My company recently did a buy out of several of the FWD hospitality venues including FWD, Glamper, Welcome to the Farm, I Hate Cowboys, Hi5. Rick Turner and his team were great to work with, understand the opportunity for hosting and delivered as our partner in hosting one of the most incredible nights Ive had in all my years working in Cleveland. The attendees were all from out of town and book events and conventions for a living- so they have seen it all and are not easily impressed, and they had the BEST experience. I highly recommend the incredible experience of buying out the venues, opening it all up and utilizing the boardwalk- it was a perfect summer evening on the water and were so grateful for the partnership. FWD day and nightclub is a jewel for the city of Cleveland. Having been to multiple clubs all over the world, I can truly say that FWD can hold its own against some of the best clubs in the world.We have an unforgettable night at this outdoor riverside nightclub every time we go! The ambiance is absolutely magical . The music is top-notch, and kudos to the entire FwD team for being able to arrange a worldclass DJ lineup throughout the year , the only one of its kind in the entire state of Ohio. They are good at keeping the energy high all night long. The open-air setting makes the experience even more special. The staff are friendly and attentive, ensuring everyone has a great time. Whether youre looking for a vibrant party or a relaxing evening in a pool by the river with amazing music, this place has it all.

Me and my friends frequently get sections at FWD during the summer when its open. It is by far the best spot to be in Cleveland during the summer. The workers always help and are super friendly the entire time. If you are celebrating anything this is the place to go!

A unique experience for Cleveland. I experienced similar day and night clubs when I lived in Vegas. They def know how to throw a party. Beautiful waterfront location. Convenient parking lot right in front of the building for only $20. Def a fun time. Staff and security were friendly. Would highly recommend.

Came here to see MGK & Nelly. The place was PACKED. The line to get in was very long but they got through it quickly once the doors opened. Bartenders and staff were super friendly. The only complaint I have is they need to have a section for handicapped/wheelchair users to sit.

I wouldn’t let the allure of some bigger DJ’s performing allude you from the fact that this place sucks. I’ve been a few times and I’m let down every time. The workers aren’t friendly, rain or shine (no refunds - even if it’s down pouring the entire time with no cover from the rain), no re-entry, etc. If you’re into main stream, basic clubs then come here. But there are other places that make this club look like trash.

Michele is the best Bartender. First time there was tchami last year and posted up at the bar and met her with my friends. Came last night to Malaa and we got the same fantastic service. Depending on who is playing is depending on how much they charge for drinks, entrance and if you can even sit down. 50 cent played for a whole 36 minutes and you had to pay outrageous money to get in, to park..etc...oh and it depends on which bar tender waits on you is how much you pay for drinks. NOT WORTH IT!!

Had a blast! John was a great friendly bartender, he went above and beyond with me and my girls. We were there in the early evening with a bachelorette party.Its nice there is so may bars around the dance floor.No seats anywhere is you dont reserve/buy an entire section.The dj was also really great!

This place is one of the BEST spots to be in the summer. Its has a gorgeous view of the lake along with the cool trains the pass by. I came for Dom Dolla during 4th of July weekend, and it was truly Magical. Everyone from the hosts at the front door, to the bartending staff, to the security were all kind! FWD throws the BEST pool parties in town, it should be a MUST during the summertime.

Place is really fun, But...they no longer do pool days on Saturdays, only sundays. I miss the old days of fwd where they had themed parties like sandlot, yacht club, and baywatch at the pool

I havent been to the downtown Flats area since they remodeled everything years ago. It was a friends birthday party so I decided to venture and try it out. Can I just say its one of the best times Ive had in the past 10 years!! The atmosphere was very upbeat New York style people were dressed the way they should be when going out nobody had their pants sagging off their butt and the ladies were Tastefully sexy it was more of an upper-class environment. We had table service in a nice u shaped couch area the whole evening for 15 people was about $3,000 considering all the bottles & mixers plus the wonderful service we got everybody was extremely happy. The music was non-stop amazing the DJ they have is really top notch. I cant wait till next summer when they Re open. I did learn that company has another bar dance club in the area called Magnolia.I will be checking this out! Lol I personally will pay 20.00 cover charge if it keeps out the cheap creepy rif-raf that start fights and make my life out sub-par . I was very comfortable and felt safe. Everyone was respectful... Just loved everything. Wish I wasnt a winter bday.

