Incredibly fun bar with great energy and friendly patrons. Ive been to a lot of drag shows, but never have I ever been so impressed. Very diverse and talented group of drag Kings and Queens who are dedicated to their craft. The fact that some of the performers are classically trained really took the show up several notches. They really get the audience involved in the show, so you stay engaged, and on designated nights, the audience gets to cast a vote for their favorite performer. They have decent bar food, kitchen stays open pretty late, the drinks are great, and its a nice touch that they offer specials named after the performers! Its a great date night or friends night out option. Ill definitely be a repeat customer. They have paid street parking out front, no issues with it being over run and theres an on site ATM and QR codes for tipping in case you forgot case to tip the acts.

What a fun girls night or a night out! Cute little place with great service, reasonable price drinks and good food. We will definitely be back. The drag bingo show was fantastic!

Looking for food one late night after a concert, I found Buddys (the owner Brian kept the kitchen open for us)! This is an incredibly fun bar, and the food is amazing for bar food. I then was told it was a Buffalo Bills (& Packers Bar), so I had to come back! Having been here twice now, this place is an amazing spot. The owner, Brian, genuinely cares and wants to make everyone happy and has custom food and drink menus for the sporting events. Also, lots of free celebratory drinks here while watching and listening to the games! Pro Tip: If youre a Bills fan who wants to enjoy the game with others while also having your personal space (not too crowded like the official bills bars in Chicago), then THIS is the place for you. Hope to see many of you here!

This place is an absolute blast on Thursday nights. They have Drag Queen bingo where you can win prizes and drag queens perform throughout the night. Food is decent for bar food but you’re not coming here for the food. I simply adore all the queens who work here.Excellent customer service BTW by servers and management. If you’re having a birthday or bachelorette party, do it here. Street parking is easy.

Great drinks, great menu, friendly staff and amazing events. Excellent place to go if you dont want to be somewhere too crowded but still want a taste of chicago nightlife.

Neighborhood bar with special events like trivia and drag night. Great job checking vax card and id. Specialty drinks are $10 each and the drag performers get $1 per drink sold. Menu looked good- wings, tacos, burgers, etc. Fun night, very attentive staff, lots of entertainment.

Strong drinks, warm and friendly staff, delicious food, and socially distanced comedy. What more can you ask? I cannot recommend My Buddys enough. The people who run it are top shelf and they do such a fantastic job providing a safe environment for food drinks and entertainment.

Food and atmosphere is nice for a local type of karaoke and show bar. 1 star because the Caucasian bartender at the front bar took 2-3 shots with his friends and vaped while we were the only other customers in the bar waiting to close out. Had to walk up to the bar for help, but he ignored and proceeded to socialize. When his tip reflected the awful service, he followed us outside the bar and called out an insult. He was probably drunk, beyond unprofessional and rude. Too bad because I’m local and would’ve given the place lots of business, but that staff member completely deterred me from ever stepping foot in there again.

Very fun little bar thats tucked away. Its fairly new and trying to get it off the ground. Theyve got an awesome staff and worth stopping by if youre in the neighborhood.

I loved the bar, service and beer. I highly recommend it. I was in the bar last night for group outing organized by the owner (much love Brian)for Endgame. He greeted everyone personally and checked on everyone in the bar. The rest of the staff was very friendly and attentive as well. The owner organized the bus ride to the theater and also had everyone thank the bus driver. On the way back from the movie, he had the kitchen staff ready to prep food for people if they were hungry ( I usually thought kitchens closed after 11 and this was was after midnight). All around good vibes. Event or not, I have to go back. There were signs by the door asking patrons to be respectful of neighbors. Too cool. High recommend this place.

Come for the cool laid-back atmosphere, but definitely stay for the delicious food and drinks! The bacon basket that you can add to a perfectly cooked burger really tops off the night. Karaoke on Fridays with one of the largest song list Ive ever seen. This is definitely a top notch local hangout!

