I went for brunch on a Saturday afternoon. It was absolutely too loud. The music can be heard before entering the parking lot. I thought speakers were outside the establishment to draw in customers, WRONG. The speakers are on the patio for the dining area. RIDICULOUSLY loud. Don’t try to speak with anyone at your table, because you’ll find yourself yelling at them and still not getting the message across. Also they over worked the mid day waiter because she had too many tables by herself. They open at 12PM on Saturday but they weren’t prepared to seat people until 12:30ish. There was a situation with the hookah, in which a gentleman tried to fix so I won’t expand on that because he was very apologetic and did a great job on elevating the issue. Food was okay, not worth dealing with the loud music. It’s a turn up spot for a young crowd, I’m in my 30’s and it’s too much for me. It’s not so much a relax brunch restaurant like I wanted or that it portrays in its advertising. Also, LIMITED BRUNCH MENU. You have 4 options chicken, shrimp, lamb, or fish with grits or French toast. I had the chicken and French toast, mediocre but not rave worthy. Dang shame because I try to support black businesses.
When we got there at 11:45 a.m. we were told that the doors open at noon. We stood in line until well over 12:20 p.m. as some of the staff was only pulling up after noon. We were seated on the patio but there was no circulation at all. We asked if someone could please turn on the fans, but that did not happen until well over an hour later. The waitresses were doing their best, but it was hard to get a refill of water and hot sauce. The bright spot of this visit was the food. I had the lamb chops with French toast and it was delicious. I did order the peach topping for my French toast and was told after it was brought to my table that there was none. I asked for bananas topping instead and never received it. I doubt that Ill revisit but the food is so good that Ill place a to go order.
Bar 2200- wanted to be “upscale” but misses the mark. We had booked a reservation on eventbrite before we even left Atlanta. When we arrived at the venue, they said they no longer have a partnership with them so our reservation wasn’t honored. They made us wait but we’re able to seat our group of 9 within a few minutes. There weren’t many people there so it was no surprise they found us a spot. The building itself and outdoor patio area we sat in could use a facelift. The flooring, decor and such was old and needed maintenance ( laminate flooring on patio and decorative “grass” on the walls). The brunch menu did not have much to choose from - no eggs at all on the brunch menu. Just variations of grits and French toast. We got the mimosas which we mixed ourselves at the table $30, because individual drinks at $18 and up seemed ludicrous. The DJ/ music was good and the food that we had was enjoyed by our group. My shrimp and grits was tasty, although a tad bit salty for my liking. This place was ok, but not a spot I’d return to if ever visiting Houston again.
I dont even know where to start with this place. I took my girlfriends for a birthday brunch, got the tickets off of Event Brite because of the advertised R&B vibes. It states that brunch starts at 12pm, we got there at 12:05 and the door was still locked. The manager and the only bar tender on shift were still setting up, which we dont mind waiting. She was polite and opened the door about 10mins later. We were sat and we ordered our food; 2 orders of the catfish and Hennessy glazed French toast, and 1 order of the shrimp and grits. They were short-staffed and we were very patient with them because its understandable. Our meal came out, the catfish was really delicious, the french toast, I didnt care for, and the grits was uncooked. It looked like it was just soaked in water. The birthday girl had to drink mimosa only because we sent the meal back to be re-cooked. Not one staff stopped by to acknowledge the situation or give us update on how long it would take. 20mins passed by and the food wasnt out yet, so we decided to pay and leave. The bartender was our waitress proceeded to tell us the manager took $10 off our bill and I had to inform her the food was never touched. It was sent back. I refuse to pay for a meal that was never eaten. The manager stopped by and we explained the situation and she apologized for the miscommunication on their part. As we were about to leave, she brought out the shrimp and grits saying it was on the house, but we refused and left. P.S: I still tipped awesome, but everything about that business is disorganized.
I came to this bar 2 years ago and it was popping, a good crowd with plenty of food, drink and good music. This time around was very different. The downstairs was closed, they only had 3 menu items and one of the items was catfish. It was awful, very fishy and almost burnt. Also, the liquor variety was non existent. The music was cool and there were ppl in and out at the time we were there. I wont be back, ever.
Was in Houston for the weekend so my friends and I decided to have brunch here. The food was pretty good. I wanted the shrimp and grits BUT the waitress informed us during their staff meetings to NOT suggest the dish because its not that good. The dj was cool they also offer mimosas and hookah. The main drawbacks for us was it was 7 of us and there wasnt seating to fit all of us COMFORTABLY. We ended up being seated outside and of course it was hot and not all the fans worked. Our table was extremely crowded due to everyones food and drink. Also when it was time for us to leave the establishment only splits checks 3 ways and we had a hell of a time getting the check from our waitress.
Iv been to this bar a few times, but hadn’t been in a while because of the service and experience. It wasn’t too great.I recently attended for a meeting with some friends and was serviced by a bartender named Alex, and when I tell you she made me feel so welcomed- I truly mean that. I will most likely be back just because of her. She really changed my mind about patronizing this business and I truly appreciate people like her. I will be back. Food was great and the hookah as well was reasonably priced.
Very unprofessional establishment. They will seat you without informing you of prior reservations and then hover around you with security to get you to leave your table. Making an issue out of what should have been nothing. They will wait until the reservation is in the building and waiting to ask you to leave with no accommodations what do ever. The reservation for the other party was for 10:30 we were notified at 10:32 that we needed to move.
Experience was ok. Waitress were beautiful and full of energy. The food on the other hand wasnt great. Rum punch was too sweet and the french toast was nothing special. White bread? The wings were seasoned well but the grease taste old. Plastic utensils and cracked glass are not classy. The place had great music but it really need a deep cleaning.
Nice vibes and later happy hour but music loud af , you can’t talk to someone in your party without yelling. You can feel the music vibrating through your body because it’s so loud and that’s what sucks. Don’t advertise as a bar/lounge if you’re going to blast music like a nightclub… suggestion, turn music up after 11-close. People entering before coming for vibes and conversation.
I was visiting Houston for my girl birthday. We decide to do brunch here. We didn’t have a reservation but they accommodated us with table. So first the table an bench was completely dirty, had to ask them to clean it.Ordered the regular margaritas completely juice for 15$. Food however was amazing lamb chop/ shrimp an grits amazing.French toast catfish/chicken amazing. However the establishment is old run down inside very unclean. Sitting outside with no Proper working fan. Then the worst happen power went out several times. Management was so unprofessional, never communicated the situation, to the guest. sum of our food was missing, and the owner wasn’t accommodating our bill was 400$x and after sitting without power for over 30mins on the heated patio we decided to get up an walk out, we had to ask for our bill.And Still no apology for the Convenience at all from the owner or manager on stuff. It’s thing like this that make u not wanna support black own businesses. I give them Two stars because the food was good.
This place seems like it would be extremely fun. Unfortunately we did not get a chance to eat. The kitchen had an hour & 30 minute wait, not to mention our reservation was pushed back almost a full hour. We Spent more time standing outside then we did at the table. Im sure if we would have had a chance to eat we would have enjoyed the food. The music was nice and the atmosphere was fun.
