Massage Envy

The massages and stretch sessions arw good and on their iwn woukd be a 5 star. However in Corpus there are very few appointmemts that can be booked online. I always have to be on a wait list. I also got lied to when signing up. The girl dis not give me the opportunity to read everyrhing. I asked her 3 different ways-- is this a contract, can i cancel at anytime, and this is month to month correct? Her anwers were no,no, and yes. When i tried to cancel i was not allowed

My mother tried to gift me a credit for a massage. Unfortunately I was not feeling well the day of and we called to see if my husband could go in my place. The customer service we received was not helpful and basically said we would have to pay in full if we did that. And we would lose our credit. Long story short, we were disappointed with the unwillingness to work with us. I understand policies are in place for a reason, but circumstances arise and a good business should be willing to help and accommodate their patrons. We will be cancelling my mother’s membership and looking elsewhere.

My experience (facial, full body massage) at this location was gifted by a friend. My service providers, Jessica and Kenny, were great. This was my first experience with body massage and Kenny was amazing - he really helped ease some hip and back pain I have had for years! I wish I lived close by because I would definitely become a regular. Desk/reception staff were also wonderful.

DOWNGRADED to a 1 star. I was giving them the benefit of the doubt that it was a billing mistake that would be fixed once I spoke to the manager. I called Sunday (20th) and was told manager was gone and would call me Monday. I called Monday (21st) and was told manager was unavailable and would call me before the end of the day. No call. I called today (22nd) and was informed that the manager was unavailable, but that I was the first on the list to call. No call.ORIGINAL post:I booked a 90 minute custom facial. My appointment time was at 2:30pm, and my facial was done at 3:30pm. Obviously, not the 90 minutes that I booked. The facial was good and so was the person who did my facial. When I checked out, I had my receipt emailed to me. FYI - I was not asked if I wanted to join. A few hours later, I was able to check the receipt. Despite being given only a 60 minute facial, I was charged for 90 minutes.

I asked for a full body massage with some focus on some areas. The therapist went ahead and worked only on the focus areas and totally neglected any other part. She was excited when the time was up. The pressure was very bad and weak its like a child giving a massage. I didnt feel great here at all. For the price you pay you expect a top massage but its nowhere near that.

Went to get a massage from Zac and mentioned I was a little hung over and tired. He refused to give me a massage saying it would release alcohol from my muscles or something absurd since massaging your muscles when you have no alcohol in your system will not magically create alcohol. They would not give me a refund either. What a bunch of crooks. Go somewhere else for a massage. I’m going to make a complaint to BBB. You can’t charge someone for a massage then just not do it because you don’t feel like it and not give a refund. Just mind blowing

My first experience with ME was at the San Antonio location. I had an amazing experience, the staff was extremely tentative and had me fill out a survey to understand fully what I needed and what to focus on. After this experience I wanted to get another massage here at the Corpus location. I was not asked to fill out a similar survey which I figured may be due to my preferences chosen at the time of booking. I specified where my issues where and that I liked deep pressure. My therapist wasn’t as tentative and didn’t have very strong pressure. I asked a few times for a deeper pressure due to the tension I was having in my muscles. She seemed annoyed at my asking and told me she wasn’t a deep pressure therapist. I left feeling worse than I came. I would have rather rescheduled than pay over $100 for something that did not work for me.

I am a Massage Envy Member and I am glad to learn that they have extended their hours past 5pm, however, I am frustrated that they are no longer open on Sundays. If you work FT and not lucky enough to get one of the limited after 5pm or Saturday appointments, you are out of luck. In addition, when attempting to schedule a facial, the Esthetician is off at 4pm and does not work weekends. Glad that I pay a monthly membership fee for services that I am extremely limited to utilize :(

Updated the stars due to the manager finally refunding the charge and correcting the issues with my account and notified me through a text message. I guess that’s the norm for 2021. I still won’t be signing another contract after this one is over.They keep charging my account without my permission. I keep getting told the manager will fix it but it never gets fixed. I just had to cancel my card after the 3rd charge so it would stop. The massages are ok but the walls are thin and you hear the conversations in the lobby. Makes it hard to relax. Would not recommend.

Great first time experience here! I was given a gift card and it was very easy to use! Shay did a wonderful job and everyone was very polite! The place was clean and relaxing, I was even given the member rate because it was my first time which was a happy surprise! Extras were offered but I didn’t feel pushed into buying anything which I appreciate a lot , thanks for the great experience!

