3 story bar/dance hall. First floor is dancing, second floor is bars, third floor is rooftop, kareoke, and bull riding.Youre going to get a lot of downtown foot traffic coming in and lots of tourists...so the vibes will vary every night.Wednesday: $10 all you can drink 7pm-12, but no drinks allowed on the first floor at all. So when you want to dance, you have to abandon your drink. 18+ on Wednesdays. They do about 30-40 min of partner dancing, then a few line dancing songs. They play more hip hop after 10:30pm. By then the place is pretty packed.Sunday Dance Lessons: 2nd and 3rd Sunday afternoons. Free. Place is overrun with kids... Tots and teens.. Feels like a daycare. The teacher is excellent!!! But the dances are not the popular ones you hear clubs playing and actually want to learn. The dances were too simple and with songs Id never heard.Overall an ok place, but I prefer more line dancing.
Ive been here on Saturday night, Friday night, Sunday afternoon, feel like maybe a Thursday as well. I enjoy coming on Sunday afternoons and doing the free line dance lessons. Barb is a good instructor and she has four helpers usually so wherever you stand theres somebody to watch. I also enjoy that they give you half an hour of practice after the lesson and one of the instructors will usually stand there and help go through the dances with you.I do not care for last Friday line dance party because it claims to be from 6:00 to 8:00 but I was there and it wasnt until almost 7:30 that they started playing line dance music. when I asked why they werent playing line dance music if this was a line dance party the response was that enough people werent there to practice. that isnt my fault. You invite me to come to line dance practice, then have line dance practice. So that was a big turn off to me.on Saturday nights The Good Dans music doesnt really start until around 9:30 or 10:00 when all the 27 things get there. its great if youre 20 something. If youre not, its difficult to find a spot on the floor, and youre pretty much Ron over by scantily Clyde children enjoying themselves. nothing against that, just saying if youre not in your twenties or early 30s its probably not the place for you on a Saturday night. unless, you go upstairs. upstairs is pretty cool. They have karaoke and pool, a variety of other stuff.overall the place is pretty cool but caters mostly to the young. good for them!
Cowboys is a bigger event saloon downtown Colorado Springs. Came here on a Wednesday night, paid $10 and got the whole night drinks for free. It was a good atmosphere. Fun people on all floors. Bars tenders were ok, the lines were there but I never had to wait longer than 3 minutes to receive my drink. One drink at a time. The karaoke and bull riding is hilarious. I had so much fun! Billiard is $1.50 per game. Had several games all night. There are different tables all over the place. Much room and you’ll find your corner. The dancing area is clean and the staff is motivational and getting people on the floor. Music is funny. All tables and seats were clean. I think it was fun, although I’m not a party person. Lol
Traveling the United States of America 🇺🇸 I have danced in many Country bars / Honkeytonks.Cowboys in Colorado Springs for me is worth the 1 hour drive. The atmosphere there is always welcoming & respectful. The 3 levels each have their own personality that make up the always memorable experiences that I have at CowboysI was honored to meet Tim ( General Manager)He told me of the very rich history behind Cowboys of more than 35 years. Many great stories were shared in just a few moments of Tims time...all the while he was watching the front door, & greeting long standing customers as they were lifelong friends.I can see why Cowboys has such a welcoming environment. It truly starts at the top.Thank you for your time Tim!Thank you for always being a great place to come dance Cowboys !!Lars
Music is just nothing but line dances, they rarely ever swing dance music just a butt load of line dances. the railing on the side of the dance floor for some reason does not have a catcher or just something to make sure the drinks don’t slide off, happened to 3 of my friends because of people bumping into the wall. service was great just not a great place
I have never been so disrespected trying to walk into an establishment before. For a bouncer to audibly make fun of someones ID picture it is unprofessional and condescending. My ID was scanned and it clearly said that I was well over 21, and the bouncer still decided to harass me for my photo. As a woman, I was incredibly embarrassed. The photo is from when I was 21, and I am clearly not anymore ( Id prefer not to be reminded of this). Please teach your employees even the slightest bit of decency. We came to celebrate my sister, and we left feeling disappointed and dissatisfied.
Was shocked when a man snuck up and degraded us while we sat at the railing. He claimed to own the place, which we found out was untrue. Called us children because we accidentally took a drink on the dancefloor (we quickly obliged and apologized). He was incredibly hostile and there was no need to yell and threaten an otherwise well-behaved group of girls. Was very excited to visit this bar but sad we felt the need to leave immediately, as we wouldve spent a lot more money there. Thank you Barb for amending the situation and teaching us a few dances- would give just Barb 5 stars!
Since my previous review was deleted….If I could give this place a zero star review, I would. Came to CO for my bachelorette party and specifically made plans around going to Cowboys. Upon arrival, the bar was completely empty except for maybe two other couples. We were immediately degraded and called children for going out onto the dance floor to line dance? Considering it’s a line dancing bar, this seems counterintuitive?? Tim, who claimed he was the owner (he is not), harassed us and belittled us the whole time we were there. I can’t even put into words how truly terrible we were treated at this bar.
Its always a good time here. Not too many good experiences with the bartenders, though. They seemed pretty inept when it came to making mixed drinks.