We went here for a good friend’s birthday brunch. When we arrived we were told that parking was $20 to self park in the back of the lot. When we walked inside we were hit with a barrage of hookah smoke since the waiting area to go to the main dining room is right by the bar area and they couldn’t seat our party until half of us were there. The atmosphere of Bar 2200 is kind of confusing because it’s like a bar with the loud music and a pretty good DJ, but it also has a dining room. The food is priced like a restaurant, but it’s also really good. I ordered catfish and grits and it was excellent. The drinks are over priced and kind of watered down, but the mimosas are decently priced. The servers were great, friendly and quick.I have a few complaints about Bar 2200. First, the group seated behind us was smoking what smelled a lot like weed in the main dining room and it wasn’t addressed. Second, the brunch menu PRICES ARE WRONG! I ordered the $30 mimosas, which comes with a bottle of champagne and a carafe of juice, and the $23 fish and grits. I estimated my bill to be $63 with taxes and gratuity…no problem. When I received my bill it was $74. So I ask the waitress why is the bill so high and she tells me that the prices on the menu are ALL WRONG! Finally, their card reader wasn’t working so as we were getting ready to pay our bill we were told that we could only pay in cash and we could go downstairs and get it from the ATM machine.I gave them two stars because of the food and the DJ. I definitely have no plans to ever return. Matter of fact, we turned a couple of people around in the parking lot…sorry, not sorry.
Yeah I’m not too happy with this spot! First time in Houston and we were looking for a brunch spot so we stopped here. First of all you have to pay 20 for parking but ok that’s fine. Get there and their brunch menu is really only French toasts grits and either chicken fish shrimp or lamb chops. No eggs waffles or nothing else! I got the fish and grits and my shrimp was dirty as hell. The drinks are limited. They ain’t have much of nothing we drink…just horrible and I Definitely would not recommend this place!
I ordered a cosmopolitan, what I received was fruit juice with a splash of alcohol. I returned it, because given the price it wasn’t worth it to wait and see if the alcohol would “sneak up on you”.Ordered French toast and catfish. What I received was catfish that was cooked entirely too long and burnt French toast. I didn’t want to risk returning it, so I ate what I could. I ordered another round of mimosas for the table and received the wrong flavor sans alcohol. Let’s not start with the parking outside. Self parking in the lot of the establishment is $20. Not ticket or tags were given to notate you were allowed to park which seem scammy.Lastly apparently their card machines went out and they were expecting only cash. This was never communicated at any point during our experience here. They “offered” that they had an atm machine that guests could use, but then that is an additional fee on top of the charges to patronize here not including what we planned to tip our waitress.Not cool.Definitely not a place I would be in rush to revisit.The best part they had going for themIs the DJ. He was on one!
I’m a small food and supply delivery company that delivers to this establishment, Bar 2200. They placed a food supply order of over $2,000. We delivered as usual. Out of courtesy we give them 3 days to pay.It’s been over a month and they are refusing to pay their invoice or even work with us on payment.The owner is refusing to return calls or text. I wonder how they would feel if customers ordered and just refused to pay. This is just not right.
False Advertising from the web for sure. I thought this would be a cool laid back spot for my Bday. Went upstairs and nothing but ratchet and marijuana smokers. The waitress took 20 min to ask us for drinks and we waited additional 30 min on the drinks so we all left. While waiting on our ride, the waitress and bouncer came running after us and stated I had to pay for drinks I never received. The waitress said but we made the drinks and they are now ready... I said its too late. Sad part the place was not even packed. Its small and ghetto. Website make it look like a 5 star lounge/restaurant.
I like the layout of this bar and menu was pretty decent. The bartender upstairs very polite and helpful in making sure we was served. The only problem I had was waiting in line for about 15 to 20 mins when bar wasnt that pack. I also had one problem with hostess that was very rude and trying to start a problem with me and my party at the bar so we was asked to move to booth or leave I wasnt happy with that esp it being my first time there. So we left because we didnt feel happy no more after that other than that DJ was on point when was there around 1:00pm.
It might deserve 2 Stars. I will be gracious since it blacked owned Business.1. If Business is slow they force you upstairs which is reserved seating. Table or bottle service starting at $150 or you can leave the premises2. Self parking is 20 & Valet is $40. I self parked in front of the door myself $20.3. Once we communicated that we as whole had already spent 250.00 in their establishment . Why would you expect your paying clients to pay more to seat upstairs because your business is having a slow Friday night. The MOD informed us it was there Policy. It was up to us to determine if we would stay or not. Once we informed hed that we were a table of Managers. She returned an offer us a complimentary table upstairs. We met another couple that has the same experience. I hadnt even been in the restaurant/bar for an hour paid $50 margarita and titos Vodka.3.I have no intentions of returning.
Made a reservation for 8 and we didnt even have enough space to all eat comfortably. I had to hold my plate in my hand and eat. They dont accept cards only cash, which is ridiculous. Most of these spots are just for hookah and wings but want to charge for everything. Wouldnt go back, foods not even worth it.
I set a reservation for a group of 4. We parked and walked over to the restaurant on time. There was a line but we had reservations so you would think wed be priority over walk-ins. NOT AT ALL!! We were told everyone in line had a reservation (NOT TRUE). We stood in line for about 50 minutes. We finally make it to the front. They tell us to come in just to have us stand behind the hostess stand. Did I mention as we stood there, they continued to seat walk-ins. Come to find out they canceled our reservations. I let Gloria know that wed been standing out in the line after being told everyone in line had a reservation. I love supporting my black business. I will not be back. If could give negative stars I would. Just a terrible experience. 😔
If I could rate 0, I would. Service was horrible all around. One waitress servicing the entire patio?!! It took 40 minutes to get water. Brunch menu was minimal, so I went with shrimp and grits and it was literally a joke. Flavorless and barely enough to feed a small child. Who knew someone could screw up a classic. SMH
If I could rate a 0 I would. I waited an hour for a drink… no apology or anything was issued. It took 30 mins for our hookah and the server was HORRIBLE! She had a very nasty attitude and was not attentive at all. We needed a hookah tip and she told one of us to go grab one off an empty table that wasn’t open. This place used to be one of my go to’s but I’d never step place into this establishment again. Hands down the worst experience EVER!
The food was great, the waitress was very pleasant. However, we had a 12pm reservation and the place was not open on time. Not to mention staff was casually walking in after 12pm. We parked our car and waited valet shows up at 12:17 and asked up to pay. They were late and asked us to move or they would be towing us. Thank goodness for the owner she spoke up and informed them they will not be towing anyone they were not on time, after another manager told us the valet had nothing to do with them. I really enjoyed the food but I will pass on this one.
Stopped by for a happy hour on Monday and immediately made the decision to make this my new go-to after-work bar. The music was great, the interior is nice and luxe and the service was incredible! I sat at the bar and was served by Alex, she was really patient with my friend and me and even gave great drink recommendations. Side note: theres free parking, free entry, and free hookah (until 8 pm) on Monday! Def worth it.
Drinks are okay, hookah was very weak. Service was pretty trash. We were the only group that wasn’t black at the place and they were telling our group members “you’re with that group of Mexicans?”. I also think that’s why the service was trash towards us , we got attended last and groups that came after us would get their stuff first. Overall, I’d say there’s better spots around.
Service was lacking ❌️(1)The hookah team needs to be organized or replaced.I chased a young lady around just to get my hookah coals topped off. It wasnt even her job so I understand her going a bit above and beyond. The hookah team left before the second team could show up. BAD ORGANISATION AND SCHEDULING. I ended up financially incentivizing the young lady to help us and the hookah service was still lacking. She changed our coals once then said the hookah team was on the way. We were there 2 more hrs they never showed.Inconsistencies in business practices❌️(1) at part of the day, they stated they didnt take American Express, then changed up, and said they allowed the use of the card. Very shaddy. The leadership needs to do a better job to properly desiminate information to their staff.Food was Amazing✅️(1) if anything, they have mastered food. The food was amazing and was fresh and delicious. They got all our orders rightVibe A1✅️(1) if you are chasing a relaxed lounge vibe this is the spot and the vibe is key and crucial. My friends and I had a great time with the Dj and alround environment.In summary(1) Staff communication(2) Scheduling(3) business practices and policiesAll need attentionThis bar is great and can be and is more than just a cool place to eat and listen to music they just need to realize and focus in on that. All in all I wouldnt mind going back but Im not in a rush there is some work to be done.
