The black bean burger I got was pretty good, and the waitresses handled our large conference group really well. Seems like a good local haunt. Decent enough place with live music.

I only go for the food. Garage has the best handmade burger and salads in town! Don’t try the coleslaw because the combination is absolutely wrong and gross in my personal opinion! Service is normally fairly decent depending on the day, the restaurant is clean and in a nice location! I love all of the seating options they have. Overall would definitely recommend. I went there to see a band. I ordered an appetizer and some beer . The food was great, the service was great also and a very nice atmosphere. Overall a very good night . I would recommend this place .

Nice place to grab a bite to eat. We had several appetizers (all were very good), and our party had several different mains from the tenderloin, to a burger, to wraps. Everyone said their food was good. I had the breaded tenderloin. It was very good larger than the bun (an absolute BPT requirement) and well seasoned and flavorful. It was just slightly dry. I sampled the onion rings and sweet potato fries, both of those were excellent. Top it off with a Blue Moon and all is good. Wont hesitate to go back if the group wants to, and Id get the tenderloin again. Server was very friendly, but due to only two servers working and a restaurant full of guests, service was slow. Not a complaint, just an observation, she was hustling.

Nice little pub with a cool crowd in the heart of downtown Columbus. The food is standard pub fare and surprisingly good. The service was fast and friendly. Not a large selection of beer, but enough to have something to like. It turned out to be a Kareoke night for us, which enhanced the vibe. Will go again.

Went with some friends of line for some live music and some beers. Overall, we had a great time. Service was good , especially for being a pretty packed house inside and out . Beer selection is generally mediocre , all your usual distributor domestics, modelo, etc ... Some craft beers ,but nothing to get excited about. There should be something for everyone ,though. The food was middling ..... Boneless wings would have been good but the sauce was excessively salty , to the point all you could taste was salt. Mozza sticks were good ,but they were pretty pricey. $12 bucks is a little steep .Its a pretty cool little spot inside. Lots of seating , not crammed together at tables , actually a nice change from the common sardine can seating arrangements . It was clean and neat , bathrooms were some of the cleaner bar bathrooms I have seen .The live band was awesome last night . It is pretty cool spot to hang out and enjoy some live music. The crowd was on the older side , not sure if thats the general crowd or because of the band they covered a lot of classic rock and 80s hits .Overall we had a really good time . Definitely recommend and Def will be back

Bar with good food and drinks. Live music occasionally. Had an Olympian drink and it was delish 😋. Had the Jalapeno - Mozzarella sticks for an appetizer and the dipping sauce was yummy. Hub and I both had a sandwich and fries and the food was great and the portions were good.

The fish used in the fish & chips were more disrespected in their passing than when my aunt sang Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go at my grandmothers funeral. There was also no music for the first 2 hours we were there. At that point I would have preferred my aunts record 186 missed notes in a row for any semblance of ambiance.

Still always great drinks and service. But really strange to have a child and a baby in a stroller in a bar. Makes me personally rethink going. Not the atmosphere I want to try and rewind and relax. A restaurant is more a place for children not a bar.

Great pub. Sat outdoors and listened to live music, EKG. Had great service from Emma. Just had drinks but the food looked really tasty. The drinks were good - kudos to the bartender. Enjoyable relaxing time.

Pretty disappointing. The service was okay. Burger was decent. Fries werent good. Biggest disappointment was the drinks. $10 and $12 cocktails to get straight up water with some club soda on top.. dont usually write reviews but to pay $25+ for 2 drinks and them be as bad as they were.... every drink around us that came out also looked extremely watered down. Ide save the time and go up the road to 4th street bar.

As others have mentioned, there were about 10 kids running around the dance floor and throughout the bar.Also, my wife and I both woke up with food-poisoning like symptoms. I believe it was from the chicken as we both agreed while eating it, that something did not taste right.Hate to leave a bad review, but feel it is warranted.Band was good but unlikely to return in the near future.

