Retro Revolution Smoke Shop

I have been going to retro revolution multiple times a week for the past 9-12 months since I’ve been in Dallas. It is my go to spot for all of my vape shop needs. The staff there is all extremely friendly and efficient.its not your average head shop, while they do carry a variety of a affordable products, there’s something about Retro that feel so luxurious Regardless of how busy it gets there is always someone there to help you pick out what you need and get you out the door quickly. They have a great variety for any product you are looking for. They have a ton of Kratom options, kava, nootropics and a billion DELTA 8 Products and everything is priced competitively. I don’t think I’ve ever had a bad experience with anyone at this store. 5 star!!!!! This will continue to be my go to spot as long as I am in dallas.

Great store. I only saw the glass side of the store. Glass selection is killer. Something for everyone. Brandon really knew his glass. Showed me some pieces from local artists and left with a piece from an artist I really like. Amazing customer service and awesome people. Will definitely be returning and buying more glass soon!

Okay so the TL;DR first for anyone in a rush :They do have replacement magnetic/screw on 510 connectors sold SEPARATELY for the yocan uni. Unlike anything I’d seen before. That device would be eternal if not for losing that piece. Which is now SOLD SEPARATELY. (At Retro Revolution. )And, last I saw they also sold Nytols too. (This was a couple of months ago but yes they did have it, but you have to ask. You’re welcome.Here we goooo:This is by far the best all purpose shop for any and all kinds of specialty/novelty needs. They have everything from the obscure one off items to the mainstream items. Really good prices. I was helped by some of the friendliest knowledgeable employees Ive met in an establishment of this type. On my first solo visit, Brandon was so incredibly nice right off the bat and was able to help me with answering all of my silly questions right when I walked in. Chris on the other hand, I got the vibe that he’s more business minded and I can easily ask too many questions so I didn’t really have too much experience with him but from what I saw first hand, he keeps the place in line. (which is a great thing when you work in an establishment that will get tons of either kids trying to come in (nope) or just general riffraff coming in to cause trouble or just making messes which he shut that down quick. W/o being the typical “vape shop snob” bc it’s not a vape shop hah. My Second visit I had Johnathan help me out first and he almost had me sold on an item I actually needed but decided against last minute, but knowing it is sold there gives me an excuse to return for my third visit soon.As for their Vape section. I gotta be honest here and say that I wish they had the items I needed but as it’s not a “vape “ shop per se, I was surprised to see how much of a decent selection of podmod devices and loads of saltnic. I get it, supply/demand. I’m stuck in the subohm camp and dont like change. they had a decent juice selection of days and a couple of freebase with fruit flavors, but as a connoisseur of custard- they didn’t have many to Choose from. At least not in freebase. Then again, they’re not a shop who’s catering exclusively to vapers so it’s not unexpected.I went in looking for one item and while I didn’t find it, I did end up getting my boyfriend a badass bday gift, and myself a new shirt. So I wasn’t unhappy by any means. (I actually spent more than that but w/e I love all the things i got and enjoyed myself while browsing)My favorite thing about this shop, is how actually down to earth the employees are which is rare in this industry. You’ll usually run into stuck up know it alls who make you feel like your lack of knowledge on any topic or item makes you an idiot. I didn’t get that not once not from anyone there.I returned actually a week later looking for a different coil for a different vape (they have some coils there but not a big selection) although I wet in knowing they may not have it, It was fine since on my last visit I saw their impressive jewelry selection and wanted to replace some of my older items. Ana was super helpful and knowledgeable about what they had and didn’t have and even did something for me I hadn’t seen another shop do in ages! In regards to keeping me as a repeat customer !I will continue to shop here for anything I may need in the future and will be suggesting any friends to do so as well!My boyfriend has been shopping here on and off for many years and he introduced me to the location a while back with him but my first time solo I really got to spend time inside, get to know the various items they sell and see that the employees make the energy in that place so comfortable and relaxed that if they did sell more freebase/sub ohm items, I’d honestly probably never go anywhere else for my vape things.Hint hint 😉Lastly; anyone who says anything bad about this shop is well obviously just mad that they didn’t own or work in such a great shop nor did they get the opportunity to have such great coworkers.Or, you know it was just PMS. W/e.

