This is the place to be. For everyone. I work in the medical field so coming here and going for the full experience of all the saunas, the hot tubs, pool, and Swedish massage. My body definitely felt loved. My back pain is also gone after that amazing massage. The food at the restaurant was warm and delicious, authentic Korean. I wished I lived in Dallas so I could visit often but it was one of many, and I look forward to coming back.
I wish this review was not 1 star! I have not been here since 2017 as I moved to San Antonio. I was so exited to bring my adult daughter and my granddaughter here. I was SHOCKED to see the conditions of the pool area. (Which was a big reason we came) They do not advertise that the kiddy area, slide, and lazy river are PERMANENTLY CLOSED!!!! The water was green/cloudy a lot of jets did not work, the hot tub had a foamy looking liquid on top of the water, and the pool tiles/decking were dirty. Everything about the pool was run down and dirty.I wish there would have been a way to turn around and leave after seeing the pool area…so disappointed and I don’t think I will ever come back. The chairs in the media room were worn out and torn. The poolside restaurant and swim up bar are no longer open. None of the steam saunas in the locker room are open anymore either.Kind Spa should close the pool area and focus on the sauna. The pool is a joke and I’m no sure how they’re even allowed to keep it open under those conditions.
King Spa & Sauna is a relaxing place to get away in Dallas. You pay $50 and have access to all the relaxation rooms and pool. Upon entering, you get a wristband that unlocks your locker in the changing room and is also how you pay for food, drinks at the pool bar, or massages. Before entering the locker room, you are given shorts and a T-shirt to wear in the coed relaxation rooms, I believe there close to 10 in all- from Ice Room, to Salt to Oxygen rooms. In the separate male and female locker rooms, there are hot tubs and saunas. You are fully naked in this section, clothes are not allowed. The provide little towels so you can cover up. Some cultures are most used to this type of experience of being naked. Once you get over the anxiety, it is quite relaxing. There is a normal hot tub, an extra hot one, and an herbal one. There is also a cold bath and a sauna and steam sauna all in one big space. You shower before entering the pools. And if you want a massage or body scrub, those are in a sectioned off area at the back. I got a scrub the first time I was there and it’s kind of a massage where they scrape off dead skin cells and rub soap on your skin with rough cloths. Kind of painful but felt good after. I go between the relaxation rooms and the hot tubs. My favorite room is the Hinoki Cypress-Wood Cube room where you lay on thousands of little wooden cubes. I enjoy spending a couple hours here clearing my mind.
I love King Spa. I lived in Dallas years ago when it first opened and now I have moved several hours away so its a treat when I visit.I find it a great space to enjoy solo meditation time while sitting in their different healing rooms. They have massage services that I indulge in, amazing Korean food, and a luxurious atmosphere. It can be a good place to spend the day solo or with friends. After leaving you feel fresh and rejuvenated. I highly recommend this place. A day pass can literally have you here as day, for hours.
King Spa and Sauna Restaurant is a fantastic place to enjoy delicious Korean food. Their beef soup is simply amazing—rich and flavorful with tender pieces of beef that melt in your mouth. The galbi is another standout, perfectly marinated and grilled to perfection, offering a delightful mix of sweet and savory flavors. If you’re in the mood for something spicy, the spicy beef soup is a real treat. It has just the right amount of heat to make it exciting without overpowering the deep, rich flavors of the broth.Overall, every dish I’ve tried here has been top-notch. The quality of the food and the comforting, hearty flavors make it a perfect spot for a satisfying meal, especially after enjoying the relaxing spa services. King Spa and Sauna Restaurant is a must-visit for anyone who loves great Korean cuisine!
Its sad to see this spot go downhill. Prior to covid, it was maintained and clean and the price was $25. Well, now it is outdated and dirty. I decided to try them out because it was advertised on facebook as newly renovated which would make sense as to why they charge $50. However, the pools were dirty. I had to speak to the manager (Hispanic guy) who was rude and nonchalant about my concerns so needless to say I will stick to spa castle.
I haven’t been here in a while. I used to come frequently, but be careful coming here. The spa waters seem fine, but the water park area or the main co-Ed pool area is still trash. Now, they put way too much chemical in the water and it can make you sick. A friend and I went and we sat in the jacuzzi and turned on the jets we instantly started coughing and sneezing, and it was hard to breathe, and I looked down and my swimsuit changed colors. I just went to Spa Castle 4 days prior and nothing happened with my swimsuit, came here to King Spa came out with a totally different colored swimsuit, and they basically told me they’d reimburse the swimsuit up to only $40, and they don’t know what has been happening with their pool cleaner guy and his chemicals for the pool. They also basically told me I have no weight to hold a case with the issue. My swimsuit was clearly blue now look! And the chemical risk on your health. I tried to keep from writing this review but they aren’t taking it seriously, and it’s been a month. Someone will get sick
Okay so listen - this place is cool. This was my first time ever going to a Korean day spa like this. The individual saunas are all really neat, and the entire facility is well kept. The food was excellent.Im kind of a big girl, and my ONLY complaint is that they make you wear this uniform while youre in there, and mine was a little snug. But honestly, thats on me. I was surprised they had something big enough.I really wanted to get a full scrub but they were booked up for the day when I went to ask (around noon). They were not, however, completely booked for massages, so I got a massage. This was, hands down, the BEST massage Ive ever had in my life. I wish I remembered the guys name because Id share it - but he was great.I also wish the water park was still open, because this would be an amazing amenity to be able to bring my kids and husband to while Im at the spa, but I would image the water and chemical bill is probably exorbitant and thats why they closed it. Who knows. At any rate, we had a great day, and will definitely go back.
Dont let the lack of stars scare you. The food was amazing, and they have a great variety of saunas. However, their prices have gone up and continue to do so yet half of the pool area is shut off and the hot tubs are disgusting. I was scared to even get in. The pool massage area had a slimy green orange film around it and brown bubbles with half a third of the water massage machines broken. Other than the pool, id say the experience was a solid 9/10 and I even heard great things about the bathing area if youre up to the challenge.
Great concept and at one point might have been great place. But obviously years have taken a toll on the facility. Many things are broken and non functional. They used to give towels but I guess that time has passed and modern people of today don’t need them.Food was really good and yummy. My wife had a full body scrub and absolutely loved it.Overall we felt that it could have been so much better if they just take care of the place.
We spend $40 per adult to enter this huge place. You get a uniform (shirt and short) and a key to a designated locker. Change into a uniform or go naked. If naked, you walk to the hot tubs area. If uniform, you go the sauna rooms. We started with the hot tubs. Somewhat uncomfortable to see all naked people, but we must follow the rules. Then we checked out all sauna rooms. I ended up with Pyramid room. It is not as hot as Fire room and you can lay down while allowing your body to sweat and detox. Oxygen room is great for napping after that. All rooms were clean and have relaxing moods around. After visiting this place, I understand why Korean people love spending time at spas.
The spa itself is good. The massage rooms and other businesses connected with the Spa are great. The only thing that is really lacking is the personal attention from the front door to the exit.🤬 We had a very rude experience with the security guard that is hired through an outside company spoke to my wife and I as if we were children
This spa facility was nice and relaxing. I enjoyed my first time experience, but I was not a big fan of having to reuse the spa uniforms; they were a little worn out…but they did fit nice! The women’s locker room was very clean. I was concerned about the shower areas having bar soaps for public use, but thankfully they did also have liquid soap dispensers. I would go again now that I know what to expect.
Loved it. Great selection of hot and cold spaces. Super good Korean food. Taking 1 star off because the hydrotherapy faucets were not consistently working. Otherwise super clean and nice people running the place!
When you hear spa you think of a quiet environment, pool jets or just a place to get away from reality.looking in from the outside into the lobby, the aesthetics looked so great and promising. But as we walk in and experience the amenities they were basically nonexistent.pooljets, majority of it are not working.pool looked very murky and stained onto the walls of the pools.there is a waterpark section but it was closed.coming in to relax in the lobby the majority of the recilners are broken, they dont enforce to keep a quiet environment and poor strategic construction of the theater room. 2 reasons: they built it next to the recliners so everytime the door opens you hear the loud sound of the movie. However there are some good things about the place, the food was delicious and the drinks were pretty good too. There is a nde pool for each genders all seperated for each. I guess the movie theatre is also a cool addition but not very well thought of and considering it is a spa, it kind of contradicts the environment a bit.
It was good first time going here. It was a nice relaxing experience. I came during the week in the middle of the day. It was pretty empty. Hot tubs and pools were all nude. It was not overwhelming and everyone just keeps to themselves. The saunas were fun to try and find your favorites. The water park area could be cleaner and better but it was ok. Not a bad overall experience. Wouldn’t mind coming back again.
