Two weeks ago I was invited to a private media event at Bazal Gallery to preview this one of kind concept here in Charlotte was amazing.Art & nightlife scene combined is absolutely genius .Bazal Gallery and nightclub opened last night to the public. It’s definitely worth going to check out .

After nearly two years of not going to nightclubs due to the pandemic, my friends and I decided to attend Bazals grand opening last night. And aside from waiting in high heels with the long line of excited patrons to get in for about 45 minutes, the experience was a fun one!Bazal is a beautifully decorated two-story art gallery-style lounge and dance club. Two DJs — one spinning mainly house on the top floor, the other at the bottom of a swooping spiral staircase (in the actual nightclub part of Bazal) mixing Top 40 — were keeping the people dancing, laughing, talking, and vibing. The dress code was upscale chic... lots of tiny cocktail dresses and suit jackets. (Their website has guidelines on what you can and cant get away with).Some service notes:• The bartenders were pouring heavy last night, which is a good or bad thing depending on who you are as a drinker. They even have a menu selection of cocktails that looked delicious. The prices for most drinks werent terrible (average $9). I was drinking tequila-ginger ales and the buzz was real after the first one.• The ladies restrooms are well-lit, small and modestly designed, yet one can always find comfort in closed-door bathroom stalls that are kept clean.• The security and staff were quietly friendly and helpful, but did seem a little disorganized at times. (It was their first day so Im giving them grace).• There are very few places to sit or hang back if your feet ache in your heels. Ultimately, I just took my heels off and ended up dancing the night away in thong sandals.• The VIP/table service (if youre into that) is relatively well-priced for Charlotte. $200 for about 8 people with a one bottle minimum.Altogether, I had a great time with my friends, dancing, admiring the various outfits, and meeting new people. It felt very lavish and haughty, but also casual and fun.If you like house music and Top 40 club music that makes you pump your fist, youll find yourself having a good time out at Bazal. Im sure lots of people who came to last nights grand opening were feeling the same as us — were a just getting a feel for what it means to have a nightlife again.

Went here last night to celebrate my best friends birthday. To sum up the experience. Bartender=RUDE, before I pay for my drink i take a sip. It taste like watered down fruit punch. No. I didnt tip her, so she got mad. Security=RUDE, pushing people to make way for the bottle girls. In a standing room only that was packed. The music was okay but by 1am my crew and I were sleepy (we arrived at 1130). Staff very unprofessional and they are a representation of you (Mr. Thomas) and this establishment. No, you cant control staff attitudes but you have paying custmers they want to have a good time. However, it gets ruined by RUDE staff. I may try again because I love to support black businesses.

My friends and I went to ClubONE March 9th for my 23rd birthday. Ladies were free before 11. We were in a rush but we got in line at 10:55. There was only about 2 people in front of us. The bouncer did not let us in until 11:01 and when we got to the window we were told we had to pay $20 to get in. At this point we were already pissed off but then we go downstairs and there is only 5 people in the club?! So we waited to get in just so they could charge us. Drinks are expensive as hell and the bartenders were too focused on the men trying to get drinks I waited too long for mine. The music was good and the club did get a lot busier later on. There is an upstairs area that plays different music and has a separate bar. There is also an outdoor area where you can bring your drinks out to and smoke.

Attended the grand opening on saturday. I had an excuse to dress up. The upstairs is beautiful. Art gallery with nice cocktails. Downstairs definitely has the club vibe and the dj was getting the club jumpin. The music was good loved the hip hop definitely had the party going. Definitely the new spot to be.Ps some of these reviews are for an older club! Not sure why they’re still up.

The attitude of the front door young lady staff was negative. They were establishing a new system with scanning Drivers Licenses and she spoke with attitude and distain when I asked for the number of my husband and I to be under one account number. She not only cut her eyes but stared at me. I did Not allow it to impact my night and my husband and I paid the high entry fee of $20 a person. The music was very good...even if it was empty.

My experience at Bazal was terrible. Upon entering, I was met with the rudest person at the door. It was pouring raining and instead of being considerate and trying to get guest out of the rain, the rude man at the door held an umbrella only over himself and refused to let us show him our IDs under the awning.

I thoroughly enjoyed club one! Me and my friends went to celebrate my 25th birthday on a Saturday night and we LOVED it! The vibe was nice, the drink prices were reasonable, the dj was playing the right songs, the club design and set up from the upstairs/downstairs was nice, and most importantly we didnt have to wait long to get inside the club!!! Peter was there the entire night dancing and tending to his guest, Mali Music was there and had the mic, and Anthony Hamilton!!! Again my friends and I had a great time and would definitely be back when we revisit Charlotte❤️

I went there last night for the first time would never go back. The staff is very rude. I ordered me & a couple ladies some drinks. The bartender held me card even scan it with some ink thing it took her 15 min. That was very embarrassing, She had my card & id . I went as far as to show her my bank statements online like you already got your money it came off my card. I still had to wait for my card & id after I guess the cute white boy bar manger came over to help her with the ink thing they copy your card with how weird. I would never go back here in my life. I g to the best bars across the city never had this issue. The think everyone is a scam & treat your h like that with a card. Who has cash on them nowadays? Peter Im very disappointed I had a better time at bar one. Club one sucks.

