When I’m in Bellingham this is my favorite place to go with friends. Great music, great vibes, good drinks, the drag shows are always a blast and I have always felt safe here. Problematic people have always been promptly removed (much to their dismay as seen in some reviews) but it keeps it safe for other patrons.Support local drag! I used to go every Friday night and they never disappoint 💅🏻🪩🏳️🌈
We hit up this little hot spot for my sister’s 21st birthday on a Sunday for Happy Hour!Loved the ambiance from the second we walked into the establishment! Cool, creative, inclusive, and fun burst off the walls in colorful pieces of decor throughout the rooms of the bar!The bartender was patient and kind with our rowdy bunch of hooligans, and was thoughtful enough to work with us on the music to find something to our liking when we were being finicky! Did I mention that his drinks were fantastic? I think we tried all the specials…the Blue Balls, Starburst, and Trashcan refreshments were superb!! And, our fireball shots tasted just like…fireball! Yum!!We wished it would have been a bit busier, and that cabaret was going on during Happy Hour, but we still had an amazing time! Can’t wait to go back to checkout the late night experience as soon as we can!
The Wednesday night bouncer is extremely rude with most interactions sober or not. I watched him SCREAM at someone to leave and ask if they were retarded for accidentally Almost stepping out with a beer in hand after accepting a call. Yes follow ALL the laws, but you can be nicer about enforcing them; especially when the people are being compliant and apologetic!!!
I LOVE RUMORS. I have always felt so welcomed and accepted anytime I come in. Everyone is so friendly and its very easy to make a friend here. Anyone is welcome at rumors, and hate is not. Shout out to the rumors staff💗🏳️🌈ESPECIALLY RON😭😭💗✨✨
Denied entry because of an empty white claw can in my bag from hours before arriving at the venue because it’s a “sign of intoxicaton”. despite having a lucid conversation and maintaining eye contact with the bouncer confirming the law and why i was being denied entry. multiple times they explained it’s because there’s “evidence of consumption previous to arrival to the venue”, meanwhile my friends who had all been admitted entry confirmed they also had just consumed alcohol at a previous venue.bouncer and manager affirmed its about maintaining a “safe space” - im nonbinary, and its ironic that my possession of an empty can is an indicator that i’m somehow an ‘unsafe’ person for a queer venue. what happened to using your judgement and discretion and advising someone to dispose of an empty can before entry if that’s the law? comes across as aggressively cop-like behaviour and not actually community oriented. i’m from out of town, so maybe i’m just unwise to WA state law’s stringency, but put a damper on my night and also ended it for the rest of my party.tl;dr i have worked in events. i understand following local law and regulations. but i also think there’s a lot of value of exercising judgement on your patrons and gently advising them to act according to the law to prevent the banhammer from coming down on them, rather than using the banhammer up front and making the night awkward and shitty for everyone involved.potential patrons: be on your absolute best behaviour at the door i guess! don’t carry irrelevant recycling that happens to be alcoholic with you!
I love this place. Not one complaint. The staff is fantastic. Every time I went I saw that the staff cared about their customers. They went over and beyond when someone needed help. Good example, I saw a woman being harassed by a drunk man and immediately told staff and they handled that person quickly. No should be subject to that. I’ve been living in bham all my life and there’s no there bar or dance place I would go to. 10/10. Great music, karaoke, Drag shows 2 nights including Friday where they have showings of drag race before the drag show. It’s awesome experience I love Rumors
Hi! I dont get to visit Rumors as often as Id like to (I live SE of Olympia & only get to visit when Im visiting with family - my visits *always* include a trip to Rumors!),but when Im there, its like Im with *family*. Im a disabled woman who travels with 2 small service dogs (who are trained to alert me if my blood sugar is too low *and* to help stop an anxiety attack). From the minute I walk in, Ron the bouncer has made me feel welcomed & at ease. He helps me with any accommodations I might need & checks on me throughout the evening to make sure Im comfortable. The bartenders are fun & friendly, and make *wonderful* drinks, often asking me to step out of my comfort zone & try something new - with *no* regrets! Ill be in Bellingham in a couple weeks, and Im looking forward to *another* fun-filled visit to Rumors during my visit. Thank you so much to the owners who have given us a place to feel safe *and* respected.
What an excellent experience, a light broke so the bartender attended to it immediately, I appreciate their willingness to consider the safety of their customers. I didnt care at all that she took the time to do so instead of serving my drink, and I expressed as much I believe. She gave me and a gentleman beside me free jello shots! Such amazing customer service, thank you.