We had great food and a great time recently at The Garage Pub and Grill ! It was Singo Bingo night and young ones (son and daughter in law)and old one (me) had so much fun. Firecracker chicken app was Wow! I had a delicious BBQ brisket sandwich. Great wine and drinks. Fabulous server who gave great recommendations. The Bingo was a good time. Great tunes and the crowd was singing! Singo Bingo makes for lots of fun for a Tuesday night!

Went looking for a good burger, and they did not disappoint. Excellent onion rings. Decor is OK. Look for live music some nights. Patio / staff are dog friendly (if your pet is well behaved). Service has always been attentive and friendly.

First time eating at The Garage. Was there on a Saturday evening. It didnt really get busy until after we arrived. Our waitress showed up by saying, sorry, but you are stuck with me. I thought she was being sarcastic, but it was a rough night for her. I asked her what food she recommended, and she immediately said the tenderloin, which Im a big fan of tenderloins. After waiting over an hour for our food, in which she paid very little attention to us. The tenderloin was mediocre at best, a glorified pork fritter. Fries were OK. Had 2 beers, and both seemed like they were just poor in the cooler. Overall, not a good experience at all. Doubt I give it a second chance

I didnt realize that we were there when a live performance was scheduled. The singer was so loud that I couldnt understand the words. It would be 1/4 into the song before I could recognize the song.

2 things happened last night that would of afforded you a fine and or revoking your liquor license.1) a child sat at the bar rail for over a hour. Indiana law says No one under 21 can sit where alcohol is dispensed.2) The new law says kids can go into a bar with a parent or guardian with the sole purpose of consuming food. When the kids were on the dance floor for over a hour violates your establishment. I will state 99% was the parents fault,your pub was their babysitter!

Great local bar and grill. Super cheap domestic drafts and a great selection of craft beer. Great burger and sandwich selection.

We like to go on Tuesday for Singo Bingo. It’s fun and they have a large draft beer special for $4.50. Candace is a great waitress. Very friendly and attentive.

I like this place every time I go, no matter what day or what time of the day it is.They have wonderful food with very good ambience going on all the time.Weekend nights with live music surely calls for party people to have a great time.

It took a while for our food to come out, but it was good and it was hot when it did. Mickey was fantastic and the noise level was surprisingly low given the fact there was music playing. (You can use an app to select songs to play on the juke box.) Overall a very pleasant dining experience.

Great music but I ordered food water and reminded the staff I had to to pay for a drink at the bar and was ignored for TWO hours. Finally someone told me I could have chips because the kitchen was closed as if that was the equivalent to dinner. They then tried to charge me for the drink I reminded them I ordered.garbage

Glad this place reopened! Highly recommended the tenderloin! But my weakness and a few places in this town that has sweet potato fries and dipping in Carmel sauce #GoodEats

The food didnt taste very good.

We went to the garage with a large party last night. It was super busy during the block party. Tara, a server was at the block party with her son and saw how busy it was, so she stepped inside and started clearing off tables & running drinks. It’s always a pleasure to see Tara when we go because she’s always so on top of keeping the tables cleaned off, getting drinks and food out as timely as possible and interacting with everyone. She can usually be seen helping other customers that aren’t her own in her spare time.

Food and service was not good at all. I didnt think nachos would be hard to make but waited over 25 mins for nachos and there was only 4 tables in the whole place. The nachos wasnt even worth eating after waiting that long.price is pretty expensive

Had a not so good time. Food was good, but the service was not. For starters it took a while for anyone to walk over and greet us. We ordered our food and it came in a timely manner. Had to get our own silverware though. The lady waiting on us was more interested in eating her own food and talking with other workers. Her and another guy was laughing and having a good time by the food pick up window. He was even vaping back there. So after grabbing our own to-go box. We walked over to get our own check. Would recommend sitting at the bar. The bartender looked like he was doing a great job!

Went in to eat for anniversary. Waitress had to be told to come to the table. Brought our waters and asked if we needed a minute to order. We said yes, and then she never came back. We just left because of it. Will not return as this is the second attempt in a couple years without success here.

