Whitney helped my daughter feel more secure about herself after she cut and styled her hair. My daughter is going into 7th grade and is calling her new style a glow up. After we left the salon, she said, all while having tears in her eyes mommy, Whitney did an awesome job! She helped complete my glow up and I feel amazing. I havent heard her say those words in years! Whitney is the only one who will be cutting my daughters hair! I will 100% recommend people to go see her at Mitchells in Kenwood! Thank you Whitney!!!

Madi is amazing. I will never go to another salon or stylist. She gives me exactly what I vision for my hair. She is very consistent. She turned my damaged/ fried hair into beautiful and soft. My hair is finally growing after struggling for years with brittle/ short hair. She recommended great products! Her kindness and ability to bring back my confidence makes her the best! :)

If you love your hair, I highly suggest you skip going to Mitchell’s in Kenwood. This is how Jennifer left my hair after I paid $130+ and no, my hair is NOT wet in this picture, it’s greasy. All I wanted was a trim and all over color. When I told Jennifer this, she said we would be doing a “semi permanent” color. She said it was best for me because I “didn’t have grey hair”. Due to my ignorance and trusting that she was a professional, I agreed. She took me to the sink and put the color in my hair. She was EXTREMELY rough during the application. After she rinsed the dye she informed me that she was doing a “complementary hair mask” on my hair and that she would be back when it’s done sitting. I sat there for at least 20 minutes before she came back. When we were walking back to her station that’s when I noticed my hair was MATTED and KNOTTED from the nape of my neck down to the tips. I then realized why she gave me the “complimentary mask”. All of my hair was matted into one huge piece.For about an hour she vigorously raked and literally ripped through my wet hair as hard and rough as she could. She also sprayed what seemed like a whole bottle of product, which I assume was detangler, on my hair. She did not in any way try to be gentle or take care to not break/rip my hair. At one point I had to use my hands to detangle and take over brushing. I was fighting back tears. When the brushing was finally over she then trimmed and blow dried it. I should have said something to her, but I was honestly trying to trust that she knew what she was doing being that she works for Mitchell’s. I was just in shock. She charged me full price and left me with greasy, disgusting hair. I walked in with better hair than I left with.The next morning I called and spoke to their director. She was extremely dismissive, and basically blamed me for HER stylist matting my hair. She gave me a refund, but her attitude totally proved she couldn’t care less about me or my hair. Needless to say, I will NEVER be back.

My overall experience was mediocre at best. I booked the head to toe spa package. Massage, and facial were great, and then it slowly went down hill from there. When my hair was being washed she was pulling it everywhere, probably what I was excited for most. Then the “style” was gone before I even left the building, thank goodness I got a picture . I was supposed to get a lunch included, didn’t get that. My makeup was done, also gone before I left the building. The lipstick they use is all over the cups. I can buy better lipstick than that for $5 at the store. Manicure I did get gel on my nails and yes I know it costs more but I was under the assumption it would be included since there was no mention of an up charge. Get to the front to pay and she tells me it’s $470. When I told her I was quoted $420 ish at time of booking, she then fiddled for what felt like 10 minutes to get down to $445 because I got gel. I bought this for my birthday and by the time I left I was so disappointed. I do want to point out, all the technicians I seen were great and very nice. My rating is the whole experience on not on the individuals themselves.

Took my kids for a manicure treatment. They loved it! The staff was friendly and accommodating even just before closing. Fair prices.

Bree does an excellent job from start to finish. Shes extremely knowledgeable and takes such good care of her clients. No matter what your hair looks like going in, shes going to make sure it looks fabulous when you leave. A++

I have gotten a cut and color from Bree 3 times now and she always does an amazing job! I went in the first time looking to make my blonde last longer, and she came up with the perfect formula and process to do exactly what I was asking for. I have never been so happy with my hair!

I booked 3 appointments, one for myself, one for my sister, and one for my aunt. We went as a girls day and had the 30 min aromatherapy massages I had Anne as my technician, my sister had Hope, and my aunt had Melanie. Anne was amazing Ill be booking with her again soon. My sister said that she asked for hope to focus on her shoulders neck and back but instead she focused more on her legs and arms for some reason. My aunt said melanie was good. It was my second time in my entire life getting a massage. It was my aunt and sisters first time. I think it went well

Shelley is the best stylist PERIOD! and the staff at the front desk are always so helpful. Welcoming and clean atmosphere with a great selection of products that are always stocked. It’s worth the $$$ promise.

If you’re looking for a good barber, book Nick Cantrell. He gave me one of the best haircuts I ever had. I highly recommend him. Man is new to the game, but he knows how to get the job done.

This Spring break I went to Mitchells at the Kenwood mall for my first facial as suggested by a coworker. I saw Maggie and was over the moon by the experience. She was super professional and explained exactly what she was doing, as well as explaining products that might benefit my skin going forward. I left the facial with clean, soft and glowing skin. Highly recommend!

It’s a little confusing to find. Go in by the Container Store and head back toward the elevators. Mitchell’s Salon and Day Spa is upstairs. Everything is very beautifully decorated and clean. Staff is very friendly and I’m always happy with how my hair looks when I am done!! Krista is who does my hair and she is so amazingly friendly and she really knows what she is doing!!!

Wonderful as always! Julie is amazing!! Have been going to Mitchells in Kenwood for quite awhile now for the massage specialty and they never fail to deliver high quality service. When Im there I dont want to leave Lol.

Today 4/5 is my birthday and every year I get a massage and pedicure, and today was no different except my experience. Ive been waiting for months to get this massage and pedi when I get there I pay for my pedicure which I thought was a full service only to be told its express and I had to pick between the foot scrub or massage, I need both which was what I scheduled for months ago, then I find out that the person doing my massage called off and Im angry at this point because I didnt have a clue of that nor was their anyone else who could service me, this has been very disappointing to me I took the day off to just have a relaxation day for my birthday and it was completely ruined my feet still have a lot of dead skin that wasnt scrubbed off and my time gas and energy was wasted Im going to have to pay again to get my full service pedicure because my heels are not smooth and Im just very angry that nothing I scheduled was available for me today on my birthday unexceptable......

