In my recent stay at the hotel, I couldnt ignore the subpar conditions – from dirty pillows and a sofa to a shower held together with duct tape. The consistently rude behavior of the staff further marred the experience. These issues seriously compromised what should have been a pleasant stay, and I believe improvements are crucial for the hotels survival.
Aye no cap I was surprised on how good the service was, I didnt like the first room they tried to give me due to my own personal reasons. they didnt hesitate to accommodate my needs. the room was clean. no complaints from me

Ive just had a poor experience with OYO since I chose them. I ended up canceling my booking twice now...First, I tried to prepay online, and it told me my amount would be $198. I entered my card information and confirmed, and then the booking got placed on hold because Chase flagged it as potential fraud. When I went to see my email from Chase, it said that OYO tried to charge $260. This made me feel very uncertain about this hotel chain...Then I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. I figured maybe it was just an online error. So I decided to rebook with the pay-when-you-arrive option. It dawned on me that MAYBE they would try to change the price between now and my booking date a few weeks later, so I decided to call and confirm my price would stay the same. I went through the automated system first, which told me I had a $198 balance with a $0 security deposit--cool. I finally reached this specific hotel location via phone, and the man who answered was unfriendly and a little strange. He was very curt--borderline rude--and he told me there would be a $100 deposit. I understand that this may not be his fault, but I shouldnt be told one thing only to find out another. Nowhere while booking did it mention this deposit. So I just decided to cancel again.Overall, it was a rather unpleasant & stressful situation. The reason Im not giving it 1 star is because perhaps, if I went through with it, I would have a lovely time there... who knows? However, the whole thing just seemed sketchy to me. It wasnt worth the stress. Not when there are other hotels similarly priced.I hope your experience is better than mine.
The hotel is affordable but there were some problems.1. Hard to find because it is called Hollywood and not Oyo and they don’t tell you that when booking online.2. The furnitures are extremely old, at least they should sow the torn sofas3. The pillow case had makeup stains4. The rooms smell so much dusts and smoke. It’s not a smoke free environment just in case you don’t smoke.5. There is a deposit fee of 100$ and they never mention it when you’re booking, but you can’t get a key to your room without that amount while if you don’t have it there is no refund to your money that you paid for the room.The lights in the room are too dim, you can’t read anything unless you go and use bathroom lights maybe.They should do better.
We have just arrived home, and this hotel is one of the nicest places I have ever stayed. Everybody was very kind and helpful. The food was great, especially the hamburger on TX street food night. We had some problems with our lamp, but they fixed it very quickly. Just one thing: do not book a highway room. During the night can be noisy. It was not a problem for my husband, but it was a little problem for me.
I dont know which &hotel the reviews are for because the hotel I stayed at last night was horrible. When I arrived the man at the front desk was not very welcoming at all and took forever to check me in. When I got to the door we noticed the dook key hole was loose and when closed the door it wasnt very secure. I didnt feel safe at all during my stay because the of door. Upon entering room there was a mold smell from the carpet, the comforter was torn and stained, the curtain was torn, the dresser used as a tv stand was missing the drawers, there were bugs in the light fixture, a light was out in the washroom, the door knob was MISSING for the door handle for the bathroom, the shower had hair on the walls and the sheets had black spots on them. I would have left immediately had it not been from being so exhausted from a very long drive and the room was already paid for AND the hotel required $100 deposit during check in so I figured they might not give it back if we decided to leave. in would Definitely NOT recommend.
I wouldn’t let my dogs sleep in these rooms horrible experience rooms are gross 🤢 smell like cigarettes horrible odor beds are infested with bed bugs it was 1:30 in the morning and I woke up too bed bugs biting me I go too the front desk too let em know and the guys in the front mad at me that I woke him up the dresser are missing The draws lmao I stayed in room 119 ! The huge, comfy bed and pullout sofa were pros. There was a small hole in the bathroom wall I would fix and maybe fumigate a little more for roaches but other than that, no other issue besides not being able to get a strong wifi signal, which wasnt an issue walking closer to the office. Would stay again.
The owner or front desk worker guy is extremely rude and unprofessional. I checked out early and forgot to get my cash refund. When I returned that night after I realized I left my deposit, the same dude that checked me in was there when I returned. The morning workers did not update the paperwork after I checked out and he said I was lying about receiving my deposit. I was about to tear that whole facility up. But he gave me my bread and told me I’m no longer welcomed to his property.
We arrived off an extremely long flight at 8am in the morning and normal check in isnt until 4pm. Even though we arrived at this time we were given our room then and there. Lance on the front desk was extra helpful and wrote down some important information for us knowing that after the long flight that we might be feeling less than human
Only about a mile or so from the Houston - I-69 & I-610 Pier, this is a fantastic place to spend the night. What I loved was the room had laminate wood flooring and plantation shutters NO CARPETS OR CURTAINS. Very environmentally friendly. Best price I could find for this area. Friendly staff and free underground parking. It is within a mile or so of the Houston - I-69 & I-610 pier so the price is well worth the short drive.
It was an amazing stay at Hotel Houston - I-69 & I-610& one of the most memorizing experiences we had. Guest service assistant are very helpful & kind. They assisted us on each and everywhere. Both are very polite and during the our stay they had great took care of us. Hotel is in in the heart of city and very nice and clean.
There are a lot of false reviews on here. There was a lot of damage to the rooms and dead roaches and crumbs. After getting our room we didn’t get under the sheets till a few hours. one side of the bed was damp with urine on the mattress cover. When I brought this to the attention of the hotel staff he made accusations that I was lying.
Terrible experience. Terrible manager. I will not allow my Dog to lodge in there. The manager is so self centered, I lodged in there for a week &: need to extend my stay & the manager told me that I have to move out of the room by 11.00 O clock, & come back by 3 pm or I pay extra $30 to continue with my extension. I never had such experience. It was a mistake on my part lodging in the place in the first place.
It was recommended by the conference organizer. The reception was very good and food was okay ...It also have nice gym and other amenities. The place was located somewhat out of main attractions. Also it does not have direct Houston airport link nearby. But overall very good and value for money
The men in the front desk was so rude with us, we went there because we missed a flight and I was travelling with my 6 years old daughter.He made us feel so bad.So I wouldnt recommed and I wont booking again.
Ideal location to everything. Shuttle service to Movies and Metro station. Shops and local pubs within walking distance. Friendly reception staff. Lovely place area, bar and lounge. Restaurant on-site was a bit pricey so didnt eat there but they do street food on patio area during the evenings, which was a lovely idea with soft music and sometimes a guitar player.
Very unprofessional motel. Very sketchy. Bad quality sheets. Walls are very dirty. Experience was very bad. Lots of People wondering around doing sketchy things. Canceled and did not receive a refund!!! Dont make the same mistake I did!!!
The price was too high for what I received. The actual hotel was awful. It smelled of stale cigarettes, the dresser was missing an entire drawer, the TV had no cable, the remote barely worked, the clerk asked for more money because the hotel was desperate.
In the centre of old town. 1 minute to Central/4 mins. To City. Traditionalcomfortable, and helpful staff. Although no bar or restaurant, as it is in a restaurant and bar area there are about 30 to choose from. The free afternoon tea/snacks is a bonus.We had the junior suite, which was fine, although on consideration we spent little time there.
The worse place to book with, The staff is so unprofessional and ignorant! The customer service center will try to keep your money even after confirming a refund! Sleeping on the curb seems like luxury compared to this dump!
The concierges though extremely busy always take time to assist. I was especially impressed by a young concierge by the name of Marcy. She went out of her way to handle issues from a car rental company I used (avoid renting from downtown Hollywood .. us airport or alternative location s) I would rate this place a 5 primarily because of location, service and room cleanliness and maintenance
Arrived from a late night flight Form Ahmadabad were tired & exhausted ...Reaching the hotel u/stand check In was @ 2pm. It was then one person from the staff came to our rescue as an angel and not only allotted us the room but also gave us a complimentary breakfast... I mean wow.... Thanks a lot... Stay Blessed......
Sent my staff here for a business trip. Once they checked in to their room, they were presented with a dresser with no drawers, broken mirror, broken phone, holes in the walls, etc. They gave the keys back to the front desk staff and said, there is no way we can stay here, were going to find another hotel. Previously, this was the Hollywood Inn, a 1 star hotel. In fact, the sign out front still says Hollywood Inn. The new name, Hotel Houston, somehow or another gets 4 stars on Google. BEWARE! Management refused to refund me...