Terrific appetizers-hummus was really good and came with a garlic pita and plenty of veggies. Also liked the guac plate and the onion haystack-decent prices for the city. Good vibe, fun night, will go back

Been a few times now, always super great people food and atmosphere. This time I had a great home brew beer with hit wings. The wings tasted so good! They were to hot for me (Im not a hot spice person) but still went back for more!

The owner and his staff make you feel so welcomed! They are kind and attentive and eager to treat you like youve been going there for years! Their events are so fun, monthly tastings and all kinds of great holiday parties. They deserve so many excellent ratings and you wont be disappointed with their bar!

Do yourself a favor and hit this spot up ! Ive been here twice because they host stand up comedy shows. Drinks taste amazing and reasonably priced and the food is on another level, everything they make taste great and theyve got vegetarian options. The staff gets 5 stars from the very friendly bartender named Kate who remembers your name...to the waiters, busboys. Enjoy the drinks and food come on Wednesdays to see live stand up comedy, feel safe that the same staff takes and enforce Covid 19 precautions.

My Buddy’s might be the most well-rounded bar in Chicago. Exciting atmosphere to watch sports. Reasonably priced drinks. Delicious scratch (I think) kitchen. LGBTQ+ friendly. Comedy shows. Friendly and attentive service. AND on top of everything else, the ownership clearly has a philanthropic spirit, providing meals for essential workers and supporting female entrepreneurs! Pick whatever reason you want and give this place a shot.

I Love my Buddys and the owner Brian is super awesome, cool and down to earth. And isnt afraid to work and make sure everyone is good and comfortable. Always a great time when Im there. Last night was my second time visiting this bar and I had an amazing experience with the staff. The man who was working the door (Shawn I believe?) was very welcoming and made us feel like regulars. We had a bomb chicken taco with mac n cheese and a delicious veggie burger. Well definitely be back!

My cousin and I had a great experience at my buddys! The service was awesome, both my our waiter/bartender and the owner or gm popped over as well. We both thought the food was really good! Solid bar food with a southern sorta feel. Fair prices, good drinks and a cool space. My cousin had the fried green tomato blt and I had the shrimp taco and steak taco. We started with the crab dip. All of it was Good stuff, great neighborhood spot to check out in my opinion 😃

Really nice neighborhood bar with food & drink specials. You know the owner cares a lot because hes there working alongside his staff -- greeting people, checking in with customers, and even serving and bussing tables. Nick the bartender is great, very friendly & welcoming. We will definitely be back soon to try the intriguing cocktails. Comfort food is delicious, definitely not your average bar fare. Generous portions. Lots of TVs (no sound), but My Buddys gets an extra ⭐️ for turning on one station with womens sports (hoops & gymnastics)!

This place is FANTASTIC! The staff is amazing- Christy even remembered my name and asked me by name if I wanted to order more drinks. The entertainment is beyond amazing too! Will definitely be coming back for the next Reign Supreme, and bringing many friends! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Drag shows are great. Rita Tarot is a fantastic host. Charging $10 a ticket when people are also tipping (by using the wayyyyy overpriced ATM) and buying overpriced drinks and food is pretty ridiculous though. Its also a straight bar that only does LGBTQ events in the back hidden behind a curtain away from their straight patrons. Seems a little sketchy.

This is an amazing local place with great cocktails and a killer craft beer list. The details matter and at this place they put fruit in the ice. They support local performers such as comedians and drag queens. This is my new favorite place.

Brian and his staff are the most welcoming and friendliest people in the Chicagoland area! This bar is amazing when it comes to service, people, food, and more. Thursday night Drag Bingo is the way to go. Despite having a big crowd, staff was more than accommodating, patient, and kind. What made it even better-They were genuinely happy to be there. It made the whole experience that much better.

This is my new favorite bar in the city. The food was fantastic, there were games like Quiplash, and the staff treated us like family. This is my go-to bar from now on. We also went for a friends birthday, and we got deals for being in the group. The birthday girl got free drinks too. Id give them six stars if I could.

