It is a cool club, but not a country dancing club as you may expect. Strobe lights, very loud music, and a lot of rap music was played. There were a lot of country people, but if that is what you are going there for, I would recommend going earlier. It is also somewhat pricey. I went with a group of people, we danced and had fun. We rode an electronic bull and took fun pics. It was a fun time, I just probably wont go a second time.
I came here with my friends on the last night of our girls’ trip and I’m OBSESSED with this place. We came on a Saturday night to try out line dancing, and we got to do a lot of it. Between line dances were other country songs and as the night progressed more rap music was interspersed, which drew in a younger crowd.Dittoe is the sweetest bartender in the world and she deserves all the tips. Drinks were so reasonably priced as well. There’s a second bar upstairs with different music and a whole different vibe, which wasn’t exactly what I was looking for, but it was definitely worth checking out for more mainstream music. The crowd is so diverse, the DJ was amazing, the men were all so well dressed, and there’s something in this bar for absolutely everyone. Cannot rave enough about it, and even though I live in NYC where there are like a million and one bars, I would plan a whole trip to come back here.
Stampede was a lot of fun. I think I got in for free and my husband paid to get in.. it was Also Ride the Bull for free Night! My first time and everything was honestly so welcoming in the environment .. the waitress was awesome. She was patient with explaining certain mixtures and liquors to me when Ordering . very Friendly Crowd with Fantastic Music 🎶 vibes😎. It was our first time and we are planning to come back again 🤩
Oh my god I love this place. A friend took me there on a Saturday night as I wanted to do country dancing. I had the most amazing time. I like that there were many elder dancers who were friendly. My slight complaint is that there were too many line dancing songs and songs for youngsters starting around 11pm. There were lots of pool tables, giant jinga, games and an impressive 360 degree video device. I loved it. Id love to go again when Im in Houston next.I had an amazing taco there too. It was my first time trying it and I just loved it.
It was my first time here last night, and it was fun. We sat close to a bar and the bartender was great, remembered what I was drinking and it was perfect every time. Dance floor got packed after a while, but the atmosphere was cool. Taco stand on the patio... so convenient, not very expensive, and they were sooo good! I will definitely go back if the opportunity presents itself.
Cheap drinks, great line dancing downstairs (Id say stick to country music downstairs) and great hip hop club upstairs. And theres bull riding in the back corner. We went to pregame here before going to another club and it was a great choice. Only thing I would have done differently is come earlier so I could stay longer.A hint: download the stampede vip app to get in for free. We went on a Saturday night.
**Rating: 0 Stars**I had an incredibly disappointing experience. The bouncers and service were terrible. It’s clear they lack proper training and understanding of how to run a bar floor. The staff is overly aggressive, kicking people out for the smallest reasons—even if it’s just looking at an undercover security guard the wrong way. Meanwhile, the staff themselves are engaging in inappropriate behavior. This place has a lot of room for improvement. I hope they take this feedback seriously and work on better training their staff.
I’ve been going here for years , and Morgan the bartender has been the absolute best ! She always takes care of me ,her drinks are hands down the best. One of the most friendliest people ever . Highly recommend going here super fun place !
Used to love going here, but now they charge $3 for water, even if you are 21+. AND that’s per bottle - no cups of ice. Absolutely NO water is free, except bathroom sink/toilet.When I tried talking with someone other than the bartenders about the water, they were rude right off the bat.During the country ‘break’ they really have the two strobe lights flashing. I’m not sensitive to flashing lights, but this was VERY disorienting. If you’re reading this - go to Whiskey River or Rowdy’s - nice staff, free water, and normal laser/smoke lighting. AND they offer drink specials! No drink specials at Stampede 👎
STAY AWAY FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT!!!!! Quite frankly I’m skeptical they even employ real officers. However, these officers that are located at this location should not be responsible for protecting and serving ANY community. I have never experienced such hostility from any public service member in my 5 YEARS of living in Houston Tx. I believe they behave this way because they are aware that many younger people frequent this location. Unfortunately some of these younger people are unaware of how they should be treated and are willing to except anything for the sake of peace. However as someone who is well above age has many experiences I can say that this treatment should not be accepted from anyone. These are people who are uneducated and should not have gotten clearance to yield any weapon with how jumpy and aggressive they are. Quite frankly I’m surprised they’ve never experienced any legal troubles (to my knowledge). I wouldn’t be surprised if this is the case in the future. Save yourself the trouble and remain safe in your home.