From business owner to business owner your manager Gloria should be unseen or not employed there at all. When we 1st arrived she barked out instructions as though we were employees instead of paying guests. She never said hi or welcome only asked if we had a reservation. We confirmed, only to be advised there was bar seating only . Even though it was at 5 percent capacity. Her negative energy and bad vibes had us ready to go, but when I was greeted by our pleasant server Tara things begin to look up . Her customer service was excellent. The establishment needs cosmetic work. The wings were tasty and the grits were okay. Overall would I return? Probably not .
We had a reservation for 8pm. Showed up the place to as completely empty on a Saturday night, then we’re told well we have to give up our table by 9:30pm for a private event (which was unknown to us when making the reservation), and they were out of a few of there menu options. Trashy establishment. Don’t waste your time going there. We promptly left and had dinner somewhere else.
Its cash only. I was immediately annoyed to see a Cash Only sign when walking in. Its 2023...when I come to spend money I dont use cash...except to tip. You bring cash to a strip club. Also, the waitress was real dry starting off so I just skipped ordering anything altogether. She eventually warmed up to our table but Im good on ever going back. My friend ordered the dwarf-size chicken wings they serve and the swai they call catfish. Everything was seasoned well but, like most of these spots now, what you get doesnt match the menu price.
I decided to try Bar 2200 for my bday. The whole experience was HORRIBLE for me and my family. The door guy was rude and unprofessional. It was 8 of us seated at this little table. I must say the waitress was very nice and helpful. After asking 5 times we was finally moved to a bigger area. Don’t get the shrimp and girts. The lamb chops was good but small and cold. We was forced to close our tab for a shift change. We waited for 20 minutes for a new waitress before asking a bartender and manager . No one ever came back to our table. Instead the manager walked around with a snobby attitude. Customer service is lacking in this establishment.
Food left alot to be desired. Understaffed but our waitress was very apologetic even though she wasnt the manager or cook she had five tables with 5 or more consumers at each table to take care of. Food undercooked when voiced our concerns Manager never appeared to apologize for the inconvenience or the meals that was served
The establishment was nice the waitresses, was nice and pretty the DJ had everyone jamming. BUT The owner had a attitude issue not wanting to let us in because we had one person we was missing it was 10 of us and she abated she couldnt seat us if we didnt have our full party, we felt that was odd and. So we eventually just went in without our 11th person and we had a good time the fish was good, the shrimp and grits they only gave three shrimps for a whole bowl of grits though.
First off, I rarely, or never, give 5 stars. But I had to make sure to come write a review on this place. Food was really good and very reasonably priced. Happy hour was on point! Wait staff was friendly and fast. Environment was so fun! Great music! It was R&B night and the songs rotated between nowadays music all the way to the 90s! We had a great time! We will definitely be returning!
Booked a $2000 section for New Years Eve after already paying a deposit had to wait in a line for 35 minutes and didnt get in to the club until 11:45. We had to rush the bottle girls to bring out all our bottles so we had something to bring in the new years. All around bad service.
I came here this Sunday for brunch and it was such a vibe! The food and the drinks were amazing but the service was top tier! Alex was my server and she was so attentive and helpful! I will definitely be back to see her!
New to this area of Houston, was there celebrating a friends birthday and this place was a whole vibe. From Security, time I stepped into the place, waitresses/ bartender, food, drinks and music/dj. It was everything... the food was hot as soon as it hit the table and the bar tender that we were serviced by, she was very attentive to us and our needs... she made sure we were good. I would definitely recommend this spot and would visit again when in the Houston area for a good/ chill time/ vibe.
First off whoever does this restaurants website is AMAZING, because those pictures are not what it actually is. Bar? No. This is at best a low level lounge trying to appear like an up-scale bar. Heres how: establishment has a down stairs and upstairs area. Downstairs appears to be pretty much just a bar--that was closed and also had a set of restrooms, which stank of sewage... The ladies in our group said their restrooms were not very clean.Upstairs is another bar with lounge tables, and benches. These are basically square shaped bar tables partially surrounded by velour covered benches-I say partially because unless you sit in a corner you will have 1 side of the table with no seating... The restrooms up here were in worse shape..to the point that the ladies refused to use them. Like its one thing to say that a restroom is in need of maintenance, another to say its in need of repair..dripping wet walls? The bar area upstairs has 4 big-screen tvs combined together behind it, but a rather small selection of liquors. On the Saturday evening that we went all of this is behind a heavy cloud and odor of weed-despite alleged rules and intermittent security...Food:80% of the menu is overpriced BAR FOOD. The remaining 20% although unique, dont include sides for which you have to order à la carte. This what is done at upscale restaurants, not a lounge. I mean they have 25 wings platter for $60.00Some of the items such as the salmon LOOKED good, but the smothered option was too salty. Chicken wings tasted like reheated Wal-Mart wings, fish platter was fried in old cooking oil-was way darker than it should have been, and that was seeing it under the lounge-lighting.Drinks: The cocktails are also over-priced for how watered down they were. Should be reduced by 1/2 the cost.The service was pretty slow as they had 1 maybe 2 waitresses for the entire 2nd floor.All-in-all this place is no for me and I wouldnt suggest anyone else waste their time visiting. With a little attentiveness things could be drastically improved, because some of those menu items look delicious and the side dishes were pretty good. However management has to want to make those changes. As a customer I have a hard time accepting this place as a bar/lounge with upscale pricing and fare options when you give me plastic-ware to eat with and solo-cups for my drinks--UNLIKE THOSE GLASSES THEY SHOW IN THE VIDEOS/PICS ON THEIR WEBSITE.
I went here for my daughters birthday on 11-6-2022. First, $20-$40 to park! They sat us outside and it was pretty warm. I went to cut fans on, and none of them worked. Mgmt stated she was going to get someone to fix them. We never saw her again. We had to wait a hour and a half for our food. Our waiter never kept us updated regarding our food nor did she ever come back to see if we needed more water or drinks. The DJ outside music was depressing (OMG) and had it loud to where the speakers sound like nothing but static. Finally, we got our food and we ate. Now we ready to go but guess what, we couldnt find our waiter. We had to go look for her! I dont mind tipping but its places and people like this, I dont like tipping but of course gratuity was already added! Horrible experience!! I wont be going back.
Made reservations and was not aware that valet charged $20 and you had to park your own car. The music was good and the food was ok. Didn’t like that you only had two hours with your reservation and they make sure to let you know when your time is up. Tried it once and will not go back again.
Overall the vibe was great! DJ was on point food was good especially the wings, drinks was good. The server we had was great she was really nice. When we got there they were late opening the doors some of the employees were standing watching us outside and seem to be unprofessional. 10-15 minutes later the security guard showed up and finally they opened doors. We hard a nice size party so they took us upstairs and put us in a little booth, limited space, we asked to change due to the fact it wasn’t much room to eat but they weren’t able to accommodate that...bummer! They didn’t have the frozen drinks at first and finally once they started to make them they told us we were on a time slot and had to leave even though we were still trying to spend money! I was disappointed we were having a good time with plenty more money to spend! And what made me more upset was that when we were leaving there wasn’t a line of people at all..so to limit people is a bit absurd. Considering all of us are from out of town it was a different experience in a good and bad way. I feel like this establishment should learn to be more customer friendly.
