I do not write reviews, but Im compelled to share my poor experience at this massage place.I requested a 30-minute chair massage, I assumed the woman who greeted me would be my masseuse as she was the only person visibly there when I first came in. She guided me to the chair, had me put my head down, and then an unknown man started my massage. Off the bat, thats weird. Its just proper etiquette to introduce any person doing the massage & more so because he was a man - they shouldve asked if I was okay with that as a woman.Anyway, I let it slide thinking it could still be a regular massage experience, but I was very wrong. The massage was excessively rough and fast-paced like he was trying to cover all parts of my body as fast as possible. I am still sore two days later & I am no stranger to deep massages, this was just bad.In the last minutes of the massage, that was when the masseuse crossed a line with personal space. I felt his genitalia pressed against my body. The first time, it was on my arm, I rationalized it by it perhaps being a mistake. However, it happened again for longer against my backside. Before I could even realize what just occurred, the timer went off & my time on the chair was up.I immediately paid and left with no time to call out that inappropriate behavior. I wish I did. Thus, I share my experience to warn those considering this place, especially women.
Strong, consistent massages at a very reasonable price. I just finished my 11 session package and will definitely be getting another. This is not a luxury spa, but the massages are far more therapeutic than any of the places I’ve gone to around Newbury St. Some mall sounds, but the shop is always clean and comfortable.
First time I went I didn’t have a good experience. I received a coupon from the mall for a discount for first time massage they didn’t let me use it. The massage sucked and service was terrible. But I wasn’t having a good today so I thought it was me, so today I decided to try them again and for real there’s way better massages out there!! I asked for a 40 minute reflexology and she was literally 30 minutes rubbing her hands against my feet and 10 slapping my legs and feet. and spent all 40 minutes talking to other staff. Terrible massage if you can call that a massage it’s more of a foot rub and not relaxing at all. Don’t think I’ll be back 😩
Extremely professionals , Im been treated like a queen 👸 I really recommend this place I drove all the way from providence. Other places I go I end up in pain. This place actually relief.
Bit of a language barrier with the receptionist and the masseuse, but a fantastic experience nonetheless. The masseuse was responsive to my needs for pressure/intensity/focus area. My shoulder had been bothering me for weeks and one session at this place and I found relief overnight. 10/10 experience and would definitely go back when I’m in Boston.
I went there for Rhomboid pain they were rude, not sanitary refuse to wear a mask did not clean the chair, I am an older person, with lots of medical issues I tried to explain he does not speak English none of them do. I am an so much pain I would agreed to let the devil give me a massageI agreed for 30 minutes. The mall chair give better massage I kept pointing to where it hurts but he instead massage my arm I was insisting, to no avail now I am an more pain than before. I don’t think they are real therapist can you get a licence without knowing the language? I read the other reviews If you don’t have any issues I suppose they are there for fun not if you are an discomforts they are not professional massage therapist I used to work in a Spa.
I strongly recommend this place especially for us who do physical work outside everyday, looking forward for more services
I’m laughing at all the reviews complaining about rough massages. I literally love it here because they relieve and work out knots and stimulate lymph drainage. I would not pay for someone to lightly touch me, that’s what a massage chair at the Mall is for. The staff has always been super friendly and they seem to really work hard on you and out good effort into it. Just bring cash (BOA ATM near Best Buy) and go there when your feet or back hurt and they will have you floating.
Don’t understand the bad reviews. great prices. relaxing professional massage. i told the guy i had an ankle injury and he was very mindful and gentle. will go back.
The foot massage was fine. The table massage was one of the worst I’ve ever had. It was not relaxing, at times painful. Reminded me of a massage I would give to my wife that she’d complain about and make me stop.
