First time for me there. I love it. All the hosts and staff so nice. For sure I will go back again. The best bar that I had before.

Been there several times over the past few years and enjoyed myself . The dancers are not the best dancers in town , but the performances on the pole bar are amazing at times . The dancers are not as hot as as say , Montreal , but there are some hunks. The bar staff have always been great and so have the front door guys . They always had a big smile and warm greeting when you arrived . The problem at times is the weekends . It gets so packed inside that it’s hard to move around. But , that’s good for the bar . I don’t drink , so I can’t complain about the drink prices . I usually have on or a coke . But then , I am not there for the drinks . Had enjoyed my private dances there and look forward to my next visit ….

WARNING: Do not take cash out here. They clone your debit card in the machine and one of the dancers will steal your PIN number. Then they send it to a friend in another state to try and steal your money. It can be a fun place, but DO NOT TAKE MONEY OUT HERE. The dancers will be watching to try and steal your information.

Uh oh I think some ladies felt unwelcome and are spamming with bad reviews. We come every year for winter vacay and johnsons is always a fun time. Great drinks and friendly dancers. Never feel hustled. Lap dances always on the level in our experience.Yes its meant to be a safe space for gay men. Get over it ladies...there are plenty of other places you are welcome at. Stop hating on this place.

Unsure how this place manages to get a 4+ star rating, as it’s probably one of the worst bars I’ve been to. Drinks were reasonably priced but not good and the barman got the order of 4 drinks wrong. The dancers (if you can call them that) were some of the worst Ive seen, barely putting in any effort and this was on a Saturday night. Wont be rushing back, there are far better places to go nearby

Methed-out dancers literally rob money out of your pocket and threaten you. Don’t go, it’s not safe. And suddenly pretending to not understand English after robbing you. And it smells bad.

Dancer tried to steal my money. Will never go back. After taking me into the back room he insisted that I pay him 100.00 for one song. I already paid 20.00 to go to the back room and then gave him 60.00 just to be nice. I was clearly targeted. 2 other dancers immediately blocked the exit of the room not allowing me to leave. I threatened to call 911 and they dispersed. I brought this up with the security guard that was sitting in the chair and he laughed. I am disappointed that this establishment allows for its straight dancers to intimidate its patrons. I hope this review is taken seriously and people take caution.

Visiting from Tampa and went with a buddy to this Johnson’s. Absolutely loved the experience from the bouncer to the staff to especially the dancers. I happily showed my appreciation $$ to several dancers and had an amazing lap dance from the hottest Venezuelan guy. Now I’ll have to return to Tampa and try that location. Everyone from doorman to DJ does their part to keep gay guests safe and to inform new guests and the occasional female visitor of appropriate gay strip club etiquette such as no screeching, woo-hoos, or cat calls at the dancers. The bar takes credit cards, but you really should come with enough cash to generously tip the dancers and pay the cover charge (Why else are you going to a strip club?). There is also an ATM on site.There may be a few females in the audience, especially on crowded Saturday nights, but the DJ and staff do an excellent job of making sure they act appropriately so the gay men can feel comfortable in this space.Dancers are amazing and for the most part dont haggle over prices. If participating in a private dance, just tell the dancer in advance to stop after X number of songs and he well. This way you wont spend more than you can afford.

First time going there. Went with a coworker. The guys were nice looking but one in particular caught my eye (Wills). Willing to take out a loan to be in the back room with me. Dont drink, but otherwise had a good time

The front desk and staff where Soo rude, me and my two girl friends drove from homestead to have some drinks and have a nice time at this place when we arrive the front desk says that every girl need a man to come in, I understand if I were bringing a bus full of girls but its a gay man and two lesbian friends. For a community bar that prides themselves in inclusive and treating everyone equal this is unbelievable. We were denied entry even when we found a man outside that wanted to help us come in the front desk said were even more rude shouting that they already try to come in. I would not recommend this place that could not make an exception and are extremely rude. And discriminate women.

Door man rude. Only accepts cash. With attitude, directed me to use ATM with $6 fee. Then tapped a dancer that was blocking the isle to the bathroom on the shoulder and asked that I get by him and he snapped at me and said that since I touched him he needs a tip from me. Just for tapping his shoulder. From the staff to the dancers, this place is not what it once was. I will not be going back here.

