Trees is a great venue. Ill admit that I always start with bad reviews and was second guessing whether or not we should come down here. Turns out any worries we have were completely unfounded. The staff we talked with were all cool. Door staff let us in quickly with no issues (we brought our 12 year old daughter with us and were worried how thatd go... totally fine by the way). We were there for Lockjaws Album release.Tips for a good experience would be to arrive a little early for easy-ish parking. We found a lot maybe a block or so away. We did get in line about 15 min early and it was hot so bring some water with you (gotta finish it BEFORE you get let in though). We bought tickets in advance and it was easy just getting scanned in. Line started moving right at 1 min before door opening so that was cool. And I guess just dont be rude or dumb around the staff and youll be fine. Ill think previous reviews about negative staff are likely people who broke obvious rules and dont want to he responsible for their actions. Maybe not, but all the staff we had interactions with were cool. We had a great time and will definitely be back if/when another act we want to see is performing there. Thanks Trees!
Went to see Amity Affliction, which is my favourite band and with the size of this venue, you get incredibly close to the stage. Its got signed guitars and paraphernalia from different bands decorating the walls which was awesome to check out before the show started. Security is also on top of things and step in when things got a little crazy. I would most definitely return for another show to this venue.
Trees is a great room for live music. Solid high stage made for good sightlines anywhere in the room. The lighting and sound quality were fantastic. Bar service was quick and capable. The smoking area is well maintained with security. They had a super cool VIP viewing area and the balcony was a solid spot. Huge thing for a southern venue was the air conditioning was in place and flowing through the show.
Great drinks and Mickey Avalon always great show so was Blake Banks. Awesome performances.
Warning! Your night is likely to get ruined if you come to this place. We were having a great time and then an older security lady came up and told me she was kicking me out. Wouldnt explain why. I hadnt done anything wrong. Apparently a woman claimed that I touched her, at a CROWDED VENUE. She wanted to fight me, but I ignored her. I beleive she went and complained and got me thrown out. The staff just BELEIVED her side of the story, with no witnesses, or even attempting to talk to me. SHE WAS THE AGGRESSOR.I spent hundreds on tickets, merch, and rounds of drinks for my friends. I was having a blast and couldnt wait to see my favorite band. What happened to Trees?? The bullies are running around unchecked. Its funny to read some of their replies to these reviews. Saying oh hey it just wasnt your day... they clearly dont care about negative experiences. They will probably reply to this now saying I was too intoxicated which is false. The management / security staff treat patrons unethically, and now after reading other reviews, and checking my credit card transactions, it looks like Ill be disputing some charges.Avoid this place if possible, and remember to sort by lowest, where you find the real reviews.
I really dig this venue. From the outside you dont get a sense of the space within. Its not a huge place, but any show Ive ever been to, it never has the feeling of being too overcrowded. Theres also a balcony area though Ive never been. Full bar, clean bathrooms (during the week at least), and a great stage.
Received a suspicious charge from my bank, which was declined, for over $7000 from Trees after going to this venue. I have reason to believe it was one of the rude bartenders using my debit card info, as the charge for my tab was fraudulently rounded up to the nearest dollar. Trees wont answer their phone and their machine says to leave a message, but hangs up before allowing me to do so.I wont be going here again, no matter how much Id like to see the artist.
Outstanding venue! Everything was exceptional!Best bathrooms!Coldest beer!Clint and his crew made everything perfect!
This venue is my new favorite, great size for an intimate show with the bands you love. One thing I noticed about this venue was the temperature, even fully immersed in the crowd I never got hot. You definitely didn’t have to question if their AC was on / working and there’s a huge overhead fan. A lot of venues these days are overcrowded and SO HOT but this one really did the damn thing. Looking forward to seeing many more shows here. There’s Parking a couple blocks away and it’s not outrageously priced like some lots.
Everyone working the Kossisko and Terror Jr. show last night was awesome. From the moment I walked in, to the second I left I felt valued. The show was great, and the sound was on point, and everything went so perfectly, and I thoroughly enjoyed every interaction I had with the staff. I didn’t know a show could be that much fun and I could attend alone but not feel out of place.Thank you so so much for making that happen. I’ll be back as many times as humanly possible.