Im sure its great and all, but the bull doesnt start until 9:00 p.m. Since we had other places to be, we didnt get to check it out.
Came here on Wednesday for 18+ nights, the lady giving out the wristbands and the lady charging the $10 fee were very rude. The lady also giving back the IDS was rude as well.
People are dope, giant dance hall never have an issue with anyone here. Fried mushrooms definitely a plus. Having 3 floors plenty activities to do.
Had a bouncer put Xs on both of my hands because I had an attitude. You cant deny someone to drink just because you dont like them. Also followed me into the bathroom and screamed at me. Usually bring 10-15 people here every other weekend but wont be coming back, any of us. The whole thing was very offputting
There’s a bartender here with no chin and terrible highlights, wears glasses sometimes that is a noooo go. Go to any other bartender and tip well EXCEPT HER. I have never been treated so poorly by someone in the service industry who is working for tips, and I work in the service industry. She went out of her way to make it as hard as possible to order drinks and skipped over us in the process. Of course we want drinks so we HAD to order with her 0/10 left her no tip for her attitude.
The DJs are incredibly rude and don’t take requests… they refuse to play any new line dances and continue to play the SAME music every week. It often takes 15 min+ to wait in line just to get water from the bars and they fill your cup up all the way with ice, with barely any water. They just raised their prices on all the drinks and food which is not worth it in my opinion. Go to whiskey baron instead!
We have a good time here most of the time, the lines are long to get to the bar, if you want to get onto the patio you are gonna reek like cigarettes, but the rooftop is not so bad. Drinks are not bad if you come on one of their special nights, but count on being crowded. We do not come here often but, the karaoke is always awesome!
Looking for a fun night in downtown Colorado Springs, I recommend stopping here! There are 3 levels, and all have a bar. The main bottom level has 2 full bars and the dance floor, the second level has 2 full bars, seating to watch dancing, pool tables, darts, and an outside patio, the third floor has 1 full bar, karaoke, pool, seating, bull ride, and outside patio. The dancing here is country like 2 step and line dances, they do play some non country songs but the majority is country. Dont ask the DJ for song requests, he doesnt take them.My friends and I love coming here to dance and sing karaoke, its ok if you dont know the line dances most you can try and follow (there are alot of regulars who know all the dances). The karaoke you have to sign up and they have a list of sings available, depending on the night it could be a long wait and of you miss your name being said you get skipped. The bull riding is a blast, you pay for it at the bar and sign the waiver there, too, then get in line to ride. They do last call at 1am for the bar and start closing the 3rd floor. By 1:30am, they are turning on the lights and closing down the 2nd floor. Online, it says Cowboys closes at 2am, but its really 1:30am. They also provide a coat check for $1, if your leaving at 1:30am, you will wait in line to get your coats. There arnt alot of dancing bars downtown, im happy to have this place and recommend it for your next night out.
Respectfully,1. Im a licensed Denver security guard, yall need to better train your security staff. Some guy tried to grab me the other night and security removed him, but didnt remove his friends who were also part of the problem. Lets just say I left the bar crying. 2. 3rd floor karaoke. Fire that chick and get a new person to run the soundboard. Why? My sister and I wanted to sing rearview town, I stoll at the desk for 10 minutes while this girl was on her phone. I kept doing everything to get her attention and when she finally looked up at me she told me I needed to stand infront of the computer to put in my request, she was really rude, kept singing over people while they were performing and just iverall acted like a 3 year old brat. My sister and I finally went up. She had my mic off for the first 30 second of the song, my sisters was on, we were doing a melody harmony duet, and the girl had the audacity to scream through her mic at the test to start singing. I pointed to my mic and and gave her the universal sound tech signal to raise my volume. Her face was red.3. 1.50 for a game of pool. Tables need to be realigned, fixed, new pool sticks and honestly I had to pick up one end of a table to get my que ball to roll down to the slot because it got stuck. 4. 26 dollars for 2 (well) tequila shots. Self explanatory.5. Hire the proper licensed staff to keep your property and everyone in it safe. Because your security honestly have the worst attitudes, very unhelpful and honestly if they are licensed, Id revoke them right away. Either fire them or put them through actual training.Long story short. Will not. Be coming back. Been here one time. And honestly Id never come back, Id never recommend this place to anyone, Id never recommend anyone get a job here either, and I hope you guys realize that its all your staff who are the problems.
Ask bouncer how his night was. Apparently being kind is a reason to deny you because I got sent back and not allowed entrance. Will not go here again! Shouldve just handed my ID and kept my mouth shut.
Someone threw up on me and they kicked me out. Would not recommend. Tried to explain the situation and was shoved into the ground. Would not visit again
The men that work here need a reality check! Very angry! If you want to have fun, don’t come here! It’s not allowed!
This is probably one of the coolest line dancing bars Ive been to. The only complaint I really have is the drinks being overly priced for what you are getting.
Went with a friend who is in a wheelchair and was denied entry by the bouncer because of their disability. Bouncer threatened us with off duty police officers who would handle our group.