Great for a company outing, night out with friends, or date night. Weekends have live music and a wide variety of alcohol. Grilled salmon and grilled tenderloin are excellent choices. Appetizers for all of our staff were incredible. Cannot say enough great things about our waitress. Highly recommend and will return soon

Im only giving it 3 starts because the short dark haired bartender was the only one of the 3 bartenders who waited on us at the bar. The longhaired blonde guy bartender looked our way a few times, but didnt budge to wait on us at all. Thank you for being on the job last night (dark haired girl). Hopefully you didnt have to split tips.

Great place to go for lunch or dinner with coworkers or your significant other. When they have karaoke its always a blast. However, when they have live bands it tends to be a little too loud and you cannot hear the person next to you. They have excellent food and decent prices on drinks. Staff has always been nice and quick with service.

The food was terrific and staff was amazing. I had the pork steak, potatoes and veggies as recommend by our waitress. The sauce on the pork chop was amazing! The looks from the outside say regular bar but the atmosphere inside says inviting dinner. Go there now! Then go back for more.

Driving through downtown Columbus.. neon lights out of the corner of my eye I went here completely blind not knowing what I was going to eat or drink for the night. I wanted local and fresh beer. I got more than I could have ever imagined. My food and drink were the best I had on my experience to Indiana. I had the BEST pork tenderloin Ive ever had in my LIFE... Im from Iowa so I know pork tenderloin... but I was taken aghast by this sandwich. For me that doesnt happen often.. ill be telling the whole world about The Garage. With a great selection of food and beer .. I hope to be back someday. Until next time.. 🔥

Decent food with good live music. Had to sit near the band because it was crowded and could barely hear each other speak. Been here a few times and every mixed drink I’ve had was terrible. My friends and I each ordered the same drink and they all tasted different. We couldn’t even finish them. Overall, eat and listen to music, get your drinks elsewhere.

If you want to watch 12 year old on the dance floor come here. Felt like going to chuckie cheese...

Came in around dinner time with my wife and brother for a quick bite to eat downtown. Plenty of people eating and having agood time and we get seated by a hospitable waiter. My wife ordered the nachos, I order a crispy chicken sandwich, my brother orders the same sandwich. Our food arrived in about 20 minutes and boy was it delicious. The prices arent bad either. Will most definitely see me back in their for good food, drinks and the friendly crowd.

We were visiting this wonderful city however, this experience was less than pleasant. It took forever for our server to great us even after asking if we need to be seated. We ordered chips and salsa right off the bat. Chips and salsa. After waiting 15 minutes for chips and salsa and never seeing our waitress again we left. I overheard other tables that also seemed unhappy. It was a Monday night, there were five tables. No excuses. Dont waste your time.

Great music great food and awesome staff. Only problem is theyre always so busy so its hard to find a seat!! But really I recommend this place to everybody. The places feels very nice and friendly and you just want to have to have a good time when youre in there.

I cannot say enough about The Garage Pub and Grill. It is a main stay in my hometown and I love it there. I dont drink these days, but Ive worked with them for about 3 years now performing and hosting events and will occasionally just hang out there for company on a day off. Love that place, especially Mike and Dustin! Mike inspired me to keep growing as a musician and entertainer.

Great food & the band was great. Staff was very nice & friendly. Big time change from the other owners and staff. I will definitely be returning. The brisket burger is amazing! I definitely recommend it!

My wife and I stopped here for dinner and each had a version from the pub burger menu. Everything was very good. Easily the best burger I have had in Indiana. The service was painfully slow, and the place was not even crowded. Hopefully they can improve the service to be as good as the food.

Daughter and I both like spicey (were from Texas), but both of our meals were beyond spicey. Almost inedible.

