My husband purchased a $100 gift certificate for our anniversary, but unfortunately, our experience with this business was deeply disappointing. The person who issued the gift certificate wrote the purchase date and expiration date as the same day. When I went in to resolve this error and asked them to honor the certificate, I encountered a troubling lack of customer service.The first representative of Delight Massage I spoke with insisted that they have a set expiration policy, of one year, but there was no signage or information available online to indicate this. When I pointed out the error, she decided to consult the person who originally issued and signed the certificate, who then claimed their policy was a six-month expiration. Despite this, there was no way for me to know, given that the dates were written incorrectly. It was only after further discussion that they claimed the certificate was issued by a previous owner, contradicting the earlier information I was given. The inconsistency and unwillingness to take responsibility for a simple mistake were frustrating.As a business owner who prioritizes and teaches customer centricity, I find it unfathomable that this business would not correct such an obvious error. Honoring a gift certificate should be a simple and straightforward process, especially when the mistake is on their end.My husband and I had visited this establishment before, and we were pressured into paying $20 tips each, which was already off-putting. Despite this, my husband returned to purchase a gift certificate because he was unaware of other options. As I reviewed other customer feedback, I noticed multiple complaints about being pressured to tip excessively and being treated poorly if they declined to do so. This is not only distasteful but also reflects a concerning pattern of behavior.I rarely write negative reviews, understanding that many businesses might not realize when theyre falling short in customer service. However, in this case, it is clear that multiple customers have already voiced these issues, and yet nothing has changed. The fact that the business doesnt respond to negative reviews or attempt to rectify these experiences is particularly telling.Its alarming to read accounts of customers being denied a full massage they paid for due to their height or build. Discriminatory practices like these are unacceptable in any business.I strongly urge potential customers to take these concerns seriously. There must be better options for massages where customers are valued, treated with dignity and respect, and where mistakes are handled professionally, rather than being dismissed. This business seems more interested in making money than in providing a quality customer experience.

I would definitely recommend this establishment. I have constant muscle tightness due to physical handicaps. Sunny is super professional and super strong when needed. She offers a great service and just let her know what areas effect you. She is knowledgeable about how to adjust you so your body van be aligned right.

Another 90 minute full body massage made me feel relaxed. Many massage therapists seem to know where I feel uncomfortable all over my body. Its worth recommending their dedication to work. I will come back again

I am a friend who introduced a customer to this store. Long hours of computer work have caused shoulder and neck pain. I have to admire the masseurs technique of massaging once a week, one by one, and it seems that massaging once a week has really made me feel a lot easier and no longer painful. I recommend that those who want to really get a massage can go and experience whether what I said is true

Man this place was exactly what the doctor ordered! I was greeted with all smiles and felt extremely welcomed! The ladies were so professional and efficient! Wendi is an expert in her craft and I will definitely return very soon!

Massage was Decent but like most reviews are mentioning, Lady will press you aggressively for $20 TIP. We had two 1 hour sessions and she wanted $20 extra per Massage. I gave her 18% tip and she was very mad.

It had been several years since my last massage. A friend went to this place a few times and suggested I give them a try. I found them to be friendly and helpful. Be aware, the massage is a deep tissue one. However, thats exactly what I needed. Im a pretty big guy (62 245lbs) but Sunny was able to take care of me. She was skilled, friendly, and professional. The hot rocks were a nice addition, too! Looking forward to my next appointment!

This time, I came to the store for a shoulder and neck massage, and a new masseur gave me a very good feeling. They have alleviated my pain for many years, which is amazing. I really dont feel that much pain anymore. I would like to recommend friends who have pain and want to do a regular massage to come to our store to experience new massage techniques

Went here with a friend.. ladies were nice but even when asking for easy you get very hard hands. I was sore for days after this and never felt relaxed. I felt very weird when I left. Ive had very good deep tissue massages where Ive gone home and feel asleep, not from this place.

