I have been going to Body Balance Massage & Skincare Spa on and off for 7+ years. The staff is always friendly and the service is great. Recently I have been working with Jen and I really love how she not only helps solve problem areas in my back, but works to find other areas I’m not even aware of. I always leave feeling relaxed and refreshed. I highly recommend checking it out.

I had the most amazing visit to Body Balance today. Jenn was my massage therapist and she worked magic. At the start of my session she inquired about pressure and any problem areas I had. It was my shoulders. Any tension or pain I walked in with was gone. I highly recommend Jenn!! This was my third visit and I’d say my best. Can’t wait until next month.

Jen was amazing! I knew in the first ten minutes this was the best massage I’ve ever had. No masseuse has ever been able to loosen my incredible tight muscles. Highly recommended! Thanks Jen!

My husband purchased 4 gift cards for a Christmas gift. We booked one facial and 3 massage. A hour before the facial we were notified it was canceled due to a last minute emergency. I booked a deep tissue massage and the masseuse spent the whole time trying to loosen up muscles. But the time he was ready for a massage the time was up. I spent the time sleeping and I can say the best was the best time. I am a mom of 3 and work to jobs so any quiet time is a blessing. My aunt had to repeatedly tell the masseuse what and how to massage and still didn’t get what she wanted. Thank god my mother in law was able to get what she wanted and was happy with her service. I had to call over 5 times to call about a refund. I would never go here again or recommend.

I love Body Balance. Ive been several times and Ive experienced amazing customer service every time. The massage therapists and estheticians are super knowledgeable and thorough. I always leave happy. On my most recent visit, I bought a Naturopathica product from the displays in the waiting area and its working wonders for my face. Cant wait to go back!

If I could half a star I would do that. The worst spa experience ever. We booked out a 60 min couple’s massage just before the thanksgiving holiday to relax. The masseuse was so rude, she wrapped it up in 20 minutes and didn’t even do the whole body. Massaged on my back with the towel on for majority of the time. Didn’t put in enough energy to do it right despite telling her three times. I wonder if she was even certified to massage or not because in my opinion she put in 0 effort. I asked for higher pressure on my shoulder and she went to put her elbow in my hip. I mean sickest experience ever. The manager at the time told us that management will give you a call after the holidays, it’s been over a week, no call yet. They do a bad job and don’t even care.

Booked a facial for the first time here, after reading the highly rated reviews. Since I was a first time customer, I was charged a discounted rate for a 1 hour facial but my service only lasted 40 mins. I was taken care of by Brianna and she seemed like a newbie who didn’t actually know the process too well. Product was applied to my face with nervous, careful fingers. It wasn’t massaged in as I’d normally expect but also wiped off immediately after. I’m pretty sure there was no time for my skin to absorb anything before it was wiped off. There was a lot of time spent in the middle, too - getting up to get the products, get a wipe, get a towel, throw the wipe, put away a product, wash the brushes/ applicators used, etc. I felt ripped off, especially since I asked the person at the front desk why my service didn’t last the whole hour and they said they would ask the esthetician and inform management but there was no make-good offered for my service being cut short. They probably used good products but I won’t be visiting here again.

About 8yrs with this spa and still appreciate the consistency of the service I get. Other than missing the old aesthetic of the space, there are few, if any complaints I have. I’ve received and gifted both facials and massages with positive results.Over the past year or more, Tyson has been my go-to for massages and he’s amazing at what he does. I leave feeling two inches taller and at ease every single time. He’s been a solid part of dealing with pandemic stress. Front desk is consistently courteous and efficient. Would easily recommend.

It took me four years to find a massage therapist that was the perfect fit. I enjoy the deep tissue and sports massage therapy that David executives with precision. He is always caring, professional, and in tune with any injury or concern I present. He is always able to find spots that I didnt even know needed work. I highly recommend David!Enhancements are seamlessly added into the experience- I recommend the Himalayan Hot Stones.The front staff is always extremely helpful and friendly assisting with appointments and payments.

