Shelby was awesome. She was attentive and checked on us several times. Had the chicken fingers and fries and I had the chicken bone in wings. They were a great size and sauce was good. They had some low carb beverages and they were delicious.This place doesn’t accept Military discount.

I was in Bowling Green, KY, for one night and wanted to go to a place close to the hotel to watch a game, enjoy a beer and have a bite to eat and I came to Hilligan’s. I chose the spicy chicken wrap along with a small Caesar salad + a beer; it was all good!

Typical college bar located within walking distance of WKU campus. This establishment has two bars, a patio area, full kitchen, makes pizza, dance floor, booths and tables for dining in and a pool table. I have not tried the food, but I saw a few items and they looked good. If you go Thursday through the weekend be prepared to see the college crowds. The staff and managers were friendly, had good drink deals and a dj was there about 10. Also, if you go at night be prepared to show id as they check and will turn you away (witnessed it). I will go again and try some food, but I will probably visit during the early hours and leave the night hours to the college kids😊.

I ordered sweet potato fries with marshmallow. The food was cold when I picked it up and no marshmallows at all. I stood 5 minutes to finally get my food and I had to stop a guy to ask for it. Its like no one working there. I will never return

I had the bourbon molasses wings and they were absolutely the best wings Ive ever had. The restaurant was a great, typical college town sports bar. The atmosphere was good and service and pricing were excellent as well. I would highly recommend Hilligans when visiting in Bowling Green Kentucky.

Way overpriced mediocrity. While bar food in general might not be considered top level fare, it should at least be appetizing and compliment your drinks. The food at Hilligans is reminds me more of what you would expect at a slop trough buffet like Ryans--albeit much more expensive. They also love to overcharge you when the check arrives. I guess they figure that people having a few drinks arent going to notice until its too late. There were 5 people in our party and not a single person was happy with their experience.

Amazing bar!!! Kayla and Shelby were especially helpful and delightful! Laid back atmosphere, wonderful staff, incredible prices!!! I will be back!

It’s been far too many years since I visited this place and the pizza was so good! I’ve already had some delivered since my visit last week. Glad to find this place again and plan on making it a regular pizza stop.

Open Sunday afternoon. We were starving and the food was really good. Server took good care of us.

I stay right across the street, I order carry out quite often and always tip. This is what I get for $5.49 the chili con quesochili was literally cold by way.Guess this is what we get for tipping good 🤷‍♀️🙃

Bartender absolutely shorted me on the pitcher he gave me a 2/3 full pitcher once and gave him the benefit of the doubt gave him another chance and he did the same this bartender shorts customers and does not deserve a tip also his tattoos are lame he is not ftg

Stopped by on a Monday night to grab a beer, something to eat and watch the game.The wings were good, the beer was cold, and the staff were great! Especially Emily, the bartender. She made my night! She is one of those people that can make me, as an out-of-towner, feel welcome and like shes known me forever!Thanks to Emily and the whole staff there! Employees are what makes or breaks a business. Yall definitely made my experience there great!

Love this place!! College town yes, but we the parents are at WKU dropping off or visiting our children and this is walking distance from the hotel on campus. Great staff and great service.

I absolutely love Hilligans, they have the best drink prices and happy hour in Bowling Green. My friends and I have always been pleased with Hilligans--especially their front porch, which is perfect during a warm summer day for enjoying the delicious food and beverages they offer.

Placed an order last night, not only did they forget to include half of our order. The tacos were so burnt the shells were literally black and the chicken sandwich was a cut chicken strip on untoasted white bread with nothing else. I immediately requested a refund and ate none of it. I would be embarrassed to send out food of that quality, very disappointed that we paid any amount of money to this establishment.

First off: LOUD. Ye GADS. When we came in during the evening there was a deejay who was playing country music... but only playing about 60-70 seconds of each song, just enough to get the crowd singing along with the chorus before immediately shifting to the next song. For the entire length of our meal. Bit weird, but okay? Thankfully, we were out back, so our eardrums escaped mostly intact.The individual-sized pizza was tiny, but EXTREMELY tasty. The burger was about what youd expect at a really good backyard barbecue. The club sandwich was just fine, and the mac and cheese was excellent (real pasta, real cheese, not boxed stuff). The chicken fingers were very flavorful, if slightly overdone, and the fries were clearly hand-cut, with good flavor and excellent texture. The waitress was wonderful, attentive and friendly.A solid off-campus dining experience, all told.

