Twist Social Club

I used to come to twist over twenty years ago when my husband and I were younger. Im currently here attending a repast for a good friend John Cox. Knowing the bar staff constantly ignored me while aid at the bar waiting to be served? I was the one of three Black patrons paying my respect. Even the only Black waiter looked over me, and went to the White customers though I was there first? Really interesting, and sad. I expected better and equal service in 2024. The service was better in 2001 when we used to go there too hang out!The food was great though.

Bartender is awesome!! The music is awesome and the vibe is amazing! As a transwoman, I feel right at home! Dom has been an amazing bartender for a lightweight like me and for a heavy drinker like my girlfriend, I love it here!!!

Amazing service, vibes and staff! Even on their busiest nights I’ve never waited longer than 3 minutes for a drink and everyone is so welcoming! I used to bartend/go out in the flats and it’s hit or miss what kind of night you’ll have. Twist is my absolute go to every time 💜

Excellent location, kind of the anchor to this area on clifton. huge garage doors open up when the weather is nice. it’s a great place to stop in for a drink during the day when many places are closed. everyone is welcome and safe here, no prejudices. the owners are among the kindest people ive met. they bought us a drink. this is the kind of business that we like to support. they serve food from landmark next door. best fries ever! bunts is such a sweet and kind bartender always with a smile.

Great vibes, great staff, fabulous outdoor space!! It was Pride weekend, so it was packed and so crazy hot inside, but the multiple outside bars really helped facilitate quick lines and the ability for everyone to join in the party.

So why charge a cover fee at the door if youll just charge regular prices om food and drinks? If you charge a cover fee, everything inside should be at a discount, otherwise just get rid of the fee and upcharge on food and drinks. Im from Canton so if I visit, its 120 ipes wort of gad, plus the door charge, plus food and drinks... no thanks lol. There arent any gay clubs in Canton but if youre going to be a niche club, why charge so much? Id rather just attend a regular club in Canton than pay so much for travel and the additional fees. Definitely a detractor for the younger gay crowd, maybe the older gay crowd can easily afford all fees involved?

Love it from the time you walk in to the time you walk out it was great and the music and food was spectacular the presentation wow the amazing food it was like a lays potato chips once you had one you want more on more

I have never ordered steamed mussels and only paid $6 for them. They were absolutely delicious!!! If ever I go back to Cleveland, I will be here eating again!!!!!

Matt is the sweetest! Im a kinda butch afab type and felt super welcome here! I just came here on a visit to the midwest because I only like to spend my money in queer spaces but I was super happy with my meal too!

I was so excited about going here. I had fun dancing. And the clientele were Soooo Nice!! Staff Refused to serve me. And chose to serve multiple people who came up clearly after me. I saw the same thing happen to someone else.

Havent been to Twist in many years. Stopped to meet a friend and was pleasantly surprised by the attentiveness of the bar staff, good drinks, great viewing of music videos on screenWell worth checking out

Its crazy that a diverse crowd doesnt equate to a diverse selection of music.

Do you like buying expensive drinks? Listening to the same Ole music every weekend? This is the place for you. Twist goes above and beyond to find the most lackluster djs in the Cleveland area. It would be nice if the place had different genres of music every night, but it the same edm every freaking night.The drinks are not worth the price. The atmosphere is okay at best. I honestly cant wait for another place to open. This place is just not worth it.

Had so much fun at Twist! The music was the most danceable music we heard all night, everyones vibe was good & the drinks were even better!Loved the bartender walking around with Jello Shots as well! Had a great night & will definitely be back!

Me and my friends went there and bought 60$ worth of drinks. I payed with my card and was going to tip out cash since were in the service industry as well and know cash tips are preferred.Well when I’m turning around asking for the bag to grab cash the bartender yells “if you arent going to tip, stay out of my section.” Then turns and tells other bartenders that we aren’t tippers or arent to be served.Well I’m trying to explain that her tip was cash she still decided to double down and say we were being rude and get us kicked out.We ended up in the parking lot with a wholeGroup of like 3-4 people she ended up doing the same thing too . Like the demand to tip was ridiculous and you’re apparently expected to tip first, then pay.

Was just there and went to the end of the bar to have a seat. The bartender put two napkins down in front of two chairs as I was going to sit down. He totally ignored me and turned around to do something across the bar. I took a seat a couple chairs down. He returned to the napkins and put down waters. I guessed he was saving them for someone. He left the dar area. He came back to the bar and stood at the entrance to the service area and just looked around. I was never waited on by any of the five servers there. As I looked around at the number of empty glasses in front of customers at the bar Im surprised the place is still open. This was my last time there.

