Great place for a meal and drinks. We went for karaoke night and were pleasantly surprised by the food. The fried mac is good and the onion rings are great. There are a lot of tables and a good amount of seating at the bar.

Depending on what youre looking for and when, Molly Darcys can be lots of things to lots of people.Under normal circumstances - its a great Irish restaurant.Its a great quiet bar on regular nights with friendly and knowledgeable bartenders.And if youre up to dance all night on Saturday nights when they have a band- its awesome!!! Its alive with people and the music rocks and throbs rhythmically with the people on the dance floor.

Took my wife here for Irish weekend dinner. She loves this place. I think she might be Irish. Alan was very cool and we had great conversation.My wife said she cant believe Jill still works here. And went on to tell me fun things i cant say here.

This place is HUGE inside. Line dancing on Tuesdays. That’s fun. The food was just okay. Corn beef sandwich was very dry. The fries were too fried. The Guinness Beer I had was fantastic. Oh I had their whiskey wings on the happy hour menu tangy and tasty.

I thought this place was good. Service was good, place was clean including the bathrooms and the food was good. Very plain. My wife had the Shepard pie and both my kids had the bbq Mac and Cheese Burger. I had the bacon Cheeseburger with fries. We all finished our meals but just didnt get really excited about it. Parking was easy. The total bill was around 95 bucks including drinks and 2 appetizers ( very reasonable). I think we would have liked it better if the atmosphere was more energetic. Still enjoyed the place

Always great food, good selection of drinks, and PLEASE make sure to tip exceptionally well. They all work so hard to make it a great experience.Ive been going since 2013 when in the area for work, and typically beeline there for dinner, then TV, and more often conversation with Alan.

I hosted my wedding Rehearsal Dinner here and would definitely recommend! Tatiana, the event coordinator, was wonderful from day one! She answered all my questions and I always have a lot of them. We ended up being in the area a few months before our event so we got to check out the space in person but she also shared pictures via email.. On our rehearsal dinner day, she decorated for us, created the menu and helped us make food decisions. We also hosted our after party in the same space!We didnt want anything fancy so its definitely more casual for a rehearsal dinner but it was perfect for us and a reasonable cost.

Passing through the area with our German Shepherd pup and got to take her to dinner with us out on the patio. Love dog friendly places. Staff was friendly and brought her water, which she spilled everywhere. Had the Shepherds pie, of course, and the mashed potatoes were creamy and delicious, although it was too much meat for me. So many options on the menu.

Came here for karaoke with friends and it was a great time. Everyone was having fun , and I would definitely recommend

Such a great choice for a group get-together. Our waitress was kind and efficient. She handled 9 guests from 7 to 70 and their quirkswith ease. Everyone left full and happy. Some even had leftovers.

Do not order food from here through any type of delivery service. I was delivered the wrong meal, reported it through the platform, and the restaurant refused to remake the order for me. I ordered the salmon and was really looking forward to it. Instead I got a roast beef sandwich, French fries, and soup. The lack of effort and customer service is horrendous and no one should spend their money here.

Once my peers and I were welcomed into the entrance of Molly Darcy’s, we knew the night was gonna be epic. To make a long story short, i danced my freaking shoes off! I was literally in these exact socks on the Molly Darcy stage, you see how spotless these puppies are?? Where was the kitchen, I looked all night??

We had a party for my moms 90th bday there yesterday. It was fantastic. Tatiana the manager was just the best helping to organize. She went above and way beyond. The brunch food was outstanding as was all the staff. I highly recommend Mollys for a party or just to stop by for a meal.

We have been here twice and both times the food was excellent. The first time was just my daughter and I and I happen to be a very loud Christmas party but the food was so good we came back with my husband and other daughter and were not disappointed. We are so used to bad service and okay food since covid I refuse to spend my money at many of our old favorites. We live in the Bristol area and it is about an hour ride but its was well worth the trip.

Good service but the food I had was not that good. Could have been my particular choice, but it was recommended by the bar tender. I asked for cheese fries and got two slices of cheese melted on fries... and the fries were not that good. Looked great but the steak sandwich was quite tough.

