I was physically assaulted by this extremely aggressive, rude, and super loud security manager. Just like the reviews below, I had heard some horror stories about this unbelievably poorly managed place but still gave it the benefit of the doubt and went there Friday night. I was minding my own business on the floor when this black security guy approached me from behind and delivered his deafening shouts into my ears to move without proving any reason as I was neither blocking anyone nor was I somewhere that had a sign stating not allowed. He was so loud and uncalled for that my heart dropped… During my short presence I saw a lot of illegal things going on at this place including people smoking all kinds of stuff all over the place … there was so much smoke that I needed to get some fresh air. As I was trying to step out for the second time I witnessed how this white security guy who appeared to be the security team’s manager told a lady “F… You” after she entered the club without paying the entrance fee. Needless to say not paying the fee does not justify that kind of language towards a customer regardless. I thought that’s not fair and shared my concern. Then the same black employee started shouting his lungs to my face, insulting me this time. After I told him to stop his utterly aggressive behavior he asked me to leave. I said I’ve already paid the fee and I’m not going to. He then said “you want your money back?” When I said yes he didn’t honor his word and kept insulting me. To my surprise and even though the young guy had seen everything he also told me to leave. I stepped out and asked to speak to a manager. The same white guy was called. After I politely spoke with him he gave me some unacceptable excuses and when I challenged him he started shouting his lungs out using the f word repeatedly. I started recording him but then he changed his language and started lying to the camera that I had caused problems and started to aggressively follow me and get super close to me. If there are cameras in that building which there should be his lies can be easily proven that I had caused problems. He was lying just to justify his unnecessarily aggressive behavior. As I was leaving he kept following me and despite multiple warnings telling him not to touch me he did just that against my consent and wanted to make me angry. He literally assaulted me. On top of everything he had already done he wanted to literally fight me. These people suffer from anger issues and should not have such jobs that can put people’s lives in danger with such behaviors. Anyways, I left to get in my car but he’d sent this other young black guy with long hair to show me some insulting hand gestures as I was leaving the parking lot. This is yet another terrible experience that’s being added to the long list of negative reviews below. I ask my LGBTQ+ fam not to go to this place as they will ruin your night. They are extremely aggressive, terribly rude, and can quickly choose to physically assault you. They don’t hesitate to insult you in any form or shape. They don’t even fake it to be nice and polite. Such a disgrace for Wilton Manors.

Used to frequent this bar as an after party option but never going back. Some dancer pushed me aside for no real reason which then led to another security guard pretend to mop the floor to aggressively bump into my friend. Both my friend and I are under 5’5 and under 120 pounds. When asked to stop this security guard literally punched my friend. His boyfriend jumped in and they were taken out by security. When I went to see what was going on I was then also thrown out. Another security guard was having a conversation with us about reconciling the situation he asked my friend if he was recording, when he said yes the security guard said you can’t do that and literally began throwing punches. Keep in mind this was OUTSIDE, not inside. This was enough for me and police was called. Because I dared to get the cops I’m banned, oh well. Why does boardwalk have these hyper aggressive security guards? This is not a unique event, many people have similar experiences. This is a huge liability and a ticking time bomb. It’s a matter of time before boardwalk closes it’s doors.

Nice place to hang out at the bar which is outside. Club is inside and opens at 9. Parking can be a little difficult since the parking lot is small. Otherwise fun place to meet friends.

I was literally doing nothing and the bouncer told me to sit down beucause I was outside waiting for my friend. I wasn’t evenDoing anything simply outside waiting for my friend. Drinks were already paid for and cover was already paid on a Wednesday!

Strange man sitting out front near the front door, eating, asking to pat everyone down. Wasn’t sure if he even worked there. Paid $10 cover to watch gross men get back massages at the bar. They shouldn’t charge a cover when there’s 6 people there on a Friday night. Very strange place!

