I love this place! The music is always great! Theres plenty of space inside and a nice area outside. The customer service is awesome! The food is delicious. The chicken wings, Mac and cheese are all great. I love the live bands as well. My drinks are always good. They get the job done. If youre looking for a night of fun in a safe and cool spot; I highly recommend Bostons. You wont be disappointed!

I think the cost to get in is too much. Paid for a table to see 20 empty tables that never filled up. Drinks were good tho. Didn’t get any food can’t comment on that. I probably won’t ever come back.

The ambience was wonderful. The outdoor entertainment had great comedians, indoor live music with singers was absolutely wonderful as well as the d.j. later.I only had an issue with the meal, it was really tasty; however, when I asked for 3 sides instead of two, the waitress said she could not do that, so I asked for 3 sides no meat, she said its still the same price. She could have charged an additional $2 or $3 for the extra side; it wasnt like an abundance of guess wear ordering. Plus the portions were small.

If youre charging $30-50 to enter, then at least ensure the establishment represents/justifies the cost. The chairs need to be tossed, carpet replaced, building deep cleaned, etc. Stop serving VIP drinks w/cheap chasers - We know.Weve all been to classy establishment theres no excuse to not tour other successful facilities then copy and paste within the black community. Do better!!

Stopped by for the first time with my sister last night, nice atmosphere..service was great. The food is “slap ya mama” good. I definitely plan to return just for that alone! Lol

Beware of this establishment!!!! They are scamming customers by having someone take money for parking. When you come out to leave, you see your car has been towed. They are changing $40 at the door for a lack luster experience in a shack that needs to be updated, to say the least. Avoid this place.

I’ve been going to Boston’s for about 10 years now. My friends and I used to love going there pre-covid as an escape from the younger clubs. It was a place where you could hear old school music, eat good food, and dance all night with friends and strangers that all just wanted to have a good time. Somewhere along the way in the more recent years, things have changed. Cover charges have gone from Free/$10 to $40 at times, the food isn’t as good anymore, and the drinks are so much more expensive ($18+ for a margarita). The DJs I’ve experienced are more like the ones you could find any virtually any other club. Focused on today’s music that is already constantly played on the radio (typically very demeaning towards women) and not open to requests for music that will get the ladies dancing. Because of these club aspects, the atmosphere has changed. People aren’t as friendly, hanging out in groups only associating with people they know, and there’s barely any dancing anymore.

Great atmosphere! Good service and friendly staff. Had fresh grilled food.

Was definitely a VIBE will be going back .. chicken wings were the BOMB very flavorful .. we had vip booth but I believe its $25 to get in ..

Very classy with a formal dress code. No athletic wear or hip hop so dont show up casual or you wont get in. Extremely nice inside and the bartenders were polite and engaging in conversation. Very clean and upscale. 10/10 for a group

What a pleasant surprise. Greensboros night scene. I have not been out in years so we stopped after the Anita Baker concert and it was quite impressive. The food was off the chain!!!

First time there. Im on a one night only - Im from out of town vibe with the Mrs.Of course DJ Cleve was doing the dam thing. It was one of those not crowded Friday nights with more than enough staff so the drinks came quickly and were dranked!Love the patio! For a jazz club it was so very cool.Im definitly gonna check it out one mogain.

This was the worst experience. There was a cover charge of $20. Once we got in we paid $20 for a watered down drink. There was table but we were told that there was an additional charge of $100 to sit at a 2 top table. It was 11:00 pm and the place was no where near capacity. I have never heard of paying a cover charge for admittance and then paying to sit down. There wasn’t stools at the bar. Women wear kneels and shouldn’t be subjected to stand all night

Awfull!We drove up from Charlotte for an event and decided to take in a night at Bostons!.. We paid our cover ($40),just to find out at all the seats were reserved. The (Reserve) seats had no one seating in them. After Bostons got our money. We were treated like stray dogs with nowhere to go.