Shepherds pie was very good. Place is clean but a little dark inside. Needs some natural light coming inside. Outside when you walk up could use some work as by front door look a little messy.If food is all your looking g for the def go. Waitress was very nice and stayed on top of follow up.

Live band and also a very good DJ mixed it up so that everyone enjoyed themselves. And the food was awesome and the drinks were done up very well.

During tonight’s Tuesday night line dance session where I was guest instructing, I was told by someone named Justin that “this is not a dance hall” and that diners were complaining about the lesson track being played more than once. Here’s the thing—there were only two diners (I checked), and the place advertises Tuesday evening as “line dancing night” on the marquee when you walk in the front door. Folks were either drinking at the bar or dancing on the dance floor to the line dance DJ. In my 30 years of traveling the world and teaching/entertaining at a multitude of different venues, I’ve never been treated so rudely. (FYI, this is just a snippet of all the things Justin had to say.) I will not be back.

Food service drinks and atmosphere is always great, except all the people selling and doing Coke in the bathrooms. Makes me afraid to touch anything in there. Also, Pattie, your behavior toward customers is NOT it. I came in last Saturday at 8:30 PM with a friend, had dinner and drinks and planned to stay all night. Went outside to meet another friend, I let the bouncer know, to come in and be harassed by Pattie saying I neeed to pay a cover and that I am sneaking in, I tried to tell her my coat is literally hanging on my chair at the bar and I have an open tab already, she started yelling at me telling me I was lying, then proceeded to tell my friend she can pay for me and I can pay her back. I wasn’t going to have someone act this way and bully people so I got the bartender to come tell her I’ve been there for hours already. Pattie didn’t even apologize. I told her I was going to let the owner know and she said she was the owner. Which I know is not the case. I truly should have left in that instance and let Pattie pay for my open tab at the bar since she was so positive I was sneaking in. But I decided to be the bigger person.

Great band (The Zoo) and nice dance floor. I would go back again! 👍

I understand this is a bar/pub however they boast a chef.Had bourbon tips - was a piece of steak cut up Not done as asked. Only one strip was medium. Dipping sauce was just Mayo. Irish sausage rolls with tomatoes chutney . Chutney was just tomato sauce. Chopped salad- barely any bacon, no flavor.Go to Fiddler’s. They have Great food and crowd.

Was already there a few times and I’ll definitely come back!The food is great, stuff are nice, they serve food till late, and every night there is a different activity (live music, dancing etc.)

I hadnt been there for a while, but it was very nice, music was great,they had country dancing until 11 pm it was very nice after that dj was very good the drinks were good too definitely be back more often 😀 👍

We had our wedding rehearsal dinner/party there this past weekend and it was EXCELLENT! We chose the “cocktail hour” option for our guests (we had 70 and they fit us comfortably). All of the food was excellent - I particularly recommend adding on the shepherd’s pie! Tatiana and all of the staff were extremely professional, courteous, and attentive to us and our guests the entire evening. Highly recommend this place for events! We’ve also been a few times just for dinner and always have a great meal. Thank you Molly’s for being a special part of our wedding weekend!!

Had my wedding rehearsal dinner here, and it was fantastic working with them. Professional staff while still being warm. The food? Incredible. Honestly, one of the best meals through the whole wedding weekend! Working with Tatiana made the whole experience easy and enjoyable, and we’d do it all again in a heartbeat!

Went here after a trip to Thrillz down the street for a friends birthday, I’ve never had worse service in my life. Our server (the blonde skinny one) was VERY rude and messed up almost every order. She served us all drinks but when in came to my trans friend she condescendingly refused her ID saying it was fake. We had the bartender come over to confirm it was VERY real as it was that friends 23rd birthday. After being proved wrong we barely saw her again except for when she brought the check. We also asked her to bring a dessert to sing happy birthday to our friend in private. She loudly asks in front of the entire table “WHO IS THE BIRTHDAY CAKE FOR AGAIN?” Way to ruin the surprise. Had to beg other servers and bartenders to bring our drink orders. Waited on our drinks and apps for 40+ minutes. The bartender and other server helped but overall the service was horrendous. Food sucked too. Would never come back save your money!