I love this place! From the parking attendants, to door security, to the sexy bartenders, to the DJ, to the plethora of dancers, it is very obvious that this place is professional and well run. Especially appreciated is their enforcement of a gay male club, keeping the ratio of female guests low. Thank you Management!

The place has nice variety of dancers. Everyone find someone they like. What disappointed me the most is feeling of being cheated. Me and my spouse were celebrating birthday. I got the VIP room for both of us for $160, we were there like 10 minutes max, then dancer left. I felt cheated, then we want another dance and guy was like bring your guy here and so on. I felt not appreciated.

The bartenders are friendly the drinks are excellent you can’t fault them in anyway first service. The parking lot is a nightmare. And the DJ thinks the late 80s music that he plays repeatedly all night long sets a good tone for the club. Wrong! We couldn’t take the music anymore so we finally left. Whoever hires the dancers might want to interview them as their dance skills are something to be desired.

We weren’t allowed to enter the place because I needed another guy to enter. Not inclusive a little bit of discrimination. Just try and see , also no women in the club ! Yes the Gay club.

Guy at the door was rude and unprofessional. As we arrived he raise his voice to us and said just wait here. I let him know that my friend was taking money from ATM and did no care. He raise his voice again. He noticed that I got uncomfortable with the way he treats us and he continued making comments to other employees about me. I decided to take my business somewhere else because I did not want to escalate the situation but we left very disappointed.

A couple of weeks ago I saw a ton of people and lights outside this place... Was way too tipsy so I just went home... The following Wednesday I went in as I wanted a quick drink after work.... Loved this place! Super nice decor, it shows there was care and thought put into the ambiance... The drinks were reasonably priced and big... The staff was super nice and personable... Guess later on they get dancer, but I didnt stay... Was chatting up with one before his show... Not pushy just social... As for people whining about the cover? Please! Thats just being petty!

I thought this place was great. I went on a Wednesday, the mixed drinks are a good size and cheap compared to what I usually pay, the bartender at the main bar was very nice, the bouncer was friendly and talked to me about the area while I was outside smoking a cig (I know), the dancers dont harass you for money, place seems clean. Good experience all together and will definitely return.

I’ve been to Johnsons a few times and the doorman always disappoints me. This time a guy called Roger was the doorman on duty. He was rude with terrible customer service. A friend of mine is visiting town and one of his wishes was to visit Johnsons, that was the only reason why we decided to go in, otherwise, I would find somewhere else to go. The management should select their employees more consciously since the first impression is the one that matters.

Had a great time here. Drinks are very affordable and the atmosphere has a great local feel. Dancers are some of the best looking Ive see compared to other places. $10 cover charge is fine with me since Im going there to spend money anyway. Jeff is my favorite bartender, too.

I was there few days ago. I have the best time of my life in this Bar. Just to be able to dance was be back to life. The good thing they have is they enforce to wear a mask. There are some good dancers likes Angel. He become our favorite and Johnsons become our spot to go in a normal weekday. I hope I can come back again soon.

Johnsons is truly a lot of fun. The Male dancers are mostly really beautiful men. The Bartenders are awesome, even the parking lot attendant is genuinely nice. Go if you want to have a Great time. Just beware, you might spend a bit more than you expected, but it is worth it,!!!

After moving here from Michigan Two years ago because I fell backwards on the Ice and I got a Brain Bleed and I was in the SICU at Beaumont Hospital for 2 months and I wanted to move to some where with no snow and Ice and I wanted to move to a gay Friendly town. I have had 11 more Surgeries and I am doing Better and I wanted to go somewhere exciting and with enjoyment and Fun. I asked my Gay Real Estate Agent about going some places and he told me that Johnsons was the best place for him and me to go and we went while my Caregiver and Partner since 1992 was gone to a Family event and I am not driving. He picked me up and it was a Wonderful Time Shared. I do not drink Alcoholic Beverages and the Nice Young Waiter gave me a glass of ice Water. Went here for my birthday weekend and had an amazing time. Jeff was our bar tender and he did an absolutely great job with mixing our drinks. We got there early and so we were able to talk to him for a while and he was explaining the different drinks and got us to try new ones. Will definitely be back next time we visit

Extremely friendly staff, biggest drinks Ive seen on the drive and theyre fairly priced. The dancers arent grimy like the other strip tease bars in the area. Theyre extremely sweet and seem to love to interact. Ive spent less getting into this bar and on drinks than the other two go-go bars. Its a win win. And the location is prime! I dont have to spend money on an Uber or worry about driving if I have a couple drinks like I would if I were going to the other go-go bars.