I had a spa party for 11 women. The coordinator Erica was amazing helpful and professional.The day of the party every staff person from the front desk clerks to every professional who provided a service to us was phenomenal.Some of the women had never experienced a facial or massage and the Team at Mitchells Salon gave them an experience that has set the bar high.We are already contemplating another spa outing.If you have not experienced their spa services you are cheating yourself.Thanks again for making this day great.

I have been going to Mitchell’s for 12 years now to the same stylist, Irina. I always know my hair will look great when I leave the salon and I feel like she is always honest with me about what style will look best on me!

I went to Jessi as a model to get foils done. My hair turned out nothing like I wanted. (Completely my fault. I had bad communication about what I wanted.)I called and spoke with someone and they were more than willing to let me come and get it fixed. Jessis teach was here and helped walking me through the process, and helping me to better communicate what my goal was for my hair. In the end, Jessi did a fantastic job with the correction (again, 100% my own fault.) Either way, I had a wonderful experience, and will be back!

Fab facial with Manisha and she was so incredibly knowledgeable! Then on to pedicures where such incredible attention to detail was paid. Great experience!

Erika, the Events Manager is so courteous and professional. I planned for a small group to come here for a corporate offsite, and she made everything concise, quick, and easy. Staff was organized and put great care into their services. Just wanted to say thank you to Mitchells for hosting our group and if I could give Erika 10 stars, I would!

I went to a newer nail tech at Mitchels to get a gel manicure, her name was Finn. Absolutely lovely person and she cared about how I wanted my nails and took the time, without rushing, to complete my service. In the service industry, it is hard to find someone that actually likes what they do, and this nail technician absolutely took pride and her work. I will definitely be going back to Finn!Thank you my dear for such a nice job on my nails!!

Taylor was amazing! She asked lots of great questions and really understood what I wanted for my hair! I highly recommend Mitchell’s as well as Taylor!!

I ALWAYS have a bad experience with my hair.Nobody ever exceeds my expectations. However, Taylor was recommended to me, and let me just say this, TAYLOR... She is badass! I went in there needing a color correction. I had a ton of blonde from highlighting over n over that needed gone and NOBODY could get the blonde gone. Taylor didnt make any promises and I appreciate her being a forthcoming. So I expected a meh when she was done. NOPE! That girl seriously needs a blonde specialist title next to her name. It was my first time at Mitchells Salon & Day Spa. I had a haircut appointment with Sandra. What a great experience! She did a wonderful job on my hair. I can recommend her to anyone! The salon is simply beautiful and elegant!

Easy check-in; friendly and helpful front desk staff; welcoming and open waiting space. but the best is always Heather (Wolking). shes a consummate professional, gives great advice, and consistently does a great job (above and beyond, really) . i used to see her at Pump and followed her to Mitchells Kenwood. She is quite literally the only person Ive ever let cut my hair (aside from myself until about 10 years ago). Now both my partner and our son go to Heather, and only Heather. And she always has the best product recommendations, not a big upsell but just very specific to what we need. THE BEST!!!!

The hair designers can create a cut/style that works best with your hair and face, and know the products I need to make my hair look great every day. The nail salon techs ensure my nails are healthy and beautiful. High quality all the way around. I take advantage of the gift certificate sales to save 20% on services and products.

Hope made me feel immediately relaxed. It had been many years since my last massage. I already booked another one with her six weeks from now.

We booked the spa for a friends bachelorette party, and everything was amazing from the moment we walked in. Our guest of honor felt very special with the sign that were put up as we walked in welcoming us. The private room was wonderful with refreshments and some snacks! Every member of staff we came in contact with were AMAZING! We all left feeling pampered and refreshed! We are already looking forward to booking again with Mitchell’s in the future! Grace Hacker did an excellent job today on my hair cut! She cut my hair and it looked just like the picture I gave her, she also offered to shampoo and style it. This was the best hair experience I have ever had, Grace listened to what I explained, and fixed my hair perfectly. I felt glamorous once I was finished!

Mitchells did the hair and makeup for my wedding and I cant recommend them enough! They churned through all 8 of us on schedule and everyone was happy with the results. A few days beforehand I got my nails done and the nail techs were a hoot. We had so much fun the entire time we were there! Professional, on time, and very fairly priced.

I was super nervous about getting my hair done. I have lived here 4 and a half years and only had my hair professionally done twice. While my hair was good, they didnt leave me feeling like my stylist in Georgia. So, I needed something done NOW. Decided to make an appointment for today, March 18. I was nervous because I really wanted something that would make me feel great. Molly was my stylist. Yall I left the salon feeling FANTASTIC!!! She did such an amazing job! Listened to me, my concerns, what I wanted done, my lifestyle, etc. She totally delivered on a fabulous hairstyle!!!

I had a spa gift card and chose this salon for a facial. Overall, it was relaxing, but the extraction part of the blackhead removal on my nose was so painful I asked her to stop (she did, and was very kind about it). Not worth the results, IMHO. The massage part of the facial was also relaxing, but was a very light touch - not quite a massage. That might be fine for some, so Im just sharing this as an FYI. When I checked out, there was some confusion at the front desk about what service I had (the employee had the wrong paperwork - and they oddly refer to clients as travelers?), and the girl at the desk kind of made me feel a little stupid about it. So, fwiw!

The speed of my first technician and her professionalism, the quality and quantity of time my second technician took and her kindness, and the willingness of the individual who checked me in to try and go above and beyond to helping me with a not scheduled request. Best. Service. Hands. Down.

We had a great experience with childrens haircuts here. The stylists (Greg and Salta) were wonderful with kids and they left happy with their new styles.