For the purposes of this review, Food=Drinks. I haven’t tried food here, not even sure they have any. This review is 50/50 for me and let me explain why. This place is fun! There’s a lot to do and a little for everyone; dancing, pool, riding the bull etc.The drinks are decent. Nothing special or terrible. It’s a very standard beer and mixed-drink type bar—don’t ask for a cosmopolitan.Dancing is always fun and they have lessons even. But I have had an issue with drinks being put on my tab twice now. Each time I had to stand my ground and ask for a manager, then firmly refuse to pay for what I know I didn’t drink. Just take cash and/or watch your tab!The experience is worth it otherwise.
My recent experience at Stampede Houston Bar was nothing short of appalling. What was meant to be an enjoyable evening quickly turned into a nightmare, thanks to the abysmal treatment my girlfriend and her friend received. We had paid $150 for a table, expecting a night of fun and relaxation. However, when my girlfriend walked her intoxicated friend to her Uber, she was shockingly denied re-entry upon returning after only being in the bar for an hour. This would be frustrating under any circumstances, but given the significant amount we had paid for our table, it was absolutely unacceptable. The situation escalated when security got involved. Instead of addressing the issue with professionalism and understanding, the security staff were not only unhelpful but also physically aggressive. Hands were laid on my girlfriend and her friend, an action that is entirely inexcusable. The staff’s aggressive and dismissive attitude was both shocking and distressing. Its clear that the staff at Stampede Houston are poorly trained in handling situations with tact and respect. Their behavior left us feeling unsafe and disrespected. For a venue that charges premium prices, one would expect a much higher standard of service and a secure environment. Unfortunately, Stampede Houston failed on all fronts.I strongly advise anyone considering a night out at Stampede Houston to think twice. The poor management, combined with the unprofessional and aggressive behavior of the security staff, makes it a place to avoid. Your safety and enjoyment are better ensured elsewhere.
Sadly stampede has downgraded in the last year.Highlights: great music, bartenders are super friendly and really great to connect with, if you want to dance more freely go on Friday bc it’s packed on Saturday.Downside: they have a limited selection of liquor now, my bartenders used to be able to make a variety of drinks but the owners limited their options so that’s not fun anymore, they started charging for water where as it used to be free, there entrance fee went up and now if you’re looking for a good time, I would say it isn’t worth going anymore. Plus, drinks have increased in pricing now so you’re paying more for less liquor.Overall, you’re better off going to whiskey river west or north! Stampede used to be doing good but I would say it isn’t the place to be anymore. Hopefully the owners can make better changes.
I loved the music and the vibes but the female bartender at the big bar in the center of the club was super rude. First she ignored us then we she did glance our way it was to curse and speak in Spanish. Thank God for the guy on the other side with the braids.
Hate to be a one star reviewer, but I’ve been to many honky tonks and this is nowhere near a country dance hall. 90% of the music was rap & pop. I like rap and pop but when I go country dancing I want SOME country music! The few country songs they did were random obscure songs that have never been popular, and as a 38 year old I’ve been listening to country music for a long time, and even I was bored with the choices. I went here years past when it first opened as stampede and my friends and I had a blast, great country selection and just the right amount of rap & pop! Now, not anymore.
This has been one of my favorite places to dance for several years. Disappointed that, with the approach of summer, management has decided to charge for water instead of going back to the water dispensers on the corners of the bars. This would also expedite getting drinks from the bar, ya know.
Pretty disappointing experience, for a country western/two-stepping club the majority of music that they played was rap and hip-hop. We came to dance and they pretty much only played 3 country songs the entire night. If we wanted hip-hop, we would have gone to a club that played it
Spacious ranch style venue and great live music to unwind. Pool tables and lounge area very clean and well kept. There was karaoke upstairs and a mechanic bull downstairs, might try that next time. Drink prices are fair with 3 convenient bar stations. Personally my only disclaimer to watch out for is the old granny named Lisa running the bar she can be very rude. (I made the best of it later because that’s the person I am but anyone else could have fought her a$$) she’s the one pictured below she ended up giving me a free beer once I left 😅👍🏼. Stampede I highly suggest to get a new bartender if you don’t want to lose money. Overall would return again.
Asked for water from the tap from the bar and the bartender tried to charge me $3 for a bottle of water. When I asked why he could not give me tap water, he shrugged and said we only have bottled water now.If you want people to dance, hydrate them. Keep this up and enjoy losing business to Rowdys and Whiskey River.
If youre a diehard extrovert whos feeling wild, youll probably enjoy this deafeningly loud, energetic venue. If youre more introverted, have anxiety, or value your hearing, you may want to stay home.
I’m giving them a 5 star because Morgan the bartender is amazing!!! She remembers my drink order everytime! I don’t have to tell her! Beautiful smile and absolutely the best personality!!! I would like to say I’d like to see them change the music up some! Sometimes you like to slow it down and dance every once in a while! Keep the rap music upstairs!