Most of the time Ive come here it was a decent massage, but I guess they changed management. Now its bad. The lady I just had now for massage haggled hard over how much tip i should give. Someone should tell them tip is OPTIONAL and its rude and unprofessional to haggle and beg over tips. She held my $20 bill hostage as i simply asked for $10 back. She first said so hard, Im very tired and motions to want to keep the entire $20 bill (because the massage was apparently hard for her and shes tired now so she feels she deserves a $20 tip on a $60 massage). I then said no, $10 back please. She then offers $5 back saying so hard, very tired and i say again $10 please. She finally gives me $10, saying so tired, to which i say, next time Ill ask for a guy which I doubt she understood due to language barrier. Im not that muscular a guy even, 510, 175.The massage wasnt even that good, actually quite bad. I had to remind her to get my lower back. She didnt seem to have any tactile sense, just digging in her elbows anywhere in my back, thinking harder means better. Her nails were rough and she literally was just scratching my hair as part of the massage. Thinking of all the other heads of hair she had scratched with those same rough fingernails and gunk underneath them is kind of gross. I think this is the same lady mentioned in previous reviews with rough sharp nails because at one point i thought she drew blood when her nails scratched my ear as she was massaging them.Im not coming back here again.

I rarely do reviews on anything, but this was the worst massage experience I’ve ever had and first time I didn’t fall asleep. For starters we were asked to pay in advance and this is the first time I’ve ever had this happen. Wife and I went for massages on Labor Day and the masseuse’s talked in another language the ENTIRE massage over the walls. Very distracting and not relaxing at all. She spent over 30 minutes of the hour doing a dry massage and walking on my back. She rubs oil on back of my legs and immediately wipes it off with a towel after about 30 seconds. Lastly, my feet weren’t even touched and she said ok all done. When I asked about my feet she said next time book 90 minutes because your big and tall I spent more time on your back. WTH!!!

I’m a nurse and a mom of three. I was able to call and get in same day for a deep tissue massage. Cindy was amazing! She gave me the best massage I’ve ever had. She also included some insane stretches that felt oohhh soooo good. Based on the price it was such a great deal, thus I left a handsome tip. I highly recommend, and I will be back in.

A very good experience. Sunny and Wendy were too good. One of the best couple massage we had today. We recommend this place. We will return again.

After my sister and I had a hour long massage, we tried to leave $8 cash tip each. We were told there was a $10 minimum tip and that was for a bad massage. She pointed to a sign that showed $10=bad $20-30=good. We left $20 tip each and left. It was so awkward and we felt swindled. We’d been here a few times before and always left $5-$10 tip each time with no issues. I’m not sure if it’s new management but we will never go back.

The ladies were nice but we just were not expecting that type of massage. I thought it was going to be a relaxing kind, they dont specify that its a deep tissue. My boyfriend never had a massage before and he sounded so uncomfortable the whole time and we were soooo sore even when I would try to say it was too hard, they barely lifted the pressure. I didnt know I was taking my boyfriend to get beat up and i felt so bad afterwards. He doesnt want to get one ever again but I would love to have a real massage relaxation spa type not a tension relief type plus he is a big guy so he said it was so uncomfortable and the table was moving a lot and he was in a lot of pain and then they like make you feel like you have to tip big. They just need to make it more clear what kind of massage it is because we just had no idea until it was too late and there werent any other options for types of massages just the level of pressure which was no different anyways when you said something hurt.

Not what I expected for a massage it was more so stretching and rubbing. At one point I was holding on to the table with all my might as she stretched my left leg behind my back towards the right side.Also be prepared to tip 20 to $30!! They have a sign on the door. Massages are 30 minutes or an hour for $40 or $50.They demand the tip at the end almost didnt let me leave she cut in front of me at the door and pointed at the sign . So awkward. Ill find somewhere else to go.