I came here for my first time yesterday. I had a great experience. The receptionist was great with helping me decide who to book with. I havent been happy with my hair so I wanted to try someone new. I have short super thick hair so I was nervous. I had Zoey right away she was very welcoming and reassuring. She explained everything to me and even showed me how to curl my hair with the flat iron which everyone has been saying it was to short to do. She went above and beyond and also gave me the style I wanted for now and told me what we can do to reach the style I want down the road. I booked for my next cut and color already. I am so glad I chose to make a change!

Mitchells in Kenwood (behind Kenwood Towne Center) always takes great care of me. From the second I walk in - the easy Check In Station. I rarely have to wait for more than a couple minutes. Krista Rothert has been cutting my hair for 3 years now. Shes great. Professional. Skilled. Fast.The staff when I check out is professional and courteous and efficient.And... I really appreciate the snowy ice and complimentary beverages off the lobby waiting area. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

My stylist Molly took my ideas and was able to work it to fit my hair type. Molly is so confident and listens to what I want and always checks with me as she cuts and accepts my suggestions without hesitation. Shes so kind and fun to work with. I reallylucked out when I selected her. Highly recommend Molly.

I love my haircut done this past Saturday at Mitchell’s in Kenwood.I am an older women with long grey hair and I like to keep it longer . My designer did an excellent job..the style has held spectacularly for my length.

I have been looking for salons to try after a bad experience with a different place, so I have been very careful with who I choose for my services. The receptionist, Avery, very patiently answered all of my questions and had plenty of suggestions! She was so kind and lovely!! Though I’m still looking around, Avery’s service alone makes me feel like this would be a great place!

First, the good: If you need a PHENOMENAL Esthetician, book with TAMELA! Ive gone to her for several Brazilian waxes. They are the best Ive ever experienced!Next, the bad: PLEASE DO NOT go to Manisha for any spa service. I had a buff and tan done by her last year. It was terrible. It was streaky and only lasted about a day, even with following all the instructions. I ended up getting a credit from Mitchells Salon for that experience. I went back, thinking I was getting someone else to do a Brazilian Wax. There mustve been some kind of miscommunication because when I heard my name called, I looked up and it was her. I was going to give it a try, thinking that things may have changed in a year. The Brazilian wax that I received from her was AWFUL. Ive had enough waxing services in my life to know whats acceptable and whats not. My main concern is that she kept waxing the same few spots in my genital area over and over. I know you are not supposed to do that. In an effort to get her to stop, I told her it was ok if all the hair wasnt gone and asked her to go on to the next area. She refused and kept waxing the same spot. She did this in about 4 areas, waxing the same area about 4 times. A few days later, my skin was so traumatized that I got whats called Skin Lifting. It was terrible, painful, itchy and embarrassing. It took almost 2 weeks of ointments and special care for my skin to return to normal. Not to mention I was getting a Brazilian to go on a trip to the Bahamas. It did not work out as planned and I did not have the experience I wanted on my trip. :(

Great experience at Kenwood Mitchell’s. Jamie was my technician for an express pedicure. She was very professional and has a nice personality. The waiting area is spacious and comfortable. I highly recommend this business.

It was a good experience for my sons haircut. Hes been disappointed by haircuts his entire life. I decided to take him to a nice salon and we werent disappointed. A gentleman named Greg really did a fantastic job. Im a bit of a handful and the staff was amazingly gracious. Thank you very, very much.

Went here because I knew I needed professional help with my very damaged hair. Loved their website since you get to see the available hairstylists with their pictures so it gives you this feeling of who do you think you’re gonna be so comfortable working/talking with about the service you’re trying to get. I chose Megan to be my hairstylist and she is awesome! I was so shy at first but she made sure I’m comfortable always. Everyone in that place looks so professional and they were all very nice. Place was very nice, clean, practicing social distancing as well. Definitely more space and bigger than the one in Hyde Park. Everything’s just amazing! Worth the money definitely!

If you want to be treated poorly by staff and management if you dislike what you paid for, go here. I just left the salon today feeling humiliated and depressed because my hair is horrible. They refused to fix my hair unless I paid for it because they claim Im only wanting more highlights than what she did. Negative. I asked for orange and yellow spots to get fixed and they gave me a spot light which did absolutely nothing. They told me to drive back to get it fixed which I live and hour away so I did just for them to tell me that theyre not helping unless I pay more. Literally left in tears. I never do anything for myself so this was special. Instead I was treated horrible.

Redemption! Anne and Cierra 100% turned my initial feelings around. I booked a 4 hour Relaxation treatment, a birthday present from my boyfriend. Never having been to a spa, I was excited. Due to schedule limitations, I had to do half and half. The first half, mani/pedi; the second, massage/facial. Following my experience with the mani/pedi [I was left feeling as if I wasnt good enough to be in the chair, much less the salon. Unfriendly, almost cold, even and my heels were just as bad when I got home as they were when I went in! Remember Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman? When she went into the store and the way they treated her? I felt like that] With a month between the appointments, I was really trepidatious regarding returning. If I was left feeling the way I did initially, how was I going to be treated when nearly naked!? I am SO glad I didnt cancel my appointment for the massage and facial. Those women made me feel so completely at ease; comfortable even. The massage was amazing and the facial was exceptional as well. My boyfriends smile when he saw me? Was worth it all. He said I was glowing, and I must have been from the inside out, because thats how I felt. Rejuvenated. Relaxed. and Mitchells? Redeemed. I look forward to booking a couples massage for the two of us in the not too distant future. Thank you Anne! Thank you Cierra!!

Ive been going here for YEARS. Every single hair stylist Ive had has been amazing, and I love to go there for just about everything. I go regularly for my hair, I get my eyebrows done there, I get pedicures, etc. I even had a pedicure party shortly before my wedding a few years ago, and it was a wonderful experience. Mitchells has fantastic service all around, and I cant see myself going anywhere else for anything they already provide. HIGHLY recommend.

