Horrible experience with bouncer working 8/10/24 around midnight. Came with a group of 10, all of us are 24-25. Bouncer insisted that one of us had a fake ID. Claimed that it “lit up like a motherf*****”. We asked him to show us what he meant and he refused. Was extremely rude, claimed that he’s been doing this for a “very long time”. If he has been doing this a long time, that’s sad, because he’s terrible at his job. Had to take my group and leave to a different bar. Very odd, and aggressive encounter. I cant recommend this bar if you want to be treated with respect upon entering.

If I could give this place zero stars, then I would. I’m blind and have a seeing eye dog. I was with family and we just wanted a beer. We thought the name was cheeky so we wanted to check it out.We got halfway inside and mind you it was VERY empty. The very nasty person behind the bar told us, no dogs. We kindly informed him that my dog was a service dog and what the law dictates for access.Verbatim he stated “I don’t care and we got no room.” I’m blind, not deaf or stupid. I KNEW the place was empty. We told him to have a nice night despite his rudeness. I could have made a big scene about this and had the authorities come but this place isn’t worth wasting your time or money on.This was my first time in Texas and although this situation didn’t ruin the whole trip, it still grinds my gears. If you are open to the public then service dogs ARE allowed in. Perhaps this so called business needs to educate itself on state and federal laws. This place does live up to its name being filthy and nasty.

Went in there. The bartender accused me of having a fake ID. I just turned 26 last month. I have my CDL ID. I told him that. And that maybe a CDL ID looks different than a regular ID. Not to mention as where walking in a group of people told us the bartend was terrible. Should have listened to that warning and not gone in. And the bartender himself seemed drunk. We went to second rodeo and talked to the head of security there. We told him what happened there. He looked at my ID and said that’s a real ID and dose not know how filthys didn’t accept it.

Filthys is hands down the best bar inside of the historic stockyards. The bartends are EXTREMELY knowledgeable and personable. James is a shining star within the business, I look forward to coming and see his smile and personality. Always remembers my orders and my name. Live music always a 11/10. Highly recommend stopping by any time you’re in the area.

Guy who said his name is Kevin and works Monday nights was being RACIST and DISCRIMINATING against certain customers throughout the night, refusing entry, kept hearing him making jokes & sounded like muttering the N WORD while laughing behind the bar.Also practiced poor hygiene making drinks since I saw him scratching w dirty hands and sweating into the drinks throughout the night.Don’t go to filthy mcnastys saloon unless you want another man’s sweat & dirty private part scratching hands making your drinks.Management needs to do something about hiring people like Kevin it shows Fort Worth and the stockyards in really bad light. I may be filing a TABC report and BBB for discriminatory & negligent practices against the establishment to get the liquor license revoked unless management responds that they’ll do something.Seriously worst bartender I’ve ever came across.He was the porky/chubby white guy who wore a backwards hat, light colored beard & has a soft voice, said his name was Kevin aged around 25-30. Worked 06-24 night shift. Colleagues in the picture attached, kinda looks like the guy in the back but with lighter beard & eyes

These men that run this place are so jealous of Hispanic,black,and asian men it is so funny af I guess because even the most whitest of white women love them some forbidden taboo..and these guys couldnt stand it....they definitely must have been picked on growing up. Now this is their only flex of authority. To be rude or not let a certain demographic enter. Im latino but can pass for white so I had no issue. But i witness bigotry of the worse. These men are little boys. Immature and just an embarrassment to hospitality and customer service. Complete cowards because Im sure outside of this place they are sweet little girl scouts to every demographic. But what is even more embarrassing is the bar itself. It is trash. The music is ok. But the bar itself is about a 2 out of 10....this place needs a huge reboot..in any other location this place would not thrive at all...oh well...caca smells as much as this place

Honestly, my friends and I used to love this place… now we won’t ever go back. We are locals and have gone in at various times when the place has been packed and dead. We won’t be back due to the poor customer service. One time the bar was dead (no one else standing at the bar and maybe 5-10 people inside) and there was no acknowledgment from either two of the bartenders for over 5-10 minutes so we left. Another time we paid for 4 drinks and only got 3 drinks; when we tried to ask the bartender about the 4th drink he kicked us out. The staff here is overall completely rude. I would recommend Armadillos if you want a similar experience with a bigger dance floor and nicer staff.