Had a really great time at this bar because the atmosphere and service is excellent. They had two beer pong tables and my group of friends played for hours. I had the loaded fries late in the night and they blew my mind. Best loaded fries in Chicago without a doubt.

This is a great neighborhood bar! I tried their deviled eggs and haystack onion pieces. Both were delicious! I was able to eat inside near the window. This is a great place and we locals are happy to have such a neat neighborhood bar serving great food nearby!

I went in last night with my girlfriend and had a good time. The location of this Bar and Grill is a perfect fit for the neighborhood. Only thing is I just noticed this place two weeks ago as I was stopped at the red light. It was crowded, but we got a table ourselves. The Bears and Packers were playing their first preseason games of the year and they were playing beer pong by the DJ music both, so the place was very loud. It was all good though, the atmosphere was great. It is a long spacious bar with games and plenty of nice locals. The staff was great! Brandon was awesome. He overheard me talking about how the bar was divided into a green bay and bears section because the owners are rival fans. Lol. He knew I wanted to see the Bears game and he got us a table near the front to watch the game. Kaitlyn was a nice waitress. She could not help us when we moved. Not her fault. Food was great. I had the abuddy Burger and my Lady had a chicken salad. We will be back. Maybe for the Bears vs Packers game.

I haven’t been to too many bars during the pandemic. However, my Buddy’s did the best job of social distancing and had sanitizer stations everywhere, was by far the best experience of being in public and feeling safe. They also have a great new drink and food menu which is fantastic!!

Yummy Bloody Marys! Love the way they have the karaoke area set up, you can see your self singing next to the lyrics! Lots of space to sit. Great place to grab a drink or two and sing your heart out!

Thank you to Brian and his staff for a great evening! Our family was visiting from out of town for a graduation. We were staying at the Airbnb across the street and needed a location to hang out with family for a few cold ones for a few hours. The entire staff was friendly and accommodating. If we are ever back in the area, I will definitely stop in again. Thank you again for your wonderful hospitality.

Ive only been here a few times, but I absolutely love it here. Its very neighborhood focused. Its been at least 6 weeks between visits, and the people there remember you. The food portions are huge, so think about that appetizer.

Got an appetizer platter for the Super Bowl. While a delivery driver accidentally grabbed my bag before I got there, the restaurant fixed it very quickly. The appetizers were much better than expected (especially wings and tachos) and are definitely above average for a bar.

Came here to watch the Packer game last night and had a great time! The place attracts a fun crowd and the owner Brian even came and introduced himself to my girlfriend and I. This bar has delicious food, a great beer selection, no shortage of TVs, and is an excellent place for game day shenanigans. 10/10 Go Pack Go

I love this place! The staff are so friendly and want to go above and beyond to help everyone have a good time. The hicken wings are banging (recommend the relationshio flavor...sweet and spicy). Tons of craft beer options, just ask for a recommendation. And theres a (water) beer pong table to play on too.

This bar has the best layout for service you can hope for. They have great specials if you have an eye for them, and consistently plan great events. This is a PREMIERE neighborhood bar. As in, considering staff and service, its hard to understand why I would want to go anywhere else.

A great spot in Wrigleyville. Live music, good food, bar games. Outdoor seating is currently available. Kind of close by train station. Treat yourself to a pint to and from a Cubs game!

Absolutely love my buddys. I cannot believe havent done a review yet. The staff makes me feel at home, comfortable, and safe (such a big deal as a woman). I go there for the comedy nights and have a blast every time.

The shrimp tacos were horrible. The coleslaw used made the tacos super soggy and colored the entires plate purple from the cabbage. I’m fat and I couldn’t eat more than a bite due to the texture.Overall I enjoyed my experience. The other people at my table liked their food.

The staff are incredible, the food is good, the drinks are strong... What more do you want?!One thing to call out specifically are the events they host. Theyre so much fun! Crawfish boils for Mardi Gras, monthly beer tastings, and more. They make it easy to have a good time!It is also the single best Packers bar in the city of Chicago. Periodt.