Music is usually hit or miss most weekends but tonight they had the worst dj Ive ever experienced. Just horrible house mixes that werent actually house, nothing you can actually dance to. At one point, they played the opening to Vampire by Olivia Rodrigo and everyone on the dance floor looked around, very confused and not really moving. Really bummed my friends and I out, we tried getting into it and dancing but the music was just so bad.
Had a blast at this place! So inclusive and such an amazing vibe. Andrew the owner was so lovely. Would highly recommend. Our group were 3 Canadian ladies looking for a good time, we found it here. If you’re in Bellingham check this place out.5 stars
The ultimate of queer spaces in Bellingham. The shows are always top notch, the drinks are expertly made, and the staff are always kind and friendly. I highly recommend going to a drag show and staying for some dancing.
Thank you Rumors for telling me and my friend we were too drunk and had to go home, we appreciate you caring for your customers safety!! I have been to Rumors quite a few times, and as a queer person in Bellingham, your bar makes me feel safe, as the world around me is hateful to people like myself. And honestly, kicking me and my friend out because we had a little bit too much to drink was a great call. Also thanks to the DJ for playing a song I requested! We both got home safely, no one was driving, and we made it home safe! Love your drag shows, and I have been missing out on Karaoke night! This is my most frequently arrived bar! Sorry me and my friend were just a tad bit too tipsy this time, we’ll be better next time! 🥴😁Edit: I hope you all enjoy the cookies I’m sooooo sorry!!!
Rumors is the place to be for a good time!! The staff is very friendly and always makes sure that everyone is safe. Its also great that the bartenders are superr fast and make great drinks. There are two pool tables, cute vending machines, and best of all, DRAG NIGHTS! Rumors, thanks for being the go-to spot in sweet little Bellingham
Came down from Chilliwack for a Girls weekend & Downtown Bellingham did Not disappoint 💚 We were recommended Rumors & did we dance our socks off 💃Just a great Ambience, special shout out to the DJ, the Bar staff & Especially Andrew who looked after 3 Damsels in Distress 💚Andrew your kindness & Hospitality shows in how your club runs. Well be back & Thank you again from the Scottish one 🤩🏴🇺🇸🇨🇦💚
For any and all members of our community looking for a fun and safe environment to visit and spend their Friday nights(or any other night of the week) at; this would be the place. As the only LGBTQIA+ night club in Bellingham they have such a wonderful culture. Focusing on equality and creating a safe and fun environment for their community, rumors has been excelling at that for many years. During the summer I send every Friday and Sunday evening at the bar supporting the local drag community that rumors owners allow to have a space to share their art and stories. The culture and family dynamic they have created for not just their regular customers but for tourist customers. Thank you rumors for being a part of our community as an establishment that is a home away from home for many in our society!
Love this bar so much that I went ahead and applied to work there on the weekends. I’ve been going Rumors since I moved here from California almost three years ago. I’ve always felt so welcomed and accepted. Thank you to Rian and Andrew and all my other Rumors family. Love you all.
Bouncer was rude. Told me I had “too much to drink” when I was not intoxicated. Whole group had already checked into the club, had to pay the cover. Last time I went, they kicked us out because my friend put their head on their hand as we awaited an Uber. Made us stand in pouring rain. I understand not wanting lawsuits on your hands but I’ve heard way too many stories of being terrible to average humans. Not cool.
Extreme prejudice. If you dont fit the image the bouncer is looking for they will reject you for no reason. You would think this establishment is accepting of everyone.... I also just want to add I heard multiple people answer his question wrong and still let them in . When it was my turn he asked a Total different question and didnt like my answer (Which was correct!) so he denied entry. I dont understand how an establishment can be this biased based on your appearance.
Rumors has been a safe place and second home to me for many years. The staff and owners are SO kind and welcoming, especially to LGBTQ+ community members. They truly care and do their best to make a positive impact. Throughout my transition and my drag career, they have shown me nothing but love and support. It’s easy to love it here. We are so lucky here in Bellingham to have Rumors! If youre visiting town or looking for something fun to do, look no further! Get a drink, dance, play some pool, take some cute photos in the photobooth, feel safe to use the bathroom in the gender neutral bathrooms, and make sure to check out the weekly drag shows and support local artists! (They’re really good 😉)
Friendly staff and tasty drinks! Every time Ive gone there Ive been treated with nothing but respect. The bouncer is super friendly and fun to talk to.
Really cool split nightclub/lounge with awesome vibe and presentation. Staff is very friendly and on top of cleanup. As a former bartender I must say that your drinks need work though. The long island tasted anything but... and sweetened lime juice syrup is not a margarita ingredient. Ill keep trying, I enjoy dancing here!