Inside vs outside. Seriously a small percentage of the guests shouldnt be permitted to exert their influence on an overwhelming majority that dont smoke. Even dancers personally commented on private that they wished their workplace was smokeless. The DJ walked around smoking. Granted this is Not Smoke Free. Boston, however its a big negative on Atmosphere.Owner: Please consider going Smoke free indoors, least give it a go for a month and then survey the crowd and staff.

I asked for extra water and the BARTENDER didn’t wanted to give me okay that’s fine, so I asked and PAYED for a bottle water , the BARTENDER was EXTREMELY rude and DISRESPECTFUL and DISGUSTINGLY dismissive. He said if I keep it up he will get security on me ( he did and CLAIMED that didn’t payed ) I got PUNISHED and dismissed of my belongings( I’m a server at a HIGH END) restaurant so IK how it goes , they KICKED and PUSHED me out , security PUNCHED AKA and I called 911, they VERVALLy and PHYSICALLY ASSAULTED ME but because I was in their parking lot they sided with the owner who verbally assaulted me and OBVIOUSLY sided with his SUPPER UNPROFESSIONAL bartender. Asked the police for RECORDS and camera VIDEO ( but Because private property THEY COULD NT ). and RECEIPTS (which I had ) BUT because I was in his property they sided with him. I’m pressing charging. and the MANAGER needs to TRAING his staff PROPERLY.STAY AWAY

This is a racists establishment. My friends and I got here around 3:30a. Apparently they are not letting anyone in because they claimed they were closed. I am a black guy and I visit many bars in Wilton manors without issue. Even sometimes after hours I am let in. Three minutes later after I approached the door and was denied entry, two white women who presented drunk were able to gain entry. I politely at first knocked, and ask why they were let in and not us. The security at the door laughed at us and then claimed they worked there. Mind you, they presented drunk to me and my friends. So I demanded my respect just like any human being in America would. They proceeded to call a black security guard to escort me off their property. Yes I refused. I do not care if you’re white, black, yellow, purple, nor blue, all humans should be treated fairly in any establishment. As black Americans we’re are raised to see what racism look like, we can literally smell it. I am not ashamed of my skin color. I do not care if you hire blacks just to make yourself look diverse. They’ve open past hours many times before. I came in side at 4am at one point. They will lie and state they are closed, but in reality they are not. I’m not asking for apologies.. see you in court.

If you are reading these reviews, you are doing like I do, trying to make a decision. Thus, thought it only fair I share also. Boardwalk is probability one of the best clubs I’ve been to, and I have been around a long time. Short version: Boardwalk is a great club. Excellent staff, dancers, food, and free parking. Longer version, for people like me who want as much info as possible and concerned about negative reviews. I feel like I’m in bizarro land, as none of these “negative” things are the reality I’ve experienced. I have been going to Boardwalk for over 3 years, whenever I come to Florida, sometimes going several times a week. I like the owner. I don’t know him personally, but I have watched him countless times interact with customers, most of whom know and like him in a very friendly manner. I have never seen him, or for matter any of the staff and dancers engage in offensive and unsafe behaviors towards the consumers. However, I have unfortunately seen some customers exhibit such behavior towards the dancers, bartenders and security staff. I liked the way the owner dealt with such situations, quickly, professionally and in a way that insured the safety and comfort of me, the other customers and his staff. I appreciate that. Being kept safe. I never saw violence and definitely no weapons on him or the security. In fact, the two security staff outside the past week, do a very tough job, with humor and good nature. The dancers are not cookie cutter Ken dolls, but look like real men, with rugged masculine natural looks, who do not just stay aloof on a stage, but mix and mingle, which I like, as I have found the dancers to be really nice guys. The kitchen staff cook good food, and are extremely welcoming, always saying hello to me as I walk by to enter the club. I could go on and on about the countess friendly and welcoming interactions I’ve had and witnessed other customers have with the staff I’ve already mentioned, and others, the lady at the front door, bartenders, security staff, and even the restroom attendant, but I think you get the point. Unfortunately, usually people only write reviews or sent letters when they have a negative experience, or ax to grind, but if you have had a good experience, you usually do not. That is why I decided to write this review, as I believe I speak for the overwhelming majority of people who come to and really love Boardwalk and it’s not fair to the owner and the people who work there for their reputations to be tarnished. It ironically is also not fair to you, as you will be depriving yourself of a really good time if you don’t visit Boardwalk. Thus, I suggest you don’t listen to me or others on a website, but go yourself, and make up your own mind. Sorry for the long review, but a lot of things were said, and wanted to address it all. BTW. I don’t know the owner, and have never gotten a free drink, or French fry. Lol. My opinions are impartial and independent.

