Hotel O Bay City, TX-35

The OYO Hotel was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in.There was only a sheet on the bed, there was no pillows in the room, there was not towels or soap in the restroom.There was roaches and bugs crawling on the floor and walls, and was dead roaches on the floor.The remote control did not work.However, the attendant brought towels and one pillow. And a positive note, the air condition worked well.That was the first time I stayed in that hotel and it is the last for me.

Worst place I have ever seen. The first room we took was so dirty and nasty. The AC didnt work, so we asked to switch rooms. The pictures are from the second room we were given. The toilet was full of feces (picture is how nasty it was after flushing). There was trash next to the toilet. The bathtub had used soap and soap scum all over. It looked like feces spots on the wall. I pulled back a corner of the blanket to find blood stains on the sheets. This place is a serious dump and honestly should be condemned. The only positive thing about this place, is that the lady gave me my money back after I showed her the pics. I wouldnt ask my worst enemy to stay here. F-

When I walked in my room it smelled like garbage, there were puke stains on the wall. When I went into the bathroom there was a cigarette in the toilet. I recommend you do not stay here. We left an hour after checking in. Couldnt handle the filth.

Disastrous! The manager was nice but the owners tried to increase the price by $36 dollars a night after we already booked in on Booking.com, who also did nothing to help! The pool was drained, remodeling garbage everywhere , maybe three rooms actually inhabitable, trashy looking construction workers living there. We had to cancel our entire trip because of OYO India owned dump! Dont go!

Whoever wrote the other reviews was the owner or a freind. The guy at the front desk was rude and stunk. I cant explain it but it felt shady enough that I paid cash because I did not want to use my card the room smelled like mildew and was very outdated and crappy looking the pool is shut down and a big nasty concrete hole in the ground. The picture of the pretty pool inside is closed down glass broke out and scary looking. The pictures on their site do not match what it looks like now. just a warning do not even stop here. It is full of what seems to be permanent residence

Nice people and very friendly. Cheap but great place to stay. Room was clean with all the neat little Oyo pillows and soaps. Full size refrigerator. If you need a long term stay. Great place!

Horrible. Would not recommend for anyone. Roaches crawling everywhere. Bad management as well as the drug activity there. I even saw one of the so called managers “Ron”, produce the drug activity. Bad hotel, needs to be shut down.

Good staff, clean rooms, and informative about the area...there was a guy who said he was new, and my wife and I tried to remember his name, but anyway he was super helpful, and made up feel like he truly cared about our stay. The price was easy on our pocketbook as well. If we were ever in the area again wed stay there.

Sure wish someone would really redo this hotel. You can tell that in its prime, it was a beautiful place. Unfortunately its seen better days. Needs better lighting outside

Disapointed ..i stayed there just a week because it was 10 min away from work but they put me in a dirty room,carpet stank like a hobo,no toilet paper no towels,fridge wasnt cold enough, i told the lady the second day about the issues and she said sorry for all that tomorrow i fixed the problem that day never came so i got out of the room 1 day before the check out and i gave back the card ,and they took the deposit never got it back !!!! BEWARE !!!!!

The most discusting place Ive ever stayed. There are used syringes laying on the ground, nothing is up to code and I would never recommend anyone stay there.. it needs to be shut down then tore down...

The people that go clean the room that live there and Owen a big van went in my car and stole all my jewelry ..stole all my tools that I had just about over 200 .00 . They would never go clean my boyfriend room for a whole month .. and then there a lot of ppl that are drug addicts .. horrible place .. and they say they have cameras and they don’t even work ..

This name is Obsolete and needs to be changed. The correct name for this property is Happy Bay Inn.

I havent stay there yet but think there needs to be a local phone number to be able to get true pricing instead of having to give a date out of the air to receive a price.

Seriously, I wouldnt even give it a whole star.Place is infested with roaches !Was going to use the microwave and it had dead roaches in it. Will never go there again and would not recommend it even to my worst enemy.

Shower backed up, bed bugs galore, staff was dishonest about pricing, maintenance was obviously a dope fiend. NEVER AGAIN

There rooms are disgusting. There are bugs everywhere. Also smells like cigarette smoke.

I didn’t get to stay here no one ever opened the doorI would like a refund

Worst experience! Made a reservation on the phone and when we got to the property nobody ever answered.

BE AWARE this hotel does NOT honor or accept online reservations.

It used to be a good place during outages at STP but the New Owner sucks.

Lets just say Ill be back.