I used to come to this club all the time when I lived in Bham, and I miss the environment and the exclusive vibe that it brings. Staff are wonderful and to be able to have been a part of this club was always so exciting. Rumors will always be there, come to the club and dont listen to what the haters say; theyre just rumors.
Ember thank you so much for your kind service. I really was having a down day and came in I work in healthcare and today was a day! You are amazing as well as the company I was sitting next too as well! 🤩
Im gay, but drag queens should be queens.. this place is a mix of lumberyard and something crazy. Cover for an empty bar is also a poor choice
Huge community feel. Queer as hell. Overall a good time with some yummy drinks! Love coming on slow days and playing pool(:
Even though I dont live in Bellingham anymore, this bar, staff, owners and regulars will always feel like a little spot of home. This place saved my life in one of the hardest times of my life, and I know Im not the only person who can say that
Such a fun, unique, safe space!!! Pool tables, happy hour, drink specials, drag shows, dancing, DJ’s, always a great time!
When In lived Im Bellingham for 15 years, this was our spot. Endless memories of great nights, fantastic music and great interactions with wonderful people, old friends, and new! From live music, open mic nights, drag shows and DJs getting everyone to tear up the dance floor on Weekends and special events. This is a 100% safe zone, and all our LGBTQIA+ family will feel welcome with open arms.Looking to get dressed up and love your Xrtra life.. so it atat Rumors Cabaret!
Rumors is hands down my favorite club to visit in Bellingham. The environment is always friendly and they usually have good drink specials. The drag shows are always so full of energy and creativity. This is a regular spot for me and my friends.
I have enjoyed Rumors in the past but I have to leave a comment now because I no longer feel that it is a safe and inclusive place. Twice now I have been kicked out of Rumors for dancing which makes me seem too drunk or something like this. The first time I literally had one sip of my cocktail and the second time I had had two tequila shots. In neither case was I belligerently drunk, stumbling, shouting, etc. In both cases I was dancing freely, using my whole body, which is the way I dance. I wasnt bumping into other people, I was dancing with friends who know me and who were comfortable with my dance style... I dont grind against a partner, or stand and move my feet to the beat, I dance exuberantly. And this has become a problem for Rumors in the past 4-5 years it seems. I know that I danced like this in the years before that and was never kicked out but now this kind of dance policing seems to be the M.O. at Rumors. There are no breathalyzers given, there is no hard proof that I have been over served. It honestly makes me feel very targeted. I feel like Rumors isnt a place where a person can be themselves, much as it seems to want to be that place. I hope the management will think about this practice and consider whether it is actually marginalizing people. Perhaps, if they still stand by this policy, they can put a sign on the door which says no wild dancing allowed, or something. I cant see myself coming back as I dont think I can suddenly become a more conventional dancer. Its weird. I hope they can do better.
I genuinely dislike bars, and yet somehow Ive had an incredible time every time Ive been here. I suck at karaoke and dance like perhaps my lineage has been tainted by some kind of creature lacking an endoskeleton, and yet whenever Im here, good things happen to me. Rumors is a special place, and must be protected at all costs.
I have lived in Bellingham my whole life and rumors has always had a good reputation. However, the other night I have become aware that it has changed. The employee at the door openly mocked my friends and I for asking why they were requiring facial identifications. The other employee, who may have actually been the owner, spoke to us briefly about it then walked away. I have never been treated so poorly at any establishment. They made me feel like I am unwelcome in my own home. They do not deserve to be in business. Do not go there.
I loved my experience at Rumors! My first experience at a LGBTQ Bar and it was absolutely wonderful! The staff was absolutely amazing and the atmosphere was just so great to be in. Definitely will be back and Definitely recommend! I LOVED the drag shows(also my first drag show ever)!!! If you get the chance, please check them out, you will not be disappointed!
Very respectfully and SAFELY sent me home, something you can really respect from a bar
Safest club in Bellingham, friendly staff, delicious drinks, fun atmosphere. I could go on and on!
Safe welcoming energy bouncer made me a balloon flower on Tuesday
Rumors is my absolute favorite bar. Happy hour is every single day from 4-8 with $2 drinks!! There are pool tables, and a jukebox so I can pick my own music before the DJ starts up. The dance floor is the amazing. Best place to dance in town for sure!!! Such welcoming vibes and very friendly staff. Highly recommend!!!!
I like the way it sounds and feels in there but sometimes the music would switch too fast or it would have a tune progression that was awkward. On other nights they will play full songs, definitely reccomend checking it out if youre queer. There are men in suits watching us from the corners every time but what do you expect from a bumping gay bar. Were hot.