My favorite thing about FWD nightclub is that it definitely has a Miami nightlife type of atmosphere. Being outside and on the water makes the experience amazing, and the staff is phenomenal. The fact that we have something like this in Cleveland remains unmatched. Easily my favorite place to go!

This venue will give you Vegas/Miami vibes with a local waterfront experience. Highly suggest checking FWD out. You wont regret it!

TERRIBLE nightclub with an even more terrible staff who allows patrons to remove their masks once inside, only to spread their germs amongst each other on a crowded dance floor. They are NOT following any social distancing procedures and when confronted about it on social media, this establishment responded by blocking concerned patrons. This place cares about profits over people and I wish I could give them zero stars. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU CARE ABOUT THE WELLBEING OF YOURSELF AND OTHERS AROUND YOU.

I attended this nightclub for the first time for the Purple Project charity event. It was an amazing set up right on the water and outside. Very cool atmosphere. Everyone was so nice and the band on stage and dancing made for a very fun summer night. Will definitely recommend this to others especially the stage and acoustics set up. Perfect outdoor/music hang out.

I had the most fun here celebrating my best friend’s birthday. We got a section and everyone was so attentive and great and the atmosphere is just unmatched. Best time in Cleveland!

8/24/23 - I and a group of 7 other friends went here for the DJ Pauly D show. We were right in the front against the stage, it was amazing. The fog machines were going off every 20 or 30 minutes maybe, right in my face but I didnt think anything of it. I didnt drink anything except water while we were there from 9pm until around 11pm. I stepped out of the crowd and went to go stand next to the bar because I thought I was having anxiety (my chest started feeling tight and I couldnt get a good deep breath) after just a couple seconds I lost consciousness, came to on the floor with a bouncer yanking me up by the arm. The first thing I told him was I had ahstma, he said to get out. I said I cant move yet, he pulled me toward the door. My glasses had flew off when I hit the floor, I told him this and again he said I need to go. He never once asked if I need medical attention, didnt offer to help find my glasses, wouldnt let me look for them. He told me to walk, I walked backward and foward just fine, reiterated that I havent drank or taken anything and that I think the fog machine/dry ice machine triggered an ahstma attack. He again tried to pull me toward the door. Someone in the crowd got my friends attention and by the time they got to me and found my glasses I was loosing consciousness again. My friend caught me and was able to lower me to the ground. We all got thrown out when I came too. After I got some ice on my body and was able to breathe we walked to entrance and I explained what happened to a different man and he immediately said the cO2 will do that! I told him I didnt want to go back in and risk it but I wanted my friends to be let back in to enjoy the show. He was very polite and actually cared it felt like, he was nice enough to let them in and to not have to wait in line again. This business isnt one Ill return to though. Train your people on how to handle and realize a medical situation. I was an alone woman who lost consciousness, didnt lonehave a phone/wallet or anything on my person, relayed I had a medical condition and you automatically try to shove me out the door? Imagine if he wouldve gotten me outside (it was a side entrance with no one else out there) and my friends hadnt known where I was, I didnt have phone or ID on me (my friend was carrying it for me), but what if I wouldve lost consciousness again outside alone... Would it have been better seeing this story on the news? Maybe I wouldve smacked my head on the concrete in that scenario and never woke up again. Or maybe someone mightve found me and did whatever they wanted.. Train your employees better FWD. Also please point those machines upward instead of directly down into the crowd so this doesnt happen to someone else.

The atmosphere on the waterfront is so unique. The staff are all professional and inviting. Whether you are chilling by the pool or on the dance floor it’s always a good time!