Went there for the first time yesterday 05/25 and I honestly love it , they have the first floor playing country and a couple songs in between to change it up but not muchThe atmosphere amazing its not fully dark it has a nice balance of light and seating for everyone who wants to of courseThe second floor more like a small club dj playing all kinds of songs and group songsFor sure a mini club but the music selection at the time was great but still enjoyed it
I go every weekend and my favorite part hands down is seeing Morgan! She’s so awesome whether it comes to making sure she’s attentive to everyone, or people’s safety, etc. she always makes us feel welcome and excited to come!!Best bartender for sure!!
We got kicked out over OTHER people grabbing free balloons, clearly there was a misunderstanding but Our first experience out of town and that’s how it went for us. IWe spent money just to get kicked out in less than 20 minutes without anyone but security consulting us about the problem. If your going to kick people out at least give them their money back.
If you go to Stampede Houston, you have to go and stop by the bartender by the right of the dance floor. Her name is Morgan she is the best bartender ever. I love her so much she makes a night so much more fun. It’s also a great place to meet friends and dance and all that fun stuff.
Super fun environment!! Morgan is the best bartender ever, celebrated my birthday and she went above and beyond with the balloons and decorations made me feel so special!! Favorite weekend hangout spot
I love love love this place! My favorite bartender is Morgan, she’s the best! The music here is awesome and the people there are so cool. 10/10 best club ever!!!
My time spent here was awesome yall!. My kinda people with my kinda music. I normally come here to catch a good buz and enjoy the music. When whiskey whispers it whispers yall.
They have a taco service outside thats good. No food otherwise. Big dance floor. Two story with karaoke.
This is an awesome venue, use to go almost every week but, lots of my friends and i just dont agree with them charging us $3 for water….
Super fun place. A great mix of music and great atmosphere for all interests.
This place wouldn’t let me in due to the “excessive holes” in my jeans even though the jeans are created that way & the website specifically says “no holes in jeans unless the jeans are designed that way” which clearly they are as the “holes” in the jeans have patches over them so my skin isn’t physically showing. The bouncers just wanted to prove a point & let another gentlemen in with ripped jeans without question. “New management” is the excuse I got from the short man they called a manager, & refused to even explain their website rules even though it clearly stated my jeans were acceptable. Overall not an establishment i would recommend to anybody, especially as we were only trying to accompany an under 21 with us. They had no problem with giant holes in women’s jeans, but my jeans with 0 skin showing was a massive issue
Went dancing here and wish it had more spaces you could sit or put your drink down since you can’t dance with your friends and have your drink
I did not eat, I had one drink, just my preference that night. Cool cool environment, everyone loves to dance and there’s always something to do, either your dancing in the middle, taking pictures at the free selfie stations, or of course the bars! Cool dj as well.
As an old two stepper and line dance instructor (Tush Push anyone?), this place is the Best place I’ve ever been to. Line Dancing is done right! Everybody faces the DJ booth to start. That’s for sure the right way!Even though I enjoy my smokes as well, it’s nice to not have to gag on second hand smoke from 200 other smokers. It’s smoke free indoors but I understand there’s a place right outside to go get a puff in.Though reminiscent of Gilleys in “Urban Cowboy,” with the mechanical bull, and a larger Dance Floor, I didn’t see a “Punch Bag.”I noticed the Machismo is kept in check by a“Well Noticed,” and “Not Undercover,” Security personnel. The dance floor is really large and can accommodate a great variety of “Skill,” levels.I saw every level my first time out to this place. From nearly “Dancing with the Stars,” level down to “Drunk enough to give a go.”Everybody looked to be having a good time!
Great place for a good time. Loved the decor, and the food was good. Drinks also amazing.
The bartender Morgan is the best i’ve ever had! She’s the reason I love going to Stampede so much, makes a very great atmosphere!
Had a blast . Drinks amazing , dance floor on fire all night . Every staff member was friendly and nice. Everyone just had good vibes all around the club. I am definitely booking my birthday here. 10/10 stars for me also tacos were so good as well.(: worth the long night out ladies and gents.
We had a surprise birthday party last Saturday and it turned out great because of the friendly staff! This place is clean and the bartenders know how to make some amazing drinks. Thank you to the bartender in the back near the dance floor for being so awesome! Austin was a staff member in our area in the back and he was extremely helpful. He checked on us repeatedly to make sure we had everything we needed. He is the best! Many thanks to the sound guy who helped us to know when our birthday guest arrived so we could surprise him! All around great place! Thank you all for everything!
Always a good time and the tacos served over there are delicious.