We went to a really fun drag show on Sunday night. The show has no cover, the drinks are good and cheap (though Im used to Boston pricing) and the queens put on a great show! I would come again
Came in about two weeks ago with someone he was told to sit up and we were just vibing ruined the whole mood. A big difference coming from the bars in Seattle, it felt like they were trying to put us in bubble wrap and protect us from the world. It was terribly confusing, besides that the bar was awesome. Great atmosphere, good drink, awesome people. Id recommend, if they were more concerned with people doing backflips or fighting than sitting straight up.
This place used to be great but it’s not anymore. They claim inclusivity and acceptance but they don’t practice it. Furthermore, they were extremely both dismissive and aggressive towards me and a friend earlier tonight and would not give the reason for kicking a friend out, and the manager literally ran away when we asked for the reason. It was extremely prejudiced and goes against the morals and foundations they say their institution is built on. I expected a lot better from them, hopefully they get it together.
If you aren’t here for Friday night’s drag show, you are seriously missing out! Tia Rikki and the crew bring a fun, new show every week that pops off with the best dance party in the city!Rumors is fun, affordable and a safe place for all. Whether you start or end your night here you won’t regret it!
I feel so safe and respected at this amazing queer owned queer safe club
The go to spot if youre looking for the best of what Bellinghams night life has to offer! This place is welcoming and inclusive of people from all walks of life! Drag shows three nights a week, kareoke, dancing, and much more!
Means so much to have a queer bar here in Bellingham. Rumors is always a blast :)
Always fun to dance here. The ratio of guest to bouncers is perfect enough to ake one feel safe!
Most nice and friendly people that works there always willing to help you? Always looking to slinging those drinks and get that liquid courage on but the problem is you dont have Rockstar entertainment there yet karaoke and you have Mondays and Thursdays you know we should just do a pop-up show and do karaoke whatever there so let me know this is made of Dawn and I am that KJ for Rockstar entertainment and wed love to do karaoke there with your bar and next door and the other bar so contact us and get us back or Facebook Rockstar entertainment for all your entertainment needs
Was kicked out of rumors without any explanation. While waiting outside for friends I asked a different bouncer why I was kicked out out. They said I would not have been removed me if were up to them based on the conversation we were having, but had to back their staff member. In my opinion they saw one of the tallest people in there and removed me because it was overcrowded. I have been in situations where I would agree it would be appropriate to be removed from a bar but in this instance there was absolutely no reason to be, compared to the people around.
Rumors cabaret is the nicest, cleanest bar/club Ive been to! Been attending this bar for at least four years and still enjoying the peace here. The bartender Becky is the bomb when it comes to getting drinks made and talking to. I would recommend it 110%!
Bartenders are amazing nice, and know how to party!, always lively never a bad vibe, fun good drinks and never overpriced! YES this is a great place to go even if your straight! Take my girlfriend often, crowd is always respectful, fun, and unbiased. Hands down best place to get down in Bellingham!
This place was great. Live DJ spinning your favorite music, good drinks, pool tables, table top games and grieved staff. 4 stars because when the lines get long for drinks, they stay long. Only one person bartender for the whole club. I see other employees not doing anything but maybe they dont have a bartenders license or something. Would definitely recommend. This place welcomes ask walls of life. Thanks you guys for a great time.
A Fun Queer place to unwind with some of the strongest drinks in bellingham. ❤️🏳️🌈❤️
Rumors is the most inclusive space in Bellingham and has been a safe haven for me and so many others for years. I love dancing the night away in this club surrounded by the most wonderful humans. Will always suggest this club as one of the main night life attractions for Bellingham. Management is extremely considerate and always takes the time to respond to the voices and requests of their community. BEST DJ’s in town!!!
Sad Bellingham doesnt have another choice for a queer bar. Its always a place to dance, but the music is bland, the drinks have gotten way more expensive and way more... icy, still only accepts cash, often cover charge, security can be discriminatory and Id rather not talk about it, Ive been kicked out for being Next to a fight I wasnt apart of, and I only really go when my friends are out. Its a hell of a lot better than the Royal, but its more of a no other choices option. Id love to see it reworked. Support loCal!!1! Nah Ill stay home, rainbow capitalism, soulless christmas music, fake cabaret, etc.Edit: Yeah, music still sucks and they let the vultures in, they apparently take cards now, I brought cash
Great seupt and location, however Id like them to play more daring and unique music, playing 2000s and early 2010s is fine, but not every night, they need more diversity. (Ironic given their brand)
Always an amazing time. The drag show performaces are always top notch
This is my favorite place to dance in Bellingham, I’ve never had a bad time here. The staff is lovely and does a wonderful job making sure people are safe! The drag show is always incredible, make sure to bring money to tip them :)
This is a super fun bar!! They are constantly putting on amazing drag shows, and sometimes the drag performers will even dj after the show on Fridays! Its a great space, thats safe, inclusive, and it always has the best dancing in Bellingham!!