FWD is one of the best run clubs in Cleveland. The employees go out of their way to make you feel at home. The managers are great at accommodating gusts needs. FWD is the top club in Ohio. MGK played an amazing show. Will be coming back to FWD more in the future

FWD is Vegas meets Cleveland, in all the best ways. This Day/Nightclub is one of the hottest vibes in Cleveland. They always have great DJs and the open-air concept, couched amidst shipping containers, is a rich part of the East Bank Flats scene. You havent experienced summer in Cleveland if you havent partied at FWD at least once.

I have absolutely nothing good to say about this club… and by the sounds of it after this last weekend, not many people do. MGK was in town and his concert finished up at 11:40 or so. FWD said that no matter what, you can not get in after 12:30. Everyone was walking from the stadium to FWD, on top of that town was absolutely NUTS because of MGK and the concert. They turned many people away at the door, even after spending $70+ on tickets. The only reason I even tried to go was because of MGK, but this place is a joke. Wasn’t able to go and I’m sure they won’t issue a refund. Do not waste your time or money on this place. There are many smaller clubs/bars that would appreciate the business.

We just had our 6th annual charity concert, Rock N Rescue at FWD Day + Nightclub. Year after year FWD and their staff exceed all expectations from planning to execution. Each year, Mitch is excellent and provides the best support in event planning and aces every detail. We look forward to future events at FWD.

Super rude staff. Just didnt let us back in - didnt use exit. Not coming back. Complete idiots. Cleveland clubs dont know how to retain customers but just make money of desperate people.

Without a doubt the best club in the midwest. The atmosphere and service is top notch and the Dj line up is always unmatched, combined with the stellar sound and lighting this place always delivers.

Showed up at 5:15 for a friend’s birthday party (they close at 6). Mentioned that I was joining a party to the guy at the door and he said no matter what I couldn’t come in even if I didn’t plan on swimming or staying past 6.Terrible, rude service. Honestly ruined a day after I drove out after work to go wish my friend a happy birthday- couldn’t even do that.Couldn’t recommend this place less. You’re better off walking across the street and spending your money at Margaritaville with the way that they treat people.

FWD is the closest thing Cleveland has to a Vegas night club. I saw Kaskade here recently and had a great time. My only complaint is that the drinks are expensive and not the best quality for the price, however I will be returning for the vibes.

I love this place. Spacious, outdoor and just so vibrantly amazing. Had a section reserved last week to celebrate my graduation and the server was very attentive. The front fellows were very prompt. This place gives you a taste of a mega city partying vibe in a smaller city like Cleveland.

This was my first summer back in Cleveland after being gone years! Love this City, and the best DAY and NiGHT CLUB in it, is FWD. This place is full of energy. Yeah, it’s not Vegas. It’s better. I don’t need to get on a plane and fly there to have the greatest night ever! Thank you for the drinks and worth the hang over! Love you FWD! Oh and check out the pool during the day. It’s open online 12-6pm and FREE! 😎🥂

Charged 300 dollars per bottle for service. Waitress didnt have clean cups, always out of mixers, no ice, didnt pour the table drinks. Worst part was the auto gratuity for zero service. I had to go down and ask bartenders for juice and glassware. Other cabanas were taking our ice and red bull and no security around at all to complain. I wont attend again as so many fun and new options in the area that perform to a way higher standard than forward for a better value. Not gonna cut it.

All I have to say is...From the DJ selection, to the people there, to the drinks... it is absolutely amazing!!! But the venue itself.. I’m blown away! It is one-of-a-kind and known internationally! There is no other place like it in Cleveland and that’s facts. If you like the night life then you NEED to come to FWD!

Music sucks and overpriced. You can’t put this kind of place in Cleveland and expect to attract cool people. All you will get is Cleveland losers, bums and slobs all around you and wasted people should be shown the door! Your bringing our classy meter down! Bottle girls think they are so hot when they are all ugly and have makeup caked on. Weak! Bottle service is overpriced, you get to look at a crappy city and the people who live in it all around you. Move FWD to Chicago and play better music!

