This company is such a rip off. They neglect to tell you that when you sign up for a membership, you are committing to a full year, which you cannot get out of. Your monthly massage accrues if you do not use it, but only as long as you are a member. If you have to cancel an appointment, they charge you 50 percent. They do not allow you to use your credits to cover late fee. I have payed this company $300, and all I have to show for it is one very painful massage that left me in incredible pain for a week after. I have degenerative discs on my lower spine, and was hoping regular massage would ease my pain. Don’t give this company any of your money. Support a local small business instead.

I have been a member of Massage Envy since 2012. I have gotten massages in several different states and also some outside of Massage Envy. I suffer from headaches and have a pretty consistent dull pain in my neck. Today I saw Patrick and my mind is absolutely blown. I asked for a therapeutic massage and boy did he deliver. He also located a problem area in my neck that seems to always get overlooked. In 12 years of getting massages for muscle tension I haven’t ever fallen asleep. He provided some serious relief while somehow managing to make it relaxing as well. 10/10 recommend going to see Patrick. Although I’m slightly embarrassed because I can only imagine the worst probably snoring or something while I power napped, I will 100% be back to see Patrick!

About a year ago my 18 year old son past away. On that day my mom was doing something nice for and got me a gift card here. I booked a massage which was decent no complaints there. After the session I saw the front receptionist. She explained she could comp my massage and sign up for a membership. She explained I could “cancel anytime within reason”. So as there were a few other patrons behind me I felt pressured and say yea sure why not I can use a massage every month. I go in for my second appt about a month later. 3 days later I lose my job. So I’m in no way in a spot to be paying a monthly subscription. I reached called 3 times was hung up on. Sent a message never heard back. I went in to the branch to cancel in person. Same receptionist tells me oh I can’t do anything with the account you have to reach out to this email. I send an email and got a response from the manager sorry we can’t cancel you. You signed a six month contract. I don’t recall ever getting a contract I just went with what the front desk lady told me. Thanks for making the worst year of my life worse! My suggestion don’t sign up for a membership or maybe go with a different massage place.

Bought a gift card for my wife for Xmas. The place is sketchy at best. A massage school is a much better option. They care about their clients and they try. I have nothing but regret for putting my wife through that. She came home, sore and beat up and didnt feel good.The opposite of what a massage is supposed to be.Horrible experience For my wife, and we will never, ever go back there. And I encourage you to never book an appointment with this place. My wife tells me me that she had an awesome experience at the massage school and will continue to go there.

The massage therapist, Patrick, is the best massage therapist I have ever been seen by. I will say if you have any prior medical issues or injuries he is very knowledgeable about them and really knows exactly how to target the issue. I highly recommend this massage envy and this therapist.

I have been going to Patrick for over a year and would highly recommend him! I had what felt like tennis elbow recently that he carefully massaged out and now Im pain free with much better range of motion. He listens, asks questions, and I always leave feeling less stiff and relaxed.

The massage therapists are good but the policy is ridiculous. Canceled today because it snowed heavily. I called and left a message because no one answered. Not only did they not call back but they charge me 75 dollars for my missed appointment even though I have several monthly credits. A terrible policy

I am disappointed in myself for not canceling this membership long before this. Patrick is the only therapist worth what this place charges, and getting an appointment with him is near impossible. The management is awful, and my last straw was when I wanted to transfer credits that I HAVE ALREADY PAID for was met with a “you can only transfer one every 6 months.” I currently have 14 credits, wanted to take my daughter and sister-in-law for a massage today, and can only transfer one. I’m done. You would be far better off just paying at an actual massage place when you want or need a massage. I consider this one of the biggest financial mistakes I’ve ever made.

If I could leave less than 1 star I would. Receptionist badly needed to bathe...I could smell her across the counter.gross. my therapist, was Asian, not a problem. However when I was led to the room, it was cold clinical.no scent,no ambiance. Hurt me even though I kept asking for less pressure. Bad experience. Still have money on my gift card, wont use it.