This is my first visit and Bostons establishment and I must say further visits are warranted, nevertheless, the initial impressions are very impressive. As you approach from the outside you get the feeling that youre entering a building that is relatively small which is generally backed up by limited parking areas for the cars, but nothing could be further from the truth. Once you get through security which is very thorough and ensuring that you have no weapons you entered in and are then greeted by an additional set of people who are both professional and pleasant to ensure that you have a reservation and or I assume take your money at that point. Then proceed forward through doors into a spacious well but dimly lit room more than adequately seated ready to address your every needs, as it relates to music, drinks, light foods and entertainment. As for the waitresses, you get the feeling that they were all former track stars because they never stop moving at a hundred miles an hour however, they always find time to stop look you in the eye and say, are you okay, do you need anything else, and give you a pleasant smile... before running off to the next table. As for the bartenders, both Female and male they are professional enough to take a moment and pause to give you the ins and outs of the establishment which is very much appreciative. Now when it came to the outdoor patio area, it was very impressive and rivaled that of many places I had frequented in the past such as Atlanta, Charlotte, Atlantic City and so on. More importantly, it was a diverse age group of people ranging from 25 years old till I estimate 65 years old all laughing having fun and with no issue. If I had to make one recommendation for improvement it would be to set aside paid parking spots for reservation. I look forward to my return to continue my leisure time at my newly found play spot.

This was my first time here and as picky as I am I really did enjoy myself. The band was amazing and our waitress tonight was the best! Happy birthday to ALL the April babies! The atmosphere was lit! I will definitely be back.

Food and drinks were pretty good. Came to experience a show. Show and sound were good but seemed to be owners are too greedy. Place seemed to be packed over capacity. Really couldnt enjoy the show because of all the guests, regardless of the seating.

Love the laid back, mature environment. The music is wonderful, & the food is outstanding. The drinks are a bit pricey. However, all around nice place to go to, to enjoy yourself. Also, they have a variety of nice seating areas outside, with fire pits. Overall, GREAT spot!

My family and I went to Boston house of jazz for the weekend of October 29th let’s just say I was very dissatisfied my sister was so excited for out of town family to hear some jazz but guess what it was an overpriced night out for $30 to hear hip hop🤬 and an invisible disc jockey. After sitting and having a couple of drinks the police came through the place and that was our cue to get out of dodge. I really would have liked my $30.00 back but was in a hurry to leave because we had no idea if some crazy was going to happen. My advice don’t go there if you are looking for a relaxed atmosphere. Don’t go you will be disappointed.

Went here for the first time....and I really enjoyed myself! Loved the band, Something for the People from Durham...could have danced all night to them. Loved the chilled vibe and the older mature crowd. Wished I had gotten there earlier so I could have gotten a better seat...other than that I would highly recommend this for place.

I enjoyed myself, me and boyfriend was invited by my friend to see a artist perform. I had a great time and the food was so good! Great grown and sexy scene for Sunday nights. Great way to end your weekend!

I came to a day party recently & I loved it. My first time ever visiting and we had a great time. The food was EVERYTHING !! The Mac & cheese, greens and shrimp was on point. The staff was great & lastly just the overall environment .....HATS OFF TO YOU GUYS! THANKS

Great live band. Food was good and reasonable. Waiststaff was very friendly and attentive. Would like a little more actual jazz music, not just R&B cover. Impromptu birthday songs were very well done!

I attend many T.O.S parties at this location. It is a nice place. It seems smaller than the previous location. Easy to access from the highway. I sat near the bar at one event and it smelled of urine and alcohol (of course). The dance floor is small but enough for people to dance on. The restroom was very clean. I will definitely go back. I love the atmosphere at Bostons and the food.

Need to change the name!!! This Boston Hip Hop and water down drinks! Poor excuse for something to be a jazz club. No live bands. Drinks you pay for for the price taste like kool - aid. I was embarrassed to take my best friend and husband to this place. Dont waste your time!

