Alll I gotta say is Heather!!! She made this the place of experience. She’s in a management position and you can see she truly cares about taking care of everyone. I will come back here because I know that Heather cares about the people she serves and takes pride in it. Best customer service I seen in a very long time!

Besides being a bit of a death trap this is a pretty fun dive bar. Dollar bills cost the ceiling and people are friendly. The door man was friendly and funny. The bartender said thats not my problem when I explained someone took my drink, so that wasnt nice but short of that fun place to go dance and hang out.

Went here on a Saturday for the first time and I ordered 4 round of drinks. EACH round I ordered the same exact thing and all three times the bartenders charged me different prices. It was Three different bartenders ALL GIRLS, one tried to overcharge me $8, another $10 and the other $15!!! & when I told them it wasn’t adding up even with tax added on, they tried to argue with me, they finally fixed it when I wouldn’t let up! CRAZY! I gave them 3 chances after realizing the first bartender overcharged me but looks like they all have the same idea to overcharge people, probably a way to ensure they get their tip! Super unprofessional and definitely made me never want to return or even trust the girls there!

Loved this little dive bar. Visited right at opening while I was at the Stockyards. Opened up dead on time - thank God as my time was pressed. Enjoyed a cold Corona. Friendly bartender and just a neat little place. Would LOVE to go there again when I had more time to spend!

Neat little bar that gets very crowded on a Saturday night. They had live music and I didnt catch the guys name but he played really well and it sounded excellent in there. Its a small place but has a cool vibe.

Cool basement level bar off of the main road in the stockyard area. Real simple bar with minimal seating and a small performance stage. Good place to have a drink. Bathrooms available.

If it was possible to give zero stars I would. Bartenders instantly made me wait twenty plus minutes to be served, then after a negative comment was made came up to my group of friends 30 seconds later to say we were not going to be served and kicked us out. Had three rounds of people come up and get served around us before a negative comment was made that got us kicked out. To each her own, but when women don’t want to serve other women due to the prospect of bad tips? Let alone it being from the two managers on duty? Very poor reflection of the type of people hired.

We enjoyed our time at the basement bar until it was shift change. We had open tabs at shift change and they took the liberty of closing those tabs and adding on their own tips and even signed our cc receipts. We were sitting there enjoying ourselves when we got notifications from our banks that our cards had been ran. It was alarming to find they took the liberty of tipping themselves whatever they wanted and signed our names to the tickets. This is not ok and I did not authorize that. Besides that. I ordered 4 beers and 1 vodka cranberry and was charged nearly $60. I recommend paying cash at this bar.

Super cool bar! The entire place is covered in $1 bills and you can write on your own and they will put it up for you. The atmosphere is fun but BEWARE OF THE BATHROOMS, they are nasty!

Such a cool little place! Great bartending in a honky tonk atmosphere! Its billed as the smallest, but I couldnt be the judge, it is pretty small. It has a bar area and a stage area. Thats it. Oh, and I hope you dont need to go #2 there - saloon doors open from the bar to the prison toilet in the mens room. Kind of funny but when ya gotta go, ya gotta go. Great cold beers regardless! Must go when in the Stockyards.

A sneaky speak easy in a sweet hideaway through a book case. I mean whats not to like about that. Reminiscent to the times of prohibition, it will make you want to bring a lady wearing a flapper dress. Just make sure you know the secret password for the evening. Apparently it changes daily.

Had never been there before but was treated by my daughter and son in law who were in town. There was a fun Halloween costume contest and Ive never had better jello shots. I will definitely go back!

Bartender was very friendly and served my husband drinks quickly. Reading the dollars posted everywhere was very amusing. The historic location is also a big plus.

Great lighting & music downstairs. The 10-dollar entry for the rooftop was fun. The only thing was they needed to maintain better of their wet, nasty floor… did not try the food this time, drinks are good. Overall 7/10.

Small and intimate bar. Was an enjoyable visit until I had to use the restroom.Worst bathroom in the history of bathrooms, by far. After the sight of that, I had to leave.