Therapist are awesome. When you can get in! Joined for assisted stretching and facials/ peels. Rarely available! Tried transferring build up of $$$$$ credits. Was then told only 1 per month!!! Was told 1 per day. Now half my family will not receive my gift of credits. Still only 2 months to use all my credits $$$$$ or loose them. Still no services available that I joined for. What a trap🤨

My mom set up the appointment for me and then drove two and a half hours to watch my three kids so I could go to the massage. However, there was a mixup and I wasnt able to get the massage. They did not let me leave without making sure I was satisfied. They were only concerned with my relaxation and happiness. The manager, a very kind woman, set up a last minute facial for me and the woman who did my facial, Ashley (highly recommend her) was so kind to come in last minute. She did a wonderful job. Even the customers were awesome - one woman, witnessing my stress, paid for my facial out of the kindness of her heart. All around it was a spectacular experience and God blessed me through the people at Massage Envy.

Dont come here!! Sucks!! Got a membership for two years. I consistently got crappy massages from all locations in two states. Facials are great though. Their memberships are overpriced. They charge you for every little thing. To give unused massages as gifts theres a fee. If you cancel your membership anything unused expires in 60 days. If you have more credits than you can use in 60 days, you lose it. HORRIBLE!! I would never recommend this place. A huge money pit.

This place was amazing. My appointment was at 8:30pm and it was really relaxing going at dusk, and the fact there was almost no one else there was enjoyable. My masseuse was professional and polite, he answered all of my questions and gave some tips on stretching. The table was heated and the room dimly lit with calming music playing in the back ground. This being my first professional massage I went in not knowing what to expect, and I definitely wasnt dissapointed. The only unfortunate part is the pricing. I went in with a gift card, probably couldnt afford it any other way :(

The massage was good but it was not what was asked for since I was supposed to get special add ins. At the end of the massage I asked about it and the therapist said it wasnt listed. Well, they double checked and it was listed they just hadnt even seen it. I was very disappointed I didnt get the treatment I asked for because I needed the special attention. Nothing was offered to make up for the mistake, I would have appreciated a discount for getting the wrong massage services. I dont plan on going back as there is no incentive. I know I can find better.

Scheduled my appointment and was really looking forward to relaxing as i am 20 weeks pregnant and my back has been killing me. When i got there completed all the consent forms and when she took me back Rachel states oh are you pregnant? I advised her that i was just like stated on my consent form and visibly pregnant. She proceded to tell me that she is not prenatal certified and it would be against law to massage me. When we proceeded to the front the girl who scheduled appointment stated that it was my fault because i didnt inform her of my pregnancy when i clearly asked that when i called and prior to calling i filled out my questionnaire online of which i stated yet again i was expecting.I asked for manager and of course there wasnt one. No sooner then i was getting in my vehicle the girl who i was scheduled with got her stuff so she could leave so it made me think maybe they didnt want to do it or they just discriminated against me due to my pregnancy. Really upsetting and there was another customer in waiting area when she was argumentative with me. So disappointing!**Update***1/24/20. Raquel the manager reached out to me and took care of this situation.She went above and beyond and i am highly satisfied with the outcome she provided. She made sure i was satisfied with the outcome and made sure all my concerns were addressed. This proves that they care about their customers and the situations that occur in their shop. I assume it was a misunderstanding between the receptionist and myself however all has been taken care of! Thank you massage envy i will be returning.

Aside from being clinical rather than seductive, and the place is very cold from the a/c, it was very enjoyable and effective. I was totally relaxed while Emma gave a very pleasing massage. My eyes closed I started recalling every massage I had ever had before. She rubbed with her palms only like I requested. I even got a really good laugh at the end when I was told the introductory price was discounted. guess I wont go back because the price will be higher

Unfortunately we weren’t able to get massages and had to cancel our appointment, due to the fact that there was a misunderstanding regarding price. Spoke to Ruby on the phone to book our appointments and when arrived was told what we had been told was wrong and that “she was new” as the other staff laughed and was not polite. Needless to say- didn’t get the massages and won’t be returning again.

