I havent been this underwhelmed in a long time. I had a long wait before I watched the bartender tear two sticky menus apart from one another and give me one. I ordered a drink and a medium rare burger twice before the order was actually placed. There was a long wait for the food, although no one was sitting at tables yet, and the seats around the bar werent full. The burger was juicy but not seasoned. When I pointed out that it was closer to well done than medium rare, the server said oh, walked away, and did nothing. Nothing about this visit was nice nor impressive, with the exception of the live band. Id pass it by if I were you. I only stayed because Id waited too long to eat and just didnt want to continue looking for another place to go. I only ate half the food. I didnt like any of it. Not the burger, fries, or house made BBQ sauce or honey mustard.
I enjoyed a wonderful brunch at Soho in downtown Buffalo this past weekend! Great food and excellent service!! Ive been to Soho countless times over the past two decades, always in the evenings. It was cool to see it in the daylight, an entirely different atmosphere. Super clean and well kept. The owner and management go above and beyond to care for their customers! I highly recommend visiting for brunch. We arrived early at 11 am so it wasnt busy yet which was nice. I had their Espressoho martini and egg & cheese breakfast sandwich. I also couldnt leave without trying their salted caramel cinnamon roll! They are made at their sister bakery Forno e Gelato, so good!! Parking was easy, we found a free space on the side street. Overall, it was a fun way to start the weekend!
After having a bad service experience a few years ago, a group of us decided to give this place another chance. Never again. We were asked multiple times if we had reservations even though there was only 1 other table seated...... took almost 20 min to get drinks ordered and finally handed menus. Then took. Almost an hour for us to get our food (6 burgers with fries).... when the food finally came out it was all barely even warm. We had to eat so fast as we had a show to get to right after.... couldnt even enjoy it. We went downstairs to leave only to see that there was literally NOBODY else in the place aside from our table and a few people scattered around the patio bar upstairs. WHY DID IT TAKE SO LONG TO GET OUR COLD FOOD??? Never again.
Such a lovely place for brunch ! The options are delicious and the service is wonderful! The only negative I would have is that the waiter was not 100% familiar with the menu. I wanted a item that stated that it had an egg involved, but the waiter said that it was poached. So I had to change to a different choice that had no egg involved. When my sister received her meal, which is the one I wanted, it had a fried egg on it. I wish he would have doubled checked before I made my decision. Mind you, my alternative option was delicious. I certainly didnt suffer for a change! Now I know next time I go I can get that choice. Other than that, it was lovely ! We were served complimentary strudel after we sat down, which was a nice unexpected surprise. We were not rushed and the vibe was relaxing and upbeat ! Definitely planning on going again ! Would recommend it to anyone! We went before a Sheas matinee performance. Perfect start to the day!!
I really enjoyed the southwestern-city atmosphere. It was so-o-o cozy! The food was delicious. I ordered pancakes for thirteen bucks, which came (by surprise) with a side of potato wedges and sauce.. & mixed fruit (strawberries, pineapples, etc. A really smooth venture!!
Great atmosphere, spacious seating and friendly staff. The selection of menu items are great for visitors not looking for a lesson in French or Italian. My wife really loved the tuna tacos and grilled ahi tuna. I had the New York strip and the creole shrimp starter. I wished I could just order a basket of the button mushrooms they were so delicious! Steak was cooked perfect. The fun music really drew is in and for having only one shot at dinner for our only day in Buffalo we were very pleased with our decision.
I came here on a Saturday night with a group of 6. The bouncers let 4 of us in for free then charged me and 1 friend $10 cover. They held our IDs to make sure we withdrew cash from the ATM. Picking and choosing who pays cover is messed up.
Observed the owner racially profile a guy who he targeted. I say targeted because the customer was way towards the back of the line and the owner walked back there and he told him he couldn’t get in because he had ripped jeans…but his jeans weren’t ripped at all. Many were puzzled as to how blatant his racist act was towards him. I would NEVER spend a dime with them. Me and my party immediately left because we would never support a business that express such disdain in a customerIn regards to your response below, maybe that was another victim because this incident happened last week Saturday and the guy never said a word and all you kept doin was shaking your head telling him to get out of line, not once did you have any further conversation that involved changing and coming back because nothing was wrong with his attire. Your mind was made up before even looking at the clothes to see no ripped pants were worn. Obviously this behavior is normal from YOU considering your response, and after further publicizing this incident and learning that this is common behavior from this establishment. Addressing your own biases may be a hard pill to swallow, but definitely worth looking into. I was offended and I was just a bystander
We made it to Soho for brunch on a Sunday to try something new. It was cute with inside and outside seating options, something for everyone on the menu and generous refillable alcoholic brunch drink options. We had the house made chicken and waffle, side of bacon and steak and eggs. Everything was made in house and tasty. The portions were a good size, filling and a decent price. It was nice to see small portions of fried potatoes and fruit on the plates to have some variety without having to order additional sides. The potatoes were super crispy and delish! There were drink options that were a little more deluxe on the menu. We opted for the $10 pitchers of mimosa and bloody Mary’s for our group. Perfect for a relaxing Sunday afternoon. The staff was wearing masks and following covid protocols when we were there. We felt safe and enjoyed our brunch.