Mediocre at best... Bartenders are really the only thing what make it even worth it (and I dont drink), Personable and awesome... they have one DJ that actually knows good dance songs the other just plays random country songs and plays like 8 line dances in a row... I miss the old cowboys bigger and multiple dance floors. Karaoke is decent. But only place with a decent dance floor which I wish they would take a bit more care. But if youre a dancer the drunken buffoonery kicks in around 11:30.
This is a decent place to spend a night out. Its popularity keeps it alive, the service does not. Went to see the High Valley / Chute 9 concert. The bar had a moderate crowd. The bands were amazing as they usually are here. They are able to attract some big country music stars. The biggest issue with this place is that their service has taken a nose dive since I started going here a few years ago. The bar staff seems burnt out and inattentive. They do not move at a speed to keep up with the amount of people that come to the multiple bars in the place. We got some food here as well which was good, but again very poor service. The server that took the order couldnt really be heard and then told us the food would be out in 15 minutes. It took 45 minutes before food was brought out and was only mediocre bar food. Again this was moderate crowd which should have been easier for the staff to handle and they did a terrible job overall tonight.
I did not even know they actually had food. We do a small birthday party there and actually some of the customers wandered over and snacked off our table. We went to the bar for service because they were very short staffed. Its a fun place to go. Just eat before you go wear your boots. Youll have a good time. A very local place to go. We had a great time.
The lady at the front in the big straw cowboy hat was incredibly rude to us. She made it clear that it was 21 and over tonight even though we had a full wedding party there already. We understand her following orders but her rudeness was completely uncalled for. When telling her we we were with the party and underage she replied “tough shit”. Another employee was very helpful and kind to us. If y’all have any standards you will let this woman go. Unbelievably rude.
Ill be honest 1.50 for a game of pool and 5 for 15 mins of ping pong is ridiculous when all the tables are warped and they dont even get nice paddles, make enough in one night to get actually paddles for sure....kind of a rip off
Best bar EVER !!!!! Loved the dancing, karaoke, and free soft drinks
The security guards were very aggressive with my friends for no apparent reason. A very scary experience would not recommend this bar
Dont come to this place on weds if youre an adult. Its a shame there is such a great dance floor and they put the grown ups upstairs away from the dance floor and near the smoking section. Its the only place for adults to go out mid week and they make it easy for the kids who dont spend money. What a waste of a nice venue.
Great time, I just wish I knew where Karaoke was when I first walked in.
Fact: All the very talented and best dancers (in Colorado) have been and continue to go to Cowboys. Fact: The most beautiful women (in Colorado) have been or continue to go to Cowboys. Fact: People that love and appreciate good country music by talented d.j.s, The most great and fun bartenders and Super Great food, have been and continue to go to Cowboys. If you havent been to Cowboys lately, then you dont really live in Colorado and know your facts.
Went out for our anniversary and it was a great experience. They served pretty good drinks, and overall we had a wonderful time. We realized my husband left his phone though the next morning and thankfully it was still here and the staff was wonderful in helping us get it back.
Eh. I started learning to dance about a year ago. The fact they STILL play the same music repeatedly is mind blowing…half of the “linedances” aren’t even country music. Seriously, play other songs besides, Shivers, Wolf, High Class etc. This is a COUNTRY bar…the DJ always find lame reasons for not playing songs that you request…Also, attending dance classes here is a joke…they don’t even play the songs that they teach. You need a new DJ…There are plenty of country songs out there with NEW dances. This place is so boring…Also, why is it such a hassle to ask for some water after dancing a ton? Hydration is key and replenishes. We shouldn’t receive rudeness when asking for a cup of water…that’s just silly.
Even if it’s not your style or type of place, it’s worth visiting and hanging around! Good people all around and respectful crowd, good staff and fun atmosphere. Bottom line leave your pretentiousnesses at the door and have fun! Oh finger food is good too, so bring in your appetite. Management should leave a tip jar in the food pickup area for the hard working kitchen folks is my only recommendation! :) Imagine how many hangovers have been saved because of them!
I was very eager to try this restaurant out and I thought the food was amazing. The service and atmosphere was also amazing and exceeded my expectations. Will definitely going back!
I have been here literally hundreds of times over the past decade. If you love to line dance or two-step, this is the place to be in the Springs. Copperhead is fine, but its mostly Army dudes trying to pull. If you hang out for a while and see whos dancing, ask someone who you see with multiple partners. This isnt just a haunt for the younger crowd. There are people in their 30s, 40s, heck, their 70s cutting a rug. I learned to dance here, starting with 16+ nights as a teen, and I look back on dancing with a hundred different partners fondly. To shift, the staff is rude. The DJ once made fun of me for going alone. Again, Ive been many, many times, and I have had three positive experiences with the staff. In sum, if youre a dancer, you must go. This place is huge, has karaoke and a large floor, has food and great drink specials, and is an excellent place to meet people. This in contrast to Copperhead, where people arent as outgoing unless theyre trying to take you home. Have fun!
Was a fun night out full of dancing and drinking. The staff paid close attention to customers and were really welcoming. Downside is that it’s a bit dirty and had a bad smell in a few places. The drinks weren’t great or strong but is as expected for something downtown. Loved how quick the getting in process was. Music was also very good.