I enjoy the live music and adult atmosphere. They have indoor and outdoor areas. The waitresses work really hard to take care of you but this place is usually crowded. They have fantastic food. The fried fish and wings are great.

Nice set up but you got to pay to sit an charging $60 a table. A lot their a fee before you get in.so it really 80 dollar per person to get in that not including the drinks.

I went lastnight and ask for a strawberry hennessy and it was straight juice. No alcohol was in my drink at all. This place has really went downhill. If you going to charge that much to get in and for drinks atleast make sure my drinks are worth it. Never again will I go again.

Was visiting from Pennsylvania decided to go there to celebrate my birthday I was very disappointed with the place ,we were charged $20 at the door there was no band just a DJ. And then the barmaid gave us expired beer that was five years old and when something was said it to her about it she did not seem to like that she was told the beer was outdated.She dug through the cooler about 3 times before she found a beer that was dated correctly. While doing that she never removed the outdated beer. Will never go there again or recommend it to anyone else

This used to be my favorite place to take friends and family till last night, if you can get past the arrogant male bartender. Last night though...I brought friends in from out of town and found out the hard way the liquor in the bottle was cheap. Nine dollars a shot for Well water. It will be a long time before me and my family return. The band was great and so was the waitress.

I was so looking forward to an evening out with my friend. And, I was disappointed when We arrived early to get a table; we were charged $20 each and 90% of the seats reserved with only 3 tables available in the back by the bathrooms. I was not going to pay $40 to smell bathroom odors all night !

Service is brilliant and the music is much more. You have live bands playing hit after hit . You also have two Djs one outside and one inside. Dont even get me started on the reggae night which I believe is every Thursday night. They even have FOOD!! Its an all around good place to wine down after a long work day.

Ive been going here for the last 2 Thursday for open mic and its a service charge on each Item you buy. I was told last week it was a 15%Gratuity charge on each ticket, and thats fine But for a plate of chicken and fries and a shot of absolut cost me $25 + and last night a friend got charged $22 for a shot and another was charged 13 for a mix drink. Now that is pandemic price gouging at its finest. But I looked at everyone tickets last night and I realized if ur not a regular you get charged different. I will never return nor will I ever recommend this place to anyone. Very bad buissnes.

Nice atmosphere. All white party day before labor day so they had all the furniture & tables covered in white very elegant. Outdoor patio very roomy. Im from NYS so I hated the smoking that was allowed. Other than that I would visit again.

We went on the first Saturday in April. They had a great band. The food was good. Great mac and cheese. The old school music was on point. A great place for a certain age group.

Always a great experience and The environment is relaxing. The drinks are ALWAYS way to strong. I think the bartenders could use a lesson in bartending. They are over using liquor. Which can be expensive. I have order several different cocktails and always thou cant taste anything but the liquor. For some this may be a good thing, but a correct cocktail is supposed to be flavorful, refreshing, and smooth.

The guy that checked me and my friend in was later caught acting like he was cleaning the table ,and I caught him trying to take her billfold off the table .When confronted the Employee proceeded to pull her cellphone out of His pocket. 1st experience and was very disappointed being that I have been invited several times and was highly recommended.

I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone at this time. They charge you 10dollars to enter and they only served chicken wings or fried fish with fries, onion rings or mac n cheese bites. Over price meals and expensive drinks. The manager was very nice and the person taking money but the owner of the place wasnt pleasant at all. I will not return to this establishment.

Were planning a party and the owner is very attentive. The environment is nice and there are so many things that you can do based on the amount of space alone. If youre looking for somewhere with good music, food and drinks... This is it!

I have came here several time with a band an never paid over 10 each to get in. Tonight with no band the girl at the door charged 20.00 each to us and 10.00 to the girl on front of us. Only because we needed dinner we paid. Dont go... not like it was when i was here the last four times. Charge becacuse we are out of town and dont come but ever other month. We wont come back.

