Parlour on the Avenue

Worst service I have ever had! Call to speak with them about our experience and was originally offered a gift certificate to get a free pedicure and an S&S dip. The dip was bumpy and very unfinished, had to come home and Take off the topcoat and buff it and reapply the topcoat to make it even and smooth. By Monday afternoon of my gel manicure toes had the paint completely come off. I live out of town so going back in was not an option didn’t have the time to and $10 off of future service was a slap in the face when we paid $350 For three pedicures and Two manicures and an S&S dip. Today is Tuesday and the picture of my toes from today. If I could give zero stars, I would. I should mention that appointments were made under my sister’s name.

Easy, fast online appointments. Didnt have to wait to long to get in. Place is cozy, clean and is a very comfortable environment. First time going. Ashley was nice, professional and did a great job.Downside is street parking. I was able to get a space.When I left around 12:30 the opposite side of street was all open.Prices are very reasonable. I am going back for a facial soon. Give it a try.

Elizabeth S. did a great job with my sons hair cut. We will definitely go back to her. But honestly I have never had a bad experience there. Everyone is wonderful and the building is so lovely!

Got this this morning compliments of Monica….Horrific at best. Looks like a child cut their own bangs lol. She said “you’ll be fine, while laughing”…..$44 for this. Run for your life.

I really love the atmosphere, and the very friendly staff! Elizabeth was great to talk with as I was getting my nails done. Very relaxing. I will be back!Also, I really appreciate being able to schedule online!

The Parlour is always the best place Ive ever experienced for pedicures. They are an established local business with local employees--so there are no communication problems (nothing is more frustrating or disappointing than non-english-speaking nail techs!) Its pricey, but you get what you pay for! Kami & Courtney are wonderful; detail-oriented, meticulous & gracious. Pedicures are perfect every time!

I have the complete day of renewal booked. My message was great I have the Swedish and my European facial technician was also great…will recommend to anyone for this service..But unsatisfied with my nail paint was uneven and little bit messy..I have haircut and style but my curls didn’t stay long maybe 10mins curls wearing out..I would definitely just come back for facial and massage .

I love this place. I get pedicures here all the time. My last tech was Elizabeth and she was very friendly and professional.

Have been here in past for a variety of services...however today I took my 15 year old in for a basic brow wax and she left in tears and completely distressed over the disaster. Not only did the brows now even match but were ENTIRELY too thin. I feel terrible as I talked her into going here since her usual stylist had to cancel due to an emergency. I assured her this was a great place. She is so upset....she has a VIP meet and greet before a concert tomorrow...her first ever special occasion like this and has been crying since we left Parlour this afternoon.

Courtney was my stylist. She gave me a great cut. She was very friendly and professional. I will be back.

Its been a while since Ive been here because the last few times I came things got screwed up (appointment times or services wrong, making an appointment for a group and we were separated, that kind of thing) but it seems theyve really gotten their act together because this was a great experience. My niece and I went for some girl time and we both got great service.

My polish was was bubbled and crinkled within a couple hours after the service!. Not sure if the polish was old or applied too thick! Very disappointing!

Courtney did a great job on my daughters nails.

The staff is always helpful. I like the types of services they offer.

My nail technician was Stacy. She did not treat me like the other clients were being treated. I should mention that Im a black woman. My nail technician barely greeted me. She didnt ask me anything but what color did I want. Besides that she didn’t talk to me or look at me. She used gloves to do my pedicure. I didnt see the other technician using gloves on her clients. My pedicure was supposed to be 45 minutes long, she barely gave me a 30 minute appointment. I didnt feel like she cared to do my pedicure at all. In the end my toes still had dry skin on them, which has never happened anywhere else Ive been for a pedicure. She did not thank me for coming nor see me out to pay my bill. I felt very unwelcome, and almost cried on my drive home. It was one of the worst experiences Ive ever had.

My hair was really long down to my hips. And I ask the person who was cutting my hair to only take an inch or two off. And she took more than two inches off The left side is uneven and the right side is even. She kept cutting away at my hair she told me to keep my head down. So I couldn’t see how much she was taking off. I will not come back to get my hair cut again.

Because missy is the greatest hair stylist ever and so is amber. Also, because when I am there it is clear that I bring so much joy and fun to their lives. It makes me feel good knowing that I am as much a part of the positivity at Parlour On The Avenue as the rest of the staff and Im sure they would say that they feel the exact same way.