Brandon took great care of me while I tried on all the cool clothes! Great selection of EVERYTHING! I could spend hours in this store bc there is so much to see and the selection is over the top! I love this store!!

Unlike other headshops, this establishment offers not just pieces and papers but the other half of the store is dedicated to clothing and jewelry that’s unique and stylish. The wide variety of accessories, equipment, and glass is abundant and well picked to be show cased. The staff was professional and immediately asked for IDs and assisted me (Thank you Jay) They have everything well stocked, organized, and clean. Prices are a bit high compared to most but you can’t find a vast selection like Retro does. I wish they had more locations. I love taking my time to look through the store to find hat pins, jackets, utensils, and original pieces. Step inside and you see the difference especially in employee knowledge and helpfulness. Most employees at headshops don’t care, slouch around like you’re a hassle to them, and don’t even try to be a salesman. I was happy to engage in a conversation with my cashier who also offered me a sample of incense.

Super cool smoke shop! They have such a wide variety of water pipes, novelties, collectibles, smoking essentials! Must visit for all my smokers!

Amazing employees and management. Bought a piece that somehow broke from the store to my house, called them and they rectified the situation immediately. They provided a fair replacement, and went above and beyond.

I love this store! I always find the cutest clothes and jewelry here(they have body jewelry too!) And customer service here from the employees is honestly so impressive with how helpful they are and every time I walk and Im greeted with a smile. Definitely recommend checking them out if you are in the area!

Excellent smoke shop with very helpful staff and very unique inventory. Great acrylic, soft glass, and standard glass pipes of all kinds, nectar collectors, everything. Its all good and its all but a guarantee that if you go in intending to buy a piece, youre gonna be a minute or two because theres both quite a number of pieces and quite a few that seem to be unique to some of the brands they carry, so while this place may for some of the pieces be very slightly higher than some, coming from here itll more than likely be a more unique piece that youll be very hard pressed to find a replacement for, should one ever be necessary.

Staff needs more training in not stereotyping, and basic manners..Used to be my favorite local spot when I lived in Dallas, came back two years later, said hi and the girl w black hair at the front started stereotyping me and told her coworkers to keep an eye on me. immediately told her coworkers “keep an eye on her” I gave them the benefit of the doubt and continued to browse. Until I realized the guy she told to “watch” me was wiping the glass down- mind you, I’m looking at the pretty rocks, bent over peaking in the glass cases, did they think I was going tos teal their fake $12 gems? They proceeded to follow me back around the counter when I went to tell my boyfriend I felt uncomfortable. I was planning on spending quite a bit of money on their cute accessories and tools while visiting Dallas, and their immediate judgement for no reason RIGHT when I walked into the door will forever lose my business, and i hope you have a better experience than I did.

I used to adore/love this place. Six months ago I went in and was asked within 7 to 10 minutes, by 3 different employees if I needed help, it was smothering. I left and tonight I thought I would try it again - same experience. I was told that their requirement is to be within 6 feet of the customer at all times. Dear Retro if you are wondering why your business is slow … well. People who a re not thieves don’t appreciate being stalked in your store. Not going back there

Yamel and the guy working with her today were super sweet and knowledgeable. This place was way more than I expected and so adorable on the inside. There was all kinds of delicious incense and other neat random stuff. I will definitely be back and recommend it to everyone.

We’ve been here a couple of times since moving to the area and love this place. Always good vibes and the people who work here are so nice! I always find some awesome photos for our beatles wall too. Highly recommend!

Man I always love coming here, the vibe is always awesome. I go in there looking for one thing and leave with so much other stuff that cater to my needs. Yesterday was the first time Id been to the shopin 10 years. The first time I was there was actually for a band signing, the kottonmouth Kings. So I guess you could say this is the first time I had actually been in the shop for shopping purposes.Brandon was there and was extremely helpful, friendly, and I felt that he went above and beyond to satisfy my needs and questions. Will most certainly be returning and I will absolutely recommend. This place will literally stalk you black or white. I’ve spent $1000s in here and never again. It’s not a nice cozy place to shop, heightened paranoia by the owner who insists her employees stay within 6 ft of any customer. Don’t waste your time

This is my go to in the DFW. They have the best flower and gifts. I have purchased tarot cards, air freshener, vapes, and cigars from these guys.