Had a party for a friend who had just gotten back from a deployment and the staff were extremely accommodative for us. They upgraded us to a private table for the pool party and it was the best time we had all summer. Everything was clean and the pool was refreshing. There’s no better way to beat the heat and spend a Saturday, especially with the dj and live music. Nothing else like in Cleveland.

I purchased VIP meet n Greet tickets to see Pauly D on 7/3. When I approached the line at FWD, I inquired where the line was for VIP meet n Greet. One employee directed me to one line and when that line was approached, I was redirected to the front of building. I entered the building through the front entrance where my friends and I spent over $100 in drinks as we waited for Pauly D to arrive. Approximately 11:30 pm, I realized it seemed odd that my ticket seem to be the same as general admission. I approached a security guard who advised Meet n Greet was hours ago at Magnolia. I asked him who I needed to speak with to assist with this as we were never advised to go to Magnolia and he ignored me. I left the front of the dance floor and proceeded to ask any employee for assistance and continued to be directed to the wrong person. When directed to the owner, he was rude, advised there was nothing he could do and basically dismissed our conversation after spending hundreds of dollars on this event. I left FWD and went to Magnolia as some employees advised to then be advised by the head Security guard that the meet n greet was over. Head Security proceeded to say Pauly D was no longer taking photos. I spent over $200 on ticket sales, another $100 in drinks to not have the service I purchased rendered to me. I cant begin to tell you how disappointed I am for attending this venue for the first time and to be treated as poorly as I was. I have paid for a service that was not rendered and when I attempted to seek assistance was treated like trash. I requested reimbursement that night and was treated poorly by all employees and never directed to who I can speak to to resolve this matter. I am requesting my sale on tickets to be reimbursed to me as I never received what I paid for.

The best night club in Ohio. Management is phenomenal, the staff is super friendly, and the crowd is the best I’ve seen around in Cleveland. This past weekend was probably one of the best weekends at FWD with MGK.

Good parts: the atmosphere is more like LA, Miami, NYC, or Vegas. Bars and clubs are the same, overpriced drinks....what else is new.Bad parts: the dress code is not wholly enforced......people walking in with jeans, hats, and sneakers. Just cause its outside doesnt mean smokers and vapers should be free to smoke.They need to escort drunk idiots and hood rats out asap. The bathrooms werent clean as they couldve been. The bouncers are kind of idiots and the scantily clad servers was too much.

This review relates to 2019, I gave FWD four stars because this is an amazing club with great music, location, and atmosphere. Ive only been to the pool parties during the day in 2019 however. But...it could use improvements, like for example, management needs to communicate better with the other staff members, like the door staff. They do not answer the phone number provided to call or text. They in 2019 hosted a fitness event almost every saturday morning which disrupted their capacity limits, and at the door they changed their rules at the last minute due to this. We tried calling beforehand, no reply on fitness event rules. They post on Instagram their hours and that they are open but say otherwise at the door. I am NOT here to discuss COVID-19 issues, as I understand hardships businesses went through in 2020. I hope 2021 can be a better experience for everyone!

Worst experience Ive had going to a club. I waited in line for a bathroom for over 20 mins!! Ridiculous! They had other bathrooms closed? As I was finally next in line to use the restroom. A FWD employee ropes off my line and a huge group of VIP consumers get to use the bathroom! I had to PAY $20 to get in this place and the rope the bathroom off for VIP! It should have been roped off the whole time or these VIP consumers should have their own bathroom! I had to use tge bathroom soo bad. This place is big enough they should not have lines like this. Horrible dont go here. Overrated.

When we went to FWD, the line was very long and we waited 20 minutes to get in. I was dressed properly. The bouncers at the door would not allow me into the club because I was wearing sneakers. I was wearing a pair of Yeezy shoes and I also saw many other people wearing them inside such as other security guards. I went to the next line over and the bouncer easily let me in. For a club thats in downtown Cleveland, I expected the staff to be respectful. That was my first and last time at FWD day and night club.