The soho golden Burger is Beef on a bun with perfection with just the right flavour has bacon and Lettuce tomatoes 🍔 the golden fries greatest of time in my humble opinion Lol definitely better then McDonalds 🤣 and our drinks are delicious 🥂🍾 go there find out for youre selves
The music was amazing but outside of ordering, 10 minutes later, the waitress return stating they didn’t have any chicken fingers, the drinks were also watered down.
Trash. Food is horrible. All of it. The place is filled with underaged kids drinking and being stupid. If you dont mind somebody throwing up on your shoes this is the place for you. Two managers there a man and a woman were also very racist and had some horrible comments to say about my black fiance. Definitely not worth the time or money. Better places to go
Food was delicious. Presentation was as described/pictured and the staff was awesome. Will be returning to try their brunch.I had the Ginger Snap Crusted Salmon...Faroe Island Salmon / Blues Hog Barbecue Sauce Glaze / Gingersnap Cookie Crumb / Sweet Potato and Pumpkin Gnoochi / Granny Smith Apple / Fresh Cranberry / Local Maple Syrup Cream
Was there for a nice nite out with my gf and her friend. Waited at the bar for 30+ minutes and was ignored the whole time even when the bartenders could see me I was making it clear I needed service but eventually I did but I dont think Ill be coming back anytime soon
We were there for an event, and the service was amazing. The food was well cooked and displayed. I would go to another event there
Downtown club for mostly young professional or college ages looking to brush shoulders with local athletes. Pro: one of the last club spots on chippewa like con: strict dress code
Me and my friend went to the bathroom, it took us abt 5 minutes (sue me I had buttons instead of a zipper on my jeans so it took a min) and instead of one of the bouncers telling us to hurry up he pulled himself on top of the front of the stall door and looked in on us. I’ve never felt so violated at a bar and wish I would’ve decked him in the face. They kicked us out after I tried complaining to them that a man shouldn’t look over the door in a women’s bathroom and just told me that we took too long and they’d tell him not to do that again. F that it’s peeping Tom behavior thank god both of us were just abt to leave and had our pants up. Never coming back, don’t feel safe there after this
Atmosphere was a good vibe...Mimosas were ok, nothing special, they need more flavors. Peach, strawberry, etc.. The food was mediocre. They dont have condiments, really. No Jelly/Jam for toast, no steak sauce for steak... yeah, go figure. The vibe was us ladies. We enjoyed ourselves. Definitely wouldnt recommend or go back for the food... Not sure about their other drinks.
Always my favorite outdoor summer starter spot. Soho Is a true Buffalo staple!
Spent over 600$ and they closed on us 3 hrs early then They normally do and wouldn’t credit us or anything really disappointing definitely will not be getting a section at this club again.
This isnt a restaurant, its a club that serves bad food. I get that staffing issues are affecting everyone but it shouldnt take more than 10 minutes to get a drink, the wrong drink at that. And dont expect to carry on a conversation with your eating companion because for whatever reason, they installed a loud speaker above their dinner patrons and crank up the volume so you cant hear each other even if youre shouting. And the food? Terrible. This is Buffalo, you cant even get wings right? Dried out, overcooked with no flavour. Had a burger and it was like biting into an onion because they cut a huge wedge and left it in there; After breaking up the onion and removing 4/5 of it, the medium rare burger was dry and overcooked. I also ordered Buffalo Chips and didnt get the special sauce they touted on the menu, instead they served it with ketchup. I feel like I was at this place years before and had a great burger with great service but clearly this is run by new management because its terrible now. Will most definitely never come back.
Great place a lot of fun downtown Buffalo. Their burgers are fantastic! Their staff is A+. Shout out to Craig, Alexis, Kennedy, and Jay. Fantastic crew.
Couldn’t think of a better place for a family dinner or a late night. Please ask Kennedy and hayele
Went here with my fiance to celebrate our year anniversary.Would have given 4 stars because overall, had a decent dining experience, however, social distancing and mask requirements were clearly not in full effect for customers. The staff on the other hand were adhering to those requirements. My main issue was ordering the strip steak that was priced at 33 dollars on the menu and after I had eaten and paid, saw that I was charged 10 dollars more for it.I presented the matter to my waitress who went to see what the issue was and said the price had increased and asked did I still want to pay that amount. I wasnt going to make a big deal about and Id already been charged so I just left but as a customer I feel I should have been compensated for that as it was an error on their end not mine. Someone, to their credit, did reach out to me after I sent an inquiry online but we missed calls and Im sure just gave up on it. Overall, cool spot though.
