I’ve been coming here for now at least 2 years for weekly massages with Kevin. Kevin has been an important part of my pain team.I’ve been working with chiropractors, personal trainers, physical therapist, pain doctors, surgeons and many other medical professionals continuously along side Kevin to help me ease the arthritis flare up when they pop up.Kevin has been and continues to be one of the main reasons I get a short break from pain. In fact, Following my most recent surgery for my arthritis Kevin was the only reason I received a break after being in 10/10 pain for several day. would 110% recommend working with Kevin if you have any chronic pain. I also really enjoy the customer service I always get each time with the amazing manager.

Just had a great one hour body massage at the Citrus Heights Footy Rooty. While my massage therapists was not fully fluent in English, his pressure and technique were perfect and I regretted not opting for the 90 minute session. I have learned to tell the re-receptionist my preferences, and she communicates to the therapist ensuring my desired pressure and focus on specific areas. When you call for an appointment, you can also request a male or female therapist. Great prices. Close to both Citrus Heights and Fair Oaks.

I saw Lily for a massage and it was the best massage I have ever had. Due to the language barrier between us, she whipped out her I phone and we used her translation app. If you like deep tissue massage I highly recommend Lily.

I went in for foot reflexology cause I have a lot of pain in my arches with plantar fasciitis. I didn’t realize it was a full body massage. I wish more time was spent in my feet. I would’ve told the masseuse but he didn’t speak English. The massage felt nice but wasn’t exactly what I wanted.

Me and my husband got a couples massages today and it was awesome. He had Lily and I had Kevin, they were great. Definitely will be going back.

Have just done chair massages so far but definitely worth it! Doing longer one next time!! Cant wait:) For sure recommend.

I love the quality and convenience. I’m a high volume bartender and my neck and shoulders are always an absolute mess. I’m there for pain relief and preventative so I don’t need an overpriced spa setting.$20 for 20 min I can go frequent. Mark is my guy! I always just Walk in too. Easy, affordable and life changing! I’ve. Also had great couples massage for $100/hr for both of us, full body, in private room. Amazing!

I asked over the phone for a one hour massage. I arrived, and the same receptionist I spoke with asked if I wanted a 90-minute or 60-minute massage, to which I confirmed again that I wanted a 60-minute massage. The massage itself was great, but at some point, I was halfway asleep and had lost the concept of time. Towards the end of the massage, the receptionist popped in and brought up the one hour massage in a different language, and I thought she was just giving him a reminder. It turns out it was too late, and about 90 minutes had already passed. I was blatantly clear about the service I wanted from the beginning. They eventually offered a discount, but I still paid more than what I came in for and left feeling a bit swindled.

This past xmas I was given a gift card for a 1hr massage . My first impression was how dirty the walls were as well as the sheets looked like they hadn’t been changed. I informed the male masseuse that I wanted him to solely massage my neck & shoulder areas which he ignored, he used his arm & elbow to dig into my back so much that I have numerous bruises all over my back. I requested atleast 4 times that he use a lighter pressure which he briefly would do and then couple mins later he would resort back to digging into my back again. As I was leaving I was yelled at and tried to bully me into giving a tip which isnt right. I refused and just walked out! The following day I was complaining to a friend on how sore I was after getting the massage so he took a look at my back and told me I had numerous bruises on my back from where he had dug into my back. This was the worst massage place ever, I would never go back again.

The service is very warm. The masseuse is very professional and the price is cheap. I will come back next time.

I’ve been coming to see Kevin for roughly a 1 year to a 1.5 years. I’ve seen many massage therapist over the years due to my back injuries but Kevin stands out due to his ability to pay attention to how your body is reacting to the massage. I’ve never left a massage with Kevin dissatisfied as he continues to out due himself each time I see him. I’ve been seeing Kevin on a weekly (mostly) basis for about 2.5 hour-3 hour full body massage. Management is also incredibly kind, accommodating and overall makes the experience so much better. I highly recommend this place.

I have been getting massages for 10 years and this was great. Great value. I was impressed how strong she was able to massage me. If you don’t like it strong tell them ! They will always adjust to your comfort level. She got all my tight spots 🤙 since the massage is such a great value, yes they expect a tip. This is normal for this type of massage place. The massages are cheaper so you tip more. There are plenty of massages places that charge $100-150 for just 60 minutes.