All the men are old and cracked out and have really bad acne on some of their faces and bodies. Nnnooooo !

Group of 6 celebrating a birthday - turned away on a Tuesday night because we only had 2 men in our party. Drove down from West Palm Beach. Luckily the location is decent and it didnt take long to find a different venue to spend our money at.

You guys really need to control the mouths of your dances while they are standing outside. There is zero reason that I should hear one of your dancers from all the way across the street screaming “look at this f*gg*t, look at this f*gg*t” as im minding my business walking to the store. He should know how to act like a civilized human being, at least while he’s at work…

This is truly an upscale bar that is much more elegant than Boardwalk and Leboy put together on there best day. It looks and smells better, in addition there are a wide variety of dancers, from small to big, hairy to smooth...whatever youre interested in they have. Also, the drinks cost less and are much bigger. Yes, there is a $10 cover charge but if youre not willing to spend $10 in exchange for great service and entertainment, you should keep your cheap ass home.

I am static the drive included an upscale male dancing club. Been here a few times now and I’ve fallen in love with their dancers, they’re all great looking and personable unlike other dancing clubs where they could get mean and grimy. The DJs work good with the dancers enhancing the experience and really putting on a show with great music. Last but not least their drinks are not overpriced like other male striptease clubs! Go see they boys for yourself ;)

Customers beware! Waiter stole my credit card, (he accidentally switched cards, which I did not notice till next day and took my card home with him) and management would not take responsibility and said it was not their problem. Cancelled card, but meanwhile waiters ex-wife & boyfriend stole hundreds of dollars worth of goods/services while manager & waiter kept us waiting in club because card was supposedly on its way back any minute. I got charges denied, but have filed full police report against waiter, manager, and club, for not protecting its patrons. Truly Trailer Trash behavior.

When they first moved to this new location, the dancers were very good looking guys, NOW, it seems, they will take anybody!!! The dancers leave a lot to be desired, some are plain Queens, others are just not Stripper Material. NOT WORTH the $10.00 cover charge and the dancers are always all over you asking for money. The Owners should be more selective!! Since the Boardwalk and Johnsons are pretty much the same, the Boardwalk is a much better choice. Some dancers are outright rude.

My spouse and I are from New Orleans where we only have 1 gay go go bar. Johnsons made our bar look tragic in comparison. Staff was nice drinks were strong and there was a great variety of guys to stare at. We had a great time.

Such attitude by the dancers on a overly competitive Friday night on 01/21/2022, specifically one in orange shorts and a white undershirt (wife beater t-shirt). If a bathroom is locked that means it is in use for biological purposes and not available for immediate use by some self overrated dancer who feels he is entitled. Its a public bathroom, not one for you and your boyfriend to use as you see fit. Guess that is why you didnt get any tips after dancing two sets on a very overcrowded Friday night of dancers. Pathetic.

Its ok They should have A new dancers night Or amature night. The bar tender in the corner by the DJ needs to be replaced... The front bartender was good. DJ was fun and kept on cue.. Its not bad all in all.

Really enjoyed myself here Sunday night 9/17/2017 and came back tonight to meet friends. Parked easily on the property, super nice guy named Travis at the door(no cover) 2 nice bartenders, great sound system, very nice decor, lots of dancers, NO SMOKING - AMEN, and I drank Absolut & Soda served in a large glass for $8.00! Not a special - this is the price! I hear some bars charge $12-14 for the same drink. Huh!?!?? Dont believe the 1 star reviews until youve checked it out! Your lungs will thank you!

