bouncers. 4- Good Dj but bad music (sorry dj. Im sure its not your choice. You were trying but ...) These people should be thought customer service They have no idea about it. People doesnt go there just to waste money, They are there to have good time and spend their hard earned money and the establishment is there for them. Not the other way around.... If you go there dont expect service or good experience and youre good to go...

This place is ridiculous. Apparently the owners allow their friends to come, get drunk, and put their hands on people. The bar was closing and me and my friends were on our way out at the end of the night, when this women who was associated with an owner swung on my friend because of the outfit of another friend. It was the weirdest experience I’ve ever had on 6th. She was like 50! The thing that makes it worse is that instead of making both parties leave they protected the assaulter! But I’m not surprised there either because the staff was trying to pick fights with everybody leaving. I don’t recommend this club unless you want to be swung on for no reason and put out. Club: 0/10 Staff: 0/10

The new management and team makes this the place to be! Great diversity in music, awesome lights, and outstanding service. If youre looking for a great time, this is the place to be. The bartenders make it fun, the DJ knows exactly what to play, and if you like to dance on bars... youll get your way!

All in all, I need a few drinks in order to feel okay about being here. But then again, I could say the same about all of dirty sixth.The drinks are pretty average for the area. It can get really, really packed on the weekends, but I wouldnt recommend coming here when its not packed because the atmosphere calls for a party.I will say that the last time I went to Soho, the music had noticeably improved. It was the most fun I had dancing all night.

They charge you for mixed drinks even if you order a shot. I.E. you order shot of crown .. they will charge you crown and extra for coke you didn’t order.. I asked the bartender and she said owner told her to do it.. it’s blacked owned and he taking advantage of people.. They also charge a extra 20 percent on every drink .. so they lie about the drink charging shot plus another drink you didn’t order than charge you 20 percent .. Tried to support but d@mn you just trying to get over on everybody ..

Place sucks. Sleezy bartenders do not recommend.

I LOVED the atmosphere at Soho! The drinks are bomb and the bartenders are so much fun! The DJ is the BEST!! They even gave me and my friends a FREE CHAMPAGNE BOTTLE!! You cannot beat that and We’re definitely going back! Thank you Soho!! ❤️🍾

Every time I come here I get robbed. Knowing that they will pull more from my card than what I wrote as tip, I stopped writing tips elsewhere in 6th street. Last Friday on the 19th Feb 2016 Ive been there hanging out with my friends and purchased some drinks and the total was $13 for which I have a receipt. I totally striked off the tip column in the bill, instead I tipped the bartender with cash. And to my wonder Ive been charged $14.95 on my card. This is not the first time this happened here. I get over charged every single time I visit here. I tried to call them several times and nobody responded. Its not about $2 extra charge, think how many people will be visiting in a weekend and how much extra income they get overall. Need not to say as some folks previously said bouncers are racists.I would never visit this place again.

They are great when it comes to bottle service. Definitely cater to the fellow service industry folk, and they sometimes have fun little events going on here, but you have to catch them. The door guys are really nice. Drinks are typical.

First time there tonight . Looks clean its wasnt that big but it had like an open window which was nice. the bartender was nice . I ddnt go into the bathroom cant tell u how clean that was but the place was nice the music was cool.. it was not crowded and they followed the covid regulations and there was hand sanitizers at the door .. ppl were masks also. Im glad to see that ..

Great place, great drinks, fun vibe. Very clean and bartenders are knowledgeable about Austin which was awesome because we’re from out of town.

Dont ever go there if youre not white. Ive always heard how the bouncers are racist to the max. Last night the bouncer INSISTED I roll my pants over my dress shoes because he didnt like the color of them. If it werent for my girlfriend loving the place I wouldve bounced. I stood by the door to see if he would be a douche to anyone else, needless to say, he was. Please do a better job of hiring bouncers wholl cater to paying customers. This place is a no go. Get the eff out of 6th street.

DO NOT GO HERE. While this is clearly a bar, they call themselves a restaurant, even though they serve no food. This means each drink is an additional $3 dollars for no reason. I do not recommend anyone who wants a regular priced drink to go here.

Ive only been during SXSW, but its a pretty cool bar with 3 levels. Theres a nice open roof that can be closed off from the weather as well. Bartenders were friendly and fast.

The bouncers claim to have a strict dress code but its all based on their own stereotypes. They wouldnt let me in for having baggy pants though they werent then saw another person with the same kind of pants go through, sadly it was a white person. Ive never experienced racism in Austin till then.

Staff is extremely disrespectful, male/owner kicked the door in the women’s restroom when trying to use the restroom an hour before closing. Made my friends and I very uncomfortable, will not be returning.

We walked and were automatically told they had a private party.There were a group of girls that left and we asked them if it was private and they said no.Please keep in mind, we were women and were visiting from out of town. Needless to say they only have private parties for certain types.

Why have drink prices on the menu, then charge $1 extra on the receipt? If its a 3 dollar shooter it rings up as 4 dollars, if its a 12 pitcher it rings up at 13, prepare to spend an extra dollar on your drinks!

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE. Also, do not pay with Credit Card if you do decide to go here. They will bump your bill however high they want. They will also refuse to give you a copy of your itemized receipt. I am in the process of filing a lawsuit against this establishment.

Great Atmoshohere and Energy. Soho is a Diamond in the rough. Best Night club on Dirty 6th by far. From the people that come here to work or the people who come to dance and drink you will see everyone with a smile on, enjoying their time. Youll feel completely safe and relaxed while you dance the night away.

I love going out to Soho, it is my favorite bar on 6th St. The staff is always great and the specials are top notch. The DJ on Saturday night is, by far, the best DJ in Austin.

The manager/ owner is TERRIBLE & SO RUDE!! My friend was in the bathroom & he kicked the door in when she was peeing and yelled at her. NO Customer service at all. Ill never go back!

$8 for a 12oz domestic. Everywhere else is $5 for a 16oz. No wonder this place is empty and got people outside beggin you to come in

Employees were unnecessarily rude. They would not allow us to close the bathroom door because it was an hour before close???

Just called to see what the age was to get in and a rude man answered. Like I get your busy or whatever but there was no need for that and then he just hung up on me!

Knock off alcohol used in the drinks and the place is dirty. Much better places on Dirty 6th.