I was taken back right away as soon as I walked in. I requested a 90 minute deep tissue massage and the lady did a wonderful job getting all the knots in my back and neck. They stay open until 9pm daily and they take walk ins which is nice. I will definitely go back again :)

It appears its under new management smh. The massage was horrible back stills hurts. Ive been coming here for a couple years. Use to be great Cindy was the best!!! She massaged with precision we talked about AZ because we both lived there at one time. Now that she is no longer here Im off to find a new location.

I was left badly bruised all over my back and severely burned by the hot rocks treatment (which I didnt ask for). It took several weeks for my burn to heal and has now left me with a permanent scar. I did a little research afterwards and read that hot rocks are never meant to be heated up in a microwave. I was refunded, but am still in shock with the appalling experience I had.

I called the number to schedule an appointment for my fiancé and the lady that answered made me feel so rushed and was rude. The way she talked to me was not professional at all. I believe first impressions are important and they should put more effort into their customer service. Massages might be nice but the way the lady talked to me is why I am not going to them.

A fantastic massage my back is very tight from my work and the way I sleep. The massage therapist knew without me telling her what I needed. She gave me the best massage I’ve ever had. I will be coming back as she suggested to work on my knots.

If you like a rough massage this is the place for you. I am 5” foot tall and my boyfriend is above 6” feet we both agreed it WAS NOT a very relaxing massage. It was very painful the entire 60 minutes. Even when I complained about it hurting the masseuse still kept massaging me rough. Make sure you bring tip money because they expect a $$20 above tip. They will definitely ask you for TIP before you leave. TIP MANDATORY!!!!!!

So I call ahead asking for availability for a 1 hr massage and they said yes come in I get there they make me pay the $60 as soon as I get there the lady starts my massage and 5 minutes in she says I’m going to bring in another person to help the second individual was really rough and I mentioned it a couple times and it continued then they finished the massage and I’m getting dressed I check my phone and see only 30min go by and I stated to them hey that was only 30min they said yeah we used 2 people and I’m like okay whatever as I walk out the lady hands me a water and asks for a tip so i gave her $10 and she says more 2 people 2 people and I said I paid for a hour service your lucky you are getting that!

I was a customer here every week when they first started out. They have a very clean nice shop. Angela is my favorite, Susan also does a very good massage. Why only three stars? Well, this is why- they usually send me on my way when I come here saying they are busy. I have said it before, and I will say it again. It does not matter how good a massage is if it is not available when you want it.

I give this place 3 stars because the lady giving my massage kept leaving the room to interpret for the other masseuse.My massage turned into a rush job as customers kept coming into the building.Then she had her nerve to ask for a tip.Umm, no!

The layout is admittedly weird, but woooooow! The massage was just so amazing. They targeted my problem areas and went at it! Had a full body/ foot massage, and I felt so great after it ended.*** For people who carry stress in certain parts of the body, when they rub it out, you will be sore. Its completely normal though.

Best massage business we found in Bakersfield. I suggest you try a couple different employees to see which is the best fit for you. They are all pretty good and much better then other facilities in town.

I hate to throw her name but Cindy is absolutely amazing, the massage feels amazing when she is rubbing your body with the towel over your body, let alone the oils, the place is extremely clean and its dark in there so all you get to do is relax

First of all I should give this place a zero stars they don’t even deserve because they are unprofessional and also it states there they charge 60 for the message and they asking for tips, tips are optional it’s not necessary to give tip she even got mad cus I didn’t tip her and even if we tip 5 dollars the want more!!! Please don’t go this place

It wasnt relaxing for me, because I asked for deep tissue massage I had soreness and tight muscles, the therapist did a good job by relieve tension from my muscles. Avoid this type of massage if Youre sensitive to pain.

Paid upfront for two 1 hour sessions and they almost wouldnt let us leave without giving them a twenty dollar tip. Communication is poor. Wont be returning to this place. At the end was very stressful and awkward.