Just arrived back in London after our first visit TX. We chose the Houston - I-69 & I-610 Hollywood hotel from previous feedback and for the convenience of position on Hollywood near a Metro station and one stop from Universal Studios. Perfect four night stay, great service, fabulous large comfortable rooms, beds and bathroom and the most amazing view overlooking the Hollywood. Definitely recommend
The location of this hotel is exceptional if you plan on visiting some of Hollywoods attractions. Not only is it right next to the Dolby theatre where the Oscars and movie premiers are held, it is across the street from the wax museum, Ripleys Believe it or Not, the Hollywood museum, and so much more. The walk in city is all around this area, so a great starting location for some great strolls.
Very very disappointed with this hotel. 3 hours into my stay i was itching and i found bed bugs in the sheets. I got bit like 5-6 times. I do not recommend this dirty place to anybody.
This hotel is very well located in Houston - I-69 & I-610, close to shops and restaurants, including the popular mall. The rooms are a good size, very comfortable, and cheerfully decorated. The price beats any lodging in the area, and its easy to get to from other destinations in Houston - I-69 & I-610, if you want to focus your trip there, or elsewhere, if you are hitting a variety of sights in the greater TX area.
I stayed here for 2 weeks and its not worth 65 daily or 350 weekly...toilets dont flush carpet was comming up exposing little nails and loud freeway noise...not worth the price...besides the rude staff the wifi is fast and the beds are ultra comfortable.long story short this place is just good for hourly fun

OYO IS A SCAM....I JUST TRIED BOOKING A $31 ROOM FOR THE NIGHT. I ASKED THE LADY SPECIFICALLY IF I COULD GO GET MY KEY AS SOON AS I PAY SHE SAID YES. THEY BOOKED THE ROOM SO WHEN I GET THERE THEY DIDNT TELL ME THERES A $100 DEPOSIT. AND CHECKIN WAS AT 3PM BAD SERVICE
The staff was rude, did not let me check in due an age requirement but did not inform me their age requirement. Also denied my refund, claiming it was a “no-show” fee even though I was denied check-in. I would rate it 0 stars if I could.
Cheap room with no hassle. I got my deposit back. The walls need to be repainted, but for what I paid I am ecstatic.

It has no bathtubs only showers, it is very small, no drawers in dresser, nowhere to hang up your clothes either!!
Roaches and feces in the sheets charged me a 75 deposit told me I would have it back in 15 days and they never redfunded do not stay here unless u wanna pay 80 for bugs might as well sleep outside , bought this room for a homeless girl and had to drive 45 minutes to get help cause they didn’t bother assisting on the phone.