First time going on Saturday 6/3/2023 and it was fun. I had a great time with friends and others. It was a great vibe learning to 2 step. The drinks were so good. Ill definitely go back.

Always love coming to Basement! The staff is amazing and friendly. The drinks are reasonably priced for being in the stockyards. The atmosphere is pretty laid back and intimate when it’s not super busy like it is on saturday nights.

Unfortunately we didnt enjoy this visit, the music wasnt good and the restrooms were disgusting!

Since moving to Ft. Worth, Ive been trying to find a good dive bar. Everyone told me The Basement Bar was the place to go. THIS IS NOT A TRUE DIVE BAR! Dive bars dont serve top shelf liquor, charge $15 for a drink and have a huge variety. Basically this is a tourist trap and a place college kids can go to say they have been to a dive bar because they dont know any better. Also, they make all their drinks super sweet. It was so bad, I drank maybe a quarter of my overpriced $15 drink before I had to walk away from it.

Interesting venue, but wasnt very busy when we went. We werent overly impressed but would be interested to see how it is during the more busy evening hours. Decent frozen drinks for a good price. Bathrooms are a bit rough, but might be the vibe theyre going for.

Ive always enjoy this bar and atmosphere...However when I ran into bartender Whitney she was unttending and when I pointed this out she refused service and told me to cash out and leave. I was not rude about it however she was.. reason being I was passed over service for someone else that arrived later on.. but Karma is getting the place because they have no business as I passed today.

Very cool place.. My boyfriend said he had something really cool he wanted to show me.. He kept telling me on the way there how unique this spot is and how much I would love its awesomeness... And I did!!! Everyone appeared to be enjoying themselves.. The gorgeous bartender served us some ice cold beers.. And walls were covered with..... You know what just go see for yourself and enjoy the Top 40s/Country vibe..

Bartender was awesome! Took to time to tell us about the history of the bar/building. The bar is lined with $1 bills that the owner donates once it’s full, what a wonderful person!! A great hang out!

I was charged right at $50.00 for 2 shots and 2 beers. I was actually charged twice on one tab with 2 different totals. It was obviously a mix up but I have reached out with texts, voice-mail and Facebook messages to no prevail. No one will reach back out to me to address this mix up. It would be nice if you would hire a staff that knew what the hell they were doing when patrons money is involved.

Staff was extremely unprofessional. Will not be back, recommend you do the same.

I always have a good time. Its small but great atmosphere. The ladies behind the bar are always awesome and amazing. Love the music choices that they play, old and new.

Very cute. But incredibly hot. They have a fan in the corner but I was sweating the entire time. Dance floor is also pretty small. It was just extremely crowded as well. Maybe they need to limit the capacity or something.Update: Maybe learn to take some constructive criticism about your bar and not respond to every negative review in a poor manner. It makes you look bad. I just stood in your bar, never moved except to walk inside, get a drink, and then had to stay in one place, couldnt move because of how packed it was. So, I wouldnt blame kinetic energy. There was absolutely no hint of cool air anywhere in that bar as far as I could tell. Worlds smallest honkey tonk with the worlds rudest management, Id say. ✌️

We are from puerto rico, on vacation, our firstime visiting the area. We enjoyed being at the place, the only thing that made us a little uncomfortable, was when it was time to pay, the bartender ( a girl) was so busy she forgot we were there, and i guess she forgot to charge us. So we try to get her attention and my husband whistled, (he apologizes for that) and herd her say something like dont be sassy or something like that. We can understand she was by herself, very busy and so many people. But that is no way to treat your customers. We only wanted to pay our bill. But we well visit again. Thank you 😊

This bar has been in the Stockyards for years. Worth a visit. Leave your mark by writing on a dollar and adding it to walls or ceilings. We always have a good time, but it is very small and hot.

Such an AWESOME place!!!!! We walked by it and werent quite sure but win ahead and went down the few steps to one of the most amazing little bars weve ever been to! Such a cool atmosphere...we almost missed it! Dont miss it!!!!!

My favorite bar in the stockyards. There is no cover and the drinks are reasonably priced. The bartenders are fun and professional. There is always music and dancing. Great place for people watching and socializing.