Oh my Goodness! This was the WORST experience ever at a club!!!!! I was treated so rudely by the staff on my birthday weekend! Everyone I came with said they were just rude for no reason at all! The bouncer made the worst comments ever to my friends as well as myself! If I ran this place I would definitely consider hiring better staff! The staff is what makes the experience so bad! The dress code should be grown and sexy but everyone looked like they were going to church picnics in sun dresses and flip flops. It was so bad! The drinks were terrible! Prices were very reasonable but I guess you pay for what you get. I wouldnt recommend anyone to this club! Dont waste your money or time! I wish I would have read some of the other reviews before spending all of 30 minutes of my life here. I attended ClubONE with some of my relatives and friends. The club was okay and the music was great. The security was kind of rude when it came down to the reserved areas upstairs at the club. It was our first time there, so we didn’t know we could not sit in those areas. The drinks at the bar tasted watery, but that could easily be fixed. Overall, I believe I would go back to this club, but I would recommend seating for the guest and not just VIP. My feet was killing me, but that’s just a suggestion.

The people that work here are rude. Also how are you a place of business and only have $1 bills as change?? The upstairs is a nice lounge feel and thats about all this place has going for it. The drinks cost too much and poorly made, the dance floor which is downstairs has the VIP section in the middle of the floor so not much of a dance floor then have people just standing around. I thought it was going to be more of a grown and sexy vibe and that wasnt the case. I like SportsOne but this place not so much. That was my 1st and last time in this place!

Took my friend here for her bday last night. Its free before 1030pm but they only allow you to mingle upstairs and on the balcony. No one was allowed downstairs in the main club room until after 1130pm. Watched several people attempt to go down and be told by bouncers it was too early. Totally killed our pregame buzz we had going. Once we did get downstairs the space was tiny. Absolutely no seating unless you had VIP. If you wanted to sit you had to take a hike back upstairs. Place was decorated VERY nicely tho.

Very nice venue, great music and has the POTENTIAL to show patrons and supporters a good time. I visited on April 13th and was immediately turn off by the bouncers and security! They were rude throughout the entire club. If you’re planning to go during the Spring and Summer months make sure you have on a full fashion-foward 10 piece suit because they will challenge you about your attire. It was really warm outside so I decided to wear a collared button down shirt, prep shorts, and toms and they were hesitant to allow me in for that. Once you’re in to inside they begin checking you attire again and you can’t go in certain areas of the club downstairs if you aren’t dressed appropriately. Some of the ladies working the door, including Ashley, provided excellent service. I would like to visit again however, I think Peter should host a training for his bouncers and security on how to deliver exceptional service. Oh, the also weren’t very articulate either.

Nice setup. Me and my wife went for our anniversary, but I paid 33 bucks for a double Jack and a Grey Goose. We sat in the lounge area, but when we went downstairs to the club, there was no air?!?!? Ive been around the world, never experienced anything like this, but has good potential. Also, you have to pay 10 bucks to wear a hat, really lame. Have to do better.

Dont waste your time. There is nowhere to sit down. I Went here for Ciaa weekend. The females at the door are rude. The bouncers are rude. Shout out to the short dude that was outside working the line the coolest one of them all. Shout out to the bar tenders they were cool too. This club is definitely overrated!!. Both DJs were wack. It had 2 levels but for what? You dont have enough people for 2 levels clubone. Wont waste my time again. Save your money. Putting money in rude ass club promoters/owners pockets is something I will definitely not do. 💯

Worse experience in a club I’ve ever had !! My sister and I came from out of town to celebrate her birthday. My family suggested this club. We paid $20 to get in here. Upon entering, we had to wait until 11:30 to go down stairs. In less than 10 minutes of finally going down stairs the fire alarm goes off. Yes the fire alarm ! We went upstairs to see what was going on. Everyone from the club had not left because there was no fire ! We asked staff members why the alarm was going off, NO ONE had answers, we were just told to be patient. Everyone requested their money back because we literally had only been in the club for less than 30 minutes before the alarm goes off. The staff insisted they don’t give refunds. Upon the fire department arriving, we were all told to evacuate the building , less not forget it was less than 30 degrees. In total the alarm ended up going off for about 1 hour without any answers from staff and no option to get our money back. We stood outside for about 30 minutes in the freezing cold. The Fire Departmnet got the situation under control and we were allowed back in. No staff spoke of the situation anymore and one staff member (Lucci) in particular told me that it was only around 12:30 so I should just enjoy the rest of my time. Will never be going back to this place. No customer service skills and no one drove from out of town to pay 20 to stand out in the cold.