Amy gave me the best massage Ive had in years! I love the technique Footy Rooty uses where first they massage you with towels over your body for what seems like at least 20 minutes to warm up the muscles, then without charging extra like some places, they place heated stones on those key places on your back then rub them on the muscles they just massaged. Then when youre feeling all relaxed and happy, they use the warm oil and massage you all over. (I chose the 80 minute foot and body massage).First she massaged my scalp, then face then neck and then did my arms, front and back, and after I thought my massage was almost over, she had me lay on my back and she massaged the front of my arms and entire legs including my feet, after they soaked in a comfortably hot foot bath and I was in heaven! If youve never had your entire foot massaged before, check them out. From the bottoms to the tops, its sheer heaven!I definitely plan on returning!!!

My husband and I went today and we both agreed our massages were awesome. He got combination back and foot, and I chose foot. We really liked our massage therapists. We intend to go here regularly every month. As with everything, it depends on what style of massage you like and how much pressure. I used to be a certified massage therapist so I can relate how difficult it is to do this and how much they work. I agree with the other review that says bc the massages are cheaper, the right thing to do is to tip more. Thank You, May and Kevin!

Got in about 7pm on a Saturday, quite atmosphere.Kevin really is amazing! I came here after looking at reviews with him, he really tailors the massage on areas that need to be tended too. Plus I went in on my birthday and they gave me a cake when I left, it was super sweet.

I got the 80 minute massage. This was the best , and most therapeutic massage Ive ever had. Jack was very thorough and , used the right pressure. I had knots in my neck, and lower back, and shoulder area. I didnt tell him, but he felt them and took the time to massage them in a very therapeutic manner. Very impressed , and will definitely go back.

Love Footy Rooty. The staff is so friendly! The foot massage is really a whole body massage with more time spent on feet. Its either $40 or $45 for an hour, I cant remember. You leave your clothes on so make sure to wear a loose comfortable outfit. It makes a great date night!

Kevin did my massage. I am the owner of Straight Up Curls around the corner. I am a big girl. 5’8” 280 lbs. Kevin was very kind. Never made me feel uncomfortable. He worked sooooo hard on me. It’s been years since I’ve had a massage. My body has really been hurting me, especially my right side. I did not tell him that, he doesn’t understand English, but he could tell that is where the most work was needed. I have been working a lot of 12 hour days. This was a deep tissue massage and he used all his strength to work out the tightness in my body! At times it was painful, but I could feel the knots in my body leave. I did the 90 minute body and foot massage. I will be back. I tipped Kevin $100 because I have had $200 massages before and this was way better! He deserved every penny!! Thank You Kevin so much! You will see me again!!

Been here 4 times at time of review. Amazing spot! Me and my fiance love this place. Its super clean and affordable. They are also very friendly and professional. They can usually do walk ins, although you should make an appointment if possible. Try the foot/body combo... its kind of awesome. Last thing - something that is important to me is the music. At this place it is soft and appealing and not distracting or obnoxious. We got a massage last year somewhere else and the nature sounds were so aggressive and loud that it made me anxious the whole time lol. No thanks.

I tried this place because Reflexology is too far from me. The first time I went, I got the one hour full body. It was awesome! So great, that I returned two weeks later with my mom for the two hour massage. Mistake. Thought it would be an additional hour of the private room massage that I recd the first time. Wrong. They put us both in the same room to undress, left us there for some time, started late, and talked to each other through the massage. After the first hour, they had us get dressed and then move to the public massage space for the foot massage. There we were treated to the lovely sounds of another customer trying to communicate with one of the other masseuses (sarcasm). They shorted us about 20 minutes between the talking, changing rooms and then stopping early. We were rushed off the chairs and new customers were watching us get up so they could take the chairs. Just not a good experience.

I went for an hour foot massage and only got a 25-30 minute foot massage the rest was head( even though I said I didn’t want it), neck, arms then back. My feet did not get the massage that I paid for. I think getting half an hour foot massage might be better because that way they can only really focus on your feet. I will continue searching for a place that does real foot massages that focus on reliving foot pain and ankle tension. This spot was definitely not for me and it was not what I expected or wanted.

My husband & I had an 8 oclock reservation last night, so we arrived at about 7:45. Several other people started showing up within the next few minutes, but somehow they all were ushered back for their appointments ahead of us even though we had been waiting longer. We werent invited back until about 15 minutes after our appointment time, right before we were about ready to walk out of there. We were happy we stayed. Our massages were enjoyable for the both of us, and neither of us had any complaints regarding the skills or professionalism of our masseuses. We left feeling refreshed & relaxed.

Service was ok, not the best but ok, what mostly upsetting me that after massage i gave $7 tips for masseur, he gave me the nasty attitude about tips. Prices for massage went up for $5 (in last 6 months), in my opinion tips must be optional, and talk to customer back, why not enough tips... its to much.

