Music is great, location is good, drinks is great, but as I always review other places who doing the same thing. I hate it when a business put minimum 20% tip on their screen tab. Where is the 15% and 18% tip options go to ? I know there is custom tip, but having your bartenders holding the tab n tipsy people we wont have any time to press custom tip.We are all struggling in this big city called New York, lets bring back that 15% minimum tip not 20%.

Might be biased since I met my partner at The Rosemont 5 years ago! We love the happy hour, the fabulous drink specials, fun banter with the staff, regulars and tourists! The karaoke, drink and draw and fun pop up events are fantastic pre-party events! Thurs-Saturday nights are legendary if looking to dance the night away with a dynamically eclectic crowd! A must visit if you’re looking for a welcoming queer space with great drink prices, vibes and a backyard!

Recently visited this gem in Brooklyn and was thoroughly impressed. The vibe is cozy and welcoming, making it a perfect spot for unwinding after a long day. The staff were friendly and attentive, contributing to a great overall experience. Drinks were reasonably priced and well-crafted, with a nice selection to choose from. Its refreshing to find a place that balances a laid-back atmosphere with quality service. Definitely a must-visit for anyone looking for a chill evening out in the area.

Got my phone (which is also my cardholder) stolen out of my purse here last night; it is not a safe space and apparently its been happening a lot because there was a guy in the exact same position as me outside talking to security a couple minutes after I realized my phone was gone. The manager said he would contact me after and never did.

Terrible service, the barter stole my money. Even though I repeated that I would leave him a 10 dollar tip for selling me two drinks that he simply gave me at the bar, evading the law, (because the tip is voluntary, not an obligation), I would gladly leave him 4 dollars, 10% for two drinks that he even served skillfully. He took my card and without letting me make the transaction and even with my denial and without authorization, charged more than 20% additional. it was a robbery. and the managers, me filing the complaint... did nothing.

Love coming here during happy hour and enjoying some drinks. Great community and regulars that come welcoming everyone into their little community. Def would recommend to anyone seeking a queer safe space and community.

I used to enjoy this bar. Not anymore. The environment is toxic and hostile. One of their drag queens, Merrie Cherry, attacked me and my friend with a cane purposefully during her performance then she threw a tamper tantrum and knocked off the cups from the bar. When I talked to manager he didn’t seem fazed by it at all, as if this happens on the regular. Unbelievable. They’re putting their patrons in danger letting unhinged people perform at the bar. It is not cute for anybody to act like this. Then the manager offered a single shot on the house to make up for it. A single shot. As if that makes it ok for their drag queens to attack their patrons. Will not be coming to this bar again and will advise others not to as well.

Best Gay queer Brooklyn, in amazing parties at night and fun social events at happy hour. Drink and draw hosted Greg is favorite and Glace Chase never disappoints for bingo on Sunday.

Super fun gay bar! Great shows during the week and packed dance parties on Friday and Saturday night. Staff is inviting and fun and the crowd is a refreshing mix!

A gay bar for queer people playing queer music and dancing! We went on a saturday, loud and a bit too crowded, but there was so much energy, people were generally friendly and carefree, drinks were decently priced ($11) and bartenders were friendly. Came here for the “Rae” convention which stated it was free online… $10 cover at the door cause these mfs are “greedy.” 0/10 would not vote for. Ruined Carly’s, Addison’s, and Tate’s name. 👎

My Iphone got pickpocketed last week July 27, 2024. Someone elses phone was stolen too.

My partner and I were trying to have a nice night out for the first time in a while. We loved the atmosphere, the drinks were good, and staff was friendly enough. Then we realized their phone got stolen. It wasn’t just us, we shared such an intimate moment with other people who had their phones stolen too 🥰😍. Instead of trying to take action against an ACTIVE PICKPOCKET the staff just shrugged it off saying “it happens all the time” and the bouncer made condescending remarks about the situation. If you’re looking for a place to waste your money, get robbed, and be tossed aside to keep the party going, this place is for you.

So sad to give 1 star, but I also had my phone stolen here. Staff was apathetic and there are rumors that the staff is involved in the many thefts and pickpocketing incidents that go on here often. (Check the other reviews) It’s shame because the atmosphere is nice and I wish we had more safe spaces for the lgbt community. They need to shut down the thefts and I will come back!