Yes this is place is a No go do not go there very unprofessional where do I start at , first off they didnt say anything when we made the RSVP that there would be a charge for parking so when we came the guys ,which were very rude said $20 for front and $40 for the back which to not mention is the Bar whole parking area , which they are charging us to park our own car which is not not even Valet parking. Then when we get inside the whole Bar is not up to part it looks like it needs more painting to do and it Is half way done just to open and make money off people. Now the Music and Food was good but the whole experience was not to good for us and we had party of 6 which they limit your time to sit at the tables RIDICULOUS!! ! We definitely are not going back here. ❗️❗️ Then last but not least the security comes over and whispers we got people downstairs waiting its a 2 hour limit which was also UNPROFESSIONAL when clearly we was leaving anyways cause we were not pleased with the experience❗️❗️
Went here for brunch, for my wifes birthday. Had the grits and lamb, hands down the best lamb Ive had to date. They played good music, when we went, it was a little chilly, they had the heaters out. The drinks were good! Next time I go back to Houston Ill definitely return.
Went for Sunday brunch. 1. Food was delicious. I ordered wings and French toast. 2. Service was better than I expected. I had no issues with my waitress or the staff. 3. The dj was good.Took off a star due to small brunch menu, the drinks came much later than our food and the music was distracting because you could hear both upstairs and downstairs playing at the same time.
It was ok.Drinks and service was the best thing about this place.Vibe and music on point hopefully it is better when the night has come as seen on the website.Food was pricey for example there are no prices on the website so you already know it is gonna be high.Chairs and booth need some work done.Restrooms need cleaning every hour on the hour.Suggest you get there early for a good park as well as seating.
Arrive early… a line will form. The music and food was on point. I ordered the Hennessy French toast and wings. Everything was so good. Highly recommend. The Dj was shouting out folks for their birthday. My only complaint was I finished my meal and never got my alcoholic beverage. I took it as I didn’t need it anyway, so I canceled it. So did my friends. It was a frozen drink and they kept saying it’s watery, give it a minute. Next thing I knew, my plate was empty lol and we were ready to go. I wouldn’t hold it against them. Service was great. The security guard even took our picture out front. Everyone was nice. The bar was nicely decorated and clean. Will definitely return.
The long wait for a table without reservations is not worth the food, service, and ambience received. In comparison to other like restaurants in Houston, this experience was subpar.The food itself was good. It came out hot. We were served with plastic utensils which made cutting French toast difficult.The bathroom didn’t have water but the establishment still allowed it to be open. Yuck. I wonder how many staff members were using that restroom with no water to clean their hands.The service was subpar. We had to remind our server of things over and over again.
Food was amazing, drinks and our server was amazing🔥🔥 but the hostess was really rude and put us out after two hours, we had a ticket of $300 between 4 people plus a hookah and she told us we couldn’t sit at the bar to finish our drinks or hookah we had just purchased and that we had to leave the building. The fact that you only have two hours to eat and drink and smoke on a hookah… so if you trying to go somewhere and chill with your friends and have a good vibe this wouldn’t be the place! I recommend Lost and Found, Bar 5015, The Address, Prospect Park you most definitely want be put out and the vibe is what’s up!!!!! I’ve never been treated so bad in my life and all I try to do is support our Black owned businesses but I’ll still support others just not this one….
Went last night for R&B night and had so much fun! For a Thursday there was nice crowd and the music was great! Went for my birthday and didn’t have high expectations but they far succeeded!The only thing that was a bummer was the hookah. For $30 they were very dull. Probably won’t get that again next time I come.I’ll definitely be back again.
The food, drinks, & vibe was definitely excellent. Our waitress Kay really set the tone in making customer service & our overall experience worth coming to this establishment. Kay was very friendly, knowledgeable & courteous!!!! She is definitely a keeper.
Went for a friends birthday. The music was on a very short playlist, we were there for like 2 hours and the playlist repeated itself 3 times. Food and drinks are decent. Waitress was not so great and messed up everyone’s tab.
If I could give this place a negative I would... attempted a VIP reservation online prior to my scheduled event. Could NOT reach anyone at any of the listed numbers via phone or text! Beware guys scamming at its finest! Now I have to figure out how to get my deposit back 😩
We ended up outside it was kinda coldbut they had heater outside. The occasional breeze was a little chilly overall it was a nice place to come out and have a fun time with friends. This was my first time just make sure you have cash or card it is a little costly but worth it. Try the Hennessey wings they were good and the drink called adios 🤗🤗
First time checking out Barr 2200 and will definitely be back. The MOD CJ was Amazing. Asked him for flavors of Hookah and we combined a new flavor that he even liked. I ordered the catfish and fries it was ok to be honest. Location is duked off but the DJ was rocking out Friday. The bar tenders are good eye candy AND heavey on the pour 😁. Next time in Houston ill be back!!
It was like 16 of us. We were attending for a birthday celebration. It was many of our first time visiting this spot. After arriving we waited about 10 to 15mins to be seated which wasnt too bad considering the large party. We sat outside in the patio area in August in Texas but to my surprise it wasnt really hot. The area is well covered with plenty fans so it was cool. We all had a great time. The dj was good, the mc was good, the vibe was good, the hookahs was good, the food was a little over priced for the portion size but it was good. The drinks look appealing but arent that strong and Im a light drinker so that says a lot. The parking is $20 but we found free parking along the street. Park at your own risk. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves and will definitely return.
$20 to park!!!! Small space and smokey from the hookahs. The seating is so small so youre squeezed together. Brunch menu that is on the site is $10 more then what is listed. And gratuity is already included so bill was very high. It was crazy.
Let me start off by saying this brunch was lit ! We came for my birthday had a lit Dj very interactive and fun ! Server was nice good service food came out it was delicious the lamb chops are a must try !!! The only complaint is we was seated outside it was extremely hot they had fans but you couldn’t feel them also there is a strict 2 hour time on the tables if you don’t have a section so I would say if you go get your orders in pretty quick because one the two hours is up they will ask you to leave ! Great time and a lot of fun
In town visiting with my daughter. She loves the vibe here. Very chilled relaxing spot for Happy Hour. Music was live, food was good, tasty. Serviices was attentive with a cute smiile.The spot was heating up and about to start popping about the time we left. Nice spot to visit if youre visiting from out of town. Think youll like it.
Took forever to get our food, drinks and hookah. My French toast wasnt edible but my catfish was on point. The security guard James was cool though. The first dj was fire. The music and James made the wait okay.
I will never come here again . I came out for my wife’s birthday & the waitress barely waited on us and then when we got the bill she over charged us. We were there for happy hour and she charged us full price. Stating she asked if i wanted happy hour or regular price drink why come during HAPPY HOUR if i wanted a regular drink. I do not recommend this club.
Not a good experience at all, when I arrived at 12:20 on a Sunday (they open at 12) they were not open and we had to wait outside for them to sweep the floors and put the chairs down. After we finally got in the waitress took 30 mins to take our order. Being the only people in the building our food took 1-2 hours to be ready (and they forgot a couple orders). The waitress had an attitude the entire time and seemed high. I didn’t even taste the food because I never got it!! I ended up leaving. The music was good but that’s about it. I would not recommend this place.