My massage therapist was very nice and helpful with teaching me a few stretches for my problematic area. Very professional and knowledgeable with his job. I will write down his name and edit here soon once I remember his name. The facility itself was ok. I only wish they had a private waiting room inside rather than out by the entrance. Overall it was a good experience. Hope to come visit again when I’m in town.

What do you expect when you book at the McDonalds of massages ? Placed on hold forever ,that happens a lot .. high pressure to become a member which involves giving them your bank account information and signing a contract , why not just offer massages at a reasonable price to who ever whenever ?? And if something happens to your financial life they hound you relentlessly on the phone for your new bank info,no care or concern for what your going through. Had a lot of massages in my life ,and these places are very generic in their decor and appearance of rooms..again the mcdonalds of massages .. and clearly hiring therapists straight out of school . But there ya have it..as a guy thats had a lot of massages I highly recommend you go somewhere else .

Massage is good and relaxing but the staff is horrible. They lie about contacting you and wont reschedule the appointment without a fee. They are not friendly at all. Dont sign up for a membership. Go to footy rooty. Better prices.

Signed the short contract and generally enjoyed the average massages. Gave the required discontining notice. Even took a picture of my informal notice. Yes noticed I was still being billed. Confronted them with my pic of the notice even including their counter in background. The jerk manager offered to refund half of their theft. Not worth fighting. Easy silutiob. JUST GO ANYWHERE ELSE.

I asked for a sports massage for my hip that was right from running. She basically did a full body and didn’t even get the area I asked for. The rest was fine which is why it wasn’t a 1 star. Really disappointed that it was a waste of recovery time.Then, as soon as i walked out, the person at the front immediately wanted to put me on a “wellness plan” and get me to sign up for a long term plan. Way too aggressive and trying to “up sale.”

I like going in for a massage. I dont think the contract was worth it for me. If I could do it over, I would just go in as needed instead. If you need more than one massage a month, its definitely cost efficient. It just doesnt fit my needs all the time.

Ive belonged to massage envy for at least 5 years. I find it to be very well worth the money. My membership started on Wisconsin and now I use it here. Am very thankful there is a local branch. Very clean and professional.

Very disappointed!! I have had a membership to ME for well over 2years. When I called to set up my appointment the massage therapist that was recommended was not good. Did not follow my instruction on what I wanted and I felt that was an hour I will never get back. May have to find another spa for my massages. 😒

They are always great here. Prices are reasonable especially if you become a member. They will always ask is tou want to add things, but arent pushy about it. And I have been able to get an appointment same day on a couple of occasions.

I went to massage envy in corpus christi. My massage therapist David did an amazing job. He paid good attention to the areas of my body that were more tense and made me feel very relaxed. I will be going back. Also love the smell of lavender that I left with.

The increase in prices would be justified if there were more consistent service provided. Also, the new tipping service was introduced without explanation of additional fees added to tip by debit or credit card.

Ive been going to this location for a year. The staff and massage therapist are awesome. Every time I have called to get an appt I can get in that day or the next day. The massages really helped me during my pregnancy.

I came in and had a one hour facial, skin care specialist Naomie acted very childish and unprofessional. Wanted to relax some and I could not because her hands smelled of marijuana and she was very loud

Called to make an appointment, whomever answered the phone just places you on hold without a greeting. Tweleve minutes later someone picked up just to ask if they could place me on hold. I explained that I was already on hold and they said that they needed to take care of the customer in front of them first. I was placed on hold 3 more minutes just to get hung up on. Calling another place with proper staffing.

Its not an hour massage more like a 40 minute. Wish they wouldnt talk so much during the massage. Otherwise, she was a good massage therapist.

A great therapeutic massage clinic. Ask and you shall receive. If you let them know what you want they will try thier best to get you what fits your needs.

I just moved in to town a couple months ago and started coming to this location but think it is terrible the facials Ive gotten are terrible. Every time I call to make an appointment I get placed on hold for more than 10 minutes. Seriously thinking about canceling my membership miss my old location.

I called to book an appointment and the lady immediately told me to stay on the line she will come back really quick, I had to wait 12 minutes with no response back. I hung up the line and booked an appointment in another place.

This was my first time going and all I can say is that the staff is very friendly and my masseuse was very professional (Josh). I recommend Massage Envy.

I had been with a back and neck crick. BECKY gave me a deep tissue massage and it helped. I will definitely go back and I totally recommend.