We were at a concert and my 20 year old friend was holding my 24 year old friends beer and we all got kicked out for it. Waste of money and our drive
Small venue worth lots of history, interesting people, drink prices extremely reasonable, ticket prices equally reasonable. If theres a show you are interested in at this venue I definitely recommend going. Just make sure you plan your ride to Deep Ellum or get your parking situation planned out ahead of time!
Intimate venue that always feels nice and cool, no matter what the season. Friendly staff, speedy bartenders and competitive drink prices, Love the two-tier layout -- each level offers a very different experience. The parking nearby is reasonable and sufficient. This has become one of my favorite venues. Its clearly well managed and books some very worthwhile acts.
We have been to Trees for Many years but, its unfortunately in a bad location anymore. Paid parking is the safest option for concert goers or late-nighters. We had a great time at Trees, as always. But, if you go, pay for parking, LOCK UR VEHICLE AND BELONGINGS OUT OF SITE!! - due to late night surrounding venues. Visit good ole Trees, then LEAVE that area promptly. #SlowRoosevelt #scottminyard #UglyMustard #erictrent We LOVE these bands! They Rocked then and now!!!! 5☆
Awesome venue. Went to a show last week, a good amount of people who were there ended up sick afterwords. Maybe a little bit more sanitation needs to be done? Idk still a cool place tho
Two unforgettable nights hosted by Clint and Whitney couldn’t ask for more, the staff, the venue everything put together was out of this world. Anyone planning a special event whether it’s a wedding, a concert or anything at all I would highly recommend Trees Dallas. My wife and I were absolutely thrown back by their level of service and attention to detail!! Absolutely love this place and their owners!! They made our wedding celebration beyond our wildest imagination! Thank You
Venue is nice. Mosh pit on the ground floor and seating with tables on second floor. Went for the Taylor swift dance party which isn’t my demographic. All of the sixteen year olds who were there were actually very nice and polite which made the experience. Good job to those parents for raising such good kids.
There bartenders are very rude I order one long island ice tea from the bar I paid cash I ask the bartender for a lime he said not without a tip if the drink was any good to be honest i would have came back for another one and probably would have tipped but I didnt want to waste my money on a watered down drink due to an entilted bartender being humble will get the gratitude your looking for not with an entitled mindset which is very rude ✌️🗑️
Great time. Sound and lighting was good. I noticed people constantly picking up trash, so they try hard to keep it clean. A coke was $3 bucks... also the reason for 4 stars is that at the end of the concert, the set up for purchasing mercy was not good. We waited in line for 10 min then they came and told us to go to a different longer line. We just skipped out on purchasing anything because of this. A little tip to you and a note to myself, purchase during the show not after. Also happy that parking was $5.
Great venue, good sound but gets LOUD, bring ear protection
Iove this place. Great concerts, and not so large that its overwhelming
They were kind enough to host both our bachelorette/bachelor party as well as our magnificent wedding here! We had a blast the place was nothing short of amazing the staff the crew the owners all put a lot into making myself and my husbands weekend special. We couldn’t ask for a better host if your looking to have a wedding or party definitely contact them! They will not disappoint you! Thank you Whitney & Clint for everything you did to make our weekend unforgettable. We are forever greatful!
I took my 16 year old son here for BADBADNOTGOOD and we had a great time. A chill crowd and awesome vibe. We arrived early and I secured a table on the second level. My son, being 16, took a spot on the floor near the stage. I wasnt worried about him the entire night. I also wasnt envious. Great view from the second floor without all the elbows and crowded flesh. The band was spectacular and the sound rattled your bones, loud without being harsh and overbearing. The whole place throbbed on bass heavy parts. It was awesome. Staff were great as well, very friendly. Parking was inexpensive. We bought bottled water for $3 a bottle. Ignore the complaints on the other reviews. They worried me needlessly. No problems at all. Arrive early. Pick your spot. Enjoy! Were going back.