Love this place. Ive been coming here for several years and the staff is so kind and friendly. Any time Ive felt unsafe, the staff was there to help bounce potential creeps. Drinks are tasty and shows are popping! Theres a reason I keep coming back :)
A great bar! Amazing drag shows three days a week, all with amazing artists ❤️ (Every Show is unique in their own ways check them out) Also best happy hour in town! 4-8 everyday, and the staff is amazing ❤️
Barred entry because bouncer assumed we were too drunk. 🤷 Was barely buzzed
Been coming to Rumors for years and the new owners have really cleaned it up! My friends and I recommend Rumors for dancing Friday and Saturday and they even have great drag shows throughout the week. Also, the door people do a wonderful job jeeping this place friendly and safe.
Been going to rumours for 15+ years. As much as it has changed, it has never changed in what matters. Everyone is accepted here, the drinks are strong, and the bartenders and bouncers care. Its a place to make friends and memories. If you go in with love in your heart, you will be be given nothing but love back
Went for the sunday drag event with friends and had a good time, had no problems as a female with front bouncer staff. There were two dollar jello shots going on and some good specials. We enjoyed the show and all the men and ladies and queens. Everyone was really friendly! It had a good atmosphere, bathroom smelt nice. We also got brain hemmorage shots (yum!) And I grabbed a tropical melon slush. All were good but after 3 drinks i wasnt tipsy which I would have preferred. Is cash only and they have donations at the door right now for charity which is really cool.We will go back again :)
I always have a fun time here, dancing and meeting new people, but it’s less one star due to the fact that my friend was kicked out for appearing confused. She wasn’t even allowed to grab her purse or jacket. Turned out she was roofied. Not okay. If you are going to kick someone out, please let them grab their personal effects! So not cool!
This place is not what it used to be. They invited me on stage to sing, then promptly kicked me off and made fun of me to the point of embarrassment. Then tied to kick us out for touching the dancers?? We were actually tipping and supporting the girls... was then bullied by the staff to leave because I touched the dancers... was able to prove we never did. Then said it was just other people we were with that did it, but still forced us to leave. Do not go here.
I was having a GREAT time, chilling out at the Cabaret. Listening to the music, losing myself in the vibe. When over walks some very rude gentleman, who tells me you gotta sit up. No context what so ever, just ruined my entire vibe for the whole night. I was enjoying my evening greatly, but this type of singling out of certain groups is very discriminatory, ESPECIALLY at such a place with the façade they try and promote.
My best friend and I went here for our first clubbing experience and had a blast! We will definitely be back again!
This place is awesome, if you’re not straight you will be treated like family here if you are straight you are welcome here as well as long as you understand this space isn’t all about you.The one downside is the amount of straight people and couples trying to hit on you. The bouncers are really good about kicking people out who do not belong though.
Oh! Great place to hang out with friends. I wanted to dance that day and one of my great friend took me to Rumors Cabaret! They have great musics and the energy was awesome! Cant wait to go back soon.
Management does little for performers and guests. Safety concerns brought to authority within the club seem easily dismissed. Will no longer be coming to rumors because of multiple reports of friends feeling unsafe. Also the music is severely hit or miss.
Went to the Friday night drag show and it was so much fun!! As a lesbian I feel uncomfortable in certain straight orientated spaces so this place was perfect for me! Also the drinks are strong and I love that
Best place to drink in Bellingham IMHO. Its got nicer drinks so its not like a Rainer and Jameson type place. If you are looking for like bartenders with expansive knowledge who are down to throw some voodoo together to fit your pallet this place is the spot.
Usually a great place to meet and super inclusive but tn me and 3 friends were touched and circled on the dance floor. The people were warned but not kicked out. Very disappointed tn:(
Always a great experience here. Lovely staff, big dance floor, kind and inclusive. One and only complaint: the photo booth is too small.