Called about 3:40 today and made a 6:30 appointment. Having a rough day at work and really needed to relax. They called me at 5:45 to reschedule or cancel the appointment…45 minutes before I was supposed to be there while I was driving home from work. Great business model!

Footy Rooty is a hidden gem! They are very professional and affordable!! My first time going there and Kevin was outstanding! He did a full body deep tissue massage with great respect It was obvious he is very experienced and consistent with just the right pressure. Found my new Go-To! 💕

Kevin was fantastic! Definitely not a one-size-fits-all massage. He knew exactly where I needed the most attention without my telling him. Not a relaxing massage, more of a therapeutic massage which is just what I need. Highly recommend!

Lovely place! After a few weeks of running my pups...i needed a footy! And had an amazing footy massage 😍 here! Nice and clean and reasonable prices! Ohh afterwards got some of the best tacos out in the parking lot...guess they are there after 7pm. Great massage and great food to go....heck yeah 👍! Lets goooooo

This place a gem. They went above and beyond for our massages. They remembered I said it was my husbands birthday and as we were leaving they surprised him with a small birthday cake. Such a sweet surprise. Highly recommend

No complaints, very strong massage. I could barely handle it. Ouch and eek. But when she was finished. My back pain was dissolved. I recommend this place to any one experiencing unresolved knots in the back. She was relentless on getting each and every knot out even through the pain. Thank you.

Now called footy rooty and not new happy day spa. Same great service and unbeatable pricing on body massages ($50 and hour) and foot massages. Asked for deep tissue and definitely had those back knots worked on very well! Will definitely be coming back!

This used to be a Happy Day Spa and is now owned by Footy Rooty. It is very clean and the people who run the business are lovely. Unlike the Happy Day Spa, you can remove clothing to your comfort level. The rooms are individual, simple and immaculate. The massage table was comfortable and heated if you want. This was first time at this location. Toni did an excellent deep tissue massage. I will be back.

I just came back from the most amazing massage at this under new ownership location that used to be Happy Day Spa. Their walls are a bright fresh lime green and the place was clean and the music was so relaxing. They re-opened early February, thank goodness! My body is SO happy today after seeing Ms. Coco at Footy Rooty. Thank you Coco! See you soon. (Of course I couldnt leave a review without saying Rooty Tooty Footy Rooty.) 🤪

I wasnt gonna leave a bad review until the guy at the front desk stopped me and said that I forgot to leave a tip, demanding one because I said the massage was okay. I didnt forget because I wasnt going to, I paid for services but I didnt feel like they went beyond my expectations. First of all there is no private room, so we had to change in open space. It was freezing in there. The atmosphere isnt relaxing at all, everything is old and squeaky, no music, no pleasent smell. The massage wasnt the best, she kept hurting me even after I told her numerous times to go easy. I left more tense than when I came in. I never felt so uncomfortable, I know I definitely wont be coming back.

Terrible communication. Couples massage was terrible we were both hurting. Insisted we tipped, which is terribly tacky. Would not come back unless you feel like toughening up for an upcoming UFC fight. Did I mention the whole experience was terrible?

The 35.00 foot massage gives you a foot soak and full body massage BUT you keep your clothes on and its not a private room. Its an excellent value for a quick rub down. DONT WASH YOUR HAIR FIRST BECAUSE THEY RUB YOUR HEAD AND YOUR HAIR GETS GREASY but its worth the hassle. I keep going back...

Terrible customer service!! Massage was too rough and masseuses couldnt understand English to understand the request of lighter pressure, leaving us both in pain today. I didnt feel a tip was earned, but I decided to leave one anyway.. When I asked for change for a $20 bill the masseuse was visibly upset that he didnt just give him the whole bill!! Im definitely NOT coming back here!!

This was the worst massage Ive ever received. I am a 110 pound female but she treated me like I was a 300 pound guy! I said it was too hard, but she seemed to get rougher.She literally hit me on my feet and along my spine several times. During half of the massage I was under the covers and she applied all her weight on my arms and legs. I thought my bones were going to break from the pressure. One of my wrists is still sore.I tried to explain that I had a headache/ migraine, had a cold/was sick, etc....but there was a language barrier and the massage was not personalized to my needs at all.My students gave me a gift card which I used to purchase a Groupon here. Unfortunately I felt worse after the massage.