It was very hard to get a drink at the bar, It wasnt that busy I was just being ignored until a 6 foot 5 gentleman helped out. Thank you to him for being able to get a bartenders attention. The bathrooms were not clean either. Atmosphere and entertainment were great

If you are not stuck up and know how to enjoy life, you will love this bar. Service was great! Our bartender was as sweet as she could be. It seemed to me that a lot of the locals go this bar, and they are very friendly. You might even run into Wild Bill Hickok and get to take pictures with him. We will definitely go back next time we are in Fort Worth Stockyard.

Well Ive only been here once but it was very enjoyable. They play a mixture of music but also include some old school hip hop tracks which I definitely prefer. The crowd was very sociable and friendly. The waitress that we had that evening kind, thorough, and efficient. The atmosphere is pretty cool as well as the decor... it takes place under the Stockyards where you are able to decorate a dollar bill however you please and staple it to the ceiling....something different. I definitely plan on coming back.

Good bar and they were open till 2 am on a Monday! The bartender was great. She let have some food delivered since the kitchen was closed. The only reason its not 5 stars is because the restrooms could definitely use some cleaning.

Angelina was absolutely the sweetest girl iv ever met.. she made me feel special not to mention her drinks were on point.. I love her!!!

If I had the ability to give them a -star I would. My husband is a veteran and has a service Dog....we walked in to meet some friends from the Fort Worth Area. Before even sitting down the bartender was wave her hand at us. I walked over and she said that we could not have the dog in here...I said he is a service dog...she said it doesnt matter my manager said no animals/dogs and there are other bars that we could go to. I responded that is illegal and I can produce all documents. She again said it doesnt matter and we had to leave, she also stated that the bar is older and that they could not afford the liability. I said, what? that doesnt make any sense....what does the age of the building have to do with anything. Honestly, me getting a lawyer, could cause a bigger issue for them. Instead of causing a scene, we left and waited for our friend outside. Please know that my husband served this country for 22 years and having this service dog helps his PTSD. I myself have never been so angry...I felt, I should have video tap this young lady and what she was telling me along with getting her manager/owner on the phone and explain how illegal it is to tell us to leave. Instead I decided to tell everyone how they treat veterans with a service dog. Please note we did go somewhere else, the White Elephant and had a fabulous time...so if you are in that area dont go the the Basement Bar they dont need veterans $$..go to the White Elephant they treat our service members with respect.

If you love country and rock and great drinks this is for you! I thought it was a hip hop club and went in the people were friendly though and everyone seemed to be having a great time. I gave them five stars for being courteous and welcoming and if it was my cup of tea i would have partied with everyone.

We always have to stop in this place whenever were at the Stockyards. We were just there for 2 nights this week and was treated awesome by our bartender. I was going to give her a shout out but we all got beernesia and forgot her name. Cute, bubbly personality, wore glasses and a sock beanie. Maybe the owner will read this and know who Im talking about. Hopefully well see yal again this summer if we go back down that way

Fun times!We had so much fun at this bar. It was packed. Great music and friends. People were on the dance floor and some were watching the UFC fight at the bar. We will definitely go again!

I love the cozy feel of this bar! Its my #1 choice when I party in the stockyards. Its generally a younger crowd with lots of country and hip hop blasting all night. Its not the type of bar that waits until midnight to get lit...its going hard at 8!! Drinks arent too badly priced and they are pretty strong. Its really tiny so it can get packed fast!! Sometimes standing room only but I still love it.

Bar smelled like urine to the point that my friends and I had literal tears in our eyes. Didn’t help that it felt like it was 100° in there, emphasizing the smell. Management is a joke and has no customer service skills AT ALL. Just don’t come here, go literally anywhere else.

One of the blonde haired bartenders was extremely rude. I bought 2 shots and it was $120.. (someone else’s tab) When I tried to tell her it was incorrect, she gave me nothing but snobby attitude, AND STILL CHARGED ME. I am not happy with this place one bit. I wouldn’t suggest coming here unless you want your money stolen.

