The Underground Nightclub

A group of us chose this place to celebrate and see a burlesque show. The host of the show was so extremely rude to our birthday girl that we couldn’t even stay through the whole thing. The vibe of the whole place was soooo off. The show itself was all over the place and was more like a burlesque open mic night over an actual performance.

Absolutely appalling. The bouncer and staff of the underground kicked me out of the women’s rest room while I was going in with my friend. After stating I was genderqueer and was more comfortable using the women’s restroom with a friend, they said “well other people aren’t comfortable with you being in this restroom. There are no males allowed.” They continued to ask me to leave the club and called in the bouncer. Out of all the clubs I’ve visited, this has been the least accommodating and most transphobic. Alongside it’s shady atmosphere, avoid this venue at all costs.

Brian is an awesome guy. Hes ran this place for a while now. Always served us lots if drinks even after hours! Cheers

First time for me and I enjoyed the Show very much! Bartenders were great. The only negative I can say is there is not much seating available. SRO made it a bit difficult for this 53 to see the entire stage but I was able to see fairly well for the most part. I recommend not wearing heels for your own comfort.

For a lack of better term, this place is the most sus place ever. Expensive covers, rude staff, not great music. It is a place that allows under 21s in, but it’s a bit weird when you’re dancing with friends and look over to see the over 21 bar area just watching?… PS Someone recently was drugged via their water here. I haven’t really heard good things from people in general about this place.

BELLINGHAM BURLESQUE SHOW ONLY AT THE UNDERGROUND!!!

Went last night with some friends. Hadn’t been in like 4-5 years very different. Bartenders where extremely nice and helpful, the DJ absolutely sucked! He did not listen to the crowd! I even complained to bartenders and they said they where getting a new DJ cause the one they had sucked and just wanted to play EDM mashups the whole time. Even when I tried to request a change up of music he didn’t care. I usually don’t care but yesterday I couldn’t vibe to the music. Everyone was sitting down. Drinks where okay bartenders where light handed. Overall not a horrible experience. Won’t be coming back anytime soon though lol was more bored then anything.

A fabulous place to celebrate a night out dancing. They have some great shows that you wont wanna miss too. The Bellingham Burlesque Show is phenomenal. Next show is Nov. 13 and every other Saturday. You wont want to miss it!

Would of loved to leave a better review. But after arriving there and ordering 2 of the drinks that were on special for 5$. The bartender overcharged me to 15$ for both. After I asked him if these were the drink that were on special he asked me are they?. Then the second bartender corrected him and told him how to ring up the drink and he asked for my card again. Turns out he charged me 2 times for the same drink and one of the times I was over charged. Needless to say I wanted to give a good review but being double charged is not okay.

This is a great place to go have fun relax, play some pool or beer water pong with friends. Also great music and DJs to dance and all around have a great time. cheap drinks that taste great too. and great security team you can go to them about anything and there happy to help.

Wish I could give 0 stars but, I will say the bartenders and security was awesome! But unfortunately I will not be returning to this bar. Nothing worse then being fat shamed on your birthday by the manager of the club! I guess this is a place for skinny people only.

The underground has been my favorite spot in Bellingham ever since I moved up last year. The sound system and lights are by far the best In the city. I would normally give this place a 4 star review but the staff and security are so good I’ll bump it up to a 5.

The underground is by far the best club/bar in bellingham. The security staff is top notch and friendly. They make you feel safe while also not being over bearing. Drinks are reasonably priced, I recomend going on progressive Wells night, drinks start at like a dollar. The crowd is good and diverse a mix of locals and college students.

Im pretty sure I left my ID and Card there but three weeks later and half a dozen calls (and messages) later I still dont know for sure. I WISH THEY WOULD RETURN PHONE CALLS. When your not a local you cant just go to Bellingham any time. I was there at 940 on a Wednesday and they werent open. How are you supposed to get your stuff back?

It was ok. Went one night and it was dead. As soon as we were walking in security was throwing a guy out. They started fighting as we walked in. Drama but it was a club after all. At least its somewhere to cut loose and actually dance in town

Last weekend I talked to this huge beautiful, and very polite man called Big J. He was able to completely change my attitude toward the underground. This is a safe place to party and they have zero tolerance for creepy guys. See you tonight!

I am so excited to hear that they will be hosting the Bellingham Burlesque Show on Nov. 13th. Its going to be so awesome. I love The Underground and I love burlesque. Do not go here!!!! Bartenders are thieves she took $40 from me says she’ll be right back and never give me my drinks then asked security to escort me out . Security the most unprofessional staff there. They need to know their limit before they hurt them selfs acting all tuff because there not. A

Got a VIP with 20 ppl had to continuously kick out over 15 ppl that werent apart of my vip continuously coming in the vip hitting on all my friends and acting rude i asked the security staff to help as i dnt need a bunch of random ppl crashing my vip for my friends 21st bday and hitting all over every female. So apparently me asking the staff to do there job is a problem cause after that the security staff kicks all us 20 ppl out.EASILY THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL CHILDISH SECURITY STAFF IVE EVER WITNESSED whats the point of a vip if u gotta bunch of thirsty ppl crashing your party and security does absolutely nothing...0 STARS

So much better than expectations! The giant bouncer with the curly hair and beads is the best.

Staffing is on top with everything. Music is fantastic as always along with a good dance floor. Be warned that it does get crowded really fast so plan to arrive early.

Its usually a good spot to go to, but i took my friend for her 21st bday and of course she got a bit drunk and they exaggerated and kicked us out! Smh i was so disappointed!! I usually enjoy coming here, but this time i was so unsatisfied!

Been here twice both on Friday nights during “peak hours “ and they were dead both times. Staff and ambiance was great but we went there for dancing not sitting.

Best bartenders and best dance floor. Coolest group of security bro’s. The owner is a great friend of mine and has his stuff together here at the underground.

The security told me to leave the club and accused me of something I would never in life do. The sound quality is very bad too. This club is absolutely no fun. You should not go there.

Awesome staff always making sure its a good atmosphere. As long as you show them respect they show you it right back after all theyre just doing there job.

Hands down the best Club in Bellingham...great dance floor, great sound system and frankly the bartenders are awesome and moving quick... See you there!

Im guessing not my crowd of people been here 7 months tryed this club..twice..wasnt feeling it.if your from the west coast this is the club/bar for you..im more of a down south guy..ya feel me?!!

The sercurity followed me into the bathroom. Talked to me while I was peeing. Then asked me to leave for no good reason. And didnt allow me to tell any of my friends that I was leaving.

I had a blast, the music selection was good to dance to. The bartenders were all friendly as well.

The underground nightclub is amazing. Always a safe place to have fun with friends and the staff is great.

Decent club, usually with cops to keep things calm/level, door watchers and bar tenders are smart, good people.

Its one big Bellingham family, always a great place with great music and staff! :)