Great bar with good food and fun events. Went on Friday and they had karaoke night. Was an absolute blast. They also sponsor local rec leagues. Have not been but they also have drag trivia and drag nights. Worth visiting!

Came for karaoke, got attitude from bartender. Male bartender in the back 3/6/20 preferred to serve people who would tip everytime. I gave tip money for my fiancee to give for the both of us and he only served her everytime I came to the bar. My order was only taken if no one was at the bar. My friends got the same rude treatment. Atmosphere rustic and very pleasant. DJ great. Would only come back for karaoke and get my drinks elsewhere before handEdit:Okay so we requested a song since 10:30 and it is currently 1:00 and are still in the waiting list. Its not terrible. Im sure the people who got to sing placed multiple songs ahead of time so we are still waiting out turn. The DJ tends to play a intermission song after everyones turn so it will take longer for anyone to get a turn. I doubt we will get our turn to sing since this place closes at 2. If I could recommend a change it would be the DJ to only have an intermission if the next singer didnt step forward. Most likely wont come back

Friendliest bar in Chicago. The bartenders recognized me the second time I came in and made me feel like I had been going there for years even though there are a countless amount of regulars. Clientele is equally as friendly. This is place is what bars are meant for.

My favorite place to go in Chicago! The staff is amazing and the food is great. Owner Brian has always had a great atmosphere at all of his bars, and Nick and Taylor are the best bartenders. Go Pack Go!

Brian the janitor is my favorite person! 🤣 No, srsly, I discovered this place about a year ago and established a closer relationship with the bar when my sponsored my volleyball league. Its always a good time and the service is solid! Also, their burgers are surprisingly amazing!!!

Great local place. Youll get treated like a regular after a few trips. Food and staff are great. Their veggie burger is AHHHHMAZING! Best veggie burger Ive ever had and I was vegitarian for 2 years.

I want to like this place, and maybe I will, but it has *A LOT* of growing to do.Basically, for every pro there is a con:The atmosphere has potential but it seemed small. I couldnt tell whether there was a private event in the back or what but only a few tables in the front seemed available. The staff was super friendly, but actual service was incredibly sporadic. As our meal went on the place got increasingly busier, and the staff got increasingly more chaotic! No one seemed to have a particular job. At one point there were four staff members (at least one potentially a partner) behind the tiny front bar doing the same thing. I hope they can get that sorted out soon. Theyd really benefit with some experienced management.The food has potential, but isnt great. The bun on my burger looked good, but was ultimately stale. The rest of the flavors were alright. And they can fry a decent tater tot. But my husbands cajun chicken sandwich was served on cold garlic toast and was stacked in an arbitrary fashion; neither decision really making a lot of sense. And was also mostly pickles (?) which made it even more soggy. Now that Im typing this it: its just a really odd sandwich.They are very new so I realize theres a learning curve. But other reviews are going back as far as a month ago so part of me wonders why some of these things havent been worked out yet.Ill give them another month or two before going back. Maybe things will be more successful with a little more time.

It was a good bar. A little bit elevated from a neighborhood bar. They serve food including salads. I didnt try the food but it looked good. The had a beer Schnapps drink that was odd and my friend liked it.

I got two tacos: the Southern Chicken Taco and Island Shrimp Taco. Both were great, but the chicken taco was out-of-this-world good. The chicken is done to perfection with crispy skin but tender and juicy inside. They put mac and cheese in it, which sounds a little strange but it tastes so good! Genius! The owner, Brian, was very friendly and talked to me for a while, giving tips about the neighborhood. Will definitely go back.

3 middle aged black women, walked in, was not greeted, seated ourselves because we were not greeted, no one EVER said a word to us, the bartender was directly across from us, didnt speak or say if someone would be with us, we waited and then got up and left, still no one said a word, what WASNT said spoke VOLUMES! NOT a worry, we wont be back, you could have simply posted a sign in the window to say we werent welcome, thats rich because there is a restaurant or 2 on every block, its ok,-Id rather know before you serve me food, so moving on to better places, When you know better you grow better, I dont feel like I missed anytying.
