Plaza Motel Corpus Christi by OYO

Looks like a motel 6, not the blue building as advertised, the front desk guy was nice and quick with things so point for that, however, the sink was broken and the drain plug wouldn’t come up, and I found a live roach on my bed while eating, no bed bugs thankfully, and my family that was staying next door also found a roach in their fridge. Also the floors were pretty dirty and sandy when we walked in.

First and last time I will ever stay here. I guess you get what you pay for, but it aint even worth that. I dont know where they got their photos, but that aint how our room looked at all. Towels were dirty and badly stained, pillowcases and bedsheets were stained and had hair on them. The shower was so old and toilet didnt flush. Im not sure Ill be back here again. 😬

Do Not believe anything they say or advertise! Its under pet friendly but it is NOT! When I was finally able to get there, it was too late to book another place or catch a bus, nevermind that I never got a cancelation message and had to request a refund online because the motel refused to cooperate AT ALL. They have a comprehension problem, and they dont understand what the term hospitality means. I was sick; my blood sugar was dropping - but he was more interested in arguing and threatening cops because I was *rightfully* upset about the lack of shelter or food he was forcing me into. The money was tied up on their system so I couldnt do anything and I was quickly draining. But, ya, please keep arguing and acting like its my fault ysll have issues. Get ready, you may need an ambulance instead of police.-sincerely, sick girl with a service dog forced to overnight on the street after working so hard to get that room

Not our usual accommodations, but it was hard to find something in this area that would accommodate my family. Im going to be honest, I was a little worried upon arriving. Just not our usual, just kinda sketch. There was no lobby, you gotta Ring in, kinda strange. The receptionist was kind enough, and the room was accommodating for what we needed - 3 queen beds. The room was newer and pleasant enough. There was a glass cook top and good sized fridge, no microwave or coffee maker (I recommend going up the street to Coffee Waves). Our door wouldnt lock, but someone came and fixed it in a jiffy! :)Id probably stay again, the price was right and the location was great.

Not a luxury hotel but was perfect for our beach visit. Clean and great location. Staff was friendly. Just what we needed, we travel with our own coffee maker, food and toiletries. Cold refrigerator, clean sheets and towels and cold ac was just what we needed and nothing more. I called ahead to get a downstairs room because of a physical disability and they gladly accommodated me. We will return when we venture back to the area.

After a long day of fishing decided to get a room. I don’t know how this place managed to get some 5 star reviews. It was dirty, Roaches, ripped bath towels, what looks like blood stains on mattress cover. I would have left to find another hotel but was exhausted so crossed my fingers and hoped I didn’t get any bed bug bites.

If you need a bed to sleep for your beach vacation its a great spot. Rooms are pretty cheap right next to multiple beaches they are currently renovating rooms I think. Over all a nice little stop in stop if your getting away for the weekend

Good clean cheap hotel! Amenaties are what you should expect for the price. Rooms are clean, i saw no roaches or bed bugs👍.

I have only seen one of their rooms, and those people live in it, it is absolutely filthy. As for the other rooms, I would be surprised to see that all of their rooms are as nice as the one in the photo. Good place for ppl who are broke and just need a place to crash. Certainly not a place to find a dream vacation, but prices are very reasonable and location is close to the island and restaurants, so it could be worse.

Absolute trash. We traveled to Chorpus for a job conference for my partner and when he left to participate in his event it came to be check out time and I went to the office to pay for another day. My partner had my ID in his wallet and he took the car to go to his event. The people at the front would not allow me to use my debit card without my ID (mind you I had my two children with me). They refused to understand that my partner would return and we would pay (though i tried to pay) . They said me and my kids could walk to HEB and get cash (were right beside a hwy). Im not doing that with 2 kids. So they made us get all of our stuff and get out of the room. Treated me like my partner left me and wasnt coming back. Treated me like complete garbage. Refused to understand it wasnt a matter of not paying, I tried. We didnt plan to stay two days but changed our mind or we would have bought 2 days. They also refused to wait on my spouse to return. My spouse had our car so me and my kids had to wait outside with our bags like homeless people until my partner got out of his conference and could turn his phone on. This place is garbage and so are the people. Unbelievable. Outrageous. Unprofessional.Zero stars.

Never judge a book by its cover! We live 2 hours from Corpus and of course our power went out during this winter black out and LUCKILY found this vacancy .Only room available in Corpus so we stayed here....CLEAN ( very important factor for everyone) RENOVATED ON THE INSIDE, NO INSECTS OR RODENTS, two full size beds,cute kitchenettes, full size refrigerator, big bathroom and shower, paid 65$....it was quiet and relaxing! Very pleased...