Good services, good technicians, but not the most organized people in the world.I went in yesterday for an appointment (that I had scheduled a good month in advance), but come to find out, something had gone wrong and I was not on the schedule at all.Luckily, the receptionists were kind enough to get me in again, and they scheduled me for today! I had a wonderful massage. Cassie was very thorough and the sweetest human.However, with that comes another negative. I had scheduled myself a foot exfoliation, which the staff had given me for free as a result of yesterdays mishap. I was so grateful and looking forward to it, especially considering my tired student/dancer feet, but this treatment did not get on the schedule either! They are keeping it as a freebie for next time, which is nice (and savvy, wink nudge), but after this possible next visit I will very likely not be returning as a client.

Patrick has been amazing! He has helped to relieve muscle tension that has probably been there for years! Getting here has not been for the faint of heart. A deep tissue massage does not feel good while you are getting it - but the results are remarkable. I have been working to straighten my neck and head at Balance Chiropractic (another amazing business!) I had lived with chronic pain for probably 30 years, in spite of regular chiropractic. With Patricks help with my muscles and the specialized chiropractic adjustments at Balance Chiropractic, my head and neck are maintaining a vertical posture and I have stayed out of pain for about 2 months. (I have not needed an adjustment in a number of weeks) Patrick is probably the smartest and most scientific massage therapist I have ever seen - and I attribute a large share of my improved health to Patrick. Thank you!

The masseuse didnt get the two areas I asked because I had knots in them, but left me severely bruised on the base of my skull and spine as he did deep tissue(not what I had asked for). He pushed off of the wall for support to dig into my back with elbows. Three weeks later and I still have those knots and still bruised.

Corporate massage not for me. I love supporting small businesses and the therapist I usually go to were booked and I needed someone asap. I was recommended to go here since they seem to aways have availability so I made an appt. Sat down with a front desk staff gal with an iPad and went over my problem areas. You are then taken to a seperate waiting room ( felt like i was at the DMV) after several minutes my massage therapist came out. He called my name. But didnt say much else, I had to ask him okay so what do we do now, where do I go? He didnt bother explaining the process or asked if I been there before. I had to re explain my problem areas even though he had the iPad. I mentioned places I didnt want a massage , my trouble areas and he still massaged parts I just didnt want ( like my feet) he needs to work on techniques, I felt as if I didnt get any muscle movement just a brush to my skin. Absolutely rolled my eyes for the hour there, knowing I wasted time and money. I dont recommend. I feel this place will hire any massage therapist that dont seem to really dig deep into your needs as you would at a self employed LLC small business. Sorry not going back.

I planned a prenatal massage and facial at 34 weeks pregnant. I took the day off work. The morning of, they called to cancel and couldnt get me rescheduled so I will no longer be able to use my gift card from my husband before the baby arrives. I scheduled months in advance. When I decided to cancel my membership last week, Massage Envy Briargate confirmed they dont really care whether they lose clients who are unhappy with their experience here when no one (front desk staff or management) even asked why I was canceling after 15 years of membership! Getting an appointment when I want one has become almost impossible, there is frequent turnover of therapists, scheduled appointments are cancelled by Massage Envy with little/no notice (I had 3 appointments in a row cancelled recently) and the final straw was when I requested slightly less pressure on my head/neck area & the therapist said she wouldnt be able to do that because it wasnt her modality!!

Pay for a 60min massage that will actually go for less than 50 mins. Walked into my room at 12:30 and was well and truly done by 1:20. Will not be returning. Doesn’t feel personal at all. The entire massage just felt like another job being done. There are far better places to go in Colorado Springs - places that will actually value your time and money.

Hard to book massages here which is why I give them 4 stars. Some therapist do an awesome job but I have had a couple that were horrible. I found a few individuals that if I can, I try to book with them but thats almost impossible with the extremely limited possibilities for booking a massage. If you dont care about regular massages its worth a massage ( I mean, that is if you can get in) but if you want or need regular service visits, well this might not be the place for you. I have so many monthly credits built up that I cant use when I need them. However, the facility is clean and the front office is friendly. In my opinion, they either need to restrict the number of members they have or hire more staff to handle the work load.