Always treated like family here. I love this place! Other bars in town should take a few notes from the tenders here. Emily, Savannah, Halley and Lauren are sweet as pie. Mickey, and Whitney are there to give you a hard time whenever you need it, but definitely great fun.

Extremely drunk group of girls in bathroom. Held up line for over 30 minutes. The employees actually came thru and did soemthing and made her leave with her friends. So I respect them for that. But the bar itself is too crowded. Wouldnt return on a busy night again.

Best place for good cold beer with a friend. The bartender Caitlin was the best bartender in the world. She was very friendly and got the beers to you very very quickly and always check on how you was doing. I will be going back and taking all my friends with me kudos to you the basement and cudos2u Catalan.

Way too crowded and the drinks are watered down and over priced. Couldnt take a step without bumping into someone.Just look at the reply from the owner that underscores my rating. And to be clear, what I ordered was a Long Island Iced Tea. What I got was water. So there was no possibility of getting drunk at your place.

Drinks and atmosphere are fine, but the staff wasn’t wearing any sort of mask, even though they have signs about masks being a requirement all over the place. Even saw the bar tender eating with their hands, then handle cash, then make a drink without washing hands. Masks on customers, while not seated, was not enforced at all.

The place is awesome and the owner is always quick to spin all the reviews. Got to respect someone who defends their castle!anybody who would only give one star is a person who is very unhappy and unpleaseable. They should just drink at their house and stare at their walls and pee in their own filthy bathroom!!

Basement Bar gives me LIFE! I drink and dance and sing like no ones watching, because they probably arent considering how dark it is inside. Friday nights are for country, and Saturday nights are for hip hop/rap etc. Never had more fun at a bar! Love it and I will keep coming back.

Very cool little bar, went on a Saturday night and my friend left her debit card there and they are closed every day except Friday and Sat nights. The only thing I would suggest is a way to get ahold of someone to retrieve lost items other than 2 days a week. Most people go to the Stockard I feel arent from Fort Worth and may not be able to wait weeks to get things.

The bouncer at the front banned me from going in because I made sure a girl friend I was with had to be assisted into an uber. The bouncer literally got mad I was making sure she was ok before she went home. Bouncers at this bar are weird people.

I went there on Sunday evening on November 5th. I don’t know who the bartender was, but it seemed like he was purposely skipping me and not taking my order. I finally grabbed his attention as he was getting ready to ignore me again. I said to him, “are you ever going to get to me here?” His reply, “I’m sorry, but it’s not like I’m not doing anything”. That was enough for me to lose interest and go down the street to, Filthy Mcnasties. Great experience, great bands, and very friendly staff. Huge difference!

Its a fun place but pretty over priced. Once the DJ started playing good music and not just what he likes, the dance floor got hopping. Bartenders take care of you pretty fast but they will give your small cups AND big prices. So beware!

Worst bar Ive ever been to its do small not even room to dance, wait staff is rude and dismissive. Bartenders make drinks in their underware and it takes forever to be able to purchase an aforementioned overpriced drinks. Dont go here if you like to have any kind of fun, and if you do then by no means should you wear a hat the fat DOORMAN WITH a control problem and power issues will tell you to bendva 35 dollar hat or go somewhere else. Worst experience I have ever had at any bar in my life

Delete my comment all you want. I have already handled the situation. I paid cash, and have my card ran for this amount? So did she think that $100 was a tip? And I never signed this receipt. If it werent for one of the other extremely helpful bartenders I wouldnt have even known my receipt had been falsified. No questions asked she knew how to find it and what had happened. Maybe if the girl hadnt been drunk/high i wouldnt have been screwed. Ive called to talk to the owner. No answer. This bars days are numbered.

Smelled like those urinal cakes, and the drinks were horrible and overpriced.Update: Well, $8 for a watered-down margarita in a plastic water cup is overpriced. However, you have reached your goal, you are certainly a dive bar. And the worst I have ever seen or smelled.

Average prices for fort Worth. Frozen drinks are good. I would recommend the tigers blood. The dollar bills on the wall are kind of trashy but the stuffed bobcat makes up for it. 💁🏻‍♀️

This is a great place for a Saturday night at the Stockyard. Its a good mix of music and no cover charge. One of my go to spots.