In all my 8 years of living in this town, I have never been treated in the following manner.Decided to visit last night to celebrate my birthday, was served 2 drinks. Both doubles, top shelf tequila . Came back from dancing one song & my glass was taken off the bar with a full shot left. I bring it up to the manager and he decides its appropriate to go check with one of his bartenders, as if she was the only tender behind the bar all night. After he comes back & tells me that she served me over an hour prior, he then proceeds to tell me I have an attitude & that Im being ejected, when I was merely trying to talk to him over the loud music. Hmm, thats super interesting, considering I deal with conflict resolution and de-escalation on a daily basis. And Id say if anyone had a bad attitude at that moment, it certainly was not me.Completely unprofessional behavior, will not be recommending this establishment & certainly wont be returning.
Great place. Great music. Great rules and regulations. FantasyI appreciate how they don’t let people clog up the dance floor, if they aren’t dancing. It’s hard to dance here if you don’t “step dance” you kind of need to know how to dance. The versatility is great. Idk you’d go there to hear bad karaoke and play pool on two tables, but it’s fun!! A lot of military.
Cowboys has always been a great establishment to visit. The atmosphere is great, drinks were awesome, and the dancing was fun. Good job guys.
I do love country music and love two-stepping and line dancing. The owner is amazing as well. However, after asking the new DJ to play a song 3 times, he demanded tips and insisted he hated that song (therefore not desiring to play the song). This has happened a few weeks in a row already with the same DJ. Recommend playing songs that are requested by your customers.
Recomended to use CASH ONLY. If you are looking for a GUILT free fun time?! This ISNT the place. Untrustworthy bartenders which is a RED FLAG ALERT: Id definitely ask for a customer copy something depicting totsl charges processed. Experience showed me that a bartender commited acted in a Fruadualit nsture. Altering receipt to reflect an %75 tip on two beer tab is beyond dishonest, its just plain desperate.... i mean come on Im Chicago native never seen anything as low as that. That being said the layout if the bar is spot on. The bar is Broken into two levels. The vibe threw and threw is country. Down stairs a well constructed dance atea. To twirl around and do idk cioutry dance moves? There plenty of space to dance is what im saying. There is also a coat check and a bar big positive in the colder days cute and comfortable. Upstairs emulates dive bar with pool tabels and darts with chill people it does also have just then microscopic dash off class as well which is a plus.Full disclosure not a country fan: this place has the flow but lacks the flavor. -4 rating curently supported above. All shade aside correcting issue with bartender aside this place a solid ***. More live bands on Saturdays, solid bartenders this place could be a hot topic just bring cash.
Great place to get a drink & dance the dust off your boots
So I absolutely love this place, it’s one of the few places around here for me to actually enjoy myself! I have no real complaints! Now I do think it would be nice to see another 18 an older night than just on Wednesdays but, so be it. Also reading some of these reviews makes me wish I could respond to some of them because some of y’all are actual baby’s!! Like y’all need to get a life… But again absolutely love this establishment!!
The bartender here was soooo sweet!Went with some friends for my birthday and had so much fun! We had a checklist of things to get done before we left the bar and definitely got them checked off. Singing on stage and dancing on the bar made my night!! And a free shot for my birthday! I absolutely love this country bar❤️
My friends and I have a ton of fun here all the time. My only gripe is that you guys need to make water more accessible.Every time we want water we gotta stand in line for 20 minutes only to get the tiniest cup of water thats 90% ice.
What a great place to hang out and have some fun dancing!! Its a young crowd mostly, so my daughter loved it!! It wasnt expensive at all. $20.00 for both of us and that was free drinks till midnight!! No wonder it was packed on a Wednesday.
Its tons of fun on Thursday - Sunday
My coworkers came here Wednesday night for karaoke and $10 all you can drink. The next morning 1 of them looked like they didnt sleep at all and the other 1 had an upset stomach for a whole day.
I truly enjoy going to cowboys to dance. If you get there before 9 you don’t have to pay cover. Friday nights they have a great drink special from 9-12 only $10 (in cash) for either a liquor or a beer wristband for unlimited drinks. They also have good food that is affordable on Friday before 8 you can get a burger and fries for only $2. There is a large dance floor on the first floor. Second floor has multiple bars and pool tables. Third floor has a mechanical bull and karaoke.
My daughters experience wasnt that great. Firstly, why the lady was so rude and snotty to my daughters bf telling him they gonna make him take his bracelet off? That bracelet wasnt gonna get taken off because she just gave him that for Christmas. It just kind of set the bar on the experience they had at your establishment. They drove in from Washington to be here and I recommended they go check out your place. Never again will I recommend yall to anyone! They said it wasnt that great because of that first impression. Yall do well to remember to out someone at the door that isnt snotty so people can enjoy themselves once they enter....first impressions are everything!! Btw yall have way overpriced drinks js. Yall used to be so much fun....dont know what happened but yea reign in the person at the door and remind them to make good first impressions especially to out of town guests!!! Plus dont tell folks they gotta remove their jewelry.. i mean I get the whole paper bracelet thing but yall can work around it, the hospital does....so I know yall can too. They may not visit your establishment again and also remember word of mouth is everything to a business. So they may tell their friends about their experience when they get home and their friends would potentially vacay here and that is lost potential future business guys, smh.