Alcohol aplenty!Came here 3 times on my visit to Fort Worth Stockyards and had a different experience each time.Different bartenders have different levels of customer service. If you find yourself needing service as some other reviews here have suggested don’t be shy to call them on over or just lift your finger up until they make eye contact with you, they’ll usually nod their head at you to acknowledge they saw you. It can get busy and it’s a long bar counter with usually just two bartenders. Be patient and don’t give a bad rating.Drinks were good and strong. I got to witness a band play live in the evening and they were excellent. Really fun crowd at night, not as many people during the days when I went.Overall, this hits the check box for a good ole classic saloon.

Awesome live music with no cover charge! The musicians are amazing, though! Make sure to tip them well. I saw some bad reviews about the bartenders having an attitude, but my experience was fine. This was on a Tuesday and also my last night in Texas, otherwise I’d come back to this place often.

I came in to have a drink because the name made me laugh. It has a “country” dive bar vibe. The drinks are fairly priced. The band that played was very cool and fun.

My grandma and my parents came to have a family time, and I really appreciate the bands and staff. Stayed later with my wife and got the true honky tonk experience. 10/10

Slow service. Wasnt able to get a 2nd drink in a timely fashion. POS declined my card for no reason.

FILTHY is the perfect description. The pool tables should be burned!!!! Also, the tables are right in front of both restrooms. Theres a line of people coming and going. You cannot play pool. Band was just LOUD, not good.They keep your bank card and immediately charge $25 until you close out, which is impossible!!! A crowd and only TWO bartenders and even a blow horn cant get the attention of a bartender to close your tab. We wanted to LEAVE after 5 min of being there. YOU CANNOT... youre held captive because its IMPOSSIBLE to just get your bank card back!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Go ANYWHERE else. Rhinestones Saloon was the Bomb Diggity!!!

I came into this place to have a beer with a service dog a little chihuahua and was told we werent welcome naughty but two people in the whole bar and the kid behind the bar said it was Grandads place Ill never ever have respect for these young people that runs a bar in a tourist town that has no respect for any person that has a service dog icing on the top he made fun of me as I was walking out the door I used to have respect for the Fort Worth Stockyards but Im embarrassed of our city

Heavy set bartender is incredibly rude, asked what drinks they have on special he turns and says if you want cheap go somewhere else, we dont do that shtAnd we did, we promptly left and wont come back. Good job!

The two male bartenders were rude and useless. The bar top was a mess even though nobody was in there. It must be part of a schtick because being this rude and having such a gross bar top almost requires more work than just doing your job.Way to go guys, I’ve been back to FW once since and actively made sure our group didn’t come in. You losers are nailing it!

Had a great experience one night with the girl bartender , next night with the “manager” maybe Lance?- absolute nightmare- total jerkoff… if you can’t manage , you shouldn’t try and drink & manage: grow up! Hope one day we come back and you are no longer there- place would be much better .

What a disappointing experience in such a welcoming area. The MALE bartender is a. “Richard” guess he doesn’t care about tips his customer service had the personality of.a Rattlesnake. Hey “Parsons” .quit before you get the place closed down with your incompetence. This bar should be standing alone in a dark alley!

Do not come to this bar. I came here Saturday and had 2 beers and left a 2$ tip and the bartenders committed fraud on my receipt and added a bigger tip to it. I then saw a 25$ charge on my card. The bartenders here will fraudulently put larger tips on your receipt. I even tried calling and no one ever picks up. Clearly they must be hiding. I already filed a police report on the bartenders.

This place actually denied entry of my long time retired navy friend because he had a SERVICE DOG with papers and harness. Complained to the manager and he said there is a no pet policy and refused to let him in.It is against federal law to deny access to someone with a trained service animal. Thankfully we found a much nicer watering hole in the area. I will never set foot in this place and you shouldnt either!

Absolutely terrible service. Im starting to think that the other reviews are fake?! We came in when it was pretty dead and we didnt even get acknowledged. It took about 5 minutes for the bartender to even come up to us. Again, the place was dead. I asked how much for a shot and he said, are you here to drink or not? Terrible. We left without buying anything. Dont give these people your money.