Saw an evening band play. Wait staff kept up with the orders despite the amount of people there to enjoy the music. They did a terrific job good food and drink to top off the evening

Nope. Never again. Candace our server was prompt, friendly and very efficient! Burger was ok as was chips/salsa. I ordered pork filet and after one bite tasting odd, cut the whole thing in half. It was completely raw other than outside char. Figured things happen, and Candance easily took it away for a fresh meal. Instead of preparing a fresh piece of pork, they threw the two halves in a pan and sent back out. It was like rubber of course. A kitchen that uncaring that would serve raw pork and then not bother to give you a fresh meal? Nope, it was gross.

The atmosphere was fun. We ordered potato nachos with chicken and buffalo chicken salad. The nachos had some liquid cheese on it that fell to the bottom of the plate of the waffle fries so it felt non existent and made the fries soggy. The salad was good but the chicken had a funky taste. Im not sure if it was smoked or if it was the buffalo sauce.

Food was amazing. Service was slower than I would have liked. I feel like its more of a homie hang out pub vs. A hurry up and get food and get out style pub. Wish i could rate a 4.5 but service was just a touch to slow.

Didnt drink at all, but had some food. Had the Buffalo Bison Burger with the honey slaw and it was great. Very enjoyable, I had cooked at mediun and it was delicious. And I am very picky with burgers because Im a chef for a living, but this burger impressed me. Good stuff!

Decent spot, didnt get to try the food but drinks were good. Plenty busy and a nice atmosphere with a band playing. Layout its kinda boring, but its a good spot to stop by on a night of drinking.

Overall good experience. Service is average. Dry run Cajun wings, ceasar salad plus salmon that is blackened on a salad all were very good. They have live music which is an added plus. Nice part of town.

Best Nachos in town! and also a pretty dang good Margarita! Love the live bands in the evenings/weekends when they have them... only down side is that it gets pretty tight in there when it is a full house.

In town from out of state for National softball tourney and recommended to go here. Went on a Thursday and we.....18 parents in total....had a BLAST with karaoke!!! The food was excellent and our server....think Ashley maybe?.....was more than excellent accommodating us. Would HIGHLY recommend The Garage!!!

Just went in and sat down for 10 minutes waiting for a server to no avail. During that 10 minutes, I spotted multiple employees at the bar playing on their phones and laughing while not paying attention to the customers waiting on service. Used to be an awesome place.

We come to the garage a lot and always have great service! Tara has been our server a lot and we came in for a company party that got a little wild and she handled it with ease!! We really appreciate all of her hard work and her positive attitude!!

Excellent location. The live band was pretty good and a good selection of drinks. We had drinks on the patio. The wait staff was on point with the service even though it was fairly busy.

You can’t go bad dining here everything I’ve had thus far is exceptional. I especially love the fish but have to admit the Steak salad is incredible. Chef Troy goes out of his way to see you get quality food 😋

Went with a group of friends for the Tuesday evening SINGO (BINGO but with song names and a 30 second clip of the music. Found myself singing along having a great time!

Very good food and great service from our server. Nothing special about the place. Typical pub food and good for watching sports. If you are looking for a good meal in downtown Columbus I recommend it.

Until tonight would have rated a 5, originally would have said server was at fault tonight but reviewing how things transpired I believe it was poor training and a poor understanding of customer service. I honestly believe this server was just doing things as normal and was therefore stunned to hear a complaint…she could have saved the situation with a simple apology. Food was even off tonight and the band was so so. Anyway tonight was a one but averaging with previous experience….

I had the Reuben and margaritas. Both were good. Portion size is big. One person was entertaining us. Band was not to loud that you couldnt hold a table conversation.

Ive visited twice the last few weeks since Ive turned 21. Theyve got a great drink selection as well ass food. The food is a little pricy and in the $10- $15 range, and adds up quickly, but its a great venue and even has live music later around 9pm

This place has awesome food! The band was great!!! I knew EVERY song!! It was because red lobster was closed that we came here!!! Definitely be back!!! Ty oh and the tie dyed margarita fabulous!!!