MUNICIPAL WASTE WAS AWESOME AT TREES 3.09.2024Ive seen many shows at Trees over the past two decades such as Stiff Little Fingers, Oxymoron, The Buzzcocks, X, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Locust, Fantomas, Soulfly, Morbid Angel, Screeching Weasel, The Slackers, Genitorters, The Dwarves, andvFelix Da Housecat. Theres plenty more I just cant remember all of them.
I LOVE this venue!! the stage is set up so that any show will an enjoyable experience. i’ll never forget seeing one of my favorite bands here, and there were maybe 30-40 of us in the crowd. it felt like so many more with how loud we were all singing! i owe this venue one of my very fondest memories
Great venue. Two floors offer a variety of viewing space. Acoustics were reasonably good. Great variety of young and old. Great overall experience.
Not a fan of this venue in the slightest. Bought tickets for take a break fest, had maybe been there an hour and a half maybe two hours MAX, and one of the female staff members, the ONLY female staff member I saw all night, had it out for my friends and I the second we walked up to the door. We were not intoxicated, not making a scene, not doing anything other than minding our own business the whole time we were there. She was heavily aggressive towards one of my friends and she then found her and I in the bathroom while we were simply trying to use the restroom, and made several very snarky remarks and when my friend spoke up she then decided to escort us outside. Incredibly unprofessional, and a waste of our money and time.
Nice size venue for concerts. I saw electric six and there was a little bit of seating for those who didnt want to stand. They were prompt on opening doors for the concert as well. Friendly staff
Food and service were amazing. Definitely would recommend for any occasion
Great venue! Superb sounds and great drinks!
Brah we were here for emo nite having a good time and my friend got kicked out for being drunk when he only drank 3 drinks. While we got taken out, some people outside was saying they got kicked out for giving her friend a drink when he was of drinking age. And then some else got pushed out but one of the security at the door and then cuzzed out by the security. This place is lame as hell for just taken peoples money and then kicking them out. Does not have a good vibe at all if they just kick people out.
Well, its the legendary Trees. Super fun place considering where it is these days. Deep Ellum has its ups and downs but one thing has remained constant and consistent. Trees. It was good to be back.I recommend taking the train out there. Avoid drinking/driving and its about $100 cheaper than ubering/parking and $10k cheaper than a DUI.
Great experience at Emo Night Tour, this venue seems to often have fun events/shows like that! Ticket and ID checks were quick and easy, drinks at the bar were good, clean space and in a good area with lots of restaurants and other neat places around. Minus a star for charging me for bottled water when there should be tap available for free, but otherwise was a really great spot!
Nice little venue. Everything was clean, including the bathrooms. I dont drink, just came for the music. Good sound and lighting. Pretty high price for things like water or soda.
Great venue for live music. Excellent location.
Loved it!! Best concert I ever attended
Went to see Kings X on 11-23-22 and had an awesome time. The staff was very friendly, bar tenders were great, and the sound was awesome! Highly recommend this historic club for an incredible concert experience.
Came in for emo nite a while back. It was aweosme experience! While starting my tab I went to the bartender that the mens room was out of tp. I was kinda expecting to get a negative reaction because they just opened their doors (trees). But quite the opposite the bartender was glad I brought that to his attention before it got loud and hectic.Note: if you gonna get drinks: its kinda hard of hearing even at the bar. I recommend typing your order on your phone to make things easier on yourself and especially the bartenders!!Remember dont forget to tip!
This is a great place to go for concerts! Dont believe the other reviews about parking we had no problem. The staff was very friendly and they greeted us at the door and also when the concert was over. Cant wait til the next concert at trees
I was so impressed!! As someone that has been in clubs from NY/NJ/CT/TN for years this is a venue that should be relished by the fans and bands alike. From the outside you have no idea what a beautiful venue awaits you. The stage is nicely elevated and is set so that all locations from the floor or from the spacious balcony have great site lines. I suspect some bands might find it a little small. The open floor expands as it moves away from the stage towards a large bar. Stairways on both sides of the bar lead to the balcony with high tops overlooking the floor and providing great views of the stage. Couches, along with another bar and bathrooms are on this level. But why do you come here, for great music and the sound in this venue was spectacular. Great separation allows the vocals and instruments to be heard, be good and loud, but not distorted beyond recognition. If you see a band playing here you like GO, you will not be disappointed. Staff seemed very friendly and professional.