Please read ***Okay, it’s an absolutely beautiful venue. So much potential. Friendly staff. Whoever y’all had DJ Saturday Nov. 19. Turned down Guitars, Cadillacs and George Strait songs. Like I’m sorry, this is Texas right? His words. “We don’t do that old stuff, we only do modern music”. His modern music for a Texas country dance hall was about 90% hip hop music.Again. I thought I was in Texas. And I also thought it was a country dance hall.Replace the DJ or Correct him and I’ll gladly remove this 1star review.
Need to change the DJ it was way better few years ago I had to leave early the music sucked
The worst place that I have ever been to. They don’t respect women that are being harassed and they don’t protect them. So lady was getting assaulted and I told security to stop that and then they decided to kick me out! Ridiculous. They eventually kicked her out, but that was after another 10 scenes of that drunk group trying to fight again.I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re looking for a fun, safe environment.
Environment and music is great, however, service is terrible and would never make a reservation there again. We reserved a table for a birthday celebration on a Saturday and they literally told us stand aside and had us waiting for over 20 minutes just to take us to our table. Took 1 hour to get one of the two beer buckets that are included in the package, this is after I went to look for a manager which by the way is nearly impossible to locate unless you search the whole club. I informed our server that we only received one bucket and she got snippy, note we still didnt get our second bucket. Another hour passes by and we still had not received our bottle. Once again, I have to go look for a manager which no one is able to assist with of course. By this time our guests and bday girl have to go buy drinks on their own. We finally receive our bottle after I have to resubmit the order (approx 2hrs after arriving). Bottle was brought with 4 cups, no ice, one mix juice and water instead of or two mixes. Once again, I have to go search for our server and manager to get ice, cups and mixes for our bottle. Little be said, worst service and definitely not worth the nearly $300 spent.
I believe this venue started off as the best dancehall type nightclub in all of Texas, but apparently there has been a drastic change in the business operation philosophy. My husband and I have noticed the dance floor is not maintained properly and is somewhat hazardous. Additionally, the staff just are not as professional and friendly as they used to be. The atmosphere just does not have that positive energy we had come to know for the past 5 years.
They took my real ID telling me it was fake and made me leave the premises. I understand that there are underage people trying to get in but I am over 21 and showed them my real ID and they took it and refused to give it back. I will definitely not be returning and will be telling everybody I know to not go there.
First time here and as soon as I walked in I felt a very friendly atmosphere. The music was great and everyone exceeded great customer service. Never have I felt so welcomed at a nightclub. Will definitely have my birthday party here. Also the bartender in the karaoke room was extremely helpful and outgoing which gave the room a good vibe.
At stampede the cost is 10.00 for girls and guys. Inside on the dance floor there is flashing lights (sometimes, but the majority time) and on the other side they have pool tables and the mechanical bull (if you use the bull they video it on a tv screen) and it’s more dim not flashing light which is great. The flashing lights on the dance floor get annoying. Its always full and people bump into each other bc there’s no room
I really, REALLY love this place. It’s my favorite bar. The only bar I actually like because of how amazing the dance floor is. There is tons of room for people the spread out and not be up your butt the whole night. An upstairs with a practice floor (if it’s unreserved). Plenty of pool tables, an atm, large bathroom, good security and bouncers, there’s typically some kind of BBQ food being made outside. The cover is well worth the experience. Honestly I love this.
Firefighter night was about a month ago, and they were hot and very personable. Large venue with upstairs fun rooms and karaoke. Tacos out front! Music selections that night was an array of upbeat music of the genres between rap, country, and good ol’ 80/90’s jams as well. Saturday night is ladies night get in free and it was worth it. The bartender in the back was the sweetest always getting me water!
Ive been here several times. Great club with great music and a huge dance floor. Probably the biggest nightclub in town. Lots of bars and restrooms. Plenty of security to ensure a safe evening out. And if you like to dance, they keep the music going till 3 am (last call at 2 am) to give you time to sober up before getting on the road. Friends dont let friends drive drunk. Good C&W nightclub.
This is my favorite place to go dancing. Great crowd, DJ, and dance floor. The bar setup is perfect for the place so its easy to get drinks if you dont use the waitresses that walk around. There is a nice and small upstairs setup where karaoke is at.
My husband and I always have n amazing time here. Dont have to worry about people starting drama. Everyone stays to themselves. Staff is super friendly when serving up drinks. I always look forward to heading out to stampede.
This place is so much fun on a Saturday night but I wish they would play more country music. It seems like they play a few country songs then nothing but pop/hip hop songs. As a country dance hall I expected to dance to country more than shake my butt. The age group of people is pretty diverse so I understand wanting to appeal to the younger crowd, just keep to a country dance hall or dont advertise as one. I would hate to choose a different dance hall just because of music choice.
This place is great! They play great country music old and new. They even mix in some old throwback hip-hop that will definitely get you moving along with videos to watch while two-stepping the night way. Lots of room and friendly people of ALL ages. Highly recommend trying it at least once and make your own opinion. You wont be disappointed.