This is my favorite bar! They always have the best music to dance to. The small size makes the dance floor quickly feel full but never overcrowded. There is a lovely large back patio great for getting fresh air, having a smoke, and chatting with friends. They have a number of engaging events throughout the weekdays and great parties on the weekend (my favorite is the Zoo). Usually only a $5 cover. The drinks are cheap! Love you Rosemont!

My phone got stolen here along with three other women on 7/26/23. I politely reported it stolen to a bartender and was met with so much hostility. I went outside to commune with the other women and was spoken to by the owner. They had the same experience from the staff of being treated like rude and oppositional while we were all trying to get home safe. All of us loved the Rosemont previously and had great experiences. We were all so disappointed to be treated this way after being robbed. While the owner was kind, 3 male presenting staff members belittled us like criminals.

Did the drink a draw night, had a wonderful time. Great atmosphere and amazing drinks.

They claimed they would have cheap drinks but charged 70 dollars for 3 drinks.It was also small and boring.

We had a nice time in this unpretentious, friendly bar with great outdoor space. It’s funny, but as a first-timer, after seeing the pictures on here I walked in expecting and ordering a classic cocktail. An unapologetic dive, The Rosemont is comically OPPOSITE from those pics…in every way. Don’t mind, love dives (and satire), and will return. But…do better management. I get a feeling you may rely a bit much on friendly bartenders and could do much more to sustain this space.

First let me start by saying, I came to the Rosemont later in the night, I got my life, the drinks were reasonably priced. The music was very hit or miss and the space wasn’t the most diverse—did find a few examples tho. Space was more dive-y than I was expected and Acoustics weren’t the best.

Fun scene even on the weekdays. Great place to meet people and hang out with people you already know. Somewhat unseeming from the outside, however the inside is a party! Went here with a couple of friends for someone’s birthday and had a blast. Friendly crowd and the bar deals are actually reasonable for New York! Amazed.

Incredible vibes on Mondays. This is my second time here and absolutely love it. The team and regulars are super friendly. Killer karaoke and games! Julia and her cohosts kill the game. Highly recommend

The Rosemont is one of the best queer bars in the city. Whether you want to throw back a few beers or prefer a classic like a Manhattan or Negroni (all prepared with care by the bartender), this is a bar that has something for everyone. The back patio is a relaxed fun vibe with a truly eclectic crowd. But if a night of dancing is more your thing head inside the bar where the music is pumping and people tear up the tiny dance floor after midnight

I went the bar on 03/07/23. I paid $10 for votka lemon. It was just like cold water. Do you know how many bar in that area? Do you think l will back your bar again? Screw yourself!

We had a very good rest in this place. The service is very high. Comfortable, cozy and fun.They often hold promotions, if you register at 909gay,com and create a profile, you can get a free, private room for 2 hours and a free cocktail

Used to go there all the time. one night i paid them at the door to check my coat. they gave it away to someone and couldnt recover it. the night it happened, they asked me to wait until the entire bar closed to see if someone just left it around the bar and talk to the manager. the manager gave me an incorrect number to text her to follow up. I am now having to take them to small claims court to recover $1000. i was super nice about it too, I even gave them a week to recover. they told me even if i paid them to check it, its not their responsibility, which doesnt even make sense from a legal perspective. so just in general, really shady business practices.

Friendly and funny bar, particularly for LGBT people and tourists. Tasty and inexpensive bar service. Cozy place. Drag queens performances and nightclub.Moreover, its located just to a few blocks from the metro, so its not expensive nor difficult to arrive there.Altamente recomendable / Highly-recommended to visit if you come to New York.

They dont play jazz here anymore, and definitely no live music. Not a jazz bar. Staff are nice though!

NO LONGER a jazz bar - NOW an incredibly welcome (yet cool) neighborhood (and soon to be destination) gay/queer/alt/outsiders bar -- w/o being a dive! Tufted banquettes, plenty of room to sit, stand, mingle, DANCE, almost unheard of outdoor space, simple but soulful decor (real art! space! clean!)... Run by NYC nightlifers (Troy-Mgr-AmbassadorOfCulture, Kris-Bar-PhotoArtist (SP?), Lauren-KeeperOfTheGate, Wren-Dj-Designer)... oh, you KNOW who they are ;)) who bring the lore of an ever evolving, turning, community to a completely new venue.... A new crossroads for many shared realities... WHY am I telling you this??? I want to just move in & become a fixture here too. See you soon.

Unfortunately the bar smelled like puke. Moved outside to get away from the smell which was very pleasant and cute. Nice bartender.

Chattas tacos are the best! Catch them in the weekend. Nice staff and good drinks.