Truly the most disappointing massage experience I’ve ever had. My husband and I went for a couples massage. I asked for focus on neck shoulder back. She instead gave me what felt like mostly an oily rub down, not a massage. There was so little pressure that when she paused to “press” on areas, it felt like she just stopped for a break. I’ve never had a massage where so little pressure was applied anywhere! Towards the end, she rubbed my left arm then moved to a “scalp massage” but really was just lightly rubbing oil into my hair. She must have forgotten about my right arm. She also must have forgotten to give me the hot towels for hands/feet my husband got.My husband had a severely aggressive masseuse when he asked for “medium” pressure. His right hamstring is still sore from how aggressive she was.We both left feeling oily and cheated because no towel was provided to wipe off. It was not worth the $319+tip.

The massages here are not very good, the price isnt bad so I guess you get what you pay for. Still, I dont think its good enough for the price point. Whatever oil they use has caused all my clothes to smell like massage oil (somehow its migrated across my wardrobe like the blob).

I had a wonderful experience with Body Balance Massage and Skincare. I received a gift certificate for a facial and massage. Stella was great - My skin looked brighter after and the extractions were effective. She also had some helpful tips. Fatime was also incredible - As a physical therapist, this was one of the best massages I have ever had. She had great pressure and I was impressed with her knowledge. Would definitely recommend Stella, Fatime and the rest of the team!

Request Tyson! He was wonderful! Perfect amount of pressure and he really listened to my problem spots in the beginning and addressed throughout. Will request him again for sure!

Wonderful experience at Body Balance! During my most recent visit the check in process was sent electronically in advance which made the experience even more pleasant. My therapist Balmore was EXCELLENT! He was extremely professional and provided the “homework” I needed to take with me and make sure I enjoy long term effects of my massage. I highly recommend body balance more than ever!!!!Additional pluses: Extremely clean, comfortable rooms with any toiletries you might need, serene atmosphere.

It is a lovely place. I liked to go for a 60 minute massage. I am sad that Naomi left. She is the best therapist I have ever seen.However, the one star off is for the massage given by one of the male therapists. My shoulders feel even more painful after the session. I don’t feel relaxed at all. Hope he get better next time.From my experiences, female therapists usually take really good care of my hair during the session.No discrimination here. But I think all the therapists should be to told to be careful about long hair.

I had a 90 minute Swedish massage with Jenn and a 60 minute facial with Melissa and both were fantastic! It was a perfect and relaxing treat for myself. Jenn was attentive to my right areas and I left my massage feeling invigorated and certainly loosened up. Melissa was incredibly knowledgeable about what was best for my skin, and my face certainly looked brighter and healthier as soon as my facial was complete. Melissa also gave me great recommendations for products to help with some skin issues. I definitely recommend Body Balance and I will certainly be coming back soon!

I sign up for the trial first visit, average experience. But I signup for the membership after that. After few visit, there’s no improvement in my skin although they recommend all kind of treatment for an additional price. For a 60 min facial, you WILL ONLY GET 30 MIN of it. They apply mask and leave you there sleeping for another 30 min while they start doing their sanitizing/cleaning of tools. They gave me a hand and neck massage toward the end. Even though they wipe with a wet clothes, your arm and neck still very greasy/oily, very!I canceled my membership and still have a couple of visit left. This is not a place I will come back for. They just want your money. A 60 min facial but only 30 min of work.

Working over a computer and having taken a fall my body felt like it was encased in cement. After 90 minutes I was human again. I have never had a bad massage here.

The atmosphere of the spa is very soothing. The front desk staff is extremely friendly; always smiling, always laughing, and in a great good. The woman who did my facial was very informative on how to properly take care of skin and was able to answer all of my questions. She was also very gentle. I wish that the session was longer. Overall, I had a phenomenal experience here and I intend on returning.