I went here for a professional massage, but safe to say I will never be back. I had quite possibly the worst experience for a massage in my life with the shorter and bigger male therapist.. He was extremely unprofessional and unsanitary, constantly making weird noises like he had a very congested nose and going in and out of the room. I think the most outrageous part of my experience was the fact that I can hear him EATING during my service. I have never felt so disgusted in my life. I also felt no privacy considering the door was left wide open for everyone passing by to see. It was baffling that he asked for a tip in a demanding tone. Tips are left when services are exceptional not because you feel obligated to receive them. I would love to give this place another try, but it’s scary to think that the other masseuses may be like this one as well. My takeaway from this experience is to avoid this particular masseuse.
I highly recommend this establishment and believe we need more places like this across America. However, I am giving it 1 star due to my initial experience upon entering the spa. The security guard had a rude and disrespectful , overly confrontational demeanor, which did not make me feel safe or respected. When I asked about bringing a small bag of tea leaves inside for my stomach pain, I was met with disrespect and felt berated.I came to the spa to relax, not to be treated this way. I believe the staff and security guards could benefit from using the bathhouse and saunas themselves to create a more inviting atmosphere that is easy on guests nervous systems. Not everything needs to be taken so seriously. Fortunately, Im here for the baths!
Its a really good experience to try at least once. A few areas such as the pool werent as clean as I would like. The staff was helpful and kind while checking in and out.The cafeteria area has decent food. Definitely overpriced for what it was, but I expected that. The staff in the food area were not friendly or helpful though, the customer service was definitely lacking there.
Nice employees, clean space but some amenities are not working.( kids pool, jets in the regular pool) People dont have respect and understand this place is for recharging and relaxing. People use this place as a get together to party (pool) and drink 🍸. Foods are pricey and two fruit shakes costs me $19. I just wish they would reinforce the quiet places so that people can enjoy the establishment.
Im honestly extremely disappointed the experience we had here. The front staff were not inviting at all, this was our first time here and when I told them it was our first time here, there was no guidance for anything. We brushed that off, and figured out our way around, we found the pools and the pool closest to the bar was warm but i noticed a lot of trash floating around in the pool. So we went to the other pool closest to the karaoke room, tiles were broken off of the pool, a yellow ring went around the entire pool, the pool was cloudy and gross, there was mold growing in some places that we saw, we got out and never went back in lol. We decided to would check out the rest of the facility and we used the showers to wash off, theres bars of soap laying around that have been used by multiple people 🙃 the shower I got in, the bar was wet and soapy from someone previously using it... we spent $100 on a Saturday, so the money was not worth it at all. We heard such great things about this place so we were very underwhelmed by the experience. Not to mention, the quiet places, they dont monitor, there were people talking on their phones while we were trying to relax and nothing was done. We personally wont be back. 😊
To be honest, I’m gonna get straight to the point… the facility appears to not treat the water/ tubs. it was really gross. And the attraction has definitely turned to Karen times ten. Honestly it just didn’t feel authentic Clean, nor a place that you can relax especially when there’s armed security walking through out the facility while you’re trying to relax. At this point I feel like the health department needs to step in and check out that water. They’re not treating the saunas, I just left and I feel itchy. It’s giving Do better!
Amazing time here! I visited Dallas, TX specifically to have an experience at this day spa on my birthday, and it didnt disappoint (the first day was so nice that I came back the next day!). The admission fee is reasonable, the food tastes great (get the vegetable bowl with egg and beef!), the saunas are a relaxing experience, and the baths are incredibly soothing. On my second day, my mom and I got a good quality acupressure massage, and later my mom received the body scrub plus massage which she really enjoyed. Overall, if youre around the area, I definitely think King Spa is worth your time and investment.
The spa was, in general, nice, but if this is your first time, beware as nobody explained anything to us. Walked in, and the amount owed was automatically pulled up before we got to the counter, and there was no acknowledgment if we knew what to do. Everything was confusing, and when asked staff questions, the responses were curt as if we should already know this information. The food was really good, but the spa itself did not feel spaced out well as the relaxation areas were very close to well lit areas and the entrance, which made it noisy even on a slower day. While my experience was an all over nice one, I probably wont be back due to the way staff interacted with us. If you are an experienced spa goer, you will be fine, but for the price, asking one question or saying literally anything upon someones arrival will go a long way.
I went 10+ years ago before the new Waterpark. I was scared of the new posts that were saying this place has gone downhill.I took my father in law and chanced it. Honestly - is the same old experience I loved and was hoping for. More expensive? Yes.It was disappointing to see the new additions not be in use and closed off. Part of the waterpark pool with massage jets was working and I did use them, but the main part was where I spent my time.Def go and dont be scared!
First and last time at Kings Spa Dallas. The staff gave us no direction as it was our first time there, so we figured it out on our own. Not welcoming at all, all through out. The food we ordered was underwhelming and actually disturbed my stomach. The saunas were pretty decent, but some had terrible old smells to it. The lounge area with the lazy boy seats literally was the only part that was enjoyed. Only stayed for an hour. $143 was not worth the experience.
This happened a couple few years back, I know im pretty late to make this review but I needed time to adjust. I was about 8-9 when I was taken to this spa with my friend, not knowing anything that I was entering a nude suana. My friend said it was just pool/water park, and I was so excited. We arrived and my friend was a little nervous for the sign up sheet because I wasnt with my legal guardian . But without questions her mom signed me in. First thing I notice is the place is very nice and peaceful and I thought it was really cool. After swimming we head to the locker room. Something catched eye of how much nude was in this place. The young girl I was I didnt think it wasnt really bad because well its a lockeroom. Her mom mentioning to take showers before going I pleaded, but then I notice you couldnt have your bathing suit on. I was so confused, I stopped before heading in thinking this isnt right. Her mom basically giving me an option to sit in this locker room with just strangers alone or going in completely nude with grown adults. I wanted to go with my friend so I ended up heading inside. I was so uncomfortable and unprepared that I had to be nude. The place is nice, but I think the place should of enforced a more powerful policy for people under 18 allowed in. Im now 14 almost 15, still young and left with a horrible experience, lack of trust with adults.
This is really a treat you need to experience. You will have a busy but relaxing day. Large parking. Pack your bag as if yr going to the beach or pool party. Pay the entry fee in the foyer, get yr key for yr locker /scan bracelet. Upon entry to the main building (where all the fun is) remove shoes, the concierge will give you King Spa clothes. There are about 9 sauna rooms to enter & relax (I take my towel to lay on - spa has clean towels too). Swimming pool (you need your own swim suit) jet sprays, an outdoor patio area to get some sun, more lockers by swimming pool, has hair dryer, large mirrors, swim suit wringer machine, shower area (this place has lots of showers). A mini movie theater & a quiet area to snooze too! Wifi, a small food plaza, massage, body scrubs. Staff is helpful if you are lost or need direction to a spa or anywhere else. The locker room area has 4 spas is very relaxing. 1 cold water spa, 3 herb tea hot & warm tubs, lots showers (you can bring your own scrubby brush if you want). 💆 Hope this helped.
Returned to kingspa after years of being away. I just say, my funky mood was almost immediately LIFTED as soon as I walked in the door. I booked an aroma ceremony massage and it was BEYOND my expectations. 90 minutes and money well spent. A whole body scrub, a buffing (if you will), facial and scalp massage with shampoo and conditioner. I was elated and on cloud 1000. My therapist, Amy, was wonderful. I arrived about 11am (crowd hadnt arrived yet) and thoroughly enjoyed my experience. I stayed until about 6pm. Staff was most pleasant. Please do yourself a favor and go.
My Car was broken into in parking lot. 4 staff members were laughing as they were watching the recorded video of my car broken into. The car that broke into my car was sitting in the parking lot waiting for their victim. The security guard on duty mentioned no one patrols the parking lot. There is a big sign in the lobby that says do not leave items in car.. obviously this happens a lot and they know about it, and choose not to patrol the parking lot. Will never go there again, I hope you dont either. Car that broke in had paper tags...= untraceable
So relaxing better to go without kids lol. Water park was closed so the kids were kinda sad. The saunas are relaxing and clean but didnt get to try many of them. Everyone is required to shower before entering the baths or saunas in uniform so very clean. Temps on the hot tubs were ok. Wish they were a little hotter. Drink and food prices are high but expected. American food place was closed. Was charged for drinks we didnt buy gotta wait three days for a refund. Was supposed to be my mothers day gift I had the least amount of fun and relaxation but thats cause I had my daughter with me. Ill make sure to come back again when I have a sitter and more money.
