Hooligans Sports Bar

What a very cool place. They have one of the best mushroom and Swiss burgers I have ever had. The key lime mule is fire. My wife absolutely loved it. Lots of TVs and music playing. Very festive place. Staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. We went here a couple nights in a row and had a great great time, I will definitely be back. I would recommend this to anyone. Want to have a good time in downtown Billings.

Its very much a hustle and bustle bar. Service was spotty, but we finally ended up with a great girl who attended to every beer needed. One server my friends got made them wait over an hour. They got food and drinks, only received drinks, and then the lady admitted she didnt even put their order in. Asking them to close out and move on. If that had been me, Id be posting a 2-star review.

Came in later on a Tuesday night by myself and sat at the bar. Bartender addressed me and talked a couple of minutes told me pizza was on special half off. Ordered that it came out pretty quick, good size, a lot of sauce which I like maybe almost to much but hardly any cheese. A couple girls came in and sat next to me. One was real nice. And that is where the bartender just checked out. Never asked how the pizza was if I needed anything else another drink or napkins or anything. Nice enough guy but he needs to pay more attention to the people sitting at the bar. And the pizza could use more cheese.

Brilliant! Our delightful hostess Brikota guided us expertly through the superb house brews and along with her colleagues afforded the highest level of service throughout. Amazing atmosphere , great food and overall just the perfect venue to rock up in downtown Billings.

Variety of finger foods, center bar, tvs everywhere. Very nice servers, in fact, one server recognized me because early we had lunch at Montana Brewery. Yes, she said I was your server, lol. Next door, I said what!! yeah, both restaurants are connected, food is a little different, and they looked at the menu. And I like said they are all very friendly, the atmosphere is great and in the center they have a small casino with only slot games. It was really different, fun 😁

Nice spot, somehow our mac and cheese was cold and tasted super bland. We had both versions, classic & crab meat. Same for both. The pickle chips and margaritas were really good tho.

Needed to eat after arriving from Sacramento waiting for family to come from North Dakota went to Hooligans to eat and realized they had all all my favorite things food, slot-machines, and Bacardi/diet was greeted by Olivia who served me ,conversed and made me feel comfortable so much when family did arrive we came back to eat at Hooligans 3 more times for the best food and best prices. Thank you

Comfortable place to enjoy watching NFL games. Variety of tasty food & drink. Reuben nachos were unique and delicious. Pretzel from next door, affiliated restaurant was enormous. Relaxed start to the new year.

Ive eaten here many times and usually good. The service wasnt great, they werentreally paying attention with hardly anyone in there. Was given a smaller glass of Guinness the 2nd time. Both times, hubby had to clean his glass due to spilling it.My Galway Girl sandwich was horrible. It had 1 piece of turkey on it, so no meat and not toasted bread and gad zero taste. Its not worth the price I paid for no meat on a sandwich!!

Food was absolutely incredible. Great environment and my friend and I had a great time! Madison was an excellent server and we enjoyed the service. Will be coming back again.

I used to love this place and have been here a couple of times but this time we where a couple of guys from outside the country and could not get a drink because we did not have our passports (Who goes to a bar with his passport) and one buddy did have his and they still would not let him in . And all of us had multiple IDs to be shown it is so unnecessary and gave us a horrible experience you lost a couple of loyal customers.

After serving my swedish friends and I for several rounds, kicked all of us out for not having passports.... Suddenly Swedish IDs werent applicable.

Its okay, food is good but I never really like to eat In a bar, whenever there is alcohol things can get uncomfortable quickly...

Was part of the over flow from the brew pub. Was busy, due to a show but food was good, service was good, its a pub so is loud and should be expected.

Food was almost perfect. The fries were a bit limp, but forgivable. Lots of options for screens and different sports available to watch.

Excellent place. We stopped there at one of our stops, for dinner after a 40 hour drive from NC. Excellent food, friendly atmosphere and the best of all were the girls who work as waitresses. They were always passing by the table asking if we needed anything and they always gave us their beautiful smiles

The food is excellent excellent excellent, large selection of beers and it’s a mostly a great place to watch sports because they have a bajillion screensMy only complaint is that if you’ play in fantasy leagues, it’s a tough place to post up while the games are and it’s busy because the Wi-Fi is spotty when it’s busy, so I started going to Tiny’s instead on game dayBut that’s my only complaint and it’s a small one. 9/10 would recommend.

