Customer service at this place is completely terrible. I had massage appointments that I unfortunately had to cancel as our baby got sick, and we had to cancel the whole trip. I called over 24 hours in advance, but they have a 48 hour policy. There was no room for negotiation or understanding of the circumstances. Just a flat out no, we have to charge the whole amount. Not even offered to even do a partial refund. When asked to speak to a manager, they said theyre all in a meeting (how convenient).
I am sure that actually going to this place is lovely, but the customer service of the gentleman working the desk was quite rude. I was trying to surprise my husband for fathers day with a spa day in the future and he was very rude during his communication about requiring a credit card for booking, not a debit card. There was no way for me to do this without letting my husband know and I had to come up with the idea of getting a gift card to then book the appointment, but there was no way for me to do this without going into the resort. Its 2024, I can Venmo, Paypal, Apple Pay almost all things. I wish they had a booking online and being able to pay for it right there. I dont have time to go into the resort to get a gift card to them try and deal with booking an appointment. Also he was not apologetic at all.
I had a less-than-satisfactory massage experience; The massage therapist never checked in during the service to inquire if I was comfortable or okay, adding to my overall dissatisfaction with the experience. When I expressed my disappointment with the service, the staff merely apologized without taking any corrective actions to address or improve the situation. Although the hot tub was enjoyable, the pool was too cold, preventing me from fully enjoying both the pool and the waterfall feature. While the food was delicious, the experience was marred by the discomfort of walking through the entire hotel in a robe. Having a dedicated service to the spa area would enhance the overall experience.Overall, my first experience at Grandover was disappointing, and I don’t anticipate returning in the future.
Lovely spa day!!! Vegan option was not hard but could be better. I had a beautiful salad and asked them to just give me all the veggies they had available in place of the meat. I wound up with some awesome artichokes!!! My pedicure was lovely and I truly had an amazing service. I will return again and bring some friends.
I had such a great experience. I got a volcanic rock massage with Maggie, and she was incredible. I really recommend getting the hot rocks added regardless of the treatment you choose. The indoor pool was a comfortable temperature and relaxing, the outdoor was a little cool (as expected for this time of year) but it wasn’t unbearable. If you’re looking to treat yourself, do it here.
It was a good massage. Just good. The mens locker room was small but adequate. Take a suit if you want to go swimming or get in the sauna as it is open to all guests.
It was amazing. Had the couples massages. I got deep tissue and my girl got swedish. Both were great. Afterwards we were able to enjoy the saunas and steam room. Was the perfect getaway. And a perfect dinner afterwards at their restaurant. Will definitely do it again!
Beautiful atmosphere and the restaurant overlooks the grounds for a really delightful dinner with a view.
Booked an 80 minute full body massage and had a very subpar experience including the massage therapist and the facility. I was thrown off that there was no intake form to complete prior to my appointment to make the therapist aware of any problem areas or medical conditions. She did not ask me prior to the session what zones to avoid and massaged my face which is no-zone for me during massages. My table/bed was cold and mid-way through my massage she told me she forgot to turn on the table warmer. The massage therapist also ended my massage time by at least 5 minutes: started at 11:05 and ended at 12:20. Very disappointed in the service for the amount of money paid. The facility accommodations were also subpar: only hot tea and water were offered. No options for coffee or wine that are commonly provided/included at other spas. The jacuzzi was under repair which was also disappointing. Would not recommend.
OMG!! My daughters treated me to The Spa at Grandover for my birthday. I had a wonderful facial and full body massage. Then I used the sauna and the steam room. My body was feeling RIGHT when I left there! If you get a chance, Please, Please, go and treat yourself!
Absolutely loved my first time coming here, the staff was very helpful and nice during my visit. My Volcanic massage was AMAZING, as well as the extra amenities included. I truly enjoyed my birthday and look forward to coming again!
Let me just say her name nice and loud. Sylvie!! This pregnant mama needed a nice relaxing facial experience and Sylvie gave it to me and then some. I got the Ultra Radiance Facial and when she found out I was expecting changed up product use to ensure it was the best for my dry pregnant skin. She was amazing. My skin left feeling so refreshed and replenished which is exactly what my pregnant skin needed. She really worked my face and neck and it just felt so amazing. Definitely if I am in the area again will be requesting her by name.