This is not a strip club this is a hustlers club. Only saw one dancer dance during the 2 hours I was there. The rest of the time the dancers (aka Hustlers) would walk around and press their bodies against you expecting a tip. Then they would try to talk you into a private dance in the back.. The private dance area is 30 bucks plus the dancers expect you to tip them even bigger in those rooms.The crowd from my experience has been very friendly. Bar tenders are cute and sexy And are very attentive.But I hear the food is great but Ive never indulged. It certainly is not like the old boardwalk 10 years ago when you couldnt actually see guys dand interact with the crowd without begging for tips.

Outside bar with Vicky and all the staffing are great.The inside club is what a strip club. All the staff is here to make money. The bad reviews must be the guys who didnt get laid because they were flashing their dingle dollars. 😊 I dont blame them, seeing all these hunky guys and going home to jack their 🫔 must be frustrating. Next time dont put your pants down.I am a neighbor and client, it makes my life better. Thank you all

I witnessed several security guards assault a younger man for absolutely no reason!I thought they were going to hit me next….They also skim cards, and roofie people at this place,The owner named Gus should be investigated by law enforcement for corruption ..He has no idea how to run an establishment AND IT SHOWS! he lack’s complete customer service and has major anger issues, Don’t come here!!!And HEADS UP The owner might reply back saying I’m lying like the rest of the negative reviews this dump has…

I want to share honest feedback with you. I did have a good time for my birthday visit at this place for a year. I notice the entry area was completed renovation and looks very nice. I did meet some nice bartenders and ones of the manager on duty. They did take care of my requests for my birthday treat. Thank you a very much taking care of my requests. I am really appreciating. I also did enjoy meet and see some of the nice eye candy male muscles dancers. However, I am disappointed about it is so annoying smelling a lot of smoke air everywhere on me includes on my clothes and I cant stand it at all. I am highly recommend to this place need to make some changes such as, I suggest the smokers need to smoke outside either bar outdoor or balcony section instead of smokes inside the building and spread out to everyone make us smell bad on our clothes and health issues. I hope they can consider hire better friendly new owner, DJ with better music, bartenders, and dancers.

My husband and I celebrated a friends birthday here and we had a great time!!! Everyone, from the Manager, security, bartender and dancers, were super friendly and welcoming. Kenny was awesome!! I gave 4 stars only because they allowed smoking inside the club. Would definitely go back.

Our LGBTQ + community is always looking for places that are SAFE to be . Obviously boardwalk is NOT longer one of them.. with all the awards for years, and the publicity that they get from being one of the recognition gay places in town is not longer a safe place to be. Last night we were treated like criminals the manager and staff wanted us to get out as Sooners they can for whatever reasons they may have. They started pushing people out garb us by the arms took Our phones when they noticed were were recording so we can have prove of what they were doing and it was then when they stared to get ugly . They were verbally, emotionally ,physically abusive. I feel a shame boardwalk is part of our community.a open case with the police is being place hopefully we can do something about it

We popped in to give this place a try. Hubs and I were literally accosted by 4 dancers the second we sat at the bar. They were not respectful of our personal space, refused to stop touching us despite repeated requests that became demands. They only backed off when we told the bartender that we were leaving immediately if they didnt step away. We finished our drinks out of respect for the bartender (and also the $10 for them!), but were out very quickly. Be forewarned!

This was a Waste on money. I went there with a friend. The owner is an Italian man named Joey. He is very confrontational with the public. Totally unprofessional. I would never come back to this place even if they paid me.