We had an enjoyable couple of hours watching soccer on the tv. Great service, good beers.

Delicious food and great service! We had the Poutine appetizer, homemade Jameson gravy was the bomb! My husband is from Montana, and he had the Pasty. Really enjoyed it. Said it reminded him of being a kid and having them. Love the atmosphere!

Great pub atmosphere with friendly staff and excellent food. Reasonably priced and terrific beer and drink selections. Have been at both lunch times and evening and always enjoy it.

Had an absolutely terrible experience. Took 20 minutes to just get recognized and menus. Then took 50 minutes to get our food. And the food was atrocious. My girlfriend’s fries were soggy and cold. My daughter’s wings were over cooked and dry, with slim to none sauce. My girlfriend’s daughter’s burger was burnt to a crisp and dryer than jerky. My French dip bun was burnt and rock hard, the meat was dried and way overcooked. To top it off we ordered onion rings instead of fries with the burger and French dip, and each received 5 onion rings for an extra 3 dollars each. Super disappointed. $100 down the drain.

Great place to gather after work. Downtown Billings is known for truly exceptional food. If you are going to serve food downtown, you better bring you A+ game. Hooligans does have good food, BUT they lack the edge that others bring. Great atmosphere.

Food service was really slow and 4 out of 5 meals were cold. We asked if our food was coming they said yes they are working on it. I ask to please make sure its hot. I saw my food sitting on the warm in the kitchen for 15 mins.Then they brought our food and 4 of 5 meals were cold.I was not pleased.. Maybe some people dont care or may just not return . I asked them to replace 3 of the 5 meals. They brought out the food how it should have been the first time. Never saw them after that to see if everything was OK. Then they brought the bill and politely asked if we needed a box. The coleslaw tasted a bit off which I got up to tell another lady. Oh no we need to check in to that. Not concerned that we were served it It would be nice if they would have apologized for the food being cold not make me feel as it our fault.

Best bar in downtown Billings you could ever visit. The staff are wonderful and so generous, as well as knowledgeable. You can order a lot of different stuff, and itll all come out pretty good.

Since we live in the eastern US, we never imagine that Saturday NCAA noon college football starts in the morning someplace else. Since Houligans is a simple walk from the DoubleTree, we arrived for coffee and breakfast at the same time as kickoff. Nice option for a sports bar to serve breakfast. Great little spot in downtown Billings.

I loved coming to this place when I came to Montana. Service sucks and the empty tables echoes it!!

The ladies serving didnt seem to know what was going on, food order was messed up, drinks were delivered but not ordered. Just weird and it was Friday before the busy time. Just felt really uncoordinated and lack of effort.

This place is a bit noisy, food is generally good. I like most of the staff that I encounter, I am not much of an alcohol drinker, very occasionally to the point that I have been asked in an astonished tone of voice you drink? So I get it, but the general crowd to me seems to be far more interested in getting drunk than I, so for that reason, I can feel a bit uncomfortable here. The place is great otherwise, just some of the clientele is not for me.

Wow, they have really good food here. I got the fish and chips and trinity cakes late night via delivery, it was some of the best takeout ever. The pastries really surprised me as far as quality, wow!

Great old school bar with an Irish pub feel. Food is usually good with a decent selection and kitchen is open until 11. Lots of good beer selection and full bar. Always a good staff. Nice fun hangout with beautiful Billings people.

Ive been here a million times but the last few were a bit less than satisfactory. The alcohol is always good but the food quality has fallen off. I understand its hard to get workers with Covid and the lack of financial support for service workers but just as a heads up, they tend to burn the nachos a lot. Service is always good!

Terrible service. Four of us sat at the bar and took 10 minutes to get served with 5 bartenders. Tried to order a second round but all the bartenders were serving the end of the bar. They would just look at us then turn their backs to the front of the bar the whole time. Even the guy next to us said he was only able to get one drink in 45 minutes. We finally just got up and left.

The Best Damn Burger in Billings fits the title. Delicious. Had a great singer playing guitar and singing great music. Well done Hooligans. 👍👍👍

Food was mediocre the night we tried this place: barely warm , skimpy-on-the -cheese pizza ( crust was good), bland mac n cheese. Salad was decent and the clam chowder hit the spot.