Where can I begin with this review but to say this is a phenomenal smoke shop experience!!! My wife and I have been going to Retro for practically 2 years now and every time the customer service we’ve received is above and beyond!! Shout out to the homies Juan, Chris, Brandon, Zach, and Jonathan!! These guys have always taken care of us and made sure we always get the best value in our purchases!! The shop definitely does not lack in variety!!

Visited this lovely smoke shop quite a few times.. Always good service and nice staff. I’ve bought a lot of clothing from here which was nice for vacations especially. I love all the products as well and decent pricing.

A remarkable place. It has been around forever. Great products and great staff. Especially Gage. He is very knowledgeable about everything and is the reason why I will continue to go there. From Tshirts to awesome patches for a bag or backpack to the infamous back door room/area. You can never go wrong stopping by and taking a look and learning about the industry. Truly nostalgic and truly a great place to shop. I highly recommend.

Highly recommended!! This shop has so many things to choose from and that atmosphere combined with friendly people working makes you feel comfortable no matter what youre looking for. From metaphysical items, like tarot cards and crystals, to an impressive selection of body jewelry, vintage t-shirts, clothing, gifts, home decor, rare unique jewelry, and even a smoke side on a separate half of the store which has everything from plastic grinders to collectable heady glass and everything in-between.

Ive been coming here for a few years and it has always been a good experience. The guys were always helpful and extremely knowledgeable. Recently it has gotten some new management, two amazingly sweet women. The customer service level, (especially for us ladies trying on clothes) and overall friendly atmosphere in the shop has given the place some fresh, happy and inviting energy. Definitely stop in. Ive shop here many times and today was my last time. Went with my wife today and she over heard one of the workers tell his co-worker to watch them. The guy never made eye contact while helping me and seemed to not like our presence when we walked in. If your melanin is heavier than normal Id suggest not shopping here!!

I had selected an item from the shelf to purchase and immediately was approached abruptly by a woman named Kayla that asked me to keep the item up front behind the register. Which normally would be fine but she offered no other help or service which tells me she thought I was trying to steal it. When she approached me I was looking at a case hoping too see something inside but she didnt even stop to ask if I wanted help or had any questions. Turned me off from the whole experience, I bought my 1 item and left and wont be returning

Been going here for a while now and have never had a bad experience. This is definitely the place to go to if you’re looking for unique pieces and accessories at an affordable price. The staff here is always extremely polite and helpful, Brandon and Bridgette especially! Theyre always quick and ready to help with any questions and concerns and I definitely would recommend this shop over all the others!

This is THE SPOT if you’re looking for anything related to smoking or vaping. Great selection, great team, treat you like a regular the moment you step through the door. They’ve got everything from vapes to water pipes to Delta-9 edibles and everything in between. If you’re looking for some “wavvy” threads they’ve got a nice selection of smoker appropriate attire too. Even as a regular I’m constantly surprised at the quality of service from the employees and find myself coming back all the time. Biggest chiller in the game goes by Brandon. Michael Corleone and the staff were amazing! I am an avid fan of Gods medicine and my friend was new to the process. Not only did Michael update me on technology and all the new ways this medicine can be utilized he also helped my friend pick a quality piece and didnt over sell her. He even geeked out with me as a retired pastry chef in educating me on new ways to work with the medicine. As a business person myself, it is so nice to have a quality customer service experience and be respected as well. GREAT TEAM and GREAT JOB. I would work here if you have on call positions. I have been shopping here for over ten years. They are always stocked with the best glassware as well as all types of hippy clothing and home decor. Management is a little iffy but the store does great, just has a high turn over rate for employees. This location is my favorite.

Friendly staff coupled with amazing inventory on all smoking items you can think makes it one of the best shops in all of Dallas. I was looking for a very specific item (3mm terp pearls) and they were the only store that had them 🙌🏼 Their heady selection is diverse and caters to all price points. Definitely a shop worth visiting if you are new to the area.