Have gone here for years to support a local business. That ended yesterday. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we were late by 8 minutes for my sons hair cut. Was told needed to reschedule. And given the run around, 3 different stories. Glad to see the person that cuts his hair there is running a tight ship finally, because we have waited on her for 20 minutes or more on more than one occasion. Receptionist was rude and taunting. They lost a good paying regular customer. Do not recommend.

Loved the services offered here & Victoria was so kind and amazing! I had the dead sea salt scrub (dry brushing!), deep tissue massage with the scalp add-on & 20 min sauna. Definitely recommend, what a gem of a place in Harrison

I just want to let you know how much I love the salon. All your girls are just amazing, they are knowledgeable and helpful and the salon itself is just beautiful. Heather at the Harrison location is my stylist and I never leave there without feeling WONDERFUL! She is attentive and is never afraid to suggest a color or style that works for me. Ive been there twice over the years. After the first visit I said I wouldnt go back, but decided to give them another try last year. I was right the first time. I will never go back. I went to be pampered, but left feeling snubbed. If you go to a spa you should leave feeling happy

This place is gorgeous! They were undergoing renovations, but it was still very clean and inviting- especially the retail part of the salon (PURSES!!! Lol)My friend and I got pedicures with Jenna and Kami! They were super friendly and the whole experience was very relaxing and enjoyable!! We definitely will be going back!!!

Ive been several times over the past few years and have never had a bad experience. My kids have also had various services and I was pleased with the results. My daughter still talks about her special mini pedicure over a year later.

Just had my eyebrows waxed and tinted, the stylist I booked with was running 20 minutes late. I couldn’t wait as my time is valuable and had other things planned for today. Someone else stepped up and did them for me, well kinda. She spent one minute waxing and then a couple minutes to tint. As you can see the tint was all over, NOT just on the brow line. I also had to come home and tweeze and trim ✂️ them myself.

Made appointment 2 weeks ago and they call me 2 hrs before my appointment and tell me that the girl who was to cut my hair called off and they have nothing else available. Didn’t offer another day, didn’t try and make it right and could care less that I scheduled 2 weeks prior. I had plans and needed this done the day I set the appointment and I can’t find another place with availability at short notice. I have never had a problem with them after so many years and I understand that their hands are tied when someone calls off BUT at least TRY and fix it. It’s not like I was asking for you to color my hair, highlight my etc. all I scheduled 2 weeks ago for was a trim. So disappointing. I’ll be finding another place to go to from now on.

Love this salon and Sue! Been going there for a acouple years now. She always does a great job and always knows exactly what color to use on me for my hair type. Everyone is always friendly and helpful. Would recommend this salon!

For $46 for a pedicure my toes should look a lot better! The girl did not take off all my old nail polish before painting on the new one. And she left spots on my big toe. Very disappointed we will not be returning.

I wanted to do something new with my hair so I gave a photo to my stylist, Lainie. She knew exactly what I wanted, took on the challenging cut, and executed it to perfection. Great experience all around. I’m definitely going back!

I really have enjoyed my 2 visits to Parlour on the Avenue for my young sons haircuts. Both stylists were kind, cooperative of my childs insecurities with haircuts and very helpful. The price is a little high for a childs cut but not terrible.

Monica is SO wonderful!! she does wonders with my hair no matter how harsh i treat it! shes a miracle worker! Sommer is an brow wax artist... holy smokes shes amazing.. makes me look like a new woman every time! So glad to be able to go to these ladies!

For a long time I went to this salon but after several bad services Ive gone elsewhere. Building is nicely done but nail services are not good... Have had several pedicures where I couldve done a better job myself at home. Havent been back in a while, so it might just depend on which stylist you book - but I wont risk it anymore.

Pretty sure the person that cut my sons hair didnt listen. Wanted a specific cut, wanted to keep it longer, cut it way way to short. Really hard to find someone to cut mens hair that can do more than just little boy cuts. Might as well go to great clips and save your money

Unsuccessfully tried to come to a satisfactory resolution with the stylist, Sue, who is also the owner about the quality of the customer service and the “trim” my daughter received. Sue claims she only took off 2-3”. My daughter specifically requested a trim. Try the CUT with 9” that was taken off. The cut is uneven and CHOPPED. Perhaps blaming the customer for a bad hair cut should not be the way to go! NEVER AGAIN.