I had a horrible experience on Sunday the 14th. They treat you badly If you dont have reservations or a section. They only have bar seating open and you only get to sit there for 2hrs. Once our 2hrs came they had security come over to me to escort my friend and I out. Treated us as tho we did something. This is why black business cant thrive. Simply because how you treat people. They also didnt have many people in there to handle us the way they did. I will never return to this business and wont refer anyone.
Sunday, Dec 2021. 9pm-ishParking is... NOT FREE.($20 for self park. $40 for valet)The ambiance is chic.The music is great. I didnt hear any mixing so I dont think it was from a DJ.They were having reverse happy hour when I arrived.The venue was maybe at 10% capacity. They do have an upstairs but Im not sure if anyone was up there.It was a real chill night. I think this is a great pre-gaming location. Great location, good music, cheap drinks, photo worthy backdrops, inside or outside seating, food (didnt order any) and televisions with sports playing.
This place is great depending on what you’re looking for. If you want to chill with a good vibe come after 5, sit on the patio, order a hookah eat and enjoy the music. I personally can not “turn up” here as the upstairs is kind of small for so many people to be picked in. Great spot tho and the food is on point. Bomb drink prices and they run weekly specials.
The vibe was real upbeat. Great DJ, great sound and good service for the amount of ppl in there. They have an inside and outside amd we had a section outside for a party of 9. Everyone raved about the food. We ordered lamb cops/collard greens, shrimp pineapple bowl, cajun pasta and blackened salmon meals. Everything was on point and it didnt take too long to come out. For drinks I bought the $600 package which comes with ANY two bottles +bottle of champagne- ordered Dusse and Casamigos Reposado, although we never got the champagne it was still cool. Outside of the bottle packages the most expensive bottles were $360 and the lowest was $180(Jack, Jameson, titos) there was no dress code, NO cover charge and you can smoke outside. Upstairs after 10 the club opens, although downstairs outside is a lil club if its owns also. Not sure what upstairs is like.
A tourist and was looking forward to the event. Event started hours late, some of the workers were unclear of what was being served and when the kitchen closed. When my party and I were let in the kitchen was almost closed?? Half of our order came out other half took another 20+mins. Upon entry I’m not sure if there was a dj or not but it was an afrobeats, dancehall type of party and the playlist was not that. Food was alright not worth waiting over an hour. I really was looking forward to the kulture event they were having but I’m disappointed honestly. After 20 minutes the music got better and service by the ladies was not bad. Security and other staff were also nice. If communicated better maybe I would’ve understood the long wait.
Dj made the spot most definitely young cutie with some seasoned ears. Was disappointed that the entire parking lot was 20.00 a spot, but better than walking a block back to the place. It was brunch bun no eggs served?
My partner brought home some lamb chops and baaabyyyyy they were so delicious!!! He also said the drinks were decent. I can’t attest to that but the chops were cooked to perfection. Nice and juicy medium cooked. I had them with the potatoes and greens.
Usually a good place to get drinks and hookah.. we went in between the time when the kitchen closed for an hour to get ready for dinner .. our food came out a lot later than expected.. maybe because everyone ordered at the same time . Overall I would go back .
They charge $100 pre-authorization charges to your credit card and do not tell you prior to doing that. They have signs at the bar referencing the automatic 15% gratuity and the 20% gratuity for walking out on your tab but do not have any signage regarding the $100 pre-authorization charge. I spent about 24 dollars last night and have a 100 dollar charge on my statement. I would hate to see what it would have been if I would have spent $100 or more! I would have preferred them to keep my card at the bar versus do that. I should be given that option. Not have my card charged for an undisclosed amount! I went to another bar after that and the bartender kept my card, closed my transaction before I left and all went well with that purchase. I was charged the base amount. This purchase was absolutely ridiculous! I will never use my card here again!
We went 3.21.21. Its a no for me. $20 to park your own car. They kick you out after 2 hours. I had to stand the whole time because our reservation was for three people and four came, so they refused to let us have one of the several empty chairs. Just terrible customer service. 100% would not recommend. We spent almost $300, so it was annoying to not have a good time while spending money. The food is good, though, but not worth the terrible customer service.
The worst! $80 per person for nothing!! Food is good but very small portions! Wait forever for the to notice you need service! Had to find the waitress several times! Yeaa wont be back!
Nice bar, but my issue was with the hostess. We were approached as soon as we got to the door about having on sandals. We had to pay $50 just for that even though we had purchased a section and paid $40 for parking. I feel like thats ridiculous. Why give us a hard time when we’re bringing money and good vibes to your establishment? I spoke with the manager Marcus after entry. He was attentive, but nothing was done for us being over charged. No one told us about this “dress code” before purchasing a section.

Paid $20 to wear shoes with no back. Then found out I couldnt go upstairs. 😒. Why not say that beforehand? I had other shoes in my car. I assumed i was paying to be comfortable. Then I see numerous females with shoes with no backs going upstairs after my friend and I were told that we couldnt. However, we werent dressed half naked. I guess they make an exception for them. I waited 30 min each time I ordered a drink. I timed it. I had 4. It wasnt ridiculously packed for that to be a thing. People just sit at the bar and talk to the employees, dont eat, dont order, just talk.At 11 drink $10. An hour later same drink $13.
I was here yesterday 3/28/21. The food and DJ was great. Our waitress Nika was amazing!!! Why 3 stars because your floor manager was rude and unwelcoming. As I walked in I was asked how many was in our party I replied 2. She sent us directly to the bar. After sitting there went back and politely asked if we could sit at the table that had 3 chairs. She rudely said no its for parties of 3 to 4. After being there for about 30 minutes a party of 2 come in and is sat at the table we asked about. Conveniently she moved the extra chair to the bar. As a floor manager you try to accommodate your guest she lacked professional customer service skills. After being there for an hour and a 1/2 she sent the security guy to ask us to leave because we had exhausted our time. After speaking to our wonderful waitress Nika she stated that there was not a time limit on tables there. If so everyone there who was there before us should have been leaving as well we were the only ones pointed out.
Usually Im having a blast here but this go round me and the girls decided to brunch. We didnt rsvp a table but was still able to be seated with the whole party present. Once seated, it took about 35 mins for a server to acknowledge our table and this is after we flagged someone down. We immediately ordered hookah, and drinks along with food. The hennymosas were good we each bought a bottle for ourselves(lol) the hookah came out it was ok. But for some odd reason the food never came out finally after complaining I spike with a manager and the server told us there was no catfish or lamb chops. I felt this couldve been said earlier and gave us option to stay or choose other selections. Oh and the dj was jamming
Went for R&B Thursday and it was such a vibe. The DJ played it all and I enjoyed every second. The staff was friendly. There are 2 floors. I didn’t go upstairs, but the downstairs area was a little small. The place was packed.

First time visiting...Service: Horrible and the place was fairly empty until another hour or so.Parking: Their lot is ‘permit only’ by another company until 5:30pm, M-F so good luck parking nearby and hiking over if you arrive before then or if it’s full by 6.Drinks: I can’t give feedback on the quality of drinks because I didn’t have any but the prices for happy hour seemed reasonable. Other guests advised that they were good so kudos to the bartender on duty. (They had to order at the bar constantly because the waitress was never around.)Food: Not great and overpriced. ($14.57 for 6 wings and a handful of fries. You’d fair far better with Wingstop unless you HAD to have something to snack on while there.)Would I return: Not likely unless required if a friend has a special occasion function there.
I would not be surprised if this place goes out of business soon. They were supposed to have a brunch event this past Saturday but there was no food or wait staff. The bar tender was not attentive. She did not ask me or other patrons if she could get us something. Usually when someone sits at a bar, the bartender tries to tend to the customer. She spent a good amount of time on her cell phone. The owner ended up buying some chic fil a nuggets for people to eat....so bootleg and ghetto. I will not be returning. I was ready for some brunch food but it ended up being a disappointment. The only good thing there was the DJ.