Let me begin by saying that Im not experienced in massages so i dont have much to compare to. That said, Stephanie did an amazing job on my volcanic rock full body massage. It was absolutely incredible and she was very professional and courteous. It may have been the first time experience but it totally seemed well worth the price and the facility was clean and very nice!
This was a fantastic experience, I have only had 2 massages ever so take this how you will. I received this as a wedding gift and am not someone who enjoys being touched by strangers. However, I would definitely go back for a massage here, the masseuse was very attentive to my situation. It seemed like she could tell when I would get tense and she would talk to me to distract me and knew when I was just relaxed and let me enjoy the moment quietly.
Too much money for mediocre experience. No slippers offered like everyone else and no water, and not a great massage. We gifted my mom this for Mother’s Day and she was given the receipt after the session. Not sure what the purpose of that was with a card on file and notes that it was a gift.
Charletta at the Grandover Spa is the best!. She is truly a master of her art. If you are looking for the best massage in Greensboro NC book with her today!!
The new policy is if you have a gift card you have to have your card on file debited for the amount of services. It’s like buying your own present. They refund you after you have presented the gift card. It takes 3-5 business days. The jacuzzi hasn’t worked in years. The only thing impressive about Grandover was the excellent massage by Renala.
This really is a great secret get-a-way. My husband and I live about two hours and have frequently visited nice facilities. This is a great place for couples to have a stay-cation. Love the indoor pool. Every employee has been so nice and willing to help with any needs. I’ve definitely spent a whole lot more and got a whole lot less. The decor is beautiful and for a minute you get to escape the cares of the busy world around you!
I visited the Spa today for my birthday treat. I am a LICENSED esthetician instructor, let me begin there. This was my first visit to the Grandover Resort, I moved back to the area in March 2021. I wanted to experience a spa massage and facial, I was extremely disappointed. My massage therapist and esthetician were extremely nice and I really wanted to be able to leave a review that reflected that. I have traveled all over the country and I hit different spas and resorts, unfortunately my services did not reflect my expectations. My massage was ok, noisy and not relaxing at all. And my facial I was so disappointed , I wanted to ask where she went to school but I didnt.Grandover I have a few suggestions: Have both of your techs to do consultations with any new clients and a updated one with returning clients. The massage therapist sitting and rolling the chair around my bed was new and the continuous break in touch was not relaxing. Maybe send her our for some CEU hours or more training. I added Hot Stones, which felt more like a hot towel on my back. The facial was the most disappointing , because I am apart of this beauty community. She really could be amazing with more training and guidance. I left 15% even though I was disappointed and your front desk attendant tried to bully me into leaving more, she did her job, but not knowing my experience 15% was too much .Normally I tip at least 20% however the skillset they have I wanted them to feel that they needed to examine it, and that 15% i am sure had , to have them thinking about my experience. I even told the young lady who gave me the facial after I was done I am a licensed esthetics instructor. I attached a photo I took of the product left on my skin and the lipstick on my lips, we teach in CORE(beginners) how to properly remove lipstick and product from the skin. Grandover , you are the only grand resort in our area, and with more things coming to our area you could use some spa training . I know a few reps from Eminence that would be happy to come and give some training and education. The products are great however the representation in your spa doesnt reflect that. One of the front desk ladies was just ok not so great, the other friendly. Ms Debra, polite and my techs their customer service was great and so polite, just the execution of the service wasnt RESORT worthy. I could of went to the beauty school and got a $20 facial and I wouldnt of been as offended, however a licensed therapist in a resort leaving product and makeup on the skin, and some of the manpliations and massage techniques I was yikes. Do better. I hope this help the process. Ill be back, I believe in second chances. TBC
The facial was excellent but we were hurried out as they had a group coming in and needed the one locker two of us had shared. There was no place to sit and drink our water as the waiting area was full. The showers were out of order, the sauna closed due to covid and one of the two toilets in the ladies room was also out of order. We could go to the pool but were told to go to the front desk of the main resort (not in my robe or bathing suit) to get a key card to enter the pool. And thats when we were asked to remove our belongings and take them upstairs to the other changing room outside the golf pro-shop.All the while the beautiful serene mediation room sat empty and unused. Like wise the yoga studio and table area were also vacant. Those areas would be perfect for social distancing. And a lovely place to sit and drink my water. Nope, they just wanted us to go on and git outta there so they could rush the next herd through. $300 for facials and we got the bums rush. Did i mention the computers were down and i had to pay cash? 🤔Grandovers Spa is not so grand anymore.