I am giving 5 stars for the hair cut. My hair cut was done exactly how I asked for it and she styled it nicely. I had no problem with the price, and even tipped her well because I loved my cut so much. But I am going to say that I sat there in awkward silence a good chunk of the time and she really seemed like she was in a rush. I’ve been on the search for a stylist since I don’t have one so I might just give her another try because maybe she was having an off day? I might try someone else as every other stylist had smiles on their faces and talking having a good time with their clients. A bit disappointing the personality wasn’t quite there but she did quality work.

AJ is amazing. I have been seeing her for a while now and will not see anyone else. Her personality goes perfect with mine and she does amazing work. Could never say enough.

Mitchell’s is great. Cierra in Kenwood is the best for facials and Maddie in Tri-County is the amazing - has been doing my hair for years and I always get compliments on it.

I usually go to a different salon but ever since Covid they have been very short staffed and it’s really hard to get in, and they are kinda far from where I now live. Since I live over near Kenwood now and Mitchell’s is more well known I decided to try them out. I was looking at going from very dark to a kinda fiery red so knew it was gonna be a little complicated and of course called to book a consultation first. We talked through what I wanted to do and then to get me in sooner, they booked me with someone else, not who I had my consultation with, which was fine as the stylist I saw said they would discuss everything with who would be doing my hair and told the receptionist it was going to be a long appointment so to book me for the afternoon. When I got to my appointment a couple weeks later, the stylist had NO idea what I wanted done. I explained and showed her but asked if she had talked to the other stylist and she said no. I’m sorry but what was the point of the consultation then? Also she said they had not booked me for a long enough time and that I probably needed more like 3 and a half to 4 hours (which I thought is what I had). I had to request off for these appointments which ended up being a waste of time as I just left.

Jaylynn did a wonderful hair color and cut on me. I am more than pleased. She listened to what I wanted and was enthusiastic about her color recommendation . I’m so glad I told her Okay and had it done. My hair color has never been prettier.

Never had a bad experience with massages and facials. Its lack of professionalism when it comes to scheduling. I booked a service for my husband 2 months in advance. The week before they canceled his spa day because a massage therapist was sick. I booked my spa day 3 months in advanced. Yet 5 days before my spa day they canceled it again because a massage therapist was sick. You would think these people would accommodate us since the services were booked 2 and 3 months before hand. No. And the lady who called to cancel the service had the audacity to tell me everyone who was receiving services had already booked before us. Yeah Right! When I booked them I was told I could schedule anytime I wanted because the whole day was open. Liars! Ill be spending my money somewhere else from now on. I go to Tri County location. Im treated much better. I dont think the Kenwood location like black people.

Rowan did an amazing job on my hair she was super sweet, I love my cut and color. The salon has a great atmosphere everyone was very friendly and accommodating definitely felt pampered, will be back :)

Check in was fast and efficient. I cannot stress how wonderful my experience with Molly was. The color and cut are perfect. She was kind, professional and gave me exactly what I asked for. She made recommendations for products to purchase at Mitchells and I got a shampoo, conditioner and leave-in conditioner. I trust her and will definitely be scheduling with her again.

Nicholean always gives me a great cut. I have strayed and gone to other salons but I come back because I know what im going to get. No worries! My hair and color are always perfect.

I have been going to Mitchells since I was a little girl. But my past instances have been awful. Usually they are running late but on my first notiable experience, I scheduled a facial but they were more than 20 minutes late to pull me back and the technician ended up calling the wrong name and brought me back for a dermaplane instead of a facial and even started the service. When I tried to correct her she realized that she and another technician had messed up but didnt have time to do a full facial. Next, I went to get my hair dyed and when she dyed my hair it did not take but she still sent me on my way even though nothing looked different. Finally, last week, after a very long break from the salon, I went in to get my eyebrows waxed but they were 25 minutes late to bring me back for my appointment (the original appointment is only supposed to be 15) and they had to reschedule a new technician. These instances are a bit ridiculous and the only time I got a credit was on my eyebrows and they only gave me 5 dollars off. Bad service and bad responses to bad services.

I always love seeing Heather. Not only is she extremely skilled at her craft but she is also an amazing person. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my hair. This time, I didn’t really have an idea of what I wanted so I just let her do her thing and it’s perfect.

I sent my mother for a consult to advise on what needs to be done to her hair by a professional. I sent her with the expectation that she would leave with an appointment booked and be advised on the simple questions she needed answered. I was told she was taken to a station covered in dust. She was rushed thru and the individual who was assigned to her huffed/puffed the entire time totally uncollected. She did not know anything and nothing was accomplished. It is unacceptable. You do not let someone leave who booked a service you provide, drove there, waited and leave who no answers. There has to be a standard and a protocol or remove the service all together. If your stylist does not know they need to go find out. Hire a professional cleaning company and hold your employees to a standards that reflects on your business bc people are coming there to change their outlooks on life and as a salon that should be the core of your mission. Not one person should leave there not feeling uplifted & excited. It is the lamest thing I have ever heard and going forward I will be in attendance.

I just visited Mitchells last night and made an appointment on the fly. I have a wedding this weekend and my hair was in rough shape and in desperate need of a cut. Mitchells was able to get me in with Amber who did a fantastic job. She listened to what I wanted and gave some wonderful pointers about what I was doing wrong and could fix in the future to make sure my hair is in top top shape.i was very appreciative and I love my new cut!!

Relaxing experience....I enjoyed an aroma therapy massage with hot rocks and oils by Cynthia Rivers. She did an extraordinary job even with my pulled muscle which had me in severe sporadic pain. She was really gentle on the injured back muscle and applied the right amount of pressure every where else. I highly recommend her. I next went to have my pedicure. A charcoal jelly detox pedicure by Delia! Delia is awesome she always get my feet right and bedazzle my nails. She ids great at what she does. My only issue is I didnt have enough time on the massage. Next time Im going for 90 mins. Nice and clean salon, friendly staff and reasonably price.