I don’t often write reviews, but Patrick is truly an exceptionally knowledgeable and skilled massage therapist that I highly recommend to anyone suffering from chronic muscle spasms and/or nerve pains. I live in NYC and get routine massages to help alleviate pain caused by a herniated disc, and was having a really bad muscle spasm in my neck/shoulders after traveling to Colorado Springs. I decided to book an appt at this Massage Envy to get some relief and the receptionist recommended Patrick for my session because he specializes in nerve pain. After my 1st 60-min session with Patrick I can honestly say I felt more immediate and long lasting pain relief than I’ve ever experienced from any massages back home. He communicated to ensure I was comfortable and worked carefully around my neck to avoid aggravating my injury. 3 days later I still haven’t had another spasm (yet), which is rare for me. I’m very aware my chronic pain can’t be cured by massages alone, but this 1 session with Patrick gave me more effective results than I’ve ever experienced before. I’ll definitely schedule another session with him before I fly back home, and may even travel to Colorado more often if I can’t find another therapist that delivers even half the results that Patrick did.

Avoid at all costs! I signed up for a membership prior to Covid 19 and had few complaints. The massages we’re decent and you could normally find an appointment within a reasonable time. Then Covid hit, they shut down(understandably) and I was charged monthly fees with credits for massages. The issue came after restrictions were lifted. I had 16 massages or so, and could never find an opening. They are normally booked out 1 month in advance with intermittent spots in random times, which doesn’t always fit with my work schedule. Given that my credits added up to around $1000, I emailed them for options and essentially there were no options for reimbursement. There was no way I would be able to use 16 credits that built up during Covid and couldn’t keep getting charged monthly and adding to those credits, so I cancelled and lost $1000. Great gift to someone that had to work in healthcare during all this. The massages also went downhill after re opening. I recommend looking elsewhere for massages, especially if you’re looking to buy into their membership.

I have had issues for years with muscle tightness that affects my ability to do my job. I am continually looking for a massage therapist that takes more of a therapeutic approach. My most recent issue was tendonitis in my elbow and arm. Patrick is incredible and uses a technique that has given me amazing results! He is patient and very interested in working on areas that need attention and he genuinely cares about my concerns. I am so grateful for his expertise!

The worst customer care! I’ve now been yelled at over for the phone by the representatives at this location at least 2 times. I’ve had appointments cancelled for 3 months in a row on the day of the appointment with no responsibility by the management. I genuinely feel like I’m begging to get the multiple services that I’ve already paid for at this point.Go to the first and main location if youd like to be treated like a respected human. They are incredible!

I have been going to Massage Envy in various states for 10 years but recently in Colorado Springs, I found Patrick! Patrick is more than just a massage therapist, he is great at fixing those issues that no one else has been able to fix! I have been having an issue with a rib going out repeatedly for over 8 months and Patrick figured out it was attached to my shoulder and after working on the shoulder only 2 times it hasnt gone out again! He also worked on my heel pain that just started! Cant wait to see what else he can do for all my aches and pains!

Tried to schedule a massage. They called me and told me what I booked was already taken, and had me reschedule. Girl acted like it was inconvenient for HER to reach out to me. Sent me a text to confirm my appt the day before, then texted me cancelling my appt 3 hours before it started. Unprofessional, unorganized, careless. If I can’t trust them to do something as easy as book keeping, I’m not trusting them to touch my body. Every reply to complaints is the same automated email to complain to their other website. Im so done with this company. My wife and I have been members for YEARS. During the pandemic we kept paying even though we couldnt get in due to the restrictions but we wanted to support the therapists. And now, they are so overbooked that you can never get in and we have a combined total of over 15 massages they owe us and yet I cant get in but once every 3-4 months! That means that by 12 months Ill have used 3 or maybe 4 credits and earned another 8 more! That means Im paying like 4x the amount that the massages are worth! I have threatened legal action against them unless they pay us back and credit us for the unused hours. Its ridiculous and their management is doing nothing so Im going to post in every possible social media platform until they decide to do something... or my lawyer will get involved. (Note: I am the CEO of a company and I do have a business lawyer ready to act lol, this is not just a threat)Im sure Im not the only one having this frustration and I encourage all of you to post on Twittter and Facebook and Insta about the issue until the company takes notice and either increases massage staff to account for their overbooking of memberships or cancels and refunds enough people that they can actually service their customers!