We had pre-ordered tickets online for a table Friday 10/29/21 only to be told, they were not letting anyone else into the club. We stood in line and advised multiple employees at the door of the tickets we purchased for $200. I want my money back because this event was very unorganized and you need to take full responsibility.

Great atmosphere and the waitress staff was professional. The only problem is the liminted seating available inside. The food menu is above average and the drinks were not watered down. We will be back this upcoming weekend.

The Featured Highlights Awards is a waste of money and time. How do you have an area for the nominees but theres no where to sit. I drove 6 hours to be here... My daughter was nominated but we had to stand the entire time. It should be more organized. Unnecessary talking, if you have 34 categories and it starts at 3pm by 4pm the awards should have been started...NEVER AGAIN!

Geared towards those who enjoy the R&B and hip culture. Have the greatest day parties with DJ mixing tunes. Has really good southern cuisine food and the drinks are never watered down.

The ambiance is amazing, they have live music and there food is amazing..... They also have a really nice patio area. It was an awesome night for grown and sexy fun.

I havent been to the BHOJ in over a year. I usually have no complaints. But tonight Im giving them 2 stars. They had No AC. Only the ceiling fans which was circulating the heat from the kitchen that reeked the smell of fish and chicken grease.B/c it was and stuffy i asked my waitress for a soda. She gave me a Pepsi which was flat. After 20 minutes of trying to get her attention i asked for a different soda. And in a rude voice she said Well it came straight from the can uuhum Okay. So i ordered a ginger ale which taste worst than my Pepsi. The olny good part about my visit at the BHOJ was the live Reggae band. But it was too uncomfortable for me to enjoy. I didnt want to order an alcoholic beverage due to the hot atmosphere. I might go back but Ill recommend calling ahead to make sure their HVAC system is operating properly.

Ive been here at least five times. Its one of my favorite places to go especially for a Girls Night OutPros: Theres usually live music or a DJ right in front of the dance floor. The low light setting creates the perfect atmosphere for dancing. The vibe is grown and sexy but youll find all ages here. They serve hot food too. There is plenty of seating but if you come around 12 on a busy night, you may have to stand. Theres a VIP section with a great view of the performance.Cons: The venue needs renovating (ceiling and some flooring). In the bathroom, there are curtains for each stall (I prefer the privacy of a door to my occupied toilet). You cant order sides - you have to order a whole plate of food.Recent Experience: I came to BHOJ last night (12/22/17), a Thursday, which is ladies night. Women get in free before 10:00 pm. The advertised drinks on the table where $9 . My friend and I chose the Maui Punch... But get this: I paid $9 for a mixed drink (not a shot of Hennessy) that barely had any alcohol in it.Our waitress came over and I let her know the drinks were really weak (Think Tropicana juice).Her reply: *laughs* Its a girly drink, thats how theyre suppose to be. If you take it the the bartender hes just going to look at you.Um. No. Either someones being hella cheap, or the bartender needs to refresh his skills.Conclusion: BHOJ is a great place to visit. Great ambiance, amazing music, dance, lounge aaaand sad drinks.

I normally love Boston House of Jazz and the food is great. Live music on point. They were short handed and service took a long time and there was a hair in our food and no manager came to speak with us!

Anytime i do go there i always have such a good time. The live performances are always great. This is a great place for any occasion.

Visited Bostons House of Jazz several times. Always have a great time. The only negative thing I can think of is the parking. If you dont get there early you will not find a spot to park.

My first experience witth Bostons was fabulous. We had my girl friends 50th birthday there and had the most awesome time. Will definitely be visiting again.

My husband and I had a great time there listening to music and eating. The music was WONDERFUL and the fried shrimp, collards and mac and cheese were good!

Had a ball at the all white party last night. They had it decorated so nice and the live band was nice and DJ outside on patio was off the chain.

Good atmosphere for a ladies night. Not over priced, like some of the other places. The VIP is the best place to sit.

Dec the bar tender, awesome, very knowledgeable about the area. Local spot a hit or miss but enjoyed it on a not interested in a loud environment.
