The NOW Massage West Loop

Had a great massage today at Now West Loop by Keturah. The pressure she applied was spot on, and she paid extra attention to my problem areas neck and shoulders as I had requested. Relaxing rooms and soothing ambiance inside. The front desk staff was very welcoming & friendly. Shout out to Maria and Luz for the wonderful customer service. Highly recommended..

I was really disappointed with the experience. It is the worst massage I have received. First I paid for a 50 minute massage and it was only 40, I paid for the herbal heat pads and they forgot about them. The person giving me the massage was like in a hurry, it didn’t feel any relaxing at all. She was rough and quick with her hands instead of calming and gentle. It was 8 pm and probably just had real long day and just wanted to go home but I payed full prize and more for it. I would never go back. I think I should get my money back

I’ve had a couple massages with Kate now, and each time I’ve left feeling so much better! She’s been great at listening to where I’m feeling tightness or discomfort while knowing how best to address everything. And with currently training for a half marathon, the massages have really helped my body recover and feel stronger throughout training. Definitely recommend!

Kate has been my “go to” for a few months now. She has such a welcoming energy and listens well to my areas of concern/needs. You can tell she truly enjoys what she does and looks forward to her clients’ experiences. 10/10 customer service, including the front desk folks who are fabulous, which is tough to find these days! Ive had several massages before but never like what Jacob provided! For him to have been a novice, he is very in tune with what one does for a living and what parts of the body are a necessity to ease and massage. A sense of calmness and relaxation washed over me after my experience. I left my massage feeling so much relief in my neck and forearms. Kate was extremely intuitive with finding knots that needed releasing, by utilizing deep tissue and stretching methods. I also enjoyed how she incorporated various rocking techniques to get me into a relaxed state - it all just flowed together so well, and I would highly recommend her!

I came in with a very sore shoulder , she focused on the problem area and did not disappoint. One of the best massages I’ve had in a long time. I pray that God will bless her tremendously as well as show her how much she is loved by Him .

Overall experience was excellent! Staff were attentive and respectful. Kate was skillful and tried to addressed all your concerns, asked you at the beginning your areas you have more tension etc.The ambiance of the place, the moment you step in, already invites relaxation. Once you get in your own massage space, you’re even more welcomed into that zone of calm and comfort.

I went to NOW Massage this afternoon and had a subpar experience. I arrived 15 minutes early as requested on their website, however the massage therapist was not available until 3:40 when my appointment was at 3:30. To make matters worse, I had a 80 minute massage appointment and the therapist started the timer at 3:30 so I missed out on 10 minutes of the massage. The ambiance was fantastic and relaxing. I wish the massage was as equally fantastic. The therapist for 98% of the massage, massaged me through the sheet covers and barely used any oils. Also I payed extra for the deep tissue technique and the massage could not have been further from deep tissue. I left the massage as tight and sore as I walked in. Maybe this was a one of experience, but I would not recommend coming to this establishment.

I had an amazing experience with Rome at NOW. He was equal parts skillful, caring, gentle and professional. I got the deep massage add on and was so grateful that Rome varied pressure with a clear knowledge of the body - his deep massaging left my previously achy and sore lower back happy. I was so relaxed and thankful that Rome was paying such close attention to my body’s specific needs that I literally teared up multiple times throughout! Highly recommend and would go see him all the time if I lived here.

Good experience, will be returning. Was initially disappointed that we couldn’t get in the door when we arrived, but once the manager came out to unlock it and let us in, the experience was enjoyable. Alaya was top notch and professional. She was the highlight of the visit!

Upon entering the aroma was captivating. The customer service and ambiance of the place is awesome. I had an amazing prenatal massage with Araceli. My 16 yr old daughter also enjoyed her massage with Kate. She had an add on for an eye treatment and a hempbalm. Both ladies were kind, gentle and attentive to our bodies. Araceli relieved my back and pelvic area pains from being 27wks pregnant. I will definitely be returning for another prenatal and other massages.

Im not one to write reviews unless the experience is worth noting - in this case; this was one of the worst massages my husband and I had received. We opted for the 50 minute now massage. There was barely any pressure applied during the whole massage; even after requesting it. Not to mention, my husbands masseuse had headphones in while massaging him and felt like he spent more time walking around the room rather than facilitating the massage. Wish I had read additional reviews before visiting. The place is pretty and clean - but wont be coming back. We both left with the same pain/knots we walked in there with, unfortunately.

Araceli is great!! Her deep tissue massages have been so helpful in managing chronic tension in my neck/shoulders/jaw. The location itself is really lovely and serene, but they could improve the sound buffering between massage spaces.

I have been coming to the West Loop location for a few months. Everyone is wonderful from the front desk to the therapist. However, I wanted to give a special shout-out to Kate. She was incredible, had excellent communication and attention to detail. I will be rebooking with her again very soon!