I usually come and have a FANTASTIC time when Shawn is doing music! I’m out burning calories on the floor. I felt like I spent more time sitting down tonight than anything. If you come MAKE SURE you’ve got the right DJ. Please keep Shawn M as your DJ on Friday and Saturday!Side note Bartenders deserve some fantastic tips! I watched some of them handle some big orders back to back with some great accuracy!
We had no idea there would be a place to country dance in Colorado Springs, but my wife and I were able to pop in for a few songs and shake the rust off, albeit in tennis shoes and shorts....The music was different than what youd normally hear at a Texas honky-tonk, but they played some of our favorites anyway! We didnt buy any drinks while we were here, so I cant speak to the professionalism of the employees, except for the worker who tried to shoulder his way through me on his way to the bar. He seemed like he was having a rough night.
Not safe for LGBTQIA individuals. Do not recommend. Had an incident with a friend who was treated extremely poorly and we immediately left. Will never return.
Racist staff, racist owners. This place is awful if you’re not white. Ask anyone who’s been in the springs long enough and they will tell you that the only thing Cowboys is known for is fights and racism. The bouncers are known for refusing entrance to anyone who isn’t white or doesn’t fit their idea of a “respectful patron”. The rest of the staff will cut you off or kick you out after a single drink, while they continue to serve white people until they start a fight. It’s a shame that this is still one of the only popular clubs in Colorado Springs. Do yourself a favor and go ANYWHERE else but this racist establishment
First time my friends and I have been here. It was a fun place with 3 stories,1. For dancing and a bar.2. For pool tables.3. For karaoke and bar with a smoking patio. However we went on Saturday night and it was pretty hot in there, they need some more fans or just need to keep the temp down in the dancing area. And beware of some of the guys in there, they cant handle rejection and get rude. And if you request a song dont plan on them playing it.
The bartenders are amazing, but security doesn’t do their job at all! I got drugged and I got harassed which security did nothing about. My male friend saw drugs being dealt and done in the bathroom. Again, security did nothing. Two people have gotten jumped leaving there in the last two weeks. One of the security guards was taking advantage of overly intoxicated women. Great service from bartenders, but due to security not doing their job it is NOT a safe bar.
Lady was snotty about my son in laws bracelet telling him they probably gonna make him take it off. They said this place wasnt as great as the first place they went to. Why yall give my daughter and him a bad experience right outta the gate? He wasnt gonna take it off because christmas present from my daughter. They drove in from Washington to be here! Cant belive yall really because Ive heard some fun times there at your establishment, I guess not now that you reopened yesterday, huh?
I went there as a single women and was looking for a cowboy. Was there on a Saturday from 7pm to midnight and not a single person came to say a word to me. Then they start to play noncountry music not why I was there so I left. I am not planning to return. I read the reviews that said it was a place to meet single women so I went! To not be spoken to the hole time I was there!!
I had a horrible experience the other night. I am under 21 and went to the 18+ night. Right when I entered I was given xs on my hands and then proceeded to walk directly into the bar. Unbeknownst to me, there was a separate area where I was supposed to get a wristband, but a door was opened for me so I went directly inside. Within 15 minutes someone came up to me asking where my wristband was. I had no knowledge of a wristband and had not received one so I told them that. My friend had my phone, along with my ID in her pants so I did not have that either. I was told to wait there and was then escorted over to the main security guy. I explained the situation and they told me that I had taken off my wristband. I denied this and tried to explain I was never given a wristband, but would be happy to go get one, but instead was told, its time for you to leave. The security guard kept pushing me out of the bar and I told him I would happily leave but asked him to not touch me. He continued to push me until I sternly told him to stop touching me, and then was left outside, without my phone, money, or ID. I am a 19 year old who was sober and had no bad intentions but was left alone on the street with no way to return home. I waited for 10 minutes and then tried to respectfully explain my situation to a security guard outside. He basically told me I was lying about not receiving a wristband and would not allow me to find my friend in order to retrieve my belongings and go home. I ended up having to walk home alone at 12:30 am for 45 minutes. I did my best to be respectful to everyone I encountered and am disappointed with how little regard they have for their customers. I left alone, scared, and upset, and I hope they will be more understanding and respectful in the future.
Daughter lost her phone on a busy Saturday night. Manager quickly responded to request for help to locate the lost item. Cannot thank him enough. Customer service (especially after hours) is hard to come by. Thank you!
I am from out of town and came here for after a wedding and got kicked out after 15 minutes for using a Juul inside. Never had any warning and had no idea I was not allowed to use it. Waisted a lot of time for me and my friends and would not recommend because of this.(Edit in response to reply) True it is the responsibility of the individual to know the laws in the state, but the reaction of your establishment to eject me for being ignorant of the laws after I was apologetic and compliant was totally unnecessary and classless.(Edit #2) I just got a notification that this review has gotten 1000 views!!!!! If it has even lost you, one customer, it was worth the time to type! This was the most inhospitable experience I have ever had.
What a fun place to go. Lots of friendly people to meet and super nice bartender. Will definitely go there again. Great Country music too.