Avoid at any cost. These masseurs are not licensed. They cannot be. I understand trying to make a living, but they are earning it at the cost of others health. My wife and I visited here for a 30 minutes massage. Both masseurs were extremely aggressive, using only their knuckles and elbows to press with extreme force on your body. Number of attempts were made to temper the pressure, but it did not help. My masseur tried to massage the back of my skull, but given the force, I had to push him back to avoid getting hurt. And I weigh 230 lbs, mostly muscularly built. The masseur ended up hurting both my and my wifes body, neck, lower back, and the back of our heads. We continue to be in extreme pain a day after, my wife already showing black-and-blue spots on her back. What a disaster of a place and the oxymoron name, Relaxation Therapy.
Great spot. Massage was very good !
Exceptional value. High-quality massage for a reasonable price. I go here almost once a week! Always leave super happy. Cozy environment.
Once you get past the name, it’s actually pretty good. I got the 45 min deep foot massage and the person did a fabulous job. Appointments don’t mean much so you will have to wait for 5-10 anyways. Don’t let that discourage you. It’s worth it.
I absolutely love this place. Ive probably been here over 15 times, and make a point to go back on a regular basis.I will admit, if youre looking for a relaxing, light massage, this is not for you. But I have really tight shoulder and neck muscles, and a super firm massage is perfect for me. Ive gone in with a tension headache and left without one. A+ stuff!
I really dislike writing bad reviews but I should share my experience if only to help the staff whom I had some language barrier issues communicating with.A week + 2 days after my massage there (30 min chair massage) I am still in near constant neck and shoulder pain. Ive never had issues like this before with my 20 years of experience with massage therapy, quite the opposite. The pressure and style of the massage was way too aggressive, I was in pain most of the massage and kept asking for less pressure. At some points I would cry out a bit in pain and I heard a smattering of chuckling behind me as if the staff kind of thought it was funny the massage was so intense.I think if the mechanics of the massage were more aligned with stretching, facia release or reiki-like I could have benefited from the amount of pressure but the fact that the massage felt like I was being beat up half the time with lots of harsh movements, abrupt adjustments etc... it was a disaster.Ill be in physical therapy for a few weeks now to try and realign and heal.Update: 2.5 weeks later, two trips to the Physical Therapist and a Rx for Prednisone later still recovering.
Nice awesome massage 💆♂️ fully relaxed , Tony guy is great . But too much noise coming in from mall music n other showrooms music , it’s just so annoying, During massage it should be calm n peaceful , apart from that noise , massage is simply awesome .
Rough masasge if you like it like that, you will leave hurting instead of feeling relieved of pain. I opted for a medium touch instead of hard compressions, and this three foot woman transformed her hands into a steel drill, and included punches to my palms and back at the end. Not girly enough for me, I recommend this treatment for a man that you want to get beat up, no lie.
The services were good but when I went to pay the girl at the counter she kept on insisting that I pay in cash and really didnt want to accept my credit card for payment of the services or the tip. I had to threaten her with calling my credit card company to get her to take my credit card for payment and tip. What was that all about!!!
I love this place because you just walk in and its quick and easy. The therapists do excellent work and I always leave feeling refreshed. One tip, they really prefer cash, or at least the tip in cash.
Super great massage. My back was killing me and the 20 min massage did the trick. Super convenient!
Maggie is the best!! I have been coming to this massage place for 5+ years and I love it. Prices are good and the massages are great.
Best 90 minute full body massage I’ve ever had, and also there is not a long wait, which is a plus+. 💯
Terrible service. Rude staff. Make you wait despite appointments. Get better massages elsewhere.
Great deep tissue massage with no hassle. They have walk-ins. Reasonably priced. Communication can be challenging, but I use Google translate.
Great spot and great prices. I go a few times a month. Really friendly staff as well!
It is a hit or miss. Have had really good body massages here but a couple of times Ive been stuck with a newbie who had no clue what he was doing.
They do excellent foot and chair massages. The best ones I’ve had in a long time.
Great massage. Just what I needed after a day wandering around the city. Top floor of the mall.
Great massage and customer service at competitive prices