Such a nice place. Quiet and relaxed, and the staff is really lovely. I got a medical massage from Rick and felt like a new woman! He also gave me some advice on how to relieve my chronic pain in between appointments. I did a 60 min but will treat myself to a 90 min next time. Definitely recommend!

I think my masseuse was new, which I understand-everyone has to start somewhere! However, she just kind of started abruptly which my leg. I felt everything was very repetitive and wasn’t really in tune with some of the areas that I needed help with. It also seemed like she had a hard time getting my knots out. I’m sure with experience and guidance she will get better, but unfortunately this time around, I wasnt very happy with my massage overall.

Body Balance is my favorite go to spa. The staff is so professional and always makes me feel as comfortable as possible through out the process. I’ve always gone for my 60-90 minute massages but decided to take advantage of their facial packages this time around. My esthetician Ivy guided me through the whole process to assure me of what MY skin needed, and didn’t try to over sell me on unnecessary products, just exactly what I needed. My skin is so tight and glowing, highly recommend Body Balance.

Every massage therapist is thoughtful, thorough, and knowledgeable, and every detail of the space promotes calm and wellbeing.Ive gone for a simple I just need to relax and loosen up and of recent Ive been going for additional support of physical therapy - and the therapists always deliver.Pricing is the best you will find as well - especially if youre a member. You get a full 60 or 90 minute treatment. The variety of treatments and additions to treatments is extensive and covers all needs from relaxation to (sometimes intense!) deep tissue.Facials I cant provide much detail on - but theyve great products (Naturopathica) on display and Im certain I would enjoy a relaxing facial after a massage.NOTE - since COVID-19 - theyve stepped up their game even more. You are safe and well cared for at Body Balance.

Ive been coming here for almost 2 years now. Had great service last year, but this year, ever since the new location, I have to somehow book massages and facials 2 months in advance.I get a call today, 6 days before my facial-massage appointment, 2 months after I made the appointment, that suddenly the aesthetician has a change in schedule and cannot stay passed 4pm when my appointment is for 6pm. Instead of refunding me, they tell me a manager will get back to me in 1-2 days about a tedund. Im not sure why I had to last minute cater to a service providing businesss change in schedule. I, like everyone else, plan their day around what limited appointments we can make at your venue.I had the monthly membership for a facial but had to cancel it because you cannot accommodate me when I try to book appointments except one every 2 to 3 months, so my credits are accruing and I couldnt use them due to no availability of appointments. How are you running a business like this?

I was given a 60 minute session as a gift from my wife and it was definitely a much needed experience. Staff was professional and the massage specialist Jamie, did a great job working into my areas of soreness. I would go back again 👍

I’ve been going to Body Balance for several yrs now...Eve, Vanessa and especially Jen, were my go to ppl. Jen was always able to get me sorted out when I had flare up w my back injury and she left when the pandemic hit. I’ve tried 3 masseuses since then and none of them were really any good at all and then today, I had a great experience again. A new woman (also named Jen) who more so specializes in body work took care of me and I felt a difference immediately. It’s nice to see such a great therapist here again, I was beginning to lose hope!

This was my first time coming here for a massage and facial and I absolutely loved the experience! Jenn and Stella were amazing and I cannot recommend them enough! The prices were also pretty reasonable and I will for sure be coming back again.

Body Balance is easy to get to and conveniently located in Hoboken, right across from the Path Station. The atmosphere inside is calm and relaxing. The staff is friendly and very helpful. My facial was phenomenal, felt amazing and instantly saw results when the session was over. Will definitely be back!

Ive been going to Body Balance for over 5 years, through pregnancy, apartment living, and even moving into our first house over 30+ minutes away in NJ. I always return to Body Balance for my massages. Almost every therapist is phenomenal and Ive rarely had a booking issue. Definitely my go-to for relaxation or massage therapy.

Jaime is absolutely wonderful!! Book my next two appointments right after my massage today. Jaime focused on all of my problem areas with an absolute amazing touch and perfect amount of pressure. I feel so relaxed and renewed!