Place is very crappy bouncer obviously has a problem with women. He kicked out my girlfriend for no reason.she was not overtly drunk. She just needed to use the bathroom. Then the bouncer gets an attitude with me and kicks me out for calling him out. He obviously has a power trip. Another bouncer came up to me after I asked him to,he was able to solve my problem and get the people I needed to get out, out.no issues no power trip treated me like a human being and like people should treat people, with respect.Brian whatever his last name is,you made so we will never show up to rumors again. Loved the people and the atmosphere, not the people who have an attitude for no reason
I absolutely love this place!Such a welcoming upbeat vibe right when walk in.Always the best dance party in Bham, for a Birthday or just a random night out.I have been coming here for years and Rumors never disappoints.
The best place in town for some good dancing and drinks. Great jello shots and drinks. The staff are always kind and helpful.
Ive gone three times, ive seen so many people kicked out for having a good time, none of them were disruptive. The female bouncer that runs the front desk is unapologetically rude to me, They closed early and i forgot that you cant take alcohol outside, but you cant yank it out of my hand and laugh at me to your friends, how could i ever come back after that?
My sweetie 55 myself 49 Loved it.The sign we saw stated under new management, and it shows from the last time we visited Bellingham in Feb/ March of this year. The performances were amazing.Like all free shows almost anyone is allowed to perform, be prepared you have performers who show up and then you have the others. For the other its a good moment for getting $3 well drinks or use the bathroom).I was so moved emotionally by more than a few of the performances, I felt connected, it was obvious the real performers put time and effort into there performaces better than I seen on RuePaul itself...I feel the show put on could bring in more revenue if they clear out the others and focus on the ladies who really put on a show.We were both entertained, we both laughed and were silenced in amazementat at one point, we cheered, we joined in on singing along. The show is at 9 pm Sunday evening a little late, but for $3 at the door suggested donations and $3 well drinks, its makes the 9 Pm not so bad....I would suggest this place for all who have an love for true entertainment.Dont forget $ for the performers they come off the stage for gratuity, treat them well and I bet they will contuine to craft there talent for our entertainment.Oh I cant forget the dance floor and DJ so bring your dancing shoes, he plays smooth mixes...Thanks for the show.
This was my favorite place to go in Bellingham before I moved. Its the only place that I had fun dancing at.Make sure to bring plenty of cash for cover charge and drinks! Halloween at Rumors is a really good time as well.
Place is a joke. Don’t go out expecting to dance here they’ll kick you out for being “overly intoxicated” after having 1 drink hours prior to hitting the dance floor. I guess the don’t like a classic running man and someone cutting some shapes on the dance floor. Never thought I’d see a gay bar discriminate.
Twice I have come here and both times received horrible customer service from the bartenders and bouncers. Never have I been to a place where they sigh and eye roll when a party walks in….like ummm ok? Wouldn’t you want a big party for the tips?
Will no longer be coming to Rumors because of several incidents of friends feeling unsafe and management not responding properly/brushing them aside. My friend literally got permanently banned for leaving a negative review after she was drugged and management insinuated it was entirely her fault and guilted her because they watched the tapes. We were truly just trying to let them know what happened and were treated really disrespectfully. Not the way to treat customers or do business.
Rumors is THE spot for fun no matter who you are. Beckie is AMAZING! Love that happy hour- BEST in town! 2$ wells?? Um yes plz. Staff is always professional and the location is conveinent if you wanna bar hop. Be sure to stop by, play a game of pool, load up that jukebox, or stay awhile and dance into the night! Lez get it!😊 Beckie Beckie Beckie Beckie Beckie Beckie Beckie Beckie Beckie
My friend is HARD OF HEARING and the employee said he was “too intoxicated” to enter, because he could not hear what they saying to him and he asked for clarification. His girlfriend proceeded to inform the employee of this and she was extremely unprofessional. He even took out his hearing aids to show her. I called the club immediately and all the person said was monotone “sorry”. I am greatly offended and I thought that this Bellingham club would be more inclusive to the deaf community. I will not recommend this establishment to anyone and will never be coming back.
This is a fun spot. In the early evening there are people playing games, playing music on the bar sound system, others dancing and yes people actually having conversations. Its fun to round off an evening at Rumors with good friends, good conversation, and maybe a dance?
I had such high hopes for this place, the drinks are good/cheap but the music is universally awful most of the time. Best if this is your last stop of the night so you don’t mind the crowds/loudness/music.
I have been denied entry on multiple occasions, the last occasion the police were called. This happened on 1/30/2019 at about 12:15 am. I walked in the business and once again (making this the 3rd time) that I was asked to leave by the female bouncer at the door. On all occasions, I have been sober, including this evening. Calling the police was a complete abuse of power as I did nothing wrong and my only fault was asking for a manager, in which I was told specifically that I would never talk to one. As this being the only gay bar in town, I find it a placed to gravitate, yet I am met with un-hospitality at every turn. I want to know why I am being refused entry in to your business. I feel I am being discriminated against because of my age and gender. She specifically called me old when she called the police on me while kissing all her girlfriends at the door.