My experience here on a Saturday night was beyond what a typical bar would offer. The two floors had different vibes to satisfy different reasons people have for going out. The lower level had a lounge appeal with an outdoor patio area. If youre in the mood to party, then head upstairs for the club like feel and sections. The hip hop tracks were on point and kept the lively ambiance going. Drinks were good, service was great, and parking was available. I would recommend.

We arrived for a birthday brunch. The hostess messed up the reservation, the security was rude. After a 49 minute wait we were seated in a section with 2 small cocktail tables for a party of 11 which meant someone would have to eat out of their lap. The brunch menu didnt have many choices if you dont eat grits or Hennessy french toast then your SOL.
I feel like the whole business plan of this place is greed. I have never been to an establishment where you have to pay for a table to sit down. The way they frame it though is that in order to sit down you must buy a bottle or pay for a section which is 500+. If you don’t pay for the table, you can stand, but there is nowhere to stand. So it feels like a ploy to get as much money as possible. The hostess were nice but the parking guys are rude. Parking is $20 for self parking and $40 for valet.We ended up leaving and going to KAMP which I would highly recommend over this place.
I went to this place on a Saturday night. I’m from out of town, live in Atlanta, and was expecting Houston to show my friend and I a good time. When we first arrived, it was about 11 something. We went upstairs and I asked the security guard where do we sit. He pointed to some woman and she came over. I asked, “Do we just sit anywhere?” She said, “Ummm, no!” with an attitude. So I said, “Ummm, well, where can we sit?” She rolled her eyes and was basically like, “Idk, I guess you can sit at the bar.” Keep in mind that there weren’t hardly any people in there and what she really wanted was for us to pay for a section. Honestly, if her attitude was better, I would have inquired about prices but at this point, I’m annoyed because how dare you? If you didn’t want to work that night, you should’ve stayed home! You think you’re gonna get an attitude and get my money? WRONG!!!! Ok… so we go to the bar and sit down. We really came for food and drinks anyway. We order our food and then the bartender comes back and says, “We move the chairs from the bar at 12am.” It was 11:45pm and we had just ordered!!! So I asked, “Well where do we sit ti eat our food?” She told me she didn’t know. So let me get this straight, you mean to tell me that I’m going yo have to stand up and eat my food or buy a section? See a common theme here? Ridiculous!!!! My friend and I just got up and left! What kind of establishment are y’all running? It wasn’t even a vibe in there and y’all are running away paying customers? I will NEVER come back!!! Do better!!!!!!
Don’t waste your time or money. Rules…Rules..and more Rules!!! They have a public parking lot but still charge $20 for valet even though you park your own car. If it’s less than 4 ppl you can’t sit on the patio they make you sit at the bar. If more ppl come to join your table THEY CANT…. It’s a hard rule if they don’t come with you initially they can’t join you later. Everybody at our table food came cold not nasty but mediocre and cold. Dj was too lame on a Sunday brunch party but our server (I don’t know her name but she had braces) was very sweet! S.N they add gratuity anyway 2 hr max time no matter where you sit so eat quick!!
The atmosphere was super chill, great vibes from our waitress as well as the other patrons, dope music!! Only thing is we were looking forward to the brunch that was advertised on the bars flier on Eventbrite (set for 10.31.20), but were told its no longer served on Saturdays.
Had my girl fly in from ATL so we can hang out after I went over for Spring Break Weekend. I wanted to treat her to brunch with a lounge vibe since thats what she likes. Decent music, chill atmosphere (except for 2 negative incidents concerning others on both side of us and the last having us had one of our own drink on us because a chick picked it up to throw at whomever she was fighting with). If only they had a better Crown selection. Server was 👍
It was fun, have never been to a day party. The DJs were amazing and funny. Everyone was dancing and having a good time. Bartender was basic service, maybe she was having a day. Would definitely recommend, especially on a Sunday.
Food and drinks were very good. Fantastic happy hour prices. Downside was the waitress had a lot of difficulty in separating the bill. Ill give them time to correct that issue before I patronize them again with a group.
Setup is nice, but leather seating should be replaced or repaired. Waitress for patio seating ignored us and we had to get up to get the attention of a different waitress to get service. Will not attend again unless full section is reserved for special function.
I tried to give this spot another try, but that was a bad decision. The flyer states free hookah mondays, but its a catch because you have to spend $20 just to get the hookah. The waitresses and bartenders are rude, they only cater to guys. I came in I was not greeted, a guy came in the bartender said hello how ate you sir. Im human just like a man treat me the same, very disrespectful. The waitress finally came to the table before I was rudely asked to sit at the bar by her; she stated since your alone you sit at the bar. It took the waitress forever to come over just because they are smoking and drinking and not tending to customers. The manager, I am assuming that was him just stood there with no reaction how his establishment is being ran poorly. Please give better customer service. I will never return here.
If 1/2 a star was available It wouldt been given that !! This place was truly a horrible experience . A group of my friends and I were visiting from Miami and decided to visit for brunch . We made reservations as advised via Eventbrite . We even arrived an hour before opening to ensure that everything would be smooth . Unfortunately it didnt go as planned . During opening we were informed that our reservations wouldnt be accepted because our party was too large . We informed the security guard whom also was their puppet regarding the details of our reservations . We advised him that it didnt require us to be seated together .He paced back and forth as the messenger to basically say that since we werent purchasing bottle service we wouldnt be seated . The entire staff and even the coward who was coaching the security guard was very unprofessional un-welcomingand and dismissive ! I wouldnt recommend this establishment to an animal .
This place is ridiculous. I would not recommend this place to no one especially if you’re coming from out of town. Nothing but false advertising on Eventbrite. They make you reserve tickets and when they feel like your party is too big they deny you right to sit down and eat unless your reserve a table or bottle, but what’s the purpose for reservation on Eventbrite, Miami will NEVER try no foolishness like this. We also agreed to break our party up and still denied service. Oh let me not forget they want you to stay in your seat and don’t move around like little children just because you ain’t get a table or bottle. Trying to support a black business is truly not worth it. I’ll spend my money with cow before I give it to this establishment.

This place is terrible. They charge $20 for parking. $20 for guys to get in. $150 minimum to seat at a table. Staff are rude. They only take cash or cashapp (ghetto) Lots of stairs to go up to get to the bar area which is extremely unsafe in case of a fight, fire or emergency no upstairs exit. Terrible not worth it. I spend $40’for parking and to get in with my husband just to walk right back out.

Hostess stated she’s not going to argue and proceeded to ask if I wanted to stay. I immediately left! I DO NOT RECOMMEND. No wonder they have a 3.9 rating I should’ve looked at that before I came! Went to try for Sunday brunch. Paid for parking and the parking lot attendant kept saying no refunds.???? So my husband and I park and go in. The security tells us theres an hour to 1 and a half hours for waiting. (But we couldnt wait inside nor was there a wait list) so we go sit in the truck and begin to wait. But we look and see multiple people go to the door and go in. So we thought maybe we needed reservations. I called and got forwarded to an instant reply text. So I asked did we have to have a reservation and was later responded with No. So we waited a few minutes and continued to see people go in. What type of customer service yet alone what type of people do they let enter. We will not be going back.

We came for Sunday brunch it was horrible. You have your customers standing outside for hours because we didnt make reservations. The reservation line waiting just as long to come in to be seated. I think it was very unprofessional not to tell your customers how long the wait will be. We sat in line very clueless for hours.