First time in Buffalo for business and worked late so was hungry and thirsty (wink wink). Ordered crispy coconut cashew chicken and ate the plate clean. Meal was sooo good kinda reminded me of chicken and waffles but without the waffles. Atmosphere was chill and I was vining while enjoying a savory meal. Bartender was good and hostess was very nice. If you’re looking for a good feel while indulging in good food, hit up Soho Buffalo. I didn’t even get a chance to hang out upstairs on the outdoor patio. What what?! Next time indeed.
I’m in Buffalo for a business trip and went in for a drink tonight. I sat at the bar patiently for about 10 minutes while the blond haired bartender with glasses walked by me several times to check on her few customers multiple times. I finally had to wave my arms before she came over to me. I asked her what was going on and she claimed to not see me in the relatively empty bar. I was seated directly in front of her while she talked to other people. When I ordered my drink, she turned around and went to the back for awhile. Obviously I wasn’t welcome in that bar. She’s terrible, but I hope she enjoyed her vacation in Miami. Smh.
I drink miligro🥰.... they didnt have it so I had to order Patron🤔 the tasted really old and they gave me two shots which was $10 but the two shots was like nothing🤔🤨....The DJ for the all high reunion was Lit....
I am honestly disgusted with the customer service at this place. When I walked in I had waited at the ‘reception area’ to ask for my reservation. Nobody acknowledged me for over 10 minutes, until I approached the coworker in the kitchen and her reply being “we are short staffed”. I don’t think being short staffed has anything to do with your customer service. Then I wanted to order pancakes with a side of steak. The manager wanted to charged me $20 when most steak price on the menu is $13. Overall I did not feel loved or welcomed at all.
Good food with great people and great staff. My food was out to me quickly and there was a ton of people there as I was attending a raider nation party.
Steak was good and salad was good. Messed up reservations and appetizer seemed hurried. Service was friendly and attentive, but drinks are slow since they came from downstairs...NOTE: For reserved seating outside.
Absolutely fantastic environment and the hospitality was amazing… Beautiful restaurant / bar inside and out… phenomenal staff !!!
Older white bouncer should be fired to be completely honest. There are way better running, kinder staffed, and more fun places in Buffalo. The only good reviews are the older brunch group guys and gals and that’s def for a reason, and half of them still mention the poor service.
Went for brunch on Sunday - beautiful outdoor seating, waitress was friendly and wonderful. We had the waffles and hamburger both which were good quality and price. Definitely a must see! Only gave a 4 star as the menu for 1pm on Sunday was a little light offering only one type of hamburger - selection was limited.
Went there for an after work party on the patio. Weather was super and we had four barmaid who kept our glasses full. The food was served buffet style and it was all very good warm till the end. I cant personally speak for the menu food, however, it looked very good as we walked out and Ive been told all the items are really good.
Yesterday afternoon we were just walking around on Chippewa looking for a spot to grab lunch. Soho looked pretty cool so we tried it out. As soon as you walk in you feel like you arent in Buffalo, NY anymore. Super cool atmosphere! We snagged a seat and ended up ordering the lunch special of a salad and burger. Food came out very timely and was really good. No complaints at all. Waitress was on it, but not over bearing. Manager checked in to see how everything was. Exactly how eating out should be.Now I cant wait to go back for some Happy Hour drinks here sometime. All around great experience.
Sunday morning is probably not the best time to judge the barometer of the place. Staff was friendly. Drinks were light handed pours for specialty cocktails.
First 2 times I was here was great. I was recommending it to everyone.Last time I was here, I cant even say the service was atrocious. It was nonexistent. From the moment I sat down at the bar, the bartender just walked away without saying a word or putting a menu in front of me. I sat there for 5-10 minutes with NOTHING. Meanwhile, the bartender was wandering around about 30 feet away, occasionally making eye contact but then just continued wandering around. It would be a different story if it was busy, but there were maybe 6 people in the whole place and 2 of those people were also sitting at the bar. After that, I just left. I will never come back here. It makes me a bit sad, because the burgers were good, but the service(if it can even be called that) was abysmal.