We had our 40th class reunion here last weekend and the space we had was perfect! The staff was awesome, happy hour prices on drinks and a member of the planning committee said the staff was more than accommodating!! I highly recommend their private party space for large groups!!!
Favorite country bar! Cheap entry (ladies are free on Saturdays!!) Super friendly amazing staff, karaoke bar and dance floor are always fun and the attendees are very respectful and friendly as well and nothing says country bar than a mechanical bullride! Always have had a great time!
I love this place has fireball shots that are 250 on Friday and they always have concerts every month with great talents of part is that you would want to see in an intimate setting. They also have free dancing lessons if you get there super early enough like 8 oclock I never get there this early but I always see the remnants of the dance lessons and they seem to learn pretty well. Place is big and open and want to gets back you still feel like youre not squished like a sardine in their home has great areas like pool tables, bull riding and karaoke. To me its a combination great little honky-tonk plus concert venue
Theres a lot of dancing going on there but the older guys just take out the younger girls. If youre 40 and above forget about dancing. All these guys just want to dance with younger girls youre just gonna stand around and waste time.
It was awesome! Our bartender, Megan, was very attentive and remembered our tab and what we were drinking even though there was a lot of people at her bar. I’ll definitely be back and bringing all my friends!!
Worst experience ever at a bar. Do not recommend going here if you have a large group. I decided to host a company party here and had about 30 ppl show up, but was only allowed to have 1 bucket or 6 beers at the table at a time. My whole night was spent waiting in line to buy 1 bucket at a time.Wait staff was awesome, and also the environment was really relaxed. Would definitely go back with just my wife and i but never host a party here ever again. And I was looking forward to showing everyone how awesome Stampede was, but you completely failed me.
The club is very nice and easy to move around without it being over crowded. We did like that about it. But we didnt really enjoy that the radio plays for most of the night as the music in there. We dont mind the radio but it is not what you want to dance to all night. The dance floor was very interesting due to lack of music to dance to. People wouldnt dance for long period and then would get out and dance to there own thing while a song that has no dance to it plays. Will only go back if invited for someones event or if there is a band playing.
We were a party of 25 and this place does not know how to treat consumers. They are so arrogant starting with one of the guys in the entrance when w all got there. He threw away our full bottles at the end of the night he said “we close at 2, let’s go” I felt like he was watching us all night probably because we were all Hispanics. Never wasting my money in this place again!
I went one night, was told that you cant have stools at the bar. Scooted the stool to the wannabe cowboy employee and was asked to leave because he didnt like how I pushed it at him. Overly sensitive staff, lots of posers, ghetto area. Tejano joint next door. Basically main punchline is that its a large venue (nearly identical to the one next door, just a different flavor) and thats it.Big waste of money. Dont waste your money. Go down the road to stetsons. Smaller venue but you get a better atmosphere. Thats where youll actually have fun
Would have given 5 stars had I not been charged 9 dollars for two lemon drops by an older woman bartending next to the mechanical bull ride. I saw she kind of laughed at us once I had realized how much I payed. We asked another bartender for the price and was told it was 6.25 a lemon drop shot. Clearly got ripped off. Friends referred me to another bartender closer to the dance floor. Had a great time, just know how much youre being charged for your drinks.
The place is very nice but if you’re using Your debit card, watch your bank account card! I went two week back to back and they charged me over 300 both weekend and it’s just me. I don’t drink much either.
The valet wouldnt let me park my Tesla because I couldnt give him the keys. The key is my phone and he didnt believe me and was rude about it.So I ended up just leaving. Extremely unprofessional and a horrible way to be greeted.
As far as the nightclub scene I must say I truly had a great experience . The place was packed but understandably sense Ronnie Millsap was the headline along with TG Shepard . Who did a number of his hits . Both artist gave a magnificent performance . The staff were kind , courteous and seem to go out of there way to assist you . They have a great bar staff .I Lots of pretty women . The security crew were observant yet helpful and well managed . So to sum it up in my opinion . Just a really nice , safe environment to have a good time .
I tried to close out my tab, wow. I was escorted out side an and 3 hours to settle. I was intoxicated, but using Uber as I told them. They wanted to arrest me.. I told them to so. They kept telling me they did not have my license and card.. my friend finally came out with,. I stayed in the cold, after asking if we could just step inside, for hours.. I just wanted to close tab and get license and card. took hours and rude rude rude rude people.
We had a great time! Drove almost 200 miles to dance at an Aaron Watson concert! We were not disappointed! Despite the fact that dancers are the clear minority the staff kept the dance floor clear the entire night! Thank you for a great night!