Always fun when Ron from the casino takes on as waitress 😀. Food is great, no bad entries and overall a great place to meet up with friends and enjoy the atmosphere

We enjoyed out little experience in Hooligans. Not to crowded and got to do a bit of fun time gambling. Won a little $$ and had a blast. The waitress was Johnny on the spot with free well drinks and very polite. It was a great stopping point after dinner. Thank you all for being clean, polite, and just all around fun.

Whats not to like? The Pizza and Doritos nachos are stellar. Weve eaten here 5-10 times and always been impressed with the quality and service. Great atmosphere on weeknights and before 10:30, this place tends to bump later and on Friday/Saturday. Excellent Specials, great deals, and quality food!

I like coming here. New to Billings but already my favorite place, good beer (Guinness) good food and good company. 🍺 I recommend stopping in.

I have been here quite a few times in the past. Most recently last weekend. Husband and I just wanted a nice place to have a drink and relax. Ended up eating. Food was delicious. Our waitress was adorable and very friendly.

Food was great .they have great fish and chips. Our waitress did an exceptional job .she was there when we needed her and always checked up on us to make sure everything was OK. Will definitely go back.

The girl with purple hair was awesome and excellent customer service. She was slammed on sat. But still gave great service, thanks. Food was excellent!!! Bloody Mary bar was a disappointment, everything was empty. Nothing labeled as far as spices. No veggies except celery

Great food, great service, so many beers that any beer drinker will find at least one they like. A boatload of TVs for many sports programs.

Weak drinks I ordered a jack and coke could not taste the whisky so next round I ordered a double very disappointing. Everyone I was with was very disappointed with the food. They messed up my sons food 3 times in a row we were all done eating when his food came out. All he ordered was naked chicken wings. Then they had the balls to try and make me pay for them. I will never go back.

Server didnt refill drinks charged me for a large fry basket but brought me a small when I said something she said do we have a problem. Made the whole experience terrible. I been setting here since 2007 an will not be coming back. Worst service ever an it was fathers day to boot. Kids an I will not be returning ever an telling our friends not to return. If I could give no stars I would.

Yes, yes, yes. This place is amazing! The Siracha mac and cheese is INCREDIBLE! I love my comfort food and this place does it best. My wife had the wings in their signature buffalo sauce, these to were amazing. Pretty spicy so if your not a spicy person Id be cautious. But we love hot food so we were all in! Must try!

Had a horrible experience here and was a regular until you hired a new unprofessional bartender who harassed me when I asked for a water and insisted I wasn’t ready for a water.

Decent atmosphere. Strong drinks. Good at housing groups of friends. Usually lots of people on the weekends and their happy hour is worth the ride downtown! If the staff was a little more fun, Id give it 5 starts!

Orderd a burger it was missing tomato. Some of the fries still partially frozen and tasted awful. It was a disgusting meal honestly. Thats the last time I get food at the hooligans

Went to Hooligans for breakfast and had Jadyn as a server. Very quick and friendly service and good food! I was also having a hard morning and she wrote a very sweet note on the receipt. It made my day. You don’t find employees like this very often, she definitely deserves a raise!

Easy going with great food in a relaxed environment. You will be pleasantly surprised by some of the dishes here the lobster Mac & cheese is awesome nice chunks of Main lobster in there ! The pork chop sandwich is at the top of my list and there sweet potato fries are next level! Something here for everyone from dinner out , to drinks with co-workers and friends or if you just want to chill and watch a game its here too. Stop in and have a bite youll be glad you did

This is a fun pub with a more-or-less predictable menu and some good locally brewed beers. The service staff was friendly and the atmosphere was upbeat and informal. Nice place to grab a high top and enjoy a drink with friends and/or family.

Went there because of the reviews of them having the best hot wings in Billings. They were good, but they werent hot enough for me, cause I like challenges, but we will go again great place to drink, and meet new people. Also who doesnt mind going to Irish pub to have some fun when the family has some Irish in them. Thanks, and have a good one drinking green.

My favorite sports bar in Billings. Great friendly servers. Good food and plenty of it. TVs everywhere. Prices are reasonable. Lots of craft beers including from the brewery next door at fair prices.