Very disappointed in both the services offered and customer service of the spa at the Grandover. I was not told that the pool and spa amenities were unavailable prior to or during my visit, yet their prices have increased and the service didn’t make up for it. During my massage, I told them to not touch my feet due to my diabetes related flare-ups, but they did so anyway, and it resulted in a reaction in my feet. I have been trying to communicate to the manager for over a month- since December 2021. A worker by the name of Yez took down my information and said that she would pass it to the manager, but I have heard nothing so far. Called back twice and have not received a response. We usually come here every season, but I have a feeling I’ll need to look elsewhere.
WORST customer service ever. No flexibility for long term clients. The lady Jainie lied said they were booked for the rest of the day I called back the lady Brit said they had availability. I spend too much money at the Grandover to be treated this way. Im looking forward to becoming very vocal with this bad customer service. I have donated hundreds of dollars to the spa because of lack of flexibility.Wrong place for a busy business woman.
My hubby and I are staying in Summerfield NC and came to the resort to visit the spa and get a Swedish Massage. We came an hour early to take a dip in the beautiful outdoor pool, it was awesome! The women at the spa desk were super friendly! Isaiah delivered an incredible massage! Was super professional and also kind! Highly recommend him to anyone looking to relax!
Scheduled pedicures for myself and daughter over a month ago. When they called to confirm our appointment for this week. I was told that my daughter could not get a pedicure there because she is underage. She is 17. Why was this not made clear when I was booking? We were looking forward to enjoying all of the amenities during our stay at Grandover. We will have to visit another Spa in the area.
Need better quality workers who does better facial. Lefts residue on my face and did not rub my face at all with force. Just light to touch and spoke the entire time. No massage with facial that I was looking forward to just rubbing of the arm to put lotion and neck area. My mother said the same thing. Very upset with quality grom professional therapist.
This is a wonderful Spa. They treat you well, and the surroundings are beautiful (they updated their facility sometime last year). Today I enjoyed a Swedish massage, a Purification facial and a Deluxe pedicure. I was like I was on vacation, but since I am a local, it was a Staycation! I hope to return as it made me feel relaxed and special today.
Hope you don’t want anything other than room temperature bottled Dasani or a cup of trail mix while you are visiting the spa. If so you will be sadly disappointed that you are literally unable to order so much as a soda. I am not inclined to spend hours and money without the ability to drink anything but warm water again. What a disappointing experience. I couldn’t wait to get it over with so I could simply quench my thirst.I was however informed that I could leave the spa and go to the cafe (with only 15 minutes before my next treatment) or go use the pool phone....yeah okay. Let me walk through the hotel in a bath robe sounds great. If you are looking for a true experience, I would look elsewhere.
My alumni group from my college fraternity had our reunion at Grandover this weekend. We had over 150 attendees at our banquet/party. The food and service were excellent. The staff at Grandover was fantastic to work with!
We had fantastic spa treatment here at Grandover. Facial and massage. Will be back next year for sure.