Nice venue! The only con though was that the Merch booths were crowded towards the back near the restrooms, so you couldn’t tell if the line was for the restroom or for the Merch table. It made it inconvenient to get Merch or meet n greet the bands.
We went for the Nekrogoblikon concert and had VIP tickets. Last minute, they pushed the show back by three hours. We didn’t know that and arrived at the original scheduled time. Their website still reflected the original time and nothing was announced on social media. When we asked the staff about the VIP access area, the staff member aggressively told us that the show starts later. We stood there for less than two minutes looking at our emails to see if there was a change made. That same staff member marched up to us again cursing us out and telling us to leave immediately. This was my first experience at Trees, and I’ll never go back.
We went to see 10 years. I was impressed with the sound quality of the venue. Very little feedback and vocals were crystal clear. The atmosphere was really nice. There are two levels, balconies to enjoy the show, each floor had a bathroom which I can appreciate. If theres another band to see here that peaks my interest, well definitely be back.
My husband and I saw Sueco at Trees last night. It is a great venue for concerts. You can pretty much be anywhere in the place and have a up close view of the performers. The staff is amazing! Shout out to Howard behind the bar for making the night just that much better!!
Saw Mike Campbell and Dirty Knobs at Trees on Tuesday April 26. The nightclub was fun. Loved the layout. Bartender was great..no waiting in line. Cool security guys. Smoking area great. Everyone was super friendly. Ive been hitting bars since 1976..this was my favorite place ever!! Deep Ellum is the perfect setting for Trees!
When we looked at the photos online we did not realize that when we went there it was during Brunch hours and that is completely different than the picks we saw. We contemplated leaving bc it was very unique food that we werent sure we would like. Well we stayed and have brunch a try and I must say...overall it was extremely flavourful and delicious!! Im glad we chose to stay and open our pallets and try it!! The cheesy potatoes hash was my favorite!!! Must try it out!
This venue is one of my favorites! It’s so small and it has Trees inside! When artist play here I know it’s going to be a great time, the shows are always so much more personal and the sound is amazing. The have a bar in the back and the bartenders are very very nice! They also have an upstairs section but I have never been, I’ve always stayed downstairs.
Had the best time! EXCEPT for the incredibly rude employee. Ruined the whole night, honestly. The lady with the frizzy, long, blonde hair was very mean to my friends and I. Ive worked in customer service and I have NEVER taked to a customer in the way she spoke to us! I know the job is stressful but there is no need to yell at us like were stupid animals. Her harsh treatment ruined the night of my very good friend. Everyone else was great but I will not recommend this venue as long as she has employment here. It wouldnt surprise me if others have the same complaint as I do.
Its a legendary club for a reason.
So many good memories made at this place with Flickerstick and the Flickerstick family.
Just went there to see Hail the Sun yesterday. Absolute worst venue experience I’ve had.The stage is awkward, the sound setup was pretty awful. The main speakers were situated in a way so that they were pointed towards the back of the room, on the walls on either side of the stage, so if you were right up on the stage you could not hear the vocalist at all. Could hear perfectly fine from the back of the room, but from the stage it just sounded like instrumental music. Absolutely ruined my concert experience. The stage is also tiny, there are these annoying poles in the middle of the venue (painted to look like trees, of course, but I feel bad for anyone who got stuck behind a pole while trying to watch the concert), and the entire layout was just awkward. The bar is way bigger than it needs to be.Also, they charge $5 for a can of Red Bull. No alcohol, just red Bull. Pretty ridiculous. Every other venue I’ve been to charges like $2-3.
Nice small venue to see your favorite artists do what they do. All smoking is outside so that makes it a more pleasant experience. Go to their website and find a show that makes you want to dance and grab those tickets! Happy dancing.
Trees is an awesome venue - an intimate setting, killer sound and great visuals. Highly recommend you catch your fave band if the stop at Trees. The staff is cool & efficient.