Food was below subpar. Came in with my family and endured the poorest service, manager included. To top it all off, there was a roach in the restroom.

This is the best place in town to watch sports Im pretty sure there are 4,000,000 TVs. Great food and Im pretty sure its one of only a few places in town you can get waffle fries. The staff are very friendly and they actively help support the community with fundraisers, you should definitely support this business.

Took the wife and my son here for lunch. You must try the scotch eggs and the funnel fries. This is a good old irish sports bar with friendly attentive staff and a great selection of beverages and food.

Had the wings and happy hour beer. Highly recommend the honey BBQ sauced option. Sweet but after a while a good bite. Oktoberfest beer was top-notch.

Awesome drinks and specials. Power hour on thursday nights, and they have some really awesome themed parties. Best place to go I think. Most of the crew is really fun here, except some occassional rude bar tenders. I went here with a buddy of mine, and we ended up talking to an out of towner. As we were drinking and taking shots, the guy got sick and ran to the bathroom to puke. While we were laughing at the situation, the bartender got mad and told us that none of us were allowed to drink there for the rest of the night. I totally understand the stranger not being allowed to drink, but my buddy and I were fine. I thought she was pretty rude to embarrass us, and punish my buddy and I for something we didnt even do, as if we were 2 out of controlled kids.

Met some friends for an early lunch on a Friday so it wasnt crowded or noisy. Staff was polite and patient with all our questions and requests for substitutions. Nice place.

Breaks my heart to write this but Hooligans and Montana Brewing company have gone downhill. Women working at hooligans wear lingerie and have their hair dipping in your mac as they bring it to your table, disgusting. Montana brewing company has had roaches crawling on the walls the past two times I have been and the staff is not friendly. This used to be our favorite locally owned spot, very disappointed.

Called to see if they were playing a specific game. Got told they would even though it was pay-per-view. Got there early, game started and then who Im assuming was the manager said they wouldnt pay for it. We already ordered food and drinks and were planning on ordering more food. Waitress was very friendly and apologized for not having the game. Not saying you have to but we were planning on spending money and came to your restaurant, but you could have at least helped us out and played the game.

I was out with a group of friends on a weekday night, it was the only night all of us had off together in several months. The male bartender with super greasy hair and a nose ring was pretty rude and not super great at his job. He claimed he made a good margarita, then said he would use grey goose as the alcohol for the margarita. He was also playing the song “bubbly” by Colbie Caillat and songs of similar style and pace so we asked if he could turn on the touch tunes machine since we had paid for several songs but they never played, and he responded “you’re not the only people here!” (There were five other people max in the bar).

Well... I need to start by saying that I have been a loyal customer to this business for years, and I personally know most of the staff. The staff has been great and made me feel at home for years, and that’s the reason why I came back. Until TESSA was hired and made me feel unwelcome, unworthy, and misunderstood and made that feeling change to you’re unworthy. I called the owner to complain and tried to explain myself... still waiting for an answer three days later

Just had the best mushroom swiss burger EVER! They were busy as hell due to the fundraiser that was going on but they still had great service. Whis I could remember to take a picture of my food to add to this because it would have been awesome

I stopped by on a wing hunt and boy did I find some really good wings. Just the perfect hint of heat and full of flavor. Great service and nice environment.

Great place to watch a game. Good food. Service can be iffy so I always sit at the bar and get taken care of great. Go visit Morgan in the casino bar, she is a great server.

Wasnt impressed that most the food we had was microwaved to keep it warm... But I was impressed with the the sauces and types of food we experienced... Wasnt a bad experience over all... In fact server was pretty good and despite being microwaved the food was good too... Truly was the microwave that brought this down a star...

I a french dip extra to add peppers and onions but what blew my mind was a Virgin Bloody Mary no Vodka and charge $7 same with without Vodka. Greedy Prices

Bloody Mary bar is great. Scotch eggs are well made. If youre going there for a big sporting event, know that they need to put a little work into their projector; its seen better days. Eye bleeding may occur.

Don’t order food to go. It’s way better in the restaurant and even better after a few drinks!

New Years Eve on Saturday their staff noticed I was uncomfortable with someone who approached me at the bar. She passed me a note when I closed my tab (I was prepping to get OUT) I am very thankful for her and the Hooligans staff for being vigilant and trying to help. I will be back (later) because of them.