On their Instagram it said “dress to impress” but their establishment is simple at best. This is not upscale, fine dining. According to their dress code you can’t wear a hoodie or ripped jeans. Imagine being turned away from a place that has a kids menu because you wore the wrong jeans that day. Want a burger & fries? Go to shake shack and wear whatever you want. I still gave this place 3 stars because I want to give the food a chance. Will update once I do. And yes the dress code goes in effect after 10 pm on weekends but even then, this is not a “date night” or a “night out” place regardless. It’s comfort food at best in an average looking building that’s trying too hard.
Great burgers! The chips that come with them are okay, but the truffle tots are very delicious. Eat them hot, though, as their texture gets a little doughy after they cool down. I dont know if Ive had a better cocktail for $10 either. We went on a Monday or Tuesday night (cant remember!) when the Sabres were playing and the place was rather empty. The tv wasnt too loud, but we could watch the game if we wanted. Service was as good as it should have been on a night like that, and the atmosphere was suitable for enjoying gourmet burgers. Not sure if I would go there on a weekend, but its a good choice for week night date night.
I cant say enough about Soho Buffalo. We have dined in some of the best restaurants in the US and Europe, in NYC, San Francisco, Chicago, London, Paris, and Rome. Our dinners at Soho were as good or better than the best in such places. The food is creative, well prepared and generous, and at the same time accessible and comforting. Chef JJ truly is a master at his craft. Our server, Jane, was warm, extremely competent, and attentive. Our only regret is the distance between our home and the restaurant that will keep us from returning anytime soon!
Stopped in here around 7:30 on a Monday night. Most of the places around were pretty dead but there were a lot of people in here. Turns out it was a private party but they were open and we were hungry. We split some wings which were good; they fry them and then grill them so they are crispier. Then had a blue cheese burger with fries and a Belgian beer. Service was good, but there werent that many people in there so not a surprise. I cant complain about anything and would come back
Excellent burger bar, the staff is courteous and prompt, the bar side is pretty happening even for a Thursday night, and my custom burger (kaiser, cheddar & mozzarella, bacon and a fried egg) and beer I had were both 10/10! I highly recommend this spot for a casual burger/sandwich in a sweet downtown nighttime scene. The patio is a nice seating area for conversations as well.
I was visiting some friends that reside in Buffalo and they have never experienced bottle service before and I thought this would be a nice spot on a busy weekend night.I reserved a table with a bottle of grey goose and champagne over the phone a few days prior, the guy(manager presumably) was quite nice otherwise this would get 0 stars .. if I could.Anyways, we got there and the bottle service girls were absolutely useless. They set us up at a table that was against the outer wall and if you sat down you were just staring at a blank wall (not the actual bar or anybody for that matter). I asked the bottle service girl if we could have the round corner table beside us which actually looked like a VIP spot and she said no its reserved and of course that table was vacant the whole night.Ive got bottle service in TOR/NYC and many place in Florida and this is by far the worst and doesnt even compare. To summarize it shortly It was like just bringing in my own bottle I bought down at the liquor store lol, wont be back.
I dont know why everyone complains about this place, I am convinced that the only people that leave reviews are ones that just feel like complaining. Jack the bartender is personable and knows how to make drinks. The comments about being understaffed are ridiculous, every time I go in there the place is overstaffed and the servers continually check on your table. The burgers are incredible, they offer gourmet options that are cooked perfectly and build your own burgers. The only criticism is how dark it is inside, but Im over it. Overall, this is a great place to eat.
This place openly discriminates!! I watched the activities of this place over the course of a night, every African American was turned away, I called to make a reservation and was told they were booked up early evening and the bar seemed full as well! Immediately you can tell that they were prescreening every call. When we got there we were told by reservation only, no room at the bar, they forgot the bar was in open view however. Do not patronize this group! Groups like this are not worthy of your dollar! They are rude and openly picking and choosing their clientele. Understand the position they have placed themselves in and respond accordingly! And do not be fooled by the Covid response, it’s a smoke screen folks!!!
Wow 25 min to get drinks. Food was good but the waiting killed it. Bartender had to find another server to help us. Just canceled a dinner we were going to have there. And looking at the reviews it seems the owner only responds to positive reviews.
Food was good. Communication from the staff and understanding the reservation system was not the best. They had our reservation but did not have a table for us, and I had to interrupt our server from looking at her phone to ask for our check.
Poor service, old friesWe asked for specific cooking directions on our steaks, they were not followed. And then the waitress tries to say that it is exactly as we asked, but in plain sight it isnt!!The salad was good, and so the burger. Thats why they get 2 stars and not 1
I felt EXTREMELY WELCOMED HERE!!! I had a bad day and decided to grab a beer. Needless to say I ended up at Sohos to drink a beer. Everyone there welcomed me and was very empathetic and it felt like family. I didnt talk to no one but the staff. I will definitely be coming back.