The food was delicious. I had jerk lamb chops and grits. Dont let the grits fool you they were great. I didnt care for the Hennessey mimosas it was to sweet. The dj was ok. He would get the crowd hype then he would kill the vibe as if we were having too much fun or something by going way off with the music. But over all it was a good experience. I look forward to returning when I come back to Houston....
Eh. You have to pay to park and the door is like fort Knox complete with pat down. Once you successfully get inside, the place is the size of a living room and is a little worse for the wear (there was a leaking toilet and holes in the ceiling..dont get me started on the filthy curtains dangling randomly in the side room) We went on a Sunday so had to order from the brunch menu which isnt extensive. The mimosas were refreshing but the catfish and French toast was unsatisfying and left much to be desired. The music is loud and unedited which is ok for a friday/Saturday night but Sunday at 1pm? Maybe no so much. All in all I will skip this one in the future.
The DJ is amazing!!! Ive been twice and the music was good both times. The food was good both times too! The drinks were better the 2nd time. The service isnt slow but its not super fast either. Beware of where you park!!!!
They were inconsistent with who they allowed in according to their dress code. My friend wore YSL sandals, but she wasnt allowed entry, because they were strapless and the security said they were flip flops. Do you not know the difference in sandals and flip flops?? Those of us who were allowed inside, did not enjoy the crowd and left early. By the way, the friend who wasnt allowed in, also wasnt refunded for the parking she paid for 30 seconds before she was denied entry. All around, it wasnt a great experience.You may want to visit other establishments if youre in town looking for a good time.
The service was terrible. We waited for over 20 minutes to be greeted to the point that I asked a server to help us and ordered drinks at the bar. We never got our hookah so we ended up leaving after an hour. Killed our whole vibe. The food is fire though. I ordered the jerk salmon and it was the best part of being there.
Relocated to Houston 8 months ago and finally came outside lol! Kay was our waitress and wassssss amazing! She checked on us often, made sure we had what we needed, & was a good vibe overall. The DJ was lit too! We were in line maybe 10-15 mins at the max. Def will return!
Super disappointed ~ food gets a 0!!Vibe/Decor is a 4 & our waitress, Mari, is a total 5!! We ordered Shrimp & Grits and the portion to sauce ratio was beyond poor along with the cafeteria style presentation. The grits were un-buttered waffle house quality served w/4 large (not jumbo) shrimp with dry seasoning shaken over them + 2 tbsps of sauce. Yep! Definitely left me wanting more... More care, more creativity, more flavor, more thought to what youre presenting to your customers ESPECIALLY to be located in such a diversely delicious part of town. The Hennessy Mimosas has a ratio of 70% juice + 10% Hennessy + 20% Champagne ~ just sad! We ended up buying more Hennessy to truly aquire the correct flavor. NOTE: You want to actually taste the Hennessy in a Hennessy Mimosa.. kind of the point! Mari you were amazing, fun, and professional ~ Thank You! The DJ was popping too. Id return for an after brunch vibe but NEVER again for the food.

Came to order food and a hookah but was told I cannot get a table unless we paid $250 for it. And while waiting for our food security & management kept bothering us about moving out of the walk way or being at the end of the bar while trying to place our order with the bartender but there was literally no place to stand since we couldnt sit & ppl was literally standing everywhere. Horrible experience I ended up canceling my food order and just going to another hookah lounge from the frustration & ridiculous prices to just sit & enjoy the food & hookah Ive purchased. They arrangement is horrible. And dont consider the needs of there customers. The bathrooms are filthy. If they are going to sell food and drinks then they should have a designated area for that & have a area for there club like experience. I shouldnt have to pay $250 just to sit down after already spending over $80 for food.
The food was delicious, the DJ was on-point with music Playlist. But the music was exceptionally loud. Had to scream to have a conversation. The atmosphere a bit too Ratchet..people dancing tweaking on furniture.. the drinks were weak..
The lady behind the bar about two weeks ago seems a little moody and rude when we tried to order. She was talking to another worker near the end of the bar, about 15 minutes later she finally took our order. Her attitude was a poor and eventually when canceled our order and left. Understanding it’s new and it’ll take time to get everything in order but you won’t last very long with people like that working there.
Very sub-par. The food, the service, and the atmosphere where all very basic. The drinks were below average at best. The one bright spot was a pasta dish a member of my party ordered. Other than that, I can seriously take it or leave it.
Amazing atmosphere! Servers were patient and checked on us often. They didnt assume we were good like most places. Also they were nice and professional throughout our visit. Not just at the end when they try and work for a tip
I would never again. Spent over 700.. rushed out… heavy. Moved up and down stairs. It’s the money for this bar:…most definitely. After paying they snatched the hookah without warning….. the waitress closed us out and left shift. This is a definitely NO …. Black owned ….. it’s horrible . 700 for three bottles we never finished. Be a don’t care person/baller for this BAR!. Even the owner wasn’t accommodating. Nooooooo…. Trust this warning.
Horrible experience!! Bar manager was rude!! Didn’t accommodate anybody in our party! Gave us the smallest both for 15 people! Kept telling our party to move! Over charged us for the both said it was a 5 bottle minimum every one around us only had two bottles😔 charge $20 for sandals with no backs but let women come in with Jordan gym shoes on!! Not a good experience at all!
Service was good,bottle girl was attentive to our section. Chicken wings was sooo delicious we had 2 platter that didnt stand a chance.Great environment,great music selection, Highly recommend it was a Saturday night.
I think its ridiculous we paid $30 for parking and $30 to get in just to not even have a spot to sit as most bars would. They were more focused on folks who paid for a section and didnt even want us standing by the bar. Where TF we were supposed to stand. But as a visitor from Florida I was extremely disappointed. Arrived around 5pm saturday first server was awesome from 5-7pm. second server over charged us stated happy hour was over at 7pm but the instagram page showed 9pm. Spoke with someone that claimed to be the manager problem didnt get resolved. PLEASE BEWARE THAT THEY CHARGE REGULAR PRICE DURING HAPPY HOUR THEY WILL COME UP WITH ALL KINDS OF LIES AND EXCUSES NOT TO HONOR HAPPY HOUR PRICES VERY UNPROFESSIONAL TO ME. WILL NOT RETURN THERE
In town from Georgia… went there with my brother and Tab came to $152! Had 2 orders of Lamb Chops w/Cheese Grits, 3 Drinks. I guess the price is average for nowadays
I never made it inside. When I pulled up the parking guy told me $40 to park. I told him absolutely not. He said ok $20. I paid the $20 and parked and went to the door. The security guard was Overly aggressive. He said $60 for you and $40 for you 2 guys to get in. We had on shorts in 90degree weather. And my guys had on hats. My friend had a section and they told her $40 to get in because she had on flats with a nice dress. Women must wear heels or pay $40. Yea I will never go here if I have to put pants on in this hot weather and pay $80 before I get in the door.
Food was good. Drinks were on point. Crowd was good. My only concern is closing your tab. If you have a tab, for some reason you cant see the itemized bill till after you sign it electronically. I guess I could have made a big deal and ask for it but there is a reason why they dont show it to you at first. When signing, It asks for you to add a tip but in actuality, the tip is already included. So in my situation , I tipped my bartender $19.Next time, pay cash.
VERY unprofessional. Attempted to eat at this establishment on 1/10/202. The hostess sat us at our table, we waited 30 minutes for the waitress to greet us only to tell us the kitchen was CLOSED. On today 1/17/2021 we waited 45 minutes to be seated. Then we waited a hour for the food to arrive. NOT IMPRESSED, never returning back. No organization at all!