Great bar and venue. If you go on Friday nights you can pay $10 for unlimited liquor until midnight. (They usually stop a little before midnight, so get that last drink in!) 1st floor has the dance floor, 2nd floor has billiards, and 3rd floor they do karaoke and more billiards. There is no bowling here (used to be the third floor, and I think a different business).
$10 all you can drink on Wednesday is fire and all but its hard to go one night there without an employee being as rude as possible to you.
First time going. It was a fun time. Out bartender was great and she made some pretty mean drinks. There was live music and regular DJ music, so good mix. Could use some more seating though.
Wednesday is the night to come, it is just insanely well-priced for the experience. Other than that: okay music, not too many people, and overpriced drinks. Cool atomphere with a lot to do.
Honestly had a blast highly recommend
Seems to be either totally dead or super packed, hardly any in between.Unless youre going to a concert here, no reason to wait in line. Youll barely be able to move and shoulder bumped by every dude in the place.Upstairs is more fun than most regular Springs places... Most Springs residents avoid the place, its for visitors looking for the big club or military, both of which may join in on the shoulder-bumping posturing; but with the right group and when it doesnt have a line, it can be grrreat, like any place.
I would rate this place as a 0. I was told after entering & after paying the $5 (each) cover for me & my wife, ordering 2 Miller Lites I was not allowed to order anything else. I was charged $12.75 for the 2 Miller Lites that I ordered & told to leave. I will never return.
Horrible bar! Rude people! Dj was so ridiculous trying to tell me copper head road is a racist song. Farthest thing from racist. I will never be going back.
This place is awesome! The 3rd floor rocks!!! Mechanical Bull, tons of pool tables, skew ball, karaoke, AND AX THROWING!!! It’s a mecca for adults! I’ll definitely be back next time I visit the Springs!!!!
I met the love of my life here in a Wednesday night. I was with my lady celebrating our esteemed one month anniversary when I saw her there in her groovy boots. The way that she was shaking that thang enraptured me. Mlady went to the bathroom and I hit her with the quick number block and outfit change (fake mustaches do ya wonders fellas). I spent a couple hours trying to build up the courage to try to talk to her and between dodging my former lady, I was pretty sweaty. Finally I approached her with a buttery smooth Howdy. We went up to ride the mechanical bull and when I was thrashing around on the bull I saw a horrifying sight: Mlady and mlove were chatting. I was promptly thrown off the bull and never either of them again. Still the music was bumping and the drinks were excellent. Cant wait for next Wednesday night
Nice venue, newly expanded dance floor, but the $6 hamburger was the worst I ever had. 1/4 inch patties charred til crispy. Yuck.Change your meat supplier & train the cooks please!
Great country western vibe, been going there for years, contemporary music plus some classics, many line dances, cha-cha & waltz, courteous bar service, good crowd of all ages, Sunday lessons by Barb are good beginner environment : )
It was my first time going and I was bored. The DJ was not that great and it felt crowded! Drinks were okay, didnt like that you couldnt bring your drinks downstairs. I liked Grizzly Rose much better!
Very nice, casual place to spend your evening. Lots of young people, a couple of elderly. They offer dancing, cheap drinks, pool, karaoke, and more. Definitely my favorite place to go 2-steppin!!
Really disappointed that on a Wednesday night you are only playing country music, I thought Sunday nights was country night! Nobody wants to hear that’s only, you need a mixture to make everyone happy! It is 11pm and they play stale music! And the DJ refused to play anything other than what he wants! I saw 10 people make a request and he just laughed and kept playing what he wanted!
Good for what it is I guess? Not really my scene. Drinks are overpriced, but whats new?If you really want to have fun at Cowboys, go to the third floor and watch drunk people fall of the mechanical bull.Personally I like copperhead road way better.
Bret the bartender denied me water because I asked for another 3 cups without ice and or a pitcher of water so I wouldnt have to keep bugging him. He was rude about it and denied me anymore water. Im fine with paying for your tap water but seriously, I cant have water? Ive tipped him more than 20% because I did buy beer from him earlier on in the night. He also ignored me and took ppl behind me because I was asking for water. There was no reason for him not to take care of his customers. Get another job bret cuz obviously ur customer service is terrible!
Ive been calling this night club the best karaoke bar in downtown Colorado Springs for years because it felt like home to me. Kudos to the bartender who works Saturday nights on the third floor (Dos, I believe he is) and Connor, the karaoke DJ. Now, how come this isnt 5 stars you may ask? The answer is that there have been so many ridiculous and rather unnecessary changes made, and some things that need to be changed yet havent changed in terms of business practices. I tried to visit the club tonight, but was refused access by a very unprofessional door greeter (whose name I didnt get) due to my attire (basketball shorts and a regular t-shirt). I questioned, and the female standing next to him stated tighter security (she was wearing a tank top, which I believe is also against their dress code). I feel embarrassed by the way I was treated because they tend to let in many others who may be out of dress code, ESPECIALLY YOUNG FEMALES who appear to be under the legal drinking age (sleeveless, backless, low-rise, definitely revealing of rather private areas - more appropriate for the dance club across the street, NOT A COUNTRY MUSIC-THEMED ESTABLISHMENT). Should I also mention that they also tend to grant access to some people who already appear a bit intoxicated or under the influence of drugs? I can understand to a certain extent of tight security (no wepons, outside food or beverage, etc), but this is just a joke! Cowboys Nightclub, if you can see this and respond, PLEASE CHANGE YOUR WAYS AND MAKE A DRESS CODE THATS THE SAME FOR ALL MALE AND FEMALE PATRONS. Also, make sure your door greeters do their jobs properly by refusing access to those who appear to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.I would greatly appreciate if you could make the suggested changes above (as I really do want to rate your business full 5 stars). If not, Colorado Springs does have many other karaoke clubs around, and Ill be more than happy to name one of them as my new venue.