Have been going here for over a year, and they have a lot of great massage therapists, but Ragene is next level. Came in super sore after a tournament and got the sports massage with stretching- man have I been sleeping on the sports massage option. She really knows how to approach each muscle with firm pressure, but just enough to be effective, not painful. Ragene seems to be one of the more experienced therapists there, 10/10.

Loved this place so much! The decor and vibe were perfect for a relaxing massage. Jacob was my masseuse and he did a great job! I did the 80 minute sports massage with a deep tissue add-on. A quiet and serene environment with well trained staff who really care for your whole body. I’ve seen a few wonderful massage therapists, but currently see Tina who is amazing every time. This is the best massage studio I have even been to. Besides the adorable decor, the ambiance and set-up transport you to a world of relaxation. On top of this, Jeff provided the best massage I have had in Chicago. His technique was deep but not painful while spending time on my knots and tighter muscles. He made sure to follow the request I made prior to my massage and ensured I had the most relaxing 50 minutes.

First 50-minute Signature NOW massage recently and wowowow. 10s across the board. Calming atmosphere by way of visuals, textures, sounds (ocean waves) and smells (custom candles). The massage rooms themselves are different from anything I’ve experienced locally — it truly felt like an oasis. My therapist Remy was skilled and attentive, focusing on problem areas while also soothing other areas that I had no idea needed attention. He’s earned a new regular and it’ll be 80 minutes this time!

I visited Chicago to see family but the flight there for a number on back. I was able to get a same day appointment and it was a quick ride from Magnificent Mile! Alaya was amazing, applied the perfect pressure and made me feel super comfortable! I will certainly be back on my next trip to Chicago!!

Your average chain massage studio with a handful of both pros and cons. Starting with pros - I found the base price very reasonable. The studio was clean and there was an efficient check in system upon arrival. My masseuse was nice and the massage was good enough. She was attentive to the areas I asked her to focus on and even after having dozens of massages in my life, she used techniques that I had never had done to me before.Now the cons - I paid for an 80 minute massage and only received about 65 minutes. My masseuse was late getting me into the room and didn’t start until several minutes after the allotted time. To be clear, I don’t blame her; they have to churn people in and out quickly with little downtime. But it definitely soured the experience for me. The second major con was the physical setup of the space. Rather than individual rooms, the space is divided by curtains hanging from the wall. You can hear everything happening in the space next to you, and it really does not lend itself to a relaxing atmosphere. I literally heard the man next to me describe his recent surgery and why he was reluctant to have his leg stretched in a certain way. Not exactly helping me to be present with my massage. Finally, like all chains, they look for ways to up-sell you on add-ons. They got me with some hemp blanket thing that did absolutely zilch for the experience.Overall, it’s a fine place and if you aren’t getting massages very often or haven’t been many other places, you’ll likely enjoy your experience. But for massage veterans, skip this spot and look elsewhere.

Rome was great. He focused on my tense areas with good pressure. I felt so much better post massage. I highly recommend any NOW location and Rome. Great atmosphere, knowledgeable techs, and affordable pricing.

I have Fibromyalgia, and one thing I know will always help make me feel a little better is a massage. I used to struggle to find affordable places to go where I knew I would get a decent massage, and I am so thankful to have found The Massage Now! I go to the West Loop location and have a membership. It has been the most consistent and best massage ever since I lived in Chicago for 10 years. I have seen both Remy ( who is now gone but was WONDERFUL) and I now see Kate, who is 10/10. She really cares about you and makes sure to help ease whatever pain you have. She focused on massage techniques and areas where my nerves were sensitive, and I always leave feeling brand new. I recommend adding the heat packs for $10 and even the CBD balm.

Booked a 25 minute “NOW” massage with Lee, and had a great experience! Lee worked my shoulders and lower back really well in that half hour, I left feeling like a new man. Would absolutely recommend NOW and Lee to anyone in the area looking for a relaxing massage experience.

This place is a money pit, do not go here, 85 minute massage is 145, then there are ad ins for each and everything like deep tissue is another $20, head massage$30, then what is actually included in the $145/85 minutes? There massage staff is way tooo sub par, nothing about this place is good including the reception staff, they have no idea how to apply gift certificates!!! You’d have to wait literally 20 minutes to check out because the staff is always confused on how to apply credits! Overall I would give a zero and DO Not WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!!!!

Katie was an amazing masseuse. She was kind, accommodating and her technique was as requested. The place is clean, aesthetically pleasing and unique. However, the beds are only separated by curtains. Everyone tries to be respectful and quiet if they take notice, but there were instances when others were loud and disturbing.