Went in tonight and spent almost 60 bucks to come home and find that an important part of my purchase was missing. Rather than giving me a replacement for a few buck I was forced to repurchase the missing item. I wanted to shop more but it was getting late so I had planned on going back in the morning for several hundred dollars worth of merchandise. Way to lose 200 hundred dollars over 10 bucks. Customer service sucks. Not sure how you can continue in this location with this quality customer service. I should have checked the reviews before choosing this store. Drive out of your way to Richardson or Deep Ellum and save yourself the headache and frustration.

The huge and eclectic store inside was a fun surprise. They had a surprisingly unique and diverse selection of all kinds of great items. I would describe the style as a sort of bohemian chic and Earthbound Trading Company hybrid. Definitely different than your typical smoke shop items and with overall much higher quality.

An interesting and unique place. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. They dont bother you when you are looking around and when youre ready they are prompt. Im hoping The Leather Guy, personal consignment, is able to put some of his merchandise on their shelf. I like what they have but Im sort of a beatnik and so I need that kind of old school leather feeling look whether it be a wrist cuff, a pouch for concealment, a knife with a badass sheath or something just out of the ordinary thats unordinary for fun. Check out this store, you will not be disappointed

I purchased a bunch of items. As a black person just supposedly wanting to fail in life, I asked for cbd that wont cause show on drug test. THEY gave me delta 8 cbd for 70$ without any regard for our lives or source of it. Delta 8 definitely shows up on drug test and causes psychological issues. Definitely a no 😊👍

Been coming here for almost a decade. As much as I miss the old location, with its facade and secret back room, the new spot is just as good. Always solid choices of local/American made glass as well as pretty much any tools or supplies you could possibly need. The staff is always helpful and knowledgeable. Suffice to say, retro is my favorite head shops in Dallas.

Local chain culture/head shop. Probably the best overall selection in their industry locally. Stores are clean and well presented and always smelling of nag Champs. Staff is super helpful. Recommended for all of your needs in that range.

This is literally the best smoke shop I have ever been to, and I have been to a few. (note Im not your avarage smoker I like pieces that display art and uniqueness). One of the employees(one with glasses) really took care of me, let me water test pieces I was interested in and was very knowledgeable on the products they have. Definitely will be coming back in the future.

TERRIBLE SERVICE! Rude to a customer who has spent serious money in this place. Asking questions about an $80 item seemed like a problem for this man to answer them. Super rude for no reason. Had someone literally follow me around the whole store while I was looking at stuff like I was going to steal. Has a serious problem with over pricing. Seriously skip this place, save your money and go to literally anywhere else.

Its a very laid back shop everyone in there is very knowledgeable and fun to talk to. Staff is very outgoing and likes to actually talk to people. I have been to other shops were the staff just sits behind a counter and then you have to go get their attention when you need help across the store. Great products, great clothes, great staff, and great service! Keep it up.

This place is so awesome! I came here to look around and get a gift for my wife and they were very helpful and friendly. They gave me many good gift ideas and I ended up buying something so cool, my wife will love it. Really cool place with really cool stuff and really cool staff. Im a customer for life.

Retro Revolution employees are very knowledgeable about their products and answered every question we had. They go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and safe. Their facility is in a safe area and there was no sales pressure. Being from out of state, they took down my info to make sure I get my items before I head home. Their selection is awesome, too. Will definitely return!

Okay store, felt very watched but acceptable since its very tiny inside. Has good selection of clothing and accessories.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would, not only are they over priced but they have terrible customer service. The employee Cooper helped me find shesha and coals. He provided the wrong coals and the wrong kind of torch so my shesha went to waste. I wanted the insta light coals, which they weren’t, so I used the entire torch on one coal. The manager and employee Brandon admitted fault and said they were in the wrong but still refused to issue me a refund, the manager actually laughed at me before he called the owner. The only reason he called the owner was because I let them know I wasn’t even carded when my I made my purchase. Brandon initially was very combative until I let him know I’m not there to argue or fight I just want this resolved and he seemed to calm down. Brandon said as long as you look 35 we don’t have to show your license but when I asked him how old I looked he said 26. I was told the owners would be giving me a call on Monday but instead they had Brandon call me, who once again was combative and wouldn’t let me talk so I politely ended the call.