Freezing. Absolutely freezing. Everyone was wearing their jackets. They clearly dont care about their customers. Good thing theres an alternative, Whiskey Baron. What a shame. Been goiin to Cowboys for over 12 years... no more. Oh and drinks are crazy expensive. Tim, please pay attention to your customers.
I do enjoy this bar! Im a local and yea Ive seen my things here, but they always deliver. My bar tender Katlin was amazing tonight!! She killed it !! Thanks girl 😘
Its a cool club to go to. Kinda wish they would expand the dance floor a little more. Also play more hip hop music on Wednesday since.its Hip Hop Night. But other than that i like it my favorite line dance is the Copper Head Road.
They had $10 admission but nobody told me it was all you can drink til midnight with that. I heard it from a guy I met at 11:30 at gasoline alley. By then it just wasnt worth it. You should go. 2 stars off for lack of information flow and marketing.
My card was overcharged TWICE in the same night. When I paid the $10 cover charge for 2 of us, the girl gave herself a $2 tip and charged my card $12, even though I wrote 0 in the tip line (sorry, I dont think running my card deserves a tip). Then my total for 4 beers was $15, and I wrote in a $4 tip so the total should have been $19, but they ran my card for $25. There is no way the bartender deserves a $10 tip for taking the top off of 4 bottles of beer. I will be calling my bank and disputing the charges and they can get $0 from me.
Been going to cowboys for 8 years now and I always enjoy it! Gotten to know a lot of the bartenders and manager and theyre all amazing! We always come back because they remember us and the atmosphere is always Awesome!
Had a great time there!
Fun place to hang out. It has 3 floors with different things to offer for your evening. Drinks were ok, plenty to see & do.
Im here on vacation from the central valley in California, my family took me here.It was really nice.!!The staff were all very pleasant. The prices were reasonable. The music was cooo, along with the other patrons.I even rode the bull.. hella funn!!!!Thank you !!Everythings all good,Michelina Segotta
If I could leave less than one star I would.
I love this place on Wednesdays! Country and Hiphop! Free drinks till midnight but damnnnnnnnnnnnnn the DJ has the same CD/playlist going on for 10 years now! And double playing the line dances, come on now!
Very rude bartender snatched my bottle of water out of my hand and threw it away with no explanation. We were not allowed to enter the other bars on the street because of this. I will never visit this bar again. The drinks were sub par and obviously the service was terrible.
Good dance floor no live band but a good DJ mix of songs to dance to the drinks are strong. The place could use some more money in repairs but it is a fun place to visit
Its definatly a full house wens-sat. Cowboy up stairs for karaoke, mechanical bull, pool tables and rooftop patio. Dance lessons available, and live performances from your favorite country stars. Enjoy.
Great atmosphere, large venue and dance floor, 4+ bars! People of all dancing capabilities are there on the floor from the incapable and just learning to couples who need to be on TV theyre so good!
Sound quality was horrible. Its like they dont do sound checks at all. All we could hear was the drummer. Food? Eat somewhere else.
Always a good time at Cowboys. If you like country music then youll enjoy it too.
So much fun there love that they have three floors and different activities on each floor the outside patio on the third floor is great loved it all the way around
Nice place $10 and get all the beer you want on Wednesday but they cant read military Ids my buddy whos 24 couldnt get in they even asked a cop who was outside and he said his Id was good but they didnt accept it
Not a huge fan of line dancing, but its a fun group thing once in a while. If youre into cheap drinks and crappy music, this is your place!
Large Dance Floor, great music, we have always had a good time when we go to Cowboys. The happy hour drinks are great!
Bf got hit in the face with a beer bottle by some random person for no reason last night and the manager did nothing about it.
The woman bar tender on the second floor is a total bit_h! Dont take out a beer from the ice unless you want to get kicked out. Fu_k this place!!
The most overrated bar in Colorado Springs.just because it is named cowboys doesnt mean its a country bar.but if youre between 18 and 25 and wear skinny jeans and no socks you will love this place.
Went up stairs for a friends birthday and see The Jeffrey Allen Band. Met the the band. Good selection of spirits and had a great time dancing!
I have never been so disrespected in my life form a manager . I was trying to talk to him but he wouldnt even listen to me and then he started to cuss at me.