Never thought Id end up here as a straight man the atmosphere was awesome my friends all had a blast place is very chill and great vibes

Terrible staff came to enjoy my birthday thought it was going to be a great experience and it was unfortunately a terrible experience the bartender (she) was very rude and expected a tip wen she wasn’t giving a nice and friendly customer service and also got kicked out because I specifically told her that I wasn’t tipping her with the stank attitude she had never will go to twist ever again. Yall should really rethink the bartenders!

This place is fun for dancing but the bartenders are always rude and give you an attitude when you ask for a drink. I ordered food once and they rolled their eyes at me. Its not just a specific bartender but mostly all of them. I would enjoy it more if you didnt have to wait so long for them to serve you and give you an attitude the whole time.

First time here. We are from Pittsburgh and all the comments about being older or overweight with the negativity isn’t true. They must of been toasted before they walked in. I’m 41 and over weight. My fiancé and I really enjoyed our experience and bartenders were extremely nice and respectful. I was hesitant at first, but soooo glad we came. We would and will come back when we are in Cleveland again. 🤗

Nice place, plenty of space, seems like it could be fun. We went for the second time while visiting town. I counted a total of 10 people, we sat down at the bar and ordered drinks, leaving a tab open. There were 2 bartenders working. Our drinks were finished and we waited..and waited for one of them offer another drink-neither one acknowledged us or looked at us. They talked to each other, ran back to another room and talked to one small group of people. Finally I grabbed the attention of one and closed our tab. Then we walked to another bar. It was basically the same experience our previous visit. Maybe they only cater to the under 30 crowd.

Great place for all including LGBTQIA and Straight folks. Good dance scene. Browns backers bar!

Place is fun! Drink don’t cost too much and the ambiance is nice on the floor as well as the back patio!

Sadly, maybe one of the best gay bars in Cleveland, too bad it isnt gay owned AND it shows...the BBQ restraunt is the main focus of the owners.I have heard nasty homophobic comments of the BBQ patrons when walking by the front of the bar.Owners cant help it, but it is frequent and they seem oblivious.Sharing the back patio space I have observed similar behaviour. It makes the shared space feel unwelcoming.It is unfortunate. Great place, amazing staff on both sides.Trying too hard to make things that dont have a natural fit work together via blind optimism and a lack of critical effort.

Literally my favorite place in Cleveland. The staff are all so nice and attentive, drinks are delicious, the overall vibe is better than any bar Ive been. Great dancing, great drinks, great people. Would recommend.

Always enjoy music and food from Landmark. Drink is alright and not always consistent. I order 2 same drinks but one has much vodka. Definitely enjoy meet new people there.

Fantastic place for happy hour and their nachos can feed a family. Bartenders are great and I always feel like I am welcome and appreciated. This place is great.

I love this place, we go pretty frequently. Of course there’s some people there that are weird or messy, but it’s a bar, what can you expect? The manager is a really cool guy, most of the bartenders are super nice and fun, and they have 2 patios (one inside and one out) which is great for when it gets cold. Very popular on the weekends which is great.

Walked in on a Friday night. First drink I ordered was 4 bucks and some change. I gave the lady bartender 5 bucks. She never gave me my change. Ive never had that happen to me, EVER. I guess its a Cleveland thing.

Wow, had such a great time at Twist! We were visiting Cleveland and looking for a bar with food and we hit the jackpot. The food was delicious, atmosphere great, awesome DJ, super friendly staff and crowd! Thank you Twist for making our Friday night in Cleveland fun!

I was visiting Cleveland for work and was alone. Stopped by early one evening for a drink. Im fairly independent, but it would have been nice to have felt some hospitality by the bartender or other patrons. The place was not busy. The bartender promptly made my drink then disappeared. I left a nice tip for my benefit, not for any great service. I wont go back. Not sure if this was attitude or lack of good people skills, but neither the bartender nor the patrons are that hot, so no need for attitude. It is a nice space, both indoor and out. The original owner of Twist would be mortified at the way business is being conducted now.

Horrible experience, I just got there and literally asked for my 1st drink and bartender ( She) was complete retarded and without any specific reason she said shes not gonna serve us! And we were kicked out for no reason!Remember there is gonna be some consequences attached to this, you better lawyer up coz Ill go to the bottom of this,I feel highly discriminated, unbelievable behavior without any reason whatsoever! Your business module is trash

Had a great time just enjoying a few peach bellinis and watching the recap of Rupauls Drag Race....the deconstructed pulled chicken bowl was amazing and I can def. appreciate guacamole made from scratch! Keep up the excellent service and food!