The place costs $50, and with that, you just enter. You dont have the right to use any other service. The place consists basically in a nasty, green, unfiltered pool with the majority of the pressure outlet broken. The waterslide has been closed forever without them to tell you at the moment you pay. The place seems very unclean and filthy. Go elsewhere and save money. The staff is also very rude, starting with the guy at the entrance.
I f i could give this place a 0 i would. This place needs to be shut down. The health codes violation they brake just by not even telling people that the pools are close due to probably containing some type of bacteria that turns it green. Charging people $50 to use 8 saunas like are you serious. Why do we let business like this stay open. I feel bad for everyone that got into those pools.if they dont care about those pools how clean could anything in this place really be. I hope if you reading this you go to groupon and just got to the many other places that have better customer service.
I visited King Spa today and was highly disappointed. For starters, I think people are incredibly inconsiderate to bring small children to a spa that is supposed to be for adult relaxation. Kids were running, crying, and yelling throughout the spa. We tried to relax in the recliners and a man next to me was snoring so loud, I could hear him through my headphones. I went up to the front desk several times to complain, but not much was done. A friend of mine was visiting from California and this was the worst experience for her visit. King spa should not allow small children. The rug in the Pyramid room was stained and unclean. The food is too expensive for what it is. King Spa, you need to do better.
King Spa is heaven on earth. It’s a place the entire family can come and relax, eat and have fun at the water park. The Gold Body scrub is absolutely amazing! It includes a full body scrub, a massage, a facial and and excellent scalp massage. The foot massage Is wonderful as well. The aroma from the restaurant will drive you crazy the food smells so good. Don’t come hungry or you will find yourself dining at the food court. Best time to come is during the week to miss the crowd.
Most of the jets don’t work in the bade pool. The slide is permanently closed. So many saunas were closed. They changed the alcoholic beverage allowance and the bars are closed. Not worth the admission price. The experience is NOT what it used to BE. We also noticed they only thanked certain customers so we won’t be returning.
I am an avid believer in the benefits of saunas. King Spa & Sauna is the epitome of rest, relaxation, and detox!!For $70, my girlfriend and I got full access to the different sauna rooms with different benefits. From different heats, to salts that provide different levels of relaxation, comfort, and energy! There is a full kitchen to give you the nutrients you need to keep you going. Food was phenomenal for the $36 price for two full meals.I will definitely recommend King Spa & Sauna to friends and family!
This place was fantastic. Fun for kids and adults. Very relaxing saunas. The adult pool with bar was out of beer which was a bummer for my husband but we had some mixed drinks and they were tasty and delicious. The bartender was friendly and made great drinks quickly for it being busy. The food was delicious, especially the spicy ramen. Yummmmmmmm. Our family washere 7+ hours and definitely could have stayed several hours more. We will definitely be returning.
Very good Korean Sauna. But a little old, need to be remodeled. Facilities and decorations are pretty old. The sauna house is very small. 5 people inside will feel crowded. There are three young guys today insist to ware their shorts into the washing area, arguing for a very long time. Actually it’s not allowed. You must be naked in washing area. The is rule. You should follow.
This used to be the best spa in the DFW but wow has it declined. Renovations are severely needed. For the new increased entry fee, its shameful.
You should inform guest that the large pool and slide and lazy river are closed indefinitely. Also you need to replace the recliners in the media room. They were all tore up. Half of the small spa rooms were closed. There was not much to do and the up stars is closed and all the pool bars are closed. The side with all the jets was dirty and green and yellow water. The last time I was here was in 2018. Why did you let it get runned down like this?
Loved this place. Different ambiance post pandemic. Still relaxing with hydrotherapy, locker room baths with massages and amenities and an abundance of saunas. They no longer play any music or dim the lights. The vibe isn’t the same but still a decent place to relax and detox. Clean and still has the eatery and 3 max alcoholic beverages. Definitely will return.
My family and I have been going here for years.Todays complaint was about the dirty disgusting jet pools. Never have I seen a disgusting Pool till today. I didn’t notice it until my sister pointed it out. I exited the pool immediately. We did mention to the gentleman at checkout how unsatisfied we were with the pool being that disgusting. He apologized but nothing further.I will think twice before returning to King spa and maybe try Spa Castle instead.
Its all right. Mens dry sauna was closed. Food was good. Many room options. I was disappointed that there werent any massage jets in the mens spa area (only in unheated swim park).SAVE MONEY: Bring your own towel and swimsuit for the swim park area. Discounted tickets are available in Komart for $42 right now. Ask to buy one at any grocery checkout counter.
Pretty solid experience. I have been coming here for many years, but notice that my experience is heavily dependent on the crowd of people that are there. If you’re going, you aren’t going for the food. For me, 70% of the experience is the spa, 25% are the various rooms and the remaining is the occasional massage. Overall would recommend, but as it gets busy the experience diminishes quickly. If you manage to go when it’s relatively empty, 100/100 experience.
This place has turned into a dump. The water smells like it came out of a sewer drain, the steam rooms don’t work and they still charge $50! I would expect much more and better quality for that much. The food was ok, mineral rooms were small and were filled with people sleeping.Kids running around everywhere uncontrolled by parents.Very disappointed and won’t be back unless some major upgrades are made here to make the place look and feel like a “luxury spa”.
My thoughts on King Spa is the place is totally decorated with the Korean style. Its very beautiful on the inside. The pros are they have many spas that you can walk into thats good for your health and your body. The lounge chairs were very comfortable that sits right in front of wall screen TV. If you like Chinese food or Korean food you will adore this place. The locker rooms are huge the facility is clean and very well taking care of. The water pools are inside instead of outside. They have a large patio outside with a lot of lawn chairs in case you want to sun tan. The kids water pool has water slide thats is so fun to go down and splash in the pool.King Spa is a family oriented place where you can bring the entire family and just have some good ol family time. Its really worth the price if you have the time and the mind set.The only con was they had two Jacuzzis and one was out of order and the other wasnt hot enough for me. The drinks are a little over rated, the only food they offer is Chinese entrees which is okay if you have a craving.I would rate King Spa 7 out of 10.But everyone must experience it for their selves because what I like or dislike might not be equal to your liking. I had a relax time just enjoying the peace and the serenity that it offered was definitely amazing.....Enjoy!!!!!
I was given a gift card here, which I would not use. There is a $50 admission charge which does not apply to any services. You basically pay a fee to enter and pay more for services. This is the absolute worst business practice considering if someone just wants to walk in there for just a facial.Yall are wild out here with your admission fee.
Well, my feelings are neutral, only because prices have went up, which prices have gone up everywhere, but since the last time I came, the prices increased again. Admission went from $40 to $50, and the type of massage I get went $120, to $150, now to $180. Food prices are still about the same (a little increase but not much), they permanently closed the kiddie pool area as well with that nice slide and mini lazy river, so quality of the atmosphere has went down, there were times I went when the water jets werent working for months, but yet prices are still increasing. But, I still enjoy coming to this spa for many years, its very relaxing especially with my stressful work, and there v-steam is the best. Amy, that does my massages and srcubs in the back, is the best, ask for her, you wont regret it.
Omg who ever reads this, got to go and enjoy this!! No kidding ... Im from up north and man I wish we have something like this there. When you enter inside and done paying you will have to take off your shoes. Straight ahead you can ask for size of clothings to change into. ****WARNING**** this is like those old times Roman bath!! If you are self conscious you might want to either not go or use towel but you will eventually get it. Beside that they have so many theme rooms to try and check out from. They have alot of recylined chairs in the middle with a big screen tv on, an swimming pool area, some table and seats for those who wants to be on their laptops or tab. They also have an area to eat, korean foods!! It was delicious! Oh forgot to mention so your locker key will be the same as your food key, I believe its a scan key. ( if Im not wrong) you can use that key to order food and pay it later when u are heading out. Overall i enjoyed it, had a blast.
Probably wont ever be coming here again due to the cleaniest of the spa area and how crowded it gets. Spa castle is much more worth it even though its $10 more expensive. The pool area was pretty filthy. Visible mold on areas along the upper walls, ceilings, upper floor guardrail. The water was very cloudy and warm at best. Parts of the tiling lining the pool spa area was crumbling in places. There are only 2 small hot tubs that are always crowded. While the aqua bar pool is hot, there are no jets and the bar was closed and empty. You had to leave the pool and walk up to the main bar. The food area was closed and shut down. The waterpark area was closed off. The water from the main area pools seemed like it was leaving a disgusting film on my skin. EVERY SINGLE SHOWER STALL was out of soap. The bigger shower stall they used as a storage area for empty mop buckets and mops. There would be a plain bar of soap at every other stall but who knows how it was used last. Thankfully someone forgot their bottle of soap which I was able to use.Other than the bulgama room alot of the sauna and ice rooms are small and crowded. The lounge area is also smaller and very loud with alot of people talking loudly on their phones. With this being one of only 2 korean spas in the area I DO NOT recommend KING SPA. Spa castle is the one to go for the DFW area
I’ve been to Korean spas in Korea and always wanted something similar here in the US. I have found a few but nothing that really compared to the ones in Korea. I may have found it here. This place is heaven on earth. I love the various tubs and saunas they offer. The pool area is really fun and the food is pretty good (though overpriced). This is a traditional Korean spa, they have opposite sex spa areas, co-Ed pools and sauna rooms which are very relaxing. If you’re looking for a place to unwind after a long week at work. This is it!