Linda always does an amazing job cutting and styling my hair! She listens to my thoughts/ideas for my hair and consistently creates the look I am after. She is also super friendly and so is the whole Mitchell’s team! Love this place!

Sells top quality hair products, beauty and wellness. I previously dyed my own hair for over 15 years. Until the last time when I accidentally bought the bleach box. My sister recommended this place for me to go and rescue my hair! Bailey is our stylist and hair life saver!! While it is expensive, the quality and hair coloring expertise is worth every penny. I have thick hair, and with Baileys coloring skills, Im able to go 3 months between appointments!

I was nervous to make a hair appointment for highlights and a cut because Im not used to the different levels of hair expert. I read TONS of reviews looking for a well thought of stylist, so I decided to make my appointment with Rowan. She is amazing and did a fantastic job! So happy with my hair 😀

Have had my hair cut and colored at this location in December 2020 was very happy with the service. My sister and I decided to do a spa for our other sisters birthday. They my sister whose birthday it was to tell her they had to cancel her massage because her person would not be in. They apparently remedy that situation, however, they just called me and my other sister to say whoever what provided our services tomorrow werent available. They just ruined what was supposed to be a day spent celebrating our sisters birthday. I wont be patronizing any Mitchells in the future if this is how they provide service. These appointments were made over a month ago. They did nothing to accommodate, only asked if we wanted to reschedule in the future. No, my sisters birthday is now and not months from now when you have any opening. Very disappointed in this business.

First time visiting the Mitchell’s in Kenwood since they moved. Had an amazing experience with Emma and Hope. Love my haircut and my spa treatment was very relaxing.

Sandra is my stylist at the Kenwood location. When she cuts my hair, it just falls into place with little to no effort and looks like I spent 30 minutes on it. That’s a great cut. She’s extremely precise and has a wonderful personality. Thanks so much!

I had a great experience today , short notice booking and everything went smoothly . Tamela - provided excellent care on my face with derma planning - she educated me on my skin/ face . Provided excellent feedback & what I should do moving forward , products to use, etc to continue my beautiful glow . Toni - on the anti- stress massage , was much needed & she delivered . Omg fell asleep like a baby it was so great & refreshing . Her touch was just amazing , very soothing . Didn’t want to end my massage! Definitely would recommend Tamela & Toni - they took great care of me today .

I grew up in Cincinnati but moved away after college and just moved back about a year ago. My first thought of who should do my hair for my wedding was Mitchells because that was my family’s go to salon growing up. I was so disappointed in their events services they were slow to get back to me both via phone and email and eventually I decided I needed to look elsewhere. I decided to turn to the Knot to see what other hair salon services I could turn to and I found Rollers and Rouge which luckily was a much better experience.

So. Relaxing. I nearly fell asleep during my massage. It helped me wind down after a stressful week. Will definitely be going back!

I have scheduled multiple times for a couples massage weeks/months in advance. One right before we got married that was scheduled wrong and one right after...that was canceled because she had the flu. I know they do fabulous work but wish they had backups...I got a babysitter twice and have been looking forward to getting pampered and instead ended up using the sitter still but cleaning. So one for being hard to schedule and then canceling and messing up previous scheduled appointments. I know they can do better than this.

As a regular customer of Mitchells for decades, I love the salon. I alway leave a positive review when I get an email prompting a review. The last couple months I have had excellent color services, air forming, and appointments for my kids. A few weeks ago I had a spa day. I have had numerous spa days, probably 10 total, when my schedule would allow. This time it was not at the level that I have grown accustomed to as a Mitchells customer. Firstly, there is no lockers, and I had brought along my work for the 7 hour day (breaks in between services), as well as a large coat and purse, etc. After that information, I was informed there would be no, robing up and waiting in the relaxation room to enjoy a hot beverage and some relaxing in seclusion before and between services. I did expect some changes for covid rules, but not being allowed a place to rest between services or even a drink was a shock, especially being 5 months pregnant. I was informed there would be no Cheesecake Factory catered lunch. Again, something I grew to expect and is a shock as I had only had water for breakfast, since I fast until 10am. Not being able to have a single drink, and now no food, was extremely miserable and not in line with a spa day. By the time I got to my final service 8 hours alter, I was suffering from a horrible headache, just from thirst and hunger. Finally, when I scheduled the spa day, I specifically advised the receptionist, I was in person, that I wanted a herbal poultice facial and that I would pay the difference if there was one in the service charge from the standard facial. When the facialist finished my service, I realized I had a regular stander facial. The entire managing of the days schedule was based on the first service being a facial and that specific one. When I got to my last service, I saw that I had been booked for the wrong facial. All in all, I love Mitchells, but this was not a spa day. The drastic lack of accommodations, beverages, or lunch should have been reflected in a reduction of price. I have always been a loyal and patient customer, like when the Shimmer Lights I purchased at the salon turned my hair purple. I paid the corrective color fee, even though I didnt feel it was really my fault that the shampoo reacted to my hair that way. Anytime there has been a scheduling conflict or issue, I am flexible, but again, the spa day was not at all what I have grown to expect and after talking to my daughter who had a spa day elsewhere, she did not experience the same restrictions, so I am not sure all is being done that can be done to provide stellar spa service, and if its not, again, the price should reflect the drastic changes. We had an appointment @12, they took us back at 12:50; walk ins got in before us. I had scheduled for coloring, a cut, and blowout for my daughter; when the stylist didn’t do it I brought it to her attention she got mad and threw things down. At that point I told her just to forget it! My stylist asked what color I’d like a said maybe a brown could I see some colors, she came back with something already made and colored my hair. She to was to cut my hair, but obviously forgot and when she finished coloring, not even drying it she said have a great day. At that point it wasn’t even worth speaking up! The rudest people ever! I would not recommend the Hyde Park location to my worst enemy!