This venue goes hard. Especially for smaller artists. Drinks are high and no umbrellas in the venue. Bags are allowed under a certain size.
Fantastic venue for a concert !! Just saw Kings X, and the sound was spot on. The staff was friendly and helpful as well. What a great place for a show, in the heart of Deep Ellum.
Its a great venue where i had a fantastic time and made memories that Ill treasure forever. Every staff member i encountered was very courteous and helpful and the place was clean. Not just clean for a bar, but actually clean. Minus one star because I hate it when I get we dont have all the stuff to make an old fashioned. Come on. If youre going to have a bar, stock it like a real bar.
This is the absolute best venue Ive ever played at. The staff were extremely professional and easy to work with. The sound system here is amazing, I dont believe my band has ever sounded better. It was a bit hard to load on/off since the stage is high and there is no ramp, but it was manageable with several hands, and the entire staff helped us load on/off. I hope to play this venue again soon!
Iconic deepellum live music venue. Great staff and the sound techs are topnotch. Saw the KingsX show 11-23-22 and it very much exceeded my expectations! Cant wait for the next show!
Great place! Had a lot of fun. Only reason its not 5 stars is because I felt like they should have more bartenders. The 2 they had working were good and nice but I just feel like they should have more working because it did take a long time to get a drink. Other than that its a great place to see your favorite band!
Every show I have went to here was great. The staff isnt pushy and the drinks are good. This is A great venue to catch A show at. O plan on making many more visits to thus joint. The last show featuring Curren$y was definitely A memorable one. The sound system complimented the production very well.
I enjoyed this venue for Emo Night. The setup was accessible and pretty clean. Audio sounded good, and Im glad they allowed crowd participation!
Great venue, great show. Just saw Norma Jean and Emery. I will say though, you have shameful security. I watched your short hair, red head security guard assault a patron while they were in a mosh pit. Not ask to leave, but assault this man. Tackle and choke hold on the ground. This is unacceptable trees. As a guest, this made me scared to have fun. You should send that power tripping joke of a security guard to anger management. This was a hardcore show and it was a mosh pit. Grow up and learn what that means. If you can’t handle the pit, then stay out. Regardless, get rid of that security guard so your paying patrons are safe.
Nonpoint, Hed PE, &Dropout Kings were awesome.
My husband and I loved the venue! We’re new to Dallas so this was our first time. Concerts in small venues is life changing though. The staff at Trees were all very professional and nice. Thank you Howard for making it happen for us to have such great reserved seating on a last minute basis. The experience was awesome! We are looking forward to more shows at Trees so we can return. Checking this place out is a must if you haven’t been.
Always super cool staff! The sound is typically pretty good for such a small venue, and that typically makes for a more intimate show. Have seen many bands play here, but I think the best show was Dark Tranquility in 2016. They blew my mind!! Have actually even worked backstage here a couple times. 👍
I had one of the best experiences in this venue last for the Willow concert. Shoutout to Dustin and Serena who not only helped me figure out the app to pull up my tickets but also checked up on me after the show. This was truly the most welcoming experience Ive ever had at a venue, I felt safe and had such a great night.
Great venue! The staff is really friendly for the most part. The sound system is AMAZING, and the energy is always great! Definitely dont miss an opportunity to see your favorite artist or band here!
Cool atmosphere and green lighting to match the tree props in the building. They should rename it to the Forest. Its perfect for when symphonic bands or any fantasy themed metal bands play
Good venue. Bathrooms are generally clean. Prices are okay for water & drinks. Nothing outrageous compared to any other music venue. Ive seen some great acts with really different music & the sound is always good. Tickets are usually only standing room. If youre interested in a band coming here dont hesitate to get tickets.
Amazing historical location for concerts.
Great venue - I was greeted at the door by a bouncer named Nello who was very welcoming and friendly, and then had a great time dancing with a couple of strangers to a metal band... But then the barista was rude to me, and thats a big part of feeling welcome, you know? Also, he charged me for water, and I dont remember the sum, but I do remember getting mad about how much he charged me for what should have been free (at-least, in most bars Ive been to, if you want a glass of water you just get it, no questions asked.)My opinion goes back to positive, however, since the owner of the bar reached out to me and apologized after reading my review. Thats... That sort of details make one want to go back, you know?