My stylist is Brittany Wagner! Not only is she awesome at what she does, you can tell she really enjoys it! She always keeps me happy and puts up with all the different things I like to do to my hair. Shes also very good about working around schedules, which isnt easy with kids :) She also keeps me updated on all the sales and specials and makes sure I never run low on product. Shes my fav and Ill continue to see her for more future hair styles to come :)

Quite possibly the worst salon I have ever been to. I came here about three months ago for a hair cut and ombre dye. Not only did I have to wait 45 minutes after getting there when I had an appointment but the stylist absolutely ruined my hair. I had orange streaks throughout my hair and the cut was crooked. They were not honest about pricing either. I contacted the manager and after two days of not returning my calls she finally answered and was extremely rude on the phone, refused to refund me or do anything about the problem. Complete waste of 180$. I would never recommend then to anyone.

Hair dressers talking bad about the other hair dressers and the manager to me and around me while I was getting my hair done. My hair is more damaged now than when I went in, it didnt turn out right, They were not very willing to help or admit any fault. The manager repeatedly Said that a hot curling iron on freshly bleached hair would NOT cause damage. Obviously it would, especially on fine hair. Hair cut was very uneven, about an inch difference from one side to the other. Am going to have to go somewhere else to get it fixed.

I see Missy Batchelor for all my hairstyles. Shes amazing at her work and is extremely friendly! Never a boring moment and is very in depth of what you are wanting done. Excellent work and always above and beyond on satisfaction!

Went there for a pedicure and a haircut and both were fantastic! I have thinner hair and the stylist didnt have a problem in dealing with it. Would go back and recommend to folks!

The Parlour is a beautiful place full of old charm. Brittany Wagner has been cutting my hair for quite a while now, by far the longest I have stayed with a certain person. She is professional yet personable, fun and most of all great at her job.

Ive been going here for a solid 15 years and theyve always had the greatest staff. Haircuts, waxes, and manicures are all done with care and confidence. Theyre the best around!

I used the Parlour for hair and makeup for my wedding. Beforehand they had set up an itinerary for that day. It listed three ladies to do hair and makeup, Erika, Carly and Lindsey. The day of the wedding, two of the three ladies listed showed up. Brooke arrived on the day of my wedding instead of Lindsey . Erika and Carly were great. On the other hand, Brooke was not sufficiently skilled to be performing wedding up-dos. She had absolutely no interaction with my bridesmaids and I, she maybe said 10 words the whole time she was with us, and she did not listen to the girls on how they wanted their hair done. The hair that she worked on was very unsatisfactory, and had to be redone. Fortunately my sister in law was in the wedding party and was able to completely redo two of the girls hair. We came to find that Brooke does not work at the Parlour regularly.After the wedding, I had called the Parlour and discussed my concerns with them and asked for some of the money back on the two girls hair that had to be redone. The Parlour took money for a service that wasnt provided to two of my bridesmaids. In lieu of a refund for these two girls, all the Parlour would offer me was $20 off a service at their salon. I explained that the offer was not acceptable and they said thats all they would do about it. Bottom line, they should have refunded the money for these two up-dos.I would not recommend using them for your wedding services unless you have a bridesmaid that can be already to jump in and fix the hair.

Missy is great! Fun and personable, knows her stuff, I just got a simple hair cut and brow wax, but its like she knew what I wanted! And I love having it so close to home!

I had a wonderful time at the Parlour on the Avenue on Saturday morning. I walked out feeling like a new woman. I love the cut and highlight. Thanks Susan for doing a a great job and keeping me looking fresh.

I love everything about The Parlour from the warm and welcoming greeting I get when walking in to the pampering I feel during my visit and the trust I have in my hair stylist! 💕 I miss The Parlour when I am out of town for manicures and haven’t found another salon that compares!

I love my experience everytime I visit the parlour. The victorian atmosphere and the personal, down -to -earth customer service makes you feel like youre royalty everytime youre there. The stylists show you exactly what products to use and how to design your hair at home. Plus, they have numerous services in which they offer. I will NEVER step foot in another salon again.

It is always a relaxing experience when visiting Parlour on the Avenue. The atmosphere is spa-like and the skill level of the stylists is exemplary. I feel like I have just experienced a mini-vacation every time I stop in.

Got nails done was all messed up said something got told that they would fix them which wasnt any better!! Got told they would fix them with someone else a different day and take off what I had already paid went got them taken care of cashed out got told had to pay full price I will not be going back they never told me that before I left or I would have went else where to get them fixed

A friend of mine and I spent a great relaxing day at the Parlour in Harrison Ohio. I had an excellent session with a mani/pedi, facial and massage. I highly recommend The Parlour if your close to Harrison. The staff is great and the renovated building is full of charm!