Ordered the taco salad. Got nachos instead with no lettuce. Husbands Cobb salad had no flavor. Very disappointing 😞

Its a good bar. Though connected to the brew pub you cant order the brew pub menu- even though thats were they will seat you if brew pub is over crowded. I find that a little odd. Otherwise its a great bar.

Good food, wait staff does their job. Getting a drink takes longer than it should, and there is some sort of fascination with stealing bottles of ranch off your table when you clearly arent finished with it yet.

Very disappointed order two pizzas had to bring back (holigans pizza) because it was under cooked. The pie was full of too much green peppers. I took pictures just dont how to attach it . I eat at your place at least twice a month. Not your best

Outstanding engaging employees. Pretty good food. Place should be lively. However, management/owners just installed a million dollar jukebox, and have managed to set it up to produce the sound quality of a $35 GPX Walmart boombox

Was once a good place to have a good time with friends. Once they started adding charges to your bill they dont tell you about, I stopped coming here. It makes me sad to see a good restaurant resort to shady practices.

Cool upscale sports bar atmosphere and the Blarney Mac is the best Mac and cheese ever! I havent been to too many, but this is probably the best bar in Billings.

Probably one of the busier places in billings. I only had a single drink in there; it was kind of loud inside, which is expected. just know if you go there it might be noisy. (Everyones enjoying themselves. 👌)

Sports Bar and Grill. We like Hooligans for watching Hockey. Thursday nights is half price pizza, pretty good value. I normally have their dinner salad, which comes with two breadsticks. If you are allergic to Peanuts, do not go. They have cups of peanuts sitting around for you to snack on.

This is not an Irish bar. Selling scotch eggs and Guinness is no qualifier. It’s sad Montana has such a diaspora yet there is not Billings representation of Irish cuisine. Also we always wait an eternity for service while watching many anti maskers cruise by without hinderance... not a safe atmosphere. PS The bleu cheese is like bleu cheese flavored ranch, no cheese. Basically this place is a COVID cesspool and only good if you want Mac or pizza (go to an Italian place instead).

Shania was amazing! Made my game day. The Bloody Mary bar and Eggs Benedict while watching an early KU v Baylor game was terrific in the game room with the huge flat screen. Loved it.

Loved the bottomless Caesars on Saturday. Great place to watch the football game while in town and enjoy good food!

Guys from my fantasy league and I have tried to post up at Hooligans a few times over the years for drinks, to follow our fantasy teams and place sports bets on our phones, but when it gets busy the wifi there is so bad that we couldnt connect to the ESPN or Sports Bet Montana websites, so we stopped going.

Food was good but service was not we waited almost 30 minutes to get our check and did not get one refill on our drinks 😥👎

I got there and very nice staff but got one drink and that was it. Me and a friend played pool and never got a drink again. Pretty sad you spend 16 dollars on 2 drink and thats all you drink. Had 4 to 5 hundred to spend and cant get a second drink. Pretty sad never going goijg back again

Service and accommodations great but when I received my nachos with jalapenos they just took them off and just sent back out. What if I asked for specifically for allergies?

I enjoyed my visit, sometimes it can be a little busy but they do have a good amount of seating around the bar and as well tables. They have pool and TVs for you to enjoy as well!

They dont honor the coupons that they have out. I will not go back and reccomend that everyone stay away. They dont have any integrity. Very poor business. This is why businesses go out of business. I hope they loose all their customers.

Hooligans always has a fun crowd, every game is on multiple TVs, excellent bar food and excellent staff. My favorite is the Bat out of Hell burger which has cheese that runs off the side of the burger and surrounds the burger with fried cheese.

Took my in laws here for lunch yesterday. Ordered a cowboy burger and absolutely loved it. Staff was great and courteous

Great food and service, I will say I felt incredibly old there. This is definitely a younger crowd atmosphere.

Try the Scotch eggs, pretty tasty. For an irish pub it was a little disappointing to see the only dark beer was Guinness.

Typical bar food. Usually busy and can be really loud. They have a good breakfast/brunch menu on Saturday and Sunday.

Enough TVs to satisfy any sports fan. I like to do lunch on Mondays during football season, and enjoy the great food & watch the highlites of Sundays games. GREAT SPORTS BAR!!!