Never liked this place. The crowd it attracts is equally bad as any Ive seen. Can never get service in a timely manner in a weekend, and when you do the servers have been pretty rude. A very popular spot, though I dont know why. Maybe people like getting ignored and listening to lame music.

We went on a Tuesday night which is Line Dancing night. It was a lot of fun, the instructor and other patrons were very nice and patient with us being beginners.We had dinner here too which was delicious. I ordered the soup of the day which was very filling as well as fish and chips. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. I would go back given the opportunity!

Worst experience of my life. I went with a group of friends and needless to say I was truly scared to death. The bouncer created a horrible situation for no reason what so ever and physically hurt 2 of the men I was with. I will not only never go back but never recommend anyone to go. We were totally bring intimidated from the second we walked in

My nephews threw a 70 Bday/retirement party for their mother on 10/29. Two servers were assigned to the party.The appetizers were skimpy & blah, no taste. Drink orders took a long time. Service was really slow. Appetizers were forgotten about & brought out after the buffet was out. Buffet food blah as well. Coffee was not offered to guest unless you asked the server. Big disappointment !! Never again !!

Updated review: Still the same score. New menu is great and the look of the bar has a new and peaceful look while still retaining some old great features. I ordered the BBQ Mac Burger. If you want a messy burger then this one is for you. I expected it to be a literal handful. I did not take a picture as i was so excited to eat it. Cooked the right way and cheese and mac fell out onto the fries, which was a blessing as it makes mac and cheese fries. Needless to say i cleaned my plate of all items. Nate was my server and bartender, very nice and accommodating. I enjoyed my visit back and hope to visit a bit more often.

For our convenience, we placed a takeout order which was right next door to our condo.If you were to take two handfuls of sawdust, pack it tight, add some lettuce, melted cheese, and peppers you would end up with a jucier sandwich than their $14.99 grilled chicken sandwich. That was by far THE WORSE chicken sandwich EVER that I have had (and that is over 60+ years). At least the 20 or so previously frozen and warmed up Supermarket fries were edible.RUN AWAY to Chick-Fil-A. Much better sandwich for less than 1/2 price.Re: FISH N CHIPS. For $ 19.99, you get two fried fish pieces that looked like egg rolls. Far from being fresh fish and more likely rewarmed packaged fish available at Sams Club. The bouncers are a joke in there trying to look cool (actually vaping) inside too. Pretty unprofessional if you ask me. The crowd is always to uptight. Watched the musical band The Zoo, but whoevers doing the sound in this location didnt do a good job, vocal was either to low or feedback. So a decent band didnt sound up to par, thanks to the venue. The food Ive only dared to order appetizers is average at best.

Went on a Saturday. Had an awesome time, great music great vibes and they have a pool table. Everything gets started around 9-10pm, but before that its chill, you can grab a few drinks and grub with your friends. The troopers are posted outside, so bring DD and drink some h2o

A unique and different style bar. The drinks are always good and while they are a little steep on some drink beverages the atmosphere is great. The have two pool table and a couple arcade games. I just wish there was more room around the pool tables or located in different spot.

Just had dinner with my wife and kids; ages 10 and 12. My wife and I each had a Paddy Burger while the kids had pasta with butter and chicken tenders of course. Our waitress for the evening was Gabby. She was great!!!! She made us feel welcome and right at home. Food was very good, but Gabby made our dining experience great. Well be back and hopefully we get her again.

2 pool tables and fairly quiet on a Sunday night, just as I like it. Did get a very this is our place feel from a couple groups of patrons but nothing negative, certainly nothing wrong with the staff or service, quite attentive.

Went on a night without live music, and aside from the bar the place was near empty. Ordered the potato skins, which were bland and tasted freezer burned or just old. The table had the fish and chips, which were a great portion, but mulchy and bland; as well as the chicken pot pie, which was okay, but nothing to write home about. The kids Mac and cheese was pretty good, and the side of vegetables was well seasoned.Service was good, but like someone else mentioned, the decor is dingy and dark. Maybe go for the live music for a better time.