After being hot and sweaty, from dancing at another bar. It was nice to be able to come in, sit down, relax and have the ac blasting. The band was awesome, and I only got a water, but the bartenders were incredibly nice, too. I’d definitely come back here.

My wife and daughter and I went there on a Monday.. No barstools to sit so we sat where there were stools 10ft away.. They would not serve us where we sat.. We left dissapointed. Basement Bar is where it was welcoming!!

Great local bar with excellent live music. A Fort Worth staple.

This place doesnt even deserve a 1 star. What a disappointment. We walked in to get a few beers and a couple of shots. After getting 2 beers and 2 shots we were charged 36.00. When asked why it was so much he said the shots are 12.50 EACH! Never again. When we went to another bar in the same area we were told a shot is usually between 7 to 9.00 each. That is a little more reasonable but not 12.50. Taking advantage of tourist should be illegal. Lesson learned next time we visit the area we will definitely ask before we are served.

Do not go in! Tourist trap. We didnt order food but was served a little tray of egg rolls ( 2 cut in half) which we ate figuring it was complementary or a few bucks. Anyways we ate so we paid but they also charged 6.25 for a beer and 11.25 for a shot. When we questioned they said we was told when we came in which was false. After being irritated but paying the bill they mouthed at us for not leaving a tip after which weve done nicely everywhere else. They said all the other places around are breaking the law for not doing the same thing. Always take care of the bartender. But the bartender needs to take care of you. Fool me once shame on you....

This is the most fun bar in the Stockyards. Great people and great service, plus the music is always awesome and no matter who you are they always make you feel welcome, especially that bearded guy Justin. Definitely will come back and have a good time!

This bar is a must see while visiting the Stockyards! The bar is so cool and unique inside. The bartender was so friendly and attentive. There was also a good band playing.

Great spot to pregame. Very laid back and chill. The lower rating is for the drink prices, but also the size of said drinks. Got a Michelin bottle and Shiner on tap came in a plastic 12 oz cup for $14. Also, the inside of the womens restroom is in plain sight when the door is opened ... so if youre a lady this could be very awkward for you.

Went to the middle of the bar and where everyone was getting served and the bar tender working the middle passed over us several times. Stood there for 20 mins while the person shouldered up to me would get waited on after walking up there within 1 or 2 mins. I said something to the bar tender “how are we not getting served this is ridiculous” his reply was “oh that’s not the way you get service” I will NEVER go back in there. Walked down the street walked into another bar and boom had my drink in my hand within 1 min. Saddens me to write this because I have been going to all of these bars of years. But for the future will always pass over this one!

I dont remember much from the night I came but I do know I had a great time. Came to see Brandon Bethel and his band play. They were excellent as were the many, many beers I drank.

This place is cool and can get pretty crowded. I feel like its fun to be at if your already drunk. But, i would go back of course. We saw a cool band there once and they helped leave a lasting impression.

The signage was fun, “Good Drinks, Bad Judgement and Poor Decisions”. I did not know this was a business model. As we sat enjoying our Shiner Bock, the manager of the open air bar told a gentleman with a SERVICE DOG (full documentation exhibited), “dogs ain’t allowed in here!”We tabbed out, found the gentleman and bought him a beer. I was never so embarrassed by a business owner in Ft Worth, Tx, appalling to say the least.My fellow Veterans, please do not use this establishment, obviously they do not care for our money. One star is one too many for this horrid policy!!!

Come from a long line of Crawfish family and after eating here today the food, atmosphere, and service is hands down the best I have EVER experienced. The Crawfish were Cajun and succulent! The Snow Crab-legs were deliciously tasty and tender. The beer was ice cold, and the girls behind the counter were both excitingly pleasant to talk to and very eye appealing. You can’t go wrong going a little out of the way to stop and experience The Shell Shack in Fort Worth. Five Stars all around!

Its fun to people watch when the dance floor gets crowded. Bathrooms are two stalls for women. One was out of order. Drinks were good, quick and decently priced.

The bartenders are the bomb at this place my wife’s blood pressure was messing with her and she passed out and the bartender came to help . I can’t think them enough . See y’all in a few weeks fithys.