I get adjustments and massages regularly because I work for a chiropractor. On Tuesday, I went to New Happy Day Spa on greenback lane because my sister bought a groupon for mothers day. However my experience was less then pleasant as my masseuse did not do a good job and put me in a lot of pain. He was extremely rough like he was starting a chainsaw or something, I had asked him a few times to maybe go a little easier, but he continued to work at the same rough pace. It was almost like he was trying to adjust me the way he tugged and pulled at my body. I know that some people prefer a harder massage, but if you are getting a massage because youve been injured or just want to relax, I would go elsewhere as these masseuse do not listen to their clients. I have been adjusted 3 times this week and have had to get another massage to try to decrease the pain. I have had many massages in the past but have never been as sore as I am today. I am not blasting New Happy Day Spa as I have been to other chains and have had a pleasant experiences, but the one on Greenback needs to seriously improve their masseuse techniques

Massage was ok (felt very sore for a few days) but, I had purchased a Groupon an upgraded the time. I had to put the tip and upgrade on my credit card. I went to my car afterwards and started checking all my messages about five minutes later I heard someone yelling. I looked over and the masseuse was standing outside my window saying you no like, you no like? no tip no tip she was very angry. I tried to tell her that the man had her tip. She just gave me dirty looks and yelled until the guy at the front desk yelled for her. It was so rude I will never go back.

Horrible! My husband specifically requested a female and after digging her knuckles into his back for 30 minutes another man walked in demanding a female so she left him to give the other guy a massage and they had a male finish the massage. To make matters worse the receptionist told my husband he should leave a tip for the male masseuse. Weve been going to other happy day spas for year and my husband said it was the worst massage hes ever had!! Would suggest going to another location!

I had a 90 minute massage, the massage was ok, but the room smelled of chlorine (glad its clean, but wow thats not a relaxing smell) and it was silent which made it a little awkward. Before doing a temple and scalp massage the masseuse used germ-x antibacterial gel which has a strong smell and burned a bit on my recently sun over-exposed hairline. All in all, the 90 minutes went fast and it wasnt a bad experience, it just wasnt as soothing and relaxing as I had hoped it would be.

For everyone complaining about the tip thing most of them work basically only for tips... that’s why the massage is so cheap. The tip goes to the masseuse the rest goes to location. If you goto someone who doesn’t rely on tips they typically charge 160 to 200 for an hour massage. So don’t be stingy. And keep that in mind

If I could give zero stars I would. The guy Tony at the front desk needs to get a job WITHOUT customer service because he doesnt know what that is! When calling to make the appointment he was short, rude and cut me off multiple times. After my massage he told me I owed more $ then just my Groupon because of different location costs... Never heard of such a thing. Upset I told him to take it out of the tip and he made a scene stating WOW. WHAT A JERK. NEVER GO HERE.

I had an hour of reflexology and it was fantastic. The young lady who worked on me was very good. I have always had good service here.

I found my Coco! Coco is the BEST! She was at the Granite Bay location on Sierra College & it closed down after shut down. But, on a happier note I found her at this location. The only thing I would change is the green walls. Its not very relaxing & doesnt set the mood walking in / out.

Ive been in pain for nearly a month after getting a massage there. I will Never return again. I was massaged by a tall male and mid way the massage sat down on a rolling chair and Massaged me with only one hand. It felt like he was falling asleep. Terrible experience

I dont think everyone is licensed. Hopefully you get a good massage, my masseuse didnt know what a pressure point was or speak english, but sure knew what a tip was.. waiting for me outside my exit door with a black tip book.lol one cannot get out without tipping... but i had her tip, she deserved 2$ but i have her 25% as she TRIED VERY HARD.

Just the worst experience ever!!! Had a couples massage and they were extremely rough and we’re both coughing constantly. My wife has black eyes and a swollen face from the man who was extremely rough when rubbing her face. Both our backs are tore up I have no idea how these people can ask for tips it’s extremely Awkward when you exit and there right there with there tip books. The two seed munchers up front are rude as well !!! Should have the name changed to Abuse day spa! Never again!

The massage was very good. The only down fall was that they didn’t massage the front of my legs and arms. I over all ok for the price for a body massage at $35.

Wife and I have been to the Citrus Heights location twice for the 60 minutes couples massage and loved it! Highly recommend it!!

The combo 90 minute massage with foot massage was the BEST Ive ever had, and Ive had some massages. 😉 I would recommend this location to anyone who enjoys quiet time to allow the stress and tenseness of our bodies to relax and heal.

Best massage in months! I would recommend Happy Day Spa to anyone looking for a massage. Ask for Lucas if you like a firm massage. They have reasonable prices and do great work.

I had an older gentleman that gave me an hour massage. When he was massaging my back it was great until he got to the front then he half ass did his job. I left there with lotion on the front side of my body and none on my back

I had a problem with my shoulder. Got the full body but asked if Amy would work on that place more. She really worked it out and happy to say I will be returning soon!

They barley speak any English and very hard on the massage and they wait outside while you get dressed so they make sure you leave a tip!
