I was just passing through, but if you have to stop in Hattiesburg, this place is the spot. The drinks are good and the company is even better. Folks are real friendly down here.

The Tavern is hands-down the best bar in Hattiesburg. A lot of pool tables, a GREAT owner/bartender, a claw machine with porn and dildos, and a punching bag game that gives you a good idea of whos a macho jerk. Back when the building was St. Elmos, it was kinda a no mans land if you catch my drift, but theres definitely tons of men around now. Plus, when the owner kicks you out for being rude to the cop on the back deck, hes not mean about it, just like hey bro, hes a really good dude and youre pretty drunk its probably about time you find a ride.Overall a swell place. If Nicks Ice House sold hard liquor Id probably go there more often, since its closer to where I live and I like the decor a little better, but it is what it is- a great place to go!!! Best bands in Hattiesburg if you arent the type that has a tastefully shaggy beard, smokes American Spirits, and is trying to promote the culture of the area. Yay Tavern. I only didnt give it five stars because Ive yet to see anyone naked or have someone give me free pizza while I was there. I mean, five stars literally means perfect.

It was a warm night. The kind of night that makes a wife wonder if the back of her husbands head is really that tough. I went out drinking and this is where I did it. It was good. Pool tables and beer.

Dive bar extraordinare. Yes, please.

This place is great! Ive worked a lot of shows here and everyone that works there is great. Friendly, good bar, and great music.

Cool venue. Live music on the weekends.

Limited bathrooms, cash only bar and nonsmoking.

Best damn bar in town.