Great atmosphere, kid friendly. I took my oldest son, his fiance, my daughter, 3 grands & my honey for dinner & some drinks. Everything was great. My only complaint is the bathroom was very nasty & had spider webs!
Food was really good. I had chili burger with hand cut fries. I could eat the fries without ketchup thats how good they were. The burger was nice and juciy got medium rare added an fried egg. I gave it 4 stars because the menu was very small. Wish they had more burgers to choose from.
My wife and I were looking for a little late bite. We were walking around and we have passed SoHo before. We decided to give it a shot. Our server was nice and did a good job. We decided to try there house made waffle dessert with ice cream and chocolate syrup. We also ordered a bottle of Rose wine from there special list ( Oh yea..High end stuff!!). The dessert was decent overall. The waffle was a bit dense but I couldnt tell for sure if it was truly made from scratch. The ice cream was standard vanilla ice cream. The wine was good though and we enjoyed it.The Menu was very limited due to the COVID so that was understandable.Overall, this was a nice place to eat. Its trying to be a bit overly trendy in my opinion with the food. It didnt highly impress me overall but it was still enjoyable to eat here.
One of the most horrific bars I have seen in a while!!!! Im from Toronto, so I know what a good bar should be like. This is one of the bars youll see on bar rescue in the next few years, if it survives till then. They say its one of the better bars in Buffalo, but if thats true Id hate to see the other ones. Servers dont know which way is up and down in there. They under pour, then take shots themselves when they feel like. They are slow and each server only knows how to pour 2 to 3 drinks total. You ask for a rum and coke and they get confused. The bar was understaffed or at least seemed that way, cause the staff spent more time socializing then working. I also noticed the bars cleanliness, which I have to say is a total joke. I’d never advise drinking from one of those glasses. I’d avoid this place at all costs!!!!!
My hubby and I stopped in for Restaurant Week. I had the Steak and Eggs Burger and enjoyed every bite. I am not one who normally goes for a meal that sounds like it might be messy. I am so glad I tried it. It was juicy and flavorful. I liked it so much that I am going back for another one this week - which is rare for me. My hubby loved the truffle tater tots. We each had a mini chocolate chip ice cream sandwich for dessert and they were scrumptious. The portion was perfect - just enough to satisfy your sweet tooth, but not so much that you feel guilty splurging on dessert. And the owners mom makes the cookies (and other desserts) - just like Mama! The restaurant/bar itself has a good vibe to it. Sports games on the large screen tvs and trendy music all around. The staff is warm and welcoming - and the service was excellent. I highly recommend it.
Took some friends from out of town for live music Wednesdays on the upstairs patio. Apps were excellent: lamb meatballs, bacon wrapped pierogi and pot stickers. Tyler served up a bottles of Rock Angel Rose and Veuve Clicquot champagne to top off this wonderful evening.
Atmosphere is great, love the open air patios. Food is a little hit or miss but Ive had a fairly limited number of things and have only been here for pre-arranged business meals so I may not be the best judge of normal memu items.
On July 17th my friend was violently assaulted with a pint glass by a random woman, she had to get stitches, and suffered from a cervical sprain and concussion. The employees claim it never happened. They never helped, never called the police, nothing. Inhumane and disgusting as a business, and especially the owner. Will never go back and will make sure people know about this.
My friend wanted to take me out for a few drinks today on my Birthday so we walked in to SOHO the bartender didn’t even say hi or nothing he asked my friend what could he get him my friend asked him what kind of fruity drinks he had or recommend his response was I don’t know maybe something fruity with vodka. Really?!? So my friend asked for a menu for drinks. Than I gave him my ID I am 25 when I got my ID I was under 21 but the ID was still valid he says under 21 I explained to him about the ID and he says uhhh that’s weird. He was very coky not friendly at all seemed like he was more miserable I felt as we were bothering him. I told my friend let’s go somewhere else definitely was not spending my hard earned money there where we were not being treated right.? I am manager in a hotel & I always make sure the costumer is always felt welcomed so they come back & I always tell my staff the same . Please speak to your employee he was white not to tall kind of bold with glasses. Super rude and cocky first time to SOHO & I will NOT be back after this experience. And thanks for the bad experience on my Birthday too!
Tonight was rough, outdoor service and heat lamps broken, slow service, no napkins, loud music, harried staff, no napkins (did I say that twice bc we asked so many times), some well meaning employees with excuses and kind words but not enough to make up for it. Wings were ok, ahi tuna tostado mediocre at best. Ugh.
Food was disgusting. The burger came to my table practically raw. All they did was toss the same patty back on the grill then the burger came with a soggy nasty bun and stale chips. Server was nice but didnt even take off anything from the bill to compensate for the terrible food.