This place really sucks. The owner doesnt give a crap about anything. I told the owner that there were Critters in the walls that were making noise all night. He said that they were raccoons and there was nothing he could or would do about it period at the same time he says that you cant use the laundry room past 9 oclock because it describes guests but I guess being disturbed by the raccoons is ok. The air conditioner was filthy I had to clean it myself. The ceiling fan was filthy and I had to clean it myself. There are no covers on the light fixtures that are supposed to cover the light bulbs. The smoke alarms do not exist. About half of the electrical outlets are burned up and non-functional. There is a hole under the tub and I can see the ground beneath the room. The room smelled like cigarette ashtray when I moved in. The ceiling has something oily from it. The door does not lock properly and sticks. The door is not sealed properly as daylight can be seen all around the door. The windows are covered with plywood. The caulking has been done with what looks like chocolate syrup. There are rodent droppings and Bug droppings everywhere until I cleaned them up. The refrigerator was frozen over and had to be defrosted before it could be used. There is no stove. The microwave was disgusting. The floor was dirty. The bed smelled like an ashtray and feces. No one should stay here ever.

Its an ok room for the price. Needs some work. Bathroom smells like piss. The door it hard to lock the deadbolt you have to lift up and push it in then lock it. Ac is up way to high I couldnt reach it. Has a working microwave and mini fridge. Has a small TV with a few cable channels. Like I said its an ok room for the price.

Because of the remodeling of the motel the employee at the motel let us preview the room Before committing to a rental. It does need a lot work but it was great for the price and the employee was extremely nice and helped us in everything that we needed. It is up the street for the water if you want to go fishing and about 25 minutes to 30 minutes from the island.

Worst motel Ive ever seen.Had to call police 4 times through 1 nite stay.Neighbors on each side fought all nite and police refused to do anything to stop it.Avoid this little dump at all cost.

The young man at front desk was very friendly and accommodating yes it’s a older motel but it’s clean and had no issues great affordable price also it’s close to Stores and Beach will be staying here every time I come to Corpus! Keep up the Good Work.

They just remodeled the room I was in as you can see in the pictures the remodeling all the rooms the same way really nice really peaceful quiet AC heater works good I call for Wi-Fi he turned it on real quick really good service I am most definitely going back great location everything is around you

Its been a great day today Ive been here for 3 weeks due to a house fire and I feel comfortable and at home they always check on me see if theres anything that I need they are very kind and polite people to deal with. This place was horrible. Not only did I wake up to bed bugs, the man at the front Desk wouldn’t allow me to contact the owner. They said they would refund me but who knows. I had two kids woken up, upset, With no place to go. They could have at least paid for a hotel else where for the night. Shocked on how this company was run.

Very clean facility. The staff are very friendly and were willing to work with me in regards to my pets staying at their hotel.I must add that not only was it clean, it was free of bugs.

Im sorry to say this is a very nasty place. Its a kind of a place to go when youre down on your luck and you dont have a lot of cash. But I take that back its expensive! A typical room only has a bed and one TV. On a positive note, it does have cable. But practically nothing else.

Definitely not a place Id wanna stay anytime soon or ever, if I can help it. Nothing more can be said. U dont even get room service for clean towels. Had to go to Walmart and buy my own towels. Sad. Ill give it one star, and even thats too many.

Plaza Motel has daily & weekly rentals. Some have microwave and refrigerator.No phones. No pool. All bills paid. Laundry facility on property. Nice mgmt.

Plaza Motel is an amazing place to stay. The management is awesome as well. They are very friendly. I recommend anyone and everyone to stay here. Nice clean rooms and comfortable beds.

Rooms clean tv kitchen nets ice box microwave but it really depends on what you there for @ 95 plus tax

Its a nice place, very affordable what I like about it is they keep the AC on so when you get in there its not hot

DO NOT STAY HERE THEY PUT US IN A ROOM OVER A SHED I DOUBT ITS LEGAL AND THEY HAVE BEDBUGS We left as soon as we saw the bedbug didnt ask for our money back.

The stay was great no roaches the restroom was awesome I loved it.

This is no place to stay. No toilet paper, towels, or wash clothes. Wouldnt recommend the place to cockroach.

It is a small hotel but very clean and complete, it has a Micro Refrigerator stove and towels, it is very close to the sea

Very bad, it smells musty and the man has the price in his mouth (one night $80 and the other $100) there is no folder in the room, apart from uncomfortable beds.