My experience at the NOW with Missy was more than what I expected! I was greeted warmly by the front desk and offered lemon water while I waited. They educated me on the different enhancements and I ended up going with the Deep Tissue and I’mso glad I did! Missy was super sweet and very attentive to everything I had asked for in terms of the massage and even incorporated lavender in the beginning of the massage, which was a comforting touch! The massage was amazing - I fell asleep twice lol.. I felt super refreshed afterwards and will definitely come back book with her again!! :)

He asked great questions about what I wanted to concentrate on and he checked in with me throughout but not in a disruptive kind of way. And wow! The ambience!! Very very cool, dark and intimate. The reception staff were super friendly and welcoming! Have already referred a friend and will def be going back!

My therapist Keturah did a great job and was very kind. Adjusted pressure as needed. I recommend the heat add on, as can be cold (concrete floors). There are not wall everywhere rather heavy drop cloth dividers, occasionally I did hear therapist in next space, but not bothersome, still able to rest. Music (ocean sounds) is very loud, but again adjusted. I would recommend and go again just wanted to point out what maybe a deal breaker for some . I say give em try.

I was quite disappointed with my massage. While the place and ambiance was wonderful, my massage felt useless. I added on deep tissue and told the masseuse that I would like a 6 on a pressure scale of 1-6 due to pain I was having and it was the lightest massage I have ever received. It was never apparent that there was any deep tissue work done. It also started late and finished early.

Overall great experience at a fair price. Ambiance is unmatched compared to any massage chains. Therapist are well trained in advanced techniques and the quality is always consistent. Tons of customizable add ons. Get the membership for the best price, can always skip months if needed

One of the most uncomfortable massages I’ve ever had. 90% of the 80 min massage I was face down until I asked if we were rotating face up - and then I was asked to lay on my side?!?!Massaged me through the sheet most of the time. It was super awkward and left me with more shoulder and back pain than when I arrived.When the massage was finished, I was asked personal questions IN THE RECEPTION AREA and not in private.I know there are several massage therapists here - but it’s been a couple weeks with no follow up after they sent me a “how did it go” email.I would caution using this place and really talk to the massage therapist who you book to make sure they know what they’re doing.

Theres a few reasons Im giving this place 5 stars, even though they werent able to fulfill my appointments. To begin, the staff was incredibly nice and great at communicating. They were able to call me ahead of time in order to try to accommodate me. But sadly, there was an issue with scheduling, but this did not stop the staff from handling the situation in a professional manner. I understood scheduling conflicts were not at fault of the business and because of this , anytime Im in the Chicago area I will happily give them another try. Great customer service and amazing atmosphere.

I had the unfortunate experience of trying out Nowmassage recently, and I must say that I am thoroughly disappointed with their service. In fact, I would strongly advise against using their services. Over last three days, Nowmassage managed to cancel my appointments not once, not twice 3 times!!!Each time I had made an appointment, I had eagerly anticipated the relaxation and relief that a massage can bring. However, the anticipation quickly turned into frustration and annoyance as I received notification after notification informing me that my appointment had been canceled. Not only did this disrupt my plans and inconvenience me, but it also left me without the much-needed stress relief I was seeking.Never use them

Remy was amazing. Although I was late he set the expection to relax, which I needed to hear in that moment. Its always been a challenge to allow myself to get to a true place of relaxation, however his calming presence helped tremendously. He gave great advice for at home care too. Will be back!

I’ve had spa treatments across the globe and this by far is in the top 5 memorable ones. I tried the west loop location this time to see if it was any different than south loop and nope. Just as consistent. Rome was so good! Membership is completely worth it. Highly recommended.

I unfortunately have had two disappointing experiences with The Now Massage so thought it was worth sharing. As a business owner and new mom, it is rare that I unplug and take a self-care day. After hearing great things about your place of business, I was eager to get a massage.Disappointing Experience #1: I left the office early for my massage at the Lincoln Park location several months ago. I was about 8 months pregnant and looking for a final moment to myself as my body ached everywhere. While in the Uber from where I live in Fulton Market to the Lincoln location, I received a call that my appointment had been canceled because my massage therapist was no longer available. I was told, Dont worry we wont charge you the cancellation fee. So I did not get a massage that day and did not have an opportunity to rebook until after I had my child.Disappoint Experience #2: Just a week ago, I rebooked but at the Fulton Market / West Loop location arranging childcare and taking off work. I decided Id do a morning appointment at 9:00AM and splurge for the 80 minute massage with different add-ons. At 9:15 AM as I sat in the lobby, I was told my massage therapist was a no show and that I could go to Lincoln Park for a 10 AM available appointment. Because I had prior commitments with people that do show up when they say they will, I only had time for a 50 minute massage, and had to pay for an uber to and from the Lincoln Park locations (receipts attached). When I shared my frustration that of the two Ive tried to get a massage here both times the person didnt show up...the receptionist shared...Yeah. this happens all the time.They are so disrespectful with their customers time.