It’s very unwelcoming.. the staff had horrible attitude towards us ( seemed racist). The pool had too much chlorine and you could see rust stains from the water. The rooms were okay but I felt like other races didn’t want us there. I will not return. Spa castle is so much better!
Used to be family friendly. They permanently closed the childrens area, put signs on the luke warm hinoki room banning kids and the last two times we went as a family they made announcements asking patrons to contain their children. The last visit they barely had anyone there and my kids were quietly playong next to me. A staff member told me patrons were complaining about their laughter and they needed to be silent. Sure were happy to charge us for their admission, though.
I love it here. I been coming here since it first opened. I love the authentic vibes! Authentic Korean food that is always delicious and fresh! Overall the culture is everything..the only part of the culture I don’t respect is NO RULES APPLY HERE besides 1st time bag search..note to self: don’t bring anymore quality hygienes with glass bottles :) but there are literally sign’s everywhere PLEASE BE QUIET! 25% or less actually listen..So much that I would appreciate if there was some type of accountability with enforcing those rules where I can actually make sense of $50 entry fee and leave relaxed be stressed…*btw I encourage fellow customers to join me on my my new attempt to resolve solution, if people don’t help provide peaceful atmosphere to rest/relax, I’m going to be playing the most offensive gangster rap music I can find and as inappropriate as I can find..let’s go out with a BANG!!!
If you have never been there, it is uncomfortable and nobody helps you except to tell you to take your shoes off when other people are wearing shoes. Nudity is a requirement to enter areas that I was not comfortable with. No maps or how long to stay in saunas. Given a prison suit orange to walk in barefoot. So glad I didnt get a fungal with other people walking around in street shoes when I was yelled at for it. No not staff... literally from the door to the lockeroom.... asking questions gets you nowhere. They look at you like you are dumb and go back to looking at their phone. The most un relaxing time of my life!
Great experience! It was.my first visit and I hid no idea what to expect but it was delightful. If you are.modest, get over it and go. All of the rooms were nice, well lit, and the explanations of their benefits were helpful. The food was really good. I did nothing but the sauna rooms so I cannot comment on the waterpark, massages, or other amenities.I only have it 4 because there needs to be a sign about using phones on silent. People taking pictures in rooms with sound is a distraction for those wanting to sit quietly as are people walking talking loudly.
I visited this place on a Friday night. It wasnt overly crowded; in fact, my two friends and I had the pool to ourselves. They offer a nice variety of saunas, and the spa is decent. However, the dining experience was disappointing due to the rude and unfriendly staff in the restaurant.
Disabled veteran providing ny experience as nicely as I can. It was a terrible experience and I hope this not part of their internal policiesIve been here throughout the years without anything I would classify as a big concern. It is highly doubtful I will return. I got the worse massage in my life. Im zen, so I gave chances and was waiting for it felt like I was getting a massage. It was bad, I kept telling myself give her more time. It was times I thought she may have been sleep I felt nothing. I adjusted a few times and asked for pressure as that is the key word in what I paid for.I couldnt take it anymore, I got up put on my things and I was going to go to one of the rooms. But then I get harassed by 3 of their employees. I was not asking for anything no discount nothing but I wasnt going to waste me time and suffer through an awful massage. It had never crossed my mind to leave as they feel so good. They asked why I left, I told them it was not pleasant and she made my pain worse and walked off. Then continue to follow me after multiple request to leave me alone. That was it, I headed to the locker rule, didnt even have time to take off the ugly set they provide and another employee is again haras nsing me.That was probably the 5th time I told them to leave me alone. I was there by myself, the only time my voice was raised was after the multiple requests to leave me alone.I had no issue with paying for it even though it was horrible but they were dead set to make it so clear I cant return. Its a spa even with the terrible massage it was a good day until the harassment. They were not done leaving they started again. Like what part if leave me alone dont they understand!!While it still had a great day as I wasnt going to let their ignorance and rude behavior change me.It was hilarious asked if I wanted a free pass, why would anyone that experienced half of what I encountered from 6/7 employees? Which is also the majority of the staff.Im not going to stress over a 200 massage I had 0 intentions to ask for anything didnt cross my mindInstead of harassing me and the ignorant attempt to tell ne I dont know what to expect from the massage that Ive been getting for a few years now and a week prior got the same massage in king spa Chicago. It was so amazing I couldnt wait for 3 weeks. The right thing to do is talk and train your employees. Leave me alone is not subjective, never follow someone walking away and asking to be left alone had I punched them I would be wrong even though they harassing me.It would have been best to ask once as that is part of customer service , apologized have the best to at least give a massage for half the time this way the free entry earns you money as I would have returned and requested that person. Thats just good business etiquette you failed to provide the services advertised and offeredIts all good, negative places and ppl creates this natural opportunity for me to be elsewhere.
Amazing experience. We stayed here in our last day in dalllas and would definitely do it again! Got the 1.5 hour Swedish massage with oil and fell asleep how good it felt 😂 also the food at the food court was delish! Got the bulgogi ramen and rice cakes, highly recommend. If you wear hijab or are uncomfortable with shorts, I recommend bringing long pants, I wore my own with the uniform top they give you.
Most definitely I was disappointed..prices are very expensive..Service is bad the staff unfriendly and short..The wet areas cold and not everything works..Bottom line very dispointed overall.I do not plan to return..I told the staff at the reception they did seem to care and became argumentative and condecendant. For the money next will consider other options.
I really enjoyed my time here! I was nervous about the nude locker rooms, but people are very respectful and it was honestly a body affirmation experienc. The pools in the locker room are great & it was a comfortable environment run by very friendly staff. Some folks had their kids running around, which was the opposite of relaxing but thats not on the business.Bring a towel, socks & comfortable clothes. The sauna rooms upstairs are clean but its nice to be able to walk and lay down on the hot floors without burning yourself.
I will definitely be back and will be bronging more friends... I had a great customer service experience. Everyone was so helpful and friendly.I received a full body swedish/acupressure massage, it was heaven. I also got a foot massage - it was -meh. I enjoyed the sauna and hot tubs in the back and had some juvenile fun with the group of friends I went with in the pool. This is a great place to unwind and relax!
Excellent massage and saunas. But some employees are impolite. I forgot my swimsuit, I remembered it as soon as I got home and called the spa. I said exactly where I left the swimsuit and what color it was. The woman who answered the phone quickly said something (I didn’t understand what exactly) and hung up! I just spent $200 at your spa, just wanted to keep my swimsuit.I called back, the man replied that things were only stored for 2 weeks. I am very upset that they refused to store my swimsuit for a longer period. I hope that I will have time to pick up the swimsuit within 2 weeks. And I hope they dry it and not just leave the wet swimsuit to rot in some plastic bag. This moment ruined the good spa experience.
Absolutely amazing! I came here for the first time and honestly cannot wait to go back. The full body scrub is amazing. The full body scrub was the only paid service I chose but I spent my morning in the sauna, salt rooms and hot tubs. I even gave the hottest room a try and lasted a good 90 seconds. I felt so refreshed afterwards, then we ate lunch and the food is very good, zero cmlomplaints (bring your own water bottle), and finished with the scrub. I feel like a new woman after only a few hours. If you want to avoid crowds, Id go during the week when they open and try to get out of there by 1p/2p.
I’m super upset by all of the more recent pictures and reviews regarding cleanliness, staff, functionality and price of the of this place. Hearing that it’s gone down hill after Covid is disheartening. I’m not from the area but used to live near by and visit all the time. Since I moved away I’ve done nothin but rant and rave to all of my friends and family about wanting to come back to this place! It used to be so amazing! I thought after Covid they would return to being 24 hours but that seems like a thing of the past and the price used to be unbeatable! I suppose I won’t be returning 😪 very very unfortunate. This place has so much potential, I hate that they are not keeping it up. Shame on the new owners!