Fridays usually better than Saturday for great dance music. Best scene compared to only college bars. Watch your drinks though!
My friends and I absolutely love how large the dance area is, as well as the Friday night drink specials. A safe space complete with all inclusive restrooms, great staff, and warm atmosphere
I feel so safe here and I always have the best time at Rumors! The bouncers can be stern but I have to remind myself that means they are doing a good job.
I enjoy the bartenders and Jell-O shots but every time I go it is either so packed you cannot even dance or so empty that it feel strange to dance. Also there are no locks on the restroom stall doors?
The drinks and music were fantastic. Spent most of my night watching people play pool since it was too dark forme to see much, but I still enjoyed myself.
Cheap beer specials and heavily poured cocktails. Not a bad place for a quick night out. Music can be pretty hit or miss though. I find Tuesdays the best (hard house and trap).
Business had suffered because of covid-19 but saw a drag show, done well. I was entertained.
I was very dissapointed at the decision of the bouncer to not allow my girlfriend to enter. She is not from the US and was not carrying her passport. However, she had two forms of ID, one of which was the official government identification document of her country. She does not carry her passport when we go out in the US anymore, specifically because of the fact that she has never been asked for it during many visits to bars all over the country. After the bouncer told me that they could only accept passports as ID I asked to see a manager. Very politely, I will add. The bouncer said that they were the authority at the door and that they would not call a manager for me. The bouncer said that they could face a fine for allowing foreigners in the bar without the foreigner presenting their passport. I have no idea if this is true or not. However, I will repeat, no other bar has ever expressed this concern to us. In fact, we visited three other Bellingham bars that night and none of the other bouncers had a problem with this.To say the least, I was very frustrated by the situation and embarrassed that this was the impression that my girlfriend would take away from my home, Bellingham. I dont want to assume that the bouncers decision was race-based but I cant really see many other alternatives at this point. There are many laws in our country, not all of them are fair. I would hope that Rumors would take a moment to reconsider their policy regarding this issue and who they choose to hire in the future.
Amazing atmosphere, great drinks, owners are involved and friendly and bartenders are all fantastic. Only place to be if youre going out in Bellingham!
10/10 friendly dancers who made for great conversation, clean club, would go again.
Divey dance bar. Yes, its the local Gay Bar, but its also an amazing place to go out, have cheap drinks, and have a blast! Theres a photo booth, air hockey table, and dance floor.
Such a welcoming little club! I love that they open the garage door and you can drift in and out. Always feels like a safe place.
We were hoping for a fun place to dance on a Friday night. Unfortunately it was all songs from the early 2000s. We kept asking ourselves, what era are we?? Maybe next time. Also their bar is cash only, but they have an atm.
Rude people. Boring atmosphere. Sad music. Staff is incredibly rude and not helpful. Happy hour actually ends at 8:45 dont be misguided. They preach no hate yet no one is friendly. Would not recommend this place.
Don’t listen to the trolls! Great club!
I had a great time. Sunday night drag show was wonderful. I felt so comfortable. Thank you. Ill see you soon xoxo
Great place to meet and have a few drinks with friends or meet new people. Nice bar staff and great prices, If you are looking for a fun place to dance or have a drink, this place is it!!!!!!
Love Rumors! Great atmosphere, awesome service, and selection of drinks is outstanding. Drinks are pretty cheap too.
This place is fun and safe to go and enjoy a drink and music. A bit old and dingy but it all ads to the atmosphere. Age range is broad but predominantly under 30s.
I don’t hate small business and I certainly don’t hate the community. I was treated poorly by management after my group spent over $150 there. A business owner responding to me in this way is despicable. Will never be returning.
We love Beckie. The sweetest bartender ever. I like to think of her as my other daughter. Rumors is amazing
The drinks r good and u could theoretically dance or sit if u prefer. Nice
Tore my ACL trying to get on stage just sing my humps by the Black Eyed Peas.
I have been a regular at rumors for over 20 years they have the best Happy hour in Bellingham great vibe fun staff excellent music safe place to just go be you and have fun
We always have so much fun at Rumors. Staff are friendly and the Cabaret has a great ambiance.
Best club in Bellingham, hands down!! Best music and vibe. Bring cash as they dont take cards... thats the only downfall.
In my opinion, Rumors is the best nightclub in Bellingham.
The most welcoming dance club in town. Having explored the dance clubs in town, this is the most consistently comfortable one.