Had a drink happy hour and a band named restless soul played for us after we had just got married in the falls
Brooke is absolutely super and amazing shes on point with her services excellent bartender and super friendly and on her game she helped make my night great with her speedy service 💯 l highly recommend this place....
Cool club with 3 areas to mingle or dance, one being an outdoor balcony. 2 bars one on each floor. My only complaint is that music was sort of lame.
Had the mothers day brunch with family. food was cooked but cold. music was blaringly loud, and mandatory tip added for a table of 4. really? thank you for being open that day, but theres room for improvement.
The food was amazing! Or server Jane was the best!!!! Sweet, fun and great knowledge of the brunch menu! Definitely will be back
Was here for a company party. Food was great, beer selection good. It was pouring outside so we couldnt be on the balcony/patio, but we had a private room upstairs and had a great time!
The latest incarnation of Soho is much more upscale in its food offerings and is far better for it. If you were a fan of Torches back in the day youll find updated versions of a bunch of their dishes here. The caesar salad in particular was/is among my favorites. I also had a lamb chop special with roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes and a red pepper sauce that was absolutely delicious. On the other hand, if youre looking for a beer and a burger or beef on weck, they have that too. Definitely recommended.
Would give this place zero stars if I could. Bouncers are on a power trip. Yelled and threatend me as I walked in. Bouncer stared me down entire night. We were forced to eat dinner outside, in 48 degree weather! Said bouncer moved the heater away from our table. I know buffalo is miserable in general, but will never return to this establishment again. Worst place on chippewa.
Im not sure how this place gets the reviews it does - must be daytime staff. The service at the bar (while empty ~9p) is unreal. The bartenders constantly walk away even though the worker to client ratio is skewed something like 5:1.
While the website offers mocktails, the restaurant didnt have any available. They also didnt have ginger beer. The food was, at best, mediocre. Our server, Sarah, was very friendly and attentive.
Had one night in Buffalo and we decided to check out the upstairs patio at the Soho Burger Bar. Service was great! Jack was awesome, drinks were on point and the light bites were tasty. Will definitely come back.
This has nothing to do with the food or restaurant part. They hike entry prices sometimes so high it’s ridiculous. The owner literally changed the price from $10 to get in to $20 right in front of me. Also the bartenders try to rip you off occasionally and when you try to call them out they act like they have no idea about what’s going on. Fun place though.
Outstanding service from Dexter and Shannon! I had the Bison Burger, and it was awesome! It was a great combination of horseradish on the burger with sea salt on the top of the bun! Oh, and the beef was soaked in au jus! Loved it, along with the 80s music!
My friend was violently assaulted in the womens bathdoom on July 17th 2022 by a random women and had to immediately go to the emergency room. Soho has done nothing about the situation and the police are now involved. Will never go here (but not like I wouldve to begin with its gross) and am telling as many people as possible about it.
Was in the area after working out and thought Id stop by here (10PM on a weeknight). Place was dead but the doorman wouldnt let me in because I had on Adidas striped pants. Wasnt too disappointed as there are other places to get a good burger like 5 Guys or Vizzis on Kenmore Avenue.
Very poor experience at Soho on the chip strip. I usually enjoy it there, but tonight was my husbands birthday and we were treated awful. We asked for two shots and because the bartender gave us what we didnt ask for he said, You dont have to take them then gave them away to other patrons and then was refused service. We got the feeling our server was on steroids and couldnt contain his madness. Its a shame and we wont be back.
Went here at 9:30 or so at night and we seemed to be the only people eating (everyone else was just drinking). I specifically asked for the wings first but instead they came out with our entrees after an entire HOUR of waiting. I’m sorry but it should not take an hour to cook some wings and a burger. The burgers were okay, but I’d rather spend a little more and go to ABV.
The food is pretty good, but they forgot a part of our order- our three year old’s dinner. They did offer to take it off the bill but didn’t offer to replace it, so we ended up with a really disappointed child.
Favorite place downtown. Unfortunately its the only place on Chippewa where you can have fun without worrying about safety. Very strict under age rules and the bouncers actually stick by them. Been going there for years and will continue going there for a night out on chip.
Pleasant Sunday brunch. Chocolate chip waffle with real maple syrup was tasty and crunchy, but the chips tasted economy brand. The coffee was also too long in the pot.
Fast, friendly, helpful service, clean modern decor, huge bar, great cocktails and food was excellent before the theatre. I would highly recommend this place for theatre goers!
Our lunch was good & the pitchers of mimosas are great. The server was polite & attentive we’ll be back
Took over 60 minutes to get our food. Eventuality just decided to pay for our drinks and leave. No updates from the waitress, manager, or host. It was lunch and not that crowded.
Wow. This place was great last summer, but I went here a week ago and it was so bad. The drinks sucked and it was just kind of uncomfortable. Dont go here unless they have the roof open!