Really nice and comfortable place to relax after work. There are few different types of saunas with different temperatures (from cool to hot for any taste). They provide you a uniform and small towels. Soap, shampoo, even toothbrush. There is a really good Korean restaurant in there with a big menu. This sauna is the only place in DFW (maybe in Texas) that has Fire Sudatorium. It’s very hot sauna. They cook eggs in there and sell them in their restaurant:-)
Not sure how old this place is and needs a remodel. Small and for lack of a better word, dingy. The facilities are acceptable. The food at the restaurant is a bit expensive. Everyone there says to try Spa Castle, the competition...I havent yet
Very dirty pool area with most jets not working. Most employees dont speak English and when I got my uniform I told her it was my first time here, she gave no guidance. Food is overpriced and not good.
We have such a good time. Bartenders are awesome especially Elvira and Olivia. We love that Tacos and driks
Staff failed to communicate with one another about having a trans person at the spa. I was harassed by 3 different people in very uncomfortable ways. Weirdly, we had been at the spa for 6 hours before staff started harassing and mocking. Not a trans friendly space at all. Which is disappointing.
Horrible experiense, actually. Have been there for the first time, and pretty sure - the last. Some saunas wqsnt working, public saunas mostly useless and the same. Rome sauna - there shoukd be steam, it shoukdnt be dry. No1 explain anything, that we had to get uniform, that we should change our shoes at entrance. When after saunas we went to pools - one of them eas closed for reconstruction, another one, we were in that pool exactly they decided to close for reconstruction right in the middle of the day and oulled every1 out. Everything is completely old and should have comolete reconstruction. That ice room is just a joke. Prices as for the best resorts ever, but service is horrible.
This place went up on their prices and it ain’t what it used to be. Think Austin, TX. This used to be one of the best kept secrets in Dallas then all of the sudden all these damn kids started showing up and their equipment started to break down. It used to be a cultural thing with a few curious and mature adults. Now it’s gone down hill. They need to COME DOWN ON THEIR PRICES or I WILL NEVER COME BACK
This place is amazing, they make it so clear that in the single gender areas it is nude only. The reviews that complain about that are ridiculous. There are coed options for which they provide you a uniform to wear. They have amazing saunas, a sweat bath, and a cold plunge. It is not cheap. Coming from Eastern Europe, it is actually very expensive. The relaxation was worth it for me.
Rude staff. Security guard at the entrance asks people to take their shoes off. I asked him if sandals are allowed. He kept repeating ‘no shoes allowed’. My friend then told me that sandals are not allowed either.Inside, a lot of amenities are out of order. We went on a Friday night- bar was closed- coed hot tub was closed- none of the soap dispensers had soap, only used bars of soap were available- the steam room in the men’s area was closed. The glass door was shatteredThe no footwear policy is crazy. If someone with foot fungus is walking around, you’re taking foot fungus home
I went here for the first time this weekend, and i was disappointed. This place was dirty, the tiles by the pool were chipping off and there were certain areas that smelled like sewagei dont think ill be coming back anytime soon.
To have security at a spa is a bit unsettling. The people were very loud having conversations on speakerphone or amongst themselves but as if they were outside, others having loud conversations in the little rooms, very inconsiderate of the other people around them. The $50 charge just to simply enter isn’t worth it. For lack of a better word, very ghetto. A better experience may be during the week early in the morning when no one else is there. I’ve been twice and the most recent experience wasn’t pleasant.
I love this place !!! They have great food. Try the body scrubs and massage services, you won’t regret it. I’ve been coming here for years. A few things changed since Covid but overall it’s still a great place to stop and check it out! I love going here when I want to just take the day out to relax. A few hours here will get you right. Make sure you take advantage of the water jets and the saunas!!
Korean day spas are great. However, King spa should consider eliminating the entrance fee especially when you book Services in excess of $200 by the time you walk out including the entrance fee you’re close to $400 for one experience! Don’t mind paying the money for an incredible spa except I really don’t appreciate the gobs of hair that get tangled in my fingers while in the hot tub! The V steam and the body scrub are indulgent, but there’s absolutely no privacy, and they do not enforce the Policy. Also noticed this they assign lockers To everyone in the same row, there are several rows of lockers. Why don’t they spread the clientele out. Their food leaves to the imagination. If you choose to dine there, you’ll experience severe bloat from the sodium intake. They should also provide disposable slippers to wear through the facility And should constantly be cleaning up after its patrons. Nothing like grabbing a mat that is full of sweat.
It’s been a while since I’ve visited but yesterday I went to Kings Spa and when I walked in, I got devastating news that my best friend died. I was lost in tears, but king Spa staff found my husband. They took care of us like they cared, and I really appreciate it.
Such a treat! Everything is a la carte, there is a flat fee for the spa steam room area, the saunas are so special and unique. Love it!
Had a great time except for I wish the food court and pool was open later than 9pm only stayed about two hours because of we were hungry
Wow! $50 entry what’s next $75! I remember when it was $25 and it was good! I know prices have been going up everywhere but it’s not worth $50 ! Plus you have to pay for everything separately massage , food, towel ? I do enjoy King Spa but it just one notch above the gym sauna and hot tub I pay only $20 a MONTH ?
Going downhill fast. Will not be returning. A waste of money and false advertising. You do not get what you pay for. Biggest deal breaker: this place is supposed to be a quiet place. Thats what im paying for. A serene, spa experience. This place is a zoo. Both customers and staff on video phone calls in the womens locker area (privacy issue as its a nude area and women can be recorded and photographed without knowing), people yelling and conversing loudly through the entire facility, cell phone usage by staff and customers in all rooms, staff wearing outside shoes inside the facility that we walk barefoot on. I used to come weekly, then decreased my sessions due to these issues. So i came early 3 times this month, around the time they open, yet the same issues are present even if you arrive before 9 am. Terrible place. Ill install a steam room in my home. They arent expensive. The rules are not enforced although clearly visible all throughout the facility, and staff does not honor their word when claiming they will address issues and feedback. However the price is increasing for lesser than sub par services. İnteresting.
What a waste of money! If you are looking for somewhere that you can relax, enjoy quiet rooms, this is NOT the place to go! Currently here on Presidents’ Day, and guess allot of guests paid extra that they are following different rules, which staff does not monitor or enforce. Walk in to rooms and there are multiple groups of 3-4 guest carrying on, laughing, cackling and being really loud that you cannot go in the room to enjoy, relax, etc… which I thought was the purpose. Guess none of the quiet signs apply to them…. Use to come here regularly prior to COVID and it was a positive experience, first time back and the place has gone grown hill. Don’t waste your money….
Personal opinion! As many of the people I talked to there LOVE the authentic feel, I just really love Spa Castle over this place. It was way smaller, had basic/less hot sauna options, and felt really crowded. The last thing I want to feel in a vulnerable place is… crowded. 😆 HOWEVER, they are offering korean body scrubs right now, while SC is still working on staffing issues (I believe) and we REALLY enjoyed the scrub service. If you have never done one, PLEASE step out of your comfort zone and try it! It is so vitalisier and cleansing!
If I could give it 0 stars I would. This place is awful. The bar and the food cafeteria is only open on Friday & Saturday. The pool was freezing (when it’s supposed to be heated). The hot tub wasn’t HOT, this is a huge disappointment considering it’s $40 per person. This place has went downhill and it’s really sad because it used to be very nice. WILL NOT COME BACK
Most amazing spa ever! I cannot speak highly enough of this place. The prices are great for what you get! I usually get the Gold Scrub every 4-6 months and it is amazing! You literally get all of the dead skin exfoliated off of you, get a full body massage, and then get an oil rub down. It is so rejuvenating, relaxing, and refreshing. I always ask for Ann because she works wonders! The spa includes hot tubs, a cool tub, showers, and a sauna. They are all kept extremely clean and the employees make sure that the environment encourages relaxation and cleanliness. The rooms that you can visit outside of the sauna, in the main area, are also amazing and relaxing. I usually like to spend at least 12 hours so I can do everything. The pool is also an added treat. I don’t usually go just because when I visit I tend to go for relaxation but if you want a little added fun there’s a full bar and music.Last but certainly not least, the food is amazing. The teriyaki salmon plate is to die for and the ramen never disappoints. I also enjoy the fresh juiced apple carrot juice and the fish shaped red bean ice cream sandwiches are a MUST HAVE treat.I highly recommend visiting King Spa!!! I can’t wait to go back.
Loved the warm pool , drinks at the bar, and all of the different saunas to experience but the outside water park was closed and its the reason we picked this one over Houston spa.
Alot of the pool functions didnt work. It has really gone downhill. However the food was exquisite and tasted great.