This was a GREAT Experience. Made it a GIRLS day with Mom and sister. The staff here was AWESOME; very tentative and courteous to patrons. Cant wait for my next visit - The Relaxation Package is EVERYTHING, a great way to trulyPamper yourself!

The Kenwood location is by far the best Mitchells location! I had a full body massage with Cynthia R. and she did AMAZING! She asked my preferences and listened providing appropriate pressure and temperature throughout the entire experience. I love it!

Had my haircut with Heather and she really is good at what she does, our conversation was mostly about hair and i loved the fact that she knew my hair type so well.I also have had haircut with Shelly , she is awesome.Would also like to mention Manisha she thread my brows and she very good at waxing does a very clean job.

My friend and I went to Kenwood Mitchells Salon today for our birthday celebration of facials and lunch. I had Kennedy for my appointment! She was awesome! She not only made me feel relaxed and comfortable but did a wonderful job with the whole facial experience as well. I have had many before, all at Mitchells, and this ranks right up there as one of the best ever! Thank you, Kennedy! I will be back!!

Carmen is a godsend! Not only is she great to chat with, her pedicures are IMPECCABLE! If you want to relax, go see Carmen (but don’t take up all the time slots and make it hard for me to book 😂). I had a really hard time prior to COVID finding someone in Cincinnati I liked. I would literally schedule long layovers in Atlanta as I had a really amazing technician at the Atlanta airport. But then I found Carmen and now my feet are gorgeous all the time.

Expert air forming blowout for my curly hair as well as color. (Jen Schwegman). My appointments are like visiting my good friends as we have a good time.

I had the relaxation package. The most calming experience was the massage. He was awesome. Rachel my facialist was top notch. The mani/pedi left a lot to be desired. Next time I will book the facial and massage only.

I enjoy a 90 minute massage at the Hyde Park salon. Mitchell’s is always very professional. Customer service is top rate. My massage therapist asked several questions, to ensure my massage was what I needed. You pay for what you get. Clean, friendly, professional service.

Patty at the Kenwood location stepped in to do my pre-vacation cut and color, when my usual stylist had to cancel my appt. She did a fabulous job, and was very kind. That location, along with my usual West Chester location, is gorgeous and very welcoming.

10/10 do not recommend wasting your time booking an appointment with this salon as they are incredibly unprofessional. I had booked a massage and was really looking forward to it! I arrived to my appointment to only be made aware that the masseuse has called into work sick. I understand that things come up, and people need to use their sick time. What I don’t understand is the lack of professionalism and lack of communication regarding this. No one could be bothered to call and inform me that my appointment would need to be cancelled or rescheduled. My biggest pet peeve is someone wasting my time, which is exactly what happened today. For a nationally recognized company, you think there would be policies and trainings in place to prevent situations as such from happening, clearly not.

Went to Stephanie today for a color correction (Stephanie was NOT the original stylist), and I will continue to go back to her! Shes AMAZING!!! I was concerned about the damage that the other person had done, so it was recommended that I come in for a consultation! BEST IDEA EVER! Stephanie took the time to look at my hair, look at the pics of what I wanted, and to formalize her plan of attack...all in 15 minutes...Ive never been happier with the color, cut, or style! Its true you get what you pay for! Thank you SO much Stephanie for a job well done!!!

It was my first visit and I was surprised by the reasonable prices for a haircut. Bri was friendly and cut my hair exactly as I asked. It was a new style. She checked with me during the cut and gave me styling tips. I was very happy with the visit. Thank you Bri!

I love coming to Mitchell’s for my pedicures and have always had excellent service no matter who the tech is! It’s the only place I’ll go in fact.On my most recent visit, however, I was disappointed to see that the nail color samples have been replaced by a new slimmed down “ chart”. I can see how this would in theory be easier to handle and manipulate, but I found it to be very irritating and slightly stressful. The color swatches are super small and are not at all representative of the actual color of the product. There is no way to see the frost or the sparkle or to in any way gauge how the color will look on. There has to be a better way to showcase the amazing range of polished offered so that customers can make a decision based off an accurate representation. My technician had to pull 5 bottles for me to see what they looked like and non looked like the image on the new cards. I will continue to use Mitchell’s as the only place I trust do pamper my feet, but I would hope management will listen to feedback and come up with a better means By which the clients can pick colors.

I love love love this salon. They are so hip and trendy and have great marketing too. Every time I walk in the salon Im amazed at the decor and always leave feeling and looking great. I usually see Chemere for my nails at Hyde park but this location deserves some love too!

Horrible experience, I would not recommend this place! My husband scheduled me for a spa day package as a push present after having our baby 3 weeks ago plus Mothers Day is soon. I was supposed to receive a manicure, pedicure, facial, hair service, massage, a meal, and makeup. I only received the facial and the hair service..the mani/pedi and massage they could not accommodate last minute, my hair took so long that I couldnt have the meal, and because they couldnt do my massage I would have had to wait an hour for the makeup service which I was very irritated at that point so I said forget it! The mani/pedi and massage were more important to me than makeup and they couldnt even do those. Not to mention, my haircut was not to my liking. This was my first spa day experience and I will likely never try to get one again. My husband was very upset as well seeing as this was a gift from him!

Booked a spa day massages, manicures and pedicures for my husband and our mothers for Mother’s Day months in advance. One week out, 2 massage therapists canceled. The night before at 9:12pm the remaining 2 therapists canceled. Barely an apology, no accommodation, and no other options to celebrate Mother’s Day. Extremely disappointing first experience.

The woman that did my hair on my wedding day made me 45 minutes late for my own wedding. Ill never get that time back with my husband and my family.This is the appointment in question. But as i was looking for wedding pictures to print off, I jad a moment of sadness that I dont have pictures with certain family members because Iwas late. So this is something worth mentioning.