I must disagree with some of the other positive reviews - this place was awful: service was horrible, nasty restrooms, kitchen help behind the counter handling food no gloves on wiping their nose and running their hands through their hair. I asked for a grilled chicken sandwich, I may be had three small pieces of chicken that possibly could have added up to 1 oz, I am serious, some lettuce, a sliver of onion, it was all bad $18.78 for an iced tea and a sandwich w/a side salad. I have eaten in this town for years.... take yourself over to Cheddars or any number of other establishments and get great food, great service, better prices elsewhere... but, dont stop here!... its been an hour and 10 minutes since I posted this review the first time I have a serious upset stomach and feeling very nauseous!

Just came here to pick up some food to go - everywhere else near our hotel closed after 10pm. Food was fine, typical bar food.Seems like a fun college bar tho. Im way too old for that but I could see it being a wild place during the school year.

Typical college bar. Thursday nights are hit or miss. I had a good time. My date didnt. My waitress was pleasant as always. Bouncers are very respectful and mindful. Highly recommend the nachos with extra jalapenos.

Trevor was absolutely amazing! He gave great service, has a wonderful personality, and was all around a great time. That man deserves a raise and more! 10/10 would recommend!!

We ordered ahead but when we got there they hadnt made our pizza. I guess the ticket got lost. When I went in to pick it up I was told that and they got right on making it. We took it Togo so not so sure about the atmosphere.

Comparably cheap drinks, good atmosphere but Ive never had beer this stale before.

You have to try the pizza. Recent remodel looks great. Outdoor patio seating. Stop in for lunch, Billiards or watch the game on TV. Friendly service. Great neighborhood atmosphere. They dont deliver but call ahead and theyll get it ready. Dont miss this place.

This bar is sooo much fun. The staff are friendly, attentive and always smiling. The pizza is awesome and don’t miss the patio on a sunny day as we had a blast. It’s a college bar but people of all types and ages go there so everyone in my group felt very welcome. You have to check this place out as it’s the best bar in Bowling Green!!!

Not bad. The food is mostly pretty good bar food. Its gotten better over the last year. Drinks are a little high, but if you stick to the special of the night, its reasonable. Frat and sorority crowd on weekends and during sporting events. They can be loud and annoying. But if you go during the week, its a good place to hang out and have a few beers IF you live within walking distance. The outdoor seating is nice when its warm out. Service is hit or miss...depends on your server.

We sat for half an hour with no server before we were finally able to stop someone. Once we had a server she was great, but had to leave soon after. She closed our tab and we never got another server. We wanted to order more food but no one came so, since wed paid our fist tab already we just left. So, if you go here beware, you may not receive any service.

This was a nice establishment, friendly staff. Unfortunately their CO2 was not working appropriately and we could not get any draft beer or soda. We aren’t from the area and were looking for a sports bar to watch a game at. Food was fine, but not great.

Went here for dinner while passing through the area. It was within walking distance of the hotel. Near campus. I could see it being a popular spot. Typical cheap beer specials you would expect in a college town. I think I paid $5 for a pitcher of Shiner Bock.

The food was great, the waitress was very nice and drinks was awesome. ..BUT!There was a bouncer that let the power do to his head. Getting smart with a few of the ladies in the group with me as well as cutting up a legit license in front of us. I wouldnt go again unless he wasnt there

Very popular college sports bar. Open for lunch and dinner and a good place to watch almost any sport. Decent bar food and a pretty good thin crust pizza. They even deliver to places close by. Drinks are cheap and they have great outdoor seating. +KenoGreat during the summer! Can get a little rowdy during school months on weeknights and weekends; but good for dancing.

One of the most lively place in bowling green. The best thing about this place is really close to campus and a great place to hangout with friends in weekends. Sometimes its over-crowded and you may have to wait for a while to get your food and drink. Still, waiting among teens would always be fun. They make cocktails n pizza very well. Best time to visit is weekends.

I didn’t care for the people bringing their pets that ARE NOT SERVICE ANIMALS to a food establishment. So that’s why I gave 3 stars

Great college bar. We were there after a wedding with some of the grooms college friends and had a blast. The bouncer did hesitate due to out of state IDs even though we were all clearly in our 30s.

Me and my husband had a night without the kids and decided to visit here. Ordered the boneless 15 piece basket and two margaritas frozen. One of our margaritas was filled with compete ice and the other with little ice had to keep mixing the non ice one with the complete filled ice one now both taste like water!! Wings arrived server never asked did everything look good or anything! Wings were not fully cooked manger did make things right at the end though. My husband never complains about anything and he was beyond disappointed and never wants to return :(

Ordered 24 wings to go, 12 spicy mustard 12 bbq recieved Terrible service from bartender when he handed me my order they had put both flavors of wings in the same container so of course the flavors mixed and it was gross. They werent even boneless wings its boneless bites and tasted like Tyson brand fresh out of microwave. They whole bar was filthy I will not be returning to this dive bar.