Im in love with this place, definitely coming back. Reasonably priced and the amenities are endless. I enjoyed the many different types of saunas, was pleased with the informational background sheet on the outside of each room. I spent five hours here and Im pretty sure I couldve stayed longer. I was in need of a mental break and I found it at this place. I was able to relax, meditate and just take in the silence around me. Relaxation at its finest.
It’s OK…pretty pricey for what it is. Worth trying one time. Very basic for $50 entrance fee, and additional services are very expensive. Two hours is plenty, was very bored after that. 😐
First timer here. SO FIRST OFF BRING YOUR OWN TOWELS or pay $2.50 each to get one of theirs. only a small hand towel is available for the shower area. EVERYONE IS NAKED IN THE LOCKER ROOM AND SHOWER Please do not expect any privacy. THERE IS NONE! there are no walls there are no shower curtains just body parts everywhere. The entrance fee provides you access to the Sauna and the pool area only. Everything else costflip-flops are allowed at the pool but nowhere else. You may wear socks or be barefoot in other areas. There are couples massage packages you can inquire about. The Platinum package I got $375.00 comes with 2 free entrance coupons for FUTURE visit. 2 meals from the food court 2 adult beverages and fruit bowl and 1 hour massage and 1 private hour in a tiny jacuzzi tub not meant for 2. That part was aggravating... Not being able to fit in it together. Massage was decent. They tell you to be vocal about the hand pressure they use so thats good. Love the hot towels they use on you to remove the excess oil You can make a reservation for those couple massages but other services are just first come first serve. customer service wasnt the greatest. Food was not good to me at all. Very disappointing. It came with the package I paid for and so I hated to waste my money but i took a few bites and it just went in the trash. The pink lemonade oddly tasted like it had soap in it.
Treated my best friend and myself to a combo massage at king spa. We enjoyed the massages and all the other amenities. Will be back to fully explore the facility as we were only able to stay 2 hours.
It’s a good spa though (lots of saunas, massage pool and etc), BUT almost all the employees beyond the reception point are RUUUUUDE.It’s been my second time there. I’m not sure if I want to come there againFor instance, the W.sauna personnel do not explain the rules. If you do something wrong they jump on you like cats on the meat trying to tear you apart verbally. I didn’t get used to such a rude manner of communication. Also, I’ve learnt that you can not apply ANY type of skin care (masks, scrubs etc) but only what the sauna provides. It’s ridiculous! What if I do not want to spend $150-400 each weekend on stuff I can do myself.Last time I was taking shower applying some specific soap on my skin, one of the spa ladies was checking on my regularly to make sure I’m not doing anything prohibited lolVERY ANNOYING!!!!In general, any communication with the staff is kind of rough and unwelcome. I don’t like that feeling.
First time here with my 7 year old son we were unaware of the rules asked if it was okay to swim with the uniform they provided the lady in the front said yes but it would be 1$ fee for a change in uniform but it would be okay & then while in the middle of fun my child was yelled & scolded at by 2 staff members for what we were told was okay when we said it was our first time they gave attitude and told us to get out
Absolutely amazing experience! The saunas were so relaxing and the food was phenomenal!!When you get inside they make you take off your shoes and get a uniform and you change in the locker rooms, they do have a bath that is no swim suits allowed so youll see naked bodies of the same sex.The pool and water park area a great! If you want the real food youre looking at around 15-16 per bento box. The fast food is only available fri, sat,sun so keep that in mind for small kids.Water boats are available for rent for babies/toddlers
I didnt get photos but its hundreds online. Ive been to Spaas in Asian and around the US. This one is my second favorite. Its probably the biggest smd most thersphy options. I have a choice between this ome sns spa castle. I was told this one is slightly better. You cant go wrong for the price.
This place was so amazing. We spent an entire day here and left feeling renewed and refreshed and pampered. Theres not a necessity to spend extra money on services, but we had full body scrubs done and it was well worth it. For the 50$ admission alone you get access to so much. Great way to spend the day! The staff are wonderful and inviting and friendly.
I am familiar with the Chicago location, and while this one is smaller its still very nice. I do wish that a culture of lower volume was a bit more enforced, but Ive learned my lesson after a few visits and coming with earbuds takes care of that problem.
I would heavily recommend to not go at this current time. Years ago it was well staffed and all the amenities worked. This time that I went we were treated to little to no staff. Not much help of where to go and what to do and I had a very rude massage therapist stiff arming me for a bigger tip after I already paid for 2 sessions. I was shocked and couldnt believe it since I already had to pay $50 for admission which that has also gone up. The pools were barely working. The kid water park was completely shut down. No pool bar service and the hot tub wasnt even bubbling. It was warm bath water at best. I believe you guys can do better and I advise for people to save their money and go somewhere else if possible.
Everything is amazing a love all the amenities and fodd but I do wish they have more uniform sizes Im a 3x and had to stuff myself into a 2x and was uncomfortable I do hope they get more sizes in the future I will be back again
Visited here for a self care day & found myself stuck at the bar making convo with the bartender Olivia, she is so nice & fun to talk to! not to mention she makes a great drink & are all very decently priced might i add. definitely ask for her when you go!
Don’t waste your time. Their website says walk-in only, no reservations. Drove all the way over here and they are booked up. Ridiculous. Also, there steam rooms/pools are currently closed.
Im from Atlanta and miss JeJu. King Spa is a God-send, and food is delicious. I had kimchi soft tofu soup. Excellent. And of course, body scrub.
This place is unbelievable I wish they would have more kings spa across Texas. Such a treat and very relaxing!
My sister took me today for my birthday to just have a relaxing day. I was very disappointed in this place, the price a month ago was $30 last week was $40 due to the renovations and then today it was $50. We arrived at 9:30 paid and were just given our bracelet and told to remove our shoes. No one shows you where to go or explains anything you are basically just left to figure it out. We go into the locker room change into given uniform and go walk around to try and figure it out. We went to pool area only to discover they provide hand towels but if you want a regular towel you must rent it. The bar and snack bar was closed the pool jets and sprayers did not work there was a huge ball of black hair in the pool, then a man walked in took off his shorts and entered the pool nude. After we left that area and went to try out the rooms there was a man in one on the phone. Kids were everywhere unattended opening and closing the doors. Someone dropped poop in the floor I’m sure from a diaper and finally someone cleaned that up. There were several teenagers in a couple of the rooms on there phone watching videos. For this to be my first experience I was so highly disappointed and it was not worth the money. Avoid
The trick for King spa is to pretend youre not in America. This is a Korean spa, PHAT private areas and public areas. The private area is divided into men only and women only, complete with multiple hot tubs, sauna, steam room, cold plunge, in each section. In the public section theres I believe eight different saunas with specific purposes. My favorite would be the sudatorium which simulates being on the inside of a kiln! Youre only allowed to be in it for 10 minutes at a time because it gets so hot. This is a great place to get away, as theyre open 24 hours. During the daytime theres also a water park that is mostly indoors, attached to the spa section. They also have a small cafe where you can purchase food.
Personal opinion, I am a little picky about health and nudity, the risk of fungus is there and you can notice somebody s looks on you, not comfortable....but like I say is personal
Very nice. I have no need for the former spas and saunas I used to go to. Also, I really appreciate the woman who did my facial (11/20 @ 2:30pm), it was stellar - definitely the best Ive ever received. Sad that some people cannot be without their phones while in some of the saunas, esp without headphones at the very least. When youre able to sit with yourself without distractions, I feel like the body receives maximum benefits, just an observation, but otherwise 10/10 for me.
The ownership changed to Chinese. They do a traditional Chinese massage for way too much and CHARGE A TIP, unlike before. When I visited, the steam room was broken and the cold bath was not very cold. The management is rude and unpleasant. I asked why they stopped doing 24 hours service and the manager/owners said you can go somewhere else. Yes, customers can go somewhere else and they will if you dont offer a compelling product and good service at a fair price.
So disappointed. Kids on Spring break, and Got turned away from Epic waterpark (too full). This was the next best thing. After paying admission and kids excited for water slide, we found out the pool area was only open on the weekend. They could have told us before taking our money. Other areas were also closed. C mon!!! Its Spring break!!!! If you are with kids (or without)and looking for some water fun beware!!
Enjoyed my time here last night! Decided to bring in the New Year with some Detoxification and Relaxing Self Care.I do wonder though, if they Cleanse their Rooms Energy at all or any of the Crystals/Salt Rooms. Many people use them daily, so I’d assume the Energy could be dense after so many people Releasing things as they Meditate.Would also be good to get some Door Cushions so the doors wouldn’t shut so loudly as people leave since many people aren’t aware to close the door Softly.Would be good to have wipes around as well to wipe and sanitize things for ourselves, like doors or couches and chairs. Not a must be would be a good thing to add in.Some pictures I took of the front entrance ceiling as I waited on my Lyft. Have a wonderful and safe time! Deep Breathes! Peace & Love. Happy Living 🫶🏾🤍
This spa is okay, but I prefer Spa Castle. This was my first time going and it was quite a let down because 90% of the hydromassage jets werent working and all three bars where closed. Im guessing they lost their liquor/ TABC license. Their saunas are limited and on the smaller side. I did like the body scrub and massage and Ahn did an excellent job.