Discovered this little hidden gem when we found out the rodeo at the Fort Worth Stock Show was soooo expensive. Lol. Saw a great acoustic duo. Drink prices were great too.

This is my absolute favorite place to get a drink. The crowd is always changing and the staff is extremely friendly, they make it a point to get to know you. Dont be surprised if they recognize you on your second visit.

Authentic cowboy bar, which is bigger than it appears from the street. Saw a great duo (fiddle and guitar) early evening then returned later after the rodeo, only to find that the live music had been replaced by a DJ. Be wary of bartenders keeping your change and putting it straight into their tip boot. Happened to us twice. Would still go back though.

Pretty cool place its always a little too hot in there especially after dancing. Their DJ always plays good music, their bartenders are nice depending on the nights you go.

Bartender laughs at trash in our drink! Doesnt ask if you want another. Just scoops trash out and cant believe I dont want it. I asked for my card back and find out later she still charged 8.50 for a drink with trash in it that I didnt even drink!! Bad service!!

Nice little place right off the stockyards. They have good drinks, good music, and even good dancing. There is even a restaurant above the bar to order food, to help pace your night.

Great atmosphere and great place. Drinks over priced though. 3 beers and one mixed drink $21.00, but left an$4.00 tip. We will be back this Saturday night.

Definitely be back..nice bartender..good drink and ppl

Went there on a Friday evening after a concert to do a little dancing. No cover was nice, but the drinks were severely under poured. 2 second pours. And when I mentioned it to bartender , (just asking if a 4 second pour is the standard) the guy busy walked off and wouldnt acknowledge us anymore

New bartender is hot as hell!!! I dont even remember what the bar looked like, or how much I paid, but Id do it again just to see her! Cant wait to go back!!!!!!

This is my bar LOL love it the staff is friendly all the people is met there are super nice I obviously love the Ft Worth Stock yards I travel all the way from Kansas to party there

Super divey bar in a Stockyards basement. Rather like a set from Twin Peaks, its a surreal hodgepodge of human excess, taxidermy and red lights. Fun to see once...

The bartender, Penny was amazing! Such a cute little place. It was dead on a Monday night, but still lots of fun.

$ stapled to wall and ceiling needs dance floor. No Angery Orhard or any other drink if if did not have hops in it. A place locals go to hide from vistors to area.

Theres a lot of fun I enjoyed myself play decent music, and the professional dancers that are get on the floor every now and then were pretty cool too.

Thrown out due to patriotic attire , didn’t make it past the bar. Woman behind the counter asked one of us to turn around to “inspect”. Rude , disrespectful to combat veterans.

Cool college bar experience, will certainly go back. Cowtowns version of six street in Austin. Have fun and be willing to roam about.

But as a business owner, your not only extremely unprofessional, but dont have the na)s to say your name, Terren is it? Then theres Liz, Mary and the guy is Brian or Ryan. Im sure this will be removed. Hope my no money helps with the drug issues, and helping fix the plumbing. Lesson learned, though. Ill take my business else where from now on.

I like the place but I believe I paid 6$ for a fing lone star. Too much. At least have live music on if I’m paying that much

Had a great time watching Mayweather vs McGregor here with no cover charge. Friendly people and reasonably priced drinks made for a good night out!

Consistently terrible HVAC... too hot when its hot outside, too cold when it is cold outside. The flow of the place is also really bad, causing a crush of people at the front door. I do not recommend this place.

Cool little place hidden among the many bars and honky tonks in the Stockyards of Ft Worth. Worth a visit if you enjoy a friendly place for a peaceful drink.

This place was cool. Walls are covered in dollar bills. Drinks were good and priced reasonably. Definitely will go back!

I think this is the only basement in Texas, you should just go check out a basement, definitely a rare sight in the state..

Great little Honky Tonk dive bar. Stockyards location & an interesting place. Busy on Fridays and Saturdays nite.

Its a super underground bar wit outstanding ambient. They have dollars sticked all over the place where the customers have written some messages.

Place smells like urinal cakes. If you’re darker than tan i’d stray away.. whiter than white out
