Yayas Thai Massage Therapy

My husband and I went for a couples massage yesterday. To begin, the therapist seemed irritated and overwhelmed. We ignored the red flag and proceeded. I asked for a light pressure and got an elbow in every part of my body including my inner thighs. My husband and I were dressed down to only a towel covering us and the door was left open for the therapists to be able to see. At one point the phone rang and my therapist left the room to answer. A part of me felt upset because she was walking away from massaging me after I had already paid for the hour, another part of me felt relieved to have a break of the torture I was receiving. I could go on but needless to say I would give this less than one star if I could.

Today I decided for the first time to get reflexology. I pass by this place all the time and reflexology is listed on their window (LARGE ON THEIR WINDOW BTW). When I went in and asked about the service, the masseuse seemed confused about what I was asking for. Then said “oh a foot massage”, and told me it would be 60 bucks for 30 minutes (in hindsight this is extremely overpriced). I paid first and went into the room. When I got there, she told me to take off my pants and lay on my stomach. I asked why do I need to take my pants off for a foot massage 😂? Honestly I didn’t expect to lay down either. I told her I would only lift my pants legs up, and then I laid down. Which I thought was extremely odd, but I’ve never done this service before. She then massaged my feet while humming so loudly. I’m not even exaggerating. She was humming over the “relaxing” music every massage parlor plays. I seriously thought I was being punk’d by this whole experience. The foot massage was not great and definitely over priced.

The masseuse seemed a little inexperienced. Mostly spent the time just rubbing rather than actually massaging. Though not the worst Ive had in the past, I still left feeling a little a little sore. R & T for 40, if youre willing. Overall, wouldnt say I was disappointed with my experience but likely wouldnt make a second trip.

GREAT hidden gem right near my house. Ive had a Thai massage in the past, but this establishment knocked it out of the park!Nina was awesome and u could tell she had ALOT of experience. I wanted to come back the next day but controlled myself! Lol. The room was SO NICE, very clean and inviting. I wasimpressed by how beautifully done it was. Will definitely be back!

Was visiting family for the holidays and decided to visit Yama’s Thai Massage Therapy. Was able to walk in, however they do recommend calling ahead to set up appointment as they book up fast and have limited therapists available any given day. Was greeted very warmly opted for the 1 hour. Massage and conversation was very relaxing. Love the stretches and extensions to help warm up my back and legs. Felt like a million bucks after. Highly recommend visiting and giving Yaya Thai Massage Therapy a try 👍

Had already seen chiropractor daily for weeks with no results. Went to Yayas in extreme pain from Sciatic Nerve. Today I felt no pain!! It was painful during treatment but so worth it. Very professional and knowledgeable! easy to make appointment. Super clean facility! 10 out of 10!

This was our first time getting a professional massage and, to say the least, Yayas did not disappoint. I had the pleasure of getting massaged by Yaya herself, and she did a phenomenal job. She checked in with me regularly to make sure I was still doing okay, managed to find all my knots, and popped my back in three different places. Awesome service, 10/10 would recommend.

Yaya is an incredible personality and masseuse. I have been needing another *good* massage for years since returning from overseas. These women are not like your chain massage parlors who just rub hands over the surface of the skin. This is a place to go for the actual health benefits of stretching, kneading, and working through the knots buried in your muscles. I will absolutely be returning to these extraordinary women who have made a friendly, relaxing atmosphere for their work and clients.

I am absolutely in love with this place! I have immune issues and therefore have constant pain all over, but it’s my shoulder that tends to hold all of my stress. These ladies take care of it every time! They are absolutely amazing. It’s clean, they’re considerate and kind, and I always leave more flexible and relaxed both physically and mentally! I would highly recommend you give them a shot!

Love coming here for massages. My first time getting a thai massage was about 6 months ago, and now I prefer to only get thai massage. The stretching is soo beneficial and not too hard on the body

A hidden gem. Never had a thai massage but this place was fantastic. Was quick to accommodate me. I have chronic shoulder pain, and they took the time to massage me and and stretch me out, and the prices were very good. Definitely should check out this place.