This place is FAR from a resort...I just returned from there for a wedding weekend. For starters, the golf course had the amenities of a good golf course, however, the course was in terrible condition. I will say that there has been some lack of rain in the last month or so, but other golf courses seem to do ok. The fairways were absolutely scorched. Giant dead patches. Lets just say there was more dead burnt areas than acceptable fairways. No cart girl, and no water available on the course. During a 90 degree day with high humidity, that can become annoying quick. After the round of golf and before the wedding, I went to the bar with my girlfriend to have a drink and relax. We got there and there was 2 other people at the bar, so it was not busy. The bar tender who could obviously feel our presence and know we were standing there waiting for a drink (because we were standing right in front of him), just continued to keep his head down and do some paper work for what seemed like 5 minutes. If youre in the middle of something, fine, but at least acknowledge our presence. Other people started to show up for drinks before the wedding, and this guy was so slow and in over his head. Its like he had never dealt with more than a handful of people at the bar at once. The food at the wedding was terrible. I had steak, and it was so dry and hard to chew, I literally could not get a bite down without having to take a swig of water with it. I forced half of it down just to get something in my belly for the alcohol. I certainly did not enjoy it. I did not hear the best reviews on the salmon or chicken as well. The staff serving the food seemed to be really confused as to who was getting what as well. The cherry on the weekend was my room. The air conditioning did not work. I had it on full blast and the room just did not get any cooler. That made for a HORRIBLE night sleep during a weekend of 90 degree weather. Not to mention, it wasnt exactly comfortable being in a suite for a wedding and sitting in there. When I checked out the next morning, I told the front desk about the AC. Expecting some sympathy and perhaps a discount on my room since I was paying $200 bucks to sleep in a sauna, they seemed to care less. They said that they had heard there had been issues in a bunch of the rooms. With this knowledge, they still booked all the rooms at full price. Many of the people I know from the wedding said theirs did not work as well. I could have gotten a better night sleep and a more empathetic response from the reception of a super 8 motel. That was what REALLY got to me. I had basically just told them my stay was miserable, they knew I was probably right bc they knew there was an issue, and they just didnt care to make it right or offer any means of making it better. The manager was standing right there and heard all of this and did and said NOTHING to offer an apology in any way. This place is lost and has no idea what it means to be a resort. I have absolutely no desire to ever return there. If you are looking for a weekend to spend an extra buck to have a good time, look elsewhere. Im not the type to rip an organization on a review, but I was so blown away by the lack of giving a care, that I felt other people needed to be warned.
Well..... Hmmmm. We had to share a locker.Making the reservation was difficult, confusing & disappointing.Thats enough. The massage therapists were great, but some of the front desk staff & their manager need some further training.
The Spa at the Grandover is clearly the best in Greensboro, with gorgeous decor, knowledgeable and talented service providers, and an unbeatable physical plant including sauna, steam room, a choice of relaxation rooms, a jacuzzi, and indoor & outdoor swimming pools with a nice mix of sunny and shady spots. Theres also full restaurant & bar service poolside. The Grandover was also the only spa with enough staff to accommodate two services for two people with two days notice. Highly recommended!
I just had a massage with Kelsey and she is a massage magician! I have planter fasciitis and major tension in the back and neck. After Kelsey went to work on me for an hour, my foot, back and neck pain is gone! Phenomenal!
The hotels itself is very nice and their customer service staff have been incredibly nice and helpful!. However the spa staff is the polar opposite. I would recommend this hotel but not their spa.I ABSOLUTELY WILL NOT RECOMMEND YOUR SPA. YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE PERSON WAS COMPLETELY RUDE. Save your time and money and go to MASSAGE ENVY! @GrandoverResort
Always a great experience. Super professional, great spa menu, use of facilities during apt including sauna, steam room, pool and gym.
Getting an appointment or someone on the phone is awful. May be due to covid after waiting 3 days ona return phone call we decided best to try in Raleigh. We have been coming here every 6 months and now we will be going to Umstead
First time there but wont be my last. I will request Sylvie everytime. She was AWESOME. I will stay the weekend next time.
Rooms are very clean people are very welcoming also has a art gallery and so much more. I give this place a 10 I will be coming back
We couldnt get in to get a massage but we sat by the pool, are fruit and talked until it was dark. We were sooo relaxed.
Omg I am just speechless about the Grandover!!!! Everything and everyone were amazing!! Everyone needs to experience getting pampered ! Food was great!!!
A spa at the Grand over is always amazing experience. Having access to the rest of the facility is a major Plus 🤗
Great staff and amenities.

I enjoyed this peaceful birthday weekend with my daughter. It was a great gift to me.
Great place! Very nice live music on weekend evenings, great food, wonderful atmosphere.
Nice Valentine’s Day getaway!!! Awesome restaurants and room service!!
Great massage therapists. Could use some renovation to the facilities.
Unfortunately had a bad experience at spa but the manager at front desk was extremely helpful.