Fantastic place to enjoy live music great people and good prices on liquor and great looking ladies.
Awesome venue! Saw In Hearts Wake last night and it was my first time at Trees. Sound is amazing, not too booming loud. Staff is friendly, only complaint I have is no free water like some clubs have, which is important for metal concerts, but 3 bucks is one of the more reasonable prices Ive seen from some of these clubs. By far one of the coolest values Ive been to and will be back in the future
Great venue. Clean environment. Spacious smoking area outside. Couldnt quite understand why you all dont carry Cognac products. Attended a show to see my nephew perform.
Went to see Sueco with a friend.. we had a good time. It’s a great venue for an intimate experience. But I really came here to say that the bartender, Rusty, is awesome. Top notch. Rusty, you’re an excellent bartender (don’t ever change!), and please come see us in FTW!
Awesome venue, great bartenders. $6.25 mixed drinks on a Friday night, pretty good!$15 cash parking north of the venue, Deep Ellum Parking signs direct you towards it. Excited to come back!
Overall I like this venue. Good layout. Attentive bar keeps. Definitely LOUD. Not sure whats up with the sound system. I am not impaired & I honestly struggled to understand lyrics for both bands-and I knew the songs!
Awesome! I saw Between the Buried and me here. The venue was very small and I was very close to the band the whole time. there were options upstairs to sit in chairs and couches and watch, but I stayed in the pit. Best venue for a metal show I have ever been to!
Went for a concert. The acoustics of the room/eq done by the sound guys was fantastic. Most metal shows do not sound that great. They sound good at best. So far Id have to say this venue had better sound quality than any venue Ive been at.
Saw Stars last night at my first time at Trees and its pretty safe to say this is my new favorite venue in Dallas. Great staff, great environment, and great sound. Parking wasnt bad, but I imagine its not great on the weekends. The bar was reasonably priced and the bathrooms were spotless.
Trees is a lot of fun. My only point of contention is there was no ramp to exit the venue for those of us with mobility issues. I stayed a little longer than expected and the venue routed me out the side door. It was challenging to lift my walker up and out while holding the heavy door. Its a great venue though and the band tonight, British Lion, was fantastic!
Awesome smaller venue! Saw three bands and the sound was great for all three! Definitely has a great sub sound! The tom rooms almost sounded like a bass drum! Spectacular view from the upper level!
Security was awful. The singer almost got pulled into the crowd, they did a fake out getting peoples hopes up that wed see her go in at least, and then they blamed the group that helped keep her up as the reason why we wouldnt see her after the show.Im not a fan of leaving negative reviews but I genuinely feel if you can see your artist anywhere else you should!
Local live music. What else do you want?
Wonderful venue for seeing music. I didnt make any drink purchases but never saw anyone displeased at the bar.
This venue would be amazing if they didnt blind you with the crowd light every 5 seconds
Trees is a nice looking venue and has some great artist play here, but their staff make me hate coming here. Their drinks can be expensive, and the bartenders and other staff (minus the really nice girl at the ticket counter) always act like its a chore to help you, even when its slow, and have been pretty rude at times. There arent any water fountains so if you do want water you have to buy a bottle from the bar. All in all not my favorite place to see a show, mainly because its overpriced with a staff that act like it would kill them to be nice.
Great venue! Awesome staff and very polite. It was first time there. I was there to photograph an artists set for a concert. The vibe was right. Parking was aggravating, but thats to be expected in that area. Definitely not a deal breaker tho.
The best seating in the place is upstairs and is rarely available. Instead for a $16.50 cover charge, patrons are crowded onto a dance floor with only limited seating available. If you a looking for an enjoyable experience, try another venue!
🔥🔥🔥 Great views from everywhere in the venue. Fantastic sound setup. The bar was stocked and decently priced, and theres even a little outdoor area to chill. Love this spot, and its right in the heart of Deep Ellum.