Food is good but I suggest another place if you want a quiet date because there is insanely loud music. Sometimes it was hard to hear the waitress. Decent selection of beer and Im pretty sure the full bar will make anything for you even if its not on the cocktail menu.

I had a very bad experience here with some very over zealous bouncers that threw me into a wall by my neck. I normally do not give bad reviews as I know it can hurt a business, but when the manager basically supported his staff in beating up a patron that is hired to maintain order creates worse situations business will suffer. The police had to pull this bouncer off of me. I will never visit this establishment again. This should never happen to someone who is complying with the restaurants policies.

Terrible service. The manager was nasty and rude. We use to come here alot before Covid. After this visit we will not be back. We always did separate checks and this time they wouldnt. Tbey also had a band that night. The DJ play more of his nasty music then the band did.

Very quiet restaurant, the chicken pot pie was in the picture had a good flavor the chicken inside was a bit dry but still had a lot of flavor. The chicken strips on my friends order were moist the breading had a mild spice to it. Both came piping hot. Apple pie was delicious, but, if your lactose intolerant be sure to ask they not put the ice cream on it because it comes with it.

I loved the idea of a club right now and until it started getting really crowded it was fun but no one was really wearing a mask, the bartender mask was below his face when serving customers and they allowed vaping inside. Nice place but is not safe nor clean bring your own sanitizer as there is no soap in the bathroom. They dont clean the tables after use and everything was sticky. But the dj played some great music would have loved to stay but the safety protocols were no enforced and could be a breading ground for covid. Heads up! Was not there for food just the club after hours

Came in with a group ready to have a good time, got virgin drinks pretty much. Also who on earth serves a non blended margarita in a tiny rocks glass, wheres the effort!? We took our money elsewhere, certainly wont be back.

Mollys is a Great atmosphere even during covid. All the bartenders are very friendly and hygienic. There are hand sanitizers on every foot of the bar and along all the seating. while social distancing we still had a GREAT time with Mollys. We had the new cheeseburger with goat cheese and it was amazing!Good music great drinks. I cant wait to really party here with that massive dance area!!! for now dancing is prohibited and the DJ announces every 5 minutes to have your mask on.See you this Thursday!

DJ catering to 20 yr old crowd, awful music mix. Not a good Friday night! -1!Update was there last night 8/6/21, nothings changed. Female dj couldnt mix, n bass was as loud as what I play in my car.🙄 How about a professional dj, and bring bands back! Headed to Puerta V, had an awesome time! DJ is always primo.

Its a great place to go dancing and let loose and have some great drinks. On Tuesday nights they have line dancing from like 8 to 1 p.m. its a great place just a kickback have a great time and relax!

Ordered takeout sandwiches after a soccer game before our 2.5 hour ride back to RI. Everything was delicious. Could have eaten outside but weather sis not permit.

For Saturday night, they had a live band and DJ alternating. DJ was good but band was not my taste. Had gin and tonics, bar was quick. Not a large beer selection on tap.

Driving from PA to Hartford. Went during lunch on a Saturday. Got a burger supposed to be medium but cooked medium well to well. Also got the chicken finger platter which was expensive for 3 flimsy overcooked bland tasting chicken fingers. French fries were their saving grace - those were good. There was also no soap dispenser in the mens room. Hopefully thats a temporary situation. Overall, quite overpriced, no lunch specials, and food was subpar. Definitely recommend trying somewhere else.

My very favorite Irish pub. I go to the Danbury location frequently for good food,atmosphere and the help are friendly and on the ball. The Myrtle Beach location is a mirror in service food and atmosphere.

A very nice place with DJ music, dance floor, bar games opportunity, and a decent bar. Theres a $5 fee to get in. The party usually starts later last time the dance floor got crowded around midnight, but the place lives even before that.

Entertainment was fun and very very entertaining and talented bartenders were great service was nice but the food was horrible. We will go back for the band and the attentive bar tenders. Ill have dinner elsewhere.