Spent 15 minutes waiting for a server. More than one server looked right at me and kept on walking. Im giving two stars because Ive previously had good experiences here. Maybe its just the night shift that has service this poor. I said to hell with it and left.

Its not a bad place if you want to be in the middle of college life, but it is a little too crowded for me. From 10:30 to close (2 pm) it is hard to walk around or get a drink. If youre going out just to get a drink or two this might not be a the place for you.

Outside seating is cool, but other than that, I think its just the fact this is the only place in town that doesnt close by 10. Service was super slow and drinks were pretty weak and in like an 8 ounce cup. Didnt see the worth for my money.

This is truly great spot. They have everything a young professional could want. Great pizza, wonderful and creative bartender, outdoor seating, pool table, big tv’s, etc. Nick Narrmore does a live DJ event there on Wednesday nights and it is truly amazing. Grab some bud head on down for brews, pizza , and DJ nick nasty next wed.

We waited almost an hour for our food and it came cold and clearly it had sat for a while. There was no soup with my grilled cheese and we were not given our drinks.

Food and service was decent. Why are there so many guys walking around with ‘security’ shirts on and wanding patrons while they are already seated? Guessing this must be a high crime area. We won’t be back. Freaky place.

Waited on a waitress for like 15 minutes to come get our orders. nobody came! had to go to the bar ( noone at the registrar) to order and even there i had to wait like 10 minutes ( even after calling the waitress couple of times). not to mention the food took forever to arrive. nobody even came to check on us or bring the bill. had to go to the cashier ! didnt find anyone! had to go to bar and pay there!while waiting outside for few minutes and talking to friends , this waitress comes running and saying you have not paid the bill! and i had to argue nicely that i have, she had to go check again!where was she the whole time!makes me feel like all all that matters is my cash!or maybe just because i am an international student i dont deserve to be treated like other costumers!i really dont know! but for two years i have been coming there and i dont deserve to be treated like this!bye Felicia!

College bar. Service isnt the quickest, but they provide water bowls for our four-legged friends. Drink specials arent amazing, but you will care less as the night progresses. Large jenga set provided on the back patio for entertainment.

Still fun even during the summer with less people. Reasonably priced drinks (get there before midnight and some popular ones are only $2). Unfortunately they promptly turn the lights on at 1:30!

There is a critical limit to the number of bros that this place can house before it becomes intolerable regardless of all its other good qualities...so beware ha. Besides that when its quiet its a nice place to hang.

Hilligans being the go-to bar for Hilltoppers (WKU students) is rather average besides their food. The atmosphere is typical of that of every sports bar youve been to.It gets too crowded when college is in season and the bartenders arent always conscientious or concerned of their surroundings and patrons. This place gets so packed with tons of debaucherous college kids that its slightly nauseating.Under the guise of Hilligans this bar has nothing unique or anything that distinguishes itself as a marker of the local culture besides a name alluding to the University thats just up the hill.If youre a regular Joe youll be satisfied but for those who arent satiated by the painfully average atmosphere go elsewhere.

I only had appetizers & draught. It was great. Not one single complaint!

Its location near campus makes this a college student hotspot. When its not too rowdy, Hilligans is a fun place to hang out with friends and chat over pool and food. Especially during their Sunday food & drink specials.

Its definitely a sports bar. Keep in mind everything is cooked in a conveyor style pizza oven. Get the pizza. Locals and college students. Pool tables and juke boxes. Feels like a neighborhood joint.

They have really good wings here, but I tried calling today around 2.45 for like 10 mins and kept getting hung up on. We only have 30 min luch breaks and this was a true disappointment.

Just walked out after receiving my food and drink… was greatly disrespected by the security personnel which had just come on shift for not only carding me after my server had done so, but interrupted my meal and bid me to stand up so that I could receive a half-assed wand/pat down!!! Complete disregard for common courtesy…

A fun bar that is iconic to Western Kentucky Universtiy. Alcohol is well priced and the chicken bacon ranch pizza is a classic.

Great memories. Used to go here every day and get slammered before class, then drunkenly stumble back up cherry hill so i could make it through the mind numbing classes without gouging my own eyeballs out.

Only place to dance in BG. Really good CBR pizza, rude rude rude staff, and a funny smell.But hey, barstool top bar so maybe things are on the up and up.

Hilligans honestly should be sued for a violation of civil rights after asking for an ID from all men and refusing to ID any women, even those we all know are under age. I can promise I wont be back and will make sure I spread as much negativity about the awful way this place is run for as long as I can.

Awesome place to grab a drink and watch a game. They support th TOPS and the Preds so that’s a win. Been popping in for over a decade since I was in college and it just keeps getting better.