My first Thai massage and I had a great experience. They really know what they’re doing, are able to get into some super tight areas especially in my shoulders and hips. I like a lot of pressure almost to the point of hurting and they have it if that’s your style! I am definitely going back and would recommend this place to my friends.

We arrived at Yayas yesterday for our SECOND couples massage. Unfortunately, this experience was NOTHING like our first time there..The woman at the desk who I think was Yaya, was cold and seemed annoyed by our presence. (I guess she didnt identify us as one of their locals/regular customers). She did not greet us or introduce herself..after telling her we were there for our scheduled appointment we were handed paperwork to fill out. Once, the paperwork was completed WE WERE REQUIRED to pay. Weve had countless massages and have NEVER been required to pay PRIOR TO RECEIVING A MASSAGE. The room was dull and uninviting; it didnt even look clean. The sheets/covers on the massage tables were old and worn. The towels we were given to cover up with were torn and too small. My massage felt rushed and inattentive. The lotion or oil used during the massage dried my skin out and to add injury to insult she (I think her name was Minh or Ming) kept putting MORE on..Her hands were dry, my skin was dry, parts of the massage felt more like friction (sandpaper) than anything else. She also STOPPED my massage to go answer the phone/attend to the front desk. I specified in the paperwork for the massage therapist to NOT touch my face/head. She did anyway. My husband rates his massage (given by Yaya) as 5 out of 10. Due to poor costumer service, poor communication/language barrier, and an overall terrible experience, well be taking our business elsewhere. In conclusion, the energy of yesterdays services can be summed up in one sentence, YOU PAY, YOU GO, NOW..

YaYa is the one to go to for deep tissue massage. She is simply the best. Being small she is just the right weight for walking on your back. Your lower back will feel wonderful. The rooms have large beds and the linens have always been clean. I had a 5 star experience. Enjoy

First time, we wanted to try something different. If you want to try something different, I would 100% recommend trying them out. Like us you will prob never go back to a chain massage business. Yaya and Candy were wonderful and worked all the troubled areas out. The hot stone and stretching was amazing as well. Now, I will say It is a thai massage so if you are not okay with feet you may not be a fan. But, give them a try!

Wow. If you want results you must first suffer. Yaya may be small but the lady is an expert in her work. A deep tissue authenticate Thai massage with her is a very true. I have been getting Thai massages for over 30 years in Thailand and here in the states it is hard to get. I recommend Yayas for a great Thai massage.

I had the best experience at YaYa’s she felt the knots in my muscles and worked them right out and the stretching was awesome. Thai massage for the win this will be my go to for tension and stress relief. Thank you YaYa

I have been getting massages for over 30 years. I must say, it is the best, most caring. These people worked with me, work through my 15 year fight with cancer. They helped me after my major heart surgery. I have learned the importance of what I eat and drank. I even grow in my garden many of the plants that help me survive. I forgot to say that they have cared for me for 5 years. Thank you!

Absolutely wonderful. It got out way more kinks and sore spots than any other massage I’ve ever had. I will definitely be back!!

This place is amazing! It was an amazing experience and Nina did awesome I had a deep tissue 90 min and it was more than I expected and I loved how Nina talked me through what was happening to my body she genuinely cared about where my problem areas were and truly wanted to help . I dont think it couldve gotten any better! Thank you yayas!

One of my most favorite places to go. Mina is amazing. She studied 4 long years in her home country. Everyone is very professional, safe and very clean.

The masseuse was friendly and considerate. She has strong hands and knows how to help you feel relaxed. Its close by 45 for those that travel to and from galveston. I would recommend this place for people that are stressed or women who are pregnant.

Excellent massages, great environment, and good prices. They will always take care of you and make sure you money is well spent.

Yaya gave me a great massage. Dont let her size fool you. She has a grip like vice grips. If you want a deep tissue massage you need to see her.

Awesome massage Tina, the therapist great knowledge is kind of quiet but knows where to put pressure in the problematic areas.

I paid for a 90 minute massage and got about 60 minutes worth. When I asked about it the lady said she started on me much earlier than she actually did. Very frustrating.

YAYA is great with Thai and deep tissue massage. Corrected problem in elbow and shoulder. Highly recommended. Will be returning.