Great place for dancing, but not a good concert venue. Sound quality is average to muffled. While the stage side on the bar is smoke free (south of the mason/dixon line as they refer to by the paint stripe on the floor) it is not at all enforced by my observation.
If you dont have to come here, I wouldnt. Its a large venue with plenty of space inside thats about the only perk. It takes forever to get any bartender to tend to you on a busy night. If there are acts youve been dying to see, I would come here but otherwise skip it. People smoke inside and its overly crowded. Theres a franchise feel to the place. The drinks are ok, not relaly cheap nor expensive. Ive been to much better country bars.
Got a wristband, paid the cover, walked to the bathroom, and when I came out was met by 2 bouncers asking me to leave out the side door. Hadn’t drank a thing all night, didn’t even get the chance to say hi to my group of friends that were there. I told them that I had just gotten there and surely they had the wrong person and the 2 bouncers wouldn’t say anything to me other then it “wasn’t my lucky night”. Couldn’t even get my cover back.
This place has the best dance floor in Houston! The staff is friendly and the drinks are good. This is a destination spot that you dont want to miss. They have some of the greatest artist in country music on the stage.
Had the worst experiance ever there! The door guys were friendly and that was about it.We visited during a concert ($40 per ticket) First order, we walked up to the bar after some girls got served and left. Bartender yelled the line is over there. After moving up the line to finally place the order, she served everyone around us. Therefore, the question we asked was, what happened to the line? Her reply was, she could only take one order at a time. I was asking my date what she had sad, since I couldnt hear her well. Then the bartender chimes in with, what is that. So I just placed my order. My date told me that she felt the girl has been rude. Then the girl again chimed in, what was that? So we pointed out, that we had been standing at the bar and she told us to get in line. After we got to the bar she had not been taking our order. The girl complained about her time being wasted. And continued to tell us not to get back in her line after bringing the drinks.Ill paid the tab and asked for a receipt. She said she cant print one without a manager. So I asked her to get him. She returned and said he was busy and it will be a while...I did get the receipt but she made sure I couldnt talk to him. There were other incidences with some of their other staff members which I think doesnt need to be addressed. You are getting the picture.Paying $40 per concert ticket and up to $400 per table, one can expect a much better treatment. Simply since it was unjustified! To say the very least, you will never find me in this establishment again
On the night of February the 6th, I was denied entrance to the club after the “bouncer” told me “no ripped jeans.” Following our conversation another another patron walked in with ripped jeans and another female Patron with multiple ripped holes. I approached the gentleman running the door and asked him do they discriminate on who they enforce the rules to. He replied in an irate tone that he was enforcing the rules and they don’t apply to women or distressed jeans. There rules where displayed on the wall and on their website states if the jeans were designed that way than it’s ok. It’s sad that during our atmosphere respecting people that are binary and non-binary that rules are not equal in force upon patrons.
Bar service is great, music is great.Although, the bull may be free the Hispanic girl’s attitude is horrible, to begin with the inflated bed isn’t 100% inflated you sink more than you’re able to bounce. It’s honestly unfair to the people that really want to ride but can’t because they can’t jump as high as the taller people. She doesn’t instruct before hand that we cannot use the bulls head for support (who’s going to be looking for a sign on a wall BEHIND HER) and also doesn’t allow us to use help from family or Friends to get on the bull that is literally chest level. RIDICULOUS. You ask her to lower is down and supposedly she can’t. I have family that operates a mechanical bull and it’s obviously BS cause you ARE able to lower the bulls behind.FIX THE “INFLATED” BED. FIX THE ATTITUDE.
Best country bar/dance hall in Houston and maybe all of Texas!! Best parking, huge club, reasonable prices and food out front! Best part...no drama and fun crowd. Can’t wait to go back!
My friend and I drove 45 miles to go to this bar. I started talking to the Latin security gaurd on Friday July 28 2017. I was joking with him about the club next door. And i said if INS would come they would have a field day.He said i offended him because he is illegal.I said oh my bad. He asked if i was a trump supporter. I said yes. Then a few minutes later he had my friend and i thrown out. I was shocked i will never go there again ever
First and last time we go there. 5 dollar for beer, ran out of my girlfriends drink angry orchard around 10:30. Way to crowded, why have a dance floor if you let the yuppies stand on it like it wasnt even there. Place is a joke, if your looking for country music and dancing dont go there!!!
Great atmosphere for learning how to two step or line dance. Very relaxed and a variety types of music played.
Its huge! Though it was crowded for Tracy Lawrences concert people were polite and courteous. The concert tickets dont cost you a weeks pay, the sound was really good, and the stage was in a place you could see Tracy from everywhere in the room.Going back for sure.