Stopped in for some drinks before heading over to The Rec Room. Bartender spilled beer all over the back of me. She gave me a half hearted “sorry” and offered nothing to remedy the situation. Couldn’t even offer me napkins to clean myself off.
My wife and I went into Soho on a Saturday afternoon for Bark Crawl and I had an absolutely phenomenal Bloody Mary and my dogs for that day were also welcome that day. Great Time.
Great place great atmosphere Most friendly staff I’ve seen in a whileA must if ur in Buffalo !!!!!
The bartender did not know what Frangelico was and they couldnt do Vouve by the glass but the more expensive champagne was. Great! DJ!!! NICE Ambiance
I went here for lunch and had the chicken Cesar salad. The salad was pretty good, nothing over the top or spectacular. The prices are a little high but thats the price for a trendy place downtown.
Do not go for no food went to the rooftop to party which was awesome good experience good people good music just dont act like a wise guy there LOL
Great burgers, great drink menu and beers on tap. Went at 3pm on a Wednesday and service was slower for being the only table. Awesome outdoor dining experience.
Burgers are good, but the alcoholic milkshakes are a must-try (Hint: Kentucky Caramel w/Bourbon is best of the bunch). Usually not crowded, and great location on Chippewa for a night out.
Incredible burgers and a great rooftop venue. We took advantage of the best of restaurant week here with their dinner for 2 for $20.17. We will definitely be back
As always a amazing place and atmosphere. Staffing top notch along with food and drink selection.
Tried their Orange Bubbles and Pork belly tacos! OMG!!! it was so good! Whoever created the pork belly tacos deserves a Nobel prize
The burgers are the best in the city. I dont get why it isnt busier. Service is always great, friendly. This is my favorite place and my ho to place when friends come in to town.
Went here for a bachelor party. Good selection of drinks and great service! Would recommend.
Good was pretty good. Loved the Ahi Tuna tacos. The chili honey wings just tasted like a regular bbq sauce. Service was great.
Negative star. Worst bar in buffalo. Reminds me of encore. Wasnt long before that place closed. Horrible service. Horrible management. The bartenders will take forever and the managers will run away. Please dont waste your time there
Its absolutely gorgeous in here! Jay congratulations! Tee & I cant wait to host our first event here on Valentines day ❤
Nice place and location. Really cool upstairs bar/outdoor area. There were a lot of bees though, not sure they could do too much about that though. Will definitely go back!
Had the U.S. Adult Soccer Friday event at SOHO. Great food and atmosphere. The outdoor party deck was awesome!
Amazing time with the 2nd event there , staff was quick friendly, and happy to help
I had the worst experience of my life at Soho. I was having a good time and a blonde bar tender who wasnt even working at the time kicked me and my roommate out for no reason.
Meh....atmosphere okay, and layout not great. The music was sub-par, and the D.J. wasnt in the booth often. Just okay. I would not go back; nor would I recommend.
Excellent atmosphere with great drinks and even better burgers. I would definitely recommend coming here for dinner or lunch.
Burgers were amazingly good, ambiance is great. Took a little bit to get our foods ordered, but overall night was great!
Amazing drinks! Very friendly staff. The rooftop is perfect for a girls night out!!!
When asked for whiskey and tea they gave me a dubble shot of whiskey in 1cup with ice and a glass of ice tea in another ... then charged me for 2 drinks when all I wanted was whiskey mixed with my ice tea.. very slow at 11on as Saturday night
The atmosphere and food here are absolutley too notch but the best part of this place is the service!! The waitresses are awesome!!
We just stopped for drinks on a Friday night. A little young for my taste. Good music - loud! Enjoyed ourselves.
Tried Soho out for restaurant week. the burgers are amazing and the service was great! we are already planning our next visit. worth driving and hour for a burger like this!
Vibes were mid cover was 20 dollars and there was like 10 people in the place.
Great bar to go to on a Saturday night , it’s kinda pack , but if you like a bar club with a lot of good music dancing this is the place
Great place to spend a Saturday night pregaming for Sunday football!
Food was absolutely amazing! 10/10 the staff are so kind and welcoming too.
Decent food. Good selection of food. Last time here the service was not what it normally is or should be.
It was ok...just wish there was a more variety of items on the menu. But the food and service is good!
Excellent 1/2 lb burger at a decent price. Top floor patio has good atmosphere.
The burgers were nice and well done wasnt too crazy about the sweet potato fries but the burger was good!
Great burgers, great bar. Excellent place for group gatherings (stags, birthdays) upstairs and on the patio. Shows live soccer.
Came for a group dinner. Food and service was great. I love the upper patio!