Absolutely love the inclusive atmosphere, the delicious drinks, and poppin dance floor! Only con for me was it being cash only.
Really fun atmosphere. The bartenders suggest the best drinks and on the weekends the dance floor is poppin!!
Been a few years since been down live all the new changes looks a lot cleaner and more inviting from its past
Cozy club atmosphere. Open and accepting of everyone. Good drinks, dancing. Karaoke, the famous drag (show) races
Best bar in town. Friendliest staff ( Wahoo Becky !!!) Drinks are far superior to other bars and clubs with best prices.
Hey whats up yall is your boy right here Mexico City it was a real fun experience being passions real real dope
Always a great time
They are just reopening as a Restaurant so they can see their patrons again. The staff is taking every precaution to keep their patrons safe while they enjoy the space again.
Good music, drinks are ok, the place is kind of dirty but its to be expected from a small Bellingham club/bar
Always have so much fun here ❤ And the staff is on top of their game and super nice ❤
Stopped from using the restroom here by the transphobic staff. This has also happened to other trans folks in town. Wont go back and recommend to other trans people to also boycott.
Great drinks! They pour them heavy! Great prices and friendly people.
Never feel out of sorts here, always feel comfortable and unjudged. Love this place for a good drink and a good time.
Its really the only place in Bellingham to dance without caring if other people are watching. Feel free to let your freak flag fly!
Charged me a cover, went out to smoke, and didnt let me back in. Scam bar. Sorry for being straight.
Generally good, but there are way too many straight guys looking to pick up girls and it makes me feel less safe than one would hope
Always a great time, good pool tables to!
Love to hang out and chill. Everyone is friendly. The show is truly entertaining.
Great vibes but the music is usually meh for dancing
Very fun place, lots of great people.
A gay themed straight bar.
Great atmosphere, great drinks, and amazing staff.
Cheap drinks great staff friendly environment. And favorite night is drag queen night
Had a greeaaat time, the place was perfect for taking some photos to help promote my partners Instagram.
The drinks arent great but the dancing is! Wish they wouldve kept the air hockey table..
Best DJ in town! Awesome bar. Only accepts cash, though.
They were racist and didnt let my friend in. I thought LGBT bar would at least be friendly? Dont ever come to this place.
Wanted to have fun.Freaky-deekys need love, butDance floor was too weird.
Strong drinks a a good price, friendly staff, clean, always a blast
Awesome place really good music
Becky is a great bartender always smiling and polite to everyone.
I always have such a blast at this place! Great drag shows!
Bartender was really nice and the dance floor is great!
I love going to rumors, the people are chill, the drinks are delicious & the music is poppin.
Best chill club in town wish dancing was available again though soon
Lively and interesting, dont forget to bring some cash for the cover. Drinks are cash only too
I had so much fun. Would definitely go again
LGBTQ+ friendly place with a nice staff and a ton of pride flags.
Go ealry before the drink prices go up, also if you get there early they shouldnt charge you cover.
Best nightclub for the lgbtq community and great for anyone else too.
Great bar. Friday nights are 3 dollar long islands
Bartender doesnt even know how to make a jaeger bomb and the same song was played on repeat for an hour.
Its the most open minded, no judgement passed bar in bellingham!
Its gone downhill. Sticky floors, dive bar, bad djs. Not worth it unless you go for the foam party.
Great atmosphere the dance floor is usually packed!
The drinks are always great and DJ Clint is the best!
Cool atmosphere and some great drink deals occasionally.
Delicious and well-priced drinks, great atmosphere!
Loved the music pre-show but was not impressed with the show.
Avoid if you’re transgender. Segregated ‘trans’ bathroom, manager openly hostile and rude to trans people.
Not accepting of everyone. Was treated rudely. Expected more from a place in Bellingham.
Fun places, had a great time with my husband and friend.
Great drinks, great music, great events and wonderful wonderful people
Amazing bar, great staff and management😀.
Bellinghams alternative club. You dont have to be gay to come here, but it helps.
Love this place! Will be back next time I come down from Canada
Bouncer ruined it for all of us.
Always love going here
Fun place, good music
Mood is like a relaxing party.
Name says it all but great spot to let life loose...
Great music, great people, great drinks!
Fun place to go everyone is super friendly
Drinks are basically straight, bar is not.
When youre here, youre fam!
Not well maintained.. and bring cash. Folks are friendly though
So fun come hang!
Karaoke! Fun and friendly.
Will never go back...
Great atmosphere and great music
Always have fun at Rumors!
Always a good experience there
Great place to go out clubbing
