Pool players 10/10 respectful on a Friday night. Cheaper drinks. Comedy shows. Great place overall

We stopped in for a drink and was pleasently surprised. The outdoor space is very nice and relaxing. We ordered a pizza, they are small about 8 inches. The drinks were very good and I wouldnt mind visiting again.

Thats the way a good pub has to be. Good beer, pool billards and - most important - steel darts. Ok, the dartboard should be renewed soon, but we had fun playing Mickey Mouse and finally 501.

My new favorite bar! Jeremy was great! They didnt have the pineapple cider I was looking for so the bar tender gave me a shot of pineapple juice to make up for it. The back room will be great to see comedy next time.

Ive been a few times this winter and granted its only been on Thursdays for Trivia, its always a great time. The bar is always very clean, not overcrowded, nice bartenders, the trivia host is a star. And maybe most importantly the other patrons are usually chill. Just a fantastic, normal neighborhood bar. In the best way possible!

Halyards is a great, local spot.We just hosted our wedding party at Halyards, and the whole night was so much fun!The bar is low key. And I really appreciate the flexibility, and the autonomy that we had over the space--from decor to music to catering.Shout out to the coordinator, Edward, and the amazing bar staff! If youre going to an event at bellhouse this is the place to go after!Nice seating and roomy. Has multiple areas to hang out and regularly promotes local comedy (at your own risk!). But its in a separate room!Theres a really fancy outdoor space too. Staff is always nice. Lots of tinder dates during peak tinder hours: 5-9pm.

Ive always loved this bar. Sucks Im not closer. Good staff great people. Didnt try the food yet so wont give a review but pretty sure it will be awesome

Fav neighborhood bar. Relaxed atmosphere with elevated, nautically inspired surrounds. Really appreciate the sound absorbers on the ceiling so you can actually hear each other talk. Good cocktails, beer, and Table 87 pizzas, if you want to nosh. This is where I go to meet friends nearby.

On their menu, it says that the wine is $9 and on the chalkboard by the bar, it says the beers are $8. I bought 1 glass of wine and 1 beer, expecting the tab to be $17. I give the bartender a $20 bill and he gives me back $0.50 change. I asked, how come its not the prices listed on the menu and on the chalkboard? He just shrugs his shoulders at me and walks away. It was definitely a frustrating experience that they wouldnt honor the listed menu prices.

Love that place, service is great, bartender is super nice and pro, wasn’t too crowded but the ambiance was very coolThere’s a pool table, darts and pinball games, didn’t get the chance to play but hopefully next time

Excellent drinks, atmosphere and service. Love coming here post bell house show, or a weekend night to play darts and hang with friends. Good for a group or just by yourself for a nice drink on a weeknight.

I dropped in tonight for the first time for Game of Thrones watch party. They draw a nice crowd and provide screens in the front, back, and middle of the place with good sound. Fair price on drinks. Decent craft beer selection. Impressive service considering only two bartenders were managing a crowd of 100-150. Plus a pool table in pretty good shape and a dart board in, well, less than good shape. Definitely coming back.

The staff here are excellent! Friendly, proficient, and professional.Great folk that perpetuate an atmosphere of relaxed, casual, cool, that washes away the stresses of a hectic, busy day.A great place to meet with friends to catch up on current events, or to just enjoy some refreshing libations and reflect on the days activities.No groups of flashing TV screens, or canned B.S. pop chart pap here. Live, local Jazz on some nights, funny local stand up on others.Love to drop in whenever Im in town.

My go to neighborhood bar. We live around the corner and we feel right at home. Great cocktail, awesome service, and great snacks. The music is always quality and loud enough so we can hear it but also communicate with each others. Love the place.

We saw the reviews and chose to drop in for late-evening drinks.Walked in, seated ourselves and ordered drinks and food at the bar counter. Good cocktails and they had Guinness on tap. Made us a good margarita pizza (they had run out of the other bites, think it was comedy night at the back for they seemed busy), thin crust and fresh ingredients.Would recommend a visit, if one is in the area.

Theyre doing a great job with their outdoor seating area. It felt energetic and buzzing, but totally safe at the same time. They had AMAZING tacos set up from neighboring restaurant Palo Santo. Seriously so good. Lovely vibe and great experience.

Really comfortable neighborhood cocktail bar. Its quiet enough that you can carry on a conversation but not like, eerie quiet or anything. The staff are all incredibly friendly, and make excellent, very strong, simple cocktails of the old school. Theres a pool table and darts, but it doesnt feel divey at all. This is a welcoming place to chill.

Chic, hip bar. I went there late in the afternoon and there was not much of a crowd. I imagine the Halyards is a lot different at night. The entire space has a clean, sharp design to it. Prices were not crazy and they have a happy hour. There is also a billiards table in the back room. Definitely a hip crowd. Bartenders were okay not great.

My friend and I went as part of the NYC Tippler program and this place had the BEST cocktail (Rosemary Gimlet). So refreshing and bright, we ordered a second round!

Great bar. Met a friend there for a birthday. Perfect spot for a causal gathering. You can reserve tables. Good bar food. Reasonable drinks. Pool table in the back. Kind of an awesome bar. It gets crowded, but has a low-key vibe.

Halyards has done a great job changing and adapting to the times. Their “dockside” seating was really enjoyable throughout the summer and fall (especially at sunset), and they have been turning out a great selection of cocktails to match each season.

You had one job. The game of thrones season 8 premiere. And you failed. Sound was terrible, couldn’t hear dialogue, poor planning on the part of all involved. Bartenders were great, but what an utter disaster. Never come here to watch anything timely or where sound is important. Seems like a fine bar for drinking, but not for watch parties.

We went to Halyards after escaping a dark and disorienting experience at the Bell House around the block and it was a really lovely little place. I ordered a glass of wine which was a little boring of me because they had a nice drinks list. Everyone in our party got a cocktail of some sort and everyone was happy...Until we asked the bartender to open two separate tabs for our group of 10 people. Granted he was alone and clearly overwhelmed but he basically ignored us for the rest of our time there. I had asked him to bring us a little plate of prosciutto and cheese which they had as ingredients on grilled cheese sandwiches but apparently it was a little too much for him to handle and he was really unpleasant about it. There should have been more than one bartender on a Saturday night and they really could do with being more accommodating to peoples allergies and food preferences.

I really liked this place and have brought plenty of people here, but one bar staff was rude and ruined it. Sadly thats what people remember. Wont be spreading the word or bringing anyone here in the future. Tons of other great places close by.

Solid place, interesting and mixed crowd, good beer selection (less than ten draft, but good options). Cocktail and food options. Live music, comedy, karaoke and pool all in different rooms. Yummy pickles.

Went in with only four ppl in there. Asked to see the menu. The menu was thrown on the bar in front of me and the waiter turned away. I can see if it was busy so the bartender was rushing to serve other customers. But nope the other four ppl were in the corner having a conversation.Thanks but no thanks, Ill pass. I literally had to laugh and walk out.

Great spot on 3rd ave and 6th street if you’re looking for a small spot with a pool table and good music. Cocktails are decent but the bartenders are super friendly. Good Vibes

Super solid and relatively good price. Very great neighborhood spot but not going to blow your mind. They have weird shows in the back too if you are in to that.

Bizarrely daytime active bar. Had at least 7 people in it one day at about 2PM. Must be all nearby workers’ liquid lunch go to bar.

Everything a sensible person would want from a local pub. Reasonably priced drinks, great snacks and music. Don’t pass on the nuts.