They were extremely discriminatory... They didnt let someone in from the group I was with because of what they were wearing.. BUT I counted about 5 people with similar attire and theirs were equipped with sneakers. Also, they didnt open the club /bottom portion until 1am. We were stuck in the lounge area... The lounge area is small but beautiful however their selective policies could use some revisions,

All in all a nice place. 1st Time there everything was going great until one of your female bartenders looks me dead in the eye and says,are you going to tip this round. So unprofessional... just to let her know I’m the guy that left you 100 on a 30tab... Peter great atmosphere but this girl will ruin what you’ve established if she keep this attitude up. Last time I checked tipping was optional...

Definitely wasn’t worth it. I’m not from around here and it definitely cut my nightlife experience short, never will I ever try another club out here again. Spent $60 to get in plus $5 to park and was only there for 15mins. The vibe was completely creepy and downstairs smelt like Fritos. We literally walked down the stairs and instantly were stared down like we were in the wrong place. When we ask for our money back they said it was a “red carpet event” and accused us for being there for 30mins and we couldn’t get a refund.

I was standing in line at this establishment last night with my husband. We were waiting to enter. The doormen insulted this poor lady and humilated her, it was so ackward to watch. I felt terrible for her and how they talked to her. Just like that I let my husband know this is a place we will not be spending our money at. So we left. If staff is like that on the outside theyll be worse on the inside. Peter Thomas the only reason my husband brought me here last night cause Im a fan of yours. You should check your staff and make sure they treat your guest with respect and with dignity so your club can be really successful. But having employees like that can bring you down. I still pray for your success. God Bless

My sister invited me out at the last minute.. Said we were going to club 1 never been here before tonight and little did I know the Real Housewives of ATL were filming here tonight! **big whoop** Im not that much of a fan but do know the show! Anywho I paid to get in along with my sister I will admit I was underdressed for the party, however I didnt think it was a big deal I was still let in the club! About an hour of being there someone walks up to me and says management is complaining about my attire 😒 And tried to ask me leave but wasnt trying to give me my money back! So instead was told to go to the dance floor. Needless to say I felt some type of way! I only stayed bc my sister wanted to stay and she drove tonight! I literally had on some high waist jeans and a crop top. And from a customer perspective no one should ever be treated like that! If I dont want to dress with my ass out and in 6inch heels I wont! If you dont want me in your club then let me know at the door not an hour or more of being there after Ive spent my money getting in and at the bar. First impressions are lasting impressions I probably will never come bck here again regardless of who shows up.

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY! Security treated the group of people I was with like criminals and we were just coming to have a good time. We prepaid for a table at the club and they would not let us in for various reasons #1 we where late getting there( if the table is paid for whats the problem)? # 2 someone we were with was violating dress code by wearing a hat( people were paying $ 10 to where hats inside the club which we were willing to pay) # 3 The person that booked the table had on a jersey( while we outside waiting to get in a group of people enter one wearing the same EXACT jersey as my friend)! This was a joke they might have already sold his table to make double money. FIRST AND LAST TIME.

On this past Saturday, myself and 14 others were met with the worst experience imaginable. Before our experience began at the club we had the worst time trying to find a representative from the club that could help us with booking a table. We were finally reached out to by a male that claimed to be affiliated with the club. Dominique, a promoter for the club, is not affiliated in any shape or form with ClubONE. Nonetheless, had access to official ClubONE social media pages for promotion purposes. Dominique was not authorized to make any business dealings for VIP sections on behalf of ClubONE, but took it upon himself to do so anyway. When it was time to make deposit through Cashapp, Dominique had an email address listed that was affiliated with the club.When we got to the club, we spent an hour standing just inside the door not allowed to enter due to this discrepancy. After spending countless time at the door receiving the complete opposite of VIP treatment we were finally allowed to stand in the lobby. After spending an enormous amount of time discussing what went wrong, Dominique made an attempt to keep deposit money that did not belong to him. To attempt to alleviate himself from this issue, he let us know a few hours before getting to the club that ownership changed VIP prices and they were effective that day. This was not true at all. This would have made us pay $1200 at the door opposed to the $950 we agreed on through prior communication. We placed a $300 deposit originally to solidify our section. We paid this money almost a month in advance and the night of he still had not given the money to the club. Therefore, it appeared we needed to pay a full balance.We traveled from out of town looking for the best experience personified by the club and got the complete opposite by an attempt by a promoter to prey upon out of town guest. Luckily, we are adults that can shovel through inconsistencies. Yes, we did get everything straightened out and my wife was able to salvage the rest of her birthday celebration. What Dominique did was questionable and I let the staff know at the club that an establishment of their proposed status should not be affiliated with anyone that would go great lengths to scam funds from the the club.