I love the cleanliness and the staff is so helpful.. The public pool is fabulous.I enjoy the womens spas with the body scrub and massages. The girls are so thorough and relaxing.Thank you
My mom and I drove from Austin to Dallas to come and we weren’t disappointed! This spa is a great, family friendly place to unwind and relax. Definitely bring your swimsuits if you want to take a swim, and if you plan on staying overnight start reserving spots because they tend to fill up quickly! Here’s a picture of what I got👇🏽
They have recently raised their price to $50 per entry and $42 if you get the tickets from K Mart doen the street which i wasnt too happy about but they did remodel the womens spa area and its much nicer. I love it here. My only other complaint is the other people here. Dont come here to drink and party. Its a spa, chill. Also as a warning to couples, sometimes also the officer walking around may get onto you about PDA, he also checks bags for glass and food which i sort of appreciate for safety reasons.
Been here many times! I love King Spa, but things have definitely changed.New management is unwelcoming compared to the friendly faces before, and it seems they got rid of any and all of their coupons + substantially increased prices on admission & services, which make it less appealing to go. It went from $35 —> $50, but the pricing is in an inverse relationship with how many sections of the spa are actually open and usable. This has made it difficult because every dollar adds up, and in a time where people are having to budget way more than before, what used to be a regular (and practical) self-care day for me going here is now a scarce treat every now and then and pretty much only for the cold/hot therapy rather than the overall multifaceted experience like before. The waterpark has deteriorated into a visibly dirty place, and the pool bar is never open now which is really disappointing and takes away a big component of fun & socialization compared to the relaxed/silent nature of the rest of the spa (which I think the variety is refreshing, makes you want to stay longer, and beneficial for people who are visiting Dallas that have never experienced or have access to a Korean bathhouse). With such a huge space to work with, I would hope the price increases meant more areas would be opening and available for use, making it more attractive to visit. But it seems to still be abandoned (for example, the restaurant spaces in the water park, the slide portion of the waterpark, or some of the upstairs section) and becoming more desolate as people, including myself, are finding it less worth it.The music that plays in the waterpark is limited to 10 songs (that are all not the original songs, just covers) which gets a lil annoying lol. I miss the bangers that would play! Or at least the variety.I can’t help but to feel disheartened it’s not what it used to be, and I feel hesitant dishing out extra money to an establishment that’s going downhill with worse management that’s enabling it to.
I am editing my review after last year from 5 to 2. I used to be a regular. I came during the soft opening and saw some of the renovations. Although good, it doesnt justify the cost of $50, in my opinion. They also went up on services, so I no longer use them.Cool stuff:They now have bar food, which is good. I saw it and it looks awesome! They are now doing a 3 max drink requirement (this is good to avoid rowdiness, plus the drinks are strong). The jacuzzi and blade pools are working which is cool! The Bad:So, why did I change 5 to 2 star? Well, cleanliness. The nude section of the womens side has an issue with people following rules with putting their hair up. I went in the pools and saw long strings of fine black and blonde hair. I was so grossed out that I left and went to the wet sauna (then the rest of the place). I used to enjoy my herbal bath but now I cant because I feel hair crawling on me.I still enjoy my ramen, although this time, I didnt get any egg in it. Im hoping one day I can try the boba tea. They seem to always be out when I go.Dry sauna are about the same to me. Overall, Ill go but not as often like I used to. I still prefer it over Spa Castle, but if theyre charging $50, I can see why people stopped going and now go to Spa Castle. You get more for your money.
The massage body treatment and rooms were really good. But the pool was kinda yucky and half the pool area wasn’t open
3 not because the spas weren’t great. The spas waterpark and sunas were all 5star but the interaction between the men definitely wasn’t expected.
Ive been coming here for many many years and theyve recently remodeled. Every dry sauna, hot tub, locker room, etc has been renovated, and its even nicer than before. This is such a great place for a unique and immersive cultural experience, and dont forget to eat at the cafe inside while you are there. Everything Ive tried has been amazing!
I went here a few years ago when I lived in Dallas and had a great experience! The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful, and the facility was super clean and well kept!
I absolutely love this place and would give it five stars if the restaurants and special services were slightly less expensive. Its not bad enough to keep me from going, though. The general admission price is absolutely worth every penny. I love to lay down in the theater after relaxing all day. Its very clean, beautiful, and peaceful.
Clean experience with typical DFW customer service. the staff was constantly cleaning throughout my trip which is great. the pool area opened around 11am, pool cleaner guy had just left, some of the pool jets work some dont. On site maintenance worked diligently to get the jets up and running.
Always a relaxing enjoyable time, although it’d be nice if they re-open the pool/slide room.
We enjoyed our time here, loved all the different sauna rooms they had available. They were clean and well maintained. Theres also lots of comfy couches around to read or nap. The uniform provided for wear in these areas was comfortable and they offer a variety of sizes. In my opinion, skip the pool. Theyre honest about whats in working condition and whats not in regards to the jets. Not worth it to change in and out of a swimsuit + drying off. However there are small towels available for free, as well as a machine that will help to wring out your wet suit.I did not enter the (nude) spa bath area connected to the locker room, but my friend had good things to say about it. It looked very relaxing.
More changes, but poor taste all customers dont wear uniforms anymore they basically wear what they want. The pool jets hasnt worked in months, way too loud in locker room pool area with please be quiet signs everywhere but no inforcement. Not a family inviroment anymore I hadnt been in a while for that reason management has really changed with people in sauna rooms in plain clothe or sports bra and shorts its just not unified and sanitary anymore I think this will be my last time coming
Love king spa would come here every weekend if I could ❤️❤️ they make me feel so relaxed ☺️ and comfortable
Always a good experience. Sad to see some of the food items gone, and the cost so high, now, but still a great experience .
I used to love coming here, but it has gotten too expensive. The gold scrub for women used to be $120, then it was $150 and its now $180 and no longer comes with a voucher to return to King Spa for free. For the total cost after entry fee and tip, you can go get a massage at a much higher end spa like the one at The Joule. On the bright side, it was pretty dead so it was quiet.
If you are looking for the culture experience, this is a good place to visit. It reminds me of the sauna when I visited Korea. There have more than 10 different types of dry sauna, you will need to wear their uniform to enter it; a bade pool with all type of jacuzzi; a pool bar (only open during the weekend due to Covid), a water park for kids, bring your swimming suit! Also, they have a wet sauna area separated by gender. You will need to be fully naked, and make sure you shower before you enter the hot tub, (even you get off from the sauna or steam room, please). The cold tub is always refreshing after steam and sauna. It makes your skin feels like new and tight. They also have a theater and food courts, it’s perfect for a spa day with your friends and family. Love it!
Definitely an enjoyable excursion for me and my buddies. Clean mens area for you to enjoy the hot spa, sauna, and cold dip pool. The co-ed part has plenty of rooms for you to explore to see which you like best. They even have a movie room! Plan ahead to just eat there at their cafe and make it an easy and enjoyable day.
This place applies closed for you to have a very relaxing and enjoyable time. If you want to pay extra for the spa like rub Downs salt rubs back massage body massage body wash all the luxuries I feel like youre in a foreign country. Also enjoyed the staff keeping the place nice and tight and clean. The one room got to go into the Adobe Hut or its over 110° and can burn all those toxins and sweats out in a 10 minute sitting. Great place to take your employees for a couple hours of relaxation and enjoyment.
I used to love coming to this place. A coworker and I would leave work early on Thursdays just to come and relax here. Recently, my husband and I went here as a little anniversary relaxation. It was horrible. The indoor pools that are usually warm, were freezing cold, most of the jets do not work, only 1 hot tub worked, they closed down the swim up bar and replaced it with a bar you need to get out of the water to get to. The bar has loud ghetto music basting! It was the complete opposite of relaxing! The place was quite honestly dirty and definitely no longer worth the price. I was highly disappointed and will not be returning unless the conditions improve. I have warned many people to avoid this place because it is just not worth the drive or money anymore.
Way over priced and incredibly underwhelming. You’re gonna spend the money go to spa Castle. King spa is incredibly rundown and very lackluster.