Trees is one of the best small concert venues in Dallas. You can really get up close to the bands playing on stage right in front of you. The bar is well stocked and their beer selection is really nice. Staff are all friendly and helpful. It does get a bit loud, but duh concert venue. The VIP area above the bar looks nice, but I havent been in.
My favorite place to play in Dallas! Great atmosphere, good size stage, staff is on top of things, hospitality is always great and location is right in the middle of Deep Ellum so theres plenty to see, eat, drink and explore. Cant wait to perform there again!
Great venue for music. Very classy, perfect size for intimate music experiences where you feel close to the performer. Couches on top are convenient if you show up early and want to chill with a group.
Great venue with personal feel. No metal detectors or other unnecessary burdens. They rent the parking in the back so you do have to pay ($5) but thats fine for Deep Ellum. The main complaint I have are the thick beams on stage that have a pretty big impact on your view from the sides.
Saw Buckcherry & The LACS here last Tuesday night and had a fantastic time! Loved the show and was genuinely impressed by The LACS. I am quite easily amused, but not easily impressed, especially when it comes to music. And though I dont remember his name, my bartender was awesome as well!A GREAT NIGHT ALL AROUND!!!
Had a great time at the Fuel show on 08-08-17. It was a great show and hope they come back. This was our first time at Trees and overall it was a good time other than the one bartender who was rude. I used a different bartender for the rest of the evening. Problem solved. It was chilly inside the venue but I would prefer that over the heat outside for sure. Overall a good time was had by my wife and myself. Enjoyed the show for sure!
Using someone elses photo because its the same guy. But I came here for a show and that was great, but I made it known to this guy I dont drink often and ordered something sweet. He made my drink and I handed him my card to pay and he then informed me its a 10$ tab minimum, and he has to keep my card. The drink was $7.48. I then asked what is the cheapest option to get me to the 10$ mark, and the only option was another $7.48 cocktail drink - despite being shots and 3$ waterbottles. How can you have a minimum ten dollar tab when nothing equals to that - Im pretty sure he was ripping me off because he knew I didnt know what to order. Anyways, ended up spending 16$on drinks when I just wanted one to have for the experience, and I felt scammed and it put a sour taste in my mouth. Yall should have a sign stating the tab minimum as well as prices of drinks.
Medium sized bar but a roomy establishment. They try to cater to musical tastes for everyone. Everytime we check their calender of events they always have some band that fits to different tastes. One of the nights we were there it got fairly crowded but didnt feel packed at all. Drink prices were decent and no one got crazy. The people there range from young to old and it was very comfortable even at a hard-rock show.
Great venue for live music. The sound is great. The stage is also high enough that it is easy to see the band from any place in the club. The staff are friendly and easy going and the security is not overbearing.
Ive had so many great times at Trees from seeing Nirvana to seeing my current favorite band Highly Suspect in October 2016. The bartenders, door staff, and owners are are great people. Of course, the sound is good as well. Great live music venue! Keep it up!
Its a great venue that gets really good acts. Most recently, Ive been there to see Health, and Watsky. In both cases the security was good, and the show was excellent. The restrooms are kind of small and not at all private, though. And with as loud as it is, its totally impossible to order drinks. They should have a drink ordering app or something. Which are basically my only complaint.
Saw Cannibal Corpse, Power Trip and Gatecreeper here with a gang of my bros. Excellent venue, good selection and prices on drinks, and helpful (but not the friendliest) staff. Will definitely be seeing more live gigs here in the future!
Came to this club for All Kanye Everything and it was awesome! Love that they have inside balconies and lots of space for dancing. Kind of disappointed that I missed the chair brawl after the show, still recommend this club to locals and tourists!
Bought tickets to bad bunny everything dj and was having the time of my life untill a bar tender decided to kick our group out bc we weren’t tipping on every round of shots. I would have tipped at the end of the night for sure but he was just so rude and had even mentioned on our first round that us not tipping good enough is gonna get us kicked out but we just thought he wasnt serious. Decided to record the situation and he proceeded to hit my phone. Also spoke to other workers about the situation and said we had to go cause the bartender said so. Wish i could post videos on here but a photo of the old man on a power trip will do, if u go here just be aware of this guy.