All visits have been good. Food is pretty good for bar food, prices are decent and service is good. First improvement I would have to suggest would be the staff. A little more friendly and personable would be nice. Overall though a good place!

Cant say enough about the staff. They were very friendly. We came from out of town and they gave us some good area recommendations. 4 stars because the breaded mushrooms appetizer was super salty.

Great live music on the weekends, Chef Troy has a wonderful menu, the staff is the best in Columbus, bathrooms always clean and the outside seating is big and you can bring your pup! :) , great atmosphere, very comfortable!!

The bands are decent. But the cocktails are very disappointing. We ordered a pina colada and the first round had no alcohol so we asked if on the next round to add alcohol..Lol. Omg the drink was nasty because it had pure cheap alcohol and we couldn’t even drink it, what a waist of money. The main bartender is very rude too. I will never order a cocktail from there again. Just bottled beer.

Watch your credit card statement. Added an unauthorized tip. Talked to the manager and was told they didnt have my receipt. So I asked, how did a tip get added? She did not have an answer and would have to call back. Called back and said one of bartenders magically still had receipt the day I called (3 weeks after I was there), which showed the correct tip. Interesting...

Great bar! Loved the outdoor seating. Even more, I loved the outdoor activities. Cornhole, ladder golf and washers. All are my favorite backyard games. Highly recommend it!!!

Service was great. Thank you Tara ! Pork nachos very bland because of the pork. I had the Columbus Sandwich. Their take on the Cuban sandwich. It was also very bland. The pork in general had no flavor. The bun on my sandwich was toasted and nothing like a Cuban sandwich.

First impressions are not always the best. Seems to be a popular place for the locals. Special of the evening was Buffalo Shrimp Tacos. I was very disappointed. Beer was cold and the margarita was good. Probably should have gone to Buffalo Wild Wings. Sorry..........

Bad, bad service. Average food. Mediocre beer selection. Ive been going for a year now because there arent many options in town. It has the location and space to be great but lacks the competence. Wait staff, bartender, cooks, management... they all have no idea what theyre doing. Consistently the worst service in Columbus guaranteed.

Good variety of drinks and beers, bartenders are very funny and the food is delicious, I am not a fan of karaoke but this one is fun, there always a very good singer in the audience willing to give a show and get other costumers going, very friendly environment.

I enjoyed it. Good food I got the tenderloin sandwich I recommend that only thing I have had off their menu. Friendly employees. Not alot of seating available in the evenings.

Live music, drinks were great! Waitress recommended my friend try a Hairy Buffalo and she LOVED IT. I did a Moscow Mule. Fun spot!

In town for work and had lunch here. Service was good and fairly quick. Burger was really good, came out hot and the cheese was melted properly. Fries were above average.

This is a relative rating based on personal preferences. The people at the Garage are great, but I like the micro brew selection at the Columbus Bar more and the food at 4th St. more. Since there are a limited number of options in Columbus, The Garage gets bumped for me. The Garage does do karaoke best though.

So happy they opened back up after Covid (under new ownership). Menu has been drastically reduced but Chef Troy is still there so its good.

From the moment this place opened it has been AWFUL in terms of the service. Went there last night with 6 other people and they changed waitresses on us 3 times! When I asked why the first waitress left, the last waitress told us she had to get home to her kids and then when I went inside to use the restroom I saw her sitting at the bar with her other waitress friends! The service is terrible, the food is over priced and when we left there we had been waiting for almost 1 hour 45 minutes for everything! The first waitress forgot my friends food but because she left the last waitress said since it wasnt her fault and she fixed it she couldnt give a discount!!! I WILL NEVER EAT OR DRINK THERE AGAIN!!! Go to 4th Street just down the block, the servers actually remember that you placed an order there!

$16 for lukewarm fries and an over cooked burger pretty much sums this place up. Tried it more then once, and the results were consistent. Pass on this one - 4th street 2 blocks down the road is MUCH better. Service was terrible as well.