Great place to get a burger built just the way you like it. If you need veggies, salads are various and fresh.
The upstairs bar is awesome! Anna May is a great bartender and makes a mean Manhattan.
Ton of fun both times. Never ate there but 2 floors to drink with friends and a balcony i dont remember going on
Great burgers, not too busy when we went. The fries are also quite good
Great place just really small bar area downstairs and therefore slow service on busy nights
Good lunch. Great service. Discount if you are going to a show. We will be back.
Excellent music with a good crowd. Watching the videos while dancing also helps you with your dance floor moves
Nice outdoor happy hour options in the summer, acceptable food and reasonably priced cocktails. Reliable.
One of a kind Establishment in the Buffalo area, Great Burger Selection and great place to grab a drink for happy hour or late night, always a good time at Soho!
Private party , staff was amazing with quick and friendly service. Appetizers were scrumptious !!
This place is a joke. It makes you feel like you are not welcome if you are a visitor from out of town. The guys at the door only let in people they know
Just weird.....radio station there broadcasting by the bar, but they didnt turn off the house music. ..and the tvs over the bar had the volume up.....waitress smiled and was friendly but....
I came here a couple times. Food is not good at all! Go to another restaurant with better food.
Not my favorite spots. For downtown Buffalo is ok.
Great atmosphere. The roof top bar has a great view. You wont believe its Buffalo
Stopped in for a drink and it was happy hour. Half price Martinis which were excellent.
Bison Burger was a delicious twist of a beef on weck. Truffle tots and tacos good too.
Great service. Good food. Cant ask for much more!
I love there drinks and I like going on the roof top to dance its a good time.
Good food good service pricey and dont be in a hurry. If you rushing this place doesnt really care
Good burgers, drinks are a little pricey. Overall, I like the place though.
Had a fun first date with a nice guy who liked to dance 🩰🙂
The music was too loud. We left before we ordered.
Good food. Make sure you you ask for well done if you dont want pink
We stopped in after lunch for a boozy milkshake.....so yummy! Highly recommend the Crumbled Cookie!!
One of the best spots in the city, no matter when soho always provides for a great night out!
Enjoyed the food. I got good and full there! No complaints!
Service was absolutely horrible food was mediocre at best staff is just plain rude
Went on lunch. Burgers are ok nothing dynamic. Place could be cleaner. Service is a bit slow.
It was ok but the night was early ,bartender made the wrong drink. I like the DJ for the most part
Private party. Very nice. The main bar seems great for a young crowd.
Soho Buffalo great place great tasting food, excellent service and a nice atmosphere. Definite keeper!
Great happy hours early in the week with live entertainment on the patio on Wednesday evenings
Great night club atmosphere 2 djs one upstairs and one down. Staff is fantastic
We just had drinks and desserts but enjoyed. Good please to watch football
I was waiting for a waiter to come and serve me for at least 20 minutes and i was never served i had to leave the restaurant and go to another place WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVERRRRR!
Half of my party had to pay a cover even tho we had 20 people and called ahead. Stupid.
Very fun place! The patio in the summer is the place to be on a Friday or Saturday night.
I was going to wear my traffic cone shoes there tonight, but you guys said no street gear. So, nevermind.
Smaller place but youll have a good time....if it isnt too crowded..
Food, service, and prices were all great!
Just okay food but a terrible beer selection for anyone interested in craft brews
Brunch burger and shrimp and grits were awesome.
Been there for brunch on several occasions..never disappointed.
Place is OK. It seems that once you find something good on the menu they change it and you cant find it again. Thats disappointing
Home of the Raider Nation in Buffalo. Awesome locoation!
I was there for a Baby Shower for an awesome sportscaster on NBC, channel 2
The steak is amazing! Fries were ok. But i kive this spot!
Excellent service! Our bartender was personalable, friendly and promoted the business!
I got the crispy cashew coconut chicken and it was really good.
Absolutely amazing food and attentive service, definitely recommend
Never had the food but it is good spot for nightlife spring to late summer!
Really great atmosphere. Good songs amd amazing crowd.
The burger was so nice. I will definitely come back when I visit Buffalo.
Drinks were okay. Service, a little slow. Didnt try the food.
Cool place, the bouncers good guys, and bartenders great thanks for great time
Terrible service. I understand now all the discrimination reviews. Just not acceptable.
Good if earlier.. Too packed later on but great music
Great customer service and their drinks NOT water downed
This place served Jack Eichel alc when he was 18 #FJE
Little too hipster for me but Im old. Lol. I would definitely go back though!
Awesome food...JJ best chef ever!
To my taste, best burgers in buffalo. Way better than grovers
They dont care about their customers health or about the community. Only about making money. Zero respect for the business and its owners