Their drinks are strong but don’t expect a well made craft cocktail. The bar during the week is tame and a great place to grab a quick beer with friends. During the weekend this location gets wild but the staff does a fantastic job keeping up with their thirsty customers. It is Wall to wall people on weekends. The music is VERY loud so don’t expect good conversation. There is a “dance” spot in the back of the bar, but if you’re looking for serious dancing you’re better off elsewhere. This isn’t my speed but not unenjoyable.

Been here multiple times over the last few years and its been a good experience almost all of the times. Great to hangout out, meet folks, dance and make memories. Decent location as well.

I came with my service dog. The people were happy with him around. However I was miss treated and discriminated by asking me for a certificate to proof he is a service dog, In which he is extremely well behaved. I asked for water for my dog and they told me to go outside for my dog to drink water from the smallest cup they had. I felt uncomfortable and unwelcome. So I took a star away because when I went to sing karaoke the bar fellows took my drink off the bar maybe bcus it was low idk I just know I was saving it for after singing especially after paying $10 for 1 drink ijs

Had not been here in a long time needed an evening out with my BFF. What a great time food was phenomenal & drinks quite reasonable. An inviting atmosphere gracias will be back soon.

I had a wonderful time at twist club the atmosphere was great the bartender was wonderful I dont drink alcohol so he made up up a drink for me that was delicious I enjoyed the outside front patio you were still able to be a part of what was going on inside why you sat outside and enjoyed the neighborhood atmosphere I will visit this club again

I returned to the twist social club after having some bad experiences there a couple years ago. But today was different Quan the bartender was awesome so attentive so skilled in customer service that Im definitely going back cuz thats what its about taking care of the client.

Me and my friends ordered food at the bar, all of my friends got there food in like 15 minutes, I waited an hour and kept asking about my food and they said they were still making it eventually they said it was at the pickup even though all of my friends got there food at the bar and I found out that it was just sitting there for over 45 minutes so it was cold. The music was loud so I guess I misunderstood the Bar tender I thought he said they were going to remake it and refund me but I guess he just said they were going to refund me so I didnt take my cold food so I was waiting like 10 minutes and he said oh so you want to reorder so I decided not to even bother because at that point I was waiting like an hour and a half for food and they were still going to charge me.

A super fun place to go dancing!! They have lots of theme nights that are really fun. The crowd is really great, and theres always good energy. I sometimes wish they had better/actual DJs (once in a while its literally just a playlist), but its always a good time.

We came from DC and luckily we found twist club and Was the best new year ever! Drag shows , music, decorations like everything was so good!

Went here last night for my first time and I had a blast! Fast service, the crowd was very diverse and everyone was in good spirits, dancing all night, shared a bunch of laughs with new people. Definitely coming back!

Its a nice bar depending on the night but dont like karaoke nights mainly because the same five people were able to constantly sing while I waited over 2 hours before finally leaving after I had requested to sing right when I arrived, also people tend to seem snobbier on those nights

They gave my best friend a drink with a dirty bandages in it and then try to state that it could be a customers instead of taking responsibility for the event. No one was trying to get anything free my best friend was simply trying to know that she did have to worry about having hiv is all. Had my phone stolen. Found it in some guys pocket. Took it from him and his friends got in my face. Me and my friends got kicked out. Why? I’m not sure. But anyway, the drinks were okay and the music was good! If you’re looking to have something stolen from you and have a decent drink, this is your place!

Its very open and clean. The staff is beyond friendly theyre extremely welcoming. Its a great place to grab a drink or watch a show.

This is the second time I have gotten food here and they just do a fantastic job. I had a bacon cheese burger and I have to say this is one of the best burgers I have ever had. I cant say enough good things about this bar. Just keep being great!

Nice interior and patio. Large windows open up to create an inside/outside bar. Bathrooms are very small unfortunately. Regulars tend to be rude and bartenders arent the friendliest.

They usually have good music. The drinks are always well made. But its very much a cliquey kind of gay bar. So go w/ a group of friends.

Was in Cleveland over the weekend for a Cleveland Indians game. Checked out twist and had an amazing time. Everyone was friendly and the music was good.

Fun, but always packed at events. The music is so loud I barely hear anyone trying to talk to me. The place where you just nod and pretend to hear what people say.

Asked DJ to play more diverse music with it being a diverse crowd he ignored me and put his headphones back on : ( love the bartender Bunton and nice atmosphere. Music just sucks