I came in for a simple cute and highlight. I have natural blond hair that I do very little to. When I tell you this hair dresser RUINED my hair that is a understatement. The next day when I wash my hair IT WAS I RIPPING OFF AT THE ENDS! My hair is fried and looks awful. I don’t understand how someone can be hired there and do such a bad job. I would never tell anyone to go and I will never be back.

My stylist, Christy, listened to my concerns about my hair and delivered exactly what I asked for. She’s always so pleasant to be around! The salon is clean, the energy level good but also relaxing.

I had a horrible experience on my wedding day with airbrush makeup by Pamela. The color didnt match my skin and it looked like a mortician did my makeup. She told me to wait and see if it grew on me and come back after I get my hair done if I still dont like it. After getting my hair done I still didnt like it and went back to get it fixed. At this point she had another person and couldnt help me. So, I asked the front desk if anyone else was available and there wasnt. After Pamela was done with her other client she didnt even offer to help me and watched me take my own makeup off. At this point I only had 30 min to get to my wedding and I had to reply my makeup. It ended up looking wayyy better after I did it and I am not even a makeup artist or close to it.Oh and I tried to call before my appointment because I couldnt find the location. They placed me on hold immediatly after I called and after about 2 min on hold I hear them pick the phone up but they just hung up.But, it doesnt end there after about a couple days after my wedding Madison from Mitchells calls me and leaves a message and apologizies for what happened. The same day someone else calls me and asked me how my services went and I told her what happened. She said she will have Madison call me back. Its been 3 weeks now and havent heard back from anyone.

Shawna is seriously the best. She makes bikini waxes comfortable and a pleasant experience. She’s so efficient and personable, there’s no one else I would rather go to. I cannot recommend her enough!

Kristy Jo Driver is amazing! She takes her time and makes sure you are happy. I love visiting her and getting my hair cut and styled.

Prepare to enter an office building and get off on the second floor. I prefer to just walk in street level, but once you enter, the spa is beautiful and updated. My husband booked the day for me, but they couldnt schedule manicure or pedicure, so after my relaxing facial and massage we went to ambiance for nails. My massage therapist was just ok, nothing to rave about and not terrible either, she was too talkative and my esthetician who i had many questions for barely could explain anything she was doing. I think its a must do experience for pampering. Massage Envy is more convenient though!

Excellent pedicure. Wont ever go back for another manicure. It lasted 3 days before the polish was scratched and three of the gel nails applied came off. Too far and too expensive to return to have fixed. Sad because I enjoyed the pedicure there. Ive had much cheaper manicures that looked better and lasted longer.

Im very disappointed. Ive been a client since I was 22 yrs of age. I am 30 yrs old today. I come for chin wax and other services. My main priority is my chin. I am aware of the service that is due to me. This company has really got away from their morals. The service at Kenwood location is terrible. It has gotten worse since the pandemic. The turnover rate for employees is ridiculous. Everytime I come its someone new. The employees dont know anything about service nor shows empathy. The wax and strips are harsh. The workers feel as though they cant be replaced or though its not other estheticians out here. The wax is harsh and strips they will tear your skin up and dont care. Please reconsider your services and research before patronizing Mitchells Day Spa.

Mitchell’s Kenwood is a great place. It is very clean, employees are sweet and kind. I accidentally was recommended to Bailey a couple of years ago. Bailey Elliott is such a knowledgeable, personable, caring and friendly girl.

Ive waited about 4 weeks since my hair appointment to write this review, and heavily debated writing this, but I need to address my concerns.I came in for a very subtle blonde balayage style for my dark blonde/light brown hair. The coloring never looked subtle or natural after going in two days in a row. The blonde coloring the first day was a very cool blonde tone, the second day I went to fix the color (as it looked very streaky and exactly like a foil highlight that I used to get years ago), the coloring was much warmer. I asked for extremely subtle blonde at the front of my hair, but not touching up to my roots. Instead, I got a brassy yellow blonde chunk in the front of my hair, up to the roots, that is not subtle or natural - even after speaking with another stylist before my second appointment and after showing photos describing what I do and do not want.I greatly appreciated Mitchells time and flexibility in getting me back in the salon the next day since I wasnt satisfied after my first appointment. Yet, I honestly feel angry and disappointed 4 weeks later that my description of subtle natural blonde was then done as a chunky blonde streak to the front of my hair.Both days the discussion of the color/style were done in a few minutes. No discussion of the tone of the color blonde, the shade of blonde - nothing. I spoke up and explained what I wanted as much as I could, asked questions and made sure the stylist repeated back what I wanted. Their wording back to me was what I wanted - the outcome was not. Looking back, I wish I would have suggested a different shade of blonde, maybe a color closer to my natural color to go with my goal of the subtle look. I wish I didnt feel so rushed during my explanation, but I trusted the professionals when they described what I wanted back to me.I left the second appointment saying my hair looked fine, knowing it may grow on me. My concerns from the first appointment were somewhat fixed, but with now with new, different concerns. After 4 weeks I know I need to go to a different salon to get my hair corrected. I am not looking to go to Mitchells again for hair coloring.

Ive found that its trial and error with getting the cut & color you want, but afterward it was so worth it. I got the best cut in the last 5 years from my stylist Salta. And jozy does my color perfectly. I did hair and make-up there for my wedding and it was ok. They are always professional, on time, and the salon is a luxurious experience.

I used to love getting a massage here but theyve just gone down hill. I asked for harder pressure right off the bat and it never got better. She also started me on my stomach, massaged my feet and then my face and head. She held my neck up weird and tried to massage my back at the same time. It was the worst one ive ever had.

Though I dont get my hair done often - when I do come back to see Salta its like coming and seeing an old friend. She knows when I say I trust you that I mean different, not crazy/daring and I love that about her. Shes always willing to give me sound advice when it comes to my hair and is a wealth of knowledge of the products that will get me the look Im going for. LOVE Kenwood Mitchells and LOVE Salta!