I cant say Ive had anything there I didnt like. Ive even had the veggi burger, and I think you should too. Live entertainment a few times a week, genuinely cheerful staff, great food selection, and convenient location close to everything downtown.

Bar food, but a decent selection and everything we ordered was quite good. Service was snappy and attentive and the prices were right for what we wanted. All in all, a good experience.

One of two places in town that I consider myself a regular. Great place for food or to just have a drink with friends. Many employees have worked here since I first started going in 2014.

Our waitress was so inattentive! I had to chase her down for our drink refills after I had already asked for a refill, she did the same thing when I asked for the box after waiting several minutes, I had to approach the bar myself to get the to-go box. Very disappointed in the service, the food was good though.

Went to see a live performance and ordered the hot boneless wings. These were cooked perfectly and the flavor was great. Highly recommend this place to anyone.

We started off with the Firecracker Shrimp - Amazing!I had the breaded tenderloin, big enough to split and share... Max had the salmon salad with ancho chile dressing, his salad was huge!

Great little bar in downtown Columbus, its the best in the area in my opinion. Helpful staff and they have an absolutely awesome Bison Burger, I get it everytime I go and it has been great every time.

I don’t spend a lot of time at the Garage, mainly because I have small kids and don’t get out much. But after reading the letter to the editor in our local Columbus newspaper written by Steve Leach, I will be frequenting the Garage much more often. The letter was thoughtful and well-written and made several excellent points about the way people working in the service industry are treated in our society. Food is great! Atmosphere is great! Love esting and enjoying music, or just watching sports, or sitting outside! All time favorite places to go in Columbus!

The bartenders were very efficient and thorough, we did not wait for anything. They are an amazing team successfully managing the restaurant from mastering the bar and orders.

Wait staff and bar tenders here are always friendly and awesome! Love weekend hangouts at The Garage and the live music is great too

Its a great place for a quick lunch. I prefer the burger,onion rings, fries n hell fire sauce for lunch. You will get something here as per your food choice.

Had a steak here, which I dont do at a bar...ever. It was pretty good, and cooked like I asked for. Good service, maybe a little high on pricing, but quality is not lacking.

We went here for lunch on a Saturday, and we sat outside. The food was delicious and the service was prompt and very friendly! This place is now one of our favorites in Columbus!

Great service and great food. Sweet potato fries and duck wings were amazing, not to mention the fantastic frozen margaritas. A great dining experience.

The food and drinks were really great. Great atmosphere. However Im rather upset they charged me a dollar fifty for soda water.

There was 9 of us Very upset that a guy was playing 4 3 people outside we were spending and was going to continue spending but you wouldnt turn our music up that we PAID FOR!

One of my favorite places in the downtown. Good food good liquor and good entertainment. No wonder it’s houseful if you are not early enough to arrive.

The food was so-so, the beer selection wasnt great, and the service was pretty slow. Nothing about it jumped out and made me want to come back.Go for the trivia on Tuesdays; theres not much of a reason to go otherwise.

This is the best place in Columbus. Good is excellent! Service is great . Clean all the time even the bathrooms. If you havent been here make it a point.

Pretty cool place. The bartenders keep the beers coming even with all the tables being full. They get pretty busy on Fridays.

Live music, excellent food and drinks. Nice atmosphere, great bar tenders and servers. I go regularly and me and my husband love it.

Im actually sitting here now. Someone took my drink order when I arrived. A beer. That was 45 minutes ago. The beers been empty for 20 mins. Two different servers are routinely walking past me. Guess the beers free, Im going somewhere else. What a dump. Seriously.

Service was outstanding. The food (I had the Cuban) was too notch. And to top it all off - great time with karaoke.

Typical American bar fare. Its the best tenderloin in town. Beer selection leaves a lot to be desired but its comparable to other places in town. Live music most Fridays and Saturdays.

Garage was incredible! Good food, great atmosphere and fun activities are there on Tuesday. Team Fued every Tuesday is highly recommended.