This review is about the indoor bar experience. This place seems to be operating on life support. A few years ago, before the renovation which looks great, this place was awesome. There was a good rotation of dancers between the main stage and the other 3 platforms. Weekends were pretty packed and it was lively. At midnight, the lineup of dancers walked across the bar which was cool, but this doesn’t happen anymore. Now, I think this place lost its unique quality with the renovation because those additional platforms were eliminated, and there was no programming. It’s now pretty much just like the other bars, except, no one goes here. Also, the place was pretty empty. When I visited, there were no dancers on their new main stage, in fact, there were maybe 3 or 4 dancers there period trying to offer massages. The place was practically empty on a Saturday night. Idk what happened here, but the owner of this business needs to figure it out fast because I don’t see it lasting much longer like this.

I have never had a great time coming here. New owner, old owner.... not an excuse. The employees do work well and are kind. The establishment needs a makeover... as it always has, can we get some new owners in here?!?!?

Don’t visit this place, old & out of shape dancers. They don’t give you clear prices for a private dance. They tell you one thing, once the dance is done they don’t let you walk out of the rooms until you pay them more and the dancer just walks away and leaves you there to deal with the problem. In the mean time, you already paid him. This is to people that didn’t even drink, imagine those drunk older guys that go there, they probably rip them out of their rent money! Seriously, this place is a rip off!

Went on Saturday after having a couple of drinks - one of the dancers convinced me to go to the back to get a dance. First he said $50 then $100 then it was $200 but did not Let me walk out after already paying $30 in house fee. Ended up paying but he only did 10 seconds of service before asking for more money. Never trust any of the dancers at this place.

Update: Gave it another try April 23, 2022 but sadly the reviews below are all correct. New owner is apparently a straight man with all straight staff. Strippers and bartenders are terrible. Premium liquor was switched with well rotgut liquor and everyone in my group got sick and paid for premium prices.Avoid this place at all cost.Does anyone even go there anymore? I went last weekend on a Sat night at 11:00 pm and was completely empty. The drag queen at the front desk didn’t seem to know what was going on. She said there is a new owner and it has gone down hill......$10 entry fee for nothing! Left after 1 beer. Waste of time!

Years ago this bar was a fun and safe place to go to. Now, you have to worry about getting pick pocketed by the dancers all while being harassed and forcefully grabbed. My partner and I were robbed 500 dollars last Friday by one of the dancers Alessandro and he didn’t want to give back our money because he felt entitled. This was after I gave him 20 dollars for a lap dance however, he felt he deserved 500. Needless to say, this will be known around the community and highly encourage everyone not to go. That’s unless you like being robbed. Go to Johnson’s on Wilton drive if you wanna see good looking and respectful guys.

I used to enjoy coming to this place with my best gay guy friend on the weekends back then, but then, 2 separate incidents happened, first one was when one of the male strippers decided to harass me like crazy to the point where I told him “no!” He didn’t accept the no and proceeded to grope me under my dress!!! Second one (and this is the last time I went cause of this), I was celebrating nye 2022. I was enjoying myself with my gay friend and had drinks, then, I remember nothing the next day I couldn’t talk, swallow properly, remember what had happened, it’s like my soul had left my body, I got roofied. Til this day it hurts me to even think about,I’m still traumatized by this place

Well I was super excited for this place, I had heard about the massage guns 😍so I was stoked! The second my group and I sat down we were flocked by some eye candy ( once again not much variety). I was surprised I was being touched before being greeted but hey I knew what I was walking into. The dancers were there to look pretty and not really dance I was bummed they just sat around waiting for someone new to walk in…The bartenders needs to be faster. They were slow when it was even slow around. We only hung around for about an hour and then moved on….

The owner of this bar/club has an angry aggressive personality.. nowhere near the quality of so many other owners of bars/clubs across the country.If you use a credit card for payment, be careful,youll likely receive a notice from your bank questioning if you left a 50%+ tip... the staff has a tendency to increase the tip you wrote on the receipt after you leave.The strippers are pickpockets... be careful... go to Hunters or any other place in Wilton Manors to have a much safer and much more truly pleasant time.