One word to describe my NYE beauty prep at Mitchells: Terrible. I was stressed the entire time and I cried the car ride home.Im from San Francisco and was in town for the Holidays to visit family. I booked a blowout and makeup appointment based on the wonderful reviews I read online. When I arrived at the salon, I was looking forward to relaxing before a long evening ahead of me.At check-in, I was asked to sit in the waiting area. The front desk lady did not ask me if I wanted anything to drink or about my time frame. About 5min past my appointment, I was greeted by my hairstylist. She immediately took me to the shampoo station BEFORE consulting me on what look I was going for.The Dry Bar (where I go to in SF) always consult before washing because it affects the products they use on your hair during the wash and after. I would urge the staff to implement this feature because it really does make a difference.At the shampoo station, I noticed a blonde woman getting extensions, Great Length Extensions (CRINGE). I get that this is Ohio, but for a high-end salon to offer Great Lengths fusion extensions is beyond me. Great Length fusion bonds place stress and tension on the hair shaft which could cause damage and irritation leading to hair loss (sometimes balding), and damage to the hair follicle. I urge anyone considering extensions to do their research on fusion extensions. BIG NO especially when there are much better alternatives.At my stylists station, I told her I wanted beach waves that couldve easily been obtained with a 1in wand. She never applied heat protectant spray and she used a plastic brush on my fine hair while it was soaking wet putting unnecessary tension on my bleached hair and causing lots of breakage. Education tip: Dont take a brush to soaking wet hair, let it dry a little first and then use a boar bristle brush to enhance shine and preserve the integrity of the hair. I wouldve brought my Mason Pearson had I known they use plastic brushes. After all the damage being inflicted to my hair, I didnt even get the results I wanted and my blowout lasted a total of two days. Im used to it lasting a week with dry shampoo spray and minor touchups.Then for the makeup. . .I was directed back to the lobby to wait for my makeup appointment. About 15min after my appointment time, the makeup artist finally comes back to get me. . .OMG!! This is where it goes from bad to REALLY REALLY BAD!She doesnt even ask me what type of skin I have and just starts pulling out foundations. I tell her I have dry skin, as in theres a desert on my face and that I will need a serum and moisturizer applied to my face before we even start. Reluctantly she goes to the back and just applied a crappy moisturizer. Whatever. Then she starts applying foundation, completely skipping the primer part, which I desperately needed because I tend to be ivory/pink.So heres the deal, Mitchells offers Jane Iredale which is similar to Bare Essentials or minerals or whatever its called and its absolute rubbish. Pressed powder on a dry face, just sits, and so my foundation sat, all while being told how ahh-mazing Jane Iredale is and how I should buy it. My mua literally used the entire time I was sitting in her chair to sales pitch me and it was completely uncomfortable. For my eyes, I requested a smoky cat eye. The finished result, smoky but no cat eye. Eyelash application, the cheap kind of eyelashes you buy from a CVS drugstore.This is where I start panicking: Im running behind because of her tardiness, Im getting nervous, Im hating everything she does to my face, Im getting annoyed with her sales pitch, Im about to have an anxiety attack and so I conclude my appointment mid face and leave her chair.I LEFT HER CHAIR.I left her chair before we got to blush, and contouring and lips.I have never done that before but it was so bad, so bad.

Pedicure was great,Abby was really nice.Disappointed my massage was canceled Bella was nice in trying to acomadate me but I was really frustrated, I wont go back.

Visited the Kenwood location. Professional spa. Upscale and convenient location. Appointment and check in was a breeze.Had a 60 min massage session with Alaina and was very pleased. Alaina took time to understand my issues and was able to relieve my back pain in the session.Highly recommended.Yogi

I recieved a hot stone massage from a kind woman named Dawn. It was the best massage I have recieved in the past 20 years that I have gotten massages. She gave the perfect amount of pressure. I left feeling amazing! I highly recommend Dawn.

I come every year on my birthday and the staff is absolutely wonderful. I have 5 special needs children and as a single working parent things can become overwhelming. I spent a whole day this time and it was wonderful!

Always get quality service from the staff and stylists. Prices are pretty much standard with the industry right now. Always offered a drink and other comforts. Heather is the best!

My stylist (Zoey @ Kenwood) does an excellent job of not only being punctual and understanding my hair, but also is excellent at interpersonal skills which makes the whole experience all the better.

Mitchell is best salon i had greg faith aways been long time now i brought my baby to cut hair he was 2 plus years old its hes first time hair cutting so he maybe scare or something he is not setting the way he has to sit and off course none off the kids sit greg did not cut hes hair bec he said i cant not cut hes hair i say u just start cutting he will cry as hell but he did not i got little mad like common can u pls cut hes hair he said no i got little mad and i was left from there and after 2 weeks or so i try to book my hair appoinment and i heard he cant not cut my hair i have to go with linda. now onward manager also explain even i told him i have not told greg anything he just putting me with someone els without any discuses he should talk to me i try to call left message so many times nothing response. but manager so nice her name is chris she help me hope this thing was help full and i can go back with greg faith bec i still missing the way he cut my hair please help me thanks..

Always the best. I have been going there for over 15 years. Great service. Excellent work. It is expensive but quality. And if for some reason there is an issue it is taken care of instantly. I would not pay the money I pay if there wasnt quality and great service.

I feel very pampered when I get a massage at Mitchells. You get a fluffy robe to wear and after I just melt in the relaxation room.

I do not recommend this salon. I got a balayage and paid around $200 and my hair looked the same. I went back and got it redone and barely saw any difference.

My stylist and her assistant were very professional, very easy to work with, fun to work with, and I LOVE the result!

I went to Mitchells last week and received terrible service. They totally went against everything I wanted. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone because this isnt the first time I received bad service. They would not give my money back for totally screwing up my hair and I have never received such poor customer service.

Great service. Run pretty much on time. Usually only wait 5-10 minutes from scheduled time. Staff is friendly. Has a good assortment of products. Rowan is great.