Im writing this review because Patrick is the ultimate professional and he knows his craft. He has been able to help my back and hips and kept me doing the activities I enjoy all summer. I have been a member of Massage Envy Briargate for several years. Patrick is the best therapist to work on my back. I ask questions on what he is doing and he is always ready with an explanation and suggestions for protecting my body so I can continue to participate in sports I love and lead an active life. He makes a clients modesty and comfort a priority. He also is the therapist of choice for my older relative who suffers from neuropathy. One session he also relieved her discomfort from a trigger finger. I highly recommend Patrick as a professional and skilled therapist.

Massage Envy NEVER has appointment times. They are booked at least 1.5 months in advance and there are no solutions from management except freeze or cancel your membership. I’ve got half a years worth of of services in my account that will never be used for a massage. What a bummer. Save your time and money and go to somewhere that can guarantee that you get an appointment.

I signed up for the membership in September 2021. Ive only been able to go there twice in 7 months. The membership includes 1 massage a month or you can roll it over as a credit. Everytime I would try to schedule they never had openings but i wasnt too concerned because they would roll over so i could use them another time. When I finally got scheduled in March I had the front desk schedule me out for 4 more appointments. Well 2 of those were scheduled in another state. I found out because I showed up to my April appointment and they told me I was scheduled in that different state. Its been one stressful thing after another. When I try asking for managers phone numbers they wont give it to me. They just say they are the manager. I asked to get out of the contract and they said no. In the meantime they are taking my money every month and I cant seem to ever get anyone willing to help me or work with me or anything. I just wanted a relaxing treatment for myself, but this has turned out to be the worst experience. Lesson learned for me I guess, but I will never recommend this place to anyone.

Oh boy, lots to say here.First off: I kept my subscription for these guys during covid out of good faith, hoping that they could stay afloat and I could use my banked massages one day. No such luck haha, they made it impossible. Read on.- Wait times to schedule massages are close to a month if not more than a month, which sorta makes paying for monthly massages difficult. Who can make multiple massage appointments and reliably keep them over a month out regularly?- During Covid, they increased the price of the monthly fee TWICE. Neither time did they inform me. I went from paying 55 a month to 70 without being notified.- Maintaining your access to the hours you paid for is a manipulation tactic to keep you subscribed to their services. If you stop paying them, you have 2 months to use all your banked hours. Have fun pulling that off when you have to wait a month+ for a single massage!- If you try to cancel your subscription, theyll insist you fill out a form. They send you a PDF to do this. So youll have to print it out, wet sign it, and scan it in to email back... except not: They let you just type in the fields over google docs and thats good enough, apparently. So whats the point in having the form to fill out at all if there isnt any signature? Just another step to complicate NOT paying these scam artists any more money.- When I requested to cancel my subscription, they didnt even ask why. They were terse/rude on the phone about it as well, and even when I told them why I was leaving without prompting, it wasnt even acknowledged as a thing I said, as if it went in one ear and right out the other.These guys are con artists. Their business is a scam. Take the risk and go to a hole in the wall massage parlor over this nonsense.