This is a pretty dope spot for live concerts. They have a variety of people of all music genres that play here. The last time I was here was to see Hiatus Kaiyote and they were awesome-sauce! I even got a chance to sit down upstairs at one of their bar stools over looking the crowd. There isnt much seating so its basically standing room only. I was lucky last time. The Internet I believe is playing here in Oct so I must grab my ticket ASAP!
Trees is a great venue of you enjoy getting up close and personal with up and coming artists. Ive seen just a about every genre along the way and the staging is always unique as the artists themselves. Sound is typically great but some artists find ways to screw up a perfect scenario. Drinks are pricey but strong. Security has their act together and keeps a keep eye of whats important while overlooking just enough to make a night enjoyable. The venue has aged gracefully.
Classic Deep Ellum spot. A lot of artists have been here to perform. They have a bottom level spot and and upper level situated above the main bar downstairs. It makes for a little bit nicer view if youre not feeling too crazy about being right in front of the action. As it goes for smaller venues, the excitement and engagement from the crowd is up there! Bar has some good domestic and import options as well as cocktails I think.
If you see a band you love playing at Trees, you wont be disappointed. This venue is small but the stage is set in perfect spot and raised off the ground . The bar is a giant U shape placed in the back, so theres plenty of real estate to order a drink.
Small location but. Nice venue for seeing smaller concerts and allows you to get very close to performers. Limited seating.
Great local small concert venue. Great seats are avaliable for free up stairs, if you get there early enough. Drink prices are reasonable. Staff is friendly.
Trees is awesome! Love the multiple bars and balcony. Bathrooms are clean and stocked. One of the classier music venues Ive been to. And it doesnt hurt that its in Deep Ellum, so theres plenty to do before or after the show.
This is one of the worst live music venues in Dallas. Im a music lover. Ive seen many shows at Trees for years. The Trees experience is varied. Decent to bad. And now Ill never go back.Patrons get treated horribly. The staff and bartenders are rude and downright hostile. You are denied re-entry once you buy tickets and enter. Which is NOT stated on the ticket nor visible anywhere at the door. Once they have your money, they treat you like garbage.High priced, low alcohol drinks are typical for any bar. Trees is no different. So they add a $10min tab, cant buy one drink and close. If you ask for tap water they demand $3 for a bottle, and they keep the cap! You have to walk around with an open bottle of water!! Ridiculous. The layout is tiny and clumsy packed with 100s of people climbing over each other. You have to push through 100s of crammed humans to get to a bathroom or outside. Theres just no polite way of doing that. With the giant obstructing poles that Ive grown to love. And the sound? Loud, bad and just amateur at some shows. Every music hall in Dallas can top these guys on Sound Engineering.Any music venue in Dallas is far better than here. In the interest of supporting artists you love, then your time and money is better spent seeing them anywhere else. Dallas and abroad.
Always a great place to see a general admission show. Sound and lighting always on point and the staff rules, especially at the box office getting in. No long line.
Its an oldie but still always a goodie!!!Keep on Rockin🤘🔥😎
Love this venue! Not to big not too small great sound quality... Has amazing selection of Artist that perform everyone from the Wailers to Talib Kweli to BadBadNotGood the staff is pretty laid back but drinks are kinda pricey... The upstairs is pretty chill if dont want to be crowded out... And the BIG ASS Fan really helps with air flow.... It like a smaller scale Bomb Factory but with much better acoustics for sound.
We have a great time every time we come to Trees. The venue has a great sound system for listening to the artists, bars both upstairs and down staffed with friendly people, and plenty of good sightlines even if you arent right up front. We especially liked the couches upstairs as my wife has difficulty standing for hours. They dont serve food but there are great restaurants like IdleRye, Pecan Lodge, and Independent Bar and Grill nearby
I have been going here for years. I’ve seen lots of bands here. They have a huge gated parking lot behind the venue but you must get there early to get a space.
My favorite venue in Deep Ellum! Always hosts metal bands that interest me. Place is a little more intimate, not too large, and the sound is very good. Nice view of stage from standing floor or 2nd level seating. Big names have played here.