I watched the door man force a guy to sit outside when it was snowing because he was 18 and was just wanting to stay inside the front hall for 10 minutes. he pushed him out and shoved him to ground. a bunch of robots working in there
Arrived at 6 for an event that started at 5. One band, Trick Pony. Its now 10:15 and the band still has not come out on stage. One word sucks.
Its not horrible but it is very pricey compared to other places on the strip. It is a great place if youre looking to two step!
DO NOT go this horrible establishment! I went to cowboys for the first time this past Friday and my card information was stolen. My bank account was drained shortly after I left.
It a good place but the last time I went they lost my ID after I gave them it and they said that they would replace it and have not even hear a response from them it fell like I am pulling teeth to get a response out of them this make me not want to come back
Charges $16.00 for a double vodka soda.Charges $5.75 for a single vodka soda.Money will be swindled but it is a pretty nice place overall.
They don’t play copperhead road anymore which is my favorite line dance, bring it back please.
Can get super crowded, but the bartenders are cool and we usually get a pool table when we want one.
Always a good place to drink and have a good time with friends. Pretty dead before 10:30-11:00 always tho. Lol
Best country dance hall in town
New karaoke DJ wastes a lot of time with games and lets same people skip the line . Bring back the old karaoke DJ
Horrendous DJ. Plays repetitive playlists and doesnt take requests. What a joke. It has been the same for the past 4 years. I try this once a year to see if it has changed. NOTHING new since 12...save yourself $5.
Bartenders will overcharge your card and then turn around and make security kick you out before you have the chance to even figure out why you’re getting charged for SOMEONE ELSES DRINKS
Good dance floor and attractions. Just wish a bar on the 1st floor would have liquor for the specialty nights like Fridays.
Old man working door won’t let you in if you don’t look the part. Doormen at other bars confirmed it is normal.
We danced wrong so we got kicked out. Do not go. Not recommended.
Love it. Go almost every week with my girls.
Wish the manager would address the music they play early in the evening on Fridays and Saturdays. How hard can it be.
They only put the songs they want... atmosphere ok... other than that ugggh!!!
Really not a big fan of this place. I tried a couple times, maybe it was bad luck, maybe this place breeds awful decisions. I dont know.
More suggestions to go here than to pursue education, job, and self sufficient. Sometimes violence involved.
Got kicked out for dancing wrong! Manager is not nice
Great dancing!!
Nice they lowered the cover charge since the last time I was there. Was bored. So left after 30 minutes.
So much fun. Best place to play pool and dance. Friendly staff.
No seats at the bar, had 1 beer and was told ive had enough. Bartender and employees were rude.
If you like to line dance or two step, and maybe have a drink or three, really isnt anywhere better in the springs!
Best place to go out dancing for sure
$10 free drinks is awsome but music sucks . Gay cowboys every where, broke back tejon
Fun place, friendly staff, clean establishment, and lots of fun things to do!
Best place to hear live music am all around fun! Great staff
Great place to go dancing! Will we ever be allowed to again?
This bar was far from a country bar they played too much hip hop,the females that work here are super rude and disrespectful I do not recommend this place...
The whole western theme gos away around 9:00 pm, then it turns into a basic club
No table service most of the night. Lots of dancing on huge dance floor.
This is our go-to bar. Always have a blast here, the $10 wrist bands on Friday are key!!
DJ Plays The Same Tracklist Every Wednesday. Most Of The Bar Staff Are Rude & Grumpy
They robbed me...I gave them my card for a tab my bill came to 10.40 gave a 2.00 tip check w my bank n they charged my card 25$
The atmosphere is awful! Everyone working there is rude and judgmental! I’m never going back!
Closed after a country concert Sam Hunt, are you kidding me?😢😢
Great establishment, great staff and friendly bartenders
If you love country music and line dancing definitely the place for you.
Yes there is a dance floor. Horrible dj
I love that its swing dancing and line dancing and the like! Its so upbeat and fun!
It was great love the people and the workers. You have to go and see how it is.
Nocle Raimlrevz.To. You. Love.Cowboys.39Eanop high. School baddyI Abu. Oak. Home. Us
Discriminatory bouncers who are extremely rude . Definitely a hick type establishment
Great drink specials on fridays! Love this place
Love to see all the concerts! Great dance floor!
I lost my id there and have tried calling them multiple times no answer. And i cant get in now
Good place if you enjoy country music. Service is grate
Loved the decor and dancing with both country and popular music
Wednesday nights arent bad for drink specials
Always a great time. Staff always on point. Family kinda place.
Theyre sexist. You think the guys have a hard a time. Be a female and see their true nature.
Good drink specials, small dance floor
Not a true country bar to much rap and hip hop its a dive bar
Went here the end of June and the staff was great.
Literally had the best time here on my vacation
Club was great, but people were rude, and prices are high
Awesome and Amazing time! Great staff
Old school feel and well poured drinks!
All you can drink for $10 on Wednesdays
Horrible security staff. Hired goons without restraint
There were snakes all up in my boots
A fun place to go dance
Too busy, too hectic, and because of the volume very impersonal
Very different. Third floor is very interesting
Bowling alley on top floor was interesting
Great to line dance and couple dane
Great place to get super drunk
Fun club for all types of people.
Its okay not really my scene
Great place to take a drink and dance