Kayla (hope I spelled it right) was awesome explaining which products to use to clean my rig and helping me choose the right banger, Jim was an awesome dude to help me choose a great torch for a beginner like me and Johnathan was so helpful checking to see if was already taken care of as well as seeing if I needed anything else. All in all loved the experience for my first time being in this shop and Im sure anyone who else reads this you will not regret coming here!

This is one of my favorite head shops in Dallas and I’ve lived here my whole life. It always has the coolest things from jars to clothes to crystals. They got it all.

The place is awesome. Its a little better priced then other smoke shops. But the clothing side is way over priced. But hey I understand overhead is a B. All in all I have always loved retro rev. The staff is always friendly.

I came in for a lighter, best to get a pretty one. And the clothing there is very retro and very beautiful! Thanks to Monica, your suggestions were excellent and really pulled the outfit together! Wrap around pants are so comfortable. And I got some delicious incense while I was there, too.

Ive been going to this smoke shop for awhile. About four times now in total over the course of finding it a year ago. Time to write a review!Overall: A+++ Place. One of the least shady head shops in Dallas, in my opinion. Most smoke shops in Dallas have this very clinical, kinda low-key scary vibe to them or double as sex-shops. This one has a very cool, bohemian vibe to it and has a much more warm feel to it. They have neat bohemian clothing, jewelry, etc. The place smells nice and is very clean.Staff: The staff is honestly what sells me on this place. They are kind, knowledgeable, and very chill. I had a question about water pipes. Rather than try to upsell me on a pretty pipe that was going to break, he helped me buy something functional for less than what I was looking for. He took the time to explain different types to me and really made me feel welcomed. Every return trip has been the same. Really nice people that make me want to spend my money there.Prices/Merchandise: Huge selection of pipes, herbal supplements, and accessories. I was surprised that each month I visit theres tons of new stuff each time. Someone claimed that they were overpriced but I can attest that their competitors in the area are more expensive. They have a fair range on all their smoke accessories and you can get quality stuff without spending more than sixty bucks.So yeah. If youre looking for a cool smoke shop where you arent semi-worried about getting stabbed in the parking lot and dont have to walk past 12 adult novelty isles to get to the goods, this place is for you.

I really like this place and want to come back. Never in my life have I’ve been asked to show I.D when using my own debit card. The crazy part im the only one he asked to show I.D. All the other people didn’t get asked to see I.D.

Rude lady at the register. No respect, not organized and very slow. What a shame, you guys were close to my house, would have been a regular. Bought some stuff a few months ago from here once and the guy that sold it to me was a real employee to represent this place. Professional, respectful and also knows his stuff to give advice about some things youre not sure off. Please she need to know how to talk to customers and respect them. All in all the place is cool, has a bunch of stuff.

Cool place actually know one of the guys at work series is a good guy very helpful all the staff theres real nice its not a lot for me in that store and I do like to look around in it my girlfriend loved it she she had a lot of good things to say about it

I love how my wife and I shop here frequently and almost every time we do we have staff constantly breathing down our necks and watching like we’re a couple of thieves. Definitely wouldn’t call this place a welcoming environment. As a P.O.C I deal with enough scrutiny in “professional settings”.

I was recommended the wrong item I did not ask for. Maybe I should have reiterated again what I was looking for. Thats not the issue. No problem.I realized the item that was sold to me was incorrect. I went back in, not even 15 mins later, not asking for a refund - but just an even exchange for the item Iactually needed - also $2.99. So, The item cost $2.99 and the people that worked there made way too big a deal of it. Instead of just swapping it out easily and being cool about it to satisfy a new customer. They made me write down my full name and phone number on a piece of paper, and nervously explained they must keep the receipt!. Over such a petty exchange, I was almost made to feel as how dare I express my concern as a customer and exchange something I literally just bought. I was very likely to go back to buy more expensive items in future. But after all that, may just keep my money or go elsewhere. God forbid I try to exchange a small item they misinformed me about 😬 Yeesh. They may ask for your life report.Also, dont buy incense here. Old & expired. Who knows how long its been sitting there. Years maybe.Waste of money.