This location has a few good massage therapists, but I feel that is its only redeeming quality. My issue is with the companies business model. I was talked into signing up for a membership even though I spend more than half of the year on the road because I was told that I could quit whenever I wanted, or put my account on hold should I not have the chance to use it for a while. They made it sound so simple, easy, and convenient to do, but read the fine print! I was locked into a year long contract, and only had the option to quit after that year had elapsed. Here’s my problem now, and I consider it a big one. As expected, I’m not able to go in for a massage very often, and since I wasn’t allowed to quit until after 12 months I ended up getting charged $60 a month until I had over 12 services saved up (15 now, which is a total of $900 that I have paid). What are my options now? I can quit, in which case I will have 60 days to use up $900 worth of massages, after which point they simply steal your remaining balance from you. I don’t like that option. I can freeze my account so that they will stop charging me every month, but that would mean I won’t be able to use any of the services that I HAVE ALREADY PAID FOR! I don’t like that option either. Another option is to keep my account active and hope that by some miracle I am able to start using services at a rate that is faster than the rate at which they are charging me. Considering that every time I try to make an appointment the app tells me “Your best therapist matches have no availability on the selected day. Please choose another day” for every single consecutive date I pick going a couple of weeks into the future, I don’t see that happening. Lastly, I could gift the services to someone else so that at least someone would get the benefit, but guess what? I would have to pay a transfer fee so that someone else could use the $900 worth of services that I have again ALREADY PAID FOR. This company has cleverly crafted their memberships to trap people into cycles like this and I find it appalling. I genuinely don’t know what to do, but I am seriously considering cancelling my membership and letting them STEAL hundreds and hundreds of dollars from me simply so that I can at least stop the hemorrhaging of money from my account. I honestly don’t know what else to do. If you are considering a membership (and I strongly advise against it) READ THE FINE PRINT so that you know exactly what you are getting yourself into. I went into this thinking it would be a healthy and relaxing thing for me, but instead all it has done is put a huge knot in my stomach.

My mom got me a Massage Envy gift certificate as a birthday gift, so I decided to try something that Id never had an opportunity [or the money] to try before. I ended up getting a Microderm Infusion by Janine & it was an amazing experience! She made sure to explain everything to me & gave me a lot of helpful tips to incorporate into my skincare routine at home based on my own personal skincare needs. When I initially tried to book my appt on the app, there were no available appts for 2 months out. My advice would be to check for new openings periodically over the next couple days because someone may cancel at the last minute. I was able to cancel my September appt & reschedule it for the very next day by doing so!

I made an appointment yesterday for today at 3:00 pm and drove there for 20+ minutes just to find out from Dusty (The manager) that my appointment had been cancelled. Dusty stated that they tried to reach out to me earlier in the morning and when I was on my way there. I showed her my phone and told her that no one called me earlier in the morning or left a message. The only missed call from them was at 2:27 pm when I was driving there and I don’t take phone calls when I am driving. So annoying and very poor customer service!!!! Dusty reserved me an appointment at 5:00 instead!! Really??? Wait two more hours?? As this was not already an inconvenience? She also stated that she can provide an enhancement for the next time I make an appointment.... Really??? A $5 eye treatment, feet scrub, aromatherapy, etc... Ridiculous!!! I reviewed other comments from the past and it seems like the owner needs to work on their front desk staff/managers.This review was from Daniel another dissatisfied customer. “They seem to cancel you appointments regularly for various reasons, if you booked 1 day, or 3 months ahead, front desk seems very temporary and GREEN. I have the monthly membership and love it! My massage therapist that treats me is Patrick and he has alleviated my lower back pain / issues, broken through the adhesions in my hamstring from a surgery that was over 20 years ago and treated my big toe that had severe trauma from two years ago. My toe nail was growing in ridge and thick prior to treatment and now it is normal. Very thankful for Patrick’s knowledge to treat injuries and reduce pain.

I’ve been seeing Patrick for treatment work for the past 7 months. When I first started, I was having at least a migraine a week. I started out with as much as an appointment a week and now I’m down to about one appointment a month for maintenance.Patrick’s techniques to have helped get rid of most of my tension related migraines, and it’s been months since I have had to take my prescription medicine! I cannot recommend Patrick enough for pain management and treatment work!!

This was my first massage in five years and only my second one in my life. I must say Andrew was awesome!! He has so much knowledge about what he does and has a lot of passionate in his job. They are continuing to charge me for services although I have signed and returned a cancellation form and explicitIy stated I was moving out of the country. I signed up for a six month subscription last June. I found in January they had charged my card again, so I asked why and was informed I had been rolled into a month-to-month plan. They would not give me a refund for it, so I ended up using the massage, but I signed a cancellation form in January and returned it to them. I was charged again for the following month and have been unable to get in contact with anyone there to correct the issue or receive a refund. Aside from that, it was difficult to get ahold of them by phone or to get an appointment before 7pm in the evening.

