Raawis General Store And Halal Meat Market

There were piles and piles of unpacked inventory all over the store. Very disorganized and chaotic. The kitchen was also very disorganized and not so clean. The gyro was odd. The gyro meat is deep fried and cut into big square chunks. Not the best Ive had.

Always a good experience and they have a variety of different foods and snacks. Their wings are always good too.

We recently got 3 Pepper and Memphis Sweet wings from Raawis. It was 100% the best chicken wings we (my significant other and I) ever ate, and I have had chicken wings from a lot of places. The texture of the wings was superb. My only complaint if I had to give one is that the 3 Pepper overwhelmed the Memphis Sweet flavor wise, but each were perfect on their own. We will definitely be back!

Good food, but the diced gyro meat is kind of too big and make it taste too much in the mouth especially for the gyro cheese fries, itd be nice if the meat was cut smaller or sliced thin.

Very good food! As vegetarians we got the veggie burger, fries, falafel wrap and veggie samosas. Definitely will be going back!

I’m here at 7:13a. I’ve never had an issue with them not being open in the past, however, they’re not open. Their hours say 7a-2a.

Ordered food for my family and everything was cold. Fries were terrible, chicken sandwich was cold, my daughters chicken was cold. Do not recommend.

They opened a halal restaurant and they have halal meat and chicken and Muslims work there. They also have halal rice, bread, canned food, and frozen vegetables, and it is very close to SIU University.