Really nice, lots of room, dance floor, pool tables... but as we walked up, a lot of ppl were leaving didnt know why, we thought something happened. 2 ppl (man/woman) cost $15 to get in...2 Budweisers cost $11 ... might not sound like much but it does add up...I guess Im use to Whisk Rivers by Willowbrook, great prices and REALLY nice!!!
This has been my home away from home since 2013, and I love this bar. Great dance floor, spacious venue, good priced drinks, and a badass staff!
It was a GREAT concert with Merle Haggard! It was packed! Stampede is the best club in Houston to see a live concert. It is such a big place to have a concert and you also have a dance floor. I am looking forward to the future concerts and great artists. Stampede employees care about customer service and take pride in their work keeping Stampede the BEST country bar in Houston. I recommend anyone that has not been to Stampede, go and see for themselves!
Don’t come on New Years because they’ll charge you $21 for a sour vodka and a cranberry and vodka. No drink specials like whiskey river and it was dead. Not worth the drive.
This is supposed to be a country dance hall yet 90 percent of the music they play is non country. Thats fine if that the kind of place youre going to but thats not what they portray themselves to be Im very disappointed in this place. Alot of people I talked to there tonight were as well I will NOT be visiting this place again!
Lame party’s ,their managers were letting people in for free and letting minors get drunk and the supervisor I saw was just standing next to them allowing it happen, such a dead club no excitement.
We were in Houston for only one night and a group of us went to the stampede. Super fun country bar with dancing downstairs, and karaoke upstairs. Great drink specials early in the evening!
Awesome experience for my first time in a nightclub. Staff was extremely nice and make the experience unforgettable. Shout out to the guy driving the bull!
Loved this place!!! Very clean, bartenders very nice and always had a smile. The crowd was a good mixture and everyone was enjoying themselves without any drama.
I am 23 and my wife is under age. They kicked us out because she was Under age and drinking. Even though she was Nor drinking. And washing off her xxes they are completely understandable and full of bullshit. Dont go here.
We have come to stampede several times and always have had a blast, but when I attempted to book a party for my sisters 18th birthday, it took forever for me to get a response even thou I submitted about 1 1/2 weeks ahead of the scheduled date. When I did finally hear back they resevered us for the wrong day. I texted the person back and informed her that the day was wrong and still heard nothing back. The next day I heard back from a completely different person about my initial request for a reservation and I explained the date confusion. She stated she will fix it in the morning and call me back to confirm. The next day passed and I didnt hear anything back. I finally texted her back & explained the situation. She simply stated it had been fixed and that was the last I heard. I was supposed to be reversed for a table in space city when I got here I was put in south padre. So much for the back & forth hassel of getting a table. Really considering changing our spot after this bad experience.
I have a big dance group. We go out EVERY weekend to country dance. This USED to be our favorite spot Saturday nights. They advertise TEXAS & COUNTRY. Are called “Stampede”. Security wears cowboy hats and boots, they have a bull, they play rodeo stuff on the TV’s BUT they play 5 country songs and then play half an hour or more dance/pop/edm songs. Should definitly be the other way around. If we wanted to listen and dance to mainly edm/pop songs we would have gone to an actual club. Dont know whos idea it was to change the music but it was a bad one. Not only were my friends annoyed and dissapointed but others around us were as well.
This place is nice to hang out, cover is decent. Great music, pool tables, lots to do.Highly recommend 👌
Caleb always does a fantastic job. We deal with many wasps and he makes sure those nests are knocked down every time! Sometimes I’m lucky enough to have a huge souvenir nest 😜 They also ensures pesky bugs are kept outside of the home. Thank you Stampede!
First time and I LOVED it. Great for all ages and all events. Highly recommend. Cant go wrong. Great drinks, bull riding and great music!
They hate Americans here, they refused me service because of my American flag hat. They also discourage African Americans from coming in for their safety and I heard their security staff use racial slurs. I wouldnt be surprised if they have many 1 start reviews from non-white humans.
Fun! Free dance lessons every Friday at 8
I was harrased and threatened by a group of people. But the staff doesn’t help me at all. They kick my out with them and then allowed a group of people to harass me outdoors.
Drinks are a bit expensive, but theyve got plenty to do if youre into that activity-style club
This place use to be good, now they only play one country song every 2 hours? What kind of Texas country place is this? Better luck at whiskey river or Wild West .. this place sucks now..
It is a great place, offering virility of music! Had a great fun
ATM out of service on a Friday night. Lots of fights & unruly illegals. Overpriced drinks. Not near enough seating. Sound sucks - couldnt understand a word of what Aaron Lewis said. You couldnt pay me to go back. Hope AL plays at another spot in Houston sometime!
LOVE the huge dance floor great ppl, good Customer Service at the door and even at the bar!! DJ play all the songs I love! All in all its a great atmosphere!! ;)
Best country venue in Houston, hands down. Fantastic place for a night out or for a concert. Staff is very accommodating and the owners are great.