Cool Place! But before taking your kids please be aware of the locker room situations. it is a public locker room & pretty normal but do understand people do change in the open and walk around completely nude. I would highly suggest having a talk with your children & explaining this is a normal thing in gyms and locker rooms like this before walking them into this situation like I did with my step daughter. We switched lockers over to the waterpark locker room which is the reason we were there and there wasnt many ppl at all in that locker room and also had a family changing area unlike the other that just had 2 bathroom stalls. I did not try the food but I heard it wasnt worth it. Also didnt get to try the spa areas. Overall we had a blast and will return again to get the fuller experience!
Super sad so many parts of the spa is closed. Staff was nice, but services were lacking. Call and ask what’s opened.
I did the scrub and it was fantastic I think everybody should do that my skin has never been softer
The price has gone up quite a bit. I understand the need for raising admission fee. However, the each scrub service fee went up by $30 and you dont get a coupon anymore. Also its time for the tipping method to be changed. I dislike very much when the massager follows you out and hand the paper for you to fill out your key number and tip amount.
So much cleaner than spa castle. Better service, more options. King spa is better in every category!!
Что ещё написать фото по-моему говорят за себя))) это круто) проснуться утром с видом на все это!!! Я доволен!!Но естественно не одной улыбки...(Translated by Google)What else can I write? I think the photos speak for themselves))) it’s cool) to wake up in the morning with a view of all this!!! Im happy!!But of course not just one smile...
This place has gone downhill. Dirty dingy and disgusting. They let this place go down, and it seems like they will not fix it up. Charging the full price for a place in this shape is ridiculous. Its definitely not worth the money. Years ago, this place was great. Nice and clean. But now they dont up keep it, and it looks terrible. Food is very pricy for the little amount. The drinks are small and too expensive as well. All the money is going to pay for that armed guard they have looking through your bag and walking around with their dirty boots on. Make it make sense. The kids pool still doesnt work either. The pool area doesnt have great ventilation. Stinks over there. Yuck. You have been warned. One more thing anyone giving this place 5 stars after covid wasnt there before. It was gorgeous and clean before the pandemic. Check out the monitor next to the desk where you pick up your uniform. The pictures show how nice and vibrant the place was before. Now its just overpriced hunk of junk.
I love massages and spa atmosphere environments. Was very excited to tryout this place however upon arriving you can instantly feel the toxicity in the air, everyone is barefoot walking around with no personal cleaning the floors regularly. Everyone is laying in the saunas and sweating again without anyone regularly going in to clean up or sanitize. The food definitely is not worth the price. More like mall food court quality and the pools are disgusting! Do not trust the photos you see online with clear blue water, time has taken a toll on this facility! Trust me when I say your money is better spent somewhere else! I’d prefer my regular hole in the wall LV Massage over this place! Not to mention almost everything is broken or out of order. Such a disappointment! Oh it was so bad I threw my socks away they were filthy and had pubic hairs which couldn’t possibly be from me!!!
Front desk girl was rude and unprofessional but other staff was so nice
Honestly the place has gone down. The drinks are always good to give a buzz. Hot saunas good. But the water area is most definitely not good. Not worth the price at all. Nothing has been working since Ive started going, jets dont work. People love the water area to relax, drink and carry a nice conversation. They need a complete remodel. Male and female wet area hot tub works sauna and steam room work at certain times. King Spa up your game.
I used to lovvve this place. I stopped by for a couple hours while my kiddo was at the museum. The food was good , as usual. It was very clean. However , the pool area needs some help. And no one was at the upstairs bar and lounge. It looked deserted 😬In the pool area , I saw they were storing lounge pillows behind the staircase. Not very classy.Jets aren’t working in pool area which they inform you of before hand.I spent most of my time in the women’s hot tub area.I still enjoyed the food and shakes. I really do hope they can make improvements. This place still has potential.
I’ve been going for over a decade at this point, and while the price has gone up so has the quality. I look forward to every visit!
I love the sauna and the foot massage, it was very relaxing. However, the chair massage was difficult for me to enjoyed.... they messed up my back. I never had pain from a spa place. I will not do the chair massage again but other i will try.
Granted it’s been a year since I’ve been to this location so I might have to try it again. When I went, a lot of the saunas were closed or crowded. The location was a lot more dirty than other spas in the area. The alcoholic beverages were absolutely not worth it. You will hit the daily allotted limit without even getting a buzz, and it’s not cheap.
Didn’t catch any photos! But next time I will! This was my first time visiting and I had never experienced a sauna so I was excited! The different sauna rooms cater to different needs of the body and you can read the benefits of each room on the display. There’s a theatre and a cool down room as well, lockers and pools, don’t forget to eat lunch!
Ive really enjoyed the visits when I went.Look for specials on their page. There are different rooms you can go in like the salt purification room elevated oxygen room, heat, cold. The hot tubs are nice but some people have a difficult Im not having clothing in the hot tub area. Were all human. Were all different shapes and sizes. Dont be timid. Just relax.Im addicted to karaoke but I find it kind of funny you can do it here 😂
Its super clean, the atmosphere is very calming. I am a frequent spa goer. DO NOT GO TO SPA CASTLE! At both places you have to be barefooted but at Spa Castle your feet are always dirty... you dont get that at King Spa. Spa Castle has a lot of ratchet people that go there to party not for a spa day . At Spa Castle no one monitors the hot tubs so people get in the hot tubs without bathing , disgusting! I guarantee you thats not going to happen at King Spa. I love it so much that Im there at the very least once a month! #kingspaisthebest
Spas and saunas were great. The only complaint was the food. We got the Stone Bowl ans Oxtail bone broth soup and nothing had flavor. Maybe Im not accustomed to Korean food but I didnt think it was worth $15 each. But everything was clean and the masseuses were great. Definitely recommend for a relaxing getaway, just eat before you go.
I went last week and was looking forward to the water park area being reopened. The water was uncomfortably cold, so I tried the hot tubs. The water in those was luke warm, and the water looked and smelt dirty. I got out pretty quickly. The water park area was definitely disappointing.
I love spending a relaxing day at king spa. They offer a wide variety of activities, from relaxing in the sauna or hot tubs to more active things like the water park and karaoke. They food is great and speedy and every message Ive gotten has been wonderful. They recently redid their locker rooms and the lockers are super nice and spacious now. I try to make it once a month for a little me time.If you havent been before, please be advised that the spa wet areas are gendered and require some semi-public nudity around the hot tubs, showers, and steam rooms. I think that surprises some Americans, but its a very relaxing experience if you just get over it.
Expect less than what you see on their website. As it is advertising a waterpark with a 30ft slide that is permanently close as well as the water bar.Entire staff is vague, so if it’s your first time expect to figure everything out on your own.
Been a couple of times. Always had a good time. It was better pre pandemic. Before the water park closed and they stopped being open 24hrs. The food experience is good as well. The overall experience is worth what you pay.
Kings Spa is a nice place if you need a little R&R and self care! The Water Park is not really a Water Park. It has a bunch of hot tubs that weren’t working. The saunas were ok. The best thing about the spa is the scrub! Get the scrub!
My new favorite sauna, this place has everything! Many rooms to choose from, pretty good Korean food at the cafe, and even a theater and waterpark. The most important piece is the ambiance, even when busy and bustling this place remains dim and hush in just the right way to provide a peaceful stay. (Many nooks to sit alone if you’re introverted like me.)
Quality at this spa has surely declined after the pandemic. Entry and food and drink prices have surged, yet every time Ive gone in the past 6 months (twice so far) theres always something broken, theres not enough people for vending, an advertised item is not available, or theyve randomly permanently closed something I enjoyed down.Im going to start going to Spa Castle instead.
All of my Texas visitors and local family enjoyed a day visit in the past. The only problem is that a few of the water massage jets were not working. I am ringing another return guest who requested another visit soon.
Honestly, the experience was only okay. The staff was nice and the sauna rooms were nice. However, the pool was disgusting and none of the jets in the pool worked. So the pool space was not relaxing or enjoyable. Unfortunately, I did not know how murky and gross the pool water was and I wore a new bathing suit. I didnt get my chest part wet and the water in the pool discolored the white parts of the bathing suit to brown.
I visited the spa for the first time on 6/24/2023. I was taken aback by how large the facility is. The staff members I encountered were courteous and the facility seemed clean. I wasn’t comfortable being naked and receiving a body scrub spa treatment in the wet area of the locker room. It felt good but it wasn’t relaxing. I did notice that the products being used were made by Suave and Equate. They could have at least put the products into different containers without labels. I would have preferred not seeing the product being used, because the body scrub service cost me $80 plus a tip. There were several amenities not operable. I would not recommend this place and I won’t be visiting again.
This place was a unique experience. There were a lot of different jets and spas to experience. About half of the spas were broken, which was disappointing.