Great facial. The session was thoughtful and I appreciate my facialist talking through my skin analysis and the type of treatment that she would recommend. She also made sure to ask about my sensitivity level about extractions which not enough facialists do. I left with my skin feeling cleansed, soft, and well hydrated.

Body Balance had been my go-to for massages for years before I moved to the west coast. Now, I’m able to still have my self-care with BB through virtual sessions! Today I enjoyed a virtual facial with Natallia, who was so professional, knowledgeable and kind. Her voice was so soothing as she guided me through the self-massage and applying of products. Great place for therapeutic massage. I leave feeling that tension problem areas have been addressed at the source. The membership is good value, working similarly to chains like Massage Envy but with much better therapists and youre supporting a small business. Jason is great for deep tissue.

OWNERS RESPONSE IS A LIEI got sick after and now my skin hangs off my bones. I have cellulite everywhere that was not there before. Damaged me. I had a great body and it aged 20 yrs overnight.Edit to response below:I never said you guys treated cellulite. I never had it to begin with. But the deep tissue massage damaged my body. Your gaslighting gets you no where.

Not a great experience. I purchased the full body massage and requested to focus on back and legs but it was not done that way. Seemed like the masseur was rushing. Won’t go again and recommend to anyone.

Ive heard good things but unfortunately the reservation process is so inefficient (broken), Ive been unable to schedule an appointment for two days. Ive called multiple times, left a voice message, submitted an appointment request online (received confirmation that someone would contact me shortly and no one did), reached out via Facebook Messenger chat...nothing. Completely non-responsive. Based on this experience alone it may be better for others to attempt taking their business elsewhere. Very disappointing.

Great back facials (bacials). I have hormonal issues (too much estrogen) so my breakouts are harder to treat. They clear up in a few weeks once I visit there. Always get great skin advice there too!

I went here for a back and face facial last month. The staff member doing my facial did extraction on the back and my face which left red rashes and dry skin. It has been almost 20 days now and still the red marks arent gone. The service was really disappointing and am not going back again. Not at all recommended.

Great place for a massage!! I subscribe to the monthly massage packages and its so worth it! My favorite masseuse is Meliton. His hands are magic!! When I leave I feel like Im floating on a cloud.

Worse experience, first i bout 2 massages, when arrived 40 minutes earlier, 5 minutes before the appointment they tell me they have to re schedule.From 4 pm to 8 pm, and they refused initially to give me money back, which eventually they did as other customers were arriving.I was called before the confirmation call, and alerted that if i didnt show up i would be charged $40 for a non show fee, and then 24 hs before, i receive an SMS which i confirmed.What is the point in playing the big corporation when you cant hold it?Awful place wont be returning, still waiting on my money back from this thieves.They also fail to inform show as per LAW their business license, and this place is breaking the law.-- Additional edit to nonsense response --The credit is being hold by them, and not posted on the credit card, so no actual refund was given - Next time when you try to broadcast what you do to you regular customers try to make sure you actually cleaned the situation. Apologize is ok, i am sorry for many things, remember you charge $ 40 if i say sorry i cant go within 24hs, so sorry is not good enough.Emergencies do happen, agreed, you had 40 minutes to tell me when you were looking at my face, and you wait until the last minute? So i am sorry as well, that you take your time to cover this up.How you guys feel is irrelevant to me, you run a business in the service industry. Rick (owner and management) is by far the most professional business owners that I have had a pleasure of encountering. I had a bit of a issue with the communications from my esthitician and Rick not only rectified the situation but went above and beyond to ensure I was a satisfied customer.

My therapist Cecelia gave a transcendent massage. It was a truly sublime experience. How grateful and fortunate I am for it.

80 dollar cancellation charge (40 for me and 40 for my wife) for a facial when I called to inform I had an emergency. No attempt to reschedule. Even my doctors office doesn’t charge such a high cancellation fee. Horrible and no words.