Had a great time here! Definitely recommend! Big Dance Floor , great music and awesome drinks!
A lot of fun! Lots of different options if you’re not trying to two-step all night. Karaoke and a big bar upstairs or bull riding right when you walk in!
Best dance hall and great musicians play here the sound system is great except sometimes you cant not here the vocals . but most of all its fantastic.
Love this place atmosphere and music is great but bartenders are rude for no reason to everyone definitely need to hire new staff. If you want to order a drink better think twice
Great two stepping bar!! Huge dance floor and affordable drinks
Each time a stampede representative come to my home, they are always on time. They are very thorough with spraying both outside as well as inside. They even help keep the pesky snakes out of my garage!
One, if not the best country club to go to around Texas. I am a Marine vet and Ive seen many other places and this one is by far on top of its game. The bartenders, Staff, security, and the dj are on point. It has my business.
If i can rate them any lower, i would. Worst experience ever. Bartenders are rude and will scream at you. Owner is rude herself. I only been here once and never again will i return.
Wouldnt let us re-enter with 40 minutes left to close we werent there for even 2 hours. I had 1 drink my brother had 2 ridiculous... All in all i dont think they let us enter for whatever other reason.
Good sometimes. Other times we can predict the playlist. Will return per usual!!!
Don’t let easah go there
Highly overrated. Way to expensive.
Staff is awful, “new policy” requires mandatory search before entry but zero sanitary precautions being taken, when asked to sanitize hands before searching will tell you they cannot and if you ask them to wear gloves they do not have those either, if you complain about the sanitary condition they will tell you to take your business elsewhere, real stand up place.
Biggest sausage party in town 20 guys to every 1 girl do not go! Horrible experience! Worst country club in Houston area!
What an amazing place! The dance floor is huge and the staff is amazing. It is my favorite weekend home away from home!
I love this country bar! Defiantly the best go-to night out with the girls. Saturday nights are lit 🙌
Are you opening tomorrow night?
Had our friend b/day party there we all had a good time and lots of drink specials thank you
Very dirty and the people are rude.
Love this place! Free dance lessons every Friday night, cause Im a little rusty, and I danced my arse off!

10Big dance floor, friendly service, good crowd and good drinks. Saturday night is ladies night, ladies in free by 10 pm
Huge country club, live venue, normal concert drink prices, Valet was fast, lots of parking.
Great venue. Reasonable drink prices and attentive bouncers to keep the shenanigans to a minimum.
Excellent service, Great music. The place to be for ladies on Saturday nite and Dare Fridays is also awesome.....
Free dance lessons 7:30 pm on Fridays. Great bartenders, bouncers and concerts...
Had my vehicle stolen from the parking lot, keys in my pocket. Wont go back.
Good Atmasphere just wanted the DJ to play Post Malone Pshyco but its hard to get to the DJ for a request
Not bad, first time here large dance floor good music, friendly bartenders
Lot smaller dance floor than I was expecting for such a large building. Very old crowd, like 60s plus.
One of the best bars in Houston 🥃🍶🍷🍻🍺🍹🍸🥂🍾 Loved it ❤🤍💙 Happy New Years 😍😘🥰
Massive place! Love it! Always a good time & good shows too! Must go y’all!

Huge country club with other rooms and variety of music. Great place to have fun.
YES I LOVE dancing with my friends at STEMPEE DANCE CLUB OK HENRY ARRIZOLA FRIEND ALWAYS
Went for a concert. The amount of smoking could kill you. Over crowded for reserved seating. Not enough bartenders.
Didnt let my step dad in for a tattoo he had so if you go make sure you dont have tattoos!
Awesome place very relaxing drama free area, great service and karaoke room
Lots of parking. Nice building but every dance is almost the same
Rude bartenders and dance floor is wayyy too crowded to even try to dance on.
Great place for a concert & of course... a little country dancing!
Wonderful place to unwind and have some drinks....then party
Company event was hosted here, overall had a great time.
So happy that they banned smoking! At least one good thing came out of the pandemic
Lost all my money at friday night poker. 5 stars for the conversations
Great place to go for country people!! Great time, definitely will be going again:)
Love this place. Drinks are good and reasonably priced.
Stampede Houston is the best biggest country and western club I have ever seen.
Great vive, reasonably priced drinks and awesome bartenders.
Love this place, the services and the BBQ Man outside. Just awesome

Stamped is junk.. the music belonged next door at escapade..

Just dont. There are better places in Houston. This place is not the one.
Nice place to dance. Intimate concert location.
Great place to chill and have some drinks.
Lots of Dancefloor room to twirl a girl and cut that rug