My husband and I really enjoyed ourselves. Peter and the staff were super nice. The bartender, I cant remember her name, she fix me a drink and it was sooooo good. When I went to the bar she knew what I wanted. The atmosphere was very nice!! Will go back again in the future!👍👍👍👍👍

I didnt write this to rate as I have not visited the club yet. Im not a club person, however since recently back in the dating game I thought I might just visit ClubOne. After reading the reviews Im a bit leary about visiting as If Im going to spend money I would hope that the staff is professional, the attire is grown folks and not sneakers and flip flops like one person said. I dont drink alcohol so I dont have to worry about my drink being watered down. I just want to come out be treated with respect and have a nice time. Not originally from Charlotte, have lived here since 2015 this time around and never been out to a club in Charlotte. Im going to really have to think about visiting here after so many not so good reviews. I do hope that this club work out for you as I am a Peter Thomas fan.

Drinks are watered down and over priced for a cup of ice, a splash of alcohol and the rest juice. The men in black as I call them were unnecessary. It was to many of them. Its as if the owner is trying to hard to make this place seem upscale. Your clientele will dictate that. How about a no sneaker policy for starters. Beautiful club though.

Overrated, over priced. $20 to get in, $10 for a drink, and it was lame. The club is pretty, but that’s about it. Maybe because everyone from the age ranges 25 - 50 were in there and these age groups don’t party the same. The booth prices are laughable for the experience. It was my second time going, (each was on a Saturday night) and both experiences were the exact same.

DEAD.....NooooooBODY was in that big ole club!Maybe 10 people and 8 of them work there (the other two were me and my bff).AND it was after midnight when we got there!!!!I asked one of the bouncers, Wheres the party? He said, We just opened. IT was 1230am!!!!! and they close at 2!!!!!!!!!Wasted my whole $10 AND my lipstick (for putting it on for no good reason)

1. Boring! Music was for an older crowd👴👵2. Downstairs wasnt open yet so everyone was sitting and standing IN THE WAY of the bar. 3. Staff was very rude and uppity... Worried about how they looked more than doing their job! 4.(part of 3) bartender ignored us to mingle with others and sing... We stayed all of 15 minutes

Came to Club ONE with my friend whos getting married and a group of bridesmaids. The owner went out of his way to accommodate us and the music was on point! I also really liked the decor and vibe!

It was really fun. Nice crowd. Good music. Danced all night. The only reason why it got four stars is because after the club, the security didnt let me go upstairs to use the bathroom.

C1 is a rip off, I went for CIAA, Forced to wait upstairs in a small lobby for hours. Got downstairs around 11 and show didnt start until 1:50 am and they close at 2 am. Thats not a concert! I will never support your establishment again.

The absolute worst experience and all I was doing was trying to contact someone to speak about an event I was interested in having there. I email about 4 times with no response. I text the number on the website and no response. I am like on surely Peter has better service than this so I call the number only to hear a recording given me another number. So I text that number and all I get for a response is We are not open that day unfortunately. Nothing more...didnt even offer any other options. I replied thank you and of course no response...so damn unprofessional and rude. Despite the reviews I was giving it a shot but clearly the reviews are correct. SMH!

Grand Opening was lit! An Experience.. amazing staff all around..clean setting..all type of beautiful vibes upstairs and down..will return again

Yo the dj was popping you had the lounge and the dance floor and it was on some grown and sexy feel....definitely had a ball and will be back

The club is nice and the dj was really good what i didnt like is that all the seating was for vip and in the middle of the dance floor😑 when we first got there we was told we couldnt go down stairs and had to wait til 10 oclock that would have been fine if we could actually sit in the lobby but all the seating was closed off empty never ever been to a club where you couldnt sit down at anytime unless you paid extra $for v.i.p😒 anywho.. dont think I will be going back 🛇

This club serves watered down liquor and is very unprofessional. I will pray for you Peter because your club attendants are not professional. Civil suit in the making...

Not impressed, it was damn near a lesbian club all females the club is nice size for a lounge but the bottom half was small but it is nicely decorated

Had the best night ever. Had a wonderful bartender named Aston. She makes the best drinks in charlotte.

Been to ClubOne 3 times & they were live on the radio talking about how popping it was & ppl flowing in.... this damn place was empty every time! Such a waste!