While visiting Houston, Texas on August 29,2021. We visit this restaurant for a Birthday Celebration for 2 of my niece. However, after we made reservations on evite fir a partie of 27 in which several people did evites for party of 4. We was turned down saying the manager the part was to big and others made reservations with bottles. We find this for a Black owned business its was very shameful. We wanted to celebrate and enjoy out last day. We all will do a review and it wont be Good. .
Good atmosphere. The lamb chops 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. In fact that what lead me to leave a review. I went to Google to see if they were.open because I want some of them jerk lamb chops. Check it out you will enjoy it.
This place was amazing and the servers were awesome. The DJs for both nights we went were a vibe. If you go here definitely get the sections outside well worth it. We cut up okay Miami style
It took awhile for it to grow on me!!! The hookah host(guy) couldve been nicer. Wouldve been nice if they lifted the curtains to let the breeze in. Food was excellent, hookahs are strong, and waitresses were nice!!! Nice environment to chillout with music,food, hookah scene!!! Nice looking crowd with beautiful ladies!!! Fellas feel free to stop and have a drink at the bar and enjoy the scenery!!!
I’m writing this review during the 2022 NYE celebration. The DJ was terrible. He played sooooo many old songs. Terrible music. I didn’t even want to drink or smoke hookah because of the music. Do not go for NYE!!!!!!! Every song was 2000-2010. Trash.
My go to for a good time 7 days a week. Great drinks and food. $20 hookahs or less some days. The wait staff is amazing. The venue and restrooms are very clean. Highly recommend!
Terrible terrible experience, reserved a section for $500 for 10 people and was given a table that could barely sit 5. Waited 45 minutes to get in at a time that was preset. People without VIP had no problem getting in while VIP was backed up to the street. What sense does that make. Poorly managed club if youre thinking of going here try another option this should be last on anyones list. This was a Saturday night so honestly try a different club for the sake of your time and money.
Paid $750 for a section on the patio, asked several different people and several different times for them to turn the fans on, which never happened. My bf ended up passing out because it was so hot and we had to leave. Before we left, the electrical socket on the ceiling was leaking water, which is extremely dangerous! You would think with the amount of money this place brings in, that they would be able to fix fans and leaking pipes.
Came from out of town on the 4th of July weekend with 8 other friends. It was so packed and barely any room to move around downstairs. Upstairs was VIP and $500 for a section 😳. We stayed less than 15 min a.d paid $20 for valet.
Parking is horrible, and the lot vultures trying to capitalize on what is normally a free parking area is crazy. If you have an established business you should afford your patrons parking. I guess a good service in no longer part of business in the US, Get Dat Money.
Food is excellent but the customer service needs improvement. Waitresses are great but they can also be all over the place and music DJ music could improve. The hype is greater then the actual experience.
Shavon was our bartender she was fun!!! She was on my level. She recommended the lamb chops and collard greens. I will try next time . Good atmosphere and drinks
Cool spot Not a large selection of food items. Great music and the food was simply good! Chill spot for a quick meal and drink, you have a 2 hour limit in this establishment.
The customer service was horrible. My cousin prepaid for a reservation. We arrived on time and waited outside for over an hour. No assistance or reason why we waited for an hour. They were not prepared nor was anyone inside.
The worst I would never go back there again lets start with it was cash only so of course they had an ATM ok no problem use the ATM get up stairs the worst host bartender they gave us menu so we trying to order wasnt barely anything was available to eat the menu very disappointed she takes our drink order omg this girl took forever to bring drinks I had to go to the bar to see what was the hold up considering its wasnt a crowd at all 5 people at the bar she was smoking hookah and on the phone I was ready to leave then service was not great she didnt know anything every question was she didnt know she just a bartender definitely not worth the hype I dont know if just was a bad night might could be better on another night but that night was a no for me
Multi use bar/lounge that serves food and has great clientele. The Bar Manager Marcus was awesome. Super cool setting and the beautiful women working the tables were so nice.

Do not waste your money or time coming here. They will sell your section and give it away to someone else even after paying a deposit weeks before. Plus we were 2 bottles short and did not receive bottles until 1 a.m, an hour before closing time. Unorganized and definitely unprofessional..
What was advertised was not offered. No food was seen being served. Drinks were overpriced; 40.00 for 3 small less than 8 oz drinks. More of a club environment verses restaurant and bar. Parking price was ridiculous ; $50.00 for front row parking yourself another $40.00 to park second vehicle driven to park in back yourself verses $20 for valet parking to park in gargae across the street. Stayed less than 40 minutes. Was not impressed whatsoever. Very disappointed due to false advertising.

We went to see Boosie tonight n this bar just ripping people off. If you paid online then when you get there you got to pay AGAIN to get a wrist band to go upstairs where Boosie was at.. huh?? They should’ve said that on the website or on IG. Also the girl with the straight hair middle part at the door had a very bad attitude for no reason. She said that they stop taking event brite tickets at 11.. well they should’ve said that on the website or something. I feel like this was the bar n not Boosie doing this. A lot of people were complaining about this so Yal disput this with your banks since you did not get the service rendered

The advertisement for this place will have you thinking this the place to be..... The place is way too small for the crowds that come in there. I thought I was going out to have fun and instead I spent my time avoiding bumping into someone. This not the place to be at all. They have a dress code but aren’t acknowledging the fact they way over capacity..... If you want fun go somewhere else.
The place is cool the live dj is a nice touch and they have theme nights I was told so I think that keeps thing fresh and the staff there are good and the place is safe and fun so If you want to have some fun you should definitely check out this place and the drinks are nice and are affordable
Had a blast at the R&B night. Staff was amazing from the bouncers to the waitresses. And the food was bomb. I would definitely visit again!!!!

If I could give zero I would on NYE night we RSVP weeks in advance and the rsvp was for FREE ALL NIGHT with rsvp me and my dude get there at 10:41pm and was told rsvp was full and it was 45 for him and 25 for me! I show them the tickets showing it said free all night he then said for first 300 I ask where it say that on flyer or on rsvp with Eventbrite in clear print it said free all night I had the money but didn’t take cash out cause in my head we get in free and I can use my card at the bar so I ask for manager door guy say he at home in the bed! I ask to talk to the guy in charge for the night and he say sure and get a random worker to act like the manager I ask him if he was the manager he said no they was just lying all around! I ask how can you advertise free all night with rsvp to get traffic to your club then once someone get to your club you taxing at the door! So now we like ok we just paid 20 for parking let’s get some cash and come back before midnight we go straight to atm and back and within that time they jumped the price at the door to $60 to get in and $100 to skip line so we just left and said happy new year in the car I’m disgusted with how they conduct business cause if it’s free until 9 or first 300 then say that if I known I would’ve been prepared to pay at door or be earlier if I wanted to be free! It all came off like they were being grimy and dishonest to trick traffic to the club it wasn’t even a lot of people there just stay away from this place they are not professional and be taxing and lying and music was trash from what I heard

Very ghetto. The bartender mistook a $100 bill for a $20 bill. Manager took forever to come fix the problem. Then later that night people started fighting. A shooter shot 4 times in the air. Second time here and not ever coming back again.

Giving this place 3 stars because of false advertisement. It was stated that there is always free entry and free parking, however, when a group of us arrived last night to try this place out parking was $20 for valet and $20 to park yourself (absurd), lmao. I have never heard of such a thing so we decided to go elsewhere.