The food was good, but they charge you $5.00 per beer! The beer was almost more expensive than the food itself. Very disappointed, I just came here for a nice St. Patricks day brunch.😤

Its OK for the area, but definitely skews toward a younger crowd. Live music is always fun, and DJ is decent, though not great. Sometimes the music doesnt flow from one track to another.

Probably the best Irish food Ive ever had, and I grew up in New York. Great place to spend Saint Patricks Day. The food was delicious, the help was friendly and quick, awesome selection of beer, and live Irish music!

DO NOT GO HERE!!! I dont usually write reviews, One of the bouncers randomly dragged me out last night because he automatically assumed I was taking pictures of girls. I clearly told him I have a girlfriend and me and my buddies just come here to drink. He calls the cops on me and tries to get me arrested whom choked me and pulled me out. That is disgusting and unprofessional behavior. Save yourself the trouble hes out of control he always tries to fight people too.

Ok Service, my order (house specialty) got nixd so I ordered a cobb salad, much smaller than others I have ever had anywhere else, and very small for the price, but very good. Bar/drinks very expensive, could not taste any alcohol.

As mentioned, the portions will fill you up. This isnt just your usual iris grub only. The chicken supreme was excellent. The drinks were full and satisfying. Even the Ice tea was strong..

Its always worth stopping by when Irene has a meet up there. If they dedicated more time to good dance music theyd get a larger turnout I think.

They serve minors, as long as your 18+ at the door, they let you drink. seen plenty of underage kids.puking out back on the patio.. but the staff of Mollys doesnt care. but you will get kicked out for wearing a hat!

Local people were great. The management sucked though. Over priced for Danbury. Very little to do with Irish pub more like what it really is, an old disco trying anything to survive.

Great atmosphere is displayed here with a well thought out floor plan. Great prompt bar service and great selections. Live music caters to the crowd it draws nicely.

Great atmosphere! Pool tables that take quarters gave my buds and I something to do while we caught up and had some drinks.

Food was awesome and the service is excellent. Great atmosphere here. They also have a dartboard and a couple billiard tables.

This is the third time that I order one beer and received a different type of beer. They do not update their beer handles to match the beer. If the handles don’t match, it’s okay but please at least notify the customer of the change.

There is a cover charge,the lights go on at 1, and it is really hard to get a drink. But there is almost always a good crowd, and they have a good smoking section.

Have only gone during the night life, where there is an existence of people but seems to lack the actual life of a party. The music, when live, doesnt suit the mood which brings a damper to the listeners, emptying the dance floor to pray for the DJ to come back.

Went there the other night on a Thursday at 12:30 I was told bar was open till 2:00 and got shoved out the door like a piece of trash. Although I like the atmosphere I doubt Ill be back.

Molly Darcys used to be a place that me and My friends and family used to enjoy spending a lot of time in... A lot of my friends and family stop going to that place because Of this fact, ... Food is awful, service is terrible we were regulars, never gonna go back again. A previous staff member told me that they don’t use proper sanitation when handling produce. I also think they are slightly prejudice being that I am a minority. I would leave zero stars if I could.

Sunday brunch had good food and bottomless bellini, mimosas or bloody Marys. Very enjoyable. Staff was friendly too.

Molly Darcys is great for a night out. Its kind of dirty and expensive. But the atmosphere and live music is always great!

Best irish food in danbury

I want to like this place as the staff is always kind but the food is bland. I love Irish food and I like things like black pudding but here its just flavorless.

Best food and bartenders!! I had the salmon and it was delicious, highly recommend for a fun night also!

Meh. Kind of cavernous for an Irish pub and nothing stood out to differentiate from similar places other than that it seems like it used to be a tiki themed place and they left some of the tiki accents intact which is odd.

I enjoyed the food. A wider selection of beers, especially local, would be great.

I came here on 9/11 The workers here seemed very intoxicated and they were saying F 9/11 and that those pigs deserved it and im a veteran and they pushed me

Great food, great entertainment, great prople. Come for dinner and stay and party with DJs and bands on the weekend.

Really liked it, pool table, games they do country music dancing was super fun.