These employees are so kind and offer a good conversation. They know what theyre talking about and have a strong passion in what they sell. If you ever need supplies for your smoking needs, these guys got you covered.

I went in today, a regular customer, and was told I had a fake ID. I’m 24, I moved here from Washington state, and although my ID is unfamiliar it is definitely real. I don’t have another one so I’m lucky the dude behind the counter gave it back.Never coming back here after that, ridiculous

Randomly bumped into this amazing place yesterday. The people there are extremely nice and are under new management. There products are the real deal. I will totally bring all my friends to this place. They just gained a loyal customer. Worth it is promise.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. I was looking at rolling trays and someone decided to place a wooden box on the edge so when I picked up the tray it fell and two employees were quick to grab it and make me pay almost $30 for the wooden box for breaking. It cost me $30 just to look at rolling trays and they had no consideration. Worst customer service. I will be posting review on every website I can.

They were very friendly! Asked about us and our interest. I felt very welcomed. They even held my merch for me while I shopped around at other stores. Overall great merch and shopping experience! Will be back!

Really cute shop with a broad selection of stuff for witchy and hippie types like me :)They have the usual stuff you’ll find in a smoke shop, but also things you see a little less often: body jewelry, regular jewelry for more “alternative” types, clothes, tarot cards, and some decor. Super fun.

My friend ALWAYS breaks my glass pieces. Hes dropped my new piece twice now, and it hasnt broken. Needless to say, this store sells quality stuff! Definitely recommend.

This shop is the best in DFW. They have reasonable to excellent prices on glass, sell a wide range of CBD products. The staff is super friendly and helpful. When i need smoking accessories or CBD oil for my senior dog, RETRO is where i go.

Literally spent 2k here last night , with 2 huge bags full of products, and 2 disposables ended up being defective, and they won’t make it right… ok, ill try out some other shops next time

Got a piece for my wife on her birthday, and it got broke since then. We haven’t been able to find the same one anywhere online or any shops. Came here and after hearing our situation Jay got on the phone and we now have the exact same piece being brought in by the maker. I am very new to vaping and not always sure what questions to ask. I was at the store shopping for a new portable vaping device. If you’ve ever shopped for one you know how many options and different features there are. I was incredibly nervous and dreading the experience. However from the moment I walked in Shane and Jake put my worries at ease. They were quick to help, so patient thoughout my questions and smiled the whole time. I can’t say enough good things about my experience and will definitely be coming back again. Additionally I love my new Pax 3 :)

I loved this place. Friendly and knowledgeable staff and almost more selection than I could handle with my indecisive arse. I wanted to move in for real, but unfortunately, they had too much awesome stuff and no room for me. #bummer

I went for some new glass items. I was blown away with their merchandise selection. Artesian glass artesian clothing great and want to be accessories for all types of smoke just blown away.

Dont get me wrong the people there are nice and nah s*** its appealing. The stuff there looks awesome! But since its Organic so Everything costs well a price that could put my wallet in 3 tombstones. Seriously guys I get it, stick it to the man and make your own Merch. But its also called the man makes money because he sells his Merch at REASONABLE prices -__- Please Lower down the expectations and make things reasonably priced.~My Only Complaint.

This is a great small business to support. They have smoking accessories, clothing, and other essential hippie gear. They have knowledgeable help and a good selection of Kratom and CBD. They even have terpines to add to vape.

Lots of options in this place, not the best prices but they are probably the only ones with that product. The return policy could be better especially when they made the mistake. Overall the people are nice and friendly and really try to help you.

This place is useless. Ive been here 3 times and have yet to make a purchase. Either their credit card machine is broken or they are out of stock in rolling papers or tobacco. There are better and more reliable headshops out there

A friend turned me on to using gemstones to focus your prayers and they had a good stock of ones I did not already have. Its Unique little shop lots of retro clothing