Worst place to keep your appointment, they cancel your appointment at the last minute with no compensation, but let you miss an appointment and they take your money/credit immediately!!! I had my appointment canceled 2 hrs before my appointment time and when I called the lady answering the phone talked to me like I was the problem. My wife had $300 in coupon gifts and went for a single massage ($75) and was told in order to carry over the remainder of the coupons she has to sign a membership contract. She was told she can come in to cash out the remaining coupon money for additional massages. When calling in 4 month later to schedule a massage we were informed the contract was a 3 month contract and has expired and she can kiss the rest of the coupon good-bye. No bending the rules or honoring for the miscommunication she was given!Will never go to these crooks again and hopefully others will follow suit!

I had a membership during my pregnancy Which expired in December 2017. My last massage was scheduled dec 10 however on the 9th I cancelled the appointment because I was in labor. After my delivery I had to wait 6 weeks before getting a massage. Today when I returned to the store to schedule my massage, I was denied because they informed me it expired dec 29. I explained to them I was in no medical condition to get a massage and recently gave birth as to why I could not get my massage sooner. They denied my request to use my massage that I paid for. This is a store that was closed for 2 months during my membership and I did not complain because I thought I would be able to use my banked massages when they opened back up. Mike is professional, thorough, with excellent communication skills. His talent and experience becomes apparent immediately as everything he does is intentional and effective--no random, light, absent-minded lotion application with this one! Pressure was perfect, deeper pressure was where needed and indicated. As a picky massage therapist myself, I can say Mike will be my regular go-to person for aches & pains! Also, the facility itself is clean, nice, staff in general congenial and professional. Definitely good value overall.

Patrick is absolutely phenomenal and has been working wonders on a very focused problem with my neck that has been decades in the making. I have been unable to find anyone able to spend the time and focus needed to undo all of this damage and his technique, along with great questions and empathy are exceptional!

The meat mill of massage places. No one to one client interaction. They didn’t seem to care about your pain, the kind of pressure you want, etc. You’re just another body to massage and get out the door real quick. They also really try to push their membership on you. You can opt to avoid the membership fee, but then they charge an arm and a leg for the 1 hour massage and they hassle you to buy it.

I highly recommend Patrick at Massage Envy- Briargate. He specializes in very specific areas that have been life-long problems for me. He has helped me so much with alleviating the pain I was having. He is so good, he is the whole reason I signed up for a membership. That says so much!

I scheduled a session with a guy named Patrick who turned out to be a character straight out of Avatar: The Last Airbender. He is a guru who through centuries of meditation has become the worlds first musclebender! Very impressive considering hes probably in his late 20s. Seriously, he has honed his craft to the point where he is on the fringe of new techniques being discovered in therapeutic massage. He massaged the tendons and ligaments around my knee and significantly reduced my knee pain and popping. Had no idea when I booked him that he would be able to help with joint pain! Only problem now is that I moved...

Anytime I need a massage, this Massage Envy is the only place I trust. The downside is the high price, but they often have deals if you sign up for their email list. Also one of the women who worked with me last time had terrible breath.

I received a massage from Danielle, LMT at this location. I felt very relaxed and she has positive energy. If you are stressed, need to relax and clear your mind, I highly recommend Danielle. The atmosphere in addition to her energy creates a serene experience.

So my friend booked me an appointment as a favor to me. First time getting a message but they ask you to fill out a survey about your health. I did and unfortunately I do have cancer. By time it came for me to get the message the front desk tells me that the person Im booked for was uncomfortable I told them it was brain cancer I didnt ask her to even touch my head!!!! Just annoying very rude as if I chose to get cancer or if Im contagiousNever again!

I’m really big on communication and being able to get ahold of someone from a “professional” business. It’s really irritating when I call and no one answers, so I have to call 5 more times, hoping someone does. This happens every time I call this place. I want to be understanding that maybe they are super busy or something, but I can’t. Maybe I’m expecting too much of other people based off my own capable skills. I am a long-time member and enjoy my time here, but am leaving this review because I’m tired of not being able to get ahold of someone. This is the result of a common occurrence over the past two years. I’ll just get a generic reply from owner that makes it look like they care to others reading my review, but nothing will change.