I went there to have fun and my purse was stolen right fro the bar, the worst gay club you can ever go, the manager is so rude, he was blaming me it was my fault because I was not careful with my purse. Disaster!

Never never go there on a Wednesday night. The place was dead. The only nice thing was $.75 drinks. There were only 10 dancers and nothing great at all. I e been there a few times before and had dancers walk up and ask if I wanted a massage I usually said no. Last night ,two times, guys came up and started massaging my back I let it go. One was horrible. I said that’s good and gave I’m $2. He said it’s $5 for a massage. I said I never asked for it take it or leave it. The next one started and he wasn’t bad I figured I’ll pay $5 for this one. I gave him $7 and he said it’s $20 LOL. I Said the same thing to him I said to the first guy. I was there for my birthday. Not a good night at all

Very disrespectful how the owner came outside and stormed at me for smoking when so many people were in the building smoking Marijuana. Im very appalled about how nasty the owner yelled at me and kicked me out of his astablishment when I Cleary was already outside smoking. Ive never had issues with this astablishment but tonight was just clearly uncalled for. The amount of disrespect I Recievd when theres more than one person in that establishment that do drugs in the bathroom and smoke Marijuana and cigarettes in the building when they clearly have an entire balcony (which was closed). I was very respectful but the owner still gave me the most disrespectful attitude. I understand the precautions and rules of the building, I understand that he could possibly lose his liquor license I understand but to have your security come out when its me and 3 other friends of mine like we were fighting or causing commotion. We were all at a table outside smoking. To some up my review thrower of this astablishment needs to know how to address individuals, if youre the owner or manager on duty at a club that is serving alcohol after 3am you should know how to handle customers, not saying i was drunk and incompliant but the way you handled the situation was very uncalled for and I hope you guys learn customer service. Its not about how many people you can pack into your establishment. My experiences are always amazing but the management sucks and are very rude and disrespectful and the security guards gallows whatever he says and they continue the exact behavior as the owner. I will never step foot into this establishment ever again.

We had gone to Johnson’s in our trip. They aren’t opened on Monday, so chose to try Boardwalk. BIG MISTAKE. No dancing at all. Finally two guys came out and proceeded to give us massages without asking. They were creepy. Drink was so strong I couldn’t drink it. Only two other people in the place. Stay away.

I come to this place often and I am a single str8 women . Every one here is great honestly. The music is good and the best thing is that you feel very comfortable and safe here as a single women it’s hard to find lots of bars where your just comfortable 🥰

I have gone to this place now 3 times and always had fun. The dancers are good (most, with the exception of one middle aged man whos time has way passed) and they are hot. The drag queen is funny. However the bartenders are mixed -- the one at the main central bar is a deuce (he refused to answer simple questions like what are your drink specials and often responded with snarky comments and F bombs) but the one bartender in the back patio was great.

I came here being a former stripper here and the security took my drink and threw it out very unprofessional I will have a word with the owner this is an absolute disgrace when I spent over 100$ here best believe I’ll come back with a response

Ive always had a fairly decent experience in here. If guys bother me I turn away or immediately say NO and then they walk away. Ive met great bartenders. And though its nowhere near Stock Bar in Montreal, its a fun place to either start or finish a night out in Ft. Lauderdale if you want to see skin. That being said, its been a few years since Ive been there.

I love it such a nice and laid back place!!! To be a gay bar I love it it’s in the open and everyone is so friendly especially John the bartender you gotta love him!!! Gay or straight your gonna love this place!! Give it a try!!!!

I go almost every evening for a cocktail and sometimes food. I also take my dog, whom all the bartenders LOVE. David, Becka, Vicki and John are outstanding. I couldn’t ask for better service and the food is great.