They unfortunately do what bad bars do and marry bottles of top shelf liquor with well. I ordered two different drinks for my friends and they definitely were not the brand I paid for and ordered. I then ordered a Jager and recieved a shot of some black liquid that was definitely not Jager yet it was poured from a Jager bottle. This practice is illegal and should be investigated. It is unfortunate that a bar feels they must do this after charging a 10.00 cover. It is definitely not the bartenders fault as I would assume this is a management practice.

BEWARE!!! We were there on sat, sitting and drinking at a table when this African American dancer named Tori walked by and asked my friend if he wanted a dance. My friend said no thank you. Tori then rolled his eyes and got up and as he was doing it he took the piles of $1 that we had on our tables and put it in his underwear.We went and told the door guy and they didnt do anything. They kept asking us if we are sure he did that, it was only $20 worth of $1 but still annoying.So if he did this with our money I can only imagine what else he does with peoples credit card and wallets.Be very careful!!!

Fun place , took guest there visiting Florida ordered drinks from back bar thought bar tender to be rude to me , asked me to move so next guest could order before he handed me my change, maybe he thought I would not wait for my money ! $6 well drinks ($3 during happy hour and all night Wednesdays) with MUCH hotter boys/guys than the other two dancer bars matches with a superior venue. I recently went with a female friend for a bday celebration and we were treated so rudely because my female friend cheered on the dancers. I been on many occasion and have heard men cheer and woo-hoo but apparently only a problem with ladies(which a dancer confirmed was the case) $150 bar tab $200 in singles and the memory of our night ruined.

Great place, they work hard to keep you safe. Enjoyed drinks at the front bar. Ill always visit each time Im in Wilton Manors. Drinks are nicely poured and attentive bartenders and barbacks.

I had two friends in town and I had work to do so I told them to go to Johnson’s around the corner!Well a dancer told one of them a lap dance is $20. He took my friend in some room and wiggled around in front of him, no lap dance, then announced it’s $20 a song after 4 songs!I was so embarrassed that my guests were treated that way. Researched where to go for fun in fort lauderdale and found Johnsons. We were excited to go and see some beautiful ladies,nice makeup and over the top performances. Typical spot to see dancers and to get private dances. It is what it is. Bring cash lots of it. I had no problem there I’ll be back and to the one in Tampa when it opens too.

Owner Matt Colugna seems to think that it’s okay to walk around pushing people. Apparently, it’s so common that the security guard at the door admitted that it happens all the time. Go at your own risk.

We were told we could only enter with a man for every woman in our party so we returned with a man for each woman and the owner told us that he would allow the men to enter for free but still turned us away which naturally felt incredibly problematic.

So I visited this location tonight, not Sanitized, bathrooms with scum on it, owner was not enforcing masks. Drinks are watered down. Much better places with safety precautions to visit.

Beautiful building but the cover price leads you to believe the guys are hot. We left in minutes. Ill give it one more try...but for now..this is my rating.

Via conversation with brother Cunningham from Detroit he visited the club Johnnys the owner to the security treated brother Cunningham wickedly the patrons without saying excuse me white privilege the strippers and the owner as if police or FBI preceded him has Cunningham always believes and spit venom or in advance of his arrival it was a horrible experience for him he proceeded as racism he he went out to the hot dog cart and was told about a club he had much more fun in the Boardwalk in fort Lauderdale. We live in Detroit where Mayor Duggan and the deputy mayor harassed club gold coast on East 7-mile and Conant which have been around since the 70s force it to close and theres no lgbtq strip bars in Southeastern Michigan.

Women Beware went here with my wife the bouncers and managers are very rude to women and someone stole my wallet I had to cancel all my cards and get a new drivers license which was a real pain because it is impossible to get into Motor Vehicles due to covid on top of that my wallet was Louis Vuitton my kids bought it for me for my birthday paid over $600 and was very sentimental but hey what do they care this place discriminates against women and straight men

We weren’t even inside the building and got attacked by the bouncer, telling us to go somewhere else Because of the wait and specifically came up to our group and said “you need to have a male accompany every female to get inside” So make sure you tell people that before they waste their time ! As soon as we arrived it was obvious the treatment for them was inadequate. The corruption and abuse of the dancers was something that left me thinking about returning to a place like this.