Bottle girls tried adding an extra 250.00 to the bill. When asked about the charge management replied dont come here if you cant afford it. Pretty comical seeing Id already spent 2200.00 on an overrated wannabe Las Vegas night club built out of shipping containers. Whole thing felt cringy and offensive, wont be back.

Wished I could give less than 1 star. Security made me feel better unsafe. Whole atmosphere had me questioning my decision to come.

FWD is not only one of the best night clubs Ive ever been to in Cleveland but it is one of the best in the country. Every experience is one too remember, everyone is welcoming and inviting, not only that but it is a beautiful venue.

A refreshing Vegas style vibe in Cleveland Ohio. Their bar transforms to pool bar by day to outdoor dance club by night, with live entertainment and great staff. Definitely the place to be if you’re out on the town during a Cleveland summer.

This place is amazing! The vibe was unreal. Came with a group of friends and was treated so well 10 out of 10 would come again. Thank you to all staff members for making the night so memorable.

I love going to this place, pretty much have a good time every time I go, bit the bouncers think they slick and try ro hustle people at the door to get in. I was dressed very up to par ,but the bouncer try to charge me $20 extra because I had on a dressy pair of cargo shorts on... but let other people in that was dressed way more down than me... Bouncers are a bunch of scammers and management really needs to look into their employees before or hire new ones

Best club to be at in cleveland in the summer. well known djs come here, but ive noticed that theyve had the same ones multiple times instead of getting more, and even better ones. (a lot more/better djs go to clubs in columbus that havent come to cleveland). ticket prices for events usually arent bad if you get them soon, but you can expect to pay the same price to get in on just a normal night, which is why i dont go as much as i would like to. when pauly d was there, it was very crowded and a lot of people were being rude. one girl pretty much ruined my night and a manager noticed i wasnt happy and asked if everything was okay and bought me and my boyfriend drinks!

Fun atmosphere and great music! Definitely a little pricey but thats understandable for the location and type of club that it is. There is dress code and usually a cover as well as a long line depending on what time you go.

First time there, Pauly D put on a great show. But the security there is garbage, tries fighting people without having any clue what even happened. Definitely my last time going there.

They are trying to do something nice. The location is cool and all, friendly staff. If you are coming in from out of town be warned there is about as much dance room on the Dance floor as your flight seat.

If you want an escape from the normal Cleveland club, this is the place to be. FWD is like a Miami club right in the heart of the flats. Great out door atmosphere, fun music, and beautiful people!

Bunch of fools. The dress code only applies to guys. They will let any girl in. My girlfriend was wearing everything against dress code and they let her in but not me. Don’t waste ur money

Had a great time seeing ARTY here! Beers werent overly expensive and the crowd with decent enough. Not over crowded. Smaller stage, but plenty of standing room.

Really great atmosphere, staff, and setup of the club. I went for a Steve Aoki concert and was definitely not disappointed, and will be back!

Allowed a patron to assault a gay man at an event advertised as LGBT then didnt do anything to the perpetrator. Not a supportive place to LGBT People and not the first time queer people have been discriminated against in the establishment at a queer event.

Awesome live music venue. They also have an in-ground pool. Exclusive cabanas for bottle service is definitely a no brainer here.

I have been to this establishment a few times and I have had a terrible experience almost every time. Some of the staff is nice and helpful, however the bouncers are terrible people, and the managers cannot help you with anything.

Security are on a power trip and it’s ridiculous. My friend and I were at fwd tonight- barely tipsy and got kicked out for being too drunk?? Lmao security said we were stumbling and we had to leave. We had to have been the most sober people in the club. Walked up to a manager and tried to talk it through and were told “it’s security’s discretion, if they think you were too drunk you can’t come back in.” After spending $60+ to even get in this was truly the most insane thing I’ve ever experienced. Will never come back. So wild I cannot wrap my head around it- not worth your time.