We have lived here 13 yrs and I must say each and every time the Boardwalk has gone drastically down hill and gets dirtier and dirtier. Last night Mon.9/3 was the last straw. We got there at 5:30 for a beer and then decided to stay because the bartender stated stay around the dancers will be here shortly. So we did. Well..... at 7:30 there was only 2 dancers on a holiday evening and both dancers was on the cell phones the entire time we were there. The bartender was doing everything. He was the Bartender and he was the DJ and he was the Server and he even had the change the Beer Keg. So needless to say we had to wait forever to get a beer due to the lack of staff.They then switched bartenders and we asked for a beer and he stated.... We have no glasses left and put only ONE GLASS ON THE BAR AND SAID....WHOS THE LUCKY ONE TO GET THE ONLY GLASS ? REALLY ?We said...We are the lucky ones because we will no longer stay her and waste our money which was a stack of $100 dollars in ones. What made it even worse was the owner walked in and was just hanging around laughing w friends. Well I always say....THE FISH ROTS FROM THE HEAD DOWN !!This is why we always now go to Johnsons and Leboy. I give this NOW DUMP a year to shut down.BYE FELICIA !!!

Dancers are back to giving you a few minutes of massage, then demanding $10 or $15 dollars to allow you to allow them to touch you. I have had the side door of my car kicked in by one of the dancers. Mismanagement. Go to Johnsons on Wilton Drive. This place has only gone downhill over the last few years.

If your want your car broken into , visit this place. They let your car get desecrated and take no responsibility. It’s all on you. And if you ask for secular tapes they make you call the police. I’m working on a class action law suit so if you have also had your car broken into please respond to this review and I will contact you

Don’t go to this place if you want your car broken into. I walked in and noticed glass there, I should’ve trusted my gut. My car was broken into and basically nothing was done. This isn’t a safe place to park your vehicle.

Its like standing in the middle of a petting zoo with a handful of feeding pellets. Sometimes you have to hit the older stubborn goats on the nose, and tell them no to actually get to the cute younger ones!

This place is a disaster area. No occupancy limits and no mask enforcements = coronageddon central! Dancers are aggressive and don’t take “no” easily...had a gin and tonic that must’ve been something else after my only experience with alcohol poisoning. Don’t waste your time, money or health on this nonsense!

This place is what a call a paradise on earth. Gorgeous people and nice music. Everybody is fun and up eating. Always a great night going there. I am a customer for around 10 years or so ! Love, love, love !!!

Mostly it depends on a DJ and music. Quality of sound is pretty good. Young and hot guys are trying to offer their services everytime

I really enjoyed the bartenders at Boardwalk, especially Felipe...but the strippers are very aggressive and do everything they can to steal money from you. Very disappointed that management doesnt do more to manage their employees. I will not go back anytime in the near future.... sad that things arent better managed....

Dont bother with this place it used to be fun . Not only does it cost you $10 to get in then its $9 for a bud light I mean thats just ridiculous !! Oh my goodness I just came across this on my page have not been to boardwalk like in 6 years wonder what is new nowadays used to be good I moved over to Johnsons once my favorite bartender moved from boardwalk

Fun place but pretty expensive. Charge to get in and drinks are a bit expensive. Some eye candy but they all are working so have some tip money. Bartenders were nice. Food is ok.

My partner and I went there Saturday afternoon for the first time ,the food was not that good and the drinks were 8 dollars a piece. The bartender was not very nice.will not be back.

If the bartenders dont know you, they make you put your shirt on because you arent a dancer... meanwhile.. there are other people with their shirts on...

The first time I was the administrator or owner, I dont know who that man was but he treated us badly and last night I came back thinking that everything was fine and the security guy was the worst. He gave my friend a hard push. I am trans and obviously I was born of a woman and seeing this left me very sad, how is it possible for a six-foot tall man to do this. I never want againGo back there and I hope whoever goes takes care of themselves. Dont let these people treat you like trash just because its the only place there until 5 am. Trans girls, dont let these people use you and treat you badly whenever they please.

If you dont tip from the beginning to one of the guys who serve at the bar, the unattractive one takes a long time to serve you, ignores you, I was thinking of giving him his tip at the end but I had to leave because he wouldnt serve me, he wouldnt serve me. What a bad time, on the other hand, the other boy who wears his tight pants is kind and cordial with the customers.
